Following my redesign of Mal, here’s my take on Evie from Descendants! 👑 I wanted her look to be contrast Mal and be a lot more polished since she’s royalty. I also leaned more into prim and princess-like based on her personality in the movie, but still maintaining dark elements in her aesthetic. I gave her a little skull makeup bag as a nod to the skull in her mother’s dungeon from the original film!

In the thought process of trying to get a solid timelime for the Descendants series remake, I've come to this idea.

How would y'all feel if every story was from their own individual realms, and realm traveled to attend Merlin Academy? Then, like said in Descendants 1, instead of a Honeymoon, Adam (Beast) and Belle establish the United States of Auradon and pull everyone's realms into one realm with the help of Merlin and Fairy Godmother's magic before "rounding up all the villains and the sidekicks (basically all the really interesting people) and booting them to the Isle of the Lost with a Magic Barrier to keep them there."

This is my son, his name is Pan, and oh boy do I have a lot to say about him.

so Pan here comes from the Descendants universe (the Disney movies) because I don’t know why I just watched the tinkerbell movies on a whim (weird experience. Not horrible tho they aren’t bad movies ig) and I suppose my obvious next step was Descendants. I tried watching Zombies too but I could not make it unfortunately.

anyways Pan is, as you’ve likely guessed, sort of the child of Peter Pan. Now you might be thinking, “isn’t Peter Pan like 10 or something?” And the answer is probably idk how old he is BUT.

Pan is not actually his child.

so Pan is actually a sort of manifestation of Neverland itself. The island is, of course, magical, so who’s to say this isn’t possible? Not me! The magic in the Descendants universe is wack anyways so it’s fine. Anyways, Pan is like. Weird. He’s maybe around 16 or 17, but he hasn’t actually gone through puberty bc of the anti-aging magic, so he’s kinda in this weird limbo of sorts.

He doesn’t really understand how he ages, no one does, so he’s super sad about that lol.

Anyways so he just kinda popped up one day as a baby and then the lost boys, especially Peter Pan, sorta took him in and raised him.

This is post-Auradons formation so I imagine they might’ve had to send him over there at a certain point but that’s generally irrelevant actually so

big plot point is that he’s trans. And as we see in the second movie with that one girl not being able to join fencing bc of sexism, Auradon isn’t really all that welcoming towards new things. I sort of imagine the lost boys and Peter don’t really understand but they don’t exactly hate Pan for it either? Idk I don’t like interacting with canon so

Anyways Pan comes out in Auradon, sorta too naïve to realize he’d be ridiculed, but it turns out they don’t like that so he’s like bullied ig?

So anyways he’s confused and scared and hurt and an emotionally immature teenager who can’t even tell if he is a teenager or if he’s a child or some other previously thought to be non existent age group so he like. Runs away to the Isle of the Lost.

and that’s where he is now!!!!! Yay!!!!!

Anyways yeah in all seriousness tho he’s been through quite a lot in terms of confusion and pain and angst and he really is just a scared boy.

uhhh so yeah that’s all enjoy my guy!!!!!

Finally, here’s the last villain kid of my Descendants redesigns, Jay! For his character, I imagined that Jafar implemented rougher parenting than Queen Grimhilde or Cruella, and subjected Jay to living the life of a street rat to toughen him up (I love the live action take on Jafar where he’s a social climber and started off like Aladdin as a street rat and a thief), give him the natural tools to fend for himself, and scrapping with brutes on the daily. I liked the idea that that would be where he naturally gets his athleticism and good instincts in his physicality. Any gold items and trinkets on his person are things he’s swiped from others, and unlike Carlos, because Jafar is exiled from the palace and without his genie magic, Jay hasn’t inherited any fineries for his wardrobe.

Ngl, even if I have doubts and concern about the new Descendants movie being worked on….there’s something oddly comforting about seeing the Auradon Prep banners and the Beast statue (especially since we didn’t see the statue in RoR!)

This is a mix of canon info and headcanons on Auradon Prep I have;

Headcanons:

You know Askauradonprep? Well, there actually is a couple of social media accounts run by someone who goes by that name and goes to Auradon Prep. No one knows who they are. They answer all sorts of questions regarding Auradon Prep, its various students and staff, its urban legends, and on a good day, just random questions.

They stop doing plays about the RECENT past (i.e no more plays about Maleficent and Snow White) and start doing plays on various books, urban legends, and other things instead.

They have a lot more clubs than mentioned in canon and Doug is in a surprising amount of them. No one knows how he has the time.

FG eventually retires/takes short of a break so she can learn more about teenagers/human children in general.

Mr. Deley, after getting thoroughly chewed out by Coach Jenkins and Fairy Godmother when they get word of him threatening to expel Evie over a first time offense, apologizes and educates himself on isle culture.

The History of Woodsmen and Pirates class was inaccurate until ACTUAL pirate children started attending Auradon Prep. There was then a complete overhaul of the class.

They have a good school counselor.

Canon:

The school colors are blue and gold.

Their Mascot appears to be a knight and horse duo. 

There is a statue of Beast outside. 

The school is quite big and the food they serve isn’t typical public school food.

You aren’t really supposed to go into the kitchen (especially after curfew) but most of the staff tend to turn a blind eye as long as too much food isn’t missing and as long as the kitchen is back to the state it was when the kitchen staff left it by the time a student leaves.

Auradon Prep in canon, has an ‘Auradon Prep Spirit Book: Highlights and Memories’ book and has yearbooks and an Insider’s Handbook. As well as ‘The Villains Kids’ Guide’ for the newer vks (none of these seem to be proofread by the staff, btw).

Judging by the class schedule found in ‘Secrets of Auradon Prep: an Insider’s Handbook’, classes are held from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (or 15:00 for non Americans). 

Based on the same schedule, All students have a homeroom as well as 8 total classes, 1 free block, and daily lunch that they alternate between during the week. All cut up to be hourly.

They also have an annual events calendar/roster that everyone seems to have access to. On this calendar/roster, there are activities such as: Auditions for School Play, Unification Day Holiday, Spirit Day, Family Day, School Closed for Fairy Convention, Heroes and Heroines Festival, Annual Knights Ball, Annual Singing Competition, King Beast Honorary Holiday, Archery Finals, Tourney Final, Science Fair, Hip Hop Dance Contest, and Coronation.

Since Lonnie was able to sneak cameras in without anyone noticing and all the kids are all to sneak out without being noticed, security is either very bad, very limited, or non-existent. 

They do the ‘A-F’ Grading system. 

The sports they have are but not limited to: Archery, Tourney, and Swords & Shields/R.O.A.R. They likely have other sports/clubs as well.
