What's your opinion on the joltik/galvantula designs? I love them, but they deifinitely could've gone way harder on the tarantula aspect (why so little legs??)

the thing with many arachnid designs is that 8 legs is a lot of legs to manage, and spiders have pretty stout bodies too, so its not like centipede/milipede designs that can easily stick one leg in each section. This means that for animation (both normal and game), posing, modeling etc, dealing with their legs can be very annoying, and thus theyre cut down on the number.

Especially for a cartoony game like pokemon. its hard to stick 8 legs in the simplified designs of the series without cluttering it up or making unclear animations. Spidops does a trick of combining the legs into 4 larger limbs.

now, i do wish theyd try a biiit harder. Its hard, but 8 legs can be achieved and I'd rather 6 legs than just 4 for sure

She's my favorite sim to play right now! Also, I think this is the first time I'm talking about any of my sims lore but I really wanted to talk about her because idk, she's so cool and I love her...

Her story for me it's a little funny because I never planned her to be my oc at all... since lovestruck came out I knew I wanted to create a special save for the new world so I did it and because I loved it so much I wanted to play with my simself a bit more so I built magnolia promenade for my simself, and while creating it, I started doing some of my neighbors. I had the idea to some of them. These was going to be and elderly couple who lives on the first floor. I created their whole house and while I was thinking about their lore I knew I wanted them to have a big family, and they could use the extra bedroom for receiving their grandkids for stayovers!! but after all, I decided to let one of their Grandchilds live with them just because I wanted more people to live in my residential rental lol and while I was creating her bedroom, I started visualizing her and when I created her, she turned better than what I was expecting :') and now I can't stop playing with her 😭💙 She's about to become a young adult and I have sooo much to expand her lore I'll be sharing more and more soon while I keep building my save.

For now, the only thing I'll share is these pics were taken by her boyfriend 👀 and these are going to be the the pics he will always remember before she breaks his heart 😭 and I feel so sad for him because he's such a cutie pie and she definitely doesn't deserve him! although I love her, she's a little bitchyyyy 🤭

Tagged by @setmeatopthepyre and @leashybebes and I think probably some other people of the past week thank you 🙏 I’ve been trying to fill some prompts in my inbox and failing so here’s some random selkie AU/lighthouse keeper!Buck I wrote in my notes app instead of sleeping ✌️

On the third day of the storm, there’s a body in the surf.

Buck spends a grim moment in the doorway hoping to see that it’s just a log, driftwood on the rocks, but the beam of his flashlight lights undeniably on dark hair and pale skin and Buck’s already moving down to the rocks before his brain has fully registered it.

“H-hey! Hey are you okay?” Buck calls over the hiss and crash of the spray. “Fuck that’s cold.” He’s already soaked from the rain but the bite of the water as he wades in still knocks the breath out of him.

The guy, and it is a guy, Buck can see him now, doesn’t respond, eyes closed and face slack as he bobs awkwardly in the water. “Please don’t be dead please don’t be dead,” Buck mutters as he reaches him, grimacing at the chill of the man’s body as he hooks his arm around him and heaves them both bodily back to shore.

It’s tough going, the rocks are slick with salt and rain and Buck reckons the guy must weigh 200 pounds alone without the water weighing them down. And it does, despite the man’s limited clothing Buck can feel the pull of it, a grasping hand trying to tug them both back under the surf, pulling him from the water is like dragging two magnets apart.

It’s a close thing, but he somehow manages to haul them both onto shore, sending a quiet apology that he’s sure goes unheard as the guy hits the rocks a little roughly.

He’s breathing, thank god, but his skin is freezing and Buck flinches as he pulls back the sodden blanket thing to find blood weeping from a jagged wound in his side.

“Did someone try to put a hit on you, jeez,” Buck says, pawing uselessly at where his hair has plastered itself to his forehead in the downpour and ensuing water rescue, water dripping and stinging into his eyes. “M-maybe like a mob hit? A Canadian mob hit? Does Canada have mobs?” The man stays oppressively silent and Buck kicks himself back into action. “Right, right, sorry about this,” he murmurs, fingers numb, gripping the man’s arm and hauling him over his shoulder in a fireman’s carrying. He needs to get them both out of this storm and back to the lighthouse yesterday.

i just saw the previous ask you answered and wanted to say your work is also what got me into silmblr!! I dabbled in fanart stuff for a while between reading the silm and landing on tumblr, but you were the first silm artist I encountered! I also "followed" you for a while before I actually made an account (aka I saved your url on a sticky note to check every so often lol) and you've definitely been a huge influence in my art and headcanons :D

Oh my gosh XD Arthur would be so upset and try to like knock John over in all the chaos haha. I'm glad you like my silly AU! Drawing the storyboards have been a lot of fun, and I'm embracing my cringe with these, but also practically have been using them to just practice drawing animals. That and being able to draw in my personal style that can go a bit more detailed has been fun! Have a wolf John and deer Arthur sketch!
