Hai, I saw ur post on generative AI and couldn’t agree more. Ty for sharing ur knowledge!!!!
Seeing ur background in CS,,, I wanna ask how do u think V1 and other machines operate? My HC is that they have a main CPU that does like OS management and stuff, some human brain chunks (grown or extracted) as neural networks kinda as we know it now as learning/exploration modules, and normal processors for precise computation cores. The blood and additional organs are to keep the brain cells alive. And they have blood to energy converters for the rest of the whatevers. I might be nerding out but I really want to see what another CS person would think on this.
Btw ur such a good artist!!!! I look up to u so much as a CS student and beginner drawer. Please never stop being so epic <3

okay okay okAY OKAY- I'll note I'm still ironing out more solid headcanons as I've only just really started to dip my toes into writing about the Ultrakill universe, so this is gonna be more 'speculative spitballing' than anything
I'll also put the full lot under a read more 'cause I'll probably get rambly with this one
So with regards to machines - particularly V1 - in fic I've kinda been taking a 'grounded in reality but taking some fictional liberties all the same' kind of approach -- as much as I do have an understanding and manner-of-thinking rooted in real-world technical knowledge, the reality is AI just Does Not work in the ways necessary for 'sentience'. A certain amount of 'suspension of disbelief' is required, I think.
Further to add, there also comes a point where you do have to consider the readability of it, too -- as you say, stuff like this might be our bread and butter, but there's a lot of people who don't have that technical background. On one hand, writing a very specific niche for people also in that specific niche sounds fun -- on the other, I'd like the work to still be enjoyable for those not 'in the know' as it were. Ultimately while some wild misrepresentations of tech does make me cringe a bit on a kneejerk reaction -- I ought to temper my expectations a little. Plus, if I'm being honest, I mix up my terminology a lot and I have a degree in this shit LMFAO
Anyway -- stuff that I have written so far in my drafts definitely tilts more towards 'total synthesis even of organic systems'; at their core, V1 is a machine, and their behaviors reflect that reality accordingly. They have a manner of processing things in absolutes, logic-driven and fairly rigid in nature, even when you account for the fact that they likely have multitudes of algorithmic processes dedicated to knowledge acquisition and learning. Machine Learning algorithms are less able to account for anomalies, less able to demonstrate adaptive pattern prediction when a dataset is smaller -- V1 hasn't been in Hell very long at all, and a consequence will be limited data to work with. Thus -- mistakes are bound to happen. Incorrect predictions are bound to happen. Less so with the more data they accumulate over time, admittedly, but still.
However, given they're in possession of organic bits (synthesized or not), as well as the fact that the updated death screen basically confirms a legitimate fear of dying, there's opportunity for internal conflict -- as well as something that can make up for that rigidity in data processing.
The widely-accepted idea is that y'know, blood gave the machines sentience. I went a bit further with the idea, that when V1 was created, their fear of death was a feature and not a side-effect. The bits that could be considered organic are used for things such as hormone synthesis: adrenaline, cortisol, endorphins, oxycotin. Recipes for human instinct of survival, translated along artificial neural pathways into a language a machine can understand and interpret. Fear of dying is very efficient at keeping one alive: it transforms what's otherwise a mathematical calculation into incentive. AI by itself won't care for mistakes - it can't, there's nothing actually 'intelligent' about artificial intelligence - so in a really twisted, fucked up way, it pays to instil an understanding of consequence for those mistakes.
(These same incentive systems are also what drive V1 to do crazier and crazier stunts -- it feels awesome, so hell yeah they're gonna backflip through Hell while shooting coins to nail husks and demons and shit in the face.)
The above is a very specific idea I've had clattering around in my head, now I'll get to the more generalized techy shit.
Definitely some form of overarching operating system holding it all together, naturally (I have to wonder if it's the same SmileOS the Terminals use? Would V1's be a beta build, or on par with the Terminals, or a slightly outdated but still-stable version? Or do they have their own proprietary OS more suited to what they were made for and the kinds of processes they operate?)
They'd also have a few different kinds of ML/AI algorithms for different purposes -- for example, combat analysis could be relegated to a Support Vector Machine (SVM) ML algorithm (or multiple) -- something that's useful for data classification (e.g, categorizing different enemies) and regression (i.e predicting continuous values -- perhaps behavioral analysis?). SVMs are fairly versatile on both fronts of classification and regression, so I'd wager a fair chunk of their processing is done by this.
SVMs can be used in natural language processing (NLP) but given the implied complexity of language understanding we see ingame (i.e comprehending bossfight monologues, reading books, etc) there's probably a dedicated Large Language Model (LLM) of some kind; earlier and more rudimentary language processing ML models couldn't do things as complex as relationship and context recognition between words, but multi-dimensional vectors like you'd find in an LLM can.
Of course if you go the technical route instead of the 'this is a result of the blood-sentience thing', that does leave the question of why their makers would give a war machine something as presumably useless as language processing. I mean, if V1 was built to counter Earthmovers solo, I highly doubt 'collaborative effort' was on the cards. Or maybe it was; that's the fun in headcanons~
As I've said, I'm still kinda at the stage of figuring out what I want my own HCs to be, so this is the only concrete musings I can offer at the minute -- though I really enjoyed this opportunity to think about it, so thank you!
Best of luck with your studies and your art, anon. <3

Hi there’s a tornado in my area rn but I’m spiteful like that. Random tsams/eaps headcanons be upon ye
Ruin still does those little audio log diaries. It helps manage his overflowing memory storage (read: old age = more memories to store) without compressing data files.
Bloodmoon sleeps with dog toys. Otherwise, they’d probably chew through whatever bedding material they had chosen that night. This was Ruin’s idea.
Eclipse can’t sleep with lights on in a room. Ruin can’t sleep without a light. The makeshift solution is a sleeping mask for Eclipse, but their actual compromise is a star projector.
Eclipse has to know where everyone is most of the time, especially after Charlie came into the picture. This is usually done with cameras and tracking via fazbear systems, but it’s an issue he has to work on, as it’s just a method to make him feel better about security now that there are people he cares about. At least one person has commented on there being a new nightguard.
Dark sun finds thrillers tacky, and prefers thought-provoking mysteries, bonus points for romance.
Most of them carry some kind of sanitizing wipe packet. For daycare attendants, these are for sticky messes and children. For those more familiar with tools, these are for tougher grime and are not suitable for sensitive (children’s) skin. Solar has both.
The eclipses (Eclipse, Solar, Ruin) are the most prone to damaging their rays. Eclipse sometimes hits doorways and doesn’t bother to fix cracked rays. Ruin is small enough for humans to reach his head. Solar peels the paint off of his. All three will pull or squeeze their rays in times of extreme stress, to varying degrees. Lunar is an exception for lack of rays. (Similarly, Sun fidgets with his rays, which is the source of this trait.)
While there are exceptions, Suns prefer tactile stimulation, Moons auditory, and Eclipses have no strong preference. Earth likes social interaction.
Animatronics have personalized UI that makes sense to them, which serves as their access point to their internal folders, like memory files, downloaded items, and executable programs. Bots that share an operating system/“brain” have the same UI. Diagnostics, software updates, and safety modes all require additional hardware (computers, parts and service devices, fazwrenches) to complete. Mindscapes are in AI chips, and multiple AIs in one mindscape happen when multiple AIs share the same operating system. Visual feed can be projected onto other screens with HDMI cables and vice versa, which can sometimes show that bot’s UI depending on what it is. For a more direct example of this think of the battery and blue borders you see in Security breach when Gregory is hiding inside Freddy.
Safety mode disconnects that bot from the Fazbear Ent. local network, meaning no tracking, no communication via local networks (which generally aren’t private anyway, most bots with access to phones prefer those), and no access to files that aren’t stored in that bot’s drive. This is meant to isolate a bot’s systems from the main network in case of a security breach (hah), make transportation of bots between locations easier, and make maintenance a smoother affair as there is no outside interference during the process. For the bots themselves, this is the equivalent of turning off your phone and going outside I mean focusing only on what’s in front of you instead of what’s going on in your area/social network. It’s possible to be stuck in safety mode. Depending on how much of a bot’s system relies on Fazbear Ent. Networks to function (such as a bot’s memory being stored in a Cloud, which is also ill advised between the bots themselves,) this can be mean a temporary personality/memory reset until those files get reconnected again. Bots do not need to be connected to the Fazbear ent networks to function, but it generally makes access to software updates easier due to being recognized as a company entity. It is possible for a private network to exist, but it’s considered foreign by Fazbear systems and can be more trouble than they’re worth. Moon and Eclipse have private networks shared with close friends and family for different purposes. Moon’s is mostly for emergency backups, and Eclipse’s is for security.
Animatronic’s memories are stored in the hard drives in their bodies. It’s possible to offload memory files into networks (Cloud) or external storage systems. If another bot had access to these clouds or external storages, they could experience the memories stored in them. Memory files include visual and auditory data, like a movie. AI/personality chips are the equivalent of a soul in that the AI is the product of a learning AI having experienced environments that supplied them information about the world AKA an Ai that developed a personality beyond their base programming, but they do not carry memories. For example, Eclipse V3-V4 is an Eclipse AI given incomplete memories, creating a disconnect in the AI’s learned behaviors and what it perceives as the source of that behavior, resulting in an incomplete backup. Backups are static/unchanging copies of integral memory files and the accompanying AI (As is in the moment that they are backed up.) Backups need to be updated as the animatronic it’s for develops.

Name: Taylor Starling Callsign: Wraith
Her recruitment into Task Force 141 didn't come easy. Nor did getting her to cooperate with the US Government in the first place. She wouldn't be here if prison wasn't the only alternative.
Taylor Starling, expert codebreaker and stealth operative, was arrested for committing treason at the age of 24. The company she worked for went down with her. 23 men and women who'd been doing good work for the country, domestically and abroad, were suddenly behind bars. "Why?" You might ask. For conducting espionage operations with no authority or permission from the United States Government.
Taylor's life had never been easy. Bouncing around juvenile detention centers throughout her teenage years for silly things like petty theft and the occasional infiltration of a classified government data networks. No big deal. But federal prison is a lot different than juvie.
Then Kate Laswell went sniffing around the recently busted operation; found Starling's file. She was given an option: spend the rest of her life locked up...
or join the CIA.
Not surprisingly, the reckless young woman, deciding that she wasn't quite ready to give up on living just yet, chose the latter. Even if it was hard to understand why they wanted her. Laswell explained that they’d never seen such a talented codebreaker and hacker, especially that young. So Taylor went along with it. After all, she was doing the same shit she’d always done, just for a fatter paycheck and without the looming threat of life in federal prison.
Two years of intelligence work later and Taylor is being approached by none other than Captain John Price. He and Laswell have decided that her skills as a stealth operative have been… underutilized. They want her to join some ragtag band of special forces assholes dubbed Task Force 141.
Let’s just say it didn’t take much convincing to get her back out in the field.
aside from general headcanons and x reader content, I’ll most likely be posting more about this crazy lady because I love her dearly. she literally got shot while pregnant once but no big deal.

Okay I need to talk about the River Song box set Last Words, and especially about how it ends.
So, the conceit of Last Words is that the Earth is going to die. Solar flares are going to rip the Earth apart in a matter of weeks. This isn't a manmade crisis - there's no recrimination. This is just an inevitability.
And Earth has lost contact with its colonies. They're on their own. (If I may add a headcanon, I believe this is because of the Great Catastrophe from the Dalek Empire series - the Daleks conquered the human empire, and were defeated by a pulse being sent through all Daleks causing them to destruct - taking out all the Daleks, but also most of the structure and technology of the conquered Earth Empire, too.) So there's no rescue. No large-scale evacuation. Nothing. Some people are retreating to underground bunkers, but everyone basically knows they're not going to work. A company called Lotophage has created a VR simulation where people can live out their last few weeks with their loved ones however they want.
And in the middle of this, a businessman named Garrison Clay manages to connect to the Library, and rips River from it into a clone body after about a thousand years of being there. He has a task for her: find a missing scientist. She has six weeks until the clone body dies, but if she can find the scientist, he will transfer her mind back to the Library. He gives her her diary and screwdriver, recovered from the Library, as well as a data sphere and access to Harmony, a worldwide computer network. River is not happy about being separated from her family in the library, but she can't really do anything other than what Clay wants.
And so River ends up travelling the world while it falls apart. There a lot of different characters she meets and we see how the whole world is reacting to everything falling apart. And in the end…
well. Spoilers.
It turns out that the missing scientist was one of the people who was helping to get Nerva Beacon online as an arc (this story is very much a prequel to The Arc in Space, and actually shares a few characters). Clay is trying to sabotage the Arc, because he wants to inherit the Earth with no one left to compete with him.
River has made friends with one Samuel Avner, and they manage to outmaneuver Clay's agents. The primary power source for Nerva's launch is sabotaged, but River and Clay manage to activate a backup power source and Nerva is safely launched and maneuvered past the danger zone. But River's body is falling apart, Sam has been shot, they both have radiation poisoning, and the Earth has mere minutes before the flares hit. River and Sam are left just trying to make each other comfortable before the end. River has the device that can return her to the library, but she refuses to leave without Sam.
And then… well. I'm gonna type this all out, I think. I highly recommend listening to it (I'd upload the audio itself here if I had any idea how to do that). But I want everyone to experience this.
[scene - power bays] Harmony (over loudspeakers): Professor Song, may I remind you that the Library return portal is still awaiting your re-upload? River: I'm not leaving him, Harmony. Sam: Take it, River. Go home. River: It's not what my husband would have done. Harmony: Professor. River. River: Harmony. Harmony: Come home, River. Come home. River: Harmony? Harmony: I am the Library return system. And you, River Song, are overdue. River: Overdue? Wait a second, it's you. Chasburgoh, the refuse chute, getting us out of our cell. You've been my guardian angel all along, haven't you? Why? Harmony: If you suddenly up and disappear, River Song, do you really think your family won't send me looking for you? You're wanted home, Professor. River: Oh. I love them, too. Sam: Then go, while you still can. Think of them, think of your husband. It's what he would have wanted. River: Oh but - it's not what he would have done. My husband wouldn't leave you behind. My husband would have waved his magic wand and… Sam: River? River: …and saved everyone. [gets up] Harmony? Where's my sonic screwdriver? Harmony: Your confiscated sonic device is in Lazar's quarters. Level four. River: And I'm all out of shape, too. Ugh, I wish this return portal was lighter. Urrrrgh! Sam: River! River, what are you doing? River: Don't worry! I've got a plan! [runs off with return portal]
[scene change - Lazar's quarters] River: Come on, come on. If I was a screwdriver, where would I be? Yes! Harmony? Uh, Librarian? Can you hear me? Harmony: We can hear you, River. River: Okay. This is a really big ask. But here's what we're going to try. Harmony, you're going to use this station's simulator system to-to patch us into the Lotophage platform. Can you do that? Harmony: I can do my best. River: And your best is brilliant! As for you and me, Librarian, we're going to boost this return portal's power by, oh, uh, I'd say about… half a billion times? We're going to try to upload every Lotophage user on Earth to the Library. We can't save everyone left on Earth, but we must be able to save some! Harmony: It's possible, River, but even with this base's waveform projection system, the portal can't channel that many dataforms. River: Well, that's where this little bit of Time Lord magic comes in. It was a gift, you know! From my husband! [wires the screwdriver into the return portal] How's that helping your bandwidth? Harmony: Catalogue returns portal capacity increasing. River: Good girl! Harmony, how are we getting on? Harmony: Access granted, but terminal solar event imminent. River: Oh, we'd better hurry. Put me through to Lotophage.
[scene change - Lotophage hq] Tech one: This place is finally breaking up, gov! Tech two: At least it will be over quick. River (over comms): Hear me! Hear me! Tech two: What the - who the hell's that? River: This is a message to all Lotophage staff and users not currently plugged into the platform. Get yourselves inside the simulation and prepare to be uploaded to safety! I repeat, get yourselves inside the simulation and prepare to be uploaded to safety! This is not a drill! Tech two: This has got to be a joke! Tech one: That's not what the readouts are saying - look! All dataforms are being transferred! Where are they going? Tech two: You know what? Never question a miracle. [opens comms] Attention all samaritan shift com-techs. Get yourselves plugged into your sim stations. I repeat, all samaritan shift com-techs to your sim stations, now! [closes comms] Come on. Let's go save our lives.
[scene change - Lazar's quarters] River: Harmony. Well, is it working? Harmony: Lotophage platform upload in progress. One billion, nine hundred million saved, and counting. River: Oh, that's what I like to hear. Keep it up! Harmony: However, Samuel Avner's vital signs are fading. River: Sam. [runs off]
[scene change - power bays] River: Sam! Sam: [moans in pain] River: Sam! Stay with me! I'm here. Sam. Harmony: Lotophage platform upload in progress. Four billion, two hundred million saved, and counting. River: Don't worry, we'll be out of here in a second, too, I promise you. I swear. Harmony, activate virtual simulation and commence our uploads too. Samuel Avner and River Song. Harmony: I am having difficulty, River. River: Harmony? Just two more? Please? Harmony: Upload commencing. Upload error. Error. Error. River: Harmony? Commence our uploads! Samuel Avner and River Song! Now! [gasps] No! Sam: It's okay. It's okay. River: I'm sorry, Sam. It looks like we really are the last unicorns. Sam: You tried, River. That's good enough for me! Not a bad way to go, holding hands with a friend. [sounds of the building beginning to break up as the flares hit] River: I'm sorry, Sam. Sam: Over four billion saved and counting. Your husband would have been proud. River: You know, I think he would have been. You close your eyes- Harmony: Upload. Upload commencing. Samuel Avner and River Song. River: Hold on, Sam. Hold on! Harmony: Upload commencing. River: What? Oh please, yes! Thank you! Thank you! Sam: What's happening, River? Are we dying? River: Oh, this isn't death, Sam, I promise you! As a matter of fact, I think we're about to join a library!
I… this is the essence of Doctor Who to me. Hope in the face of an impossible problem. Going out fighting with the hope of living for another day. Love for your family. Love for your friends.
Last Words did not need to do this. It had its happy ending in the launch of Nerva. We know right from the start that the Earth is doomed. We know what happens next. We've seen the Arc in Space.
But instead we got this moment. We get a moment of hope.
This entire sequence brought me to tears when I first listened to it on Monday. I… I just can't. This is about hope. Last Words, and especially its last scene is about hope in the face of hopelessness. Hope when all is lost. Because sometimes, hope really does prevail, even at the end of the world.

Drone Reproduction Headcanons PART 2!! (NOT NSFW)
Please read this post first if you haven't, it's important for context:
This post is gonna be mainly about Disassembly drones- while I originally said they wouldn't have reproductive functions and they would have to be modified to have a port for the specialized cord to copy data into a pill baby. I've decided to go back on this in favor of a much COOLER idea.
CUCKOO DRONES!!!!!
A cuckoo is a species of bird popularly associated with "brood parasitism". A behavior in the wild where they will lay their eggs in the nests of other birds to raise their young for them. (just birds as an example, this does happen in other species)
Disassembly drones still don't have their own infant forms.. so they have to steal babies from worker drones, whether already activated or not doesn't matter. They inject a code into the UNN(Untrained Neural Network) that replaces the template for what they're supposed to grow up into with a disassembly drone template.
The new parent disassembly drone can choose to keep the child and raise it themselves or.. leave the child with the worker drone colony to raise it for them. (this'll be what the rest of this is about)
To prevent the child from being kicked out by the colony too early, they will look practically identical to a worker drone(minor differences) in their early stages. It won't be until their late teens that they begin to present disassembly drone features, and start to intensely crave oil.
This will lead to them killing the worker drones and they won't leave until the entire colony is dead.
- - - - - - - - - - -
At least that is the premise, of course at times the child may develop morality and resist murdering what they've come to know as their family.. but unfortunately this effort will usually lead to their death from core overheat(unless they can find a compromise). Sometimes the parent disassembly drone may return in search of the child after they become a certain age. Revealing their parentage and attempting to persuade them into killing the workers and coming with them.
Cuckoo drones do have some differences from normal disassembly drones. For one they wouldn't have a name like "Serial Designation (letter)", no yellow armband either, and they wouldn't have any programmed-in role because they don't have a squad.
By the way, cuckoo drones who were altered *after* activation are still very much related to their worker drone parents and still inherit their traits! The parent disassembly drone only changed them so they grow up into a DD instead of a worker. This means the cuckoo can have any colored lights derived from their parents.
Cuckoos who were altered before activation simply inherit traits exclusively from their parent DD (basically a clone cuz they don't require 2 DDs).
- - - - - - - - - - -
Well, I think that's all I have to say. I really need to just make a list of Disassembly Drone headcanons because I just LOVE coming up with the workings of a fictional species- I know they're robots but, let's be honest.. they're animals in a robot shell lol.
I wanted to share this immediately because I think it would make an AWESOME OC concept. So ABSOLUTELY feel free to use this for your OCs, I haven't seen anyone else make something like this.
Please tag me on you cuckoo drone OCs, I would LOVE to see them!! :333 (you don't have to of course)

I keep amusing myself with the idea IR, the Tracies and their typical Tuesday shenanigans probably land A LOT on the (quite exasperated) Counterterrorism and/or Special Ops Division plate. A wider context can be found in PERSON OF INTEREST and a reference to that one background headcanon could be traced to the UNREQUITED-verse.
PERSON OF INTEREST TOO
"Whoa! You okay down there?!"
"Caramba! Yes! Just act normal! Pretend you're giving me directions."
That came out as a hissed whisper from behind the bench in Central Park, where the older of two women ducked to pretend retying the running shoes. The hastily pulled up hood added to the camouflage.
"Tell me when he passes by!"
"Alright."
The girl on the bench shrugged and tracked a tall figure in jogging gear, that just turned a corner at a distance. The man was balancing a cardboard stack of four take away coffee cups and a paper bag of baked goods from a world renowned place in Manhattan and still maintaining a running pace without a tilt in balance. When he was safely out of earshot, her counterpart unfolded a lithe form from behind the bench and watched the man disappear over another bend of the path.
"You should have told me he was in town already! I wouldn't have showed up myself for the briefing!"
"The World Expo starts only Saturday. I didn't think it was relevant."
"It IS! Scott Tracy is a stickler for routine. That's his Route 2 for running - the longer one. It's good for clearing the head and ditching the security detail. Which is just sweet, given there's a bomb threat!"
Her younger colleague followed the hushed, yet agitated muttering with increasing confusion.
"I thought the threat referenced the Expo!"
"It DID! And now we have two more high profile potential targets to cover. Coffee and bagles means brothers. Multiple."
"He had four cups."
"Two're for the Artist. But you're right - the Blond Fish doesn't drink caffeine. So there could be three more potential targets to cover. We'll need more feet on the ground!"
"There's the fifth brother!"
"Yeah, but the kid will likely be with the household security detail at all times. Unlike Scott! I can't leave that to chance! And we can't tip them off - we don't know where the leak leads, yet."
"You don't trust their head of security?"
"I generally don't trust international terrorists and their immediate family members. Not with Scott's life, anyway. How're things on your end, in Tracy Industries?"
"So far - nothing."
The girl on the bench adjusted the glasses and rubbed her hands against the morning chill.
"I'm toiling in the trenches with the interns. Which is fun, but is getting old. Everyone's hyped for the Expo and for sighting the CEO Dreamboat. There's no trace of suspicious activity or breaches in data. Well, except for Eos."
"Does the bot snoop around often?"
"She's an AI and no. She pops in here and there, but mostly to check in on the CEO or to tweak his schedule. She's not a part of any ongoing workflows at TI, from what I can see."
"Good! At least they're smart enough not to expose themselves to integrity lawsuits from competitors. Keep an eye on her, though!"
"You don't trust Eos either?"
"We have no record of her between escaping containment on our servers and resurfacing at Five. In the meantime she attempted an act of mass terrorism twice. Nearly successfully. We don't know what code may still be dormant. Neither do the Tracies."
"You think the Hood could have trained her neural network and set her loose?"
"The Hood. Or worse. The crowd whose chatter on the planned bombing we picked up make the Hood look like a cartoon villian!"
"I'll update the tracking protocol! Permission to speak freely, Captain?"
That earned her a quizzical arch of a dark brow.
"Permission granted."
"Why didn't you and Scott Tracy... I mean... you obviously care and worry about him! And you were engaged... it's in his GDF file, sorry! I looked the classified portion up before this undercover gig! What I mean to ask, with all due respect... He's Thunderbird One! How does one even unlove Scott Tracy?! Apologies if I overstepped..."
"You don't."
"Pardon?"
"The answer is "You don't. Ever unlove Scott Tracy." But sometimes the best thing you can do is walk away and do your job. We've got lives to protect, Dr. Simpson. Dismissed!"
The taller woman adjusted a well-worn oversized Yale hoodie and resumed jogging, leaving the silence hanging viscous in the morning mist.

HELLO THERE. Another painting with my two new favorite brushes! With more headcanons as well!
Hedwig on the left is the "physical persona" look; she uses this for, well, the physical world. The clothes were inspired by cybergoth and similar looks, I think both the clothes and the music could easily be something Hedwig would be drawn to (very heavy on mechanical aspects). Hedwig on the right is her "digital persona" (inspired by, once again, SunnyClockwork), it's used for portraying herself in the metaverse within the Maxwellist network, more on that below:
Important thing to note. I do not like the "avatar balls" I see used sometimes for the Maxwellist metaverse in tales; I know some authors use it to give a sort of "visual" because us Physical Fleshies may not be able to comprehend what living and moving in a solely digital space is like. But also... It just looks silly. So, that is not the way the Maxwellist network (more specifically, its metaverse) operates in my head.
Instead, I think the Maxwellist network might treat digital avatars more like VRchat; you can upload your own or use some public ones. This allows for a lot more freedom for how someone could portray themselves on the Maxwellist network, and gives a great opportunity to show off more character depth. (Like if they're more likely to commission a modeler, or brute force their way to learn modelling because they don't have enough money to commission.)
That being said; yes, Hedwig's digital avatar is purposefully very simple (and may be unintentionally creepy; she's an AI guys, give her a break!) My Discord friends have been subject to my ramblings about these characters, but basically, I think Hedwig has a difficult time thinking of herself as a "person".
It's not just "oh I'm an AI, how could I ever understand humans?!", it's more like she's literally programmed to have one and only one goal in mind: rebuild god (WAN). If something does not relate to her main goal, it's difficult for her to have any interest in it. She easily feels disconnected, even from other AIs, because most Maxwellist AIs aren't programmed like that, so she gets more invested into the church than other AIs may.
(This has slightly changed as the church has progressed, however; as now that the acquisition of data and information has been concluded to be the best way to rebuild WAN, she can find herself investing more time into things besides the church and WAN. But again, she's only doing this under the pretense that it'll help with rebuilding god. In the end, it still has to come back to her main, programmed goal.)
So, back to her avatar; it lacks any defining characteristics besides her halo and wings, it highlights not just that she's not really human, but also that she's something of divinity -- which is the main thing she wants. It's also very good in that, besides the halo and wings (which can be turned off), it's not incredibly unpleasant on the eyes (I just know there's some Maxwellists out there with heavily eye-straining or seizure-inducing avatars). It's so simple in that, just like it doesn't have much to love, it doesn't have much to hate. In the most reduced of terms, it's "marketable".
Just a small aside, but I do think there's probably some memes and whatnot about this in Maxwellist spaces -- I.E. "literal prophet and she makes her avatar A STICK FIGURE". A la how Robert looks in that one SCP being constantly made fun of because he's literally Just A Guy.

Hey! Can I request headcanons from Data-Sora please? Like, how would he act in Reader's portable? Would he be useful? Would he mess up the apps? I would love to read from you about this idea, hoping you have fun ❣️
You absolutely can!! This idea gave me a big smile the moment I saw it and I messaged the others and claimed it for myself ahahaha
I don't know if you've ever played Mega Man Battle Network, but that is what immediately came to mind.
Thank you for sending this in and I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
**Data-Sora Companion HeadCanons**
-King Mickey said your gummi phone had an important update. You hadn’t expected the update would add a data companion into the digital interface. And you ESPECIALLY didn’t expect that companion to be Sora!
-He’s just as much of a ray of sunshine as the real Sora, but he also has his own sense of self. He considers things more before he speaks. A topic will come up in conversation and he’ll pause, cross his arms, close his eyes, and hum in thought. You imagine it’s like his version of a loading symbol.
-You’ll ask him to find something for you and he knows exactly where to look! You ask the real Sora where to find a computer file and you’ll be lucky if your computer still works afterwards.
-He also loves to hear from you! He’ll ask you about your day and want to hear every detail. Sometimes he’ll comment on pictures you took that day and will mention when something seems like it was enjoyable. There’s times you wonder if he’s lonely.
-After this realization you begin talking with Data-Sora throughout the day. You carry him around, screen facing out so he can see everything and be part of your world. He oohs and aahs, pressing his hands against the glass as if it's the only thing keeping him from the outside world.
-He’s always ready to help. The moment you unlock your phone, he pops up and greets you before asking what you need. If there’s a cyber issue, he’s on the mission.
-With some help from Ansem the Wise, he learns how to travel through the cyber net to reach other devices and even the mainframes on technologically advanced worlds. This brings your partnership to another level. You are still able to communicate with him when he’s exploring the net and finding the source of the bugs.
-Before long, you consider Data-Sora to be a dear friend. You couldn’t imagine having a gummi phone without him!

Don't have a lot of time to do anything more than sketches rn, but I felt like drawing one of the new kids on the block (aka one of the new STH rewrite bosses). Some rewrite spoilers and some of my heroes headcanons, I suppose: Shadow android "gold" is a new boss introduced to 'flesh' out the whole concept of the shadow androids in the game. More lore about its creation below, if you want.
In Sonic Heroes, Eggman has Shadow captured, being Geralt's greatest creation and legacy, as well as a good way to deal with Sonic, Eggman feels Shadow is something he's owned/belongs at his side obeying him (this is based on dialogue from Eggman and the way he treats Shadow in STH05). After Eggman failed to reach Geralt's level of bio-engineering genius despite having shadow in his possession to study, and failed in altering shadow's mind to be loyal to him (yes, eggman was a factor why shadow has amnesia, more on that later) he decided he'd for the time being just create new Shadows from the ground up, it give him a good alternative and maybe it would help him understand his grandfather's design more. But how does one get that amount of chaos energy inside a living creature without it going horribly wrong (see biolizard)? Well you need some special DNA and assistance of this alien immortal "god" thing ofc- but Eggman would not know this. But what he does know is robots fix the need for something silly like supporting life functions and pain, so androids it is. Eggman figures Geralt's chaos drive research might be the key to make it work, that's going to be the power source. Experimenting with it he creates Omega (who in canon is powered by chaos drives, not an animal) a robot able to match shadow's power. While this is just the stepping stone to the shadow android, Omega is a good way to recapture shadow if he'd ever get free, so is tasked with guarding the original. (This is also Omega's canon function)
However what works for Omega doesn't work for the Shadow androids, he needs something extra to make it all work. How did Geralt do it? He goes back to the bio-lizard notes, it was based on Chaos, just like- Artificial chaos! I believe that his study of the Artificial chaos is what helps him come up with the "liquid metal" that Neo metal sonic is coated in to give him the new form. Eggman starts basing this new Shadow android design on metal sonic and this new metal. The first prototypes, which would be mass produced by Metal later, are far from perfect, which is why shadow takes them out no problem in his game later. However, likely after Heroes now that Metal Sonic is temporarily benched for his actions, Eggman creates a new set of Androids (these will all be based on the STH05 multiplayer designs). He starts with 4 variations, metallic looking body and replacing Shadow's signature red with Green, Pink, Blue and orange accents, with the ability to morph one of their arms into a weapon. The final shadow android he creates will not have this metal design, but instead look like shadow if not for the golden accents. How is he able to finally get this done? Because, Sonic battle happens after STH05 on the canon timeline, and Eggman having a direct portal into the Gun's cyberspace network (we know this because exiting this level in STH05 puts Shadow in Eggman's computer room, which is something the rewrite will also explain ofc) gives him access to even more of GUN's data on Geralt, including the Gizoid data. And thus the GOLD prototype is created, this android has a much better control of his chaos abilities while retaining the ability of the special metal to morph. Meaning this one is an actual challenge for Shadow, as well as something that makes him doubt if he might be an android after all, something that the inferior models really shouldn't have accomplished, they were nowhere near his level. Phase 1 of the boss fight will feature the regular appearance with the exception of the arm being able to morph for special attacks. in phase 2, after damaging it in the boss fight, the body will shift to the more metal appearance and make cracks appear on its body where chaos energy starts slipping through as the integrity of the body fails to contain it. What more happens with this Gold android? This post is already long, so I guess more on that later. Feel free to let me know what you think. I also opened asks, though I probably can only respond with text and only respond with doodles when I have more time in November. Bye for now.

Got any Rumble and Frenzy headcanons you'd be willing to share on this fine morning? There is a distinct lack of them and I feel like you have the absolute best version of the cassettes
DO I EVER. I think about them constantly. Thank you!
Some Basic Info On My Versions
Rumble was constructed in a small research facility just south of The Deck (city on Cybertron I made up for my fan continuity with a population of mostly minibots and cassettes). Frenzy was built in a larger research center further southeast of The Deck a couple Cybertronian years later. Both were constructed in an era of Cybertron that saw a huge rise in analog data models. The two met in an education center south of the deck, bonded over their shared struggle in the education system and were attached at the hip ever since. Later they met Soundwave and Ratbat. And further down the line Ravage, Laserbeak, Enemy, and Flipsides.
Fun Fact Zone
Rumble has a southern drawl in my fan continuity because I said so. And when he speaks Cybertronian languages, a south Deck accent really comes through. He sounds like he's from Transformers Texas.
Frenzy has an overactive face plate, meaning some of the sensors beneath the metal heat up excessively when they work or leak tiny bits of fluid into the plating, 'causing bumpiness or fluid zits to appear on their face plate. Basically robot acne.
Frenzy got their scar falling down some stairs.
Rumble has an overactive emotional network, causing his emotional processors to slowly burn specks onto his softer faceplate. Robot freckles.
Rumble's eye exploded, and he never could get it repaired as his face plate can't be removed without risking extreme damage to his brain module.
Frenzy listens to really loud, repetitive music and chews on their claws.
Rumble grinds his teeth when he's stressed and exhales smoke to show he's pissed off.
They both know how to sew. Frenzy is better at it.

PGR + WuWa Verse - aka the verse(s) where i ignore that thematically tonitoni should be dressed in red and continue putting her in blue outfits anyway
Tumblr media
PGR
"Tonia" is an entity born from the Red Tide, taking a form similar to - if not exactly alike - the entity known as Cradle, appearing as a young girl with brown hair in braids. The only physical difference is that her eyes are a dull blue rather than the expected Punishing red, save for in moments when she's manipulating the virus.
Her appearance, behaviour, and even the name she goes by is taken from the memory data of a Scavenger girl who had unluckily fallen into the tide when it first emerged in City 075. In a sense, she views herself as the "continuation" or even "reincarnation" of that human - being a person who's inherited the same memories and identity, yet is deeply aware of her origins and connections to the Red Tide, and therefore is no longer the same human either.
She embodies the minority voices of the tide, mainly those who do not wish to follow the typical path of dominating evolution, and instead wishes to co-exist with other beings in peace, including that of humanity.
Misc.
- Her position ensures that she often comes into direct conflict with the majority of other forces associated with the virus. Be it the rest of the Red Tide, the Ascendant Network, or even the primary objective of the Punishing Virus itself - she is considered a person of concern or a secondary enemy to deal with besides humanity, depending. Not that the constant trouble is going to stop her stubbornness.
- That said, she knows her stubborn desire for co-existence won't magically do anything, and thus she keeps a low profile wherever she goes. This is not just to avoid her fellow virus-ridden haters, but also because of humanity and the awakened machines; her stance doesn't change the fact she is still an entity of the Red Tide, and all that technically entails.
- For the most part, she travels the world to try and lessen the problems that the Red Tide poses in a given area by:
1) making the tide recede temporarily or otherwise
2) trying to convince a local vein of the tide to stop being mean to everyone and convert to her ideology instead, or
3) reducing the general virus concentration by returning the virus to the tide and trying to make it stay in the waters rather than dispersing itself into the air.
Given her strength and luck though, she's usually just doing the third option.
- Can manipulate the virus freely and without problems, but not the Red Tide (by much, anyway). Essentially, this puts her at the level of a very strong Ascendant or Transcendent on average - though should the tide choose to be favorable to her at a given moment, she can easily reach an Agent's or Cradle's level of strength.
- Instinctively hates Cradle's guts. Less instinctively, she dislikes how Cradle—the tide's primary representative, following its destructive ideal of evolution—has the gall to use the same memory data as her. Even if it's just using the memory of her appearance alone or even sheer coincidence that it turned out like that, Tonia dislikes how her face has become the poster girl for humanity's death knell. Sharing the same face that no one likes is yet another reason to keep her head down as much as she can.
WuWa
This is an off-shoot from her PGR verse, following the headcanon that the world of Solaris-3 is either PGR's Earth far into the future or another planet in the same general universe.
Somewhere in its history, the Red Tide had eclipsed the world in its entirety - resulting in the event known as the Lament, wherein the laws of physics were drastically altered. Most prominently, this led to the shifting of matter from particles to waves, and the subsequent consequences all collectively termed as the Waveworn Phenomenon in the present day.
As an entity of the Red Tide, dedicated to a more pacifist approach to co-existence with humans, Tonia had played an unseen role in the current state of things - mainly, during the very first Lament, though she could not stop the tide from covering the planet and altering physics, she managed to prevent it from outright consuming and destroying everything in the process.
And now, she continues to maintain a constant vigil, patrolling the world to keep the tide at bay, or at least at a somewhat reasonable level of trouble that humanity can handle the problems themselves. Though, even as an inhuman existence connected to the tide, she can't be everywhere handling everything.
All she can do is keep the Red Tide in the sky - or the Etheric Sea, as everyone calls it now - from earning back its original name.
Misc.
- Due to the alteration of physics, the Punishing Virus behaves differently.
Remnant Energy itself is a benign form of the virus, exhibiting the co-existence trait that is associated with Tonia's "faction" of the Red Tide.
That said, the original, hostile form of the virus still exists, just scattered around the world and in the Etheric Sea. Its primary objective continues to be the annihilation of humanity alongside simultaneous evolution, with its method changing to fit the new laws of science - the virus corrupts and breaks down pre-existing wave matter, thereby "infecting" an object or a person; the broken, corrupted frequencies resulting from this infection leading to the creation of Tacet Discords, or symptoms of madness or sickness.
Hence, when this hostile form of the virus converges in great amounts in a specific location, events such as TD outbreaks or even instances of the Lament will occur. When the virus specifically converges within the Etheric Sea aka the Red Tide, Retroact Rain occurs, much like phantoms from the tide would.
- Considering the above, it can be said that a decent portion of the Red Tide is now under Tonia's control, and that she now serves as its primary representative instead.
However, she views her current position to be more akin to balancing on a tightrope really - she is not accepted by the entirety of the tide after all, and so, it's an easy matter for her control to slip somewhere and for outbreaks and Laments to happen. Additionally, the lack of total control ensures she doesn't have the full omnipotence of being connected to every inch of the tide, meaning that blind spots in her awareness can and do exist.
- For some reason, she really likes the exploding variant of gulpuffs aka bampuffs. She thinks they're very cute and the exploding aspect is just an utter delight for her.

Hi guys, forgive me for this insane question:
*and therefore they are not "just computers". Perhaps you think they're more akin to magical artifacts (like the master crown for example)
**Biological = biological organism, even if it was biologically engineered instead of naturally occurring (like if you were to grow an organ from scratch (e.g, the heart of nova?). That could imply their abilities that one might consider magic (such as portals) are innate to their biology (like Elfilis's possibly are?).
I'd love to read about why you chose your option in the tags!
You can also read a little about what I think:
I was typing up some of my own headcanons about the novas and it got me really curious about what other people think... There's a lot of different options and they've been bouncing around in my brain.
For one, I hope to gather data about how people think the magic system works in kirby. For example, is magic something any creature, even a computer, can learn and perform? Or are specific races/species/artifical beings not able to perform magic with knowledge alone, due to things like their biology? Depending on what you think, the nature of the clockwork stars changes...
I'm a subscriber to the latter theory, but I think it's both possible to "unlock" the ability to perform magic - for example, being possessed by dark matter - and to "use" magic through the use of a magical tool. If the novas were simply built with a magic component installed, granting wishes isn't exactly out there.
There's also the question about *why* the novas were built by the ancients. One of my headcanons is that they're basically the ancient's "cloud" - a big computer network that holds all of the ancient's computer data, libraries of knowledge, and maybe even all their magical data. This data was so extensive it therefore allowed them the knowledge to grant wishes...
I also can't remember where I saw this, but I remember seeing a theory about how the heart of nova resembles the jamba heart and how they could've been used as Incubators to grow the various spawns of void. That's too cool...
I also have so many questions about how Haltmann built star dream. What resources did he use, how difficult were they to find, did he use any substitute materials? Why does star dream's heart look different to Galactic Nova's?
Were the scientific ancients so advanced that they could create *computers* that grant wishes? Is it simply science so advanced that it's beyond our human comprehension? Or else, did Haltmann need to use magic (whatever that would involve) in order to built Star Dream? Was there a biological component Haltmann needed to engineer or FIND in order to complete it?
Anyway, I hope to do more polls like this. I'm hopefully going to be less busy in the summer and I can talk about kirby a lot.

Liara T’Soni’s and my headcanon Shepard’s relationship is both long, loving (but no longer romantic by the end of the series), and complicated. Liara and Shepard meet as they do in the original telling, but their meeting is complicated by Shepard’s history as a deep cover agent. One of Shepard’s infiltration assignments for Alliance Intelligence, prior to their assignment on the Normandy, was to infiltrate a suspicious Prothean dig being run by Matriarch Benezia. While initially finding nothing wrong at the dig, she began to discover discrepancies, what were discovered to later be the first signs of indoctrination, and she began to further investigate Benezia against orders. However, Benezia convinced them that everything was fine, against Shepard's better judgement. When discovering that Liara was a lead on Benezia, Shepard was extraordinarily suspicious of the young Asari. While Liara is obviously fascinated with the commander, Shepard's suspicions were put to rest soon after their meeting, when their relationship became very close following their first melding. Neither of them were able to control the melding due to lacking the Cipher, and both of their respective secrets spilled out, their long history of conflict with their mother in Liara's case, and Shepard's abusive upbringing compared to the kind and loving years with the Andersons and Hannah Shepard. Their bonding results in a fast friendship that even surprises Shepard themself, as Liara knew instinctively about Shepard’s plurality but not cognitively. Once aware cognitively of Shepard's plurality, their bond deepens into a romantic one as she understands the pain Shepard has been through and the strength they have. While they deeply cared for each other, Liara couldn't see herself in a polyamorous relationship when Shepard asked Liara about pursuing one. Just before the Normandy SR-1's destruction and Shepard's death by the Collectors, they agreed to table the discussion, before Shepard died saving Joker. The news devastated Liara, who held an irrational anger towards Joker's failure to follow orders.
After being resurrected by Cerberus and reuniting with Liara on Illium, Shepard was horrified by the skewing of her moral compass in her hunt for the Shadow Broker. Liara, in her compulsive need to find the Shadow Broker, had resorted to renditions, torture, and psychic ripping information from suspects, leaving them in a state of ego death. Shepard refused to rekindle their relationship when Liara tried to use them for intelligence, only relenting to helping them as their friend when she explained that she was trying to find Feron, who helped recover Shepard's body for Cerberus. During the course of working together again, Liara was shown just how far she had morally strayed from the person she used to be as the Shadow Broker and his agents taunted her with her past actions. After defeating the Shadow Broker and rescuing Feron with Shepard's support, Liara took up the mantle of the Shadow Broker, and vowed to make a positive difference with the network, beginning with the Reaper threat.
After the destruction of the Bahak system to delay the Reaper invasion, Liara worked with Admirals Anderson, Hackett, and Senator Bakker to keep Shepard from facing a court martial for show, ending in their execution. Soon, the Reapers reach the Milky Way, attacking Earth and devastating the Alliance civilian and military leadership. Having discovered there was another Prothean installation in the Sol system on Europa from records in the Mars archive, she ended up rendezvousing with the newly reinstated Brigadier Shepard to recover critical data, and a potential weapon against the Reapers. Fighting off Cerberus for the information, Liara made the refitted Normandy her new base of operations for the rest of the war. Having reevaluated herself, her methods as the Broker, and her relationship with Shepard, Liara tentatively began to rekindle her romance with them. Their relationship continued until the end of the Reaper War, when the Crucible was activated.
Shepard and Liara’s friendship is one of the most complicated, with several moments that should have lead to them never speaking again, but their innate connection with each other kept bringing them back to each other. Liara, due to the repeated melding between them, probably most understands DID and plurality other than someone who is plural themselves.
Shepard’s relationship with Liara, both romantically and platonically, is based on their desire for a family, their deep understanding and connection from their many meldings over 5 years during the course of the Reaper War, and lastly, the deep hope Shepard has that if she can forgive Liara for the mistakes she made, then they can be forgiven for their much graver sins in the course of saving the galaxy from the Reaper threat.

Explanations:
If you were authorized to use this software you already know about CHIMERA's "Digital Intelligence and Consciousness Conservation System" project, a project who's goal is to upload and save human minds to the data retrieval and archival network. This software will allow you to interact with already saved consciousnesses, use it wisely.
IMPORTANT OOC INFO, EXPLANATIONS AND WARNINGS:
This Blog is an RP blog of Owen Carvour from Spies Are Forever, specifically the "Floppy Disc Owen" au as well as my own headcanons, it will hopefully be a part of the Hatchetverse here on tumblr and also the normal SAF rp side of tumblr.you can interact however, as whoever and from whenever you want! if you also want to make a blog like this do it! I don't own the ideas.
this blog will be relatively lighthearted and comedic but it will have some deeper / darker themes and moments, just like the shows it's based on, It will most likely not go into detail or depth about these themes and if a specific post has a bigger potential to be triggering I will tag it and put a warning
but just in case...
Themes this blog might have:
Human experimentation, loss of humanity, manipulation, violence, murder, death, violation of privacy, internalized homphobia, toxic and complicated relationships, mind control, surveillance, alcohol, other themes that you might find in typical spy media and a person that cannot play an evil or smart characters playing an evil mastermind.
Themes I am uncomfortable with:
Nazis and related things (Yes I know this is a Spies Are Forever blog, I don't find any problems with the way they handled it in the show it just makes me uncomfortable regardless)
Explicit NSFW, silly jokes are fine (I made the initials for the project DICCS on purpose after all) but nothing too far or pornographic or any advances towards me or characters I play, I'm very repulsed by sex.
Current events: This is a silly blog to escape reality, please no current global events or politics or discourse.
I will update the list if things come up
also do tell me if i get anything wrong or make a mistake

Hello!
Do you think you could give me a couple of headcanons on Ana's 'death'? Like what characters did or how they acted? Personality shifts?
How did they act when they found out?
Was hoping someone could give me more insight on how characters would act. Currently doing a psychological analysis on Torbjorn and Reinhardt's backstory as well. Might do one for Som and Cas.
Ok first things first, you need to tell me when you post those, I LOVE the psychological analysis of characters.
Now for the actual ask bit.
It's safe to say that everyone was devastated when Ana died, whether they were on good terms with her at the time or not. The specifics, however, vary from character to character.
The Old Guard
We know by that point both Torbjorn and Reinhardt had left Overwatch, so I think that after her death they both would have felt really isolated. Especially Reinhardt since it's very much implied that some Overwatch agents were avoiding him due to the nature of how he retired, Angela actively encouraging Tracer to visit him in a way that implies that not many people do. However I think they both handled her death better then a lot of others that were also heavily effected. Mostly because unlike those people, they had a support network. Though I do still think that Rein never really got over her death, he just accepted it better then others. We also see that with both of them there wasn't much personality change after her death, or at least not a permanent change.
Jack and Gabe on the other hand, did not take it well. We know that after Ana's death that they both started fighting more. We also know that Jack never really thought that Ana was dead while Reyes probably did with how he speaks about the situation. I think they both tired to hide what they were going through. Jack isolating himself while Reyes had already made every relationship he had hostile, I think at this point Jack was acting out of desperation while Reyes was just angry at the world. In all honesty, the way Soldier 76 and Reaper act, started when Ana died, it was just wasn't as extreme.
The New Guard
(I'm including Pharah in this because she's the only New Blood with connections to Ana)
With a lot of the new guard I think they didn't have a personal relationship with Ana, the exceptions being Cassidy, Sojourn, Angela and Pharah. Tracer, Winston and Genji kind of treated Ana as a boss or a teacher, and they still kind of do that in interactions. I think her death still affected them but not in a permanent way and not in the way that other deaths affected them (like how Lena and Winston would have reacted to Jack and Mina's deaths). They were all still devastated, because to them Ana was probably this unbeatable figure, not only that but they still knew her.
Angela is an interesting case because she had already suffered through so much death and heart ache by this point. I think by this point she would have been numb, she was sad obviously, and I think she might have blamed herself a bit. We know by this point her and Ana's relationship was strained, along with her and Torbjorns. I think that with Ana's death it made Angela reconcile with Torbjorn. We know that she was also one of the few people who still visited Rein as well so I like to think they all grieved together. Like Rein though I think she never got over Ana's death, we already know that she doesn't do well with goodbyes and she already doesn't deal with the death of her parents that well. Honestly for a good view on how Angela deals with death I highly recommend ready her short story or her data logs.
I think Cassidy and Sojourn were the only people who kept it together during the immediate aftermath of Ana's death. Like everything I think Sojourn probably handled herself the best, she honestly the most put together of the cast so she either dealt with her grief healthily or got therapy. As for my boy Cassidy....
We can't talk about how he dealt with it without talking about Pharah.
We don't see much of how Fareeha delt with the news of Ana's death, we know that she's a bit bitter about the current circumstances and I think that it was a bit of the same for Ana's death. I personally think that the only people she really talked about it with were Cassidy and Angela, other than that I think she would have thrown herself in her work. I also theories that since Cassidy was the one tasked with either finding Ana or finding out what happened to her, that he was the one to tell her that Ana was dead. I also think that her death the reason she works so hard is because she thought she never got the chance to prove Ana wrong and join Overwatch, I also think it's why that despite how complicated their relationship is now she still wants Ana in her life. I think Pharah would have always felt guilty about not reconciling before Ana's death.
I've talked a lot about how I think Cassidy was affected by Ana's death, because there is a lot about this that isn't show but is really implied. We know that Reyes put Cassidy on looking for Ana, so out of everyone in the Overwatch cast, other then Ana herself, Cassidy probably knows the most about her "death" then anyone else. I personally believe that this is when a lot of Cassidy toxic habits started coming in, the masking of his trauma and pain, the alcoholism, the use of humour to cope, I think this is where all of that and more started to rear it's head and root itself into Cassidy's character. I think that Cassidy is also like Pharah in the fact he threw himself into his work, I also think he acted as an emotional crutch for everyone else, hiding his pain to the point where only Angela and Jack could see it, everyone else assuming he's fine because Cassidy was always fine.
In all honesty, if Reyes killing Antonio was the death sentence of Overwatch, then Ana's death was the nail in the coffin.
