Ask Game: Does your MCs and LIs celebrate Halloween? If yes, how? Costumes? Candy?

Sorry for not answering on time! Life got in the way 🙈

But yes, they definitely do! Here's how two of my MC's celebrate Halloween with their LIs 🎃

Perfect Match - Arielle x Hayden:

You best believe they take Halloween VERY seriously.

They go all out on the lights, the decorations, the costumes, etc.

They even buy a special pumpkin costume for Dipper! (Sloane thinks it's absolutely adorable)

As for their own costumes, they both decide to dress up in a couple's costume. Arielle dresses up as Sally and Hayden as Jack from the Nightmare before Christmas.

They buy a ton of candy beforehand, so they give some out to the kids that are trick or treating in their neighborhood.

After they hand out the rest of the candy, they head out to have some fun of their own.

They both go to a Halloween nightclub where they proceed to dance the night away!

Crimes of Passion - Valentina x Trystan:

At first, Valentina isn't keen on celebrating Halloween. At all. Her plans involve staying in and watching horror movies all night long.

However, after some persuasion, Trystan manages to convince her otherwise.

While they don't dress up, they do get some free candy in the nearby stores that Trystan insists on trying because he's never had "American candy" before.

He hates it, but eats it all anyway.

Trystan then pulls the detective toward the annual NYC Halloween parade that he's read about. Much to her chagrin.

They stand in the crowded sidelines, watching all the dozens of various people in costumes as they march through the streets.

Trystan excitedly discusses all his favorite, and least favorite, costumes that he sees as they pass by. And the detective can't help but chuckle at his childlike enthusiasm.

After the parade is over, they head back home, snuggle up on the couch, and watch some classic Halloween movies until they fall asleep together.

Ariel: Her name is Hayden Stewart.

During her short life, Ariel had only experienced love once, second handed. Her parents love was the most pure thing she had ever seen, and she knew that that was exactly what she wanted. Even though her mother has died when she was still a child, the one thing that would he burned in her mind forever, was that. Looking at Hayden, she was a jumbled mess of emotions. For one, she hated that he smoked, and she was a little afraid of him, but at the same time, seeing him step away, made her want to run towards him and kiss him, and have all his sorrows brushed away with the touch of hel lips upon his. She was curious as to what he was thinking, as she stared at him, words coming out of his mouth, faded by her thoughts. The whole events from the previous hours were all blended together, walking in on him, running away. He must’ve think she was ridiculous, or at least crazy. She had her reasons to run away, of course, but he didn’t know them. Would she ever be able to explain, and make sense? It didn’t really make sense to her completely, so how would it to him?

Thinking long and hard about the question, she wasn’t sure how to answer it. Instead, she just kept looking at him, the way he was leaning on the wall casually, smoking his cigarette with his injured hand, wrapped around the tie as the makeshift bandage she had managed to put on. Both looking at it, he thanked her. She opened her mouth to say something - what, she didn’t know- and no words came out of her mouth. Closing it again, she nodded, and only after that moment, she realized how cold it really was. She was barefoot and her coat was on the couch inside, her shoulders and arms left uncovered where freezing by now. And so were her feet. Oh, her feet. How’d they hurt. On the coldest nights, the glass shard remains inside them bothered her. But it didn’t matter to her. Closing the gap between them, she took the cigarette out of his hand, carefully put it out, and then continued on to remove the tie. Once again, kissing his knuckles one by one, she carefully laid his hand down, and when she was done, kept closing the distance between the two, until their faces where inches apart. Sure, he was taller than her, but looking up, she wanted that distance between them to feel irrelevant. “Hayden?” She asked once again.

After a while, Ariel woke up. Opening her eyes slightly, as she didn’t want Hayden - if he was awake that was - to notice. And awake he was. He had risen from his desk and was at the fireplace, poking around it with a metal pole. His figure, lit up by the fire, appeared dark, and Ariel was amused by the irony. His name was actually Dark, and he seemed like a dark person, but he was turning out to be the complete opposite. He stood tall, ominous before the fireplace. What was it, that had attracted her to him? She wondered. He was nothing like she would’ve ever imagined she’d fall for. He added another log to the fire, and while it caught on and the flames rose, she was grateful his back was turned towards her. That way, she could stare all she wanted, and he wouldn’t be able to see. Once he stood up again, she closed her eyes, merely leaving a space to see him walk towards the balcony. It was a cold night, that much she was able to gather when the sliding doors were opened by him, and left that way.

Everything was quiet, despite them being on a club. The only sound, a faint hum of what she assumed was the music, but other than that, the night was peaceful. She waited for a while before standing up, leaving her coat on the sofa and not caring to put on her heels, ignoring the cold floor as her feet touched it. Walking towards the balcony, she could see her shadow leading, appearing taller and taller as she closed the way between her and the sliding doors. Hayden was outside, reclined on the railing, looking out to the horizon. As she moved closer to him, quietly and gracefully - if one could say she was capable of such a thing, giving her clumsiness - she was almost certain he had noticed her shadow. She imagined herself reaching him from behind, wrapping her arms around his waist, her face resting on the hollows of his back. Instead, she walked right beside him, resting her hands on the railing, cold as ice, and sighed audibly, but without the intention to do so. “Hayden?” she asked in a whisper, that faded as her breath, visible before her, did as well. 

Pulling a cigarette from his deck, he wedged it between his lips, lighter flickering as it wavered in the breeze. The light gave out to the flowing air as it picked up and whipped around his face. With yet another sigh of exhaustion, he pulled it back up towards his mouth, a stilted breath as the cigarette took to the flame, a bright organ glow from the end as he slipped the lighter back into his pocket. H hadn’t noticed she’d risen until the faint footfalls on the polished floor could be heard, the soft padding of bare feet, there was a tightness across his back as he was suddenly aware of her eyes on him, his body almost frozen to the spot. She was out on the balcony but didn’t say anything for the longest time, the one and only sound from her lips after everything that had happened was his name. Nothing about him was sweet or innocent, in fact, he was the very opposite, but his name upon her lips sounded just like that, none of his past or history attached to it, nothing mean or malicious. Just pure.

He’d been thinking about what would happen when she was awake, would they yell? Would she run, again? Would nothing be said and nothing evermore? Looking across to her after exhaling a large cloud of smoke, already sounding like he was withdrawing behind his walls. “Are you feeling alright, Ariel?” He was almost afraid of the answer, was she angry at him, disappointed perhaps? Taking a small step away he was no longer leaning on the railing, but rather the wall beside him, now pressed into his back as he watched her for any sign that she might run, or just pass out. His hand bringing his cigarette to his lips once more, the tie wrapped around his hand catching in the faint orange light of the embers, drawing his attention for the moment before looking back to Ariel. Worried that seeing it again would trigger her, but nonetheless, he knew when to be a gentleman. “Thank you.” With a slight shake of his hand, he dropped it back to his side, almost wishing he could hide it and undo the damage that had been done, not to his hand, but to her in seeing the state of his hand. What was he thinking about inviting her here, this was a bad idea.
