Szégyen vs. politikusok

A kép magunkról, hogy alkalmasak, értékesek vagyunk, a közösség megfelelő tagjai, az értékrendünk, a tevékenységünk, gondolataink önazonosak és a közösséggel nagyobbrészt megegyezőek. Ha ez látványosan kiderül, hogy nem így van, ha felszínre kerül valami titkos, a többség számára nem elfogadható mozgatórugó, vagy azt gondoljuk, hogy ami kiderült az a másik ember vagy a közösség számára nem elfogadható, akkor megszégyenülünk. Önmagunk előtt is meg tudunk szégyenülni, azt pontosan ugyanolyan nehéz feldolgozni. A megszégyenüléstől való félelem a narcisztikusoknak egy nagy mumusa. központi kérdés ennek elkerülése. Mondhatni a betegségük egyik alapja. Csak a pszichopaták nem érzik, kizárólag ők azok, akik addig hazudoznak, addig csavarják a dolgokat amíg a megszégyenülésből sikert kovácsolnak, mert gátlástalanok, és nem érzik a szégyent, csak a vesztes helyzetet amiből pedig kimásznak. At my 100th birthday party I realized all my male friends were dead but some little boys still ran in the backyard, the grandsons, even sons, of friends who decided to be mothers later in life. they rented me a body to try for the day, I had always been slim but never curvaceous, a runner but never fast. In a sterile side room a team of surgeons removed my head to be placed on the rented body, and stretched my facial skin to match the texture of my new neck. I stood straighter than before and ran a few blocks at 6 miles a minute with new bouncy breasts. Ashley with her ceramic hips was even faster. Emilia doesn't count – she took off her legs and put on wheels for shits & giggles. then, it was time for cake.
