La Sensomotricidad y la psicomotricidad en la infancia son conceptos clave en el desarrollo de los niños a lo largo de la vida.

Sensomotricidad:  se refiere a la interacción entre los sentidos y el movimiento. En la infancia, los niños desarrollan habilidades sensoriales (vista, oído, tacto) y habilidades motoras (movimiento y coordinación) que les permiten explorar su entorno y relacionarse con él. El desarrollo de la Sensomotricidad es esencial para adquirir habilidades cognitivas y sociales.

Las habilidades sensoriales: se refieren a la capacidad del cuerpo para percibir y procesar la información sensorial del entorno. Estas habilidades involucran los cinco sentidos principales: vista, oído, tacto, gusto y olfato. Estas habilidades desempeñan un papel crucial en la percepción y la interacción con el entorno, así como en la toma de decisiones y la comprensión del mundo que nos rodea. El desarrollo y el funcionamiento adecuado de estas habilidades son esenciales para la vida cotidiana y la comunicación.

1. Vista: La habilidad de ver y procesar información visual, como la percepción de colores, formas, distancias y movimientos.

2. Oído: La capacidad de escuchar y procesar sonidos, distinguir tonos, direcciones y reconocer el habla.

3. Tacto: Incluye la capacidad de sentir y procesar texturas, temperaturas, presión y dolor a través de la piel y las terminaciones nerviosas.

4. Gusto: La habilidad de saborear y distinguir diferentes sabores, como dulce, salado, amargo, ácido y umami.

5. Olfato: Implica la percepción y el procesamiento de olores a través del sistema olfativo.

Las habilidades motoras: se refieren a la habilidad de una persona para realizar movimientos físicos de manera precisa y coordinada. Estas implican la interacción armoniosa de los sistemas musculares y nerviosos para llevar a cabo movimientos específicos. El desarrollo de estas es fundamental en el crecimiento y el aprendizaje de los niños. A medida que los niños practican y perfeccionan estas habilidades, adquieren un mayor control sobre su cuerpo y mejoran su capacidad para realizar actividades cotidianas y participar en diversas actividades físicas y deportivas.

1. Coordinación motora fina: Esta habilidad implica movimientos pequeños y precisos, como escribir, dibujar, abrochar botones o recortar con tijeras. Requiere un control fino de los músculos y una coordinación precisa.

2. Coordinación motora gruesa: Se refiere a movimientos más grandes que involucran grupos musculares más grandes, como correr, saltar, nadar o andar en bicicleta. La coordinación motora gruesa es esencial para la movilidad y el equilibrio.

3. Coordinación ojo-mano: Esta capacidad implica la sincronización entre la vista y el movimiento de las manos. Es fundamental en actividades como atrapar una pelota, lanzar un dardo o ensartar cuentas en un hilo.

4. Coordinación bilateral: La habilidad de coordinar movimientos con ambos lados del cuerpo, como tocar un instrumento musical con ambas manos o caminar de manera equilibrada.

5. Coordinación temporal: Implica la capacidad de realizar movimientos en el momento adecuado, como bailar al ritmo de la música o ejecutar movimientos sincronizados en un deporte.

2.Psicomotricidad: es una disciplina que se enfoca en la relación entre el aspecto emocional, cognitivo y motor de un niño. Busca comprender cómo las emociones, la cognición y el movimiento se integran en el desarrollo infantil. La psicomotricidad se utiliza para evaluar y mejorar la coordinación, la percepción y la expresión emocional.

 La evolución psicomotriz de niños y niñas se basa principalmente en la maduración neurológica, donde el desarrollo de los órganos sensoriales va de la mano con el motor. Comienza con movimientos básicos y progresa hacia conductas motrices principales, que a su vez facilitan movimientos más complejos en juegos y deportes. La percepción del entorno desde una edad temprana ayuda a construir esquemas mentales y contribuye al desarrollo cognitivo. El crecimiento, la maduración, el ambiente y el desarrollo son aspectos clave en este proceso.

Las capacidades motrices, también conocidas como psicomotrices o psicomotrices básicas, tienen diversas clasificaciones en la literatura especializada. Las diferencias principales radican en los términos utilizados y en su traducción al castellano.

Las capacidades motrices, principalmente influenciadas por la corriente psicomotriz, están estrechamente relacionadas con los procesos cognitivos, especialmente con la percepción. La percepción del medio que rodea al alumno, desde muy pequeño, le ayuda a construir esquemas mentales de su entorno más inmediato, su exploración será posible gracias al desarrollo del movimiento y conllevará la adquisición de capacidades que darán lugar al desarrollo cognitivo (Tamarit, 2016). Este parte de los movimientos básicos (postura, desplazamiento, manipulación de objetos, etc.) para llegar a las principales conductas motrices (marcha, carrera, saltos, recepción, lanzamiento, etc.), los cuales desencadenan y facilitan los movimientos más complejos propios de los juegos y deportes (Gil, 2003). Uno de sus componentes es el esquema corporal, que se refiere al conocimiento global e inmediato de nuestro propio cuerpo en relación con el espacio y los objetos que nos rodean, entre estas habilidades motrices básicas está caminar, correr, saltar, escalar, trepar.

Su evolución se basa en leyes fundamentales del desarrollo psicomotor, como la ley cefalocaudal, la ley próximo-distal, la ley de flexores-extensores y la ley de lo general a lo específico. En su evolución se pueden distinguir tres grandes periodos, siendo el primero de 0 a 3 años donde el niño aún no discrimina entre el yo y el mundo.

a) Habilidades Perceptivo-Motrices. Son propias del comienzo de la etapa Infantil y han sido estudiadas, mayoritariamente, por la corriente psicomotriz.

2.- Lateralidad. Es el predominio de un hemisferio cerebral sobre el otro y es un componente muy significativo del Esquema Corporal. Su proceso evolutivo se divide en cuatro fases, (Sassano, 2015).

• 1ª Fase: Localización (3 años).

 • 2ª Fase: Fijación (4-5 años).

• 3ª Fase: Desarrollo (6-8 años)

 • 4ª Fase: Maduración y Ambidextrismo (a partir de 8-10 años)

3.- Estructuración Espacial. Es la capacidad de distinguir y ubicar personas y objetos en un espacio tridimensional (Pastor, 1994). Su evolución va paralela a la maduración corporal.

4.- Estructuración Temporal. Durante la etapa primaria, niñas y niños irán pasando de la percepción temporal inmediata a la posibilidad de representar mentalmente estructuras rítmicas de complejidad creciente que constituyen el soporte de los aprendizajes motores con representación mental (Fernández García -coord-, 2002).

5.- Ritmo. El ritmo viene dado por la organización temporal de las secuencias del movimiento.

En resumen, tanto la Sensomotricidad como la psicomotricidad son fundamentales en el crecimiento de los niños, ya que influyen en su capacidad para explorar el mundo, aprender, comunicarse y desarrollarse de manera integral.

The History of Loki’s Genderfluidity in Marvel!

Loki’s genderfluid identity within the Marvel universe actually comes from ancient Norse mythology from the time of the vikings, over a thousand years ago. There are Norse myths that describe that, while the god of chaos was born male, he presents himself as both male and female, and uses his shapeshifting powers to transform himself into a woman, such as the time when Loki posed as a handmaiden, and also spent several years in a female form and bore children. The myths refer to him as both a mother and a father.

While Loki presenting as both male and female dates all the way back to Norse Mythology, there wasn't a moment in Marvel comics where Loki seriously spoke about his gender identity until 2014, a whole 52 years after his first appearance in Marvel Comics (and 65 years after his first appearance in Timely Comics).

However, while Loki's female form didn't become an express part of his identity until 2014, traces of his genderfluidity still existed in Marvel comics, even if it wouldn't be expanded upon until much later. In fact, the first appearance of Loki in a female form was back in 1993 in Thor Annual #18, when Loki briefly transforms into a woman.

We see this form again 14 years later in December of 2007, in a Thor comic run that takes place after Ragnarok and all the Asgardians have been reborn, and Loki has been reborn into Sif's body. This comic run is also where the name “Lady Loki” became popularized.

And while there is a brief conversation had by the Warriors Three discussing Loki's gender identity, there still wouldn't be a comic that states this form as a part of his identity for another seven years.

Agent of Asgard, a Loki-centered comic series released in 2014, is a huge moment in Loki's genderfluidity. This is when we really start to see Loki refer his female form as a true part of himself, as first seen in issue #2.

We see this form again in issue #5, where Loki once again describes this form as not just something he can just transform into.

The term “genderfluid” falls under the trans umbrella, which includes any identity that involves you identifying as something different than what you were assigned at birth. While we still have a long way to go in terms of trans representation in the media, Loki being firmly cemented as a trans character within the Marvel universe is a huge step in the right direction.

Loki is very vocal about identifying as male, and female, and sometimes neither. He doesn't care if you don't get it, or think it's weird. It makes perfect sense to him, and that's all that matters. And he refuses to change his identity for anyone.

me when i'm bored and start deducing ace attorney characters' birthdays from the court record and dates of the cases

*assumes if someone (other than the victim) appears in a case their birthday doesn't happen during that case. birthday ranges are given with as few contradictions as possible

canon birthdays for reference: - dustin prince: september 6th 1987 (murdered on his birthday) - rayfa padma khura'in: december 24th 2013, aka almost christmas (birthdate used to open a safe)

deduced birthday ranges:

phoenix is the only character with a non-canon exact birthdate: october 10 1992. he tells maya he's 24 during 1-3 (oct 16-20 2016) and his profile says he's 33 during the 2026 part of 4-4 (oct 7-9 2026). since he ages 9 years but 4-4 is 10 years after 1-3 the only date possible where this can happen without his birthday happening during the case is october 10. this means he's 23 during 1-1 and 1-2 and 35 during 5-4 and 5-5, despite the court record saying he's 34.

miles has the next shortest range: september 1-4 1992. he's 24 during 1-2 (sep 5-9 2016) and 25 during 2-4 (mar 20-23 2018) so the range is march 24-september 4 1992. to have him in the same school year as phoenix i narrowed it down to the first days of september. this means his age during aa5 and 6-dlc is incorrect.

larry's is pretty easy to find out: he ages 1 year between i1-5 and i2-3 so the range is march 18-april 1 1993. this makes his age during 6-dlc incorrect, though.

iirc aa1 states that dl-6 happens when the above three are in fourth grade (2001), but due to their ages they would be in third grade in the us system.

maya is march 24-june 15 1999. she was 18 during aa2 (jun 16 2017-march 23 2018). this means she is 29 during 6-dlc, not 28, and she could have celebrated her birthday with phoenix in khura'in.

pearl is may 18-jun 15 2009. she was 8 during 2-2 (jun 16-22 2017) and 18 during 6-5 (may 16-17 2028). this means she was 18 during 5-dlc, not 17. also i'm not american but i think schools normally graduate in june over there and 5-dlc was in july, so she should have already graduated senior year by then.

i think ema is the only character from the original trilogy whose age didn't get fucked up after the seven year gap, but the downside is her birthday range spans two years: october 10 2000-february 21 2001. she was 16 during 1-5 (feb 22-25 2017) and 25 during 4-4 (oct 7-9 2026).

ok i know ema says she'll be "turning 16 this year" which implies she's 15 during 1-5 but the court record says she's 16. i went with the court record because it creates less problems and doesn't contradict the fact that she's in junior high.

lightning round for everyone else with deduced birthday ranges in one year! a lot of people's birthday ranges span across two years, so these people age a year less than the timeskip between the years suggest (e.g gumshoe ages 1 year between 2-2 and investigations, despite them being 2 years apart)

ho ho ho! it's the middle of november! that means, once again, it's time for the secret santa! last year went off without a hitch (if you just ignore how my main was shadowbanned for sending out the giftee assignments, which caused me to finally make a side blog lol), so i'm back once again with this event i've happily hosted since 2016.

hate to beat a dead horse because this is the same shtick as last year and the year prior, but i'll be tremendously busy in december. i will be more hands off and ask that all participants follow the timeline. without further ado, here's the timeline along with the rules!

TIMELINE

the application will be open from 11/15/24 starting at 4:00 P.M. PST and close on 11/25/24 at 11:59 P.M. PST. if you miss the sign up period, please message me immediately because i will begin pairing people up promptly.

between 11/27/24 through 11/29/24, i will send out giftee information to the account/username (twitter or tumblr only) that was provided, so please keep your eye on your dms. if i can’t reach you on tumblr, i’ll send an ask asking you to open your messages to everyone. that way, i can pass along your giftee to you.

as always, 12/15/24 is the check-in day. i will be going around messaging people asking for progress updates. this doesn’t have any specification as people work differently, so if you haven’t started, that’s also fine. it just helps me know where people are in their progress, or if they might need an extension. if you want to reach out first, that helps me mark you down faster!

The March 14 2023 live. Where Jungkook started the live at 8:11 KST (cough 8/11 cough). The same live where he teased Jimin's SMF pt2 reminding us all that something amazing is gonna come up at midnight. It was White Day in SK.

On Dec 27 2023 we see Jimin wearing the Nike Swoosh Black Jacket along with a black beanie in BTS Monuments Beyond The Star

Jimin was in self quarantine at the time. So, its from Dec 14 2021. We get to know about the date from Jimin's phone screen and also from his conversation with Hoseok the same day

Now let me do a brief recap of Jungkook's Dec 8 2023 live.

When Jungkook starts the live, we see him walking home. He's going home after his workout. He talks about Bam (cause there was a rude comment asking him if he abandoned Bam), how he adopted Bam, took him home and cared for him, about Bam's training center, how he often visits Bam there and brings him home whenever he can. It is during this live that he hints that maybe Bam will have an IG in the future.

He sings songs for ARMY. Complains about the sweat. And changes his outfit to a purple hoodie just 15 mins before the live ends.

Now let's talk about the second part of your ask. About Jikook's conversation in Japan

Jikook got their first snow of this year in SK on Nov 27 2024.

When I saw Bam in this outfit I immediately thought of Jikook twinning on Valentine's Day in 2017

So, I think when the first snow fell in SK Jungkook was reminiscing about his time with Jimin in Sapporo. And also about Bam. His cute family of 3.

According to SK tradition, if you experience the first snow with the person you like, it will lead to a long lasting true love between the two. Because of this many couples promise to meet each other at a certain place to enjoy the first snow and hope for their love to be eternal.

BTS did this interview on Dec 2017. Here, Jimin said that his wish was to see the first snow every year.

And he did. He did it with Jungkook on Jan 8 2018. Their first snow together as a couple (that we know of). Maybe they had watched it before too but this was the only one they shared with us till now. They let us in on their cute, romantic moment

When asked about their favorite weather:

This sweet, romantic moment where Jungkook wakes up, climbs the mountain, brings snow with him and gifts it to Jimin cause he knows Jimin loves snow. And we see Jimin being worried about Jungkook feeling cold. Both of them always thinking about the other

He's wearing the same watch he wore during his Sept 1 2023 live. The 1997 model watch, which was set to Jungkook's birth time when he started the live (I love that moment so much. Its so romantic and loud. There's no other explanation to why he did that other than the most obvious one which is proudly showing his love for Jungkook).

Jikook had so much fun in Sapporo, enjoying each other's company, creating memories to take back home with them

Did Jungkook post those 2 pics intentionally on the same day when the first snow fell in SK?

When we (jkks) saw those 2 pics our mind immediately went to Jikook, right? Because in the first pic of Jungkook with Bam, Jungkook's jacket is the same as the one Jimin was also seen wearing (including the black beanie). The second pic is the one where Bam's wearing a green and grey jacket. Again, Jikook were seen twinning in green and grey jackets on Valentine's Day.

So, is it all a coincidence?

In my opinion Jikook and the word coincidence don't go hand in hand. Cause once, twice or even thrice can be considered a coincidence. But when it comes to Jimin and Jungkook its not a coincidence but a consistent pattern of their choices.

We have seen the whole Jikook sharing/ matching clothes, accessories saga, right? They even did it during their Solo Era. So, I'm not gonna share all that here since most of you would have already seen it. But I'll share some which looks really interesting:

1) Jimin wearing Jungkook's old T-shirt in Hoseok's bday live

2) After Jungkook uploaded GCF Tokyo an Army commented under the official BH tweet asking Jimin if he's dating Jungkook and if he is then to post a selca with glasses. After 3 days Jimin uploads a video where he is seen wearing the same green hoodie which Jungkook wore during their Tokyo trip, with a glasses filter on. He captions it "glasses"

3) Jikook in denim shirts. They looked and acted so couple coded here that Namjoon asked them if they were dating to which neither of them responds nor denies it

4) BTS pic with TXT where Jikook are wearing matching black outfits along with the hats

5) Jikook in couple pajamas for LGO MV. Jungkook wanted it to be as realistic as possible. And thats why there were seen sharing a room together cause thats what they have been doing in real life. Sharing a room, a home and being a couple

6) Jikook's color coordinated outfits for AYS Sapporo (Black & beige and Grey)

7) The staff had already prepared pajama sets for them, which can be seen on the bed but they chose to wear the couple pajama sets they brought with them

8) Jimin wearing Jungkook's sweater to bed in Winter Package

Jikook knows very well that we catch on to the hints and clues they keep dropping here and there.

So, I don't think we are delusional if we connected the pics Jungkook uploaded today to Jikook. Cause I think that's exactly what Jungkook was hinting at. And Jungkook himself said that when its gonna snow during their ms he would recall the moment he shared with Jimin during their Sapporo trip.

But add to it Bam too cause he's also a part of their family. So, when it snowed today in SK Jungkook's thoughts were filled with Jimin and Bam. His small, precious family.

His 1979 book Archosauria: A New Look at the Old Dinosaur featured an unusual interpretation of ceratopsian dinosaurs' characteristic bony frills, proposing that they were actually muscle attachment sites for both powerful jaw muscles and enormous back muscles to help hold up their large heavy heads. This would have completely buried the frill under soft tissue, giving the animals massive thick necks and humped shoulders, and resulted in an especially weird reconstruction of Triceratops with a grotesque sort of wrinkly sewn-together appearance.

This concept didn't entirely originate from McLoughlin – three years earlier in 1976 he'd illustrated Ronald Paul Ratkevich's book Dinosaurs of the Southwest, which seems to have been the inspiration for Archosauria's fleshy-frilled ceratopsians. A few paleontologists had also proposed jaw muscles attaching onto the frills during the 1930s and 1950s, and there's even a book from as far back as 1915 that also shows the top of a Triceratops' frill connected to its back! But McLoughlin's Archosauria image is still by far the most extreme and infamous version of the idea.

There were a lot of things in Archosauria that were actually very forward-thinking for the time period, such as putting fuzz and feathers on small theropods and depicting non-avian dinosaurs as active fast-moving animals. The unique ceratopsian reconstructions, however, never caught on for several big reasons:

Firstly, all that hefty muscle tissue would have locked ceratopsians' heads firmly in place, unable to move at all, which just doesn't make sense biomechanically. Then there was the lack of skeletal evidence – muscles that big should have left huge visible attachment scars all over the frill bones, and there was no sign of anything like that on any fossil specimens. Finally, it turns out the ceratopsian head-neck joint was actually highly mobile, suggesting their heads were free to make a wide range of motions in life.

As wrong as they were even at the time, McLoughlin's ceratopsians were still an interesting speculative idea, and notable for advocating for fleshier dinosaur reconstructions at a time when paleoart was trending towards shrinkwrapping.

This is not meant to be a comprehensive list of every appearance, but a walkthrough of what you need to read to understand Wanda's lore, history, and personal life events. I also have a breakdown of the Maximoff's powers and an explanation of their parentage and ethnic background. [This is an updated + condensed version of this post-- the formatting is messed up and I can't edit it, so I made a new one]

X-Men Vol 1 #4-11 (1964)-- Wanda & Pietro's first appearance as teenage mutants & Brotherhood members.

Avengers Vol 1 #16-27 (1965-66)-- The twins join the Avengers. Known as the "kooky quartet" era.

Avengers Vol 1 #91-108 (1971-72) -- Wanda begins a romantic relationship with Vision

Avengers Vol 1 #128-133 (1974)-- Wanda meets Agatha Harkness and begins studying witchcraft.

Giant-Size Avengers #1-4 (1974) -- Wanda meets Robert Frank and believes he is her father; Wanda and Vision get married.

Avengers Vol 1 #181-183 (1978-79)-- introduces Django Maximoff.

Avengers Vol 1 #185-188 (1979)-- also known as Nights of Wundagore, the twins return to Transia and learn about their birth on Mount Wundagore & the origin of Wanda's powers; Wanda is possessed by Chthon.

Vision & the Scarlet Witch Vol 1 & 2 (1983-85)-- Wanda & Vision acclimate to married life. Pietro's daughter Luna is born; the twins learn that Magneto & Magda are their birth parents; Wanda becomes pregnant and gives birth to twin boys.

Avengers West Coast #42-62 (1988-89)-- includes Vision Quest & Darker Than Scarlet storylines. Vision's memories and emotions are erased; the babies are destroyed by Pandemonium and Mephisto; Wanda learns that she is a Nexus Being while suffering the manipulations of Immortus. [the volume + issue numbering is weird on this one-- just look up the storyline titles and you'll find them.]

Force Works (1994)-- Wanda acts as team leader and begins a relationship with Simon Williams.

Scarlet Witch (1994)-- a miniseries which introduces Lore and expands on the concept of Nexus Beings.

Avengers Vol 3 #1-3; 10-11 (1998)-- Wanda learns more about chaos magic and resurrects Simon Williams.

Avengers Vol 1 #503-507 (2004)-- a storyline titled Chaos, which kicks off the Avengers Disassembled crossover. Wanda suffers an apparent mental breakdown and causes a series of calamities as her powers escalate to uncontrollable reality-warping.

House of M (2004)-- a sprawling crossover event set within an alternate reality of Wanda's creation; concludes with Wanda inadvertently erasing a large percentage of the mutant population. This is referred to as the Decimation, or M-Day. Wanda disappears and remains missing for several years.

Young Avengers; Young Avengers Special; Young Avengers Presents: Wiccan & Speed (2005-08)-- introduces Billy Kaplan and Tommy Shepherd, who learn that they are Wanda's reincarnated sons and begin searching for her.

Avengers: The Children's Crusade (2010)-- the Young Avengers, Magneto, and Quicksilver discover Wanda as an amnesiac living in the care of Doctor Doom. They help her recover her memories and her powers are returned to normal.

Avengers vs. X-Men (2012)-- Wanda rejoins the Avengers. Alongside Hope Summers, Wanda helps banish the Phoenix from Earth and causes a proliferation of new mutant to manifest, the first step in her redemption for M-Day.

AXIS (2014)-- Wanda & Pietro learn that Magneto is not their father after all, and they're not actually mutants.

Uncanny Avengers Vol 2 (miniseries, 2015)-- the twins learn that their powers are the result of the High Evolutionary's genetic experiments.

Scarlet Witch Vol 2 (2016)-- Wanda returns to her magical focus and has henceforth been written as an adept spellcaster. The series does a lot of worldbuilding around witches and witchcraft. The twins learn that their birth mother was actually Django's sister, Natalya Maximoff, and that they are descended from a lineage of Scarlet Witches.

Doctor Strange Vol 4 (2016)-- Wanda is featured in the Last Days of Magic storyline.

Uncanny Avengers Vol 3 #26-30 (2017)-- Wanda rejoins the Avengers Unity Division and begins a relationship with Doctor Voodoo.

Avengers Vol 1 #675-690 (2018) -- a crossover event titled Avengers: No Surrender.

Quicksilver: No Surrender-- an excellent miniseries following the previous event. Wanda and Jericho use magic to aid Pietro.

Avengers: No Road Home (2019)-- a sequel to No Surrender.

Strange Academy Vol 1 (2020)-- Wanda becomes a faculty member at a school for young magic users.

Darkhold (2021)-- the original Darkhold is discovered; Wanda's prior experiences have made her strong enough to handle it without corruption; she merges the Darkhold with her own soul and uses it to bind Chthon.

Trial of Magneto (2021)-- Wanda stages her own death as part of an elaborate scheme to gain access to, and magically enhance, the Krakoan resurrection system, leading to her final redemption for M-Day.

Scarlet Witch Vol 3 (2023)-- Wanda opens a metaphysical shop in upstate New York and constructs a magical portal called the Last Door. New friends, enemies, and a new status quo are introduced.

Avengers Vol 9 (2023)-- Wanda joins a new iteration of the Avengers, led by Captain Marvel.

Contest of Chaos (2023) -- a crossover event. Agatha attempts to create a new Darkhold, much is revealed about the origin and nature of chaos magic.

Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver; Scarlet Witch (2024)-- a special anniversary miniseries which leads into the solo title relaunch. The twins are hounded by an abstract entity called the Griever as their powers begin to expand beyond their prior limitations; new context is given to Nexus beings; Chthon escapes containment.

Vision & Scarlet Witch Vol 3 (2025)-- an upcoming miniseries, continuing from the previous volume of Scarlet Witch.

Here's a rough timeline for 09 Ghost that my mate @idk-i-just-write-tings and I worked out together based on the comics for a fic he's writing. We needed Riley as young as canonically possible, so we set his enlistment age at 18 (though I think he probably joined a bit later than that.) Comic panels (all sfw so no torture shown don’t worry haha) are at the bottom for evidence/examples of certain events. Hopefully they upload in order. Let’s go:

Start of timeline: 1983 — Year of birth no rank / 0 years

2001 — Enlistment after 9/11 happened *picture 1* pvt / 18 years

2002 — Out of basic training, possibly already aiming for SAS pvt / 19 years

2003 — This is the earliest he could've made it into the SAS. Any rank he earned during this time will therefore have been reset. pvt / 20 years

2004 — By now in the comics he's been promoted to Cpl as seen by the rank on his shoulder *picture 2*. (As far as I know this doesn't make much sense timewise, but this game sucks with ranks anyway.) Cpl / 21 years

2004-2006 — These are the years that he takes leave to go back home and fix his family. Within these years he kicks his father out and helps Tommy, who soon marries Beth. Cpl / 21-23 years

2006 — Here we had to begin theorising a little more. To be a liutenant he'd need to be commissioned, which means he'd need to undertake officer training. Usually this takes 44 weeks, however there is a shorter course for experienced soldiers, and since half a year has passed already for Tommy's marriage, *picture 3* let's put him on the 8 week course. Under Officer / 23 years

2007 — By now he will have finished officer training entirely and be a commisioned officer. 2Lt / 24 years

2009 — This is the year he gets sent to Mexico. By now he’s a Lieutenant. *picture 4* Usually it takes 3 years to reach this rank from 2nd Lt, but exceptions are made for certain officers if the higher ups deem them ready for a promotion. He’s captured early November of this year. Lt / 26 years

2010 — He remains captured until July of this year (9 months) although no specific date is given. His teammates escape moments before he’s taken to be buried alive. He digs himself out and manages to get across the border into Texas about a month later (August). Between then and December he’s in recovery. By December he wants to go back, but isn’t allowed to yet. *picture 5* Very soon after this is when his family is killed and he becomes Ghost. He goes back to Mexico and takes out Roba before Shepherd (I think??) finds him. Lt / 27 years

2011 — This is where the game COD 4 MW takes place. He's not in this campaign, we just thought it'd be useful to include this date. Lt / 28 years

2016 — Finally, this is the year that MW2 is set, five years after the first game. Here we finally meet Ghost in game. Lt / 33 years
