He couldn't do anything. They'd put bracelets with weird pictures on him and now he couldn't do anything. Sal was missing, maybe hurting, and Lucy was locked in this room and he couldn't get out and he couldn't do anything. He let out yet another frustrated growl as he once again, unsuccessfully, attempted to get one of the bracelets off. At this point, all he was doing was hurting his fingers. That didn't stop him from trying, though.

He had to find Sal. He had to get them out of there.

A commotion outside the door caused him to startle, eyes locking onto it, as if he would be able to see through the metal if he tried hard enough. As it got louder, came closer, his fear grew. What if it was them? What if they were coming to hurt him? What if they tried to make him do bad stuff? He scuttled backwards, back hitting a wall. There wasn't much in there to hide him. The best he could do was curl up in a corner, hide his face in his hands, and try really hard to disappear.

As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.
