soobin had concluded for his new years resolution that he would try to learn how to cook and he was determined to do so

amidst all this, your boyfriend has strung you along his antics and that is how you found yourself in the kitchen making chestnut tiramisu together

"Okay the instructions said we should blend the milk and chestnuts now." he reads off his phone before adding both ingredients into the blender

"Okay lemme do that-" "No I got this!" soobin urges cutting you off as he proceeds to blend everything

you felt partly anxious as you diligently watched your boyfriend hoping he did things properly

it was no secret that soobin wasn't the best cook out there but he was determined to make this dessert on his own, you were simply there to help and overlook everything even though he wanted to try this alone

as he wrapped up adding the finishing touches to the dessert in the glass, he carefully places it on the table in front of you and hands you a teaspoon to try it with his own in another hand

you both grab a spoonful and take a bite of the dish which immediately makes you gag silently

soobin bursts out laughing pushing the dish away as you rush to the bin to spit it out into some tissue throwing it away

"Maybe I'll leave the cooking to you this time..." he admits to which you can only laugh nodding in agreement

nothing beats not having to worry about any work or school stresses and just being able to relax in the comfort of your home enjoying a good movie

here you both were cuddled up on the couch watching your second movie that day, the sun down and air getting colder

but fortunately your boyfriend made sure to bring a blanket for you both to get warm despite his body heat being more than enough for you but he didn't to risk you getting sick from the cold either

Nagi keeps glancing at your curled up form and then proceeds to play his game on his phone- he's not heartless- he is. He's just really bad at comforting someone...well- at least that's what Reo told him. Here you are now, curling up into a ball at the corner of Nagi's apartment.

He looks back and forth from his game to your sad form of human, he's not good at comforting but it was him who's the one to commit the relationship in the first place with you. He can't leave his significant other depressing while he dazed off in his world, can't he?

He put down his phone, pausing his game which was a big sacrifice he did for you and he deserves a lot of affection for it, getting up from his comfy couch as he walks up to you, he crouches down to your height which still makes him seem taller, patting your head makes you raise your head a bit from your knees to look at him.

He looks at you, as he opens his arms widely, without a second thought, you latch your into him as if you guys could mix together in a blender, Nagi securely holds you up and walks back towards his lovely couch, picking up his pause game on his phone then proceeded to lay down with you on the couch.

Putting his head on top of yours as the silent room is now filled with gunshots that came out of Nagi's phone. ”mhmm...sorry, don't know how to help.” he pressed light kisses on top of your head while muttering a small sorry in process, your fist ruining his hoodie as you tighten your grip on him.

Kurona patted your head in comfort as he handed you his water bottle for you to drink, ” no, no tears.” you took the bottle and thanked him, then he left you two alone in an awkward silence.

Quick hp rant as a former fan:

Alright so I’m not speaking out of my ass here. I used to be a major Harry Potter fan and I idolized Rowling because I loved her work. I however started falling out of love with it around 2019 and Rowling��s tirade in 2020 solidified that. With that very brief exposition out of the way,

Fuck Harry Potter bro.

I specifically want to touch on how some fans like to say that “the ironic thing is that most of Rowling’s characters would hate her.”

No the fuck they wouldn’t. Harry Potter is very pro establishment, pro police, sexist, and racist. Her main character was a victim of the fuckass wizard police and instead of having him rewrite the oppressive system, he got to become the oppressor (this is represented as good.)

Remember in the books when hermione tried to free the house elves? Remember how the moral of that story is that sometimes the slaves want to be oppressed ? What the fuck!!!

There are MANY more examples that I won’t get into (mostly related to gender and disability) but JK Rowling is a hateful, fascism aligned person and that reflects in her work and through her characters that yall love so much.

I’m not even condemning enjoying Harry potter. It’s ok to enjoy problematic media as long as you can acknowledge its problematic. Unfortunately, yall are not doing that!

In this case, you cannot separate the art from the artist. You cannot consume any Harry Potter related content without acknowledging and contending with its inherently bigoted and fascist undertones. You cannot cannot consume Rowling’s work in ANY WAY without grappling with her rhetoric, intentional or not.

If you absolutely must consume hp, you need to pirate it or else you are supporting Rowling and her transphobia. Even then, you are still consuming a deeply problematic, ill intended work (proceed with caution.)

Tldr; Harry Potter is actual ass but it’s ok to enjoy it as long as you are willing to acknowledge and grapple with its problematic elements. Also, monetarily supporting Rowling actively harms trans lives so don’t fucking do it.

jiwoong is a monster when it comes to cooking, but NOT baking. give this man a grill and a slab of meat and you have a masterpiece, but give him a mixing bowl and a recipe and he’s clueless. as such, assuming you’re a good baker, you and jiwoong are the perfect summer barbecue couple, and the ideal dinner party couple. but, i think the real fun is when you make jiwoong bake with you—you offer as much help as you can, but let him take the wheel. he can make it through brownies and cookies, but his weakness is bread—he doesn’t like how long he has to wait. he also doesn’t understand why he has to punch the dough???? i also think he doesn’t understand why you need to make it yourself when you can just go to the store…and when you say you can buy cookies at the store too, he says it’s “different.” okay then!

zhang hao is a princess and therefore does not cook or bake. and, when he does, it is a meal only HIS taste buds enjoy…my reference is whatever he was doing in camp zb1 with that soup. the nice thing is that he loves whatever you make, no matter what it is. you could put slop in front of him and, as long as it was constructed by you, he would eat the entire bowl. hao feels very loved when you cook him a meal or bake him a little treat, especially when he comes home to it. there’s no better feeling (in his opinion) than opening the front door and immediately smelling a batch of cookies cooling on the kitchen counter. because he’s far from home, i think hao will feel especially warm when he comes home to you making any sort of food he had often back home—so perhaps give his mom a call and ask for some recipes.

sung hanbin can’t cook very well, but can bake okay! perhaps you’ll be gifted some cold toast from time to time, but at least it comes with the opportunity to look at his face. but, if you ask hanbin for a fun drink … THAT is a different story. sung hanbin is the god of fun drinks, so if you’re a beverage person, he’s the exact right guy for you to date. he has a million fancy drink tools in his kitchen (an espresso machine, a high-tech blender that costs an arm and a leg, etc) and can make you anything you want. he also can make a MEAN shirley temple, which is an essential quality in a person. hanbin’s absolute favorite thing to do though is have you bake some fun dessert that he can make the perfect drink to pair it with—whether it be bitter coffee or a sweet smoothie, it brings him a lot of joy. it also brings him a lot of joy to enjoy both of the creations with you while you tell him all about how your week went.

matthew can do everything in the kitchen. say what you will, but MAN, matthew can make a MEAL. i mean the fries he made on camp zb1 looked so delicious and he straight-up did that himself. i think your favorite pastime in a relationship with matthew is watching him cook because he will roll up his sleeves and chop away at whatever he’s making, making the muscles come out. especially if he’s dealing with anything that might be sort of tough, and he often is because he likes to show off—if you ask him to make you an apple pie, he will rip the apples in half in front of you. i also think he likes to narrate what he’s doing like he’s on a cooking show, and will proceed to tell you that there’s going to be a test on what he taught the next day. matthew loves cooking for you, so make sure you let him know that you love what he cooks with a kiss on the cheek and a big “thank you” :)

taerae is decently good at both. he’s not exactly the best cook or the number one baker, but he knows enough to make some good food. i think he’d prefer cooking/baking with you rather than by himself, and you pretty much do, too. one of you will pick a recipe and assign tasks to the other, whether it be chopping up a carrot or grating some cheese. sometimes, he’ll jokingly pretend like he’s gordon ramsey and sarcastically joke about how “bad” you are at skinning the potato, and other times he will shout these bizarre “you’re doing great!” messages while he’s trying not to burn himself taking something out of the oven. then, when you’re close to finishing the food, you’ll sometimes throw together an easy dessert, like brownies or mug cakes, which will be done right as you finish eating. together, the two of you can make pretty good meals!

ricky is solidly okay at cooking, and not as okay at baking. i don’t think it’s intrinsic to him, though, he just never really tried to teach himself how to do either. he can boil water and make himself instant noodles, but he’s not crafting a perfectly cooked salmon over the most delicious rice you’ve ever had. there are other things ricky would instead dedicate himself to, like dancing or upgrading his wardrobe, so he’s never tried to upgrade his cooking skills. in fact, he’s kind of glad he never did, because now he can force you to teach him all that he wants to know. he basks in the light of your complete attention as you help him peel a potato, your hands over his as you drag the peeler across the vegetable. then, when you finish the meal, he revels in your praise as you compliment his “newfound skills” in pasta making. just make sure not to tell him you know what he’s doing.

i think gyuvin would be good at both!! judging by his snack bag, he cares a lot about yummy food and thus can carry himself in the kitchen. although, i think he’d be a lot better at baking than cooking. it’s just easier to follow a recipe to a t, and once you teach yourself how to gauge whether or not something is over-mixed, it’s smooth sailing from there. from soft and custardy lemon bars to hard-headed creme brulee, gyuvin loves gifting you with little sweet treats every week. when you were in high school, he’d bake you a treat and give it to you every friday, loving how your eyes would light up at the sight of his mom’s purple tupperware. in particular, i think gyuvin would be a good cake baker, and he absolutely goes all out for your birthday. flowers crafted with icing, any flavor your heart desires, and the most beautiful array of candles he could find—it makes you happier than you can describe. and then he gets you a super lame gift because he spent all his money on cake supplies lol

gunwook is a cook, but decidedly not a baker. his specialties happen to be any sort of stir fry and really good instant noodles, and his weaknesses are anything that requires him to stick a knife in to check if it’s done. he refuses to learn how to bake, too, because the idea that he isn’t immediately good at something terrifies him to the core and makes him feel a little sick to his stomach. the thing is, though, you don’t even know gunwook is a terrible baker for at least a year of your relationship. you automatically assume he can bake yummy cookies just from how delicious the meals he makes for you are. so, when you ask him to make you cookies and he says no almost instantly, you’re absolutely shocked—and then he lets it slip that he can’t bake for the life of him. you then learn that he hates it when you bring it up, so you stay quiet and let him sulk on his own, enjoying the taste of his yummy pork stir fry.

I’ve been thinking since I’ve finished the vestroia rewatch - what do you think Mylene wanted to achieve (like, realistically)? She shows a lot of initiative when it comes to plotting against Spectra and also is definitely not pleased with the rule of Zenoheld, so I suppose it was like… waiting for an opportunity to become the ruler? But also I don’t think that by the end if it when Hydron started killing the Vexos she had a real plan of how to proceed? Idk, just been curious about your take on her because out of everyone on the Vexos team (or maybe even in general?) she seems to be the most puzzling one to me.

With the hindsight that there were probably multiple writers who very much just had to fly by the seat of their pants to make the show before the deadlines hit, it does feel more and more like Mylene was a bunch of 'evil woman' tropes put in a blender and just added wherever possible.

But. That is an assumption I am willing to ignore for the sake of mental gymnatics (my favorite hobby) so going by what hazy memories I've got of her, she doesn't look at the bakugan like they're living beings, being the one to throw out bakugan she deems as weak in the face of those who have qualms (Volt), and welcomes the advent of mechanical bakugan with enthusiasm. However, she exhibits care towards Volt (warning him that he's putting himself in danger, but ultimately not stopping him) and at least tolerating Shadow and Lync enough to prefer their company over Spectra and Gus (who. to be fair. were plotting political murder at this point.)

I think she wanted political power and I think she was getting more and more desperate to cling to what little she had left as the situation worsened around her. She knew how to play conniving viser and ruthless warlord, but she wasn't fond of weapons that talked back. And besides, they're not friends of hers, they're not even vestal citizens, why should she be worried about the consequences of harming them?

Power of friendship is why. But at least, in the end, she died with a friend by her side, I suppose.

The sky is quite gloomy as you saunter through the wet asphalt road. A mix of yellow, orange, red, and brown leaves are scattered all over, the previous downpour having them glued to the pavement.

You got quite lucky that the rain stopped when you got out of work, or else you've been stranded at your workplace with nothing but the smell of leather and the sight of your almost robotic-like coworkers surrounding you.

It's a good thing you're out of that hellhole now, and approaching a quaint coffee shop, instead.

The bell by the door jingles as you push it open, the warm and nutty aroma of coffee and sweet caramel welcomes you, beckoning you towards the counter where the barista stood donning a brown apron over his head, his hair, a striking yellow and orange ombre.

The shop was bare, and you're betting, with all of the pennies currently in your pocket, that it had been this way since earlier today and the barista himself wasn't expecting any customers anymore to suddenly pop up.

You, being that unexpected customer, offer him a small smile as you proceed towards the counter.

"Hi! May I please have one pumpkin spice latte?" You state after carefully reading through their menu.

"Anything else?"

"No, that would be all, actually."

The barista merely nods in reply, and as he starts punching buttons on the register, you can't help but stare at him. Now that you think about it, his overall fit including his hair color actually resembles the colors of autumn. A giggle slips out of your mouth all of a sudden, making the barista give you a look.

Fortunately, he doesn't comment on it and just simply hands you the receipt, saying that he'll have your drink ready in a few. And so, you went to pick your seat by the shop's glass windows.

The sky is looking a lot gloomier than before, you take note. Although, not long after you've sat down, the rain came.

The sound of the barista's movements and the whirring of the blender and espresso machine accompanies your view of the falling rain and the dropping leaves from one tree branch to another.

The scene of the colorful leaves gradually forming a carpet on the road seemingly occupied you to a great extent that it took you a while to notice someone clearing their throat.

"Uhm, excuse me?" The barista, who was now standing by your table, says, finally earning your attention.

"I've been trying to get your attention for a few minutes now but you seemed to be engrossed with whatever's outside," He says while he puts your pumpkin spice latte on the table. Embarrassed, you mutter an apology.

"Thanks. It looks pretty, by the way," You tell him with a smile after admiring the aesthetically pleasing drink in front of you.

"Thank you, please enjoy," The barista says, mirroring your smile and then off he goes back to the counter.

"Hi, I don't want to bother you but-"

"Oh my god, have I overstayed?" You panic, glancing at your wristwatch and finding out it's already been over an hour since you've sat down in this coffee shop, your drink perfectly empty. "I can leave now, I'm sorry. You probably have to close up already, right?"

It's not like you didn't plan to leave after finishing your drink. It's just that the rain is still pouring hard, you didn't get to bring your umbrella with you, and your house is quite far from here. You're not sure if you're ready to go out and battle it out with the ongoing wetness outside.

"Oh, no, no! I can't let you leave in this weather," The barista had the same panic lacing his voice and he's quick enough to make you take your seat once again.

"And, uh, I actually came here to ask if you'd fancy a few slices of this apple galette…" The barista rubs at his nape, giving you a sheepish smile.

For a minute you look taken aback, and just when you were about to say something, he speaks yet again, exclaiming, "This is on the house, by the way!"

"Wow, that's so…sweet of you."

"Nothing biggie, really. Just figured you'd want something to accompany you since your drink's already finished and I don't think this rain's about to stop any sooner, so," He shrugs, placing the galette in front of you. An aromatic mixture of cinnamon and baked apples wafts through the air, and it awfully smells like home, fall, and everything warm.

"What's your name?" You ask just when the barista makes an attempt to retreat into his spot at the counter.

"My name is Mingi," He answers, pausing for a little bit before he asks you the same question, quite politely.

"I'm Y/N, and if you don't mind, would you like to accompany me, Mingi? We could share these pastries while we talk or something," You say, already standing up to pull up a chair for him, because you're not one who takes no for an answer.

"Well," Mingi drags out the word while he looks down at his feet, one foot lightly tapping against the floor. "Alright, I guess there's no harm in doing that." He gives in finally, taking the additional chair from you.

"Good choice."

Free: Walking over to greet the new girl who is Raven. "Hi-"

Qrow: Grabs Free by the shoulder and drags him away frantically.

Free: "Hey, what's your problem???" Qrow: "Man!- She'll rip your balls off, put them in a blender, and give it to the nearest homeless person telling them to drink it because "It's just a strawberry protein shake, dude."!" Free: "God, you act like she's Satan or something..." Qrow: "Well yeah, me and her kinda shot out of our mother's crotch right about the same time. I think I can vouch my whole life experience that she absolutely is just Satan with a vagina." Free: "That's what everyone says about their sibling." Qrow: "Yeah- When they're children-." Free: "Surely she can't be that bad-" "Hey baby~" A random drunk guy walks up to Raven. "How would you like a dance with this guy~?" Raven: "You're not my type." "I could be your type~" He goes in to try and wrap his arm around Raven, but she grabs him by the arm, back handing him in the face and then flipping him over the back side of the bar. She then proceeds to lean over, looking at the guy, his wits lost. Raven then grabs the drink of a man next to her, a bloody Mary to be exact, and pours it right into his eyes, squeezing a lime on top too for an extra kick. She watches with amusement as he screams in agony. Free watches with shock while Qrow just stares un phased, like his sister's antics are a norm. Free: "What the... ... ...-" Qrow: "I told you she's Satan with a vag." Free continues to watch, his jaw agape. Qrow: "You're welcome by the way. I saved you from that."

Dude I get the bias with sneeg, I'm technically kinda new with watching him (despite watching a few stuff there and there in the past alongside ofc genloss but I just recently started watching his stuff more) but he is the main pov I watch, I'm still at the very start (blender JUST became a thing) and I'm just giddy to get to the warden stuff bc hello????? This is so cool and it has taken over my brain entirely. I have so many thoughts about warden sneeg man goddddd (but that's for later rants and asks)

Ok so small thought!! Clown is clearly not informed about the troubles inchlings goes through, meaning, he will at some point have to become aware of it.

Like it could probably happen either during them trying to get the mace, like either they come back with either of them injured or even better! After retrieving the mace clown starts thinking

"hm. These two could be useful if I offer them a place to stay and books with enchantment as long as they can help me with retrieving stuff I need since they are so small and can easily be sneaky with my help"

They proceed to make this deal and things go well until they don't, someone probably catching on, maybe they caught either Ros or sneeg during one of their attempts to get something for clown and the other escapes just barely running back to clown begging for help

(honestly I can see sneeg being the one being trapped by another person bc "rats are dirty creatures and I don't want them near my house" kind of bs so Ros probably escaping and running all panicked and terrified to clown would probably be more likely, meanwhile sneeg is literally a moth, which, in this scenario is a really bad thing bc someone could either at best think "oh neat new pet" or at worst they could try to pull some shit like those people that enjoy collecting butterfly wings and putting them on walls)

yes clown is blissfully unaware about the struggles of an Inchling. sigh he will learn eventually

as for the mace retrieval, I didn't really have anything special in mind for that. I only know Clown from the realm smp, (whomp fake fan I know lol) the mace being stolen is like the only lifesteal reference im aware of because some people said it was one of the reasons Clown wasn't as active on the realm anymore. So I actually have no clue who stole it from him or if Clown ever got it back. welp.

however your speculating made me think more about it! so whoever stole it, was mostly preparing for Clown or someone human to break in. No one suspected two tiny robbers to sneak the mace away right under their noses >:D

after the deal was done, they went their own ways. but then different favors on both sides started and after hanging around each other the three actually became friends.

Ohhhh yes Sneeg is definitely at risk of a crazy person. his wings are a very vibrant bright blue they would be seen as a rare center piece of a collection by those people. Sneeg probably had people threaten him with tearing his wings off before.

I’m doing an honour mode run of Baldur’s Gate 3 (just barely into the underdark) and it’s been going great

I mean there have been some. Uh. Extremely dicey fights. Including one where I was three hp away from a tpk. but generally okay

One big exception though. So I’m playing a chaotic good tiefling, Sephira, so ofc she sympathizes with the refugees and goes off to the goblin camp to take em out. No problems. Gut gets korilla’d, Minthara I did try to keep alive but she was on 6 hp and the game showed me a button that said ‘hellish rebuke’ and uh. One thing led to another you know how it is. and. I don’t remember the third guy. Zirg? Zorg? Dror Raglzin? Something like that. He got barreled. No problem, easy peasy, let’s go to the grove and get our party :)

I walk in using Karlach, bc usually every time I go to the grove for the party Zevlor will NOT let me talk to any of the npc’s behind him and I wanna do that. So Karlach triggers dialogue and I break Sephira off from the group to chat with some npcs.

At this point, four things worth noting.

One: I (erroneously, it seems) recall there is a way to revive Minthara,,, but I left her body in the goblin camp.

Two: I intended, initially, to ignore the creche entirely and just go through the underdark… but the entrance to the underdark is in the goblin camp.

Three: after you kill the leaders, the entire goblin camp aggros on sight.

Four: I am on a voice call with a friend, meaning, instead of this being something I am thinking inside of my brain I am saying it out loud and as a visual aid to the story I have my map open and my cursor hovering over the fast travel point to the goblin camp.

I’m sure you can guess what I clicked by accident.

Thankfully, (ohmygod), because Sephira was separate from the group when I did that, only she went. Switching back to Karlach and triggering the party got Sephira out. Phew.

Do the party. Nearly accidentally romance Gale for the second playthrough in a row. Drinking, merry times, wheeeee!

Parties over. Next day. I have a bunch of loot to sell so I grab it and exit the camp.

Loading screen. Loading screen. Sounds of initiative being rolled. Loading screen paired with the worst sinking dread I have ever experienced.

It put me back in the fucking goblin camp.

By some sheer stroke of fate, despite the party being together, everyone else went to the emerald grove, but that thirty seconds I spent unable to see… holy shit. So fucking scary. Sephira gets the absolute shit murdered out of her.

How do I make sure this never ever happens again.

Be more careful? Make sure I don’t click things by accident?

I get to level five and proceed to slaughter the entire camp. I used the bridge as a funnel for em, set up a grease puddle to keep them back, had Sephira plant a cloud of daggers right in the middle for them to run into, Gale on standby with a fireball once enough of them clumped up, and Karlach hucking this cool spear I (found? Bought??? I don’t remember) to pick off the little guys.

Astarion is back in camp hanging out with Withers in case things go wrong, but they don’t. In fact, things go so right that the only character to leave the fight worse than they entered is…. Astarion. somehow. Yeah I don’t know what he got up to when I wasn’t looking but he lost like 8 hp.

Anyway long story short: got a problem? Could being careful fix it? No. Wrong. Blender.

Actually, this flash mob gave me my idea. Like why not make "adopt me", especially according to the plot of the video, Malinka was supposed to hold a box with Dr.Clef at the end. But I decided not to add it to the video. But closer to my idea, you can either draw what you would do by adopting Dr. Clef (or whoever you want), or make your own list.

(I'm more interested in whether someone will pick it idea, or whether it will remain in my little dreams. ;^; )
