[1] Episode 1, Chapter 30: Masterpiece Newscaster mentions that Jin's mother died two and a half years prior. This is two and a half Calendar years prior, meaning it is roughly in March. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [2] Interestingly, this is a JP note. In Episode 6, Chapter 5, the English has Moby mention that the Gala is at the end of August, when the fourth years return. The Japanese script has Moby saying that the fourth years return when it becomes August to prepare for graduation, and that at the end of that month, the Gala takes place. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [3] Given the fact that the other known entrance ceremonies both take place in September, it is an educated guess that this is the case for the second years as well. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [4] Episode 15, Chapter 25 has Haku mention that he was in Frostheim for a year before transferring to Hotarubi. In Chapter 2, Rui says Haku transferred suddenly after becoming a 2nd year (in the JP text), meaning that it was most likely September when Haku transferred to Frostheim. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [5] Episode 7, Chapter 26 says the immortal inpatient was cursed during a mission 'last year', though whether that is last school year or last calendar year is unclear. If it was last school year, there is still a chance he was cursed in 2023 (if it happened early on in the year). The implication is that he was cursed prior to March 2024, due to Nicolas saying Yuri wouldn't recognise him nor would Jiro. March-April, 2024 is roughly when multiple events related to the Clash occurred, including transfers, so it is likely that it happened before this point, as it would prevent him and Yuri from meeting. As for Jiro, we don't actually know when he was woken from his coma, so… shrugs. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [6] This one is kinda a doozy. Multiple moving parts place the prologue in 2024. To begin, in Episode 15, Chapter 27, there is a Suspicious Person Report filed on July 10th, 2021. In a subsequent chapter, Chapter 29, Haku discusses the disappearance of Yu Kunishige, who vanished five years ago. Following this disappearance, her father kills himself a year later, and becomes the Unknown Caller anomaly. He is a newer anomaly (also mentioned in Ch27) compared to the other ghosts. Assuming the Unknown Caller is already an anomaly (given that he knows Hanao Numata and was not asking about Yu, as reports said he would do when he was alive), this means Yu vanished no later than 2020. And, if Yu vanished in 2020, and her father killed himself in 2021, that would place Episode 15 in 2025, given that Chapter 5 has Zenji mention it is almost blossom season (Blossom season occurred in Late March) and MC explicitly say it is March. This matches up with Episode 14 taking place in February, and Episode 13 taking place in December.

Furthermore, in Episode 16, Chapter 11, Ritsu mentions it has been 266 days since Sinostra was placed on Probation, which would place that chapter in May. It can't be 2024 at the time of that statement because it was a leap year, and it would mean his count is off by one. It can't be earlier either, because of the aforementioned Yu Kunishige issue. That issue is also why it can't be set in the future; if it is 2026, for example, Yu disappeared in 2021, and her father would be looking for her when the report is filed. Similarly, if it was 2027, there would be no report to file, as Yu would not have disappeared at the time of its filing. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [7] Considering how many Clash related events take place in March or April (which is halfway through the school year), it is unfathomable that it wouldn't take place in 2024. Could it hypothetically take place in 2023? I guess so. But there's no reason for there to be a minimum 3 month gap between major events. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [8] MC speculates in Episode 5, Chapter 31 that Zenji's death happened during the Clash. Haku also states that he died during the 'thick of [all the problems last year]', so it was Likely around the Clash era. Zenji also didn't know the gala was cancelled, as that happened after he died. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [9] In Episode 3, Chapter 11, Haru mentions it took him six months to learn Jabberwock's ropes, and later on in Episode 16, Chapter 8 that Haru transferred suddenly, so it was likely in the middle of last school year. However, horrifically, while the English says it took 6 months for him to learn the ropes, the word he uses in Japanese is 半月; half a month. Further investigation into Kansai-ben shows no special other meaning, so... Um. Yeah. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [10] Episode 2, Chapter 26 Leo mentions that Tohma was in Vagastrom until the middle of last school year, which would put it Vaguely In March. This more or less aligns with the Clash. In Episode 1, Chapter 1, Yumiko and another Frostheim student gossip briefly, and mention that people believe Tohma had something to do with Yuri's transfer. I placed them roughly around the same time therefore, but it is totally possible Yuri's transfer happened Earlier or Later.

[11] In Episode 4, Chapter 10 Ritsu says Taiga became Captain approximately half a year ago. Given that it is October, six months earlier would be April, though as always it could be March that he transfers, given the sheer amount of Clash-specific issues that happen around this time. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [12] Episode 9, Chapter 5 has Kaito reveal that Romeo has been hunting him for half a year at the time of saying that. Once again, given that it is November, and given that the Casino opens roughly around April, and given that Kaito also mentions he didn't see Romeo prior to this, it would make sense that this starts around May. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [13] Once again, Episode 15, Chapter 25 has Haku say he was in Frostheim for a full year before transferring again. Since he is in Hotarubi and seemingly well adapted to it by the beginning of the story, he likely transferred sometime in July or August. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [14] Multiple mentions to when Dionysia became defunct occur, namely Episode 5, Chapter 2 (where it is mentioned they closed last school year) and Episode 16, Chapter 5 (where it is reiterated that Dionysia became defunct at the end of last school year). In the English script, Elias mentions in Ep16 Chapter 7 that Dionysia has been Abandoned for six months, however the JP says that it went defunct Over six months ago, meaning it is still reiterating that Dionysia has been out of commission for quite some time. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [15] Another assumption that this is a yearly event that always reoccurs at the same time every year. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [16] In the Prologue, Chapter 1 it is 7:13pm when MC is on the train coming back (based on timestamps from her group chat). However, in Chapter 3 (and reiterated again in Chapter 4), it is suddenly daytime after MC is cursed. When it is daytime, it is known to be September 4th, and morning based on how much happens during the Prologue in one day, meaning it is likely MC was cursed on September 3rd, and Kisaragi Station OR Kyklos caused time discrepancies.

Another more unhinged reason is that the prophecy says the Whisper of the New Moon would lead the Champion to the isle. In 2024 in Tokyo, the new moon for September occurred September 3rd, roughly around 11pm. Does this moon chart line up with anything else? No, basically just this. However it's a neat coincidence regardless. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [17] In Episode 4, Chapter 21, Kaito says he bet September 5th of that year to the Oblivion Dealer. Later in Chapter 29, he says it was the day after the entrance ceremony, meaning that the entrance ceremony took place September 4th. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [18] Not only does the dates line up with the days that pass throughout the chapters, MC also has the option to bet September 8th of that year in Episode 4, Chapter 24, which is mentioned as the Celebratory Ball in Frostheim. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [19] Once again, Episode 4, Chapter 24 allows MC to wager September 19th, noting it was the Vagastrom undercover investigation where they first used the Fox Robe. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [20] Once again, Episode 4 Chapter 24. MC wagers October 1st, noting it is when she meets Jabberwock.

[21] In Episode 6, Chapter 34 Edward says it's the full moon that night, which is important for the purpose of reiterating the moon thing is likely a coincidence, given that the full moon for October when this chapter occurs is October 17th, which is genuinely impossible for Obscuary to reach, given that this is the fourth day for Obscuary's investigation, and there's a minimum 3 days timeskip between the end of Hotarubi, which is already a week, and Sinostra ends October 10th. Womp womp. ━━━━━━ ◦ ❖ ◦ ━━━━━━ [22] Interestingly enough, in Episode 5, Chapter 9 Moby mentions needing money by the 25th of the month to pay for a ticket to an exclusive stream, which lead me to believe this is when it takes place. However, the Japanese script says he needs it by the 25th of next month. So shrugs. how i think the canucks roster* could be set up for success next season

*as of july 3, 2025. with my luck they are going to make a trade within the week now that i’ve written this.

so, i find that the general vibe on the canucks in many online spaces and podcasts right now is a little on the negative side, basically entirely due to the admittedly rather lacklustre forward group that they currently have. everyone points to defence/goaltending as a strength, but it does feel like the worries about offence tend to outweigh the positivity about the other aspects of the team.

i wanted to discuss the components of the team as a whole and talk about how i think they’ll be able to work around the issues that kind of jump out at you on paper, because i genuinely think that they have a chance to be a strong team!

right now we have a good mix of defencemen who can help break the puck out of our zone/contribute offensively, as well as those who are very strong at in-zone defence. we shouldn’t have the same issue as much of last year when the team literally just could not get out of their zone if quinn wasn’t on the ice, which will help the team defence in general (easier to prevent goals when you aren’t constantly right. in front of your net). it will also help the forward group, though — by getting out of our zone more efficiently, our offensive players will have more opportunities to create scoring chances, and the more you create the more likely one might go in the net (even if it’s just dumb luck).

if i were assigning the defencemen their partners, i’d probably do it like this:

metey-hronek

forbort/dpetey-mancini/willander/dpetey

i would still put hughes/hronek together situationally (ex. halfway through the 3rd period and they’re down 2 goals), but i think hughes elevates myers enough to allow hronek to run the 2nd pair and help generate more offence there. and, maybe willander will excel so quickly that he’s taking shifts with quinn by january 👀

2. goaltending

guys, we have thatcher demko (career sv% of .910 despite playing for the 2021-2023 canucks, runner-up for the vezina one year ago, and visibly an incredibly goalie to anyone watching) and kevin lankinen (literally saved the canucks season last year) as our goalie tandem. the injury issues we’ve seen demko deal with in the past have always come from him being overplayed, but with lankinen there we won’t have to ride demko into the ground. conversely, last season we saw lankinen’s game weaken as he was played over and over — but with demko there, that won’t be the case.

good goalies steal games, give your team a chance to win most nights, and give your skaters confidence. we don’t have a good goalie — we have a great goalie, and an elite goalie.

like, we are so back. we just need to say a prayer every night for demko’s knees, and make sure lankinen drinks emergen-C every morning to ward off the flu.

3. the forward group

look, it’s admittedly the weak point of the team. ideally you’d like another centre, either a 2C or a stronger 3C who can move up the lineup in case (god forbid) petey or chytil get injured.

HOWEVER! it’s not as dire as it may seem! i think that as long as the players are distributed to the various lines appropriately, so that everyone has linemates with complementary skills, the team will be able to score goals by committee.

IMO the best puck-carriers and playmakers on the team are petey, chytil, and garland — so if one of them is on each of our top 3 lines, each line should be able to get the puck into the offensive zone adequately, and have at least one player who can create scoring chances.

you also need someone who is ideally quick, and can win puck battles — think of höglander, garland, debrusk to some extent, kane (if he’s trying), sherwood, etc. — as well as someone who can score when they’re passed the puck (boeser, debrusk, etc.).

what you DON’T want is to waste two of our rare play-drivers on the same line (ex. i don’t want to see garland as petey’s winger), have two wingers who are more inclined to be the 3rd forward into the zone than they are to chase the puck down and win it back for their centre, or have 3 guys who aren’t going to shoot.

i don’t have super strong feelings on how the puzzle is pieced together — like if you put debrusk with petey instead of boeser, or sherwood with him instead of höglander, i’m fine with that. still, for the sake of the post, and assuming at least one of our left-wingers will be able to lay on the right side, this is an option i think would utilize the players well:

we saw that top line have a lot of success at the end of last season, and it would be great if they could build on that! i think that if kane is willing to work hard (which i’ve heard isn’t always the case), he’ll be good to get into the dirty areas for chytil and debrusk, debrusk/chytil will be a good pair off the rush, and you have 3 scoring options. the third line is another that we’ve seen build some great chemistry, so just giving them a run together to find it again would be a good outcome. and the 4th line will have a defensive conscience while also bringing speed and physicality.

now, petey, boeser, and debrusk will very much need to carry the offence. no pressure 😭 but with our defencemen helping facilitate breakouts and a strong defensive structure + goaltending hopefully allowing us to keep our games low-scoring, i do think our forwards will be able to score their way to victory more often than not (and we’ll get goals from defencemen, too!)

4. penalty kill

this was like the one good thing abt the team last year and while we lost suter, the rest of the PKers are still here — i think we will continue to see it be a strength.

i really wouldn’t change it from last year, with the exception of needing a new centre on PK1. i think pettersson is the best option for the beginning of the year — he has incredible hockey IQ and is great at breaking up passes and anticipating where the puck will go, as well as being very (VERY) willing to block shots, and his faceoff% is pretty much on par with suter so that won’t be a big difference.

if he’s able to develop into a full-time NHLer, though, i’d like to see räty develop into a PK1 player over the course of the season: he’s great at faceoffs and i think he’s smart enough to fulfill the other PK requirements, and this means that petey (who will already need to carry the team at 5v5 and on the PP) won’t have to play as many tough PK minutes.

5. power play

we can only pray that our PP will work out this season 😭 i don’t even rly know what i’d do here — boeser is elite at the netfront and debrusk did well in the bumper, so i wouldn’t really want one of them to move to the former miller spot. i’m not sure that lekkerimäki is likely to make the team right out of training camp, which is why i don’t see him as an option. maybe put sherwood out there? or bite the bullet and move boeser to a half-wall, and put kane netfront?

as the #1 garland on PP1 anti i can tell you i do not want him there (i’ve discussed this before but his shot isn’t a threat, and PKers therefore don’t feel the need to defend him as closely — so they cover everyone else), but i do worry that this is what we might see 😭

gun to my head, i would do this:

kane (netfront)

debrusk (bumper)

boeser (left half wall)

pettersson (right half wall)

hughes (point)

6. an identity to work towards: infuriating the opponents

this is something i’m genuinely excited about!! hear me out —

we have a lot of players who just get under their opponents’ skin: teams and fanbases alike despise evander kane (me too 🍅🍅), and garland and höggy both make their opponents irate to the point where they lash out (looking @ you mcjesus). on top of that, we have joshua and sherwood who will kill anything that walks and help break down their opponents physically. then, we have our skilled guys like petey and quinn who can make a professional NHL player look like a peewee skater. and to top of all off, we have goalies who are really hard to score on.

my point is that if all these things come together, i think that the canucks could piss off their opponents. a lot. and when opponents are pissed off they’ll take more undisciplined penalties, might become sloppy in their frustration, etc.

if everyone leans into what they naturally to do anger people — whether it’s petey making matheson fall due to his incompetence, brock smiling charmingly at someone who’s angry they just got scored on, kane just irritating tf out of everyone, or sherwood pummelling the top players of the opponent into the boards every 30 seconds — i think that not only will it help the team find success, it’ll help them feel like they have an identity every time they step onto the ice for a game. and it’ll also be fun to watch!!

7. conclusion

to wrap this up, i’ll again say: there is so much hopelessness, critique, and worry that you see surrounding this team anytime you so much as open twitter or turn on the radio. i don’t think our forward group is necessarily a strength, but i truly think that the team is going to be good next year.

The History of Swingo, Part 0: The Basics

“Swingo” is a term coined by the Six fandom to indicate when an alternate or swing has played all 6 roles in the show— it’s a combination of the words ‘swing’ and ‘bingo’. Whether or not a performer in Six hits Swingo depends on a variety of factors: most importantly the structure of the production they are in, but also their role within the production, the performer's personal preferences, how long they stay with the show, and luck. 

First, some more terminology that will be used frequently in this series:

A ‘principal’ performer is cast to play a specific role and is expected to perform that role in every show unless they are ill/injured/on vacation etc. For particularly demanding roles, or productions that do more than 8 shows a week (like the Six West End production), the principal’s contract might stipulate that they get one show off per week.

‘Cover’ refers to a performer who learns a role so that they can perform it when the principal performer is unavailable. It can also be used to refer to the role that is learned or as a verb, so one could say ‘I’m a cover for Howard’, ‘I cover Howard’, or ‘Howard is one of my covers’. A ‘first cover’ is someone who’s the first priority to go on in a role when the principal is out, followed by the second cover, then the third, etc.

‘Alternate’ is a term used in theatre to refer to a performer that covers a particular role or roles and does not appear onstage unless they are performing in that role. It’s similar to the more common term ‘understudy’, but understudies usually perform in the ensemble or a smaller role when they are not needed to perform the principal role(s) they cover. Six doesn’t have an ensemble, so its backup performers are not understudies.

‘Swing’ is a term used in theatre to refer to a performer that covers a wide range of roles and does not appear in the production unless they are covering for a performer that is out (unless otherwise indicated, ex. ‘onstage swing’). Six uses the term ‘swing’ in a variety of ways, most often to refer to a performer that covers all six roles but is a lower cover priority than the alternate. There are also ‘universal swings’ that cover a range of roles in multiple productions.

‘Alternate costumes’ or swing costumes are worn by non-principal performers and are not identical to the principal costumes. They are used primarily as a cost-saving measure so performers that cover many roles do not need a separate costume for each role. Some have variations, where part of the costume can be swapped out with a different piece to make the costume more versatile; for example, the base silver swing costume has a split skirt, but there is also a pants variation that can be worn with the same top.

Next, an overview on the cover systems in different productions:

West End and UK Tour: Starting with West End 2.0 (the 2019-20 production) and the UK Tour 3.0 (2021-22), the UK Six productions employ 3 alternates with two first covers each and 1-2 swings that are the 2nd priority cover(s) for all six roles. The majority of alternates have been assigned second and third covers, although they may or may not perform or learn all six roles. There have also been universal swings that perform with both the tour and West End productions, typically covering all roles but some covering as few as three. Starting with West End 3.0 (21-22) and UK Tour 4.0 (22-23), alternates have been given principal costumes for their two first covers and one alternate costume for any of the other 4 roles they might go on for. Swings are given alternate costumes only, usually with multiple variations to make them more versatile.

Cruise productions (Bliss and Breakaway): Each cruise production had two onboard swings that each covered 3 roles, plus at least two rehearsal swings that learned 1-3 roles each but did not actually join the rest of the cast aboard the ship unless necessary due to performers leaving the show. Early productions had the swings in alternate costumes, while productions from 2021 on had them in principal costumes for all three roles.

Australia tours: All AUS tours have had three swings that cover all six roles. While there is no formal cover priority, it seems that some swings perform certain roles much more frequently than others. The second and third AUS tours have also had an ‘alternate swing’ who acts as a fourth cover for all roles. AUS swings wear an alternate costume for all roles.

Broadway and US Tours: Likely due to differences in union rules between the US and the UK, no US performers have been contracted to cover all six roles. Aside from the original pre-Broadway tour, US productions each have four alternates that cover three roles each, arranged so each role has two covers. There have also been several universal swings that have covered both the Broadway and touring productions; they typically learn 4 roles to provide additional coverage. Also due to union rules, alternate costumes are not used in the US.

Other productions: Since no performers in other productions of Six have hit Swingo, the Canadian, South Korean, Japanese, and non-replica productions will not be discussed in this series.

Your Life Is The Truman Show

This place, our "current reality", the Upside Down which is definitely a Stranger Thing, isnt a fit for me.

Its not like it was before.

I noticed it as soon as I started high school, my first day as a freshman at Bishop Ahr in September 1995.

Everything felt so motherfucking fake, forced and contrived.

The stupid mandatory pep rallies I was forced to attend in the gymnasium and having to pretend that I gave a shit that we were playing our rivals, Colonia.

I didnt.

Being forced fo sit in the cafeteria every day for an hour when I would finish my Lunchables, Sour Gushers & Hi-C in ten minutes.

Attempts to hide in the bathroom stall and the school library were met with threats of detention and an insistence that I stay in the cafeteria every day for my full lunch hour per my schedule.

Extracurricular activities were n e v a h a social fit at all, neither in junior high or high school.

I wasnt talking and I was socially isolated due to my social anxiety but I could never shake that forced and contrived feeling I already mentioned.

Everything was artifice.

Marching band playing the fluit in junior high, wind ensemble playing the flute in 4th through 8th grade. I'm front row, second from the right.

Softball for a decade for St .Peters (3rd through 8th grade) & Franklin Township Little League (2nd grade through 10th grade). Im in the middle holding the bat.

Girl scouts - junior high, French club & Students Against Drunk Driving - high school.

Spring & winter track - varsity lettered sophomore year - high school.

Youth choir - church - 11 to 13 years old, Counselor in training - Inman Park - Summer 7th grade, Theater program - Villagers Theater - Summer 7th grade, Candy striper - St. Peters Hospital - freshman & sophmore years - high school, Intervarsity For Christ - freshman year - UDel, Talent Competition - junior year - high school; Talent Show - 8th grade; Vacation bible school - church - 11 to 13 yeara old.

Additional clues this place has nevah been a fit:

•During my 15 year career in corporate which spanned from 2007 to 2022, I worked twenty mostly jobs which were mostly contract assignments with only a few permanent jobs with all of my tenures being a year or less with the absolute max tenure for any one job being two years, additionally I worked over a dozen temporary jobs during that same 15 year tenure in corporate, that ranged from a few days to a few weeks to a month or possibly two at most.

•I left four jobs in six years with no job lined up (Bank of America - 2015; International SOS - 2017; Dow Jones - 2019; Amazon - 2021).

•I left Amazon (6 month contract, $55/hr) after seven days.

•College (University of Delaware) was a thousand times worse than high school and even less of a fit because now I was living in a dorm on campus surrounded by people pledging sororities, partying, driking, doing LSD and hooking up left and right and I was interested in exactly none of that.

•Corporate exposed an extremely clear pattern that had emerged where seemingly nothing was a fit for me in terms of established accepted societal structures (sports teams, marching bands, girl scouts, church choir, summer camp, high school, 4 year college, corporate America).

•Ego death and self awakening in 2023 that included my third eye opening, kundalini awakening, ego death, self ascension, self actualization, aligning & activating all seven chakras.

•Receiving regular esoteric downloads from the Akashic Library and posting them to my tumblr and TikTok.

•Daily trips to the dreamscape at night when Im "dreaming" where I put the current days version of myself to sleep in the dreamscape and download "the next days" version of myself then I "wake up", temporarily leaving the dreamscape and traveling back to our current reality, the Upside Down, when in reality when I am asleep and dreaming I am awake in the dreamscape and when I "wake up" from my "dream" I am actually asleep in the false reality of our virtual reality simulation of what we call "life", where Im typing this, the Upside Down.

•Esoteric realization after opening my thirf eye that our "reality" is nothing but a simulated virtual reality videogame version of the dreamscape, which is actual reality.

Where we are now, where Im typing this and youre reading this, is nothing but a dream.

Limited 3 dimensional bullshit.

I constantly see the Truman Show all around me.

I see Bryan Cranston stepping on set like Asteroid City at a family members streamed funeral to narrate the scene.

I see the boom mic and lightbox crash onto the set of my cousin giving birth to her first child.

I hear the director yelling "Cut!" because one of the Marine officers wasnt standing on the black X and didnt hit his mark at a family members burial.

I hear the director asking for a 25th take when a family member falls and injures herself after a work event.

I see the Black Friday Walmart ad that has a dozen items in squares and when the squares are flipped over two sets of prices are revealed: "Was $XYZ" & "Now $XYZ", however, many of the before and after prices are the exact same and many of the "now" prices are actually MORE expensive than the "was" prices.

During Amazons Black Friday Football game, I see a Dolphins defensive player lower his helmet to deliver a hit then crumple and collapse to the turf.

After the game, the same Dolphins player is interviewed for his remarkable 99 yard pick 6 earlier in the game.

Laughably, the Dolphins list the player's injury after the game as a "knee injury".

I pulled up the player, Jevon Holland's (#8) injury history, and he had a very hard collision with a fellow Dolphins defensive player last month during a game on 10/23/23.

Holland laid motionless on the turf for several minutes after the collision. He was then taken to the lockerroom and the Dolphins reported he "cleared concussion protocol" and he was put back in the game.

The very next morning, on Monday (10/24/23), when Holland reported to the Dolphins team facility, he reported concussion symptoms.

Holland was placed into concussion protocol and he was then cleared to play exactly a week later on 11/1/23.

3 weeks later, as I already mentioned, during Amazons Black Friday Football game, Holland lowered his helmet to deliver a hit, collapsed to the turf, was never checked on the sidelines or in the medical tent for a concussion and the Dolphins later reported his injury after the game as a "knee injury".

On the broadcast, Al Michaels said after Holland collpased to the turf that the NFL was trying to remove this play from the game because players lowering their head to deliver a hit is unsafe especially to the player delivering the hit.

After Holland collapsed to the turf, Amazons Black Friday Football broadcast stepped away for an injury timeout and, after commercials, once the broadcast resumed there was a graphic shown onscreen of the current AFC playoff picture.

The viewer could see that Holland was no longer on the turf so he had clearly left the field during commercials, however, Al Michaels and Kirk Hebstreit, Amazons play by play and announcement team, never updated the fans on Holland.

As I stated earlier, after the game ended, Holland was interviewed by the sideline reporter about his incredible 99 yard pick 6 and the Dolphins win.

Holland was in very high spirits.

Did Jevon Holland, as he did last month, report concussion-like symptoms to the Dolphins trainer today when be reported in to the team's facility after sustaining yet another collision in-game that he wasnt properly tested and diagnosed for by the teams unaffiliated neurological consultant (UNC)?

Does anyone even care?

Did anyone even notice?

After Al Michaels mentioned that the NFL legislated helmet to helmet hits out of the game to protect both the defensive and offensive players when Holland lowered his helmet to deliver the hit then collapsed to the turf, the injury timeout happened, the broadcast went to commercials then once the broadcast resumed Al Michaels & Kirk Hebstreit never mentioned Hollands injury again.

As the viewer, we saw Holland lower his helmet, deliver the hit, collapse to the turf, injury timeout, commercials, back to the broadcast, Holland had left the field during the commercials but instead of at least an update from Al Michaels saying that the Dolphins hadnt provided an update or at least state that Holland was able to get up under his own power something, we were instead as the viewer shown a graphic of the current AFC playoff standings and Al & Kirk discussed how the Dolphins were currently dominating in their division and conference.

Jevon Holland had scored a 99 yard pick 6 earlier in the game so all discussions about Holland focused on this both after he collpased on the turf in the 4th quarter of the remainder of the game as well as the post-game broadcast.

The broadcast team (Al Michaels & Kirk Hebstreit) as well as the post-game team (Carissa, Fitz, Sherm, Whit and Tony G) only discussed the pick 6 when discussing Holland. Same with the sideline reporter who interviewed Holland after the game.

The broadcast was acting like Holland was never shown, including in a slow motion replay, lowering his helmet to deliver a hit that immediately resulted in him colllapsing to the turf.

Holland also seemed perfectly fine during his post-game interview and he was extremely high-spirited about his 99 yard pick 6 as well as the Dolphins winning.

On the commentary, Al Michaels didnt identify Holland by name, only stating that a Dolphins defensive player was down.

If you didnt notice the number on his jersey (#8), you wouldnt have connected that this was the same Dolphins player who had scored the 99 yard pick 6 earlier in the game.

Since Michaels & Hebstreit never mentioned Holland's collapse to the turf and/or injury again (it had occurred in the 4th quarter) and neither did Amazons post-game show, most viewers wouldnt have known who the player who had collapsed on the turf was and would have never connected that it was the same Dolphins player who scored the 99 yard pick 6 who was interviewed after the game.

Pinchuk and her mother fled to Austria at the start of the war, and she and Pogorielov train there. they both still have family in Ukraine. they have flair, and at their best, nice skating skills, they hit their key points consistently last season. twizzles were a little less reliable. they're skating a Bon Jovi/Joe Cocker RD and Madonna FD

Yahli Pederson/Jeffrey Chen 🇺🇸USA (16/21 yo) a newly formed team- she was a solo dancer til recently - i didn't realize she's this young. he skated with Katarina Wolfkostin for 4 seasons, winning a US Jr title and getting 2 senior GP assignments last season. So far, Pedersen/Chen have been 5th in Dallas and won the Lake Placid Jr qualifier. their newness can make them unpredictable, but if they can skate relatively clean they have a strong chance of medaling here. They train at MIDA, and their FD is Phantom, and RD is Queen.

Dana Sabatini-Speciale/Nicholas Buelow 🇨🇦CAN (17/16 yo) this team works with Mitch Islam at Mariposa, so they're probably going through it 😢 they had a JGP last season and were 6th at Jr Nats and 2nd at Next Gen this July. their RD is Jack and Diane and a Stevie Ray Vaughn blues, their FD (at 1:02:45 ⬆️) is Il Postino and Josh Groban. Alexandra Paul was one of their choreographers💔

they're a sweet team - their big height difference (6'3 and just under 5') makes matching lines a little more challenging, but they do pretty well, and they have a soft flowing quality

Hello! Just a few answers to your replies: i genuinely think the reason the doctors and nurses gave him his little present, is because he was there for the first like 2/3 months almost every other day. And then every week like twice or so. So he was constantly there, talking about qaf and about other random shit and he always brought them snacks that they liked. His 2nd visit he was showing pictures of his friends to the nurses as if they know each other. So i think he has a way to force himself into a persons heart, i guess. But i will also say, the staff was full of sweethearts so that was probably a big reason too. AND YES THE SURGEON WATCHED IT. We flipped out on our drive back home. He really forced doctors and random people to watch a tv show he was obsessed with. Kind of iconic of him ngl. And you are not the only one who had questions! The prom bashing was the entire topic of our ride back home. And he was way ahead of you because he thought about calling the doctor as well but after I and like 5 other people told him not to, he thankfully didn’t. I have finished 3.75/5 assignments due this week. I can't figure out one of my math problems so that's why its not 4 lmao. but now I have 3 days to do my lab report.

today my goal is to start my lab report and not stress myself out too much today.

day nine: Share a time when you were struggling and what you did to get through it. last year (2nd year of college), the pandemic was at it's peak and I was having a rough time mentally. I just let myself rest, I set boundaries of only doing homework until a certain time. I would make sure to get outside and bike ride. Accepting that there will be unproductive hours and that's a good thing. It was more just learning to put my mental health before my school work which I'm still working on.

West End Alt Costume Photos + Info

For the past almost two months me and @lightleckrereins​ have been theorizing about alt costumes for West End second and third covers. We’ve gotten a lot of backstage photos and I finally had a chance to write up (nearly) everything we know so far. As always, I’m the one posting it but Sofia has been essential in alllllll the analysis and theorizing.  Here’s the rundown: - Alt costumes exist, and are worn by the alternates. They will presumably be used for 2nd and 3rd covers. - Costumes and colors are NOT assigned based on 1st covers, but rather on 2nd covers and which design/color is most flattering on each queen. For example, just because Roxanne is S/P 1st cover does NOT mean that she is orange alt, because they’re wearing principal designs for their first covers. - Right now it looks like each alt’s costume has 1-2 variations. It may be that they follow the original WE alt system, where they each get one variation with the addition of a Cleves variation for the Cleves first cover. It also could be that they have one variation for each of their second covers, or a mix. (Also keep in mind that pink alt has only had one variation + orange alt two w/ only one in the UK so far) - Some, although not all, of these photos seem to have been intentionally leaked by the Six team. As a result they may be hiding some info that would help clarify some of the questions that still exist about new variations, design updates, and who has each costume. - We don’t know for sure when we will get proper photos or confirmation of these. However, @lightleckrereins and I think we’ll get them very soon.

Here’s what we have photos of so far:

- Boots. Crystalled By Jane embellishes all of the West End boots. Amid photos of the principal boots and Esme and Rachel’s swing boots, she posted photos of teal, orange, and pink boots. A separate post with pink photos labeled them “pink swing.” While the alts now all wear principal-design boots for their two first covers, Roxanne Couch wore the pink alt boots for the first several weeks before eventually receiving her Seymour and Parr boots.* As these boots are custom and would not fit her if they were made for someone else, she has the pink alt costume. - Original costumes sneak peek. This was posted by Danielle about a week after cast change and is the first glimpse we got of alt costumes in the alt dressing room. On the rack it looks like (from L-R): the pink alt leotard, Roxanne’s Seymour costume, a potential (although unclear) alt Seymour skirt, pink or orange Cleves (appears more like the pink design but orange is also possible), orange alt leotard/sleeves, orange alt pants, teal alt leotard/sleeves, teal alt pants, an undetermined peplum, the pink alt top, and then below the pink alt top on the floor is what appears to be the pink alt peplum skirt. - Later alt costume leaks. Pictured: teal alt top, potential peplum, pants, and two leotards w/ attached sleeves; pink alt top and potential teal alt sleeves/leotard hanging with Roxanne’s Parr costume (saturation is turned way up). - Patterned pants spandex. Up until early 2020, every Six costume with pants had a solid black spandex fabric used. When the 2020 Broadway production started, however, Anna Uzele had a patterned spandex with a simple geometric floral design. This same fabric later became standard for 2021 Broadway + UK Parr costumes, and the exact same fabric was used for Natalie Pilkington’s black alt pants on the 2021 UK Tour. This photo was posted by Gabriella Slade around the time they would have started work on the 2021 cast change costumes, and shows four additional patterned spandex styles. However it doesn’t show the Parr style, which was still used for both Meesha Turner and Roxanne’s Parr costumes. We also know that Esme Rothero has pants, that there seem to be teal and orange alt pants, and that the alt pants in the Roxanne photo have patterned spandex; it is possible that these four pictured will be used for Esme Rothero, orange alt, and teal alt. It is unknown what the fourth could be; maybe one that will not be used, but in my opinion it’s most likely for Rachel Rawlinson. We haven’t yet seen her in pants but based on recent trends for swings it’s likely that she has a pair. (left two photos taken by Johan Persson, right posted by sladegabriella) Here are some details on potential design changes: It’s hard to tell many details in the photos we have, which are all pretty blurry and unclear, so please take these as possible. The photos support that these may be design changes with varying degrees of confidence, but we won’t know for sure until we get better photos (these photos are all from actors’ instas; unsure who took the Ellie Sharpe photo)

- I already went into the patterned spandex above. - The pink alt costume’s sleeves look like they may have the striped mesh sleeves design like principal Howard. This may just be due to lighting as that’s happened in the past, but it also may be that they do in fact have striped mesh. If it does, it would be closest in design to Ellie Sharpe’s Howard sleeves, which are so far the only Howard to have the mesh and sequin sleeves. - A pink Cleves costume would be a totally new variation for pink. An orange Cleves variation would not be entirely new (although it’s only been used in Australia so far), but it would be the first with the reveal-style zipjacket. - The orange alt sleeves don’t have the usual lacing.

- The teal pants don’t seem to have the nude panel with lacing, although this may be due to the angle. - The next piece of teal costume is undetermined; it could be a top or shorts. There looks to be a design change in the placement of the teal vs black, with what looks to be intersecting black panels rather than parallel. - Potential teal peplum (pictured in the section above this one)

To address a few questions we’ve gotten: - Yes, these are for the alternates. The costumes have all been in the alternates dressing room (which they don’t share with anyone else, including the swings), on the alternates dressing room rack mixed in with their principal costumes, and have entirely new design changes that have not been seen on any other costumes and therefore cannot be re-used. - Roxanne has the pink alt boots, and yes, this means she has pink alt. - Some studs are missing, but this is normal. They easily could have fallen off during transportation to the theatre or even just on the rack, and there’s a possibility the WE alts had worn them for fittings, the photoshoot (as explained above),, or a dress. Feel free to send an ask if you have a question about anything I’ve mentioned. *Roxanne Couch posted several times about being out of the UK in the period around when she would have been cast and when early costume fittings would have been happening. Since the custom boots rely on custom fittings and creation based on those fittings rather than ready made boots, they can take 6+ weeks to create. If she wasn’t able to be fit immediately after casting with the other queens, they may have only had time to finish one pair of boots before her debut and could have chosen the pink alt boots as a good design that she could briefly wear for both Seymour and Parr (some of the embellishment design changes also could be linked to this). This may not be the true explanation, but it seems likely to me when considering that seemingly all of the other queens had all their boots ready on time.

The 4 IAM.O teams who are homegrown from Ilderton all started at the Ilderton Skating Club:

Lily Hensen and Nathan Lickers: 21/21 yo. They've been skating together since 2012 - only 3 other teams in all of IAM have been together as long. Ontario is a competitive place to skate, but they've made it to Nationals at each level - 12th in Novice, 6th in Junior, and 9th in Senior this year. They probably would have been sent to a JGP in 2020-21, the year the series unfortunately was cancelled for covid. From their long experience, they skate well in sync and are more comfortable and skilled skating in hold and close together than many teams. Flexibility and extension are areas that aren't strengths, but they said they're doing ballet and yoga classes now, and they've grown in expression and polish since they started working regularly with Scott and now Adrian and Madi. Their level of focus feels ramped up, and their programs this year are strong. This feels like a season when they're aiming to make an impression in Canada (or at least on Skate Canada) and build some momentum.

Maia Iannetta/Liam Carr: they went to a Skate Canada development camp in June but withdrew from the Quebec competition in August and haven't appeared on the lists for any other comps so far, so I'm not sure what's happening with them. Maia was at the rink last week in one of Christina's stories, so she seems to be training. They were 14th at Jr Nationals in 2020, seniored up in 2020-21, and were 12th at Sr Nationals in 2022.

Layla Veillon/Alexander Brandys: 16/17 yo. They are the current 🇨🇦 Novice National Champs and are in their 1st junior season. They've already been skating together at least 7 years. Novice skaters do 2 pattern dances and a FD at every competition. So in Layla and Alex's skating, anything resembling a pattern or skating in hold, they have deep edges and can do well - you can see why they won. Other elements like lifts and spins feel less honed at this point, but they're young and have 2 more seasons in junior after this one. And already had a JGP assignment, so they're doing well and have time to grow and move up.

Jordyn Lewis/Noah McMillan: 18/18 (almost 19) yo. They were skating as Juveniles in 2016, so they've been together at least 6 years. They were 6th at Novice Nats in 2020. This is at least their 2nd junior season, and they have one more after this one before they age up into seniors. They recently received a 2nd JGP assignment, which is a vote of confidence. Their FD this season is really good; they had a tango FD in 2021-22 that had some striking moments and they've carried that music into this year's RD.

These two skate with their blades making long and steady contact with the ice which gives them a beautiful look that's different from the surfacey way many teams skate. They're not the fastest team, but they look like they generate their power in the right way. Judging is all over the place, but the Finnish judge at JGP RIga ranked them #1 in PCS in the entire competition for the RD, and the quality of these fundamentals is probably why. They have some nice lifts. Performance skills are developing- faster styles or the FD which require more variety show a little more where they have room to grow.

The longevity of these teams speaks well of the Ilderton program, and the 3 we've seen who leveled up to IAM.O last season look motivated but not stressed out, which is a credit to their training environment
