Milwaukee Lakefront, Lincoln Memorial Drive just south of MooSa's - February 23, 2025

Finally was able to get a photo of this abandoned boat on the lakefront. Want to eventually try to get closer, but the rocks were a bit precarious with the snow on them. - Admin Jolly

the way the moon sighs when she speaks,

how the wind shifts just to touch her skin,

how every sunset feels unfinished

until it mirrors the fire in her eyes.

She walks, and the earth tilts,

leaning closer, breathless,

as if the ground itself fears the distance

between her footsteps and eternity.

Her laughter—

a sound so soft it could mend broken things,

so cruel it could break the unbroken,

so fleeting that I chase it like a man lost at sea

searching for land he will never reach.

She does not know

that my hands are empty without her,

that my heart is a book with missing pages,

that every love I’ve ever known

was only an echo of hers.

And if she never knows—

if the world keeps her blind to her own radiance,

then let me be the fool who spends forever

writing poems into the void,

just to prove she was here.

Spent the weekend with Aaron and my parents for my b-day.
