Something something about how both care so much about each other that Phaser founded an entire organisation for Tremolo to no longer be afraid, and Tremolo risking his freedom just to keep one secret of Phaser hidden, yet they lack communication in the worst sense that when Tremolo has an outburst of anger, Phaser goes along with whatever Tremolo asks of him, and Tremolo follows Phaser’s orders no matter how bad or unreasonable they are, instead of doing the rational thing of sitting each other down and talking about the actual problem and solving it like well-adjusted people.

It's like they share one singular braincell that only activates while thinking about solving the problems of others (or the current big problem at hand), but once it's between the brothers it instantly shuts down and "make sure your brother stays unharmed and happy – emergency_protocol.exe" is activated.

Obviously, the one braincell is a joke because the plan they crafted with the other rebels was genius, considering the information they had at the time. The way they communicated with Rovian, Luge and Manya to avoid detection from Yuna was beautiful. Not to mention the way Phaser saw the integration of the MIK employees into Goha Cooperation. Sure, it was involved with a cover up, but the very reasonable thought was still there.

I'm not trying to make light of Phaser and Tremolo or their issues. I don't really want to address their overall problems (and neither do they, like ever) or analyse them, because I'm very bad at analysing anything, lol. I just think they are silly and the absolute worst.

I love them.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? something that drives me insane on a relatively regular basis as a body jewelry understander is talking to people who have sensitive skin who are like "oh well I just can't wear any earrings without my ears getting inflamed" and I say "well what have you tried" and they say "well I've tried sterling silver and I've tried gold..." and it's like. ok. I don't know how gold and sterling somehow got spun by the jewelry industry as being especially good for sensitive skin but whenever I'm like "well have you tried implant grade titanium" they're always like "no....... but I've tried sterling silver... and it didn't work ..." like. I don't know how this narrative about sterling silver somehow got so strong but when they put pins in your fucking legs when you snap your leg in half are those pins made of sterling silver or are they made of implant grade titanium or surgical steel????????? Mel's protection should have saved Viktor too, and she's trying to figure out why it didn't

S2 ep1 shows a circle of protected stone where Mel and Jayce were during the explosion. My theory is that Mel's magic armor activated and saved them both. It seems like it casts a sphere of protection around wherever Mel is.

The center of this circle is not Mel's seat - it's Jayce's. She ran to Jayce to save him.

No other Councilors were in range of Mel's protection, so they all got hurt or killed.

But Viktor was, in Jayce's words, "right next to" him. He was easily within Mel's circle of protection.

1) Viktor tried to run and mistakenly left the circle of protection. But are we meant to believe that Viktor, close to dying already and using a crutch, would have outrun Mel?

2) Viktor's augmented body clashes with Mel's

Why does Mel try to touch Viktor in episode 1? It seems like a throwaway moment, but not even Jayce touches him in this scene. So why Mel?

She's curious. And possibly, feeling responsible. She's wondering why her protection didn't work.

Is this Hexcore brand of the Arcane trying to reach out to Mel? Or trying to defend itself from her?

Mel was trying to protect both Jayce and Viktor, which is reflected in how she holds Jayce as well as Viktor's cane when she promises to protect Hextech:

But if, for example, Mel's magic is Solari in origin, and Viktor's is from the Void - or the Arcane equivalent of similar opposing forces - then it's possible that their magic rejects or hurts one another. So Mel's circle of protection either rejected Viktor, or was what hurt Viktor, and not the explosion.
