Hi, this is the girl who asked about giving you ideas, to say there are many sung jinwoo x readers that have a happy ending or angst for the reader, why are we hurting to us readers? i see a specific post where jinwoo is traumatized angst, so why make him feel our pain with bittersweet ending? i don't hate him it's just that there are many posts that don't give up the vibe and slowly start to be tedious when all readers are in pain except for him.

(it may be ooc and a bit oc because I've seen readers impersonating another character like this that should be the reader, not some insert character. not to mention when having the same power, skill and strength like the character that already exists? might as well put oc!reader or out to stereotype yn/reader/name but i would want to have a reader as their own perspective due to the fact people wanted attention to tagged, i understand the popularity but please to all readers reading this, understand to the perspective point of view that we should put oc! reader instead of 'x reader' if they're having features of the characters you want to impersonate, to copy skills and other ability and powers, ok i ramble too much so I'll stop)

how about this: either you make the longest one shot or make a cliffhanger draft, series and a few chapters. take your time to think us readers are not rushed and i would gladly help you as the requester for specific details and ideas to add to your writing as an author, i have a few more ideas if you write this to continue.

a Isekai reader, similar to your previous post yet let's make a different path? the reader Isekai to solo leveling, let's make it female reader/f(y/n), (sorry to gn or male because I don't understand genders perspective but i want everyone to be fair, it's just that I'm more comfortable with female perspective). ok so back with the topic.. the reader, let's say sure we love the protagonist mc sung jinwoo but we only see him as an inspiration and to admire from afar, when the reader Isekai to jinwoo's world, the reader would remain friends and partners, nothing more and would never reciprocate jinwoo's feelings, the reader would turn a blind eye and 'oblivious' of his feelings, let's say we did help him to the minimum but reader has a limit because of the system.

the system would give powers but there are consequences like jinwoo(when he grew stronger, he would slowly lose his emotions) so i suggest that when the reader looks at the consequences once they grow stronger, she holds a book that contains a lot of information spoilers because the consequences are their memory(only to solo leveling) so to a reminder on what their purpose and plans along with reasons. the reader would continue the Life of helping jinwoo like a devoted follower.

once he slowly forgets and doesn't need the reader due to the FL aka cha hae-in, the reader would step back calmly and walk away. in the background reason.. the reader would help jinwoo big time like they would be anomaly without him realizing about it until it's too late when the reader put the system to forget everyone's memories except for him.

with the reader getting stronger, they'll have to cover their tracks so nobody would find the F!reader. maybe in another country— oh wait he would have a million shadows to search for her.. maybe to another planet like the moon? once she left without saying goodbye or where they go when antares battle ends, the reader would say a few words without him knowing that jinwoo would not see the reader again once he used the reincarnation cup.

Your idea is really interesting, and it would be great if it were written as a complete story

But maybe with your idea, it would become a new story and it would probably repeat Farewell which I don't want to do a similar story because I know I would just write it quite similar to Farewell (〒▽〒)

So if possible, I would just write part 2 of Farewell, continuing the story, when the MC (reader) decides to leave, erase everyone's memories of them and erase their memories of everyone. The MC in the story has decided to let go and live for themselves, meaning they will not pay attention to Jinwoo anymore and start a new life.

The old book still lay in the pocket of the cloak - the soft leather worn, the edges curled as if it had been through many storms. No matter how many battles, how many times you almost lost yourself, the one thing you never let go of was this notebook.

It had no power. It did not open a portal, it did not activate a hidden skill. It was just a normal notebook, but it was the only place where you dared to be honest.

Each thin page, recorded fragments of memory - sometimes hastily scribbled in smudged ink, sometimes neatly written as if in a false peace. Each word written was a reminder, an anchor to keep you from being swept away by the growing wave of power.

The first page, written in shaky handwriting. "Don't love him. Don't stay because of him."

You remember writing that sentence, your hands were so cold that you could barely hold the pen. You cried, you laughed, you whispered 'stupid' to yourself. But you wrote anyway, because you knew that if you didn't write it down, you would forget why you kept your distance.

Turn to the second page.

"He doesn't belong to you. And you don't belong to this world."

Not belong, that sentence became a mantra. You repeated it every night, every time his eyes accidentally passed you, every time you heard his name from someone else like a legend, like a god, like something forever out of reach.

And you knew, even though your heart was slightly moved, you couldn't get any closer.

The next page, the writing was sharper, as if written when you had better controlled your emotions, when you had learned to accept. "Just a partner. Just a companion."

Not a lover. Not a chosen one. Not a kept one.

You were with him out of obligation. Because you can help him. Because you want this world to have a chance to survive. And because, in some corner of your heart, you can't turn your back on him - even if it means pushing yourself into loneliness.

As your strength increases, each piece of memory fades, you forget the face of the mother you once loved, forget your favorite food, forget the reason you were afraid of the dark. But every time you read these lines again, you remember a little, not in images or memories, but in feelings. A silent but passionate feeling.

You take a deep breath, as if to stuff all the emotions into your chest, then speak - each word is soft, but falls like a cut.

The cup glowed. The light of rebirth, of a chance to start over, swept through the world like waves. Everything was swept away by it, war, pain, loss, and you.

saw a post tht said anthy's cowardice makes her complicit in her abuse & i was speechless for a bit... & how abusive systems are held not only by abusers but also by ppl who are hurt by it who refuse to try... i'm living in abusive environment myself so this ticked me off lol. i mean... abuse and grooming will condition the victim to accept the suffering theyre subject to than taking a chance at an escape. abuse and grooming make a victim a coward. to say anthy's cowardice makes her complicit in her hurt is victim blaming. many ppl don't know how deep the psychological impacts of abuse are... i'm not infantilizing. these are facts. we victims may die trying to even have hope... we need some help too. we can't do it on our own. we know there are better things than abuse but the mere uncertainty is enough to scare us off. we cling to familiarity. self sabotage. sorry for the rant this is just something so personal to me

it is a deeply annoying post (as are all the others from that person) because they're acting like they're analyzing depth to anthy's character that nobody else ever talks about (untrue) but they just. aren't. like even if it is technically true that anthy is a coward who is complicit in perpetuating this cycle of abuse, you can't just end the conversation there. you gotta ask why this is. why is she so afraid of change? why is it so impossible for her to see an alternative to the way things are? you gotta look at the context of it all. the fact that she is a child, and that you can't hold her to the expectation of breaking this entire system by herself (even though, in a way, she does). and perhaps most importantly, that the main person anthy is hurting with her complicity is... herself. it is deeply unserious to say that anthy "faces no consequences" for her actions when consequences are all she ever gets. like what else do you want to happen to her?? why do you feel like she deserves to suffer, and how would it help anyone? anthy's suffering is precisely what keeps her complicit in the first place, and literally what the entire system is built on. you can't be like "wow she did all that and she just gets to walk away at the end??" when her leaving is the biggest step to making things right both for herself and for the people she hurt/helped akio hurt. do you really think the point should have been that she needs to stay in her coffin forever and, what, repent for her sins?? and just the idea that a narrative needs to punish every single action someone makes accordingly (what does that even mean) is very silly. that is not how the world works. people don't always get what they "deserve" and what they deserve is, clearly, very subjective anyway. whatever, i'm just rambling too now.

And I still dont have the energy to thoroughly explain myself! So the following may come off as nonsensical ramblings due to this

This would be about the extended set of Ford and Mabel journal pages from the ARG website. I know a lot of people really liked those pages. Sorry to take aim at them.

This is a reply I typed up to someone who asked me about them (like, two seconds ago)

Again, I wish I had sort of the wherewithal to go into depth on what I mean. The "Dear Reader" bit is really what gets me the most. That is originally used in the very last page of J3. These new pages having it in general and having it be accompanied by Ford's and Mabel's sign off is also strange. Where do these pages fit? Reading through J3 again, they don't fit anywhere, even based on the idea that they were torn out.

"Why would these pages have gotten burned?" is important too. Especially in conjunction with the idea above. They're addressed to a reader, but never delivered. At least, not by Ford anyway. That's pretty wildly suspicious to me. (Also, if I was Mabel, I'd be a lil sad Ford set my drawings on fire!)

The bill cipher statue I haven't really explained well up there. It's just sort of like, the way it's talked about in those pages is really strange. The foreboding nature of it all, the questioning the reader's opinion on whether he's gone for good or if he'll be back. The very last message from "Ford" supposedly centering on this statue, when it's the last thing Bill centered on too, and wanted YOU to focus on. They're both trying to connect you to it. For Bill it makes sense, but why should Ford? I'm probably still not explaining it good, but it's mighty suspicious to me.

y/n l/n. alias? cheshire spider. from earth-444, also known as 'wonderland'. you were a skilled spider, but very irritating to miguel. he had allowed you into spider society purely for your good agility and strength. agility of a cat, powers of a spider. and the fact that you could disappear and reappear whenever you please was useful too.

on a day you wanted to bug and annoy miguel, you walked in at a bad time. he was looking through past images and videos of his daughter.

'..who's that?' you asked, as miguel's eyes widened in shock and anger. 'get out.' he said bluntly. 'no. who is that?' you asked. 'get out cheshire!' miguel snapped. 'what, you think none of us cared when alice left us?' you said, raising an eyebrow. '..that's nothing compared to my pain.' miguel spat coldly. 'senseless, heartless. you won't ever give this girl's soul up?' you asked, tilting your head, miguel gave up arguing. he sighed, frustrated. '..my daughter. gabriella. i..i killed her.' miguel said quietly.

you looked down, nodding as you listened. '..was it a multiversal collapse?' you asked, as miguel nodded, looking down. '..some things fall away. you just have to accept them.' you said. 'how am i supposed so accept something so devastating?' miguel asked, sounding offended. '..just cry and it's a crisis. if you let your grief sink in, you'll be able to move forward. losing a loved one is incredibly hard, the mock turtles told me all about that, but you're living in shock here. your heart is cold. how can you protect the multiverse if you're so cold and distant on yourself, let alone your team-mates?' you said, raising an eyebrow.

miguel was shocked. for once, what you said made, some sort of sense. no mockery, no jokes, no riddle. did you genuinely want to help him..?

'i may not know how you feel,, but i'm sure that i can try to help you out of this rut.' you smiled softly. '..why are you so.. different?' miguel asked wearily. 'you're so mischievous, so snarky and sneaky, why?' miguel asked. 'hm.. i suppose that's how i was raised. wonderland is very different to nueva york.' you stated, sitting on his desk table.

'you mustn't grow up, you mustn't disobey the queen, you mustn't be late for tea..' you rambled, before smiling again. 'you mustn't hide within your shell of grief.' that caught miguel off guard. he let out a small chuckle.

'you're right, wonderland is very different to nueva york.' he said, looking down. you two sat in silence for a few moments, but it was.. comforting. the silence spoke thousands of words. it was a.. good silence. miguel hadn't heard of a 'good silence' in a while.

'..maybe you could come visit wonderland?' you offered, smirking. 'no way, cheshire.' miguel replied, breaking a small smile.

Okay, one more question about processes because I'm always curious about other writers, but what happened with Nille? I'm curious where the problems were because I think you did really well with her from what I've gotten to read. Might be interesting to see the issues vs the final result!

this ALSO got long so nille-flavored rambles under the cut

sea glass was kind of a nightmare to write in general honestly. i went through 2 different iterations before settling on what got actually posted, along with making a Later nille convo in advance to nail down her character a bit better

part of the problem with sg was that the initial confrontation with nille and loop was... a bit rough to get right. at first i tried to have her confront them along with the rest of the party which was Not Good. having like 7 characters in one interaction just was not working out whatsoever. it also made her beef a lot more immediately apparent to everyone and was defused by the Ghost Of Bambouche thing and it just was not good. it ALSO had nille arguing in front of bonnie which she does her best not to do ever.

second try also had the full group which was bad for the same reasons. it ended up mostly being loop and nille firing back and forth anyway, which left everyone else a bit listless. it was a lot better once i cut the cast for the scene like clean in half LOL....

there's also just that nille's character is very combative especially and specifically towards the pov character which is a bit Rough. i struggled to nail her down (still do a bit) and i often have worries about how she'll be received, but everyone's been very understanding of her and her various issues, which is appreciated!

her swift turnaround is also a bit of a worry for me, because I know why she's more normal now but the audience can only speculate for a while. lucky for me no one has seen it as a copout or anything which was my main concern with snowflake

in general it's just hard to portray someone who is extremely antagonistic to the pov character but who is also like. not a bad person. most of that is because i worry about reception but honestly you have to beat that part of you down or you'll never get anything done

the Last problem is making nille and loop similar enough to be clockable but still distinct in their issues which honestly i think i've done a decently good job at. they can both be really vindictive little shits when they want to, and they're fiercely protective, sometimes overly so. among other various similarities. one of the differences is just that loop has had a while to mellow out and nille uh. Hasn't.

I just got caught up on a lot of cryptid AU stuff and Sky and Groose's relationship is very interesting to me. At first I was like, "????" but then you explained in the post and now it makes sooo much sense and I actually really really like it. I have DID and his whole situation with two halves of a whole becoming one is so fascinating. (I went through something similar so I'm very interested in this kind of stuff.) I love the birb boi very much and I'm happy he's your fav 'cause he's mine too. :3

(The alt who went through, essentially the same thing as Sky, may or may not let me write fanfic of the two meeting & him helping Sky adjust, would that be okay?) Wild. Can I talk about Wild? I've been dying to talk about Wild. Cryptid Wild touches something in my soul. Just. The silence. The curiosity. The innocence. The tragedy. The wanderer. The watching from afar. The Lost Boy. I just. Ajkhshtrsj. He makes me feel deep and profound things and I adore him for that.

I want to give him a giant hug and just hold him for a while and tell him he's not alone and that it'll be okay but I get the sense that he would NOT vibe with hugs or contact out of the blue. (You can't stop me from hugging Sky though, birb boy's getting tackled off a cliff. HE HAS WINGS IT'S FINE. :D)

I want my favs (Sky & Wild) to interact but idk how close you plan on them being or how much interaction you plan on having between the two of them. I don't even know what kind of dynamic they'd have in your AU if any, they both seem kinda lost in their own heads/situations.

They're kind-of inverses of each other, now that I think about it: Wild's trying to grapple with being someone he can't remember, and Sky's trying to grapple with being TWO "people" he CAN remember! A memory vacuum and memory overload... man now I want to see them talk about that.

How much does Wild think about who he was before? Sky's kinda smacked in the face with it, but Wild seems (fittingly) very distracted by the moment. But is it distraction, avoidance, or both? He still has the soul of Link (... right?), but he no longer remembers what that means. Does he want to? Does he feel overwhelmed even thinking about trying? adkutfkuvluyvlig. Too many Wild thoughts. ♥

Also why doesn't Legend like Wind turning into his water form (I forget what it's called)? He looked freaked out by it and asked him to not do that; why? Did I miss something? /gen, I don't think I've caught up on everything yet.

Okay I’ll try to break this up to answer all of your questions and ramble a bit haha!

SKY AND GROOSE! Yeah, there’s a lot of tension there. Sky is… an entirely new person. He has the memories of both Link and Aepon, but he interprets those experiences differently than either of them would. Link and Aepon both had entirely different mindsets, so of course the result of their fusion would be left to interpret things on his own.

Link never cared enough about himself to care about what Groose said to him/did to him. Self sacrificing to a fault and very forgiving. (Kind of by design, too. Hylia needed her Hero to be willing to risk his life for the good of others). Aepon was Link’s other half, his Goddess given protector, and thus he had the traits that Link lacked. He was a strong, proud bird. He cared enough about Link to care what Groose had to say about him. And then he was kidnapped! And Groose just kept hurting Link! And Aepon’s!!! Not!!! Having!!! That!!!

And so Sky was very conflicted about Groose. His Link half wanted to be friends! His Aepon half wanted nothing to do with him! And then Groose… said some very unkind things. I think that Groose is a very defensive person. When he feels hurts or threatened in any way, he lashes out. He had been at a point with Link where they were close! They were friends! They faced the end of the world together! And then suddenly all of that changed and Groose doesn’t understand why. Just. Suddenly Sky started giving him the cold shoulder. And that… hurt. And when Groose is hurt? His first instinct is to punch back.

So Sky was on the fence and Groose started falling back into old habits, just being so so rude. He called Sky a monster, treated him like he was just some thing that had stolen his friend away from him. And if Sky was undecided before, that pushed him right over the edge. Sky is not fond of Groose.

(Sun has not ridden on Sky’s back, but he wouldn’t be opposed! He loves taking people on flights! It’s just that he was only home for three days after Demise and he hasn’t been to his era in so long. Sky will fly with Sun! Now, Sun does still have Aria, but they’ll take turns haha!)

WILD!!! He does not vibe with hugs. Pretty much ever. Anyone who grabs him, he will immediately take that as being restrained and he will run away. He is a FREE SPIRIT!!! He’d like to keep it that way.

Sky and Wild do interact! Like, a lot! I think there’s this misconception going around that the Cryptids don’t like Wild? Particularly I’ve seen it with Legend haha! But no!! Wild is so loved! The others are annoyed by his constant thievery but to be honest, it’s kind of endearing! When Wild is focused on one of the members of my Chain, he’s SO focused on them. He’s caring, he’s genuinely very sweet. AND he can be bribed with cool rocks and colorful leaves so. Winning.

Sky and Wild have this whole arc surrounding the Master Sword. Sky’s inseparable from the blade but Wild… he knows something’s not right. He wants to see what will happen if he takes it away. (Sky will not let him steal it).

And… okay. So. Wild struggles so much with the whole being Link thing. He is definitely 100% avoiding it. He spends all of his time running away from Flora, but he’s really running away from who he used to be. He has no memory of ever being mortal- his life is completely irrelevant. Link and the Child of the Mountains are separate. WILD WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. He does not want to remember. He does feel overwhelmed.

Still… there are certain things that he cannot run from. And that bothers him SO MUCH.

LEGEND AND WIND!!! What’s Legend’s issue with Wind’s natural form? Please don’t hate me, but Legend is being racist. I have a lot of lore written out about their dynamic and the circumstances that led them to this point. Here’s a post about the War! And here’s a post more specifically about Wind!

But basically, to sum it up. There’s this big war that spans across the timelines between the Mer and Aquili. In Legend’s timeline, the Mer won and he was taught to hate “Sea Monsters.” He was chased from his home by an Aquili scavenger and was never allowed to return, and so he had a very deeply seated hatred AND FEAR of Aquili. In Wind’s timeline, the conflict is still ongoing but it’s not as extreme since Hyrule flooded. He lives on an island of refugees- Mer and Aquili who fled the ocean to find peace. Because of this, the war is distant to him. Something that he’s not connected to. Although… in loosing ties with his people, he’s lost ties with his culture.

I actually have so much more to say about Outset Island in my au! I’m planning on making another big lore post soon where I can go in detail about it!

And I promise that Legend will come to his senses! Soon!

“Memes guardians can hide his scars with magic and make their faces and body completely cleans and without any scratches! (Unfortunately, the null textures doesn’t apply to this, One and Two try to hide them and it was useless). With this being said~

- Smg4 does have scars from IGBP, but hides them after those events. But the eye where the hidden scars are turns pink.

- Smg3 does have a few scars, some of them weren’t hide them, but others were because he might or not regret what he did during the YouTube Arc

hold on, you do the "4's eye turns pink bc of IGBP"? Me too OMG!! (*incoming goop!4 rambling*) Ok, for those who read my goop!4 arc, then you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Though, instead of having it happen on his left eye, I have it for both.

Basically, the premise I have is: once after the goo is "activated" so to speak, any strong emotion 4 has comes out of the depths of his guts and soul, his eyes turn magenta. It especially happens if he is threatened emotionally and/or physically. The thing is that the two sides of him are fighting to "take control" of his body, for what's good for 4. And ofc 4 isn't willing to accept the trauma and pain he went through in IGBP, accept this other side of him. But for a parasite like the goo, it'll come out, one way or another. So, in the rare moments 4 turns serious (like the end of Puzzlevision movie), his eyes flash magenta.

Protect the host. And we know how self-sacrificial he can be.

Accepting trauma doesn't mean that it'll all be okie-dokie right away or that those problems will disappear. As much as you hate it, I'll always be a part of you. But acceptance is a way to deal with it, to make it not feel as overwhelming as before. It's why I love goop!4 so much, and want it to be true, it's a needed lesson of personal healing from suppressed memories and emotions in today's world.

It's why once 4 accepts himself, we get a sign of his two sides no longer fighting against each other, his eyes. Ah yes, the birth of heterochomia 4 (aka the horus headcannon) *finger guns*. Aside from other things like his glitch powers ofc, but that's a story for another day ^^

hiii you've mentioned before that mohs lives with tuff, and in your sketchbook doodles post, you said "TUFF MY BELOVED". do you have any specific headcanons or character traits in mind for tuff? ::0 and are they roommates with mohs just out of necessity, or did they Want to share a place?

Ooh, this was such a fun ask to wake up to! I've left a little ramble above the cut to do with my canon musings; and anything to do with OC interaction I have popped below. I will also maybe compile a list of headcanons to post separately if this gets too long.

I've always loved Tuff, I think since I saw them in my first ever loop, I was curious as to why they would choose to work in the mines so close to something (The Zero-G Cave) that gives them so much anxiety. I ended up thinking on it for a little while as I was helplessly spinning around the "broken satellite" and it made me think they're actually pretty brave to be willing to work in such close proximity to something that makes them feel physically sick. I'm a sucker for that "hard-work and determination can overcome anything" attitude (even if, in Tuff's case, it may not come across as enthusiastically as other characters who follow this trope), so I was immediately intrigued, haha! Because of this, I wonder if maybe they were a tutor to Riebeck for a little while whilst our archaeologist was in training. It's cute to imagine the pair sat at the gaping maw of the entrance to the Zero-G pit, legs dangling over the edge (it's scary!), as Tuff talks to Riebeck about how it's okay to feel afraid, and sometimes even feel physically sick. But if you love something and want to pursue it, you shouldn't let that fear get in the way.

I also think they look really visually interesting. What happened to their ear? Heck, what happened to both of their ears? They have way more tears than your standard hearthian. They also have a really unique facial model - with their ear placement putting them at around the same age as Hatchy or Marl - but they certainly look a lot older. I never really came up with a reason for this, perhaps they just look a bit older because they're always so worried, or they don't get enough sun because they're working a lot of the time, haha! To be honest, I think they are a bit older, but I'm not sure by how much. I'd like for them to be able to tutor Riebeck a little as aforementioned, so they would have to at least have a few years on them I suppose!

Also, look at their eyes! They're so pretty.

Anyhow, in regard to their situation with Mohs - this came about thanks to a conversation with my good friend Merry. Mohs needed a place to live, and they couldn't just live in the museum, haha! So, I had a think.

The village is relatively small and I think that most hearthians likely cabin share due to the communal nature of their species anyway. Some folks hop from cabin to cabin depending on how they feel, whilst others prefer to have a more settled and firm "home" - and Mohs is one of those folks. They enjoy having roots in the ground and somewhere they can return to after a hard day's work, so to speak.

Their living situation is, I guess the best way to describe it would be "professional"? Like two working professionals sharing a home together. They get on well with each other, are polite and courteous, occasionally have dinner together and chat about how their days have been - but due to the nature of their work, it's not uncommon for one to be home and the other away. Basically, I sat down and had a think about the kind of hearthian Mohs would appreciate in their life when they were ready to make a little space for themself in a cabin, and I thought - someone who is a little older than them, someone who is knowledgeable about geology, and someone that Mohs feels safe and comfortable around. Hornfels and Gossan ticked those boxes, but as Mohs already works closely with Hornfels at the museum for the Outer Wilds Geological Survey stuff, it felt a bit odd to have them also living together. I like Gossan, and so does Mohs, but honestly the likelihood of Mohs willingly hanging out with Gossan, even as a hatchling, is low due to their fear of flying.

So! I settled on Tuff, hehe! I just think they're neat. They're gentle and kind, have a sensible head on their shoulders and are well versed in earth sciences, so it just made sense!

Thoughts on Hannibal

If you ask why do I keep posting ramblings no one really cares about, just know that this is, like, 40% of what happens inside of my brain. Something needs to come out eventually 😂.

I don't think I'm that "expert" on this, but I can say without a doubt that the series is very complete. The script between the seasons is very well tied together, the character development is great, the production/direction is very competent and the performances are absolutely impeccable. Everyone knows what they're doing there and I think this is my Mads Mikkelsen's favorite work so far (I may add that Hollywood wastes his talent SO MUCH. This show made justice to what he can do as an actor).

I also NEED to talk about the actors who play other serial killers in the series. Really, where did they find these people and why don't I see more of them in bigger productions? Each one brings an eccentricity so specific, so unique, and I was truly amazed by each of the performances. I'll leave the reservation for Richard Armitage and what he did with Red Dragon ... That man gave me a mix of sensations that I haven't felt in a LONG time for a character.

The ending of the story was perfect. All the uncertainties they build throughout the story about Hannibal make sense in the end, which leaves you even more in the dark about the characters. What happened to Molly and her son? Where did Alana and Margot run away? How is Jack doing after accounting for all the losses Hannibal caused him? Fuck, is Chilton really going to die at some point? When Du Maurier appears at the dinner table, has Hannibal fulfilled the promises he made to everyone else before going after her?

I looked for information about a possible new season. All I saw was a wish to do so, but lack of interest from those paying (which is very sad). Anyway, all my delay in finishing the series was my fault, because despite any laziness on my part, Hannibal is a complete series in all aspects. It doesn't promise pompous things, but it delivers beyond the great, with a discreet quality that sells itself. I know I'm going to really miss something like this.

Going to preface this by saying that I have preferences, and those preferences tend to veer towards gay shit and people who don't initially get along ending up ride or die, and as such a high proportion of these are going to be Revalink.

Anyway. The fic that got me into that ship, changed my brain chemistry, and is a large part of why I go !!!! about ghosts (literal and nonliteral) haunting the narrative, characters with amnesia who are supposed to be dead, and the Rito as a whole, is Pinesong by aperplexingpuzzle and that is the fic that makes me go "if you read NOTHING else in this fandom read THIS holy fuck."

(But also you should be reading other things too, because there is so much good shit and I adore it greatly I go back to reread my favorites regularly. Also check out the authors I mention apart from just the fics I link there is so much good fic I'm forcing myself to just pick one per author or else I will be here literally all day.)

Next up: Moonlight (every single night) by Heleentje. Do you like time loops? Do you like characters slowly, painstakingly figuring out how to get it right? Did you get very attached to Revalink from the last fic? how about some ~queerplatonic Zelink~ in this trying time?

Frankly, it is very hard to pick just one fic by Ginneke, they've got so many good ones but I'm going to have to settle on Flowers from your Beloathed, which is another Revalink fic set before the Calamity where, y'know, Revali is getting flowers from a secret admirer. Except he's Revali. Hilarity ensues and I enjoyed the hell out of this one ^-^

Also also. Come Morning Light by misscoconi. Post-Calamity, they are both idiots (affectionate) and I am starting to realize that I have a bit of a pattern in my taste in Revalink fics. Huh. I'll unpack that later actually.

Skybound Wishes by Baddrummer is unfinished (unlike most of the fics I've recommended here) but y'all. Y'all it makes me lose my shit in so many ways because I am a SLUT for creative fix-it fics and gratuitous weaving-in of references to other games in ways that still respect the established canon but respect all of it, y'know, not just doing the TOTK thing of "actually nothing pre-BOTW matters anymore and neither does BOTW lol."

...I am starting to realize there may be a reason why I don't have a lot of TOTK recs. Also if this post is starting to sound unhinged and disconnected that's probably because I'm bouncing between Tumblr and studying for one of my finals like a ping pong ball.

But I do have one really, really big fic rec for TOTK. Y'all should check out Show Me the World Outside by IllusionOfDeath. The Sages get to do things, the Divine Beasts don't just vanish without a word, the Champions get actual recognition, and you can tell that the author is the Linguistics Georg (affectionate) of the fanfic world.

Anyway I think I will shill myself a bit too since you gave me permission to anon! If you read no other Zelda fics by me, may I recommend no one ever mentions fear, a fic that... it really was, in a lot of ways, a love letter to the fics in the fandom that I'd read and loved before. You've got the Champions getting to live and have nice things, you've got Revali being a dumbass (affectionate), you've got gay shit, you've got Problems Being Caused by the Yiga Clan in the background.

...Oh god this post is getting. A little longer than I meant for it to I've realized. Um. I love fanfic and tbh if you end up reading everything I've recced and still want more, my bookmarks on AO3 are public and I tend to bookmark just about everything I've read and liked enough to want to find again.

DID rep is something that matters a lot to us,, to where we were actually very nervous engaging with the idea and showing our own perspectives on it. because we somehow got it in our head that people would accuse us of faking it. or misrepresenting, or whatever the sort. which! seems a little silly, now that it's put into words,

but those types of insecurities rule over us, so seeing it elsewhere is very deeply encouraging!! we're two years out of our bad life, and like... a year into figuring out who we are. so i think that'd be a good start! ehehe...

it's hard to accept the idea of being treated softly, even Now, but maybe it'd be easier to get used to the idea and the feeling if it's not.. Directly us experiencing that gentleness. hard to say, but an exciting experiment to conduct in soon time.

DID rep is super important for me too! (which is why I have a review blog specifically for reviewing DID in media - @bunnidid-reviews ) I haven't done a proper review in a while, but I'm always trying to sniff out pieces of media that treat DID with compassion most of all

About your insecurities of being fakeclaimed, I can relate to that. I've done many things to mitigate ever being directly pointed at for having DID, like partitioning off my parts stuff and integrating them into stories so they're more like OCs, as well as changing details so when people do get nasty, at least I have some distance. It's not a silly fear, it can be very destabilizing when the disorder is based on denial itself. However, I've only ever had two people try to fakeclaim me, and one is a stalker who doesn't understand DID but I trusted with details with, and the other was someone who seemed very insecure about their own DID. Both those people don't know me well enough to actually say if I do or not, when I've been knowing and working around this for about 8 years.

And as for not feeling worthy of being treated softly, you are. But I also understand the struggles with not feeling worthy or conflicted about it, which is a major theme of my art. It might be worthwhile exploring the darker themes of the disorder in your art and stories. I find it helps me a lot to put my feelings into some sort of form that I can also look at later.

Also, no one says you have to post it publicly! I have dozens of writings that the public will never see. I have art I don't share with anyone at all. I just post here so Rou and Chime can see it without me shoving it in their face =v= )b (I also cant tell when im developing OCs or if parts are drawing always)

This may be a bit of a weird ask, but I sometimes feel like I can't really form my own opinion on media I consume. Like, most of the time, while going through hi3's story for example, I follow the story but I don't really think about it? Like, I try to understand what's happening but most of the time (although sometimes I have some thought pop up) it's like I'm just one with the story. And what especially makes me feel like I can't make my own opinions is just how much of other's people's opinions on stuff I see. And when I think about it now, did I ever form an opinion that wasn't "stolen" or "borrowed" from someone else? I also sometimes feel like I was consuming different media from someone cause I'll be like "Wow, x character did y and z that was kinda cool" and another person will be like "Yea it reminds of how Mr.Squarckletickle died to become god and that one napkin was referencing Greek god Coulnaemeus and it was a really shocking to find out that bubblesquigle was actually a son of that god who saves and ruined countless civilization which was all depicted in the book you can find near a bench in CoolPlace" and I just feel like, bad, because sometimes I forget a line right after reading and I only notices very obvious things after second playthrough, but it feels like other people just manage to magically store and find all the lore in their brain while also managing to have a life and do stuff and I'm like. I feel incompetent and that they know some kinda secret that I don't. Anyways this is just me rambling you can delete this ask if you want

Overall it's totally fine to feed off the opinions of others, that's how humans learn what an opinion is, and all the kinds of opinions one can have, BUT. The fact that you're aware and unsatisfied, makes me think that's something about your habits you want to change. And I'm here to tell you: it's totally possible! It's basically studying material, so it can also make you better at academia, haha.

Like... it's not magic! It's very much a learned skill (and a passion for me). It requires rereading, and thinking about things with a bit of distance (in the heat of the moment I also tend to go WOAH THAT WAS COOL), and maybe writing down your thoughts, stuff like that. I often realize things as I describe them to my friends excitedly.

Pick something short to practice analyzing if you have trouble "storing lore", that's totally fine. For example, you can find a poem you like on this website and try to analyze it, and then go look at how other people analyze it. That'll be easier to start on that a video game since poems tend to be short and packed with meaning to find, and since you can often find what other people say about classic works, you can figure out how much you picked up on and what you missed.

You can look up the ways analysis is done too, there's a methodology to it! Sparknotes has a breakdown that'd be a good starting point.

Just try to have fun with it, it's like solving a puzzle. "What did the author try to convey? Did they succeed? Why did they phrase it this way, what is the subtext? Where does it fit in a bigger picture, if there is one? How does it further a theme or message?"

Who is the most memorable person you've ever seen? Why are they so memorable?

“One guy I met a few years ago, Anathi. He was interesting. A little, uh, repressed due to having never really interacted with anyone for three years. Um. He was an ultimate, but like way taller than average, so also physically memorable. Haven't seen him in years though. So, anyway, did you know the human mind can never forget a face? And it also can't make up one, either. So, if you see someone you don't know in your dream, you have to have seen them on the street at some point!”

What's your go-to beverage?

“Water. And I'm not saying that to be boring. It's just objectively the best beverage. It keeps you healthy, hydrated. Why waste money on carbonated garbage? Everyone should be drinking water. It does nothing but help you. Except people who are allergic to water, but that is an incredibly rare condition.”

What's the stupidest argument you've ever gotten into?

“There is literally no such thing as a stupid argument. However, I did get punched in the face when I lectured this one kid about how landings didn't count as steps. Of course, they do, but I thought it would be funny if I tried to convince him they did not. Apparently I pissed him off.”

How do you act when you're over-tired?

“I become more easy to distract. Overwhelmed, maybe anxiety. More reserved. I also start noticing my mistakes more. I also keep thinking I'm sick. That's much better than some. Think about it: I could be yelling and screaming at everyone. I could become an evil dictator. But I don't. I just affect me, and in the end, that's much better.”

“Oh, man. Everything! Dinner and a movie. Holding hands as we walk through an art exhibit. Strolling or hiking through nature. The classic stuff! That reminds me... I need to plan something for Gwen... A bit nervous to ask her out, to be honest, but Robbie says she won't mind what we do as long as we're together. Which weirdly specific superpower would you prefer: ability to cook eggs in any manner and have them turn out perfectly, or ability to always recommend a piece of media someone else will enjoy?

“Eggs. Gonna be honest, I almost want the second one, but I can already do that! I have excellent tastes. Although maybe that is, like, a superpower or something and it would go away when I get the eggs power. Hm. Eggs because I genuinely also want to help my mom out in the kitchen. I mean, I can already make eggs, but I get overwhelmed most of the time, so I stick to scrambled just so I know I'm doing it right. So yeah, eggs. If my media powers go away, I don't care, because I'll still love my stupid cartoons.”

Most awkward conversation you've ever had?

“Oh, God. Why. Why must you make me remember this?? Sooo I had this playhouse I went to as a kid. One of my friends there was this girl Ava. We went to that playhouse for years! And one day, she came to my seventh grade play on The Secret Garden. I was hanging with Akash and another kid in the play, Bryan. Ava comes up to us after the play to congratulate me and say hi. And then I said, 'Bryan, let me introduce you to my old friend...' and then I blanked for a solid 17 seconds on her name. It was awful. I said, 'Ava' at the same time Akash did to cover for me.
