Firstly, what inspired you to give the DCA a frozen half mask? I honestly find it to be SUCH a cool design choice and I wanna know your design process! :D

Secondly (DCA related again </3), what’s your interpretation on Eclipse within your universe? Do they exist? Are they a third entity, a combination of Sun and Moon, a security program with no learning AI, or perhaps something else entirely? I’d love to hear your thoughts! (Personally I interpret them as a combination/security program :0!)

Lastly (yes… once more… DCA related…), do you have any fun facts about Sun, Moon, and Chica’s friendship that you’ve been itching to share? Or haven’t gotten the chance to touch on yet? This AU honestly made me grow really attached to the idea of the DCA and Glam Chica being friends! It’s so so SO sweet!

GOLLY HI!!! Sorry, I didn't see this till now! I'm so glad you're enjoying my stuff, thank you!!! I don't have a name for this "AU" since it kinda started as just this series of snippets of the DCA and Chica being besties and then it started bleeding into all the feelings I had about SB's corporate horror subtext and all of the assumptions I'd had about the direction they would take the story after Help Wanted, and now it's kind of a….retelling-slash-one off comics story. If you or anybody else has name ideas for this on-going saga I'd love to hear them so that I could put it all in a dedicated tag! Now that I've got that ramble out of the way I'll answer your questions! (I lied I'm gonna ramble more cuz I'm really good at it ksfdlnlksdfnlksndf)

1) I have a tendency to redesign characters a bit when I make fan art because trying to stay on model to the original design makes my art come out a bit stiff. I'd seen a lot of fan art for the DCA where they had their whole mouth move, but with the way their faces have a "moon" side, it made me think of a Phantom of the Opera mask. Then I heard that in the Pizzaplex books they were apparently a theater robot that was repurposed for the daycare, so I just decided to lean into it! I've been playing with the idea of making the eye holes on Sun and Moon's mask different to mimic the tragedy/comedy masks!

2) Ooooh the security program is an interesting idea!!! So, I don't know how actual programming stuff works. And since I believe that the robots in FNAF have been sentient since Sister Location, meaning that they've been advancing robo sentience in-universe further for years, I tend to play around with the sentience and the programming fighting with each other at times. When it comes to what I think Eclipse is…. I'm actually gonna put that under a spoiler because it's something I've been teasing at and I can't keep story secrets to save my life, so you can look at that answer ~ at your own risk oooOOOooooOOOooo ~ Now. To answer the third point and give you that Eclipse spoiler. I need to add it in a reblog. Because I was writing out this whole thing....and I wrote so much that I hit the text limit. Which I have never done before. Which also freaked Tumblr out and it wouldn't let me post this no matter how much I erased. Pff, jokes aside (and ngl the mxes design is really cool), here’s for a genuine question simply out of random curiosity: Bonnie is your favorite fnaf character, or among your favorites, that right? I am a little unfamiliar with his characterization, so I’d love to know what is it you like about him? That or if there’s any other ramblings about your favorite lagomorph(s) that you’d like to share, I’m all ears ^^

Yes, he's one of my favorites! The DCA has a pretty roomy spot up there in the faves but Bonnies is a classic love!

From the first FNAF game, my preference was design-based (love that he's an indigo rabbit, appeared the first night, and his general eerieness) but he was the one who seemed to know that the security guard was looking at the cameras at him. It was such an intense moment of one of the animatronics knowing what you're doing and I really dig that!

Then in FNAF 2 he had his withered appearance which is so sick and terrifying to look at! The design is so cool. I don't really care for Toy Bonnie all that much, but I don't really enjoy any of the toy animatronics either.

Then with Security Breach, Glamrock Bonnie is a mystery! He's gone but his absence is felt with Freddy and around the Pizzaplex, then there's the theories about how he disappeared and why. That really scratches an itch in my brain that only FNAF can really do.

My understanding of him as a character is that he's a confident musician (guitar or bass), laid back, and friendly. I picture him as a cool guy who makes a wisecrack or two and deadpans a joke. He'll tease and ruffle feathers good-naturedly (unless it's Monty) but he is often unbothered and easygoing. He loves to help the kids bowl and sees to it that everyone gets their favorite ice cream flavors. Everything he does looks effortless and easy, especially on stage. He's close friends with Freddy and gets along well with the rest of the band except for Monty. Bonnie doesn't like how hungry Monty looks when he's eyeing Freddy's mic.

I have a lot of thoughts about Mxes because yes, his design is so cool and his role in Ruin has me in a chokehold but I'm gonna hold onto those until I can do something more productive with them hehe

As of right now, only 3. I deleted a bunch of them and one has been orphaned.

423,837. The fic that I orphaned a few months ago would've doubled that.

Right now, Fnaf. I have also written for Assassin's Creed, Cyberpunk 2077, MCU, DBZ, Dragon Age and The Walking Dead.

99% of the time, yes. I do forget sometimes but I really wanna show my appreciation to those who take the time to leave a comment by responding and thanking them.

6 – What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Skip, I don't do angsty endings. Angsty stories, absolutely, but the ending has gotta be a happy one.

7 – What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Well considering I've never actually finished a fic this is hard to answer, but for plenty of them I do have endings figured out. Makes it hard to talk about it due to spoilers and what-not.

8 – Do you get hate on fics?

Yeah it's happened. I delete their comments, block 'm and go on with my day, happy in the knowledge that while I'm not perfect, at least I'm not a pathetic troll hiding behind anonymity to make myself feel better ^-^

9 – Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I used to write a lot of smut, always m/m. It's fairly rare for me to write nowadays but I'm not ruling it out.

10 – Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

None of them have really been all that crazy, some crossovers work out surprisingly well! I love it when they do.

11 – Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yup.

12 – Have you ever had a fic translated?

Also yup. Most of the time the person behind it asked for permission so I was cool with it, but I've also found a translation or two of that one orphaned fic that was done without my knowing about it.

13 – Have you ever co-written a fic?

All of my work is co-written (with the exception of one CP2077 one-shot and my current DCA AUs). I am big on one-on-one fandom RP, I love building a story with someone else and have our characters interact. It's one of my favorite things to do. Still hoping to find a someone to write DCA stories with one day.

14 – What's your all-time favorite ship?

Impossible to answer.

15 – What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

... all of them.

16 – What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, both spoken dialogue as well as a character's inner thoughts. Also action/fighting scenes.

17 – What are your writing weaknesses?

Describing surroundings and appearances.

18 – Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Again the orphaned fic, it had a lot of characters from different countries so while everyone spoke English, those characters did tend to slip every so often. Mostly French and Italian, all done through google translate because I don't speak either lol.

And in most of the DBZ fics I used a fan-made language for saiyans that I borrowed words from.

19 – First fandom you wrote for?

Medabots. This was like... 2001 or something, I finally got access to internet around that time and the first online friend I made I also started writing stories with. Medabots was one of the most popular anime on tv in that time so yeah.

20 – Favorite fic you've written?

Uh... again that's gotta be the orphaned fic. It's certainly the biggest I've ever (co) written and it was a ton of fun as well as the most popular fic I've ever written. And the longest too! At one point in time it was the second longest fic in the entire Assassin's Creed section on AO3. Good times.

Man at this point I can't see sun and moon connected to FNAF. The fandom has taken em, changed them, added stuff, etc. With AU's so detached that they are no longer really recognisable as the same character. This is actually something I like don't get me wrong. I just find it cool that the people of the free FNAF hath seized the means of Sun&Moon production. Bravo.

The skrunklies have breached containment and are now finding a new purpose in the world djfgh

But in all seriousness, ye i don’t really mind it either tbh! They had so much potential but were terribly underutilzed in sb (Sun especially) but in a way it ended up working out for the best as i highly doubt they would have developed such a dedicated fandom if they had been used more ingame.

What little info SB did give us on the boys turns out was more than enough for people to really build upon and expand the two into fully fleshed characters with complex backstory and personality!

And i love how we’re all swapping headcanons and ideas around and all of them are just as valid as the other because there is practically nothing in canon to really say otherwise and all the au’s popping up left and right not to mention the y/n content which is beautiful because it allows for people of all types and orientations to insert themselves or their own oc’s into the bots lives and give them a story to be told and aaaa-

It’s just - it’s so heckin nice and peaceful in the dca fandom too which is amazing considering what i’ve heard about the main fnaf fandom and its toxicity. So ye i’m really happy that the DCA brought together this super chill and creative community that share a love for the blorbos and want to provide for them the content Steel Wool did not wish to give them, and i hope it continues to last <3

1. How did you get here?

That is a great question. Honestly I feel like I stumbled ass first into this fandom and now I'm just kind of here to stay for a while.

2. Why these characters in particular? What was the hook for you?

I think the hook for me personally was the fact that the DCA is, in essence, a caretaker, which oddly enough called out to the inner child in me.

3. How long have you been here?

In this fandom specifically? Only a few months at this point.

4. Have you actually played FNAF sb?

Yes and it was a frustrating ordeal. I got lost multiple times because the map was absolutely useless and at times I got confused as to what my next objective was. But I did manage to eventually get to 6am.

5. If you make content what is your favorite piece you've contributed?

My favorite so far that I've contributed personally is my AO3 fic, The Daycare Attendant's Little Assistant, where you the reader are a kid who befriends the DCA. It takes place before the events of Security Breach and just has a lot of wholesome fun as well as some hurt/comfort.

6. What's your favorite sort of art or fic? What genre/flavor/style?

I love me some wholesome content. Give me all of the hurt/comfort and warm fuzzies.

7. What's your favorite au?

There is this one Cowboy Au that looks like a lot of fun. I believe it's by @castercassette .

This may be a little biased but I'm rather attached to my y/n from TDALA. They are just so grumpy and salty about life (for reasons) and they do not start off on the right foot with Sun and Moon at first.

I know I'm probably in the minority on this but I absolutely love Sun and Moon's canonical appearance. It's the perfect blend of creepy and whimsical, a combination I enjoy playing with when writing them.

A combination of things. One of which being the there are a lot of fun and awesome people I've met through this fandom in just the short time that I've been here, but there's also a lot of fun and creative stuff to he had here. And there are no shortages of lore and theories revolving around these two.

11. Be honest: if you had to pick only one, sun or moon?

I cannot put into words how much I hate being asked this. But fine, gun to my head I would probably pick Sun because he's the one least likely to kill me.

12. Thoughts on eclipse?

Again, I feel like I'm in the minority on this when I say that I really don't have strong feelings towards Eclipse. Cool concept, the art surrounding him is pretty neat, but that's about it.

So many. And the fun part is I get to explore them in my fic. Before the glitch, Sun is a lot more put together. He still has his overly zealous tendencies but a lot less of the anxiety and clingyness we see in game.

14. Thoughts on pre-glitch Moon?

Another fun concept that gets explored in my story. Moon has always been a bit of a gremlin, but he plays into it for fun. He's fully aware that kids find him slightly more unsettling than Sun but he tries not to let it bother him and instead uses that to his advantage.

15. Do you interpret sun and moon as two sides of the same person, or truly two separate beings in one body? Does it matter?

Oh I absolutely believe that Sun and Moon are two different personalities in one body and good luck trying to convince me otherwise. I don't know, I just think it's more fun that way.

16. What's something in the fandom you like to see more of?

I always love seeing new theories, not just about the DCA but security breach as a whole. The FNAF franchise is fun but dang do they just love to leave things vague and leave it to the fans to pick apart everything.

17. What's something in the fandom you'd like to see less of?

NSFW content. This is merely a personal preference and no judgment to those who do enjoy it.

18. Anything you're looking forward to?

The DLC as well as the upcoming series of books featuring The Pizza Plex.

19. Do you think you'd actually get along with the DCA if you met them irl?

Oh, absolutely. I would probably have to take Sun in small doses because I'm just eternally tired, although who knows maybe he could just spot me a few Sundrop candies and I'd be fine. And if Moon is willing to help me sleep (like just night time sleep and not the eternal kind) then we'll be best friends forever.

I'm really glad I joined this fandom. I've been having a lot of fun so far and it's gotten me back into writing and drawing two things that I both agonize over and find a lot of joy and comfort in. I hope to make more friends and fun times while I'm here.

1. I actually make different ocs for different fandoms lol. I'll share 3 for examples. Cindy, I made her for The Promised Neverland. Angelica, I made her for Deltarune (and possibly Undertale). And Sherylnn, I made her for FNAF (specifically for the DCA)!

2. My first oc was Ocean, she was started out as a sona but quickly became just an oc. She went through a drastic change in character design lol.

Toshio because he lives in a weird world, but he almost never uses his powers because there's almost never a need for them, Sheila because, well, that's my sona so she will have control over everything, and Unnamed because she's a diety, almost like a goddess, and she doesn't care what she uses her power for, good or bad, if it's what she wants then she'll do it.

Hi Spacie! Just curious about some of your thoughts about some of the other fnaf characters. Obviously you like the DCA and Springtrap, but are there others from the fnaf franchise that you like?

yes! actually b4 springtrap my favorite character(s) were all three chicas from the first two games! obviously i also like glamrock freddy lmao, if it wasnt obvious enough from that one post i made where i screamed abt how hot i thought he was X) oh and also glamrock chica and roxy! obviously i like chica cuz shes always been my fave and roxanne....well. i am gay.

i like all the animatronics from the first game actually. they are all neat ta me for diff reasons. same w/the animatronics in fnaf 2. after fnaf 3 (besides security breach) there arent any animatronics that particularly stand out ta me. i remember i exclusively drew toy chica for a while back when i was 12 and when i got back inta fnaf via security breach toy chica was the first character i drew again!

Yo, what’s good!

I have been writing fiction since I was in middle school, starting on the site that was known as Shelfari (before Goodreads ate it). There were several RPG groups that I was a part of, and the writing community there was a joy to create with. I have tried my hand at writing stories on my own before now, but I have only recently become depressed enough to throw myself fully into writing as an emotional outlet (I’m enjoying every minute of it). I cannot promise that there will be no mistakes in my writing, but hopefully, you will still enjoy the stories that are under the mistakes (I am dyslexic, and so I will use the wrong word here and there, and my spelling may be incorrect at times). I want to share my stories in the hopes that others will find the bits that I enjoyed writing as fun as I found them when I wrote them (and when I reread them) ((and then reread them again)).

Jesters and Dragons -The main character is the 4th princess of a large kingdom. Her younger brother, the golden child, is gifted two magical construct jesters modeled after the sun and moon on his 14th birthday. While wishing that they had been gifted to her instead, the main character ends up running into the jesters at every turn, turning her into a blushing stuttering mess as they flirt shamelessly with her. Fluffy fluff fluff fluff. With a smidge of angst.

Monster in the Sea- Sun and Moon are human and go by Solaris and Lucien. The MC is a water dragon. Water dragon reader finds Sun and Moon lost at sea during a storm

Saying a super-duper large community is "ruining the experience for everyone else," where there are also some people in the tags clearly distressed that they now feel like they're bad or annoying everyone, because they tag a character with the video game its from, isn't rude 🙃

(and let's be honest, yeah they're sexymen on par with the onceler, but we also all know, intuitively, that those are used as insults, particularly with the context of an OP who doesn't like them- is that not rude? to tell artists their "twinks" are ruining a tag?)

(coupled with the elitist "you only like FNAF for DCA and don't know about the other lore, thus you shouldn't even be here" meme...??? was that meant to be.. polite?)

It's okay to say something is annoying or hard for you to do (it did take 6 tags in my blacklist to remove 80% of the DCA content from the fnaf tag, but not an impossible task).. but DCA clogging the tags isn't morally reprehensible, it's not as if this were some icky nasty thing people need to separate from the main tag like a NSFW tag or an extreme NSFW trope.. it's a popular character from a video game being tagged as that video game, and you don't like it because it's not your favorite character.

People are thinking they're ruining everyone's fun because you said they were and because they've tagged a character with the game it comes from. It's a goofy thing to instill anxiety into people over... "it annoys me, specifically" just isn't a good or kind reason to tell people they're ruining everyone's fun and making them feel shitty over it.

When ultimatley requesting a specific tag won't work because they're are way too many artists into the DCA, you will have to learn to use all those tags for your blacklist, and it will be more helpful to you than just praying thousands of people already 1+ yr set in their current tags agree to use 1 specific tag. Bunch of different suggestions in the tags already- no one is going to agree on the same one. A camel is a horse designed by committee. Big applause for everyone, now instead of 1 new special tag to block, we have 3.

So, to help, here's the tags you need to blacklist to remove the large majority of the DCA content: Daycare Attendant, The Daycare Attendant, DCA, Sundrop, Moondrop, fnaf sun, fnaf moon, sun fnaf, moon fnaf. If you want to be extra, include fnaf moondrop, fnaf sundrop, moondrop fnaf, sundrop fnaf.

I know it's a lot. But I guarantee the community at large is not going to start using one specific tag just for you or a handful of others in agreement. You'll get a couple dozen at most. DCA is just too big, and you will be disappointed. No, that list of tags won't clear out all the AUs not tagged with them. But you won't pass away if you see a few unfiltered. It's the best you are going to get, realistically. If the community were new, or very small, yes, a special brand new tag would be the simplest and a realistic solution. But because it's so big and over a year old and the tags are all already set it's just not going to work, and all it does is make a few anxious people feel bad for something that isn't even a moral issue.

(Though, if your main gripe is not seeing enough balloon boy, idk how to tell you but... the FNAF tag is alllll Security Breach. You've got more to worry about than the DCA clogging your favorite tag...)

I agree with your post about the sun/moon AUs clogging- On top of that, I think you should make a poll to see how many people are actually part of the fnaf fandom and how many are just here for the sun/moon AUs. I've seen posts defending the clogging just because sun and moon are fnaf characters but if you're looking for content that's just about them, there's like 20+ tags that are JUST FOR THEM. There's maybe 10 tags that are for fnaf (ie. Fnaf. Fnaf fanart. Five Nights at Freddy's.) in general and then the tags for the individual fnaf games. (ie. Fnaf SB. Fnaf SL. etc) WE can't block all the content that's centered around sun and moon if they put it in the fnaf general tag

As a fnaf fan watching this "sun and moon fandom" expand to the size that it has has been scary and exhausting and the posts related to this fandom are almost comically ridiculous. I once saw extensive sketches for monster anatomy thinking it was for the artists original world only to see it tagged as a sun and moon au.

Be honest. What do these aus have to do with fnaf. What right do they have to be in the main tags. Why does your cowboy vampire mermaid sun and moon au relate to the franchise about dead kids and robots that other people are in the tags to see? This is LITERALLY the onceler fandom. You have remade the onceler fandom. That's what you did.

I understand that gate keeping is bad. But you MUST see this from the perspective of dedicated fans who care about characters other than your celestial sexymen. You are flooding a tag for a very expansive fandom with nothing but a million unrelated aus about two unimportant characters for the sole purpose of self shipping. Yeah, you're having fun but you shouldn't be letting your fun ruin the experiences of others. Not everyone is here for your twinks, I want to see the fucking balloon boy.

Nobody wants you to not have fun. You can do whatever the hell you want, but you must be considerate of your fellow fandom-mates. You are ruining the experience for everyone else and all you have to do is not tag it as fnaf, or better yet, have a universal tag that anyone can block.

That is why I propose this

All daycare attendant content (au or canon) should be tagged as "Eclipseverse"

This is a solution that can make everyone happy.

You can still tag your posts as fnaf if they are canon

This can make a catch all tag for sun/moon content instead of having a million tags for a single character

A single easy to block tag for fnaf fans who want nothing to do with it

I honestly don't know why we haven't attempted to do this yet but it's literally such a simple solution

Be considerate of your fellow fandom goers without giving up what you enjoy. Tag all daycare attendant content as #eclipseverse
