Month 5, day 21

So we had a nasty storm this morning that knocked out the power, which means that instead of rendering all day, my computer got a nice break. And I'm happy for her! She's a good computer and she works hard. Unfortunately, that also means that all the frames I was rendering didn't get done. We only got up to frame 171 finished, and now we're just starting on frame 175 since I restarted them about 45 minutes ago. Thank goodness I didn't have to redo ALL OF THEM, I just had to restart the process after telling Blender "please don't redo the ones you already did." If I had to redo all of them I'd have cried.

But hey! The power going out and stopping the rendering process just means I worked more on the new shirt design tonight :) Which I'll be continuing after I finish the river animation, actually. I missed drawing and designing.

Anywho, I played with the text today and wound up with two iterations on it that I kind of like? And I can't decide which one I like more. The one on the right fits the aesthetic I'm going for a little better, I think, but the one on the left makes the text pop in a way I really dig. Tomorrow (or Thursday, depends on if the rest of the frames finish before I start my art session tomorrow night) I'll be experimenting with these using the other text design I did with all the nifty serif embellishments.

You should be able to rot in bed for 2, maybe 3 hours after waking up before it starts affecting what time it is. If I wake up at 8:30 and lie in bed for 2hr it should still be 8:30 when I get up
