well at least for you actually, only because you happen to listen to artists that are no longer active and have to buy discontinued cd's through sketchy websites that definitely overcharge. you couldn't judge though, easy money for the seller. your bank account disagrees.

you promise yourself that this will be the last cd you buy - till you're financially stable again. the disc nearly cost you 60 bucks plus taxes and shipping, 80.99. that greedy seller. regardless you were happy especially when you got the notification from the app telling you that your order has arrived.

at your college you had to walk all the way towards the front where the school mailboxes were located. the second you stepped foot outside your dorm, which, thankfully you had all to yourself because for some reason you weren't assigned a roommate, you are hit with the sound of cheering. the soccer team has just returned from a tournament.

My History with Writing (how I gave up on my dream and then un-gave up on my dream)

Writing, for me, began with my older brother. He was (and still is) a very smart student, one of those ‘class-favourites’ but cool enough to not be the teacher’s pet. Practically everything he excelled at, I tended to fail—math, science, sports, making friends, etc. All except for one.

My brother struggled to read, and I was a freaking savant at it.

If you’re the younger sibling, you know how it feels to have even a bit of superiority over your sibling. He might have been good at everything else, but I had this. Reading and writing was, for most of elementary school, the one thing in school I was good at, and the thing I was most often rewarded for.

In fourth grade I got a green star sticker on one of my short stories I wrote for a class assignment. My teacher invited me to read it out in front of the class. Given I wasn’t a “share work at the front of the class” kind of kid… This meant everything to me. I wonder if she knows at all the impact that green sticker had on me. I still have that story, and I still have that sticker, and I still remember that teacher. Shout out to Ms. Kokesh!

This love followed me to middle school. I joined writing clubs and groups and was mentored in writing all throughout my youth and teenage years, and still use what I learned then in my writing now. Writing was also how I met one of my best friends. It’s how we bonded then and it’s how we still bond to this day, over a decade later. But then I started to grow up. I entered that stage where childhood dreams need to become adulthood realities, and not all our dreams are totally realistic. I’m jealous of people who dream of lucrative careers. Like, naturally their passions take them towards dentistry or engineering or something. I really wish I had a passion for boring things (kidding) but unfortunately nothing else clicked for me.

In highschool a teacher asked us what our ‘spark in life’ was to help us figure out our career path. I did not say writing. I said film...

GO BACK TO SCHOOL AS HER

ACADEMICS

Try to recreate your ideal study routine before. Study any subject you want using that specific study routine that you can when school opens. This gives you enough time before school starts to make any adjustments needed.

Get a head start. If you do have access to your curriculum or syllabus, read or actively study content on those topics. If you don’t, you can usually search up your class and your state which shows what you’ll be learning.

Experiment with study methods + note-taking. For study methods, search up different ways to effectively study, and pick at least three that appeal to you. Then pick any topic you want, and use those methods to study that topic. See which one worked the best for you and which wasn’t. 

For note-taking, search for some ways to take notes, and choose at least 3 that appeal to you. Then watch a video/lecture on any topic, and use those methods to take notes on it. See which ones that worked the best for you.

Create a planner or diary. Use it to keep track of your assessments, assignments due dates, events at school or any after-school activities. This planner would be just purely for school-related things. 

I think a digital planner would work best with most students, but some traditional ones are equally as good. It’s up to you to choose how you want to plan your school life, but you need to have at least one planner. 

Find a good study website/app. There are so many academic websites/apps out there that can aid you while studying, which are just at your fingertips. 

I recommend Duolingo, Quizlet and Khan Academy. Of course, there are so many more out there so I encourage you to explore your options. Some websites are just dedicated to one subject. 

Set SMART goals. Set academic goals that are achievable and realistic. Wanting all A’s or 100’s all the time is just way too unrealistic, and the pressure of wanting to reach the standard you set for yourself is just going to stress you out. 

Wanting a certain award, or A’s in certain subjects allows you to allocate your focus properly and is within reach. While you should definitely strive for good grades, avoid getting caught up in the mind trap of trying to achieve ‘perfect’ grades. 

Create a study place and ritual. Before school starts, choose a place anywhere in which you study regularly. Avoid having more than one, because having just one allows you to settle in and focus better. 

If this place is in your house, ensure that the space around it is clean and free of anything that wouldn’t serve you while studying. Plus, you can put up some cute motivational quotes.

A study ritual is habits that you do before studying, that help you while studying. You can create your own of whatever things that help you to be more productive and focused. 

HEALTH

Establish a sleep routine early. A week before school preferably, start waking up at the time you’d have to go to school and sleeping at your desired time. This is so that when school starts, you’re not feeling groggy while getting ready because you’ve already adjusted to the time. 

Talking about sleep, ensure that you practice good sleep hygiene as quality sleep enhances brain performance and improves energy levels throughout the day. 

Plan your meals at school. For us who have canteens or cafes near our schools, we tend to just eat whatever and we forget to nourish our bodies. You still can buy from them, but the night before, try to think about what you can eat for lunch the next day instead of impulsively buying. 

Carrying small containers of fruits or vegetables to go with my canteen lunch is my favourite combination. 

Carry a water bottle. I used to always forget to stay hydrated during school, so instead of drinking from fountains, I now prefer to carry around my water bottle from class to class. 

Wear SPF.

Just having it sitting on my desk while I’m working, reminds me in my mind to drink water. Water also boosts brain performance! 

Create a stress management plan. There are going to be times when you feel stressed, but we want to avoid stress impacting our academic performance and mental health. 

Before school starts, plan what to do if you feel heavily stressed. This could be like a menu of things you can choose from or a step-by-step guide that you follow through. This plan should contain things that relax you, make you happy and distract you from stress. 

Practice good posture. Once school starts, we sit at a desk all day, and most of us forget the proper way to sit while studying/working in class. This can lead to slumping or hunching on a chair, which encourages bad posture. 

Remember throughout the day to practice good posture, if you can, put a little reminder on your device. Posture stretches before the school days also help. 

Try to incorporate exercise into your schedule. Exercise is frequently neglected when we just have so much studying to do and we’re busy with other activities, but exercise is essential to leading a healthy lifestyle. 

The good thing, is you don’t have to do it every day. Doing it 2-3x a week should be enough. Going on walks during lunch/recess, cycling to school or participating in gym are easy ways to incorporate during the school season. 

Keep your bag lightweight. Carry the absolute essentials to school, having such a heavy bag can do a number on your back and also affect your posture. If you do have one, try to keep most things in your locker instead of bringing them to and from school. 

Engage in social media mindfully. There are so many toxic studying accounts out there that encourage unrealistic expectations or offer harsh ‘motivation’ to students. 

Please don’t interact with these types of accounts, even if they provide motivation to you, it is not sustainable at all. 

SELF CARE

Choose your favourite way to take a break. Not just once a week, but always take breaks every day. If you want these breaks to be somewhat productive like reading a productivity book or exercising, then go ahead. 

However, your breaks can also be ‘unproductive’. Play some games, go online shopping or just take a nap. One break is not better than the other, I just encourage you to take any kind of breaks you want daily.  

Plan to engage in hobbies regularly. It is easy to neglect our passions and what brings us happiness when we’re focused on school. If you can, have a chunk of the day just purely for doing hobbies. It can be for 1 hour, 30 minutes or 10. 

Or, join an afterschool club that focuses on that specific passion or hobby. Not only is it time for you to engage in the things you enjoy, you meet like-minded people who also enjoy it. 

Try to plan things with friends and family. Before school, meet up with your friends or family and do things with them. Once school reopens, opportunities to hang out with your loved ones are scarce. So, do it now. 

Create a no-hard productivity day. Plan a day in which you are doing the most minimal amount of productivity that you can. While you can include a few productive things, nothing that is mentally or physically exhausting is allowed on this day. 

If you are way too much of a productive or goal-oriented person to spend one day of no hard productivity, create a catch-up day. Choose one day of the week that you focus on completing or doing anything that you didn’t do all the other days. 

Keep a journal on you. Sometimes things happen during the school year, and it does cause conflicting or upsetting emotions within us. Creating the practice of journaling before school reopens is a good way for us to process our emotions and situations. 

Carry a book you like in your bag or locker. When you finish all of your work in class, or you just want to take a break, you can read a good book. This is also a good alternative to spending your lunches and recesses when you’re not in a sociable mood. 

Create a reward system. For example, if I study for x minutes, I can do x for myself. Or I can x grade, and I’ll get x. These don’t have to be big or extravagant rewards, but something simple like one episode of your favourite show can do. 

MINDSET CHANGES

Practice a growth mindset. You are going to experience failure at least once (if not more) during your school career. You mustn’t take these experiences to heart, and instead, use them as lessons to encourage self-growth within you. 

Practice this mindset now, so that when school reopens, you won’t have a problem with extracting lessons from failures. 

Use comparison as a source of inspiration or motivation. It is easy to compare ourselves with our peers, as we are similar ages, but their skills can exceed ours. Instead of using up all of your energy to be envious of the, channel that energy into bettering yourself. Not to beat them, but to beat yourself. 

View studying as a time to develop your skills. While yes, we do study to get good grades, studying can help us to grow our other skills as well. We build our discipline, focus and critical thinking as well. 

So when you don’t get the best grade from an assessment or assignment, don’t beat yourself up and think all that studying was for nothing. You were building those skills, so next time, you can apply them when you have to study again.

Set firm boundaries with others and yourself. There are times when you just have to say, I have to study. Not just to others, but to yourself. Practice these boundaries before school when it comes to more general productivity. 

There is no rejection, just redirection. Change your mindset that rejection is nonexistent, and there is only redirection. Incorporate it in your daily life like;

‘there’s no more stock left of my favourite product, there’s probably something better out there.’ 

That being said, I’m not saying that if there is a barrier to your goal, you just move on. However, you should not be chasing things that are not meant for you and shift your focus when necessary. 

Detach when needed. Stop attaching your value or worth to things that are external and can easily be gone. This doesn’t have to apply to just grades, but also other situations. 

Try to start reading or researching about detachment before school reopens.  

Time is your most valuable resource, use it to invest wisely. Your teen years are going to be the most suitable time in your life to start investing in yourself. 

You have fewer things to worry about(aside from grades) and you have a lot of opportunities now to explore the things that you want. Please, don't spend this time doomscrolling or any other time-wasting activity.

Hiya! Been re-exploring your Master theories and posts the last couple of days, as I do from time to time, and, even thought there's lots of in-depth stuff on the War Chief and the Man with the Rosette/Magistrate/War King, there's nothing much really about the time between the Academy and War Games. So what do you make of this era? Do you have any headcanons or canonwelds about researcher Magnus vs law enforment Pavo, The Dark Path's Koschei, the inventor incarnation.. Any theories on the order?

Ah, well, the Rosette/Magistrate/King stuff is probably outdated, I'm afraid, though I'm honoured you find worth in rereading it! Nowadays I do most of my canon-welding in the welding channel of the main Doctor Who Discord server, which you're welcome to join, though I really ought to remember to post more here. (Assuming the entire website doesn't go under, but… eh, we've done this doomsday dance before.)

As for the Young Master of it all… You can't weld everything without sacrificing some details, but presently it sits in my mind thusly:

Incarnations #1 through #4 were field researchers on Gallifrey, as per FASA's The Master reference book. My notes have Flashback's ‘Magnus’, who is, as you say, also a researcher, as the fourth of these, mostly because I am a steadfast believer in the Morbius Doctor, and it's silly enough as it is that the Master would only be on his fourth body while the Doctor, being Hartnell, is already on his ninth. FASA claims #1 through #5 all looked exactly alike, but we needn't worry about such things.

Incarnation #5 is, per FASA, forcibly retired from field research in the aftermath of the Morbius Crisis — which only makes sense, since, as @corallapis is fond of pointing out, the Imperator was, after all, the Master's cousin, above and beyond the crackdown on anyone with interventionist leanings that results from the ousting of ol'Morbs. #4 failing to strike it big with the Flashback experiment can't have helped, of course…

He is forced to take up a position as a professor at the Academy, but, as per Birth of a Renegade, decides to repay this vote of no confidence by starting a monarchist student revolution which forms the background to both the Doctor and himself being run off the Homeworld. (Birth illustrates him as looking like Anthony Ainley at the time, which we really don't need to worry about.)

Incarnations #6 and #7 are the ones which FASA hopelessly identifies as two identical versions of the Meddling Monk; but hold. We just established that the Master ran away from Gallifrey at the same time as Hartnell, in disgrace. How could he be a "truant officer" hunting Dr Who for a Renegade by the time of Time & Relative? And anyway, why would the C.I.A. files (as which the FASA sourcebooks usefully present themselves) mistakenly believe the Monk was Masters #6 and #7?

Here, far from contradicting the rest of our material, the two ‘Pavo’ incarnations in The Black Hole come in handy. They're working for Chapter Nine, you'll recall — the Time Lord secret police, distinct from both the C.I.A. and the official Chancellery Guard. I believe that, very shortly after the Master left Gallifrey, he was made an offer he couldn't refuse by Chapter Nine, and became their agent in exchange for continued freedom. On the principle that poachers make the best gamekeepers, they tasked him with hunting down other runaways as per both Time & Relative and The Black Hole, which happily was more or less what he was planning to do anyway, at least as concerns one particular runaway in a blue box.

Anthony Keetch and Janet Dibley's ‘Pavos’, then, are the two lives the Master spends in service to Chapter Nine. Their very existence is top-secret, and therefore, it's not so surprising that a rival intelligence agency would find a gap in the Master's life-cycle, and wrongly assign reports of a disguised Time Meddler in 1066 to the missing Master… Perhaps evidence to that effect was even manufactured by Chapter Nine to help blur their tracks.

Incarnation #8 is the ‘Koschei’ of the late and regretted Dave McIntee's The Dark Path. Although he looks like Delgado, he is very definitely not the same body seen on television. Koschei's status quo at the start of Dark Path tracks pretty well with what we established above — except that it's the C.I.A. he cites as allowing him to travel freely within certain limits (and who are, through Ailla, monitoring him more closely than he suspects). No doubt the counter-intelligence politics which led to the Agency 'stealing' him from Chapter Nine are fascinating. There is precedent, of course: the C.I.A. spent Season 6B making use of an asset whom the Division would certainly regard as rightfully ‘theirs’.

In any case, the Master falls into the Darkheart and loses three lifetimes to it before emerging in a new incarnation who is the first to take on the name of ‘the Master’. Clearly these lives weren't a complete washout, but they may explain why, in Dicks's Save Yourself, the Edward Brayshaw War Chief's immediate predecessor carried a vial of Elixir of Life from Karn on his person as a precaution against regenerative dysfunction; and why, in Dicks's Timewyrm: Exodus, his unplanned regeneration into Delgado aborts midway through and leaves him stuck in a horrid hybrid form until he can restart it. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Incarnation #9, in my head and in my head only, is a little complicated, for reasons too silly to discuss here. But for practical intents and purposes, this is as good a place as any to put the green-eyed ‘Koschei’ seen in Cwej: The Series, entirely out of sequence with the Time War-impacted Homeworld he interacts with there. This is, unfortunately, the only pre-Brayshaw Master for whom I can give you no visual reference at all. Usefully, the Cwej Koschei is noted to have imitated his mythical namesake and torn out parts of his biodata to conceal them in certain objects, which is said to have resulted in his timeline being a little unstable and contradictory.

Incarnation #10 must thus be the 'Inventor' Master played on the Big Finish audio tracks by a certain despicable individual whose name rhymes with "making a lot of fuss", and on the cover of Blood of the Time Lords by a clever Photoshopping of Anthony Ainley's goatee onto an image of George Pravda from The Deadly Assassin which still manages to beat the aforementioned voice actor for human warmth. We know from The Home Guard that this Master comes directly before the War Chief, which handily means that we now where he dies, as per Save Yourself: rotting away in a Trastevarian jail.

Which gets us all the way to Edward Brayshaw (#11), Felix Kriegslieter (#11.5) and Roger Delgado (#12).

Frankly, given how none of these pieces were ever meant to fit together, I'm amazed at how well it all hangs together as an overall life-path, from the idealistic but arrogant researcher and activist, to the hotheaded revolutionary, to the reluctant government asset on an ever-tightening leash, to the drifting amoral renegade, before finally settling as the galactic supervillain we finally meet on television. Canon-welding at its finest, if I do say so myself.

On the subject of your recent post, do you have any ways to come up with interests/dislikes for your characters? Cause usually characters pop up for me with a personality and background for why they’re Like That and I can vaguely find what they’d like and don’t by tossing them into scenarios and seeing how they respond, but I usually have a way harder time extending that into things like what they’d do in their free time

!! Okay this is something where like, I have trouble with this too? Coming up with what they do on the day-to-day.

I think I mostly try not to sweat this stuff until it's relevant (at which point I'll put myself on the spot and really logic it out. I know recently I was digging into different university timetables for Lavender's subject of Horticulture, which I mostly did by checking out forums like thestudentroom & going on uni websites)

But yeah, no I think I'm a similar way. I can come up with a core for a guy, how they act and then throw them at a bunch of interests or scenarios without having to think too hard.

Generally, though, the process of giving them Interests is an iterative one where I claw outwards from the core Joke or Concept-- Like going from that to related concepts, and then flipping those concepts to find opposites or tangents that feel like they bear fruit. Like a fashion-forward character could be into customisation, or thrifting- or go tangential and say they also enjoy fashion dolls, and then from there go into real life fashion doll wikis for inspiration, then like... Maybe they like horses from those going hand in hand, or maybe they have a complete inverse of hating fashion dolls due to [find a specific pet peeve they have]?

(or, just go wikidiving and play a game of 'ok i have to assign this thing i just found to SOMEONE. who does it fit?')

But as for like. What they *do* with that hobby.... So this is a weakness of mine-- Like I tend to just hope that until I get around to them, it's not *obvious* that characters are lacking Internal Activity Timetables. But whenever I do get around to trying to flesh it out I usually just go hard in on research. This usually means checking out personal blogs of people who have those hobbies, or looking into what jobs entails (THIS PART SUCKS TO RESEARCH SO BAD. hate it). (LIKE FR RESEARCHING FOR CHROME'S MUSIC CAREER IS KILLING ME THE RABBIT HOLE KEEPS GOING LET ME OUT)

Reddit is genuinely not the *worst* place for this-- Stuff like hobbydrama will give you a glance into the shape that some people's lives take in really odd ways. Like you can trace back how people must've gotten into that scenario.

But figuring out a character's like job/student status and how much time must be made up of stuff like that can help.

It doesn't help that as an artist my own "what do i do in my free time" is a lot of sitting on the computer and drawing -_-;;; So i'm not the best model for it all.

I do have some characters that intentionally do jackall though so I try to write them to be different to characters who have internal lives that just haven't been fleshed out yet LOL. (Which I did by giving them the like... Handful of 'hobbies' those scary Whole Ass Adults will have to the exclusion of any actual joy. Just implying they let a lot of the day pass them by without doing much.)

But yeah no don't feel like that you're the only one that struggles here. And I fear the main solution here is researching and reading about the lives of real people and just trying to transfer that knowledge. (I'd love some quick fixes if anybody else has them but I feel like theremay not be many LOL)

Since you're a college student, how do you ask for religious accommodations for Jewish holidays? Also when requesting it do you mention that you're Jewish or just that you're converting to Judaism, or something more vague? I'm also a college student converting and took online classes this semester, so I didn't have to worry about it. Next semester however, ohhh boy. I'm super nervous because I'll probably have to miss some heavy stem classes that I definitely wouldn't want to miss otherwise, but I think having to miss the high holidays especially would suck a lot worse. Plus it's pretty nerve wracking to have to tell multiple professors that I'm Jewish/converting with yknow... the heavy antisemitism on a lot of college campuses. I go to a small school and their website says nothing about religious accommodations that I could find so I'd really appreciate your perspective if you've gone through this process!!!

I feel you on that - most of my classes have been online, and if I'm honest... I kind of just didn't show up to my in-person classes for any holiday, which I was able to get away with because they were generally chill. I understand that this isn't necessary feasible for STEM - I'm in the psych department so I feel like I've been able to get away with a lot

I would say, though, that it's best practice to get your request in writing - make sure to email your professors even if you talked to them in person. This will ensure that there's concrete evidence that you did ask for an accommodation. G-d forbid that a professor acts maliciously, but sometimes, people do forget things in good faith.

You don't even have to give a background as to why you need an accommodation. Let's say you want to go to Rosh Hashanah and you want an extension for an assignment. You could leave your message as, "I would like to request an extension on [assignment] due to the holiday of Rosh Hashanah." I myself am a very private person, so I typically don't want to give people a whole spiel about who I am an why, and it's also my belief that you don't need to know the ins and outs of a person's life story to show grace to them and accomodate them to the best of your abilities.

I definitely understand being nervous, and I truly hope that you will have accommodating professors. Your academic life and judaism don't have to conflict, even if it means tweaking a few things.

If you have a shul, I would also talk to them! I've been very open about being a college student and being in conversion classes, and it's been very helpful for my peace of mind to know that my shul already knows my situation. I doubt anyone at shul would begrudge you if g-d forbid you had to miss something because of college, but I know for me, sometimes I'll just feel like they are, anyway (even if that's irrational - humans are irrational creatures).

It comes as no shock to most people reading this that the state of education in this country is more dismal than ever before. As just one example, according to The Nation’s Report Card website, just 30% of American public-school 4th graders are proficient in reading according to government standards as of 2024, which is two points lower than 2022.

As a rookie in the field of education, I have recently experienced these failures first hand. I had begun to substitute teach. Most positions have been aide positions, which have allowed me to observe the modern American classroom up close and personal, and I am sorry to report that the findings are disturbing.

So for the sake of this article, I will walk you through my recent three days. Wednesday, I get to the school, a public middle school in South Jersey for context, and I am placed in a small special education class. My duty is to follow two students around and assist them if necessary. A student calls me over to help him with an assignment, and by help, I mean he expected me to give him all the answers, just like his regular aide did. I said, I can help you, but I will not give you all the answers, so what I want you to do is read the text and work through it the best you can and ask me for help only if you are truly stuck. To my astonishment, he tells me “I can’t read.” The next day, I find out from the teacher I am working with that the majority of children at the school are reading at a second-grade level. This school serves 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.

Thinking about the time back in senior year of high school my mom set me up for coding class, this was during the height of covid btw. The teacher gave us an assignment of "What is your favorite website" and I decided the perfect website to use was Ao3. That's right, I picked the website full of fanfics that go from hand holding fun times, to the raunchiest smut known to men. That's not the end of it either, I had a special ed teacher help me with this assignment as well, recording the session too I think.

So here I am 18 years old, on a zoom meeting with the teacher having her look up Ao3 on her computer, since school chromebooks given to students have certain websites blocked. I'm telling her about how you can search for fanfics you like, as well filter things you do like in or don't like out, bookmarking, and being able to make stories yourself. She decides to go find some fanfics, I can't remember if she went under Harry Potter or not, but I want to thank fanfic writers that day, and at that time for not posting smut. Cause I would have been in deep shit if she ended up coming across a fanfic of two, or more characters just having the best fucking of their lives.

Deku does something smart and aizawa is confused on why the C student just did a small project better then most government spys could do-...in the span of less than 8 hours.

Izuku Midoriya never knew his IQ was so high - years and years of teachers grading him wrong on purpose, switching around his work with others, and constantly making fun of how stupid he apparently was, had made Izuku think he was dumb- well, not DUMB, just below average at best, really. Izuku knew he wasn't really that stupid, he just never really got anything above a C, so he stopped trying - if the teachers would make Izuku Midoriya get bad grades even when he was incredible, their was no point in trying to actually get good grades.

When Deku got into UA that didn't chang. Deku didn't put real effort in, and he kept getting D-'s too C+'s.

One night, one more sleepless night, got too excited, to worried, so he actually tried. The project was something on hero analysis which didn't only made Deku forgetting not to try worse. Deku completely forgot about a grade, he loved everything to do with any kind of analysis after all.

Deku NEVER shared his notebooks, most of 1a didn't even know he had them - years of bulling taught Deku that hiding the notebooks was a good idea.

The project -although not said, but just implied- was supposed to be more like "this new hero can do this and this and this, and maybe their quirk could maybe be used like this but I've only checked two sites and this hero debuted yesterday" that lasted maybe 10 minutes if you did really well, and not "this quirk is exactly works alongside the biological aspects of everything about the quirk that is helpful and dangerous for the user and everything in between, this is exactly how the quirk could be used in the beat ways possible, heres how the hero uses thir quirk and this is their fighting style, here's how they should use it, this is every single weakness the hero and the quirk has, here's 15 different step by steps ways to tie or win in a fight against this hero, here is all of the heros past training and family history, sorry I don't have more info- I only used 82 different websites because I had to check if they were actually true" and so much more. I bet you can guess that everyone but Deku did what was implied by Aizawa.

Aizawa looked at Midoriya for a few minutes after the boy sat back down, how did this kid go from D+ too government spy?

"What the hell, problem child"

The class was silent, even Bakugo. Aizawa look at Midoriya like he was both a genius and a dumbass.

"Explain too me how you went from barley passing every class your in too mini Nezu- that wasn't just better quality then even I could do, that kind of analysis would take months to make for a professional who had been spending their whole life practicing this kinda shit- how long were you working on this- I assigned this too days ago!"

Deku looked incredibly taken aback, this was simple to him, no way that he spent more than 8 hours on this not months.

"Uh, I spent about 7 hours- no, if I started at 11AM and stopped at 3:30AM I would of only done 4 and a half hours of work- I forgot to do it and ended up rushing, I can do it again if you'd like"

Aizawa looked like he would kill the problem child right then and there, of course he only spent 4 and a half hours while most likely sleep deprived on this.

"That still doesn't answer how the hell you went from below average too professional in one class."

Deku looked embarrassed, just wanting the world to swallow him up
