So disgustingly afraid of flying now in the US of A

I cant go see my partner unless I take a 3 day train one way another 3 back and its close to 2 grand in most cases 1 if Im luckey

I dont have any pto until a year from now

Im going to ask for the time off and just eat the costs but it could have been a 9 hr flight instead that cost a little over 200 round trip. I used to fly all the damn time cross country to see family growing up

6 planes and counting have crashed. And the night I started to cave and order tickets the plane from the airline I chose caught flames at my cities airport with passengers on board

The plane I took home from my work trip almost crash landed due to a malfunction in the landing gear last year I still remember how heavy the silence was between all of us passengers as the pilot tried to keep his voice steady but couldnt stop it from cracking while he tried to tell us it was going to be okay

After we turned around and landed with 8 firetrucks and an army of ambulances waiting for us the next THREE planes they brought us failed inspection, 2 of which had just landed full of passengers with major mechanical errors

It was the first time I had ever been on a plane that was dead silent in my entire life no babies cried not a single person coughed and it was tangible no one sounded like they were even breathing while we approached the ground

I fled my city for my safety and not a single person was brave enough to come with me and my heart aches that I cant go home like I used to

They are eliminating our fastest way to travel interstate unless you have the priviledge of a working car they fired all the flight controlers and put a hiring freeze on the new

Im so fucking scared about whats to come yall. We're trapped. They all waited until it was too late thinking they could just leave tomorrow and theyre all trapped now. I told them all we have to get out now I smelled the blood in the water and they didnt believe me and we've been cut off from eachother in the cruelest way possible
