What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

Genshin impact self insert. but the cringe. it was still in me. so he became an oc 😋 At his core he has always been a horrors inflicted foxguy with blue hair and pronouns (and themes of isolation and connection). You can find his OG character sheets if you scroll back to like. jan 2021 on my IG and his various designs over the following year. He still doesn't have like. an Official official outfit, and especially not since he got converted to Seratis 😭

How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

In universe, it's a German form of a French name, and he was born in Fontaine and moved to Mondstadt when he was a couple years old. So in-universe his name got nuked (localised). Out of universe, I was like. obsessed w dragonspine lore back then bc I made him during or just after the 1.2 update? and I was a lore junkie back then. So I wanted like. a loremaxxing name. From behindthename, "English form of the Polish name Kazimierz, derived from the Slavic element kaziti "to destroy" combined with mirŭ "peace, world"". Additionally, March 4th is Saint Casimir's feast day, which is his birthday. idk if this was intentional or a coinkydink. When he got transmigrated to Seratis, I was already used to calling him Kasimir and didn't care. His home country is loosely based off Central and Northern Europe.

The OG fennec guy. before even I was a fennec. his ears 😋

In his character design, he's most often seen with a tight-fitting dark layer and a cloak that generally matches the environment? In genshin and while he lived in Aznara, he had a heavy white-blue and navy cloak. In Aracasia, he typically wears a medium-weight water resistant cloak in a desaturated dark green. He wasn't in Brua for long, but he wore a linen scarf there. It's partially for personal privacy, partially bc. he gets cold. because he is dressed like a slut. also in his OG TL he used his cloak like a hammock and slept in trees. I think he still does this in Seratis when he's travelling.

Kasimir is like. my no.1 oc forever and ever. He has his mother (human) and his father (curabin), and he has his older half sister Alia (human) (but they're not on speaking terms and he dk if she's still alive). Friends to strangers to lovers w Nyx. After they settle down near Rasnam, he meets Marie and they're close (she's rlly involved with community events and forces him to get involved too). He met Hemera a few times, since she's his sister in law and she and Nyx r on good terms despite everything. Kasimir is actually a side character and has some but not a lot of screen time in the plot. My fav thing ever is that he is the light in starlit embrace but he is sso horrors infected he wld never think that in a million years but it's like the most obvious thing ever to Nyx. This is also important to Nyx's post canon character arc where Kasimir dies and it's like the ultimate therapy final boss where they have to develop their identity without Kasimir

Kissing Orobashi. The dead snake god in Inazuma genshin impact. That's it.

How did you choose their name and why? Was it simply based on vibes or is there any specific meaning behind the name? Are the reasons behind their name different in- and out of universe?

I think generally same reasons in and out of universe. Their name is written as 千隼 (lit. thousand falcons) and they and Orobashi have a hawk-snake theme going on.

What is an aspect of their appearance that you like the most?

Under their red and gold kimono-esque robe they're wearing a blue and purple one and btw it was Orobashi's. Also their weapon's blade is crystal marrow.

Are there any motifs or symbols associated with the character?

HAWK AND SNAKE 🔥🔥🔥 they're featured with a lot of cloud patterns. also pocketwatches.

Ermmm I think I understand the question a little better this time. They're loud and brash and a little arrogant and modern day they accidentally became a history scholar bc they cld not shut the fuck up correcting people and proving that they're right about everything forever.

Unseriously? Akutagawa. She thinks he's too dramatic and needs to shut the fuck up but in a cain instinct way. Seriously? Idk if she's ever had to interact w Fitzgerald but it'd be him defo for suresies.

Unseriously, Akutagawa, he thinks she has a stick up her ass 24/7. Seriously, probably Lucy if they met. I don't think it's that bad but it's her vibe. That she thinks she's too good for her. It irritates her.

"Honestly? Don't got a fuckin' clue. I listen to a lot of polish reggae, I guess. Instrument.... I think it'd be pretty funny to be able to whip out a harmonica or something."

"Once, a few years ago, I had this tea. It was red and it smelled like fruit and it tasted fucking good. This isn't my go-to drink, still got no clue what it was, but I liked it. There's probably more monster in my blood than water by now. And I like cold— hot drinks take too long."

was talking to a coworker and realised i could not for the life of me remember his name but i was too embarrassed to ask because we've spoken multiple times so mid-conversation i started concocting a plan to nudge the conversation towards the ID photos on our building passes so that i could be like oh my ID photo is awful haha the camera they use to take these has a real talent for making me look as unphotogenic as possible and then he would say oh yes me too haha everyone says that (because they do) and then i would be able to say well let me see yours it can't be as bad as mine! and he would show me his ID because we are coworkers and why wouldn't he and this would allow me to see his building pass which of course would have his name on it and then i would be able to say well yours is perfectly nice it must be me that's the problem! and then we would have a polite chuckle about it and i would have his name without needing to ask for it and he would be none the wiser and all would be well but then before i could execute this fine plan a little voice in my head went "so this is some light yagami bull shit you are about to pull" which was such a violent reality check it shocked me completely out of my embarrassment and i went "hey im so sorry your name has slipped my mind could you remind me" and he did and it was fine.
