Becoming an Intelligent Woman
My Dears,
There is no greater goal than being a fine woman who is intelligent, kind, and elegant. As much as we all want to be described with these adjectives, it takes a great amount of discipline to get there. It is very doable only if you are ready to put in the work.
Here are steps you can add to your routine in the next 4 weeks that will make you 1% more intelligent than you were before. This is a process that should become a habit not a goal. It is long term, however, I want you to devote just 4 weeks into doing these steps first and recognize the changes that follow.
Watch documentaries: This is the easiest step, we all have access to Youtube. Youtube has a great number of content on art, history, technology, food, science etc that will increase your knowledge and pique your curiosity. I really did not know much about world history especially from the perspective of World war 1 & 2, the roaring 20s, Age of Enlightenment, Jazz era, monarchies etc but with several channels dedicated to breaking down history into easily digestible forms. I have in the last 4 weeks immersed myself into these documentaries. Here are a few I watched:
The fall of monarchies
The Entire History of United Kingdom
The Eight Ages of Greece
World War 1
World War 2
The Roaring '20s
The Cuisine of the Enlightenment
2. Read Classics: I recommend starting with short classics so that you do not get easily discouraged. Try to make reading easy and interesting especially if you struggle with finishing a book. Why classics? You see, if you never went to an exclusive private school in Europe or America with well crafted syllabus that emphasized philosophy, history, art, and literary classics, you might want to know what is felt like and for me this was a strong reason. Asides that, there is so much wisdom and knowledge available in these books. In these books, you gain insights to the authors mind, the historical context of the era, the ingenuity of the author, the hidden messages, and the cultural impact of these books. Most importantly, you develop your personal philosophy from the stories and lessons you have accumulated from the lives of the characters in the books you read. Here are classics to get you started:
Animal Farm by George Orwell
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald
Candide by Voltaire
Paradise lost by John Milton
3. Study the lives of people who inspire you: I dedicate one month to each person that fascinates me. I read their biography (date of birth, background, death, influences, work, style, education, personal life) For this month, I decided to study Frank Lloyd Wright because I was fascinated by the Guggenheim Museum in New York. I began to read about his influence in American Architecture (Organic architecture, Prairie School, Usonian style), his tumultuous personal life, his difficult relationship with his mentor (Louis Sullivan), his most iconic works etc. By the end of the year I would have learned the ins and outs of people I am inspired by through books and documentaries. Here are other people I plan to learn more about:
Winston Churchill
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
Ada Lovelace
Benjamin Franklin
Helen Keller
John Nash
Isabella Stewart Gardner
Caroline Herrera
Ernest Hemingway
Catherine the Great
Ann Lowe
My dears, I hope you enjoyed this read. I cannot wait to write more on my journey to becoming a fine woman. I urge you to do this for four weeks and see what changes you notice. Make sure to write as well, it is important to document your progress.
Cheers to a very prosperous 2024!

Hair in RE4 remake
I know this is a niche interest, and this post will probably not reach the targeted audience (if they even exist), but I need to get this out of my head. I won't argue semantics of Leon's hair color in this post (it was always brown it's just blonde on this one). This is just the fun post about hair in RE4. I also made this post to briefly talk about hair in video games. So, RE4 remake introduced hair strands, while also introducing the most light blonde looking Leon ever made. Why? I believe hair strands technology in real time contributed to its look. Lighter hair (and I mean above Luis, even a medium brown hair would count on this) in hair strands proves difficult to be shaded in real time. Single scattering is enough to make the hair of Luis and Ada realistic and properly shaded, but not Leon's and Ashley's. Here's how single scattering looks with Leon's hair and another hair study by frostbite devs. It makes the shadows too dark and the original color disappears.
Both EA and Capcom reached the same solution to this (a solution proposed in 2008), which is double scattering. I won't bother you with the details (or maybe I could make a post about it). But double scattering is a way to estimate the complicated process of multiple scattering into 2 simpler ones. Something that would take maybe hours can be simplified and produce a similar result in seconds. This is a great solution for fast rendering of hair strands with light color. Again, double scattering is an estimation to simulate what the multiple scattering would do. It's a way to achieve an acceptable result that will be able to run in real time. A CGI movie wouldn't need to resort to this method.
Hair strands are being used both on the middle and left, on the right, it's the hair cards.
Image below is hair cards on the left and hair strands on the right.
Look how the hair is reacting to light and casting harsh shadows on top of Leon's hair, meanwhile the color in Ashley's looks overly bright, almost neon, and less realistic than the hair cards on the left (at least to my eyes). This is a consistent issue with hair strands and light hair. It overly reacts to light in weird ways. Even the devs' image for Dual Scattering above shows how overly bright the hair can get under certain lights. Ashley's light hair color gets uniformly bright, since the base was light to begin with, the difference isn't as intense as Leon's. It's no wonder everyone thought Leon was super blonde on RE4make. It seems that some shades of hair are harder to accurately depict the light reflection in the hair strands with dual scattering. In his case, the lights get too light, and the darks get too dark.
There are moments in the game Leon's hair looks black in the shadow and bright blonde in the light.
This isn't an exclusive issue of the RE engine. Dragon Age Veilguard also uses hair strands and dual scattering. Someone posted their custom character running around, and this is how it looks:
These are all in the same environment and the same character. There are angles in the shade where the hair looks almost black, and in the sun it looks like really bright blonde. It's an oddly similar behavior of the extreme light and dark to Leon's. This shows how certain shades of hair struggle under these circumstances. These wouldn't be an issue if the hair strand didn't have to be processed in real time. Hair strands in CGI movies wouldn't face this same challenge. At the end of Capcom's original video about this topic, they mention that they plan on improving on this. Using more ray tracing, contact shadows, and improving and optimizing indirect lighting quality. So maybe future games will look better. As for now, I think Leon's hair looked oddly inconsistent and too bright at times, especially considering his other appearances. Seeing his hair color vary so much during my gameplay made me really curious about why it was doing that, especially when the other characters were fairly consistent. New solutions to this may rise, or maybe I'll be stuck as being the only person who cares about this. The latter is more likely, I admit. Still, it's good to get this off my chest. I spent more time than I should have reading about this topic.

Thoughts on Defuntland's History of Animatronics.
-starting a history of disney animatroics with Homer's The Illiad. *chefs kiss* Kevin Perjurer should never stop telling stories like this.
-the RUR play - fucking horrifying, where can I find it?
-French is a beautiful language
"Real skin....real skin"
-When talking about how the disney Grandpa Chung's face skin would deteriorate, I assumed he was going to go "maybe thats why they used real skin.
-"no." -Walt Disney
-the California adventure bit had me spit a laughed so suddenly, and paused the episode to appreciate it.
-at the start of part 3. There is a lot of stuff about God in here. Like. A. Lot. Giving me Frankenstein vibes. Kevin, kevy, Mr. Defunctland, where we going with this? Are we as humans poor fathers/gods to our creations? Have we created life to reject it and turn it monstrous? Are we the monsters of this story?
-a lot of math and engineering here Kev.
-Lincoln had sort of legit cheekbones. "Unique"
-another pause at How TF did Walter "i want to be a dictator of an automous city in florida" Disney get technology for warheads?????
-is...is Lincoln christ in this metaphor???
-disney was such a shitty boss.
-and that's when the protests started.
-a 6 foot 7 robot Lincoln.
-soooo disney wanted to get rid of people...and have robots work instead???? Because the robots can't form a union????? Cue the RUR play.
-ah historical perfectionist anti union disney.....wants to create robots......
-"because I can't stop" walt disney on why he developed the lincoln animatronic. Big yikes my bud. Big yikes.
-PART 4
-a 6 foot 7 robot lincoln. Who would violently spasm and break his set. "It could kill you" - marc davis
-lincoln's great grandson crying at the world's fair is making me feel things.
-how TF was bradbury friends with Disney?? To get ideas for dystopia?
-bringing up a lot of monsters right now kev. Think we are getting back to the frankenstien stuff.
-kevin babe. Are we skipping over ada Lovelace?
-"the difference engine...the computer would not just be the new way to program animatronics, it would be the key to unlocking the next phase of mechanical life. A living machine, that appeared not just to move like a human, but to sense like one, to respond like one, to think like one. There's something inside us and we let it out."
Fuckkkkk So. We are just holding a mirror up to the horrors of our creation? Thanks kevin. Absolute banger of a line. Thanks for the existential dread.
I need kevin to get like awards for this shit. Seriously the best and most insightful Documentaries.
This. The disney Chanel theme song. The fastpass one. Garfield. All fucking top tier. The Epcot one is so beautiful too.
It's almost like he started by talking about defunct rides, and is now talking about a defunct culture. But as the culture is going under. And in true Kevin Perjurer fashion, he's starting at the beginning of the story. The idolization of business and consumerism and innovation for consumptions sake. The rot of leadership and how to make poor facsimiles.
He's not talking about how society is crumbling now, he's talking about the first termite that started eating away at the foundation. And I love him for it. I guess it's time to watch the fastpass video for fun.
#defunctland#disney parks#disneyland#walt disney#kevin perjurer#audio animatronic#audioanimatronic#the illiad#union busting#it cannot be overstated how shitty of a boss Disney was.

hey! I'm currently writing a paper discussing experiences of disabled and neurodivergent students at my uni (spoiler alert: it's not great lmao), and while I have a couple references so far (mostly Lund and Pearlstein) about the larger Disabled Student ExperienceTM I'm struggling to find academic papers talking about this, particularly since my field of study is psychology rather than disability theory/disability justice. are there any texts regarding this that you would reccommend? doing my best to lean on crip theory for this essay and you were the first person i thought of! no worries if you don't have the energy to answer this rn ofc, i hope you're having a good day ✨
omg what a fabulous & vital project! i’d love to hear more about your work both out of interest & to potentially refine my recommendations because this is such a complex, multifaceted area of experience + research + activism — i tried to draw from a variety of perspectives so you can dig deeper into what seems most relevant!
my number one recommendation is the book Academic Ableism by Jay Dolmage, i still need to read most of it rip but it’s absolutely considered foundational in this topic. the rest i’m gonna put under a cut because it got super long lol, i’ll also reblog to my disability sideblog @crippleprophet in case anyone else has suggestions!
best of luck with your work, i hope some of this is helpful! feel free to reach out for more recommendations, input, or encouragement❣️💖
on the built environment – eg, the physical campus & how it impacts students
if you’re in the US, this summary of colleges’ responsibilities under the ADA has been helpful for me (link).
Building Access by Aimi Hamraie
Accessibility for Historic Buildings: A Field Guide, 2nd Edition (link to pdf)
written by David Provost and revised by Joseph Hoefferle, Jr. as part of the University of Vermont Graduate Program in Historic Preservation
back in 2020 i used the first edition of this document in a project arguing my undergraduate university should make its historic buildings more accessible
lays out policies & options in tables with photo examples from their campus
Aimi Hamraie & Kelly Fritsch’s Crip Technoscience Manifesto (2019)
Catalyst: Feminism, Theory, Technoscience, 5(1), pp1-34.
this piece is honestly just incredibly life-giving for me in general so i highly recommend giving it a full read when you have time. specific parts that i thought might resonate with the experiences of students at your uni:
“user-initiated design” (Hendren & Lynch, cited p9)
“access as friction” (p10):
Emerging out of historical fights for disability rights, the terms accessibility and access are usually taken to mean disabled inclusion and assimilation into normative able-bodied relations and built environments. […] However, the etymology of the word access reveals two frictional meanings: access as “an opportunity enabling contact,” as well as “a kind of attack” (2016, p. 23). Taking access as a kind of attack reveals access-making as a site of political friction and contestation. While historically central to the fights for disability access, crip technoscience is nevertheless committed to pushing beyond liberal and assimilation-based approaches to accessibility, which emphasize inclusion in mainstream society, to pursue access as friction, particularly paying attention to access-making as disabled peoples’ acts of non-compliance and protest.
noncompliant users and assistive technology as friction (p11):
Lifchez and Winslow offer the concept of “non-compliant users,” illustrating this with an image of a powerchair user wheeling against traffic on a street without curb cuts (1979, p. 153). This technology-enabled movement against the flow of traffic marks anti-assimilationist crip mobility: not an attempt to integrate (as in the liberal approach to disability rights), but rather to use technology as a friction against an inaccessible environment.
collaborative mapping of (in)accessibility, something i know happens more informally among disabled students on many campuses (p15):
Unlike mainstream disability technoscience “crowdsourcing” projects, which invoke a charity model of disability wherein non-disabled people collect data but do not engage in disability culture or politics, emerging projects such as Mapping Access are making participatory access-making the basis of a kind of technoscientific “access intimacy” (Mingus, 2017) through practices such as “critical crowdsourcing” of accessibility data (Hamraie, 2018). […] Collaborative mapping visualizes the evidence of inaccessibility while creating opportunities for collective response. Crip cartographic technoscience thus enables more critical design, and interrogation of the everyday built environment.
access to education
the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities includes the right to inclusive education (Article 24). scholarship in this area is about primary & secondary education, not postsecondary / university education, but a lot of the concepts can be applied
in addition to inclusive education, “universal design for learning” (UDL) might be a helpful keyword but it definitely trends toward the liberal as a whole
“Hidden contradictions and conditionality: conceptualisations of inclusive education in international human rights law” (2013) by Bronagh Byrne (link)
references the importance of identifying barriers as a step in the process of accessible education, which depending on your work may be a nice succinct justification of its necessity (p234):
Inclusion ‘necessitates the removal of the material, ideological, political and economic barriers that legitimate and reproduce in equality and discrimination in the lives of disabled people’ (Barton and Armstrong 2001, 214). According to this view, an identification of barriers within the school’s environment, teaching and learning strategies, and attitudes that prevent the full participation of children with disabilities, will also be required.
argues for a focus on inability of schools to meet students’ needs rather than students’ inability to conform to an ableist environment (for example, p242):
International human rights law has conditionalised the right to inclusive education for children with disabilities by making inclusion contingent upon the extent of individual rather than institutional or structural deficits.
psychological/emotional impact on disabled students
“psycho-emotional disablism” may be a useful search term for you, with the disclaimer that a substantial portion of scholars in feminist disability studies are TERFs / express “gender critical” beliefs / etc. so like i’m listing one paper i came across that looked relevant + two from my grad program’s recommended reading, but i haven’t read these & suggest vetting authors before citing them:
“The psycho-emotionally disabling impact of academic landscapes of exclusion: experiences of a disabled postgraduate in perpetual lockdown” (2023) by Joanne Hunt (link)

Kenji headcanons
Okay so first he has dissociative amnesia so his memory just blanks and gaps lot of the events since his friend died and just in general
Audhd(self explanatory)
transmasc (his village didn't really have a strong concept of gender anyways tho)
Dyscalculia- so he's not great at anything to do with numbers or amounts or distance or direction or anything adjacent to that
So he actually would get lost probably as much as Ranpo except he's constantly asking people on the street for directions (it helps him make friends)
Has absolutely been scammed many times before because even in bartering he does not know easily how to tell a fair deal
Does not know how to tell time at all if you ask him what time it is he'll say something like 'still light out'
Technically doesn't live in the agency dorm (his main job is farming afterall) but he does grow plants and flowers outside the dorm because he want his friends to have some nature with them in the city
He also tends a smaller garden on top of the ADA building roof (like in WAN but I think he does more that that eventually)
he really likes bugs and spiders.
High pain tolerance (that boy has been shot and stabbed and works hard in fields he knows how to withstand physical strain and injury(not that he gets injured often(if he's hungry or angry most blunt force things cant injure him unless they're from an ability and also neither can animal bites)(if his ability is strong enough at the time he can also have some resistance to non-ability based stabbing) slicing/slashing affects him like anyone else)
He's a bit of a "I know a guy" person for everything. Even like majorly concerning things that this child should not know a guy for
Sends weird city things back to the village (like stop signs and lunchables and a scooter and a manhole cover and a security camera and a flashlight)
His body doesn't know how to metabolize foods or drinks with too much sugar or artificial stuff in them or overly processed foods so eating or drinking them with make him really sick
Also cannot handle spicy food. He can handle spice, just not spicy
On the subject of food: he has really unhealthy eating habits (will only really eat at night before going to sleep(if his poor internal regulation skills don't make him forget he's hungry) or if it's with other people after he's done everything he needs to do)
Will take anything his friends say as gospel if he doesn't already know otherwise.
Drinks milk straight from the carton like a madman
Strong tight hugs(boy is restraining himself to not hurt peopl, unless it's Dazai. Dazai he can squeeze)
Does not like overly loud or cluttered noises(unless he's causing them)
Accidently gets the ADA in trouble for so much collateral damage.
His parents are fully still alive (he was mostly raised communally though, a lot of things in his village were group efforts)
Fully does not to hesitate to ask for help when he needs it but because he's oddly capable on his own he often doesn't actually think he needs it unless it's specific things that he already knows he's not good at
Very overconfident in his ability to physically withstand things
Not very curious if it's not city related actually. He's content with his own knowledge. (Widlife documentaries are like cocomelon to him though, he will not look away)
tends to be either really late or really early to things. No in between
He has so many freckles
After his friend died he developed claustrophobia and a fear of drowning(though the latter isn't as strong as the claustrophobia)
Bites his nails and pencils and erasers and stuff
Gets sick pretty often. His immune system isn't used to being around so many people and the new environment
He can cook really well from scratch though (like literally bro can make flour from wheat)
Can't really use most technology well.
Not a headcanon but just a timeline reminder: Kenji joined the agency two months before Atsushi
Back to headcanons:
Kenji only got his ability after his friend died(I'm still tryna timeline this. Kunikida says the flood was "a long time ago" but Fukuzawa investigated it and found Kenji and Kenji looked the same and I doubt he found him then left and then awhile later was like "hey let's go back and get him actually" so I'm tryna decide when exactly it was. I like to think maybe 4 months before the start of canon and 2 months before he joined max? Idk id love feedback)
He doesn't remember the days surrounding his friend's death either
His memories resurfaces about a week later after the wreckage of the house was already clear and the villagers wouldn't tell him the details of how it had happened except for how he had saved them from the flood
Would break stuff on accident a whole lot way more often before joining the agency and passing his entrance exam like it was a very very common occurrence
accidentally hurt a number of farm animals this way, some chickens got worse than that cuz tiny
Spent a lot of time sleeping for the first bit because normal eating schedule would knock him out three times a day and also because he was scared of hurting people
without his ability he's still pretty fit because his strength ability is a recent thing but since getting it his actual body has slowly been getting weaker and weaker(and as he loses muscle mass, has also been losing weight at an unhealthy rate, not that his eating habits help with that)
Gets really bad motion sickness in vehicles
Uhhh other stuff I'm forgetting

okay full on ranting mode now
so i absolutely love genetics, okay? but the problem comes when ppl talk about genetic recombination. how they alter genes for human benefit. that's a part of research, i agree, but i personally feel it is unethical. like nature ke real state mein tum apna taang kyu ada rahe ho? not everything is perfect and not everything that's not useful to us needs to be changed. why don't they let things stay like they are?
maine ek baar ek article padha tha. about mosquitoes. so in some states like florida, they genetically altered a few male mosquitoes so when they reproduce with females to form eggs, the female babies would die in the egg itself, hence stopping the mosquito growth completely. i read it out to my mum and she was like "wow that's so great! india wale aisa kyu nhi sochte?" and that made me really sad. kyuki they're terminating a whole species of mosquitoes. why? because they're annoying. and might cause diseases to us. which are totally curable btw.
do they understand the level of damage they're causing in the ecosystem? and even if they aren't, who are they to decide which species gets to live and which doesn't? just because humans have the brain and technology doesn't mean they can do anything they want to, right? and what's sad is, ppl aren't even understanding that what they're doing might not be right. they're becoming so single-minded that kuch bhi karo, bas humare ache ke liye. and that's gonna backfire so hard one day, trust me. everybody's going mad scientist and nobody's realizing that.
i myself want to go into the research field and not only because i'm interested but also test my morals. to see if i'm so easily broken and if i can be corrupted too. and if possible, try to bring some change in the system
I think capitalism has taken over research. In fact my prof and i had a discussion on this one day that today the only researches that are going ahead are ones that can bring profit. So i think i understand why some people would choose to do that. Try to do something ethical and you won't get funds to do anything so easily

Headcanon about my favorites BSD characters (and also my highest kin) : Ranpo Edogawa.
1 - No one in the ADA want to watch a movie with him, he always end up spoiling everything and say "It was too easy to guess, why don't you understand?"
2 - He hates dark chocolate, he thinks it's not sweet enough. That's why as soon as we offer him some, he gives them to Fukuzawa, Yosano or Kunikida.
3 - He often blames things on others. Is there no more candy? He will blame Dazai. Even if he knows that it's bad, he's used to doing it, so the ADA just don't care anymore.
4 - He always smells like chocolate or candy, which is one of the reasons why Atsushi can always find Ranpo when the detective is lost.
5 - He dislikes being complimented on his physique. Because for him, the physical does not create a detective, and will prefer to be complimented on his intelligence.
6 - He actually dislikes playing chess, except if there's something to win (Like chocolate, candy…)
7 - During the important events, while everyone in the ADA drinks wine except minors, Ranpo drinks his ramune in silence.
8 - When he was still in his police academy, he blew up a computer in technology because a friend bet him that he wouldn't be able to. But none of these two expected the computer to ACTUALLY blow up...
9 - No one in the ADA saw him cry. He said "Everyone relies on me, if I cry, there's no hope."
10 - Dazai is actually surprised that Ranpo still has hope for humanity. I mean, Ranpo knows EVERYONE's backstory. He knows how cruel humans are, and they were even cruel to him. It's something Dazai could never understand..
11 - He's actually good with kids, but since he's not patient with them.
12 - Ranpo is like shazam, when someone doesn't know the song, they ask him and he gives the titles. Even if sometimes he gives the wrong titles on purpose because he likes seeing them annoyed.
13 - Someone already told him "I love you but you're autistic" and the person walked away.
14 - The weirdest insult he received was "your mother drinks pasta water". And the person was really serious. Ranpo just ended up laughing.
15 - When he was still in school, Ranpo commented on every argument. For example, a girl and a boy were arguing, the boy told the girl "b*tch", then Ranpo would say to the girl "he insulted you of a b*tch" even if she heard it correctly.
16 - Due to that, his teacher once asked him if he wanted to be a journalist. He answered "No, why ?", and the teacher told him "Because even if there's nothing to say, you still talk"
17 - He and his mother were very close, and they understood each other. He really felt like he was understood by her, and when she died, he called her number constantly hoping that one day she would pick up. He was in denial for a very long time. But he could only hear his mother's voice through the answering machine. He called her number to hear he voice, even with the answering machine, when he didn't feel great.
18 - Ranpo once started a fight with someone who said "I want to have ADHD and autism so bad"
19 - He once made his P.E teacher cry, but she deserved it so he don't feel guilty right now.
20 - Ranpo is BAD for gifts. Like, really. He's always stressed when someone's birthday is close or when it's Christmas.

(... I can't remember where I read this or something but apparently Village wasn't supposed to be a mainline game it was supposed to be Revelations 3 I wonder what that story would be like)
I am currently playing RE5 with my sister not for awhile as technology is being a pain (also distractions) and sis only knows what RE5 tells us about code veronica is what RE5 tells us which is when it Code Veronica takes place and at the minute we are both of the opinion that we have to know the story of Code Veronica especially when Wesker shows up.
I am of the opinion that a way for a RE5 remake to work is to have it like Revelations 2 as in a dual campaign with different characters so Josh and Sheva could work together (more time with Sheva) then realise they're out of their depth or they get the info on Jill being alive and call Chris in themselves and then we play as Chris and Sheva with Sheva taking point because of her familarity with the area and level headed-ness also make it so when Chris meets up with her he has his RE6 team you know the ones? they all die at the start and it's just? sucks to be them? Basically make us care about them make us feel sad when they die.
Hello! Sorry! I forgot about this ask sitting in my inbox.
I agree with everything except about Chris having his RE6 team with him. Sheva and Josh's entire team gets killed in the original, so it feels disingenuous to have a bunch of white guys go into the country to save everyone. Chris being alone when he goes there does several things:
Firmly establishes him as the outsider and a target.
Reiterates that when Jill, who everyone else has accepted as dead, took that fall he was alone in refusing to let it go for years.
Keeps the cast small so we have a chance to actually delve into these characters and their motivations.
Chris not being able to blend into the crowd because of his whiteness works in the favor of people who want him dead. It won't take much to point him out when he leaves a building, find him on cameras, or simply ask a local "hey, have you seen this guy?". The fading into the crowd he would be used to in Europe, Canada, and the USA is null here, and that's such an interesting concept I know the devs would never capitalize on. If he had a group with him they could feign as a tourist group or something if they really needed a disguise, and that just isn't as interesting.
Secondly, Chris being sent in primarily alone not only shows his stubbornness but allows us to see the cracks of corruption within the BSAA.
Chris's line of "Do you ever feel like you're expendable?" after asking for back-up multiple times only to be denied? That's great! It works way better when he's the only white guy in the group! Sheva had her back up, and she lost it the same time as Josh did. Chris going there alone and having his requests denied to the frustration of everyone else, also probably means he's been wasting resources hunting for Jill. They don't want to spend anymore money or waste anymore time on his wild goose chases, so they don't.
The fact that the situation gets worse and worse, and the BSAA exerting a show of force would be helpful but refrains regardless? Wow! That adds a necessary layer for me to understand Chris in RE8 and how he works with the organization he fucking founded. It establishes there's something wrong. The BSAA had so much money and resources to spend on tech and weapons in Revelations 1, so with RE5 as the follow up you go "hmmm, where did that money go?" Bad places! It went bad places!
Finally, small casts in a video game work the best for the narrative. RE6 was overloaded with characters and that was another thing the game suffered for outside of the strange mechanics and required co-op(with or without ai) feature. Ada didn't need a damn partner for her run, not sorry. AAA games have decided to throw optimization out the window in favor of "realistic graphics" and if RE4R sits at a hideous 50+GB with their cast size, it would be worse adding Chris' whole RE6 team.
Sure them being there might develop their characters, but it would take attention away from Sheva and Josh. They definitely wouldn't cut off Wesker or Excella's screen time. They need to establish the baddies, and this includes that annoying little guy in the suit they were tailing for half the game. And since RE5 had such a mixed reception including game journalists going through efforts to find white professors who study race theory to "prove the game wasn't racist"....I just...let's not center more white people when they're killing a bunch of infected black people within an imaginary african country.

PROJECTS:
The Wolves of Evergreen (TWoE):
A comic that is in development (sorta)
In a world where humans never existed, where canines are the dominant species, there is a forest called the Evergreen. Residing within its shadowed heart is a cult – The Children of Ek'tul – split into two Packs who worship the Wolf God, Ek'tul. SilverPack, whose members are known as The Left Divines, is named for the Left Side of Ek'tul: Silver with Red eyes. GoldenPack, whose members are known as The Right Divines, is named for the Right Side of Ek'tul: Golden with Green eyes.
Members of each Pack are to be in His image, and the two sides must not co-mingle. Pups born without the traits of their Pack, or born from an unholy mixing of the Packs, are culled upon birth. Every Pup, at a certain age, goes through an Initiation; if they survive a fatal wound, it means Ek'tul accepts them as His Child.
The story follows multiple characters, but the main focus is SilverClaw and his coming of age journey. During his Initiation, he meets a strange deity – Ek'ran, son of Ek'tul – a Golden Wolf with Red eyes. He later comes across a dog – Snowfall – in the woods, leg trapped under a rock. A strange power activates when he tries to save him, giving him unprecedented strength. Red horns burst from his head. He frees Snowfall and returns him home (Snowfall never stops thinking about him. Snowfall runs away one day, when the pressure is too great, and sets off to find him).
Ek'ran whispers in his head from that day on, promising him great strength and power.
And he's so, so hungry..
Flowers and Formaldehyde (F&F):
TWoE's sister comic. I fully intend to release them at the same time. This one's at about the same stage of development as TWoE.
Laying unconscious, unharmed, in the purple inferno of her mother's house; that's how Rupert found her.
Celine is a half-dragon, in a world of magical anthropomorphic mammals who fear dragons for their unimaginably strong powers. Dragons live in the mountains, far from mammalian society, and Celine yearns to go. She must reach the full potential of her healing power.
She must learn to bring back the dead.
Rupert's wife, Amelia, died a few years before Celine was found. Rupert, a mad scientist and veritable genius, has preserved her body as a wet specimen and spent every day since her death trying to find a way to bring her back. Seeing Celine in that fire, he knew she was his best hope. He brought her home and raised her.. or, rather, his sons raised her while he spiraled deeper into obsession..
Celine wants her family to return to a normal she has never known. One brother has left for the equivalent of Silicon Valley; the other tries to keep everything together but is often away, on the road with his band. It is up to Celine, with the help of her friends, to learn how to bring their mother back.
God, she just wants her brother back.
Year 3000 (y3k):
A concept I very much intend to make into an animated series if I can! The title may change. This one's much less developed than the previous two.
Cobin Grey has worked hard his whole life to scrape together the money for his very own spaceship. And now, finally, he's got one; a real fixer-upper, and a crew hired off Space Craigslist.
Out in space at last, running odd jobs as a courier ship. It's all he ever wanted. His best friend at his side, his totally normal dog, his shady ex-military CMO and his over-zealous mechanic. A massive mega-corporation spanning galaxies, with a growing rebellion against it.
Nothing could possibly go wrong!
Fanfic about the TNG episode The Most Toys, the working title of which I will not spoil:
;)
Miscellaneous:
A furry zombie apocalypse game, where the zombie virus is rabies
A slice of life story about cats in a midwestern suburb
A story about escaped experiments from a lab; a pink wolfdog named Pink, a capuchin monkey named Taboo, and an aloof red-and-black raven named Edgar
A story about an opossum, rescued as a joey, who grew into an anthropomorphic opossum man. He is the only anthropomorphic animal in the world, and he works at a grocery store
Medieval Child Isekai: A medieval peasant named Eleanor was abducted by aliens and put into cryosleep. She's awoken by an alien named Moonbeam, far in the future, when the facility sits ransacked and abandoned. The two explore future Earth together
MLP Gen Fae: A fan MLP generation. A group of ponies set out to explore the forest, rumored to contain Fae. They get more than they bargained for
I also have various other ocs and projects. I will add them once they're a lil more developed (but you may very well see them!!)
WHEW! anyways..
linktree (contains commission link! oooo do you want commissions? jingles keys ooo commission!!) https://linktr.ee/wisteriaclaw

On Ada Lovelace…
“On her death, an anonymous obituary recorded (Examiner 1852): ‘The Countess of Lovelace was thoroughly original, and the poet's temperament was all that was hers in common with her father. Her genius, for genius she possessed, was not poetic, but metaphysical and mathematical, her mind having been in the constant practice of investigation, and with rigour and exactness.’”
“Lovelace was respected by her scientific peers: for example Babbage wrote to Faraday in 1843 of ‘that Enchantress who has thrown her magical spell around the most abstract of Sciences and has grasped it with a force which few masculine intellects (in our own country at least) could have exerted over it’ (James 1996, 164).”
“Woolley asserts that ‘Ada's notes are not to be assessed as a work of mathematics, but as a work of a more speculative, experimental nature ... She showed what imagination could reveal that mathematics alone could not . . . This is what poetical science had enabled her to do: see something that would remain invisible to the rest of the world for a century more . . .’”
“In line with Pestalozzi's ideas, practical skills were encouraged, whether playing with toy bricks [LB 118, Item 5] or dissecting a dragonfly [LB 118, Item 6]. Shortly before her father's death, Lady Byron wrote to him of Ada's ‘mechanical ingenuity — her self-invented occupations being the manufacture of ships and boats' (Prothero 1904, 330). In 1828 she became fascinated by flying, asked Lady Byron for a book on the anatomy of birds and 'had great pleasure in looking at the wing of a dead crow' She made some wings from paper, silk and feathers: ‘My wings are going on prosperously but do not expect to see a pair of well proportioned wings though they are quite sufficiently so for me to explain to you all my ideas on the subject of flying’ [LB 41, Ada Byron to Lady Byron, 7 April 1828, f 57v].”
She hoped to write a book on 'Flyology,’ and she had plans for a flying machine that would be powered by steam, the cutting-edge technology of the age: ‘a thing in the form of a horse with a steamengine in the inside so contrived as to move an immense pair of wings, fixed on the outside of the horse, in such a manner as to carry it up into the air while a person sits on its back’ [LB 41, Ada Byron to Lady Byron, 7 April 1828, ff 57v-58г].”

Reliable IT Services in the Era of Speed

Information technology (IT) is deeply rooted in the way information is stored, processed and communicated; therefore, it can be established that the earliest form of data was the abacus (2400 B.C.), a tool that was used for arithmetic operations in the ancient times in Mesopotamia, Rome and even Japan and China. Taking some more steps into the future, it was Charles Babbage who, during the 19th century, invented the analytical engine, a mechanical digital computer designed to be programmable, and with Ada Lovelace’s first computer algorithm ever written, the whole IT world took a significant step towards the creation of something that would eventually change the way computers are regarded.
As the years went by, these new discoveries evolved and adapted to new contexts, offering the world the modern type of IT (starting in the early 2000s) that is able to encompass various aspects such as managed IT services (cloud computing or cybersecurity), having a vital role to almost every aspect of everyday life. Although having started as a mechanical manner of counting and storing data, throughout time, by means of innovation and brilliant minds, it evolved into a tremendous infrastructure with great possibilities of support for any modern life system.
The Importance of Outsourcing to a Reliable Provider
In a world where information travels maybe faster than the speed of sound, being able to make the best out of the context is mandatory for a safe space and for the needed computer support. Managed IT services have come a long way in the last decades, being able to provide the much needed manner of outsourcing in order to keep pace with the changes. The most relevant advantages of outsourcing are the following:
Increased security: managed IT services done by professionals help with data protection and everything ramifying from it;
Specific expertise: professional services offer customized expertise to their clients, helping them make the right decisions;
Enhanced performance: advanced tools and already tested processes help with the overall smooth running of things.
A reliable provider can be found by thorough research, considering reviews, experience and way of handling potentially difficult situations. The innovations that have been changing the course of history are made through hard work and reliable support, thus finding the right one is worthy in the end, even though it might take some time to.
Virginia’s Take on Computer Help
Alexandria, an emblematic town in Virginia, is well-known for its various manners of handling computer support the right way. Experience is one of the defining attributes that has shaped Alexandria into the managed IT services hub it is nowadays. Therefore, finding the right type of computer support in Alexandria has been accessible for many people in the state of Virginia, knowing the level of proficiency in regards to it.
Whether a company or an individual in need of computer-related help, the manner in which it is provided plays a crucial part in the outcome; therefore, before looking for these kinds of services, it is important to establish why they are needed. It can be either with regards to cybersecurity, cloud computing, managed backup or technical support and managing to identify the primary needs is very helpful in locating the most suitable computer support in Alexandria.
The Commonwealth of Virginia is very well known due to its cybersecurity innovations, being a national leader in this field and at the top of talent development in the industry. Therefore, it goes without saying that there is no better place to find the right managed IT services than at the heart of it all.

Technology’s Place in the World: A Source for Progress
Considering the way in which technology has been improving the quality of life, it is rather obvious that its evolution is of great importance in the scheme of things. Apart from being a connector between different cultures and borders, it also stands as a powerhouse for the growth of economy and innovation, being a door opener for new opportunities and advancements (such as artificial intelligence, for example).
The quality of life also stands in the choices made and whether they align with the general well-being in the long run. Therefore, technology plays an important part in this field, too, as health and safety are important pillars in a well-balanced life. A great example is medicine, which has also known a great amount of improvements due to new discoveries being made with the help of innovation, as well as brilliant minds doing the hard work.
To conclude, acknowledging technology’s involvement in everyday life as a shaping tool is what helps being up to date with every new advancement being made; choosing to be a part of these changes is what helps one live a life filled with the innovation that contours the best evolution has to offer.
Shaping the Future Beyond Boundaries
Stepping outside of the comfort zone and taking significant steps into the world of the future takes not only courage, but also the knowledge to know which way to go. Considering how artificial intelligence has evolved, from a simple task manager to a continually improving decision-making one, it is safe to assume that the future will be shaped with even more innovation. There is also the matter of virtual reality, as well as the augmented one, which have helped tremendously with the transformation in fields like healthcare, education or remote work; these new technologies have helped shape the way the world works, by improving it in previously unimaginable ways.
When it comes to privacy and cybersecurity, it has become more and more vital to protect digital identities and data with the advancements technology has known, therefore this matter is being thoroughly and continually studied in order to be improved in a constant manner.
All in all, the entire world has gone through so many changes in the last decades that keeping up with everything might seem exhausting at times, but in order to thrive and survive being up to date with the newness of it all is crucial.

How Performance Optimization Services Are Powering the Future of the Automobile Industry
The automobile industry isn’t just about engines and horsepower anymore—it’s about performance at every level. From software to systems, from factories to dashboards, optimizing how things work behind the scenes is just as important as what’s under the hood.
That’s where Performance Optimization Services come in. Whether you're an auto manufacturer, parts supplier, dealership, or fleet operator, these services help make your systems faster, smarter, and more efficient—saving time, money, and a whole lot of frustration.
Let’s take a closer look at how.
What Do We Mean by “Performance Optimization”?
Great question. In simple terms, Performance Optimization Services help you:
Fine-tune your digital systems
Improve your operational workflows
Reduce delays, waste, and downtime
Boost customer satisfaction and employee productivity
In the context of the automobile industry, that can mean everything from improving vehicle software performance to making your manufacturing systems more efficient.
Real-World Benefits for the Auto Industry

That means more cars produced, fewer errors, and lower costs per unit.
3. Lower Fuel Consumption & Emissions
Yes, optimization even touches the vehicle’s performance itself.
Engine tuning, aerodynamics, transmission behavior—all of these can be refined using data and performance services to:
Improve fuel efficiency
Lower emissions
Meet sustainability targets and regulations
For eco-conscious manufacturers and consumers, that’s a win-win.
4. Smarter Fleet Management
If you manage a fleet—whether it’s taxis, delivery vans, or rental cars—performance optimization helps you:
Monitor vehicle health in real time
Prevent breakdowns before they happen
Optimize routes and fuel usage

Here’s the real kicker: performance optimization isn’t just about technology. It’s about improving the human experience—for your customers, employees, technicians, and partners.
A faster system means:
Less stress for staff
Better experiences for customers
Stronger brand loyalty
And yes, more revenue for your business

Expert Architects Commercial Projects for Business Success
When it comes to shaping the spaces where businesses thrive, architects for commercial projects play a pivotal role. From retail outlets and office complexes to hospitality venues and industrial hubs, a commercial project’s success is intricately tied to architectural vision, planning precision, and construction execution. The right architectural design doesn’t just deliver functionality—it adds aesthetic value, maximizes spatial efficiency, and ultimately enhances the user experience.
In today’s highly competitive real estate and business landscape, choosing the right architects commercial projects depends on much more than technical ability. It requires a deep understanding of business goals, zoning regulations, sustainability practices, and client engagement.
The Unique Demands of Commercial Architecture
Unlike residential architecture, commercial buildings need to be designed with a broad user base in mind. These spaces must accommodate employees, clients, customers, and suppliers, all while maintaining brand identity and regulatory compliance.
Architects for commercial projects need to consider:
Functionality: How will people move through the space? What is the best way to create workflow efficiency?
Durability: What materials offer both aesthetic appeal and long-term performance in high-traffic areas?
Compliance: How will the design meet local zoning codes, fire safety standards, and ADA accessibility requirements?
Scalability: Can the space be modified as the business grows or changes?
Professional architects commercial projects are equipped to handle these challenges, translating complex requirements into smart, buildable designs.
The Planning Phase: More Than Just Blueprints
The planning stage of any commercial project is critical to its long-term success. This is where architects for commercial projects shine—by interpreting the business’s vision and translating it into architectural plans that meet budget, timeline, and functionality goals.
This includes:
Site analysis: Reviewing geographical, environmental, and infrastructural aspects of the property.
Feasibility studies: Determining if the project is financially and legally viable.
Programming: Gathering input from stakeholders to outline space needs and priorities.
Concept development: Crafting initial design concepts that reflect branding and functional requirements.
An experienced commercial architect understands how to manage expectations while anticipating future needs.
Design Innovation That Reflects Brand Identity
Architecture can—and should—express your business’s identity. A thoughtfully designed commercial space not only attracts customers and tenants but also fosters a positive brand image.
Great architects for commercial projects merge innovation with practicality. Whether it’s incorporating natural lighting, using environmentally friendly materials, or integrating smart technologies, the design should reflect a commitment to both style and sustainability.
For example, a cutting-edge tech company might require a modern, open-concept office with collaborative workspaces. In contrast, a high-end law firm may need private offices, soundproofing, and a polished reception area. The architecture must align with the brand message.
Construction Oversight and Project Management
Once the design is approved, the next crucial phase begins—bringing the vision to life. Architects commercial projects aren’t just designers; they’re also project managers. They coordinate with engineers, interior designers, general contractors, and city inspectors to ensure every detail is executed as planned.
Responsibilities often include:
Site supervision
Budget monitoring
Timeline management
Change order documentation
Quality assurance
Having an architect involved throughout the build helps protect the owner’s interests and keeps the project on course.
Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Practices
Today’s commercial developers are placing increasing value on sustainability. Green building practices not only benefit the environment but also reduce long-term operating costs. Commercial architects can integrate energy-saving systems such as:
Solar panels
Energy-efficient HVAC units
Daylighting strategies
High-performance glazing
Rainwater harvesting
With sustainable design expertise, architects for commercial projects deliver value beyond aesthetics—providing cost savings and contributing to environmental stewardship.
The Long-Term Value of Good Design
Investing in high-quality commercial architecture yields long-term dividends. Businesses that prioritize architectural design often see higher occupancy rates, greater customer satisfaction, and stronger brand positioning.
Additionally, well-designed commercial properties tend to:
Appreciate in value
Require less maintenance
Adapt more easily to new tenants or business models
Contribute positively to their communities
Good architecture is more than a structure—it’s a strategic asset.
Choosing the Right Architect: What to Look For
When selecting architects for commercial projects, business owners should consider:
Portfolio diversity: Has the architect worked on projects similar in scale and scope?
Licensing and credentials: Are they certified and well-regarded in the industry?
Client references: What do past clients say about their experience?
Design philosophy: Does their approach align with your goals and values?
Communication skills: Are they responsive, transparent, and easy to collaborate with?
The relationship between client and architect is a partnership. Clear communication and shared vision are key to project success.
Future Trends in Commercial Architecture
As the business world evolves, so do architectural trends. Here’s what’s shaping the future:
Flexible spaces: Designs that support hybrid work and adaptable interiors.
Technology integration: Smart buildings with IoT-enabled systems for lighting, HVAC, and security.
Wellness-focused design: Biophilic elements, air quality systems, and ergonomic planning.
Mixed-use developments: Commercial spaces that incorporate residential and recreational features.
Net-zero buildings: Designs aiming for zero energy consumption and reduced carbon footprints.
Forward-looking architects commercial projects stay ahead of these trends, delivering spaces that meet both present-day needs and future demands.
Conclusion
A well-executed commercial building begins with thoughtful, professional design. Skilled architects for commercial projects don’t just build structures—they shape the environments where business happens, creativity thrives, and communities grow. From initial concept to final walkthrough, expert guidance ensures that every detail aligns with your business goals, branding, and budget.
If you're planning a commercial development and need visionary leadership combined with technical excellence, trust the expertise of Dov Hadas Architect. With a proven record in high-performance architectural design and a commitment to client success, they bring your commercial vision to life—on time, on budget, and built to inspire.
