the most important distinction between boba fett and jango fett is that jango fett grew up on a farm and then in a traveling mandalorian merc clan and boba fett grew up in a city sized lab and then juvie and then every gutter in the galaxy from here to nar shaddaa
#and both of them have seen way too much shit they can't unsee#jango fett#boba fett#txt#I feel like people gloss over boba's coming of age era cause it's a content void but I do think it's important to his character#gestures vaguely Something(s) happened there#teenage to early 20s boba is very fun to think about cause he's like the exoskeleton of the adult boba we see#by which I mean he's very troubled kid archetype very antagonistic hasnt really nailed down much about who he is besides the main stuff he's#already known forever#so he's basically being dragged through the alleys of the galaxy learning all these very hard lessons#and at the same time developing all these ideas about what he can be what he's going to be what he wants#there's a lot of kids floating through the gutters and a lot of them dont make it out#and boba has a lot of big advantages but there's also an explosiveness to him that is necessary to power him through all the#Trials and Tribulations and Associated Bullshit to the position that he holds comfortably later#22 year old fuck it we ball ruthless boba is the reason 37 year old still ruthless boba gets to say he's just a simple man making his way#through the galaxy#and likewise while I think most of his idealism burns off early#I think there's a lot more social self-positioning inner turmoil that burns off like a comet tail over the years#my beautiful meta characterization using like 30% of total boba fett media#I need to become a true scholar of boba fett#etc etc

This is something I've posted about before, a long long time ago, and have recently returned to the idea: using a Star Wars roleplaying game (Saga Edition, in this case) and making my own setting for it.
Specifically I'm going to take stuff from the official books and mix and match them into something new. Kinda like taking the Forgotten Realms and Greyhawk and Dragonlance and whatnot and smooshing them together into a single D&D setting.
The thing about Star Wars is that its various "settings" aren't separated by location, they're separated by time. So you could think of the Clone Wars and the Rebellion as different settings. And with that separation of time comes its own challenges. The issues can broadly be split into those of groups and those of people.
Issues of group are those like "how do the Old Republic, the Clone Wars era Grand Army, the Empire, and the Galactic Alliance of the Legacy era coexist?" All of these groups have mechanical distinctions!
My answer? The Grand Army of the Republic is much much older than in Star Wars proper, and is lead by Jedi who have become more of a political power than before, holding territory and office. Kinda like during the New Sith War, actually. Meanwhile the Republic itself is protected by normal soldiers and functions more or less like what you imagine the Republic to be like. The Empire is an off-shoot, more similar to how it is under the Fel dynasty than under Sith rule (the Sith being their own separate political entity), its founding marked by the defection of the 501st clone legion to follow a failed padawan who had a vision of a stronger society and military to fight back against greater threats (the emperor Roan Fel). The Galactic Alliance… no idea what to do with that yet.
And speaking of the clones, what of the Fetts? This is one of the issues of people. Since both Jango and Boba coexist at roughly the same age, surely one is not the unmodified clone of the other, right? And there is also a guy called Cassus Fett who normally would've lived thousands of years prior. How to resolve this? As stated, the clone army is much older, and the original template is probably long dead. So in our case both Boba and Jango are actually unmodified clones of that original, created for whatever reason and adopted as Mandalorians by Cassus.
Some other minor character notes: Luke and Vader are brothers, but Leia is still Vader's daughter. Should make for interesting times at the family reunion.

@theneutralmime
That's incredibly subjective at this point, since we've got at LEAST 3-4 different "canons" depending on how you look at it right now.
The first is Lucas's personal canon, which I imagine is what you're remembering having read somewhere as being just the films and TCW, although this would just be the first SIX films and the first SIX seasons of TCW and nothing else (this includes the sequel trilogy and season 7 of TCW, as well as films like Solo and Rogue One).
Anything beyond those things but that was created prior to the Disney buyout in 2014 is considered "Legends" canon (previously known as the Extended Universe before the buyout). This includes things like the original Thrawn trilogy, the Jedi Apprentice/Quest novels, the 2003 Clone Wars show, etc. Lucas did not consider them part of HIS Star Wars story and had no problem with ignoring anything introduced in Legends material if he didn't like it (nor did he have an issue with USING things he DID like from Legends material, but he often warped it to fit into his own story). Disney doesn't consider any of it as canon, but different creators have been slowly "re-canonizing" some of it in recent media (like Jango/Boba Fett being Mandalorians, or Siri Tachi's existence).
Anything created AFTER the 2014 buyout is considered "Disney canon." Unlike Lucas, Disney doesn't seem to be really separating their films/TV shows from their other content like books/comics/games in terms of continuity, but not everyone is actually consuming everything so sometimes shit doesn't match anyway. Generally the films and Disney+ TV shows (which for this purpose will include things like Rebels even though that show was created prior to Disney+ existing) are probably considered "higher" canon than things like the books, comics, and games, but it isn't as clear cut as it used to be under Lucas. While I think many of the things created under Disney canon, especially the films and Disney+ shows, are TRYING to be considered part of the same continuity as Lucas's canon, they're also definitely still doing their own thing and Lucas himself has no influence on them.
Rebels would be considered DISNEY canon since it was created after the buyout. Same goes for The Bad Batch as well as the Obi-Wan Kenobi show.
Tales of the Jedi is weird because it technically is within Disney canon, but I believe Filoni has claimed that audiences should see it less as actual canon events and more as like... "fables" or something like that. So basically the dude in charge said we can disregard anything in this show as canon if you want to, I guess. That being said, there's nothing in it that completely contradicts the more accepted canon (Lucas's stuff and the Disney films and TV shows), so I think that most people generally consider this show as "canon" no matter what Filoni said.
And of course, there's always your personal canon, which is just whatever you decide to SEE as canon regardless of anything "official." I personally dislike Tales of the Jedi and the Ahsoka show and am fully willing to just... pretend they're not canon. Neither of them has any real bearing on the larger narrative Lucas wrote anyway and you can obviously understand and enjoy the original six films without them.
I mostly use these distinctions when I'm having a discussion with someone about something like, say, the intentions behind the story. Because that can obviously change WILDLY depending on who is writing the story. Lucas and Filoni are not the same person, much as Filoni might like to believe otherwise, and so they have radically different approaches to Star Wars, its messages, and its worldbuilding. Something Filoni writes in a Disney canon show does NOT have any relevance to a discussion about what Lucas was trying to say about the Prequels Jedi, for example. Same goes for anything written in a Legends novel or comic book.
Star Wars is relatively easy to cherry pick from depending on what you enjoy. Especially these days, with how much content is being cycled out all the time. So if you just don't care for Disney canon at all, you can just... ignore it and focus on Lucas's canon and Legends material if you want. If you happen to be one of the people who just doesn't vibe with Lucas's messages, you can focus more on Legends canon and Filoni's more recent work. Or you can exclusively enjoy Lucas's canon and absolutely nothing else. Or you can pick and choose from within each "canon" depending on what vibes with you. The galaxy far far away is your oyster!

Ant or Dec? Cheesecake or Chocolate Cake? Daleks or Weeping Angels? Toy story or Monsters Inc? Boba or Jango Fett? PS2 or PS3? Miette or Korrina's grandad? (Cause I know you don't like either haha)
Ant or Dec?: Hmm I think I like Dec a bit more so far (also for full transparency: i DID have to google which was which 😂 I'm terrible with names lol)
Cheesecake or Chocolate Cake?: Chocolate cake! I don't actually like cheesecake 🙈🤷‍♀️
Daleks or Weeping Angels?: Daleks. I got bored of the weeping angels pretty fast. Which isn't to say I'm not bored of the Daleks too sometimes lol. But idk, I just find them more interesting than Weeping Angels 🤷‍♀️
Toy story or Monsters Inc?: Oooh this is a tough one cuz they're both so good! But Toy Story had a relatively big place in my childhood. I watched it a bunch, I had a Woody doll (& my sister had Buzz), we had a Toy Story video game, a few other Toy Story toys, etc., so for that alone I think I gotta go with Toy Story 😝 (But that said, if I were to pick one to watch right now, I'd probably go with Monsters Inc 🤷‍♀️)
Boba or Jango Fett?: Boba 👍
PS2 or PS3?: PS2. I grew up with PS1 & PS2, but I never had a PS3 (or 4. I do have a PS5 now). The PS2 is probably the console we had and actually used for the longest amount of time tbh
Miette or Korrina's grandad? (Cause I know you don't like either haha): Oh god they're both so awful tho whyyyy. I guess if I have to choose, I'd pick Miette. Cuz yeah she's mean, but 1.) it DOES provide a bit of amourshipping stuff cuz of Serena being jealous, which is cute and 2.) she's a kid. Korrina's grandpa is a full grown adult who is being mean to a kid. That's worse 🤷‍♀️
Thanks Marce :)

Jaster & Tor
For me, one of the most hilarious and no less furious aspects of Jaster Mereel’s treatment in the sources is how he is hailed as the great figure in Mandalorian history that brought back honor between Mandalorian Mercs and all but like, not getting any real development for over two decades. Sure, he got here and there mini encyclopedia entries and some mention in regard to Jango Fett, but never anything truly expanding his characterization beyond the general image of “good” Mandalorian created by tie-in sources - an image I find a pretty bland one compared to retconned “The Last One Standing: The Tale of Boba Fett” (in which Jaster Mereel originated from) and Jango Fett: Open Seasons comics series.
This is hilarious, because Tor Vizsla got a personal entry in Fact Files - an article biased as hell but still acknowledging both him as character and his impact on Jango & Mandalorians - and a whole section of Bounty Hunter Code for himself and Death Watch. And though I will forever stand with Jango that the Manifesto doesn’t sound much like him (but I like the idea the Manifesto is based on Tor’s notes just edited by someone to be more reader-friendly), there is like 30 pages expanding history and his person while Jaster is once again reduced to small mention here and there. And look, it is hilarious to me that Vizsla and Death Watch is the Mandalorians that Lucas wanted to keep for The Clone Wars, throwing out of window the supposedly great Jaster Mereel and True Mandalorians without any second thought but good damn, it is so frustrating we can’t get any solid material on him even though Bounty Hunter Code was the perfect opportunity to bring him back, as it would make a perfect sense for Jango to keep Jaster’s notes if not the whole Codex.
It is also frustrating because Tor and Jaster are like the two Mandalorians officially writting down important stuff and apparently both were versed in Mandalorian history & lore and I for one would love to compare their notes to get the feeling of middle-ground and see their ideas from the proper perspective not from biased sources that clearly favores Jaster - even if in JF:OS, after making research and interrogating Jango’s allies, Dooku’s only conclusion was that for Mereel Mandalorians were “merely highly-paid soldiers”. Which is hardly the same as bringing work ethic to your group (not that it does cross out the possibility of having actual moral standards, but it does not automatically mean the same). It is frustrating, because we don’t get that often Mandalorians with literary tendencies - hell, we didn’t get any other Mandalorian like that for years because almost everything is about the oral culture which makes Tor Vizsla and Jaster Mereel’s existence even more hilarious, as the two literature nerds that at some point sit down and write their own input - Tor about history and political goals for new members of Death Watch, Jaster about work ethics for True Mandalorians. And it is even more hilarious than that, because Jango Fett presumably read both works and HE DOESN’T READ BOOKS BECAUSE HE THINKS THEY ARE WASTE OF TIME:
Boba's father didn't read much. "Books? A waste of time," he said. "Read maps, Boba. Instructions. Warnings. Important stuff." [Boba Fett Book 1: The Fight to Survive by Terry Bisson]

Favourite Star Wars fic?
Oh dear, dear, this is a toughie ;/////////////////;
These are just some and are not in at all order except for the first three because those ones are very close to heart. Give them a read and a follow ♥ You wouldn't be disappointed!
I haven't read many yet since I stopped doing binge reads due to my eyes, but I might get in on that train again soon ♥
Tumblr media
Name and Soul by Decepticonsensual will takes the lead because oh my god did this fuck me up in more ways than one with fluff and angst. It's in complete, but I will die on the hill this fic was written on.
Sheep Song by @syn0vial takes second because I need this in my life, okay? Psych horror between current and young Boba with Jango in the mix full of the unknown? Beautifully written that it takes you to the same journey as Boba's.
White All Over by @padmestrilogy is a fic/blog I came across by accident and nearly paid no mind because there was just one post or like not even a full page at the time. This is by far an in-depth POV fic from Jango's eyes mid-clone creation. All applause for this fic.
The Tiniest Councilor by Quiet_Shadow is one I read almost so many damn times because of how cute and fluffy it is. This is my ultimate comfort fic because Plo plus younglings while in a council meeting is more than enough to give comfort to my constantly bleeding heart.
Finish What You Start by @sinisterexaggerator I don't think I need to explain why I love this so much but Hondo silly dancing before you some really saucy stuff and him being overly all perfect and portrayed with such precision? B L I S S, I tell you.
Sovereign by @tits-fisto fills my stupid PloKitHeart with so much contentment and satisfaction, I have not read anything better in terms of PloKit fics. Sovereign is indeed Sovereign.
You Came, You Called by @toomanybandstocare is a fic very close to heart and is very personal to me. If you need comfort in times of dealing with really heavy shit, read this.
Nightshift by @wolffegirlsunite is the fic that broke me so damn much I literally wept for days to weeks because this is just pure, unadulterated, lost-love angst that has been my death. Still my favorite Fox x Reader fic of all time. All. Time.
The Merc and the Moon by @eyecandyeoz Darth Fett is my hidden ship that I am still so beyond grateful to have been accepted, embraced, and materialized with such glorious, glorious manner of writing and art that I am ready to just die for Candy (author), really.
Boba Has Baby’s First Identity Crisis & Jango Plays Hungry Hungry Hypocrite by @yellowocaballero This is such a fun shit!boy Boba read that if you're ever having a bad day, please. Do yourself a favor and read this because this has me on a wholesome hold ♥
The Hype by @blueink-bluesoul I'm not even gonna say something about this because I delayed this for so long because the sheer amount of FILTH in this fic is gonna make you thirstier than a bitch in a desert <: But I just wanna also say the skill on now making this fic cluttered with so many characters just blows my mind. And the amount of dick pleasure in this fic is enough to serve as balm to a weary soul.
[Ploffe] Plo Koon & Wolffe Friendship Fic by @wild-karrde is another comfort fic of mine that is s wholesome and such a warm read every time I go through my bookmarks of 'in case to read for duchii depresso' ♥

I haven't asked you some Jango stuff yet and idk why. But I know you can do him so good because of the many plots/thots/thoughts we've talked about everywhere, so if you can...
Say Jango and Bane got into a real nasty argument which included guns be pointed at each other but ended up walking away to cool off. Who makes the first move? And how will it pan out?
Warning: NSFW. Smut talk.
Oh, good question. This requires me explaining their dynamic a bit as far as ideas for my fic.
Tumblr media
Jango would be Bane’s mentor as was canon. Nothing else is known about them working together or even associating with each other except at some point Bane says “he owed Jango a few favors” regarding Boba, and Hondo mentions in “Secrets of the Bounty Hunters” that he had many adventures with Jango Fett and Cad Bane, among others.
Thinking about their place on the GFFA timeline, they most likely interacted BEFORE Jango created his clone army, and even sometime afterward before the Clone Wars as it was mentioned Boba KNEW who Cad Bane was and desired to work with him on a job in the comics.
To that end, both were near the same age, though if my calculations are correct, Jango is older. Considering how hotheaded Cad Bane is, I assume that in his youth he was even worse.
I see Bane picking fights after one too many drinks, letting the insults fly, and drawing his weapon for no reason other than to intimidate someone. I see others coaxing him to stand down, either verbally or by force, or perhaps Jango has a secret weapon or two up his sleeve that is noted to work nearly every time.
I imagine Bane to be a bit of a brat in this era. Hard to train, hard to control, but also capable of holding his own. Jango saw potential. It may have been he took him under his wing once they worked together, or perhaps they were in direct competition with one another and Fett decided that instead of being enemies, he wanted a partner, or an equal, as what he saw in Bane was the equivalent of the “mentee” being able to one day surpass the “master.”
At this point, Jango didn’t have a son. We know he has that gene, the one that desperately needs and wants to be a father, apparently. He may have used this drive to mentor Cad, but of course there are definitely times they do not get along.
For one thing, I don’t see it working out in the end between them, one of the MANY REASONS BEING THEY ARE TOO MUCH ALIKE.
Both are sort of stoic by nature, have a hot temper, will do anything the job takes, and have few scruples when it comes to what they will or will not do for credits. We might say Jango is more driven by his hatred for the Jedi, but as a Jedi hunter, Bane has inherited some of this disdain.
Anyway, I digress. The point is they are both stubborn. They both rarely talk about their feelings. They both march to the beat of their own drum, and they both are excellent at what they do.
My interpretation of their relationship would dictate Jango being the one to make the first move after having a terrible argument. Maybe Bane wasn’t sure Jango wouldn’t shoot him, and that made him feel things. I’m writing him as being a bit sensitive overall, but also so obstinate he would sulk and keep his head down after being scolded well enough that he decides to mope off by his lonesome. Of course, this is outwardly expressed as anger though deep down he is hurt.
His person yelled at him. Not only that, Jango at this point in time, is a better bounty hunter than Bane, although one day he may surpass him as I mentioned, and technically he does as he goes up against many Jedi and doesn’t get his head cut off. ;D But, in this instance, he may very well be cautious of him. I wouldn’t say afraid, though there are times he feels fear in the moment, but he also holds a kind of love in his heart for the “old man” though it may never be expressed verbally and instead shown through actions.
I imagine Jango would sit alone, contemplate, and sigh. After some time has passed and he’s cooled off, he would go to Bane knowing the boy rather die than come crawling back. Bane would make it a point to avoid him or stay out of his way until he made it clear he wanted to speak to him again, or make up. In the end, Bane didn’t want to fight him. He wanted them to reconcile as much as Jango did.
I see Jango taking the lead, maybe stroking the side of his face with the back of his hand. Maybe he tips his hat up by the edge to better see his eyes. Bane would stay solemn and wait.
“Cad. Look at me.”
And he would. When in the mood, Bane would do anything that Jango asked of him. This is after he’s attached and before their falling out ( >D ).
Maybe Bane nuzzles his cheek into the man’s hand, or shows some other sort of affection once Jango shows him it's all right, either by a look, or by lifting his chin up or some other small gesture. I assume his eyes are full of apprehension and he remains on guard just in case.
Jango says a few words about how he was wrong, or that he’s sorry he got carried away. Bane believes him, though this may have happened many, many times. He’s receptive to whatever Jango offers him – a kiss, a stroke to his wrist, a pat on the belly, or sharing a drink. In the end they probably fuck nasty to make up, and Bane’s the catcher while biting into the pillow at Fett’s mercy. That, or he rides him while Jango watches the way his fangs gnaw into his lip, or the way he stares ruthlessly into his eyes without once breaking eye contact.
“That’s a good boy, you do know how to listen. If only you were always so well behaved.”
Bane definitely bites back what he wants to say as he’s too busy trying not to cum, drunk off Jango’s dick as he drives it home doggy style nice and slow, let's say.
If he did manage a word or two it’s probably: “Fuck off, Fett.”
Most likely Jango just smiles, not bothering to address him any further. He's content to watch, or to run his hand down the length of Bane's back and the curve of his waist as he brings him to a peak.

i've started a little series of weekly posts documenting every MoC i made (digitally) over the last few years:
Week 6: the first half of 2020 (and a bonus)
some Cyberpunk-y stuff, more youtubers, revisiting that robot dog, a really cool movie, some contest and some of my first digital MoCs rendered
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i made these hover-vehicles IRL building with my little Sister and her LEGO. I don't like LEGO friends because i hate how minidolls look like polly pockets, but i think the more patel colours of those sets are really pleasant
Tumblr media
"der Weltall. UnENTliche weiten..."
there's a german Youtuber called "Coldmirror". she was one of the first youtubers in germany and she made some pretty funny animations, including StarStarSpace, a kind of parody of Star Trek, Star Wars and some other sci-fi stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adam Savage made a Rickshaw to be pulled by boston dynamics' Spot. I saw that build, remembered the minifigure scale Spot i built in the year before and added his rickshaw. i made two versions. the simpler one i made after seeing the teaser on twitter and the more complex one i made after watching the build-video.
i posted the simpler version on reddit, which got the attention of Adam savage's team and later of adam savage. they contacted me and i mailed them the instructions of the simpler version, felt bad for the inaccuracies of the build, built the more complex version and also mailed them its instructions.
Adam later build the simpler version on a stream that i sadly missed, but i was really happy that a maker i admire liked my MoC.
Tumblr media
Fanart for TomSka and Friends' CONTENT table. i still kinda like it, even though i thought it would be hilarious to make their legs skin-coloured.
this was actually featured in the "trial by trolley" video they made in feburary 2020.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Newelementary did a contest featuring the then new Green Lantern Part from the first series the DC collectible minifigures.
i built these two ships with the part as engine details, the W45-P Stinger and the 0G-L13 Leapfrog. i submitted them both and for some reason the people from Newelementary switched up the names of the works.
anyway, i did not win.
Tumblr media
just a digital version of the Old Factory i posted back in week 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i tried imitating some more logo-like stuff.
i don't think arstotzkan Flag turned out really good, but i really like the way the Blood Machines Title looks.
Tumblr media
speaking of Blood Machines, i had recently watched this really cool movie and had to make some sort of MoC inspired by the really cool ship designs found in that movie. i first tried to make something more Minifigure scale, got overwhelmed, and just made the mIcro scale
Tumblr media
the Star Wars Helmet series also started that year. i rebuild the Boba Fett helemt and modified it it to represent Jango Fett and the Mandalorians found in the Mandalorian battle pack that also came out that year.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i don't really remember why, but i tried remaking set 7310 Mono-jet from Life on Mars as a more modern set. i made a colour-accurate version and a version that actually can be built IRL.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i had the fun idea to remake some Lego city-style Vehicles as cyberpunk-y hovercars. i tried making some different styles of 0-G-generators/repulsor lifts to make the vehicles feel like they've been built by different manufacturers.
also, Stud.io had a weird bug/feature where you had a coloured gradiend as a background if you put a part on the ground that is out of frame and have the rest of the build "hover" over the ground.
Tumblr media
another Contest, this time for Lego Ideas. they had a Star Wars x Christmas thing, so i had the (kind of uncreative) idea to make a gingerbread TIE fighter, based off the Imperial TIE fighter set from 2018 and the little polybag from the same year.
this also did not win.
Bonus: some of my first digital MoCs i made.
i found them again.
Tumblr media
the Dalek Emperor from NewWho. this was basically the first MoC i ever made on a PC, back when LDD still worked on my laptop.
i had to tweak the colours a lot when i rendered this one, because the way they were represented in LDD was very different to the way they look in stud.io or even real life.
Tumblr media
i struggled quite a bit with redoing this one in stud.io because it handles flexible a lot different than LDD. that is also one of the reasons why i never finished this MoC.
i think i'll have to split this year again, but hopefully only in two parts. i dislike that 30 image limit for tumblr Posts.
first week last week next week

Stuff! So I was just complaining that I haven't found Transformers in phoenixland thrift stores lately, and apparently I just needed to check Flagstaff because I had to leave a lot behind actually. I also found other stuff, obviously, so here's what I got.
Tumblr media
The last time we were in Flag, I got a Dengar doll, and this time I got a pair of Fetts and some cannon fodder. They're missing a couple pieces, but I didn't actually have a Barbie-scale Boba or Jango, so I'm okay with that.
Tumblr media
I got two basically mystery bags, and this was the first. Mostly I wanted the Cyberman, but I was intrigued by the little diorama pieces. From googling, I think they're from Charmed dolls, but I'll use them for something.
Tumblr media
This was the TF bag I got, and unfortunately I didn't see that everybody was broken or missing pieces lmao. I just saw Skywarp and pounced. But the Optimus is missing part of his chest, Cheetor doesn't have his tail or one hand, and Warp is missing his wings and hands (at least).
Tumblr media
One of my favorite toys is a TC missing some pieces I got from goodwill in college, so when I saw Warp, even though I could tell he wasn't complete, I wanted him. I dunno if I would have gotten him if I knew how much he was missing, but maybe I can replicate his pieces somehow?
Idk, this trip was just kind of a bummer and I tend to participate in retail therapy more than I should idk.
Anyway, I also got books.
Tumblr media
I didn't find any books I set out looking for, but I did find a bunch that were worth picking up anyway.
Also, uh, fun fact for you, if you're also as ignorant as I was, apparently elevation changes, such as going from 1000ft above sea level to 7000ft, can affect your period. Like, badly. So I was convalescing for a lot of the very-short trip with bad cramps and a lot of bleeding. It was pretty shitty, not helped by an already-not-great mood on account of a not-great xmas and having to put stuff back at the thrift store (so much I want, so little money, so little time to go back and see if Skywarp's wings were in another bag...). I don't really feel like complaining too much or anything, but... I did kinda want more from this trip... I'm just pretty sick of living in the desert in the suburbs with my family and I've been bleeding almost two weeks now and am grumpy.
Also I watched one episode of Transformers Victory because I wanted to see if I could get better pictures of Black Shadow and that theme song has been stuck in my head ever since. It's a fucking bop.

The Book of Boba Fett - Episode 2 thoughts
back at it with tbobf ramblings, y'all know the drill! hope you enjoy my thoughts and analysis of this episode. doing this for fun and because i can <3 no arguments, spoilers below the cut
i love how fennec despises the order of the night wind that dude is a part of and i also love how they use the concept of fear to get what they want, even though there's no real threat
"well i don't see your name in the schedule, so you'll have to- oh." this dude is so fucking funny 10/10
if there's one thing star wars does well, it's alien species, i love the variety and how any species can be and do pretty much anything
why the hell did the music and everything stop inside the sanctuary when the twins haven't even gotten around the corner outside yet lmaoo, also, madam garsa is fucking beautiful i love how they did her clothes and makeup
dude the hutts are so gross i love how detailed they look with modern capabilities - but simultaneously they do look less real? can't decide whether i prefer the og puppet style or cgi
those poor litter carriers
bacta is so interesting, like, it seems to be the all-purpose medical wonder of the galaxy. head injury? spray some bacta on it. cut your finger whilst cooking? bacta will help. your whole body is covered in scarring? immerse yourself in bacta. what the fuck is this stuff and where can i get some
i'm so fascinated by the tusken gaderffii stick, i love it as a weapon and the forms are so cool to watch
tatooine lore is so fucking cool man what the hell no wonder we spend so much time on this fucking sandpit - adding onto this, i like that we get to spend so much time with the tuskens and learn to sympathise with them the same time as boba does. like, in pretty much all star wars media i've seen so far (apart from the mandalorian) tuskens are demonised and everyone hates them and they cause nothing but trouble. hell, anakin kills a camp of them (the women and the children too! sorry couldn't help myself) and really you don't feel an awful lot for them since we haven't been given any time with them before. but now we're seeing them as a community, we see them caring for their injured and mourning their deceased and it slowly makes you feel so much more care towards them, same thing boba is experiencing really
tusken sign language is another interesting thing i'm glad they've expanded on because i became interested when din spoke with them and now we get to see so much more of it and it's just so fucking cool man!
i also think it's funny how they'll let boba go with a rifle and a gaffi stick but he's still wearing his shitty raggedy flight suit 💀 give this man some robes asap!
love how boba has a fucking gaffi stick but still uses (and breaks) the rifle as a melee weapon. dummy lmao
THE BARTENDERS LITTLE NOD WHEN BOBA LEAVES, LIKE "mm yeah fair enough"
boba teaching the tuskens to ride speeders is not something i knew i needed, but i am glad to see it because the "like a bantha" line is pure comedy
the kid becoming a friend is beautiful
the entire train sequence 🙌🙌
boba is so fucking funny thank you temuera, "a lizard? ...thank you." should not have me cackling but his delivery is astounding
EUGH I FORGOT THE LIZARD DID THAT
wait so did they just drug him and plant a lizard in his brain???? dude wtf 😭
what is it with the tree in the desert symbolism cause i'm getting witcher season 3 flashbacks watching this scene
he earned his robes :')
this kid is so cute bless
i love the implication that each warrior earns and makes their own gaffi stick based on what they retrieve from their drug induced fever dream walk
this being reminiscent of haka does not escape me, and tbh, in my eyes mandalorians and their culture stemmed from temuera's portrayal of jango so in my mind mandalorians are heavily maori inspired, so this doesn't surprise me - why not allow the tuskens to be inspired by multiple groups including maori - a beautiful and powerful end scene imo
thanks for reading y'all hope you enjoyed :) discussions always welcome, i love to chat about these things. no fighting though pls i'm just a gorl enjoying some media 🙏

So, my understanding is that there’s significantly more Boba stuff than Jango (which makes sense, the character itself has existed longer). This correct?
I’ll definitely have to look up that game - I don’t have gaming systems or a gaming computer (which ever is needed), haven’t played anything since the early oughts and the first Kingdom Hearts game, lol. I wonder if someone has posted their play-through on YouTube? I’d love to gather the extra bits of lore that are always sprinkled throughout games that can be experienced rather than read.
It says the comics can be found online. Free online? There’s a reason I mentioned the library. I’m completely broke :/
I’m adding these to my list ether way; even if it’s just for a someday in the future.
Also? I read a whole essay on here about the Catholic thing. The fact that a writer created the set up and suspense for Leia to be sexually assaulted during her time in captivity then completely turned it on its head by creating a cultural reason that ain’t happening here is wild but also brilliant.
Like, I get the intent - show Jabba in the worst light, create suspense, imply what happens to the other dancing girls without details, etc. - by then give the act to a tertiary bad guy you don’t want to be that kind of bad and also you don’t want Leia to actually go through that. So you need a reason for macho-masculine baddy Boba Fett to not. And I think the cultural reasoning is a really interesting way to go about it! Really sets up the mandos are all culturally insane about kids dynamic years before it got so entrenched in the SW-Mando zeitgeist. It brings really interesting implications about his culture to the fore.
Someone responded to that essay that Boba could be read as demisexual and adheres to that cultural line more than others because he never seems interested in anyone outside his ex-wife even years after they separated (I hasn’t even known he was married?). Which is a really interesting take as well. Like, “being Catholic” hasn’t stopped every instance of adulatory or sex outside marriage in the real world, so the cultural aspect in Mandalor could very well exist yet not be as strictly followed by everyone.
I dunno where I’m going with this. I just think it’s neat. I really need to read the source material.
Boba Fett!
Now that I’ve gotten your attention, does anyone have a good Legends reading list for learning about his character and his journey?
I’ve read several people here pissed about how Disney has done him dirty in the BoBF show. Boba was never a character I was interested in back in the 90s/early oughts when I was reading legends books so I never really encountered him. That interest is changing, now, with my growing love for Mandalorians and the build up of their culture. I want to learn more about the first trilogy’s OG bounty hunter.
Wouldn’t mind learning more about Jango as well. So recommendations there are welcome as well.
Just going by the movies, Jango comes off as a total dumbass so I was never interested. Similar to why I never got interested in Boba. However, I’m told that there’s more going on with them that wasn’t explained in the movies (Which, fair. They were tertiary characters at best).
I’m enjoying the hell out of what I’m encountering in fanfic but the characterization is all over the place so I don’t actually know what they were like in the official books. Something about Boba being Catholic?
I’m hoping to be able to find/order older Star Wars books from my library so I don’t have to shell out for coveted copies that are no longer being produced. Any recommendations, reading lists, and the order you recommend would be much appreciated.

You know, I think what makes me like and hate Hondo Ohnaka so much as a character is the fact he's undoubtedly clever.
He's this flashy high-spirited pirate that does whatever he pleases whenever he pleases, consequences be damned, and who's clearly on top of every situation he comes across. Even the ones where the odds are heavily stacked against him.
His personality, over the top friendliness, and happy-go-lucky "nothing bothers me" attitude also makes it easy to underestimate him. You look at him and don't feel overly threatened.
But then he does stuff like successfully capture Anakin, Obi-wan and Dooku in one sitting; forces Ahsoka into a position where she has to surrender herself willingly; has had a relationship with the ruthless and absolutely cutthroat Aurra Sing (heavily implied to have been both physical and emotional because she trusts him); had some kind of friendship with Jango Fett to the point he knows the best option for Boba is to stop fighting and let the Jedi take him (even if it is to throw him in jail, but even then he had Bossk with him to at least guide him through his pre-teens and so on) because this was never a fight a child could win; and outlived so many strong-willed people who had their lives torn apart by both the separatist wars and imperial era, thriving all the way through hardship after hardship.
Hondo Ohnaka is an anomaly that will always infuriate and leave me smiling. And more people should definitely give him more love.

Currently thinking about the idea of Cal and Boba somehow meeting while Cal was on Bracca
Maybe Boba was hunting down a target on Bracca or something and he ended up meeting Cal in a cantina or something while trying to get information. At first he thinks Cal is a little annoying then they talk a bit more and he gets completely distracted from his mission because he realizes he really likes talking to Cal. When he remembers he asks Cal and it turns out he has the information he needed. Boba eventually heads off to catch the target and thinks he'll never see Cal again.
Then he gets another job on Bracca and he find himself keeping an eye out for the red head boy he saw last time. He goes to the same place he went last time secretly hoping to find Cal and by some coincidence he's there. They talk again, and hang out for a while. This target end up being much harder to track then the last so he's there for a while and they run into each other a couple more times, one of them right by Cal's place because Boba was following up a lead on where the guy might live which ended up being a dead end.
The next time he ends up on Bracca he takes a job he knows will take him to Bracca, but doesn't want to admit to himself it's because he wants to see Cal again. He doesn't see him at all while he's searching for the bounty. Then he finds the target, things go wrong, and he ends up injured. His ship is really far away but Cal's apartment is right near there. He manages to make it there and when Cal comes to the door Boba tells him he had no where else to go and then passes out. Cal takes him inside and helps deal with his wounds. It's also when Cal finally sees him without his helmet and he gets worried because what if Boba tries to kill him. When Boba wakes up Cal asks him to explain what happened and finds out Boba is bounty hunter. When he brings up the clone thing he gets super defensive about not being a clone and says he's Jango Fetts son (he tells Cal the truth on the stuff because he sees no reason to lie especially since Cal just helped him).
After this interaction Boba keeps finding more reasons to go see Cal on Bracca sometimes even when it's not a job and he says he was 'just in the area and decided to stop by'. While on Bracca one time a group of people attack him (because as we have seen in the Mandalorian people really like to fight Mandalorians and try to take their armor). He's having a trouble fighting them all off then suddenly one of them gets shot by someone else and he turns and sees Cal. He helps Boba fight them off. Seeing Cal fighting off the attackers with a blaster and also some hand to hand combat is when he finally realizes he's fallen for him. He wants to keep spending time with Cal. He wants to fight by his side again.
Later when they are back at Cal's place he ask Cal to come with him, but Cal says no because he's still worried about staying hidden. When Boba asks him why he wants to stay on Bracca Cal tells him the truth. Then he panics because he just told a bounty Hunter that he's a jedi. What the fuck was he thinking? Boba is surprised by himself when his first thought isn't about the bounty for jedi it's that he definitely won't let Cal get captured. He tells him that and eventually Cal decides he to go with him.
And here's where we come to my second idea: Cal and Boba being bounty hunters together
Edit: I started writing it here

Today is the 1st day of prideeeeee!! So we're gonna talk about sexualities/relationships to expect and stuff for the Not The Tea Au!
Let's start with Boba! (My baby) Boba is aroace! When Boba first came to terms with that he freaked out, a tad terrified before Rex just gave him a look and bluntly informed him that he had to have gotten it from somewhere. After that, Boba confided in his father to which Jango told him that he didnt care, and all that he wanted was his baby loved. Hower he got that love didn’t matter. That being said, Boba has no romantic love interest. (Obvi) He does indeed have a platonic soulmate though! (a few tbh) Who? None other than his number 1 fan, ride or die, best friend Fennec, of course! He and Fennec are very close, and have see each other through thick and thin. If something were wrong? These two have each other on speed dial. (She teases him about the brief time he dated Han and asks him if that turned him aro. She knows that's not how that works, but it's still funny.)
The asexual train leads us tooo- Jango Fett! (the love of my life) While Jango is not aromatic, his view on love has always been
"If it happens its happens, if it doesn't that's fine."
He was raised by a single father, and doesn't remember all that much about his biological parents or their relationship. (They were great loving parents, just fyi! Arla talks about them and tells him stories) So he's never been the most concerned with finding his forever person. (Romantically he's interested in just about anyone gender wise) That in mind, he's always wanted kids. (Mando genes) But, relationships are tricky things, and finding a partner to settle down with was iffy sooo....He took matters into his own hands. (Jaster STILL isn't quite sure where Cody, Rex and Boba came from. And at this point, he's too afraid to ask) When Jango meets Obi-Wan for the first time...its not exactly love at first sight but he definitely found the man intriguing. It was never more than a crush, though. And then, about a year later, life hit the Fett household like a train and well...romancing Cody's teacher was the LEAST of Jango's worries. Once everything settled down though, and realizing just how much of a help during this time Obi was, and how amazing and loving he was with the kids well, let's just say that crush was a tad more than a crush.
Tgats our segway into Obi, our Bisexual king. Similar to Jango, Obi developed the slightest crush on the man upon meeting him. All in all though, his focus was on his students and getting to know them! He already knew a little about Cody simply because Ahsoka and Rex are best friends, but getting to know the family on a more personal level was nice. When tragedy struck, Obi-Wan offered a his help in anyway he could, trying his hardest to try to make sure Cody wasn't overworked with school. After all of it died down, Obi-Wan found himself getting to know this family more and more and it's safe to assume that it developed into more than a crush.
Padme, Anakin, and Rex are all also bisexual.
Han identifies as unlabled. He likes who he likes.
Din is Demisexual. (He and Cobb do eventually end up together raising Grogu)
Fennec is bi with a heavy female lean.
Cody Echo, and Cobb are all gay.
Fives, and Ahsoka are pansexual. (And Lando but he doesn't have a bit role in the story)
Fox's sexuality is 'sleep & coffee' (he doesn't label himself and he's not exactly looking for a relationship but he's into both men and woman)
Alpha-17 is AroAce just like Boba.
I've been drawing more of this au (hopefully I'll post some soon!) and I have some scenes written/plenty of scene ideas it's just a matter of putting pen to paper. (Or fingers to keyboard in this case) Hopefully I'll post again soon, and I'm glad to see people enjoy this au as much as I do^^

Yeah, I am really curious and also terrified of what we're gonna get in the new comic series. Like, I really hope they'll stick more to his Legends storyline and characterization than the movie stuff.
I've recently gotten into the Jango Fett comics at least, and man, my heart just breaks with every panel we get of him and Boba.
