FOOR Folx Opening Reception

FOOR Folx: The Invisible Bridges Across Class and Consciousness Join artists and curators Adja Gildersleve, Anna Min, and Tina Cho in partnership with Min Enterprises Photography, LLC as we celebrate the opening of this new interactive visual arts exhibition featuring people, photography, film, and the written word to explore the experiences of FOrmerly poOR Folx. Guests will enjoy food, connect with artists, and view the new short documentary film Historically Robbed: Minneapolis, exploring the historical aspect of colonialism and capitalism, as it connects to socioeconomic status. What does it look like to live in between the lower, middle, and upper classes? What knowledge do FOOR Folx hold and where do they choose to apply it? How does being FOOR affect current and future ambitions? FOOR Folx inspires conversation around the often-taboo topics of class and class mobility, like the acquisition of wealth and privilege and its unseen effects on people’s personal lives, professional possibilities, and even entire communities over time. The goal is to leave audiences with an understanding of the maelstrom of identities and emotions that contribute to being FOOR, and how it has uniquely shaped the consciousness of the marginalized middle class. 안녕하세요 여러분!

I view selfcare as a form of productivity. I have a skincare routine I do nightly, I make sure I drink enough water and I try to get as much exercise as I (an art school student) can get.

This week was especially rough, but I’ve been pushing through. Tomorrow I have my two favorite classes and its also my roommate’s birthday! We are having a small party (probably just us lol)!

I hope the rest of the week is good for you all. Make sure you take care of yourself, your skin, body and mental health all matters and will help you study better. 😊
