non story related ff14 question, what are the queue times like rn now that the general launch is out? i know i'm gonna buy and play dt eventually but i'm wondering if it would be worth it to wait until the hype cools off a lil >.>
I like how ive become reddit Google search. Actually great im on Primal which definitely helps but on weekdays i always log in and there’s like 30 people, most ive seen was 200 and that was on Saturday at prime everyone’s home time! big round of applause for square’s server team
#also though it launched today. To accurately answer this question would require me to travel into the future#or have logged on more than once today#iunno I logged on at 4 and there was a queue of 30! there’s a data point#ask#ffxiv#I think you could get in just fine. Getting into duties however. Maybe a different story#especially as a dps. Maybe pull up a YouTube video the lines are 20 minutes average at least for new dungeons#but then again I got in within a minute yesterday at like 1 pm so! Maybe you’ll grab someone doing roulette for leveling?

I'm not afraid to admit I cried a little bit when I was laying on the sidewalk temporarily stunned. and I kept crying while speed walking to the bus stop a few blocks away. that shit hurt so bad, on top of an already miserable morning.
#woke up on time. got dressed + ate and was ready to go with a solid half hour until I had to leave#so I decided to set an alarm for 20 minutes and be warm and cozy in bed instead of risking flashbacks by sitting on the couch#however sleep me (asshole. I suspect its the same part that has caused issues like this before) turned off the alarm when it rang#and fell asleep again#I woke up with barely enough time to make it to the bus stop#and then I fucking fell! everything hurts!#I was late for class and couldn't log in because my instructor shares her screen which can't be moved from the login screen.#which was completely covered#and she straight up said that I could “just watch” and to suck it up (the latter was said differently but that was the gist)#just watching a practical skill demo is useless! I couldn't even take notes because those are all in a document I needed to log in to access#so. yeah. its sucked today. it's sucked so badly#one of my friends felt so bad for me that she bought me lunch because she wanted to do something nice for me ;-;#it was. by the way. incredible. the cafeteria + kitchen staff make some really tasty shit#today it was. a rose sauce over risotto + arugula + roast beef#easily the fanciest thing I've eaten in recent memory. the portioning was generous as well and it was just. holy shit#I forget that I do actually enjoy “real food” when it's not prepared by my mother with an undiagnosed ED who kind of forced her ED onto us#the longer I am free of her the more willing to try “healthy” food I am becoming. healthy food doesn't inherently taste bad.#it's a lesson that's taking time but I'm getting braver#anyways. that was a highlight for the day. it's not even 1 PM yet.#I also got praise from an instructor for answering a theory question in a way she hadn't heard from a student before and was impressed with#so that was also nice.#I'm home now and I'm gonna try to loosen the muscles around my left tm joint so it'll eventually go back in#if my jaw is still out like this tomorrow.. I'll have to get medical attention. this happening after so many years of my jaw behaving#bodes ill for the frequency of future subluxations#🥴🔫

work pissing me the fuck offfff bro
#for the sake of brevity my day was going to be leave home in my car at 9:30. start 10:00. stay with them as social support for 3 hours.#maybe have some lunch with them or right after depending. drive 20 or so minutes to pick someone up at 2:00#technically it is rostered as 2:30 but they usually finish earlier lately. drive them home which takes around 25 mins. then drive another 20#to do a clean at 3ish for roughly an hr to 1.5 hrs. then drive home for 20-30 minutes. that was going to be my day#these fuckwits decide at 9:25 to message me that there is a roster change. I now have to go somewhere inbetween 1:00 and 2:30 for an hour#long clean. which is also 20 minutes away from my first client. then drive another 20 or even 30 minutes to pick the person up. followed#by the next person. I call them to say hey can you at least tell the transport client because they might be waiting an extra hour than they#expect to. this person is 91 years old by the way. they say oh yeah I will text them. I say could you try call to let them know? they say#the same thing again. on top of this it's just super fucking annoying#I'm also meant to have an hour lunch break as per my roster agreement. tell me where you see any possible gap between 9:30 and basically#5 fucking pm where I could even have ten minutes to myself. thankfully my first client is pretty easy going so I'll have some lunch then#I suppose. that is besides the point though#plus I get like... a few dollars above what is the Australian minimum wage per hour#anyway I'm so sick of this shit they did this yesterday too. multiple times over the last two months and tbh most of last year too
