Been working on the N.E.X - specifically the 'Alienpedia' which we have renamed to the Codex.

How it works is like this: the species you've scanned will be registered into the N.E.X. It works like a Pokedex but instead of automatically registering creatures when you encounter them for the first time, you have to manually scan them. I'll explain some of the functions Hovering over a registered alien will give a brief description, a name and their image. if you click on it, it will take you to a more detailed page about that alien, showing details such as what planet they are found on, their diet, the biomes they are found in etc. If you have not registered an alien and hover one of the ? ? ?, no info will appear.

The 4 icons at the bottom seem trivial but can be helpful during your travels. Eggs are planned to be a collectable in our game, so finding the eggs of each species will also be registered into the N.E.X. Diet is just a trivial lore, but abilities can tell you more about that alien's powers/characteristics. For example, if you scanned the starsprites and then hover the starsprite's ability, a pop up will show about their powers, in this case, the starsprites ability will be 'enchantment'. The last of the 4 icons is called 'guide' and this is the one we're most excited about.

If you ever played Super Smash Brothers or Kid Icarus uprising then you might be familiar with this mechanic. During gameplay your character will often have a conversation with the npcs which usually has some fun dialogue and tells you more about whatever you're doing during that part of the game. In this case we plan to make it so Melodia and Kinoko have a conversation about the species they scanned. Melodia will often educate Kinoko about the species or if its an aggressive mob, will teach you how to counter it.

We're always interested in feedback as we want to make this as good as it can be, so if you have any thoughts on these interface designs, let us know!

GOOD DAY EVERYONE! A few days ago, the silly little indie game I've been working on the last couple years launched! If you're into mother-like JRPGs with an emotional story and silly antics, please check it out! Goddammit my motivation for a project always falls off a cliff when I have to start making levels. It's a combo of not being confident in my level design chops and it taking quite a long time for a single dev to make, what with all the iteration that needs to take place. :////

This'll definitely have to be a hurdle I overcome if I want to actually publish anything lol.

This is a redesign of an action rpg project I had going on during the unity days. I kind of like Godot's infrastructure 1000x more though? I want to stick with this one because I have a lot of different gameplay ideas for it and I really dig the style I've got going on so far.

Galactic is in move

Pixel art for today is based on Pulseman for game console Sega MegaDrive. Game is looks like similar with Sonic, Ristar. Zool, and, mainly, it is like some funny little human. Or some cool human. So, these kind of characters were at MegaDrive.

And, I like game James Pond. First part. I play it with cartridge at Sega! There was a char Taz on Mars. Also, some funny little animal. There were lots of cool funny characters for Sega! So, here one more! Vectorman it was. Well, lots of them, actually! So, this is based on Pulseman! I don’t know what does it mean. Anyway. I think it is some normal Sega game! Well, it is ok to play it to try it!

And, this is my drawing based on Pulseman (SMD). You are landed at space labyrinth. Such a big space station. Amongst the space. It is consisting with most different sectors. So here – there are palms to grow. Well, they are not palm at all. And something unknown. But, it is growing straight in space. And, so, stones are here. Big stones, wow! It is rather unusual! And you run next to see what here is!

There are lots of interesting in space! So, space labyrinth is here! What can it be interesting here? So, let`s see! Turn on funny little music with player and let`s run to see what is next here!

So, space suit. And, so, gravitation. And, so, cool boots. And cool helmet. So, it is that’s for sure time to explore! So they are living here - little crabs! Space crabs. They are looking at you! They can to throw bubbles! Wow! What a crabs they are! And who know who else!
