8. Archangels Consort by Nalini Singh (4*)
<b>4 stars</b>
man i just love Elena & Raphael so fuckin much
(and the next book isn't about them cryyy😢)
(not knocking the other couples til I try them, but I was looking at the book/couple thing and gotta say some of the couples sure are a choice, when there are others I'd be more interested in that seem to have no books of their own..)
i was hoping calian would make a bigger splash than she did at the end tbh, but hopefully we'll get to see a lot more of her in the future🤞🏻I wanna see her and raphael, but also Elena with her mil - those woule be some scenes
(ik ik they are babies still, <s>and we've seen nothing that would indicate sth but lemme be delulu e n way</s> but a possible Sam and Evelyn couple in the future anyone?👀)
my rationality when it comes to this series? out the window. I love this world and I LOVE love love Elena & Raphael and a lot of the secondary characters, but most importantly have I said how much I love Elena and Raphael? they make such an amazing couple and the way they grow with each other, accept each other for all that they are good <i>and</i> bad, I just *clenched fist* love them sm, your honour🥺
Raphael finally showed Elena how angels dance and it was🥵
if death goddess could fuck off that would be nice, she's seriously annoying, and ion like the way she's into Raphael
next up; dimitri, but I don't wanna part with Raphael and Elena😭🤧

The Council of Twelve A - Z / S for Simin
When it comes to writing, with six published books and the seventh in the series in line, I sometimes feel a little bit like I need to keep things in my books a secret, fearfully protecting my stories because I could give away too much to the ones who haven’t read ‘The Council of Twelve’ series yet. But aren’t the background stories, the little details, behind the scenes, the interesting part of…

Crowley’s Memory of Saraqael and Furfur
There’s a distinct parallel to be drawn from Crowley’s interactions with both Saraqael and Furfur. Both times, Crowley pretends that he doesn’t know who they are. Both times, the opposite party explains who they are to him in detail. But what are the differences?
Furfur. Furfur comes into the dressing room with just Crowley and Aziraphale. He tells Aziraphale that they’ve never met, but Crowley has met him. Furfur explains to Crowley that they were in the same legion before the Fall. Crowley says that he remembers going into battle, but not going into battle with Furfur. Furfur becomes agitated and explains how they fought together. Then says that it doesn’t matter, because Crowley broke the Infernal Code by consorting with an angel. Then the rest of the scene ensues. But why did Crowley say that he didn’t remember Furfur?
It was the only power that Crowley could show in the situation. If he lashed out immediately then Furfur knows for certain that he’s guilty. If Crowley acts like he doesn’t remember Furfur then it could be plausible that he didn’t know that Aziraphale was an angel. It’s plausible deniability. His status in Hell also helps with this. From what we know the lower demons wants to be him and the higher demons are annoyed by him. The lower demons know that he gets to work on Earth, almost for himself, but the higher ups don’t like that he acts indifferent and can be quite arrogant. So when Furfur comes saying that he’s broken some rules, Too Cool For Hell-Crowley starts answering, “Who are you? I can’t even remember who you are. How was I supposed to know he was an angel? Who cares?”
Saraqael. The first thing that Saraqael does is answer Crowley’s question to Muriel about Gabriel’s trial which he hadn’t even started to ask yet. They say his chosen name and then say that they didn’t think that they would ever see him again(not too affectionately but not hateful either). Crowley says that he doesn’t know them and it seems genuine. Saraqael says ‘when you were an angel; we worked together on the Horsehead Nebula.’ During this statement, they’re almost smiling, but then he answers that he meets a lot of people whilst laughing, and this annoys them(similar to Gabriel later). But did he actually remember them or not? If he doesn’t, why pretend?
I think Crowley remembers who they are after they mention the Horsehead Nebula. Simply, because he laughs. At first, he looked like there was a blank, but of course, a nebula would trigger his memory. If he remembers them or not, he has two options: tell them he knows them or tell them he doesn’t. Pretending that he remembered them would maybe give Saraqael a reason to trust him. If they trust him, maybe they will let him look at the file anyway. If he does the opposite, pretend he doesn’t know them(or maybe he really didn’t), then it almost looks more honest and trustworthy. For some reason, most of the angels don’t take the time to remember them whether Crowley knows that or not, up for debate. But if he really wanted to get into the file, then wouldn’t the best way to be making a friend like he did with Aziraphale? But for some reason, he knows that it isn’t. Because I really do think that if he had told them that he had remembered, they wouldn’t have believed him. I think either way, they were going to let him into the file. The archangels believed that Crowley and Aziraphale had more information. Yes, he got himself into the file and all that, but Saraqael didn’t try to smite him, and that means that he chose right.
Between these two interactions, Crowley acts very differently to the two people involved. To Furfur, he acts indifferent, but also agitated. He’s wearing his hat to his brow with his glasses on and he keeps his legs turned away from him. To Saraqael, he looks them in the eyes with glasses that are quite light, comparatively. He doesn’t turn away and he stays engaged. He even laughs. The first thing that Furfur brings up the War and the Fall. Two things I don’t believe Crowley likes to remember. The first thing Saraqael does is answer questions and reminds him about stars(some of Crowley’s favorite things). They don’t bring up the War or the Fall or even Eden. They bring up the fact that they worked together on the stars. I think he respected them for that.
So does he remember them? I think so. I think maybe that he was drawing a blank on Saraqael, because from what we see in Before The Beginning, Crowley was very absorbed in his work. So he might would need some specifics to help him out. Furfur, on the other hand, he might not have remembered, because he blocked him out, because he tried to block the Fall and the War out. Either way, it was plausible deniability on his part. My main reason for his memory being intact(perfect?no) is Muriel and Gabriel. When Gabriel is in the bookshop with just Crowley, they talked about gravity and he said that it seemed like a good idea when “we” were all talking about it. He also knows Muriel’s rank and class without them ever mentioning it prior. He also knows exactly what their job entails. He also remembers where Gabriel was pulling those lines from when he would “wake” up. Crowley seems like he has a handle on his memories. Now, could there be something wrong with them or did something happen to them? Were they fixed? Maybe, he walled some of them off like humans do. Either way, I’m excited to find out.

Good Omens Theory: Crowley was Baraqiel
I want to talk about this moment for just a second.
When Crowley and Aziraphale are being threatened with legions of demons for consorting together, Furfur takes out a little booklet of names.
And one of those is Baraqiel.
Now obviously I cannot say for sure that this is who Crowley was. No one can. But I ended up doing a little digging on the name. And here's what I found.
1.Baraqiel is the archangel of light and lightning
2. He was in charge of the guardian angels in Heaven (any guardian angels come to mind...?) and helped them with their blessings on Earth.
3. He manifested in both male and female form.
4. He is associated with the archangel Raphael, who made the stars, working alongside him to craft the universe ("I didn't make it," said Crowley to Aziraphale at the beginning. "But I worked very closely with the person who did.")
5. He is often seen to represent planets and stars.
6. He is the protector of children.
Now, again. I can't say that this is for sure. Not at all. This could be completely and utterly wrong.
But I am saying that the Clues with a capital C are very much pointing towards this being a possibility.

corruption arc Charlie…… 🤤
drabble of a backstory below the cut. Angst, tragedy, character death, the villains win, sad things happening to characters you like.
She’s filled with potential that I could guide…
One of the things that I like most about Charlie and Alastor’s relationship is that they’re equally stubborn and equally convinced that their own perspectives are correct. So I think it’s really unlikely that Alastor would ever convince Charlie that redemption is a lost cause, or that her subjects do deserve their punishments. (I also don’t think that she’d begin to crack down on who does and who does not deserve redemption and punish those who don’t; first off, that’s catholic, and second, that’s really not the type of character she is.) Rather, I think that he’d work with her ideology, and — through a combination of both gentle persuasion and stoking her disillusionment — convince Charlie to lean into her anger, her protectiveness, and her power. How dare they. How dare they treat her subjects this badly, how dare they cast her subjects’ lives aside in order to save their own, how dare they position themselves above us when we’ve never actually been all that different. A corrupted Charlie would not turn on her subjects; she would turn on the systems that subjugated them in the first place.
Starting with her father. Who allowed the exterminations to happen. Who believed his subjects to be worthless, who sacrificed their lives in order to save hers. She will not repeat his mistakes. She will right his wrongs, and will provide her kingdom with the righteous vindication it is owed. She will accomplish what he could not. Heaven’s fear was of an uprising amongst the Sinners, that their power would grow far greater than the divine, and that their fury would disrupt the holy rule that had governed all of existence since it was nothing but dust? They were right to fear her people. The system doesn’t work? Let’s change it. She doesn’t have Lucifer’s restraint, nor his baggage. She is not afraid of Heaven’s wrath; Heaven should be afraid of her. She already knows how to kill Archangels.
I wasn’t intending this to be radiobelle; I think Alastor is more “royal advisor whispering conspiratorially in his Queen’s ear” rather than her consort. But they are definitely closer here than they were when the Hotel first began. They have exchanged a number of equal deals by this point, she’s served him, he’s served her; they’re thick as thieves! Charlie’s loyalty, more than her power, has allowed Alastor to step far above and beyond the petty little Overlords he once tussled with. They’re not worth his time any more — a usurper in all but name, he has much bigger fish to fry now. His freedom is fucking delectable, he salivates at its taste.
He’s relieved to return to his old duties as Judge, Jury, and Executioner. Someone needs to replace the Devil, after all! The idea that Hell is a playground, a reprieve from consequences, a space where you are free to let your worst inhibitions take over — that stops here. Yes, of course, we need bodies to fill our army for the upcoming war; but if we’re to succeed, we can’t just be sending cattle to slaughter. We need strong, indomitable, bloodthirsty warriors to raze the holy grounds. But we cannot allow lawlessness to rule our ranks. What if someone were to slip through the cracks, and seek to snatch Her Majesty’s power? After all, he himself remains a mere Sinner, and look at what he managed to accomplish. He’s only looking out for Charlie’s best interests; taking care of what she still does not have the stomach for. And, as much as he does miss cooking for himself… the royal chefs really do know their way around a choice cut!
Vaggie misses the old Charlie. The dreams she once believed in with all her heart, they’re just dust in the wind now. The woman she swore her life to isn’t even visible in the sparkle of her eyes; every time Vaggie looks at her, she just remembers what they once had, what they could have had, and what she really wanted to have happen.
If she was any stronger of a person, Vaggie would have left by now. Gone where, she doesn’t know, but she would have left. But she’s not a person anymore. Her whole worth is defined by what she is to Charlie, what she can do for Charlie, where she is in Charlie’s world. So here she stays: the fight gone out of her eyes, the love she once shared only a distant memory, her oath silver-solid and unbreakable. She has no other choice left.
Here’s my initial design sketch, since I know some people like to see it

We need to talk about the Archangel Michael.
No, seriously we NEED to talk about Michael because I think she's going to be way more important than we currently think.
(quick side note: I will be jumping between pronouns for everyone involved because I go by vibes and also bc I'm trans and I like doing it. Hopefully it won't be too confusing, but I'll try to make it clear who I am talking about.)
So! Welcome back to Alex's unhinged meta corner. In accordance with the usual essay rules, let's begin with my hypothesis before we go down a long, probably very unhinged spiral.
I completely underestimated how thorough I was going to be, so to not overwhelm everyone with a miles long post, I will be dividing this meta into parts and will post them as I finish them.
A lot of small details have been fluttering around my mind over the last few weeks, and I think I am finally starting to put all the pieces together—and there are a LOT.
Part 1: Season One and Michael's Rank
We know them as one of the three (four—but that's another post) Archangels next to Gabriel and Uriel. While Gabriel's title was that of the Supreme Archangel, Michael's is explicitly stated in episode one of season two as 'duty officer', which, broadly speaking, makes them the Watcher, the one in charge in the case of Gabriel's absence for whatever reason, taking command where he can't; usually that probably meant him simply being busy and not him being unemployed and naked.
Their position is further signified by their ring, which resembles the Ophanim, the many-eyed angel wheels.

They are the one to keep a literal eye on things—they find pictures of Aziraphale and Crowley in S1 in the Observation Files, they watch over the heavenly hosts, they oversee plans, everything.
Michael even takes it a step further and (presumably created) the grapevine with hell, having direct contact to higher ranking demons such as Ligur, most likely also Dagon, and Beelzebub.
This is where we get to my theory: Michael is actively working with demons against both heaven and hell. It doesn't mean that they care about preserving earth, though they might later on, but that whatever plans heaven currently has are to be stopped.
I'm going to take this one step further and say that Michael also knew about Gabriel and Beelzebub, and helped him escape.
Now to the fun part: the evidence!
In season one, they are interested in stopping Crowley and Aziraphale from preventing the apocalypse, but that does not mean that they agree with the plans heaven has for said event—only that they need it to happen so their own agenda can stay on track. She has information she technically shouldn't, like, well, literally all the details about how, when, and what is going to go down
This is due to heaven and hell's general cooperation, which is its own post, but all of that runs through them.
That 'apparently' is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, it's the basic and plausible deniability that's required for them to not be in trouble. She is also in charge of ORGANIZING the troops, fulfilling her role as a navigator.
On top of that, the way she talks to Ligur highly mirrors the way two covert operatives might talk to one another, using phrases like 'our man' and 'working for you'. The mere assumption Michael makes here, that Aziraphale could be a spy, implies that there ARE already spies and angels working for hell.
Consorting with the enemy is allowed as long as it is done within a very specific framework, so Michael and Ligur are free to do so, while Aziraphale and Crowley are working outside of it, which gives heaven & hell the basis to punish them for it.
I think the phrasing of this sentence is also quite interesting.
Not "time to come back to heaven" or anything along the lines that takes Aziraphale's ethereal status into account, no, she simply says he needs to 'choose sides'—and who is to say that he needs to choose heaven or that heaven and hell are the only sides one can choose? Additionally, Michael is the one to bring the holy water to hell while they send one of the Erics, and while the trial as a whole holds a certain tension, there does not seem to be any open animosity between him and the dukes of hell.
In short, Michael is working with hell behind the scenes, likely pursuing their own goals, and standing in opposition to heaven.
Moving on to season two, and here it gets REALLY fun.
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4 - Part 5
(hopefully it will just be five. it was supposed to be two. then three. but here we are)

Although I mainly see the first six episodes of s13 as an engaging portrayal of two grief-stricken people lacking the tools to deal with what has happened to them, I can also totally see them as the so-called "widower arc". Two things can be true at the same time because yes, Dean was totally grieving Cas' death. But I'll make it worse for you.
Maybe I'm biased by the many times I've read the term "widower arc" but Dean was 100% looking for a consort in Cas in s12 (yes, "consort", I'm tired of "partner" or "boy/girlfriend", they're weak terms, give me "sharing destiny" type of old words) so I think this interpretation is not so far-fetched.
We have a grieving widow(er), a desired consort who's dead and then resurrects and a son who's been defined as "the rising son". As I've already said these are some of the elements of one of the most ancient myths in Western culture, that is the myth of Isis and Osiris.
Now, of course it was not a retelling of that myth, I don't even think it was a conscious effort to shape the story that way but sometimes symbols will be symbols, what can you do?
First of all, two brothers: Set and Osiris and Lucifer and Cas. We know how it goes, one brother kills the other (As an aside in one version Set built a wooden chest and tricked Osiris to enter into it just to seal it and drown it in the Nile. We have totally NEVER seen this image in Supernatural. Not even ONCE).
Things get very interesting from here on because in the myth there's a lot of focus on the body of the deceased brother, Osiris/Cas. The most famous way Set disposed of his brother's corpse was to cut it into pieces, to... tear him apart if you will. It is then kinda WILD that AU!Michael kills "his" Lucifer the same way:
MIchael: I killed my Lucifer. Tore him apart in the skies over Abilene. But hey, can’t get enough of a good thing.
Apparently, the body must be somehow intact for resurrection to happen. In the myth Isis has to find his husband's bodyparts scattered all over Egypt in order to resurrect him. So we need to pay extra close attention to Cas' body which we are actually shown in that tragic scene where Dean prepares him for the pyre. So it's Dean who takes care of Cas' body, who "collects" it, just like Isis. Interesting.
In SPN "What gets burned stays dead", therefore Cas cannot resurrect, or so they think. The mantra is repeated by Jack in "Tombstone" when he first sees his father. To be honest, we don't really know how Cas resurrects. For the first time we see what happens to him between death and rebirth but we miss the technicalities. We can only assume that Cas' ashes were enough. Or maybe, just maybe, that's just a rule that applies in Chuck's story. Just saying.
I'm not sure if they try to discover how Jack managed to do that but the point remains: it was Jack who woke Cas up in the Empty.
And why did he do that? Well, because he can. The very first thing that Jack does is resurrecting Kelly in an episode aptly named "The Future", where Jack is sort of introduced via his mother's resurrection. He doesn't know how to use this power but he unconsciously does it again with his father. And I ask again: why?
Jack wakes Cas up in "The Big Empty", four episodes into the season. He could've done it sooner? No. Because what prompts him to unconsciously act is Dean's grief. And Dean reaches his boiling point when Sam finally provokes him. Osiris/Cas dies and his consort Isis/Dean is inconsolable. Other people like Sam can forget about it, but Dean can't in every sense of the verb.
In the myth it's Isis who resurrects Osiris and has a child, Horus, with him. But she got help. Dean's only human but there is a demi-god running around in his bunker so I think that helped. And Cas must be credited for the effort and the pushing.
Let's just say that resurrecting Castiel took three, actually four people okay? It required a team effort. Because none of them is a fully-fledged god like God or Amara or some Archangel who can just snap their fingers and boom welcome back to Life. Coaxing someone into resurrection (a resurrection with consent) takes a lot of willpower... and a lot of love.
I said four people because the last character in this little story is The Shadow. And we see this in the myth as well!
Isis doesn't "just" resurrect Osiris, she has to convince the motherfucker. Cause, you see, Osiris's heart was tired. A tired heart! Oh so beautiful! He didn't see the reason to go back to life. He was sooo tired. Isis has to literally seduce him back to life. And... this is kind of what The Shadow does, but in reverse? It tells Castiel to go back to sleep, to find peace, it's been in his mind and he wants to sleep, it knows!
The Shadow is Cas' tiredness, all his failures and regrets. But, as I said, it takes a lot of willpower and a lot of love to resurrect the dead, this is what Isis teaches us actually. To love more and then some more. And Cas loves back and he loves hard.
Castiel: You can prance and you can preen and you can scream and yell and remind me of my failings but somehow, I’m awake. And I will stay awake and I will keep you awake until we both go insane. I will fight you. Fight you and fight you for…ever. For eternity.
He didn't come back because he annoyed an ancient cosmic being. He came back because he loved.
So Osiris/Cas are back to life and that's good, right? Well... yeahhh. The thing is that Osiris will then live in the world of the dead so he kinda doesn't really really stay alive for long. And Isis will follow him. Things will likely go bad for Cas.
But the story continues!
Set/Lucifer and Horus/Jack engage in a rather disturbing (in the myth) struggle for power. The myth has different endings: in one they reconcile, in another they divide the realm, in yet another one Horus is the one true winner. So we don't really know (from this point in the narrative) how things will actually turn out for the two of them.
Isn't it interesting? Well, it's not surprising because there is a connection between christian stories and greek and egyptian ones but still? Kinda cool to see how myths keep repeating and repeating. As if we're still trying to understand them.
Anyway: yes to the widower arc, yes to love piercing through the veil of death. Both ways! It takes the love of two to resurrect.

How it's feel working with asherah and what make you interested working with her
Asherah or Ashirat is a Goddess of fertility, love and life and the wife of the chief God El Elyon in the Canaanite pantheon, quite similar to Ashtar without the warlike associations. In fact, in my own gnosis (and in most Canaan interpretations) I consider Ashirat to the mother of Ashtar and Anat, that is the holy nurturing mother as opposed to the sexy sex feminine rage archetype that encompasses other aspects of Ashtar and Anat as love Goddesses.
Attar and Anat, while love deities, are not mother goddesses. They likely took their fertility aspects from their mother without becoming mother goddesses themselves
Many people have syncretized these three goddesses, especially in regards to Astarte (People say that Ashirat is Astarte rather than her mother) but I prefer to keep them separate. Anat’s individuality as a deity of savagery, war and violence and Attar’s individuality as a deity of carnal sex and pleasure feel distinct from Ashirat’s persona as a nurturing mother goddess. I see her as my primary “Mother Nature” deity, although she is more than Mother Earth, she is the mother of Mother Earth, and the sun and moon. But that’s all up to interpretation. (and they’re all derived from Inanna in some way or another)
Because my gnosis syncretizes Attar, Astarte, Aphrodite, and Lucifer, and Lucifer is my patron, Ashirat is a very important Goddess to me as the mother of Venus. I actually started recognizing Ashirat far before I even knew about Ashtar.
As the Asherim pole and the lady of the primordial sea she can be considered quite similar to Aphrodite, as she was one of the influences that came to establish the persona of Aphrodite. While her daughters Attar and Anat went on to establish the more carnal and aesthetic aspects of beauty, sex, and love, as well as the destructive egotistical aspects, Ashirat embodied the beauty, sex, and love that created the cosmos and heavens.
(The children of Gods are usually the Gods of more specific things in that domain. From Aphrodite and Ares we got Eros (Cupid), from Eros and Psyche we got Voluptas who represents physical pleasure and bliss. So from Ashirat and El we get Ashtar and Anat, who represent more specific aspects of love and beauty like carnal lust and revenge- violence born from love.)
As the wife of El (or Yahweh, or Ba’al… scandalous! Isn’t it so annoying when your boyfriends fight?) she is the mother of all heavenly hosts and sons, and I consider her to be the mother of all the Archangels. There is nothing to confirm this but I believe her 70, 77, or 88 sons to have been those angels. Due to her associations with Ba’al I wouldn’t be surprised if she was also the mother of a few daemon as well.
When I first began my work as a practitioner I was mentored by Archangel Jophiel, who directly lead me into Ashirat and gave grace and full authority to her. I believe she has that same authority over all angels and demons of El Elyon.
She has dominion over all animals of nature and life giving forces (water).
As a daily act of devotion I offer her clean water and tend to plants or help out animals (feeding birds, leaving water out for strays) I also take baths whenever I do rituals with her.
She often demands honour is also given to her consort in the same way that Hera demands her devotees also worship Zeus, but you can also easily worship her without having a defined father deity, lord knows she’s shared the stage with one too many egotistical men but that’s neither here nor there lol. In my experiences she has encouraged me to make peace with the divine father, and in my searching I found Ra and Anu, and that seemed to be good enough for her. She has been very warm towards the devotees of her daughters and anyone who works with any of her sons.
The only pet peeve of her that I’ve discovered is honoring her while dehydrated. Drink your water babes she worked so hard on it.

@bobbole , following our earlier conversation… I've got a Dreamingstar headcanon for you. Based on the indication we get in Endless Nights that Morpheus, like Daniel, had white hair that slowly darkened over time.
If the Archangel Samuel was Dream's first love, then it was with The Fall that the first of Morpheus's black hairs appeared. For with the fall came the first dream crushed underfoot. The first example of how reality can destroy fantasy. And how fantasy consorting with free will, while a thing of hope and beauty, is also a dangerous thing. That can lead to Dream, skirting the borders of Delusion. And independence, toying with pride.
Watching in anguish, his love plummet to the depths of Hell, would destroy the innocence of young Dream. Samuel's fall would shatter something within him that could never again be reclaimed. He would lose a little of his wonder, his joy, his hope. And he would never again love with such openness.
Indeed, when the lovers would next meet, Samuel's glorious angelic wings would be a demonic shadow of their former glory. And Dream's sparkling mane would be shot with hair as dark as his mother's domain. That day Dream and Samuel would reunite, and Nightmare and Lucifer would be born from their embrace. Dark reflections of their gifts of inspiration and imagination, brought into being with the benevolent intent to caution and teach. With the same monstrous brutality through which they themselves had learnt.

Soul Taker Secrets - Unravel The Myths & Secrets Of An Incredible Invention Everyone & Nobody Knows
Since Katie has never been the best chef, and despite her fellow consorts helping her, on occasion, she needs to ‘whip’ up something for breakfast or brunch for Raphael, or even another one or two (or more) Council members, depending on what is going on at that point. She raised them with wisdom and love, guiding them to their roles in the celestial hierarchy. Each of her children looks up to her with reverence and love, seeing her as the ultimate source of divine wisdom.
Backstory:
Aurora was born from the same cosmic force that brought God into being, predating the universe itself. As God created the heavens and earth, she stood by his side, nurturing creation and giving life to the first angels. Her role as the divine mother expanded as more angels came into existence, and she became the guiding force behind their development and growth.
When Lucifer rebelled, Aurora’s heart broke, though she did not blame herself or her husband. She recognized Lucifer’s fall as a part of the cosmic balance but still held hope that one day he might return to the light. Her sadness over Lucifer’s descent deepened her compassion for others, leading her to take a more active role in guiding souls and offering solace.
Aurora remains a central figure in the celestial hierarchy, revered and loved by all beings of heaven. While God is seen as the creator and lawgiver, Aurora represents the nurturing and guiding aspect of divinity, a balance to His omnipotent power.
Symbols & Iconography:
* Dove & Star: Aurora is often represented by a dove carrying a glowing star, symbolizing peace, hope, and divine guidance.
* The Morning Star (Venus): Her connection to the planet Venus, the morning star, represents her role as the first light, guiding both angels and mortals.
* Lotus Blossom: A symbol of purity, beauty, and rebirth, reflecting her role in creation and nurturing.

Everyone talks about how shitty it was that Michael and Adam were cut short in s15 and how they wanted to see them go on cute dates and move in together and like. Sure. But I wish they'd been expanded in a different way. Imagine Adam being around for Michael's "betrayal" of Sam and Dean. Or maybe the angels welcome Michael out of the Cage and presenting him with the throne and Michael just...not knowing what to do. Or maybe God commands Michael to kill Jack and Michael needs to seriously grapple with potentially making the same mistake twice. And maybe all this is happening while Gabriel or Raphael is alive which adds extra archangel family drama to the pot.
All these hypotheticals just to say that I would've loved to see Michael be a part of a genuine conflict in s15 especially with Adam. They had each other for 1000+ years but now things have changed, and in the grand scheme of the Universe, what is 1000 years anyway? Maybe this was God's plan all along. Okay, so maybe all humans aren't all literally maggots, but is the fucking archangel Michael going to throw away everything he lived for for the angels' Plan B Adam Milligan?
So imagine Michael actually going back to and listening to God or Heaven and Adam being so offended not on the Winchesters' behalf, but just on principle after everything God's done. Adam gives him an ultimatum and tells him he needs to wise up or get out of his body, and Michael goes...you know what? No. I'm an archangel and you're my vessel. Why would you get a say here? So maybe Michael takes Adam for a ride, stuffs him to the back of his consciousness and gets on with his business like the Cage never happened.
Eventually Michael does leave Adam, either by halfway coming to his senses or getting kicked out by force and obviously that experience would be very traumatic for Adam who would just...not know what to do with himself after being betrayed and violated by his only friend for 1000+ years.
But whatever, right? Michael is an archangel. His Father is back. He doesn't need Adam or a vessel. (Except he sososososososo fucking does.)
So imagine Adam tagging along with tfw for some mission that goes wrong. Everyone is surrounded. It's game over. But then whatever demons or angels or whatever are about to kill them get smote like it's nothing. The ground trembles. The windows break. Absolutely blinding white light spills in. Everyone has to shield their eyes and there's this ear-grating noise that only Adam seems able to be able understand. Everyone is writhing on the ground, clutching their ears and Adam is just standing there casually like he's having a depressing and slightly tedious conversation. It goes back and forth between the most ghastly noises anyone has ever heard and Adam saying something like, "I don't know if I can trust you anymore" and this goes on for some time. We never actually hear what Michael says, but it seems to have a major effect on Adam who eventually does decide to forgive him and let him back in.
I also like the idea of Michael taking his throne back with Adam?? Like I know we're not necessarily rooting for Heaven on this show but yesss king make John's secret third son your Heavenly consort 💞💞 I do like the domestic potential Midam has but it doesn't just have to be domestic you know???
#so i hate romcom hallmark stuff but theres something rly funny to me about the potential for trueform michael to be#doing the “im sorry i messed up pls forgive me 🥺🥺🥺” speech#for adam fucking milligan#heavy bonus if cas and gabe and raph are there for this and are just like 👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️ okay#im aware this is word vomit rn but whatever#supernatural#midam#tw consent issues

I feel like no one ever talks about WHY the Metatron asked Aziraphale to step in as Supreme Archangel. Obviously he wouldn’t be the most logical choice. That would be Michael or Uriel or someone else who’s too worried about being in charge to ever drift from “God’s Plan”. Aziraphale is a mess. First, they’ve let him have SO much free reign here on Earth, and now he acts like a human and multiple humans KNOW about Heaven/Hell, and Aziraphale, in his brief times in Heaven, seems like he has absolutely no idea how to act anymore. He’s been consorting with a demon for years, the two of them stopped the entire apocalypse and got an eleven-year-old to defeat Satan Himself by basically telling him “you’re not my dad”, and literally almost started a WAR. In a bookshop. And that’s just what Heaven knows about.
And, more importantly I believe, I think it’s finally becoming evident to everybody that together, he and Crowley are insanely powerful. Crowley was a high-ranking angel before he fell, and has been offered the position as Duke of Hell before. He was the type of demon who could mouth off to Beelzebub and then walk away unscathed. And when the two of them tried to perform the tiniest of miracles together, something minuscule that no one could possibly notice, “a half miracle”, they instead performed one that could have broken RECORDS. By accident. Neither of them so much as flinched, and then even went as far as to have to CHECK after, “did it work”? You’d think that kind of power would be evident, but nope. Not for our two braincell-lacking beings.
I just think it’s finally become evident to Heaven that Crowley and Aziraphale can’t be left alone any longer. They’ve proven, now multiple times, that they have way too much power when they’re together. And they probably don’t even know it. I believe the Metatron is banking on the fact that the miracle thing never even clicked in their heads, because they’re way too worried about just being together and making the two humans across the street fall in love, and Aziraphale was only offered the position because it was a last resort. I think if he would have said no and stayed on earth with Crowley, the next step would have simply been to get rid of them altogether.
Idk I just think no one brings up how scared of these two literally everyone else is; and how little they themselves even know about it.

Light: The Fall
demon king!seonghwa x angel!reader
Summary: The mighty King of the Underworld, Seonghwa, gets intrigued by a little angel, whose light is intoxicating
Genre: angst, au, romance
Warnings: mc gets kicked out of heaven, mention of crying
<previous part / next part>
Seonghwa and Y/N’s delicate balance between light and dark had flourished in the underworld. Their love was a secret sanctuary, a place where their opposing natures could find harmony. However, Y/N had responsibilities in heaven she could not neglect. The souls she guided depended on her light, and so, with a heavy heart, she told Seonghwa she needed to return to heaven for a day.
“I promise I’ll be back,” Y/N reassured him, her eyes filled with warmth. “It’s just for a day.”
Seonghwa’s grip tightened around her hand, his dark eyes shadowed with worry. “I’ll miss you. Please, be careful.”
Y/N smiled, touching his cheek gently. “I will. I promise.”
The day in heaven was bittersweet for Y/N. She carried out her duties, guiding souls with her usual grace, but her thoughts were constantly with Seonghwa. The separation weighed heavily on her heart, but she knew she had to fulfill her responsibilities.
As the hours passed, Seonghwa’s patience wore thin. The underworld seemed colder, emptier without her presence. He paced his dark halls, his mind a storm of worry and longing. The longer she was away, the more his anxiety grew. The idea of someone else basking in her light, even for a day, gnawed at him relentlessly.
Finally, unable to bear it any longer, Seonghwa made a decision. He would go to heaven and bring her back himself. The risk was great, but his need to see her, to ensure her safety, was greater.
With a determined heart, Seonghwa ascended to the celestial realm. His dark aura was a stark contrast to the radiant beauty of heaven. As he approached, he could feel the tension in the air. Angels whispered and watched him with wary eyes.
Seonghwa found Y/N in the gardens, her light a beacon that drew him in. She turned, her eyes widening in surprise and fear as she saw him.
“Seonghwa, what are you doing here?” she whispered, glancing around nervously.
“I couldn’t stay away,” he admitted, stepping closer. “I had to see you.”
Before Y/N could respond, a commanding voice echoed through the garden. “What is the King of the Underworld doing in heaven?”
It was Gabriel, one of heaven’s most powerful archangels. His gaze was fierce, his wings shimmering with divine light. He approached them, his expression stern.
“This is forbidden, Seonghwa. You have no place here.”
Seonghwa stood his ground, his eyes blazing with determination. “I came for her. She belongs with me.”
Gabriel’s gaze shifted to Y/N, disappointment and anger mingling in his eyes. “Y/N, you have broken the sacred trust of heaven by consorting with a being of darkness. You must leave.”
Y/N’s heart sank, fear gripping her. “No, please. I was only trying to help the souls—”
Gabriel raised a hand, silencing her. “You are no longer welcome here. You are a fallen angel now.”
With a wave of his hand, a powerful force enveloped Y/N, stripping her of her celestial light. She cried out in pain as her wings darkened, her divine aura dimming until it was almost gone. Seonghwa watched in horror, his heart breaking for her.
“No!” Seonghwa roared, reaching out to her.
Gabriel stepped back, his expression cold. “Take her and leave, Seonghwa. If you ever return, there will be consequences.”
Seonghwa gathered Y/N into his arms, her trembling form pressing against him. With a final, defiant glare at Gabriel, he descended back to the underworld.
In the safety of his dark realm, Seonghwa gently set Y/N down, his heart aching at the sight of her fear and pain. Her once radiant wings were now a muted grey, her light a mere flicker of what it had been.
“I’m so sorry,” Seonghwa whispered, his voice filled with anguish. “I didn’t mean for this to happen.”
Y/N looked up at him, tears in her eyes. “What will happen to me now?”
Seonghwa cupped her face in his hands, his gaze intense and determined. “You will stay with me. I will protect you, no matter what. We will find a way to restore your light, I promise.”
Y/N nodded, leaning into his touch. Despite her fear and uncertainty, there was comfort in his presence. “I trust you, Seonghwa.”

I was extremely offended that viv make lilith below Lucifer in the hellaverse hierarchy. Viv internalized misogny is so strong she doesn't let lilith be powerful. Like hello this is the first woman who say God true name the unprouncable one. She fighting three angel like it's nothing, she in judaism become one of the consort to a supreme deity. Her consort the archangel samael and demon king asmodeus(myth are a bit confusing some said is naamah or lilith). She was very interesting then with her power empowering hell citizen and queen of hell that was so cool then it become irrelevant. Like if viv want to turn her into a dark goddess why not?
Should have been equal
