Remember I said I was going to a huge Book Fair last Saturday……. this is my haul!

I had a fabulous time hunting through the tables and boxes, for two and a half hours :) Unfortunately I had to rush through the Non-fiction section but I’m still happy with what I found, two in particular, “Just Like That” by Lily Brett, a new author I’ve just discovered and like and “Kafka on The Shore” by Haruki Murakami. All up I got 15 books for $17.00 and that’s a good buy!

And the Chibi's haul was three more TOS Star Trek books (I love that she's so into collecting these), a Redwall book and a composition book. Together all our stuff came up to less than 14, tax included and the roundup for their job placement program. And now that it's clean and is light enough out for a good pic, here's my thrifted new mid season jacket. It still had the tags on it and there's no pilling, so I'm not even sure it was ever worn (I know there are peeps out there who wear things with tags, but still). Cost 90 cents after the Chibi's discounts since it was red tagged. I don't usually go for lighter colored outerwear but I love the cut, it was brand new, is double breasted and was red tagged so I couldn't pass it up (Chibi found it for me while she was looking for a jacket for herself). Pro tip, if it's marked Dry Clean Only, unless the fabric is super vintage and delicate, I've found you can get away with sticking it in the delicates cycle of the dryer and it should turn out fine. Don't take my word for it since I'm not up for being responsible for damaged garments, but it did work for this coat at least (prolly helped that it was brand new anyway with the manufacture's tags on, but you know )😅 #thrifting #secondhandfinds #bargainhunting #secondhandshoppe #treasures #love
