The post about how characters don't connect to the setting is one of the reasons why the beginning of V7 frustrated me so much. James gives this plan of telling the world about Salem, Weiss rightfully points out their will be panic everywhere and NO ONE connects that with the very real fear that this plan could put all their families in danger. Nor does anyone get excited about the Amity project potentially allowing them to call home. Ruby's been away for A YEAR. Doesn't she miss her dad at all?

Exactly! This isn't a bad faith criticism where we're demanding the show do a ton of emotional work that there just isn't time for in the fighting focused plot; a claim that it's awful because it's not functioning as one genre (like a drama, soap opera, etc.) over another (action/adventure, fantasy, sci-fi)... I mean we get nothing in regards to this issue. Not even crumbs. And these connections are, supposedly, at the very heart of the "trust love" narrative. I think it's easy for people to forget what happens between volumes — especially given the "Only the latest volume is canon" mentality — but we literally had Ironwood announce to Ruby that he'd need to use his army to keep the grimm attacks at bay once the Salem secret was revealed and then a volume later Ruby reveals the Salem secret (along with a whole lot else that is scary, horrifying, and generally negative-emotion educing) after she's cut all ties with Ironwood and his army is fully engaged in keeping Salem at bay. There is no discussion, let along concern and worry, about how many people she just got killed for an announcement that the show has failed to justify. Why is telling the world about Salem worth the casualties it will cause? What is the world going to do against the immortal witch? Ruby doesn't know. That's her whole dilemma this volume: wanting easy answers and then crumbling when she can't think of any. Problem is, she endangered the whole world before admitting, "Oh, I have no idea how to stop all this awfulness."

I mean, I understand on an emotional level why the hypocrisy of Ruby's lies and secrets don't land because most people in the fandom dislike, or outright hate, Ozpin. That's really going to color any reading there, when suddenly the beloved hero is mirroring someone you despise — you'll do whatever mental gymnastics are necessary to keep them separate. But Ruby has no evil contrast here. This is all her. We watch her make a decision that she knows will endanger the entire world, including her loved ones, and it's never even raised as a concern. The same way no one raises concerns about going to Vacuo. Yes, supposedly escaping was the only option available (I say "supposedly" because the plot did a terrible job of convincing us that evacuation was still necessary with Salem currently exploded and it having been established that she's only after the Relic on Atlas), and in a crisis situation they aren't necessarily thinking about long-term survival (that's my own stance regarding Ironwood's desire to rise high: he's not thinking about how to live there indefinitely, just how to survive the next few hours), but why send them to the Kingdom they know Salem will attack next? The Crown is hidden. You have the Lamp and the Staff. You know Salem is after all the Relics, so of course she's going to Vacuo. And so you dump however many refugees there, in the city she's gunning for next, intentionally setting up the next Fall of Atlas? Yeah, we all know it's because structurally the story hasn't been to Vacuo yet, but in-world it makes the characters look incredibly stupid. Why dump an entire Kingdom's worth of people in the most hostile environment, with the most wary citizens, a place you know the Big Bad is heading to next, when you could instead split them up and send them to safer Kingdoms that aren't currently in Salem's path? "Oh, it's because Vacuo still has huntsmen and they need huntsmen to combat all the grimm." There wouldn't be a massive grimm problem is Ruby hadn't told the whole world about Salem!

And this problem of not thinking through actions in a way that demonstrates real care for the world is just compounded over and over on a personal level. It's the same way Ruby doesn't care about what happened to Qrow until she hopes he can fix everything. The same way she doesn't react to Yang "dying." The same way Yang didn't mention Summer for five volumes. The same way Jaune, Yang, and Nora rejected Ren until he fell in line. The same way Blake is trying to inspire Ruby when they've barely exchanged a handful of sentences since Beacon. The same way, as you say, no one has made mention of the family they've left behind, let alone considered how building a communications tower might be a way of reconnecting with them, especially when at least two of them — Ruby and Oscar — left completely out of the blue. Are they presented as caring about how that inevitably hurt their care givers? Nah. The fandom gives Tai so little slack, but at least the story showed him watching Ruby's message and being upset at the danger she's in. When was the last time the girls mentioned Tai?

The show has done a terrible job in the last couple of years of showing that these characters actually care for one another, beyond a superficial level, especially when all the cute friendship moments that function as filler are obliterated the moment one of them disagrees about something (see: Ren). There's no sense of place and little sense of real family, from Weiss doing multiple 180s with Whitley, to Blake being the only one who reacts to Yang's "death." It all rings so hollow. I'm supposed to believe that Ruby is still the one to inspire the world towards unity when she, at the point of her speech, still hasn't even tried to reconcile with Ozpin, has been betraying Ironwood this whole time, insta-turned on the Ace Ops for trying to make her face consequences for the crimes she knows she committed, fought her way into the kingdom because she didn't like the peaceful solution Cordovin offered (send Weiss), hasn't made mention of her father, collapsed over hearing her mother's name only to get over it seconds later, at this point in the volume barely interacts with her sister, and is leading a team whose attitude ranges from "Glares at Marrow for daring to suggest she works with anyone other than Yang" and "Points a weapon at her baby brother because she, apparently, can't even manage to work with a minor civilian family member." This is the team who is going to inspire Remnant to unify against Salem, the group who keeps not unifying with everyone they need to work with? There is a serious disconnect here. You can't tell the audience to "trust love" while failing to show basic love and support among the cast, and you can't try to make Ruby the poster child for unity when she has, since Volume 6, has consistently failed to unify with anyone: not Cordovin, not Qrow until he agreed to stop questioning her, not Ozpin, not Ironwood, not the Ace Ops, not even Robyn considering that was all Yang and Blake. Ruby's struggle right now is an inability to work with people who don't agree with her 100%, her biggest flaw is an all or nothing attitude, and the writing is failing to see how that might just be a problem when she's telling everyone else to put their differences aside to work together. Having Ruby actually try to connect with people more, worry about them, express love for them, etc. — both family and allies — would at least help soften this issue, but without it her characterization has severely tanked in terms of the compassion the show wants us to believe is still there.

The Zayn/ Zach Sang interview is happening, for real this time (fingers crossed)! It’s scheduled for tomorrow!! Zach promises to ask lots of NIL questions. And I really believe it’ll happen this time, Zayn OUT THERE doing promo-- he did multiple radio spots yesterday and answered every question thrown his way however stupid, even throwing caution to the wind and taking on the one they’re all always trying to avoid (though not so far to the wind as to choose any of the other options each of which would be a scandal in a different way- you can take the boy out of the media training but...)- “I’ll tell you what,” he said, “Niall is my favorite. About the grammys he said, “It's nothing to do with my own personal gain because even if they nominated me at this stage, I wouldn't even go and accept the award because it doesn't mean anything to me.”

Zayn talked about how he just wanted to do a song with Ingrid, he didn’t know what, “I didn’t expect it to be anything less than great but it was better than that… it hit the nail on the head” and “the fact that it’s an important message in the song makes it better.” He also said that he listens to a lot of country music and would really like to collab with Chris Stapleton. OKAY! TBH I can hear how that makes sense- amazing, I am manifesting this, come on universe! He also said that he will have new music this year in an old school R&B style though and that he would like to do live shows after the pandemic!! If I didn’t think he was just saying things I would be LOSING MY MIND right now but omg WHAT IF?? He said Khai is an easy baby, a good sleeper and eater, that he likes singing to her, and that Gigi is a “wicked mom” and “a big help,” LMAO (RIP Zayn, strangled by his baby mama). Hopefully Harry has had enough time to process having achieved a great industry honor, because yesterday brought another- he was on Beyonce’s insta! She included a picture of the two of them talking backstage in her big grammys wrap up post (plus he’s visible behind her in a shot of her winning- say what you will about the orange jacket it’s great for visibility!) And Lil NasX, perfect as always, has something to say about Harry too- he says “stop using me as a bait against harry styles. Also acting like Lucas can’t spare a few hours to film it with Eliott cause he has to sTuDy FoR tHe BaC when they were filming it in the middle of a night on Friday, how is that realistic

Acting like we will see what “minute by minute” really means and “see Eliott like we’ve never seen him before” which never happened

@/thv ‘s post/BTS on Instagram overall: Not only have ARMYs been waiting for more ‘selca’ posts of Taehyung (V) and were excited to see this picture drop, but this was his second Instagram post he ever made! BTS has been on vacation since their PTD ON STAGE concert in Los Angeles ended. Because of this vacation, ARMYs were happy to hear the boys will be resting well. However, there still wouldn’t be much rest for BTS ARMYs. After they announced their vacation, each BTS member made their own personal Instagram account. This caused most of the members to start posting pretty frequently meaning ARMY was still being fed content. This is such a good thing for both ARMYs and BTS because it gives them yet another platform to bond on. With this image of Taehyung (V), we get to see a more relaxed atmosphere as opposed to posts made by BigHit. This creates more of a bond like engagement within ARMYs that are excited to see their bias post.

@/jin ‘s post: This post was made after the release of Jin’s “SuperTuna” song that has been viral since. The song is popular among ARMY since it is very catchy and fun. ARMYs love seeing this side of Jin. The image itself if of him drawing the iconic tuna on the shirt he wore in the performance video for the song. I personally love this post because it ties directly to the song which was honestly a breath of fresh air to ARMYs considering Jin’s solo songs are usually quite sad.

@/agustd ‘s post: Yoongi (SUGA), posted this ‘selca’ from one of the days after the concert in Los Angeles. Many ARMYs on Twitter were joking about Yoongi (SUGA) posting a lot selcas since Yoongi is known to post two or more different versions of selcas on both platforms Twitter and Weverse. Yoongi (SUGA) posted this the day after his first post, which was a red picture with the caption mentioning how hard Instagram is to him. It’s quite endearing seeing Yoongi (SUGA) using the Instagram filters, showing he’s very new to the app but it’s very sweet!

@/j.m ‘s post: Jimin’s first post was a picture from what seems to be the Butter era. I personally love the vibe of the picture itself. The black and white filter is always perfect with Jimin. Many ARMYs have actually speculated that Jimin deleted Instagram after posting only two images. This is because he hasn’t been very active at all on the app since in comparison to the other members. We just hope Jimin is resting well!

@/abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz ‘s post: What a username. ARMYs absolutely loved Jungkook’s Instagram handle because it was perfect for him. The letters J and K missing from the handle (obviously for his name) which was very clever and just what you’d suspect from Jungkook. This post was very endearing considering it was taken before the PTD ON STAGE concert. Jungkook is very loved among ARMYs and images like this truly melt the heart.

@/rkive ‘s post: Not only is the username clever just like Jungkook’s, but the entire Instagram account is extremely fitting for Namjoon (RM) and his personality. If i’m being honest I will most likely be posting about his account the most since he’s the most active and everything that he posts is so interesting! But for now, this post of BTS leader Namjoon (RM) was very heart warming. I chose to talk about this post because I loved how the caption was “finding yoongi” and tagged Yoongi (SUGA) as the cat. Seeing BTS’ friendship with one another is the most beautiful thing. Although this is something quite simple, many ARMYs enjoyed this post as well.

@/uarmyhope ‘s post: This post of Hobi (J-Hope) at the beach taken on film and edited was very loved by ARMYs. We all expected nothing less from BTS’ sunshine. I love that the ongoing theme started with this post, it’s very satisfying to the eye when you view his feed. I also see myself posting about him quite frequently. I personally loved the caption since it’s signature line “i’m your hope”, which is true. Hobi (J-Hope) truly lives up to his stage name and his brand.

Woojin was accused. Woojin is cleared

Illhoon was accused. I believe Illhoon too will be cleared.

I can finally speak out on of the things that has been bothering me since the news broke out. At the time it was very scary and stressful as we were dealing with the wildfires in our state at the same time so I was already having a hard time. Woojin was my bias and I never believed he would do something like that. I know everyone says to believe the victim but innocent until proven guilty is still valid and victims lie, it happens often and we all know how fans and antis get sometimes, just like Wonho and Hanbin people will do anything to throw idols under the bus.

The scariest thing for me to see was how quick everyone was in defending Hanbin and Wonho and how quick the same people threw Woojin away, immediately spreading hate and sending death threat and calling him fake and all these names and just obnoxious behaiver. I understand we were all upset but you can’t just believe someone right away with no evidence and so many holes in their story. And sometimes it’s best to wait it out and then make a decision.

It wasn’t just Woojin that was caught up in the whirlwind, Jungwoo, Chanwoo, Hongjoong, Seonghwa and a few more that I can’t remember were also names thrown out from so many people. Their biggest thing was when they claimed he was a member from the big three, had a w and two o’s in his name. This is not a good statement because for one thing Woojin left Stray Kids and JYP so not only was he out of the big 3 but he’s not the only one with those letters in his name. Jungwoo and Chanwoo are also under the big three and have a w and two o’s in their names.

Back when it was so big on Twitter the Jungwoo tags were all stating that Woojin was innocent but the Stray Kids tags were saying he was guilty. Even the supposed person themselves posted one last tweet before delete the account stating it was all fake but no one took that screenshot so people were led to believe it was all fake

And then on the bullying, I’ve seen a lot of videos saying ‘this idol bullying this group’ or ‘this group bullying this member for 8 minutes’ and multiple videos being taken out of context and people claiming that since Woojin doesn’t speak a lot in some videos it’s proof he doesn’t get along and the member don’t like him. Y’all that’s not how things work. Just because you aren’t fully engaged in an activity or if you aren’t getting along doesn’t make you a bully or a bad person, Woojin was going through his own shit and idols lives are hard enough, if they feel out of it sometimes it’s not okay for us to immediately accuse them of such things like ‘they don’t like their members, they don’t get along, they are bullies.’

Idols live together and are around each other often so what you might see as “bullying” might just be them goofing off I mean ffs there is a video titled ‘ATEEZ bullying Seonghwa’ and y’all fine with that because they are only goofing around and teasing each other but you automatically assume from any footage or out of context video of Woojin playing with and teasing the members that he’s a bully. Why are you putting double standards on this? Bullying is a very serious accusation and rumors and spreading false information or any information with no evidence can ruin an idols careers. Tara and Co-Ed School unfortunately we’re big examples of this. The Tara bullying scandal ruined those girls and all the rumors and accusations caused Co-Ed School to disband before anyone could say everything was false. You have to be careful with what you say and what you hear and see cause if it’s not true and everyone believes it is you ruined a whole idols career before it can even be fixed.

Ok so, yes I know everyone says “the victim is always right” and it’s okay if you want to believe that but remember there are two sides to every story and both parties are valid until further evidence or actual evidence and you are able to prove whether or not something actually happened. I had some other things to say but I’ll let those slide and it doesn’t matter not because Woojin is innocent and it’s great news. I’m so relieved because he was my bias and I was so heartbroken when he left and when I heard about the trouble he was going through. I was so afraid to even say Woojin because everyone was censering it, acting like it was a bad name and that’s not fair on Woojin himself and it’s also not fair on the other idols named Woojin because there are at least 5 Woojins so for people to be doing that is like, you’re invalidating the other Woojin’s just because you think one Woojin is bad. Seeing people tag Woojin like w***** or w**jin and woojail and tw woojin is really upsetting and that’s not okay, that’s like bullying, calling him woojail is not okay at all. Pretending his name is a trigger when it’s not and if his name was a trigger than all the idols named Woojin would have that and censoring his name, again you’re invalidating all the other woojins. And everyone that says “ot8 or get the fuck out” or “if you still support Woojin fuck off” like..he’s literally fucking innocent. It was a bunch of Brazilian antis that started all the lies and rumors and after all the stories that don’t make sense and people still think he’s guilty and they are still sending him hate and being absolute assholes towards him. If you don’t want to believe that he’s innocent, if you don’t want to like him fine. Don’t talk about him don’t make a bunch of woojail posts, don’t send him hate or death threats because you’re 1. Making things worse and 2. Care enough about him to make his life miserable which is exactly what antis do and what those antis did. It pisses me off and upsets me how fast everyone just turned on him and they continue to bully him and send him unnecessary hate. Also it’s ok to tag Stray kids and Woojin because he was a member of Stray Kids so don’t give people shit for tagging Stray Kids.

So I’m gonna end this posts educating y’all about the multiple Woojins and it’s okay to say and spell Woojin you guys. It’s alright, you won’t get in trouble. So Woojin, my boy who I miss so so much Kim Woojin who was in Stray Kids, there’s my Thot Woojin from Target, an amazing rapper btw, I do believe there is a Woojin in AB6IX and of course there is the hot Woojin from My.st who just has this whole vibe to him that is dead sexy. Also the Woojin from Teenteen/Ghost9 and also also your gurl found a sexy man, despite me not being into body builders, I found a man on Insta named Kim Woojin and he is definitely a fucking snaCC. So thanks and enjoy the Woojins. I can get back to making my memes again. I’m just sad that I believed and jumped to conclusions and deleted some Woojin posts. But I stopped myself before I deleted all of them

ALSO ALSO recently it’s been pointed out how did Woojin has been and someone described it as what Jonghyun looked like before he left us. Woojin is my boy and I’ve been worrying about him ever since he left Stray Kids and I swear on god Hui and my camera roll if he hurts himself in any way or we lose another wonderful person I will blame Bangchan. I will blame Felix, I will blame JYP and I will blame everyone that started the rumors, the lies, the people that sent Woojin mean messages, death threats, bullying him because you don’t need to like an idol no matter what they do but bullying them and sending unnecessary hate to them is not ok no matter what they did. Even if it’s bad just ignore it because you sending them mean comments doesn’t make you any better. I was already pissed off at fans and everyone else and Bangchan and Felix for all the mean comments and everything else they were doing and I’ll be even more pissed off if this whole situation was too much for him on top of his depression and he ended his life.

Ok you know what, I’m so fucking pissed off over these posts I’m seeing on tumblr and I’m upset and I’m still having thoughts on whether or not I should post this but you know what. I don’t care. It’s my blog, it’s my opinion and it’s my feelings that I need to get off my chest. Kim Woojin is innocent and if I get any hate of any kind my stomach will do flips but y’all should know better especially if you don’t agree with me so have fun I guess I’ll probably delete or block you so I don’t have to hear your meany-ness. Crossroads three is the stake in the demon that has been... almost 2 years without Starfury events (or any tbf)

I wanted to start a new review post for each convention but  always seem to get back and feel like i've been hit with a freight train (is it bad I've missed Connui/Con Flu???)

So this is going to be the same stream of conciousness it usually is.

I'll start by saying I wasnt there for any guests after Lisa Berry cancelled, and strangley didnt have any cosplays, but i thre together my old s2 dean and went for it on.

So I spent the weekend helping out stewarding where I could and catching up with people, you could see the bone deep relief on the faces of the Starfury regs at being back.

From where I was I could hear the talks and it al sounded really fun (and sometimes blue, as per SF) but i've not watched Supernatural religiously since aprox end of s6, so i was happy where i was.

alien to me and rather sacrilegiously I was only able to attend Friday and Saturday party, i missed the final party and so wasnt part of the Survivors photo, but the two I attended were awsome enough to keep me going to Enchanted. especially when someone randomly ('m guessing) requsted Shinedown be played.

I know in the grand scheme of things i'm no Convention vet, there are still those who've been to more cons and different cons than me, but some things just make you feel like you've made it, and one of those things for me happened on the saturday night - I helped lead a con dance I always see one for the vets - its called Joe 90 and despite the 'status' i attatch to it, i'm amazed i managed it with my DCD co-ordination issues and didn't seriously hurt anyone lol.

When I decided to go I didnt think many of those I knew or those regulars I'd know would be in attendance, but stood on that door on Friday was like a whose who of Starfury minus a few (who i hope to see at upcoming events) One pair i was suprised and delighted to come across were Kai and Harry, serving cosplay awesomness as alway.

I later found out the duo had brought 'paint stripping' mead with them (morrisons own as it turned out, the non fizzy one) and I think i over did the mock-scolding....see.. Mead is something Ally (and me to a lesser extent) is known for, just like we know we can count on Taz (and Lou, and Gareth) to help us drink it lol, so I ribbed them both and I messaged Kai a link to Ravens Forge mead hall when i had wifi, and reminded them that if me or her were around, there would always be mead offered :D.

During lockdown i'd gotten to know two members of staff better than i'd done before, thats not to say i ignored them before and takes into account the fact w had been at a few none sf cons with them in the past..Taryn and Dean who are 'local' to me (Manchester) have become sort of addicted to a city I love very much (York) and like Taz, Ally and Myself, Dean loves mead and York is.. well its the best place in the county of Yorkshire for mead, even if Hull makes one lol. Dean however has taken his love of mead further than any of us and actualy started making his own, which he brought with him to CR3, apparently they'd made too much so I got a bottle given :D it was delicious but didnt last the first night, because, (and yes i know i'm a fool) for the sake of saftey i thought it would be best to leave anything glass with someone staying at the con hotel. namely Taz and Gareth, but they enjoyed it so i'm sur Dean wouldn't mind lol and it was better for me not to have to carry glass back from Birmingham.

one of my favourite moments of the weekend has to be seeing Julian Riching (Death in SPN) lighting up when I asked him about Murdoch Mysteries and then elbow bumping me (not sur eif it was just precaution or bcause my voice on the mic sounded like i was talking through gravil and Sean, Mr Starfury himself,  had to translate for me. SEAN OF ALL PEOPLE lol

I love detective shows and Victorian things and Murdoch is both (though I guess now its Edwardian lol) , and if i'd had the werewithall to remember I could have brought out a cosplay which won me 2nd place at the masquerade the last time one of the cast came to an SF, as it was i just wnt up and asked him his memory of the show, which was pretty sharp I have to say.

It was a short one for me, like i said i didn't stay for the final night (£££) bt it was sooo worth the time I did get there. I will not go into detail but the week previous had been enough to test the patiences of someon a hell of a lot more saintly than me, I regret that there was a moment when i let the other world (the rl world) slip under my barrier and cause me to freak out a few people with unusual and what I hope others would consider out of charactar bhaviour. Awesome weekend. i feel like i've been hit with a freight train and my voice still sounds lik gravel (Connui/Conflu).

the order (season two) thoughts.

so chotoranii asked me for my thoughts on the order season two. of which there are many. posting them here rather than in a reply so tumblr doesn’t fuck up the ‘keep reading’ break. 

SO MANY SPOILERS AHEAD, OBVIOUSLY.

OK FOLKS, LET’S DO THIS. SORRY ABOUT THE WORD COUNT.

the good, the bad, and the incomprehensible.

ok SO. overall i thought this season was so much better than season one, especially in terms of production and acting.

i should start by saying, the biggest twist of this season? ME LIKING JACK AS A BLOND. i’ve been dragging that hair for months and i end up digging it? i’m so mad at myself.

ANYWAY the first three episodes? flawless! beautiful! amazing! they honestly took everything i could have listed as wanting and put it onscreen. jack trying out for cheer squad and having to stay on cheer squad to keep up the act? them finding each other almost immediately? the jokes about orgies? jack taking the knights seriously and holding on to his anger over the memory wipe? lilith and nicole? nicole in general? RANDALL AND HAMISH FAKE DATING (however briefly, seriously, i will be writing fic where they have to keep that up because i am betrayed that it was never brought up again and if you think i didn’t throw my laptop across the bed so i could run around screaming you’d be wrong)? A MAGIC HEIST?

honestly, all perfect.

............then the season started to go downhill. don’t get me wrong, there were still some excellent parts, but they were hindered by two things:

the plot jumping about too much to be comprehensible.

the fact that we the viewers are supposed to believe that randall carpio and hamish duke would not tear the world apart for lilith bathory immediately. 

the first is forgivable; the first season’s plot was a simple enough device that meant it dragged a little at times. this season they seemed to not want to fall into that trap again, but in doing so threw something so big in that they needed far too much exposition because they didn’t have enough time to show it (a trait they fell into in a lot of ways, we’ll get back to that). SHOW, DON’T TELL, FOLKS. that being said, i really liked salvadore as a character, and the idea of a group of people striving to make magic accessible to all was a cool moral quandary plot. 

the second is unforgivable to me, and led to the majority of my issues with the season. i understand the knights becoming members of the order (cool concept), i understand them struggling with conflicting loyalties because of it, but what i don’t understand is the fact that randall spent the majority of the season saying “let’s get lilith back!” only to back down at the first push back, and hamish was the push back. because......the order had other problems. IN WHAT UNIVERSE DO THE KNIGHTS OF SAINT CHRISTOPHER NOT PUT EACH OTHER FIRST AND SAY FUCK EVERYONE ELSE? 

(jack i understand, if only because we saw so much of it last season. his loyalties are kinda flaky. i do understand his loyalty to vera; not only did she play a huge part in taking down edward last season, but the mind link thing and learning all her pain would have stuck with him. he loves a cause, that boy. also hey ho! jack was so much more likeable this season! we love to see it.)

also i just really missed lilith.

(thank fuck for nicole never giving up.)

the amount of callbacks to season one were fantastic. they didn’t just move on and leave it be, they referenced basically everyone, and seeing professor clarke and kyle again was a nice touch just to tie things together. there also being discussions about jack’s pete related trauma was great and necessary. 

ok, so alyssa. i take back my post about how great it would be for her to be the villain. this was so much better. her trauma in the wake of both season one and then accidentally killing someone leading to her feeling so conflicted and lost and alone? her magic malfunctioning when it’s all she feels she has? we’ve always known she was ambitious, but to see her face straight on the idea that she may be left completely powerless and no one really listening or trying to help her except a hive mind that’s also hurting her? o u c h. 

we saw this season that the real problem with the order is its motto of ‘hurry up and wait’. ‘we’ll save lilith.....just do all these other things first!’ ‘we’ll get alyssa’s magic back......there’s just more important things right now!’ it’s all so easy to see how that could frustrate someone so much they can’t take it anymore. 

i’m so pleased i loved alyssa so much this season. i desperately wanted to and i’m glad they gave me that. i just felt so much for her. she just wanted to not feel so alone and so helpless and so scared that she was going to pick the wrong side again. it was beautiful.

this also meant alyssa/jack was better this season. having got the insta-love out the way last season (ugh), this season they were able to actually look at how that would play out if you took ramifications into consideration. all the problems i had with them last season were vocalised onscreen, and this new unstable thing left in its place was far more appealing to watch. they were messy and bad for each other and they knew it, but that didn’t stop them loving each other. 

also: “if we get out of this, can i take you to the mall? because i really hate your jean jacket. and your hair.” 

in regards to the other relationships: 

lilith and nicole were adorable for the limited amount of time we got them onscreen. the slow crush to nervous dating was beautiful, and seeing lilith struggle with what getting her memories back meant in regards to that was great. we all know i thought the lilith/randall of last season was rushed, so having lilith torn over hurting one of the most important people in her life and following these feelings for someone new was lovely. IF WE GET A SEASON THREE I BETTER GET SO MUCH MORE OF THEM.

here’s the thing, putting aside lilith/nicole for a moment: the order can’t write good relationships (*with one major caveat).

hear me out. 

in season one it was insta-love. jack and alyssa meet and suddenly defending alyssa is the only thing that matters to jack. it....wasn’t good. randall and lilith were thrown together with very little build up and we were supposed to roll with it.

this season we had both hamish/vera and randall/gabrielle. i would like to say that theoretically i am here for both of these. but.

hamish/vera occurred off screen. oh, sure, we had a couple scenes of them staring at each other over drinks, but that was all we got until late into the season. we were told that hamish and vera were a thing by randall when he was winding hamish up. we didn’t see it for ourselves. again, this show’s habit of telling not showing is a problem. 

hamish and vera could make sense. two leaders of opposing factions having sort of hate, begrudging respect sex? i see it. from there, you can show us how it would become something more.

the show doesn’t. 

we’re told they’re together. we’re told hamish is forsaking his knightly duties in favour of vera. we’re told by hamish that he’s drunk the order koolaid, 

and all of this is supposed to culminate in us believing that hamish duke - tundra, leader of the knights of saint christopher, the most cunning of the wolves - would push aside everything else because he just believes that much in vera stone? to the point that he would all but abandon lilith and degrade his relationship with randall to randall being the annoying sidekick? 

i woke up at two a.m. to write a note on my phone that says: ‘the greatest tragedy of the order season two is hamish duke’s character assassination.’ and i stand by that. 

besides lilith’s absence for almost the whole season, it’s the thing i’m most mad about. i love hamish so much and to one-dimensionalise him in favour of a ship is...............shoddy work honestly.

so like i said. HAMISH/VERA COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD, BUT FOR FUCKSAKE SHOW, YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY DEVELOP THIS SHIT.

randall/gabrielle was better developed. by which i mean we actually saw them interacting on screen. we got to see them begrudgingly working together, we saw him learn more about her, we heard them talk about her need to fit in somewhere. when they made the joke about being bffs? good stuff. would i like them to slowburn this shit? yes please. have them become best friends and then have those feelings be something else. i would really like that. the show just needs to.......slow down. not immediately see a single character and need to throw them into a relationship with the nearest person.

gabrielle was great this season. by which i mean, she was gabrielle, and we love some consistent characterisation. i think it’s so true to everything we know about her that she’d want to inject herself into the knights’ world; she wants to be part of the in-crowd, and right now that’s them. she’s also supremely jealous of alyssa because, to her, it seemed like alyssa had the best of both worlds. so, yes, her wanting to be around the knights and that developing into her begrudgingly liking them makes a lot of sense to me.

so, my caveat.

the relationship the order knows how to write? the knights. hamish, randall, lilith, and jack. that dynamic saved season one from being a total mess. that dynamic thrived in the early episodes of this season. IT’S JUST THAT GOOD. i said once that if the order just became greek (2007) but with werewolves i’d be happy, and the first three episodes really gave me that. 

THE KNIGHTS ARE EACH OTHER’S SOULMATES, ASK ME HOW.

removing lilith from the equation (I’M STILL SO MAD) and then having hamish pull away from randall because..........who the fuck knows, was just a recipe for disaster.

clearly lilith is the glue that holds these idiots together.

so, vera. katherine isabelle still just steals every scene she’s in. i love her. i love vera’s characterisation. i love that she’s shamelessly ambitious but also wants the order to succeed and the world not to end. i love that she can be cold and cruel and still have such soft spots for both jack and alyssa. i love that she can be vulnerable and angry about it. i just........think vera’s pretty fucking great, tbh.

i still don’t understand why the knights - after their infiltration revenge plans go tits up - decide to just go full on order. like??????? hamish and jack barely even questioning anything???? randall must have spent most of this season feeling so alone.

that being said, when jack said to nicole and randall that he knew what they needed to get lilith back and the conversation pretty much went:

jack: you’re okay betraying the order?

nicole: for lilith, anything.

randall: i’d literally betray the order for a cookie, haven’t you been listening?

OH, HEY GUYS, REMEMBER WHEN IAN ZIERING AND JASON PRIESTLEY WERE MEMBERS OF THE ORDER AND JASON PRIESTLEY BECAME GRAND MAGUS FOR A HOT SECOND???? that was written solely for me. i do not know who this show thinks its audience is, but it understands me to my core.

so...............i have zero clue where the show intends to go from here. i just need alyssa to be ok and i hope - like his friend randall - jack is willing to kill whoever the hell he has to to make that happen. (we stan randall straight up murdering someone to get lilith back and making sure nicole remains innocent and safe tbh.) 

SO TL;DR: the early episodes gave me life. the show declined from there, but i still enjoyed it a lot. the order is at its best when the knights are a team, i loved alyssa’s story this season, and i have no clue what to expect from next season (if we get one). werewolf alyssa? villain jack, perhaps? we’ll see!

While filming season 1 of obx drew was one of the first people you got close with dont get me wrong you were friends with everyone and close with everyone but you and Drew’s friendship was a bit more then the others, you noticed how in the first month of filming season one Drew got a little flirty complimenting you every chance you got “wow that dress looks beautiful on you” which always led to you blushing. By the third month of filming he would open doors for you and always offering his water to you.

6 months into coming you guys held hands hugged and cuddled. In public the people who didn’t know you guys thought y’all were dating but you were not you never went on dates and he never asked you to be his girlfriend. Of course you hung out outside of filming but it was mostly with the group every now and then you two would go out alone.

Currently you were on set filming season 2 you had already done your scenes for the day but decided to stay back just in case they needed you to help or, or help madelyn take pictures and funny videos for tomfoolery, “hey did I show you the photo of Drew I took this morning in the trailers?” Madelyn asked after taking a photo of the sunset with the silhouettes of the pogues in the background looking like shadows “no, but now you said it I need to see it” you said she handed her camera over flicking to the photo and there it was Drew practically passed out in his breakfast burrito “oh my god that is gold he isn’t living that down ever”

Who isn’t living what down?” The man who uses a burrito as a pillow muses at you “oh nothing dearest drewseph” Maddie said laughing and putting her camera away “how was your day?” You asked calming down from laughing so hard you barely saw him today “it was good I missed my lady around, oh did you drink enough water? And eat? I know how you get when you don’t eat food” Drew reprimanded but sweetly you rolled your eyes “yes Drew I ate food dont worry they beast is in hibernation from a food coma” you said Maddie and Drew laughed “ok good we don’t need you to break another window” Maddie said remembering how you were starving you all were but you had it the worst and were so mad at Rudy and chase for messing around you punched a window and broke it then immediately apologized for breaking a window and said you were just really hungry Austin walked to you and literally shoved a hamburger in your mouth and you were so quiet for 20 mins while you at his hamburger feeling so much better ever since then everyone makes sure you ate so you don’t end up splitting them in half.

“Yeah yeah I’ve gotten a lot better” “yeah because we all remind you to eat or shove food in your face” jonas walked over to the three of you “hey guys so we just need the pogues for the rest of the day so it’s a wrap on you guys if you wanted to go and stuff” Jonas said and walked off quickly to direct what’s happening next “I was thinking of going out to this lake where you can rent paddle boards and canoes and stuff, do y’all wanna come?” Drew asked “yeah that sounds like fun I’ve never been paddle boarding before” “I would but I promised I would help out around with everything you guys have fun tho” Maddie said you guys said goodbye and hopped into a car.

Once you arrived you immediately took a picture of the view because it was so beautiful “Drew this is beautiful, how did you find this?” You asked amazed “aww yanno just some tourist site thing” you walked up to the people at the booth for the paddle boards once you got the paddle boards you and Drew started to paddle in the lake “so am I your lady or is there a secret women I need to know about?” You asked Drew laughing “oh it’s definitely you but i dont know one of the set members dog looked really good today” you both bursted out laughing “you’re such an idiot” “oh yeah well can an idiot do this?” Drew questioned before throwing himself off the paddle board and doing a flip landing perfectly into the water.

“No I guess an idiot can’t do that, you’ve proved me wrong starkey im quite impressed” you said clapping for him “good because I’ve actually never done that before and just hoped it would look cool not gunna lie I was trying to impress you” Drew said getting slightly red “well you’ve succeeded tremendously” you said you guys continued talking and paddle boarding deciding to race you lossed tho because you fell into the water.

“Drew look at the view it’s soo pretty oh my god” you said taking out your phone and snapping a bunch of photos you stopped when you heard a camera shatter and looked at your phone confused since you put your silencer on so it wouldn’t disrupt your time with Drew you looked over and Drew is looking at his phone smiling then he showed you the photo it was of you in the paddle boat taking a photo of the view “should I post this and be basic and caption it “she thought the view was pretty but I thought she was prettier” ?” Drew asked making your laugh “oh of course I’m trying to turn you into a white girl that should be the first step” you said you sighed “thank you for saying I’m pretty” you blushed and looked down at your reflection in the lake you guys paddle board was side by side so it was easy for him to take his hand to your chin and make you look at him “youre so welcome, honestly you’ve made this whole experience so great and I just want to tell you that I love you a lot and uh do you want to officially be my lady?” You laughed but said yes and you guys kissed it got a little heated because of all the sexual tension that had been built up you had tongues in each other’s mouths your hands in his hair and his on your bare hips on of the paddle boards almost flipped “maybe we should head back to set, also we took the only car for them to get home in” you suggested drew nodded not being able to form words and off to set you went.

When you arrived you saw everyone waiting all in their normal clothes “dudes did you really kidnap my car?” Austin asked “I wouldn’t say “kidnap” I just borrowed it” drew said air quoting kidnap “whatever you’re not riding shot gun for that and neither are you Y/N” Austin said getting in the drivers side you shrugged “SHOTGUN” chase belted out him and JD made eye contact and JD touched the handle first and sat down “gotta be quicker then that” JD said to chase you rolled your eyes and got in the back Drew got in right after you and you both intertwined your hands together the rest piled into the car and off you went to the apartment buildings.

Once you got on the highway JD plugged his phone in the aux and played music Rudy, chase, and both maddies were singing so loudly you got a lot of confidence from no where and unbuckled your seat belt and straddled Drew’s lap “what are you doing?” He questioned wide eyed “you’ll see just go with it” you mumbled and then started to lean in he surprised you when he met you half way and you continued what you had stopped at the lake his hands were squeezing your ass making you want to moan but you didn’t and you tugged on his hair “uh guys ? Can you like I don’t know maybe not do that?” Rudy questioned looking at you guys he was seated right next to drew one of Drew’s hands moved from your ass and waving off rudy. His hand immediately went back to where it was you felt everyone’s eyes on y’all now Rudy groaned annoyed “Ok you can borrow my car from now on” Austin said chase turned the song louder hoping you would stop Madelyn and Madison laughed you heard Madison say “that explains his insta photo she said showing everyone that he did in fact post it madelyn decided to take a picture and video recording “hey guys you gonna come up for air? She asked you just flicked her off you could hear the video replaying “dude this is gunna be so good for tomfoolery”

You guys pulled up to the apartment but you wouldn’t know cause you were still making out with Drew his hands in your shirt this time and you leaving slight hickies on his neck then going back to his lips and pulling his hair making him lean to the side so you can get better accesses chase turned around when no one got out of the car “yo love birds we are here” chase called but you still didn’t move Madison giggled “wow” Madelyn pulled her phone out again and recorded knowing the look on Rudy’s face meant he was about to do something funny “ok that’s it” Rudy stated frustration obviously on his face and tone because he was squished two on one of his side and then both the maddies to his left side keeping him from getting out of the car “I’m fucking hungry and squishedl” he complained turning towards you and drew who were still kissing you felt a hand on your forehead and then suddenly you were being pulled apart from Drew you opened your eyes to see the same was being done with Drew you moved your eyes from Drew’s to Rudy who was literally pulling you apart by your face “we are here it’s time you stop so I can get out” Rudy said his tongue out so he can focus on pulling you apart once he was satisfied he looked at you since you were closest to the door “now get out so I can get out and get food before I lose my shit” you got out and thought drew would follow but he wasn’t fast enough for Rudy’s liking “oh fuck it” Rudy said before climbing over Drew’s lap and then running to his and chases apartment door.

“Yeah don’t mess with Rudy when he is hungry he gets mean” chase said “much like Y/N just not physical leash not yet” chase mumbled “I’m going to my house to watch tv and for Cheetos” JD said “wait I’m coming, everyone out of my car” Austin said catching up with JD drew got out of the car and came straight to you “I guess this is goodbye” he said sadly “yeah I think it is” you said back just as sad “oh my god you live in the same apartment building 3 doors down calm down” chase said going up the stairs Madison followed to get her shoes she left the night before madelyn still there laughing at the video she got of Rudy pulling you and drew apart.

You hugged drew and went in for another kiss, Madelyn had left by now leaving the two of you out there you both pulled apart and said your goodbyes “goodnight drew I’ll see you tomorrow” “goodnight my lady” drew said you went to move out of his embrace but couldn’t he was latched on you tapped his shoulder but only got a hmm “babe, you gotta let go” you said laughing “I did” “yeah for 2 seconds” you literally had to pull him away from you and turned him around and slightly shoved him in the direction of his house he went to come back to you which led you to turn around and run away from him “Drew I love you but if you hug me one more time I won’t let go” you shouted as you got further away from him you heard him laugh and went into your apartment with both maddie’s you heard your phone ding and saw drew texted you saying that he missed you.

Marinette smiled as Luka strummed the guitar. He looked up and smiled back at her as she worked on the last details of her outfit. She had found so much inspiration since he started coming to their art class. She just felt so more at ease. Luka stopped playing for a second and wrote something down before trying out the new notes. She looked back at him and smiled softly as he stuck his tongue, concentrating on the new song. She noticed she wasn't the only one, watching him as Marc and Nathaniel were both watching him dreamily. She giggled to herself as he failed to notice anyone watching but then everyone's phones went off. Marinette picked up hers and gasped as she saw a picture of her and Lila.

 "I'm glad Lila is making friends but isn't Adrien with Kagami?" Marc asked as he looked at the picture. Marinette frowned deeply as she looked at the picture. It looked like Lila had taken a selfie with Adrien and posted it on her Insta, her Facebook and had even sent it as a message to everyone and anyone she could. Luka walked over and showed her the picture that he even he had received.

 "I'm not impressed that she has my phone number," He muttered, clearly annoyed. 

 "How did she even get it?" She asked, knowing full well Luka did not like Lila and therefore would not give her his number.

 "I think I might have to have words with Rose and Juleka," He muttered, looking in their direction. Juleka gulped a little before Marinette took his hand.

 "I think we should check on Kagami first," She stated, causing him to nod before the two of them grabbed their stuff and left the art studio. They ran as fast as they could to where Kagami practiced her fencing but found no wonder there. Luka frowned to himself as he noticed a tree sliced in half. He knew down and picked up the broken training sword. Marientte frowned as she noticed the scrapebook on the floor. She picked it up and saw an impression of a rose on it's pages but the rose itself was missing.

 "We need to find her," She gasped before the two of them ran as fast as they could to the most obvious place she would be. Adrien's home. Once they arrived there, it looked nothing was too out of place but Luka suddenly pushed her against the wall, shielding her as a horned girl jumped over the wall and ran off down the street. A few seconds later, Cat Noir followed. "Oh no. Don't tell me that's Kagami,"

 "At least, her miraculous didn't get infected," Luka muttered. "An akumatized Kagami is easier to deal with then an akumatized Ryuko,"

 "But it does mean we're down on team member," Marinette pointed out before grabbing Luka's hand and hiding behind the pillars, out of sight. "Tikki! Spots on!"

 "Sass! Scales Slither!" The two turned into their superhero counterparts and jumped into the sky before heading to where the villainess had gone. They looked around and saw her fighting Cat Noir as Lila Rossi stared in shock and fear. Ladybug jumped down and grabbed Lila as Viperion joined Cat in fighting her.

 "I didn't need your- aah!! Are you insane?!" Lila gasped as Viperion almost landed on her. Cat Noir followed shortly. Viperion got up and dusted himself down.

 "What is this even about?"

 "That ugly horned girl is just jealous that I got to hang out with Adrien Agreste," Lila swooned. "And can't accept that she doesn't stand a chance with him and that we're perfect for each other,"

 "You are aware that Adrien Agreste is dating someone?" Cat Noir asked, raising an eyebrow.

 "W-what? I had no idea," Lila gasped. "He told me he was single!"

 "How dare you try to make Adrien the villain here!?" The girl growled, pointing her sword at her. Lila gulped. "You will give him up! He is mine!"

 "I swear I'm telling the truth," Lila gasped. 

 "Adrien is perfection! He would never lie and I will destroy anyone who tries to sully his name! For I am his guardian, Oni-Chan!" She screamed before charging at Lila. Viperion and Cat jump in front of her but are easily knocked down before she fought against Ladybug. She kicked her out of the way and swiped at Lila, placing her thorned sword on her forehead before Ladybug threw her yoyo at her, wrapping it around the sword, pulling it away. Lila took the chance to run off but Oni-chan didn't seem too bothered, merely smirking. "It's no use running. Wherever you go, I'll find you,"

 "Not before we've captured your akuma," Cat smiled as Viperion flipped his bracelet before charging at her. He ducked and blocked her sword but she got the upperhand as Ladybug swung at her.

 "Kagami, please stop!" She tried to reason with her. "This is what Lila wants to happen. You can't give in!"

 "I am trying to protect Adrien from that wretched girl!" She screamed as the three of them jumped towards her but her horn glowed and suddenly, she disappeared in a red light before been replaced with Officer Roger. The three of them couldn't stop knocking him into the wall but Viperion flicked his head back, going back to moments before. 

 "Not before we've captured your akuma," Cat Noir stated but Viperion stopped him.

 "Wait, her horn is going to glow and-" Before he could finish, her horn glowed and Officer Roger appeared in her place. Ladybug looked confused. "She can teleport,"

 "Oh that is so not cool!" Cat Noir sighed as Officer Roger looked around, confused.

 "Where's the horned teenager?"

 "Lila?" Ladybug asked.

 "But she doesn't have a horn!" Cat Noir declared but Viperion shrugged. 

 "She must do now! Come on!" He replied, running and jumping across the buildings. Ladybug and Cat Noir followed before coming across the police car. Oni-chan was sat in it, calm and collected. Viperion frowned. 

 "Kagami, I know you want-"

 "That is not my name anymore, Snake!" She declared as Ladybug and Cat joined him. Ladybug sealed her into the cat but to their surprise, the red light appeared and replaced her with Sabine, who gasped in surprise as Ladybug stared.

 "Ma-"

 "Ms Dupan-Cheng?" Viperion gasped as Ladybug unwrapped the car, rushing over.

 "I was in the bakery when this teenager with horn came in, saying a supervillain was after her,"

 "Lila?" Cat questioned.

 "Oni-chan must be there already,"

 "Stay here!" Ladybug ordered before the three of them rushed over to the bakery. They jumped down in front of Lila as she rushed to leave. 

 "Lila, are you ok?" Cat asked.

 "You're rushing to my rescue after all those mean things I said?!" Lila gushed before hugging Ladybug. "I really misjudged you, Ladybug! You're the only one who can help me!"

 Viperion rose an eyebrow as he saw her horn grow before Ladybug gently pushed her away. Cat, however, didn't notice it. 

 "I knew she would wind up liking you in the end,"

 "Her horn grew," Viperion pointed out as Ladybug's phone vibrated and the horn glowed. She flipped it open and frowned.

 "What kind of message is that?!" She asked before suddenly disappearing and been replaced by Oni-chan.

 "Hey, not cool! The girls were just starting to get along!" Cat replied, charging at her as Viperion clicked.

 "That's it!" He gasped before rushing into the bakery. Ladybug was stood there, dusting herself down. "Ladybug! She's using the horn as a becon,"

 "Like a cell phone tower. I know," She smiled. "Mr Dupan-chang helped me work it out. Come on. I have a plan,"

 "After you, bug," He grinned before the two of them joined Cat, just as he went flying into a bill board. Viperion rushed over and  helped him up before the three of them looked around. They jumped down on the ground and continued to look around before noticing Lila with Oni-Chan. Viperion rose an eyebrow as it looked Lila had said something to her before Oni-chan grinned and suddenly charged at Ladybug, causing her to jump back. However, she was relentless as she continuously tried to attack Ladybug. Cat blocked her sword and knocked her out of the way as he stood with her while Viperion landed on her left side, ready to fight. 

 "If anyone recieves a text message, don't let them open," Ladybug informed, making the two of them nod. "That's how Oni-chan teleports herself!"

 As if on cue, Oni-chan jumped at them slamming her sword into the ground when they jumped away. She swung it, causing Viperion and Cat Noir to jump out the way before Viperion landed a kick, knocking her back. She stabbed at him but he jumped over her as Cat charged at her, dogding her swipes before back flipping and land on his feet. 

 "Oh, Cat Noir! It hurts so much!" Lila gasped suddenly, stealing Cat's attention. "I think I might have broken something,"

 "Mi'lady, I got an emerency. I won't be long," Cat Noir gasped, buying her tale.

 "Seems like she's pulling your tail, Kitty," Viperion gasped, backflipping away from Oni-chan as Ladybug did the same. 

 "She wouldn't do that now. She really looks like she's in pain," He gasped, rushing over to her before he carried her away. Viperion rolled his eyes before looking at Ladybug as she dodged Oni-chan.

 "Summon your lucky charm while I keep her busy!" He stated, charging at her. "You know all you girls are fighting over this Adrien Agreste but no one's fighting over me. I'm just as charming as him and better taste in fashion!"

 "How dare you compare yourself to Adrien, you sly snake! He's perfection personified" She screamed as Viperion dodged her. 

 "And I'm not hm? Well, I prefer it that way! Perfection is overrated! I prefer the rough but ready to fun type of charm!"

 "I'll say!" Ladybug grinned. "Lucky charm!"

 A hose pipe appeared out of thin air but before she could catch it, Oni-chan grabbed them and wrapped them around both her and Viperion, tying them both to a lamp pole.

 "Looks like I caught myself a snake and a bug," She smirked before reaching out for Ladybug's earrings. Ladybug kicked her back.

 "Kagami, listen to me. Lila is man-" Ladybug flinched as she placed her hand on her shoulder before a fireman suddenly appeared in front of her.

 "Ladybug? Viperion?" He questioned, confused before he started to untie both of them. "You two should be really careful. These things are extremely hard to untie. It once took us two hours to free a kid who had gotten himself tangled in these,"

 "Great," Viperion sighed but rose an eyebrow as Ladybug took out her yoyo. "Bug?"

 "I got a plan," She grinned, phoning Cat Noir. "Hey, bring Lila to us,"

 "Sure thing, mi'lady," Cat replied before hanging up. A few minutes later, he arrived followed by Oni-chan. Lila's horn glowed and suddenly, Ladybug and Oni-chan switched places. Ladybug grabbed her sword and threw it up in the air. 

 "Catacylm!" Cat shouted as he caught it, destroying it and freeing the akuma. She purified it before walking over to Viperion and Oni-chan. Ladybug smirked at Viperion playfully, freeing the two of them before she threw the tubes up in the air.

 "Miraculous ladybug!" She shouted, restoring everything to normal. Oni-chan turned back into Kagami as Cat Noir gave her the rose. 

 "Kagami," He muttered, picking her up as Ladybug rushed over. "Keep an eye on Lila. She's as sly as a fox,"

 "Oh my gosh. You guys are the greatest right? You saved me and had this wicked plan-"

 "Your leg looks better," Ladybug smirked, knowingly as Viperion crossed his arms with a disapproving look. 

 "Oh, been around you heroes is paying off,"

 "Well, you won't need us then," Ladybug smirked before her and Viperion jumped on the roofs and ran off. "I knew she hadn't let her lesson,"

 "Of course not but I think it may be worst then we realized,"

 "What do you mean?"

 "First, Marc now Kagami. Both akumas were caused by her so I'm wondering who's next?"

 "You think she's doing it on purpose?" Ladybug asked, frowning. 

 "I think so," Viperion replied, frowning. "It makes sense to me. Hawkmoth has lost his queen so he's gonna look for a new one,"

 "Lila would be a good choice," Ladybug mumbled, nodding in agreement as they landed on a roof top. 

 "Should we tell the others?"

 "I think we should tell Cat and Ryuko but just those two for now,"

 "Alright," He nodded before gently kissing her cheek. "Good night, Bug,"

 "Night, Viper..." She mumbled softly, touching her cheek where he kissed as he jumped off the building and headed back home. She turned on her heel and jumped across the buildings before jumping through her skylight. "Spots off!"

 She landed on the floor and caught Tikki before walking over to her dressing table and taking out a macaroon for Tikki, who happily took it and started to eat

 "I think Luka is on to something, Marinette," She mumbled after swallowing a mouthful. "Lila would be a powerful tool for Hawkmoth to use and it can't be chance that she caused both Marc's and Kagami's akumas,"

 "I think he's right too," She replied, getting changed into her PJs before she climbed up to her bed and flopped down as she sighed dreamily. Tikki floated up to her and curled up in the bed. Her phone vibrated and she checked it, smiling softly when she saw it was Luka wishing her sweet dreams. She texted back, wishing him the same before she curled up and closed her eyes, allowing sleep to claim her.

Chapter 7

Tender

Natsu had noticed that Lucy's body had changed a lot within her pregnancy. Basically, everything got bigger. Her stomach, her feet, and not to mention her breasts. Lucy had told him that her breasts would get bigger during the pregnancy, and she was right. While they were already large before, they were even larger now.

Lucy groaned and complained, "I'm feeling sore again."

Natsu tore his gaze away from her chest. "Where? Is it your feet again?"

His wife shook her head, her golden tresses flowing around her. "My boobs, actually." Natsu swallowed thickly, watching as Lucy began to massage her own breasts. "They're so sore!"

"W-Want me to massage them for you?" Natsu choked out, hoping that he wasn't too obvious. Even though Lucy's appearance had changed, his attraction towards her hadn't at all. The faint twitch in his pants still made itself apparent every day, which he'd had to relieve himself more often since Lucy was usually tired out. Not that he blamed her for it.

"Would you?" Lucy asked, beaming at him. Seeing him nod, her dazzling grin grew even larger. "Thank you, Natsu!"

With that, the two were getting into bed for the night. Natsu licked his lips subconsciously as he brought his hands to her breasts. Cupping them in his hands, he felt himself begin to grow within his pants, restrained underneath the cloth.

Louis' big show is TOMORROW but that may not even be all we have to look forward to from him! Producer Alex Oriet (half of the duo Saltwives, who have worked with Zayn a lot, and he got his start working with 1D) reposted Louis' “new song” tweet to his insta with a caption- “soon”. OMG. Billboard had a 'year in livestreams' feature and wrapped up with Louis', saying “the best is yet to come” and reporting that Louis' show is Veeps' bestselling of the year “in excess of $1 million” (so either over a mil so far or a mil over the next best, hard to say, but it'll be well over a million by the end for sure so either makes sense).“I can't wait for tomorrow!” Louis tweeted, SAME, and “feels so good to be back with the boys getting ready. Can't wait for you all to see what we've been working on!” He included the brand new special Live From London twiiter emoji (!), it's a really cute lil vintage TV with the xx smiley on it, and a pic-- it's him looking over the backstage prep (so many screens) and you can see his hair flowing free and long and lovely! You can also see a piece of paper in front of him with 20 lines on it-- even if it is a set list I imagine some lines say “banter with crowd” and such like (as we saw on Louis' tour set list) but that's still soooo many lovely songs :))). Charlie Lightening says “this is going to be special, can’t wait for people to see what we have planned” and LTHQoffical is hitting us hard with the hype, posting another rehearsal pic (he's holding a beer and they didn't even scribble it out! wow almost like there's nothing wrong with that), and a time zone guide showing 66 cities around the world, and a digital fan pack, and they said more merch will be out tomorrow (heeelllp), and there's a show day itinerary-- ticket sales cut off 4 hours before the stream but much more interestingly, don't reopen (for the 28 hours of rewatch) until TWO HOURS after the start time. While they could (probably should) be allowing time for technical difficulties I much prefer to believe it's because we're getting a LONG SHOW YES PLEASE! I like my Louis shows like I like his hair, as long as he can possibly manage!! So that's plenty that we DO know to be excited about at the moment but the mystery of Louis new label also remains a hot topic nonetheless, with the known high cost of a twitter emoji stirring questions of who footed the bill (not something we're ever likely to find out sadly). If his team really understood us in the least they'd set up a viral video style Q and A where every Q pulled out of the bowl was an intensely detailed bookkeeping or promo strategy type query- tbh the faces Louis (or any one of the boys) would make would be 100x more entertaining than they get from any tired trying-to-be-cheeky standard Q and the answers sure would be!

Harry's prerecorded (months ago!) Jingle Ball performance aired at last and OH MY GOSH! SO GOOD! I think we can all agree (I know right?? I can't believe it either) that the backing band, Free Nationals, were phenomenal, and Harry's performance was terrific, just simply next level versions of the songs and Harry's sound in general. What more could we ask? For me, not much. For the Jingle Bell Ball organizers, well, they might have liked something Christmassy I suppose, maybe a holiday cover song, or a “tour of his home and holiday traditions.” LOL too bad! Whatever, they DID get vocal variations all over the place and oh did they work, a little lyric change in Golden (“I'm hoping someday I'll open”?), Harry in a sunny LA backyard (whose? who knows!) and everyone in not remotely festive Gucci. There were some decorations though! Not xmassy though- they were, can you guess, yes that's right: sky blue. And there was TRUMPET! A horn section, like revenge, is best served cold apparently: all these years on we can only assume Julian Bulian is good and sorry for denying Harry his trumpets cause DAMN did that sound GOOD. Julian may not say it but I will: you were SO RIGHT Harry, trumpets on every song!! Please! In fact, if you just took that guy on tour with you... or any of those people really? He can just have a really BIG backing band how about, then we won't have to argue about whether wanting this to be his band is mean to the old band. Anyway I hope the fan who ran into him in LA this morning told him how much we liked the show-- she did take a distanced pic, Harry is in his running gear (mostly black but bright fruity shoes) and holding a beverage. Oh yeah and Fine Line is now available to stream in “3D audio” (there's a moving in a New Direction from 1D joke in here headline writers, have at it) which is something that apparently only works with an Amazon device and is strange because physicists assure me that all sound is 3D, but what do they know. Anyway I'm sure it sounds great to those who can access it but luckily for me the album sounds great in plebian unbranded sound as well.

In the wake of Liam's no-show livestream yesterday fans are full of theories about what could be going on to cause such a thing, except actually it's only one theory; everyone is quick to ascribe the glitch to management struggles. May I simply say: there are so very very many things that could be happening in a person's life, even in a 1D member's life, that could cause a missed event and reducing any of them to 1 Dimensional figures who only have work related problems does them (and rigorous theorizing) a disservice. I hope we can all agree on wanting what's best for Liam, and that that extends to supporting him even if things are going on that are less glamorous than management villainy. I will ascribe one thing to management though-- I do believe the guys do the bulk of their own tweeting etc nearly always, but @Liam's tweet that yesterday's live didn't happen due to “technical difficulties” and they are “looking to reschedule” is one that I will make the exception for, sometimes you can just feel the PR person behind the screen! Tik Tok said it was rescheduled for next Tuesday, but the tweet was after that sooo hmm. The Billboard article about Veeps of course also talked about Liam (his Halloween show had 3.7 BILLION chat messages my god) and Liam's prerecorded alarm content today is Roman teaching Liam to do a Harry impression. How come when Roman does it it sounds like Harry but when Liam does it he sounds like Roman? Tip to Liam, just call it a Roman impression and you've GOT it!

Meanwhile, Lewis Capaldi weighs in on Niall and whether he (Lewis) enjoys golf with uncharaceristic delicacy; “we have different interests,” he says, and he sympathizes with a fan who said they'd slap him to meet Harry: “I understand.”

-okay so you’re nearing your due date and everyone is on edge

-and as always, i know nothing about child birth, and with that said, here we goooo

-”did your water break?!” “no i’m just peeing relax.”

-”what happens if your water breaks while you’re in the pool?” “then i guess my water breaks in the pool.”

-waking up at night to go pee and as soon as you move Michael always snaps awake, “is it time?!” “no i just gotta pee.”

-one of them is with you at all times just in case

-you’re in the bath with Ashton, completely relaxed, eyes closed when Ash goes “fuck babe, i think your water broke!”

-you open your eyes and sure enough the water looks a little weird, just a little though so you’re not really sure… and then the first contraction hits you

-”holy fuck Ashton you’re right.”

-so he hops from the tub and doesn’t even dry himself before he throws on black sweatpants and a hoodie, running back to the bathroom with a robe

-”Ashton i am not going to the hospital naked.” you scream

-”you’re not naked, it’s a robe, plus they’ll all see you when you give birth anyways-”

-”Calum!” you scream

-and of course Calum comes running in and he immediately grabs you a pair of his sweats and a hoodie and the two of them help you out of the tub and into clothes

-”you tried to make her leave in just a robe?” Calum grins as the two of them help you out of the bathroom

-”Luke! Michael! it’s happening!” Ashton screams, “Luke grab the overnight bag!

-Luke shows up with your bag in his hands but Michael is god knows where

-of course Luke has to go find him and Michael is playing video games with his head phones on and as soon as he realizes he almost missed the whole thing he is screaming and running to the car

-”Michael you are not driving.” Ashton says as he helps you into the back then gets in the drivers seat

-Michael gets in the front as well

-Luke and Calum go in the back with you

-”so Ashton tried to make Y/N leave in just a robe.” Calum states

-”what?!” Luke and Michael both scream

-you’re holding Luke and Calum’s hands and the contractions aren’t super painful but then a bad one hits you and you’re screaming and Luke and Calum are screaming and then Michael is screaming

-”can everyone please stop screaming i’m trying to drive!” Ashton screams

-”deep breathing!” Luke suggests, beginning the breathing techniques that some lady on youtube said would help

-”fuck! distract me!” you yell

-Michael turns the radio up super loud and of course Youngblood is playing because of fucking course it would be

-but then you’re all singing it at the top of your lungs to distract you from your contractions

-it’s kinda wild tbh

-pulling up to the hospital and Michael runs in to try to get a wheelchair or something but Ashton goes in as well in time to see Michael floundering and not knowing what to do

-the two of them going up to the receptionist and Michael is like “we’re having a freaking baby!” and he’s all wild and Ashton calmly says, “our girlfriend is pregnant she’s outside her water broke her contractions are pretty close together-”

-as the hospital staff follow Ashton and Michael outside Ashton answers all the medical questions

-they get you into the wheelchair and one of the nurses finally asks, “so which one of you is the father?”

-they all look at each other but you’re the one to say “they’re all the father.”

-the nurses look at each other because holy shit

-but like… your doctor knows the whole situation so there will for sure be enough space for all 4 in the delivery room

-the nurses are timing the contractions and yeah, this baby is coming

-they get you into the delivery room and your boys are freaking out

-Ashton takes lead and gets Michael and Luke (who are freaking out the most) to each take a seat on your left side so they stop pacing

-as soon as the doctor shows up Ashton and Calum stop pacing and sit on your other side

-”at least you’re not all pacing, that’s good.” the doctor smiles

-you groan because there’s a contraction and this causes all of them to make sounds of discomfort

-Michael and Ashton take a turn holding your hand because Luke and Calum’s hands are still hurting from the car ride over

-”baby i’m so sorry but can i give you my other hand, this is my good guitar hand and-” all of you turning and screaming at Michael, “or not, i don’t need this hand it’s all good.”

-”you’re doing amazing baby.” Calum tries to sooth you

-”yeah, amazing.” Luke agrees

-you follow the doctors instructions and you push which makes all four of you scream again

-”Don’t make her push again that really hurt!” Michael whispers but of course you all hear him

-i mean valid but you kind of have to push

-”can’t the baby just stay inside?” you groan, “just a little bit longer?”

-”you’re doing great Y/N, but you have to push on three, one, two, three!” the doctor instructs

-you push and there’s pain but then the pain isnt so bad and the sound of crying fills the room

-”congratulations, you all have a beautiful baby girl.” the doctor says as the baby gets cleaned

-”you did it Sweetheart.” Ashton says, kissing you

-you let go of Michael and Ashton’s hands and they both let out sighs of relief

-Luke stands and goes to see how the baby is doing, Ashton going and joining him while Michael and Calum both kiss you and hold your hands

-”who wants to hold her first?” the doctor asks

-wrong question because of course they all do

-and it’s not like the doctor is going to decide

-”Y/N should get to hold her first.” Calum states

-they all agree and the doctor brings your baby over and sets it down in your arms

-your four boys come around you and you all look down at the beautiful baby that you created

-”you look just like your mommy, Princess.” Ashton melts

-yeah. you all know in that moment, your baby is going to be such a daddies girl, and she’s going to have four of them so she’s going to be the luckiest child ever

-and yeah, your title as Princess is gone. lets be real here

-”okay rock paper scissors on who gets to hold her first.” Michael states finally, “i will fight for this.”

-and he’s serious as fuck

-and yeah you never talked about who would get to hold the baby first

-no one even tries to rock paper scissors with Michael

-you hold out the baby and Michael softly accepts the baby, he’s so soft and is cooing and you can see him melting

-”hey baby, i’m your dada.”

-the others are getting restless because they want a turn so badly

-Luke’s right there so Michael passes him the baby next

-its funny seeing Luke, painted nails and all, looking down at this tiny human and he is grinning and is all angelic

-”she’s so small.” Luke whispers

-”no you’re just massive.” Calum grins

-Luke smiles and hands the baby over to Calum

-Calum’s beautiful hand tattoos contrast the new baby in the most beautiful way

-Calum doesn’t even say anything, just kisses the babies forehead before handing the baby to Ashton

-Ashton beams down at the baby, “it’s me, the drummer who’s been soothing you for months. that was Cal, he plays bass for 5 seconds of summer-”

-”in fact we’re all part of 5sos, we are the band, your daddies are a band.” Ashton laughs, “we’re your daddies.”

-the softest times

-they all cuddle you and the baby, usually in pairs because that’s easiest

-Ashton of course gets a picture of you with the baby

-one of them going on the twitter page to update and just say “just welcomed the newest member of the 5sos family, more details coming soon.”

-turning all your phones off

-when you’re able to leave the hospital Calum pushes your wheelchair to the car

-Ashton drives bellow the speed limit and a ton of people honk at him but none of you care

-getting home and they all fuss about getting you inside

-you’re still exhausted so Ashton and Luke take the baby up to the nursery while Luke and Calum take you to the living room couch

-Calum pulls you into his lap and rubs your shoulders, kissing your neck, “you must be exhausted baby.” he says

-you’re about to respond when Michael comes back into the room with the baby proof tape that you guys bought ages ago and he starts baby proofing the shit out of the room

-you and Cal watch and laugh when he doesn’t think one layer of tape is enough and doubles the layers of the coffee table edges

-”okay, i think i’m good enough to go up the stairs now.” you laugh

-they both help you up the stairs to the nursery where Ashton and Luke have already set up a chair for you right next to the crib

-having five parents makes things a lot easier

-like you’re actually able to get some sleep the first few months because you all take turns sleeping in pairs in the babies room

-they all love to sing to the baby to get her to sleep

-the baby loving Ashton’s voice the most and Luke is personally offended by that

-four iphones getting whipped out to record it but the baby looks up at all her daddies and giggles because she ain’t pulling that shit again

-Michael playing video games with the baby on his lap and the rest of you are like Michael why the fuck are you playing first person shooter with OUR FUCKING BABY ON YOUR LAP!

-oh my god as soon as the baby starts to stand you all come running into the room and they each are there incase the baby falls

-they all want to see who the baby walks to first

-it looks like she’s going towards Luke but stumbles straight past him and hugs Petunia who was sitting behind Luke

-”are you kidding me!?”

-Petunia licks your baby’s cheek and you all melt because Petunia is in love with your baby

-your baby goes through a period where she will only eat if Calum feeds her

-and then one day Calum is doing the ‘open up for the airplane’ and she refuses, turning and looking at Michael

-”my time to shine!” Michael yells, running in and taking the spoon from Calum

-and these boys love taking her out and about

-Like Cal and Ash are down for walks or hikes with your baby on their back in one of those baby carrier backpacks

-the cutest pictures of Cal with the baby on his back and Duke running around his heels as he hikes up to the Hollywood Sign

-and Luke walks Petunia while pushing the baby carrier

-so fans see the boys, their baby and their dogs around a lot

-people are super respectful of the baby though

-there’s a scheduling conflict and the boys have to take the baby to the interview

-but its the sweetest interview ever

-like, they sit on the couch and let the baby just crawl from one boy to the other

-and then the baby says “dada.” which, i mean, by this point she’s said it before but never on camera

-and as soon as she says it they both just give her their full attention

-the interviewer rolls with it and adjusts all the questions to be like “so who’s voice does she like the best?” or “are you guys working on songs about fatherhood?”

-they just begin gushing info about the baby

-like the time Ashton died his hair a new colour and the baby hated it and wouldnt look at him for a few days until he changed it back

-”we think she likes red. she likes it when Luke paints his nails red, or when her mommy wears red lipstick, and she found an old picture of Ashton’s red hair and seemed to like it.”

-”and she likes the old music. our first album, she loves it.” Michael laughs, “it makes Ashton really mad.”

-”well Youngblood is really good and she’s sleeping on it!”
