Color Sequences An apartment complex in Almere (Netherlands) inspired me to further explore its musical qualities by repetition and seamless integration. I was drawn towards the building especially because of the striking colors of the window screens and the beautiful ceramic tile pattern that covers most of the walls. Therefore what you see is the original finish of the building transformed into an alternate, enlarged reality that heightens its rhythmic playfulness. I mixed up the order of colour sequences which adds some extra musical variation. This image is part of my current exhibition in Almere, The Netherlands, open until 9 April 2023. “Shadowfold: Enveloping Space Through Light and Geometry”

This drawing evokes a delicate interplay between geometry and abstraction, representing the folding of shadows as a dynamic architectural language. The composition captures the ephemeral nature of light and its transformation into precise geometric constructs, creating an architectural “envelope” that transcends its functional purpose.

The dotted and solid lines suggest boundaries, layers, and contours, offering a sense of dimensionality.
