***factually correct version since i didnt check sources v well last time
btw the katy perry/bezos' girlfriend/other irrelevant billionaires (with the exception of amanda nguyen go research her) 10 minute space stunt was not the first all female expedition no matter how much they try to market it as such. the first all female mission was in 1963 with soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, who was working class and had to pass incredibly hard exams to be chosen from 400 potential candidates. just in case we started falling for the propaganda machine again

If one were to count to a million, one number per second, it would take, 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds, that is if you continuously count all 11 and half days without rest.
If one were to count to a billion, one number per second, it would take 31.7 years, if you were to count 24 hours a day. Yet if you were undertaking this you’d need to sleep occasionally. If you were to count 16 hours a day, leaving room to sleep, it would take you roughly 48 years.
There’s a thousand millions in a billion, a million millions in a trillion, a thousand billions in a trillion.
There was a point in time where both Bezzos and musk net worth was nearly a trillion dollars. If they wanted to count just one billion of those dollars by hand it would take them 48 years to accomplish.
Elon musk makes $8 million a day from government subsidies, this is prior to him eliminating any competitors from the inside with doge. The average senior, who busted their butts for 50 years paying into their social security, Medicare, state and federal taxes, makes $65 a day.
The absurdity of it all is staggering. That these men who found their niche in business, bezzos with an online bookstore, right as the internet was taking off, and musk who’s father exploited black South Africans in his jewel mines, gave Elon the capital to invest in PayPal, to which he sold, bought an existing electric car company, used the carbon credits, and federal incentives, to make hundreds of billions of dollars, both pay the bare minimum in taxes, with Tesla paying nothing 3 out of the last 5 years. You and I, people who sometimes have to scrounge change to put gas in the tank, who struggle to pay for housing, groceries, insurance, try to enjoy life, we pay almost 40% of our income to taxes, social security and Medicare/medicaid.
How the f*ck is that acceptable!? Let alone celebrated?! You think these ultra rich know what it’s like to have to make decisions on whether hey can afford lunch or if that needs to go into the gas tank to get to work to pay to live?! WTF?!
Greed, selfishness, arrogance, these are the fuel that feeds the fire that leaves the middle class stuck, struggling and frustrated. But they have convinced so many that it’s the political opposition that is the cause of their inability to get ahead, or immigrants, of people of color, or trans people, gay people, stoking division to continue hoarding wealth like some sick addiction.
There’s not an infinite amount of capital in the U.S. economy. There’s only X amount. If these greedy robber barons stockpile the majority of it, that leaves a minuscule amount for the rest.
24 hours a day counting one number per second, it would take 32 years to count 1/200 of Bezzos and musk’s fortune.
TAX THE RICH!!!!

Of course the mainstream media chose to highlight Katy Perry in particular as being on board the Blue Origin space trip, and now, as a result, two very important astronauts on that flight are being erased and ignored, or framed as superficial rich people with nothing better to do.
Amanda Nguyen:
A civil rights activist and founder of the nonprofit Rise, known for her work on sexual assault survivors’ rights. In 2013, during her senior year at college while studying astrophysics and working with NASA, she was raped at a frat party. She paused her mission to go to space in order to change legislation for sexual assault survivors. She was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and awarded TIME’s Woman of the Year for her advocacy and work in this area. Amanda is now the 1st Vietnamese woman to fly to space.
Aisha Bowe:
A former NASA rocket scientist, Aisha Bowe graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in aerospace engineering and a master's in space systems engineering. Bowe is CEO of STEMBoard, an engineering company that works with governments and other organizations.
She also founded LINGO, a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education technology company. Bowe is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Her work has been recognized with a NASA Engineering Honor Award, a STEM for Her Woman of the Year and a Black Enterprises Luminary Award.

In the most recent news, Lauren Sanchez, Katy Perry and four other women were supposedly sent into space on a Blue Origin rocket (shaped like a pen¡s), which lasted 11-minutes.
During their 11-minute journey, they supposedly reached an altitude of 107km, where they crossed the Karman Line, and officially entered space.
The real question is how can they endure freezing -200*C (-380*F) temperatures at such high altitude, all while wearing just leggings, without any real space gear which NASA says is essential for survival? 🤔

In this house, we cheer Musk
Elon Musk is so skilled he makes it look easy to run SpaceX and a majority of the world's orbital lift, and this leads a lot of people to underestimate him. "He doesn't do shit, he just pays the engineers!" critics say. "I could have done the same if I had a billion dollars!" they imagine.
Well, such critics should pay more attention to Blue Origin, which demonstrates that "just" paying the engineers a billion dollars is not enough.
Blue Origin is a spaceflight company founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos in 2000, two years before SpaceX in 2002. Both spent some time laying groundwork and did their first test launches in 2006, the New Shepard and the Falcon 1 respectively.
SpaceX pushed ahead rapidly and first reached orbit in 2008 with the fourth flight of a Falcon 1. Blue Origin was slower, and first reached orbit in 2025 with the New Glenn. In the intervening time, SpaceX had accomplished several hundred orbital flights and increased its launch pace from "per year" to "per week". (130-something Falcon 9 launches in 2024.)
SpaceX also hit several other milestones like supplying the ISS with the Dragon 1 in 2012, first propulsive (vertical) landing of an orbital rocket stage with Falcon 9 in 2015, taking humans to orbit with the Dragon 2 in 2020. On a more abstract but also more practical note, SpaceX's Booster 1051 went from hopeful "it landed and we might reuse it" plans to definite "cycle it back into service, you know the drill" when it was reused for the tenth time in 2021.
Harder to measure is how much SpaceX decreased the cost of launching people and things to orbit for all their customers, but it's somewhere around an order of magnitude thanks to the combination of mass production and rocket reuse, where previous orbital launches tended to be artisanal one-offs. And it's still dropping.
I will return to that 'majority' point: consider the US and Soviet/Russian space program which are the two big ones, and the Chinese and Indian and Japanese and other government space programs too. Add the private competitors, like Orbital Sciences Corporation which put their Pegasus in orbit in 1990 and went on to relative success with several more orbital missions.
SpaceX first reached orbit in 2008, and by 2024 was outdoing all the above put together. This does not happen by simply throwing money at the problem, the Great Powers have far more money to throw at the problem. This was not replicated by competitors. You can tell nobody even got close, for SpaceX to perform a majority.
Blue Origin? eventually got to orbit this year, planning another launch later this year. Orbital Sciences Corporation that I mentioned above? shut down. Space Services Inc.? technically reached space in the sense of the Karman line (100km up) but not orbit, then shut down. Armadillo Aerospace? never made it.
Wealthy and technically competent people like John Carmack (better known for Id Software, Doom) tried to run private spaceflight companies, lost a lot of money and shut down with little to show for it. Most of them are forgotten quickly. Elon Musk has put SpaceX so far ahead of the real alternatives, people lose sight of those and start comparing him to imaginary alternatives.

Fake Katy Perry V's Real Katie Perry
There are two Katy Perrys, one, a global pop star with millions at her fingertips; the other, a hardworking Australian fashion designer who, long before the bright lights and stadium tours, registered her name and built her brand from the ground up.
In a case that highlights the brutal imbalance between the rich and the self-made, Katy Perry the singer (born Katheryn Hudson) mercilessly bulldozed over Katy Perry the designer. Despite the designer holding a legitimate trademark for the name in Australia since 2008, the pop singer and her team went ahead and sold clothing under the same name during her tours, knowingly infringing. And when challenged in court, the singer's team not only fought tooth and nail to overpower the designer, but also dragged her through years of emotional and financial turmoil. The court sided with the designer, but by then, the damage had been done.
This wasn’t just a case about clothes. This was about power. The kind of power that money buys. It’s about entitlement, the kind that allows someone famous to say, “I’ll do what I want,” because they can.
Katy Perry the pop star, wrapped in her shiny costumes and sugar-coated persona, recently took a “flight” that wasn’t to space but was pitched like some transcendent cosmic experience. Yet there’s more space in her hollow head than in the upper atmosphere. Instead of giving insight or meaning to the journey, she turned it into another vapid ego-trip, speaking like a yoga influencer trying to sound profound but saying absolutely nothing. The performance was cringe-worthy, more of a spectacle than an awakening, much like her public image: fake, curated, and painfully disconnected from reality.
She speaks of love, unity, and light. But behind her smile, there’s the shadow of something far less pure. The fashion designer Katy Perry suffered not just from legal attacks, but from the spiritual venom of a woman who looks like an angel but moves like a demon.
“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” — 2 Corinthians 11:14
There is something deeply pathetic, even demonic, about the need to destroy another woman’s legacy, her name, her very identity, just because you can. This is not just a cautionary tale; it’s a condemnation of the way fame and fortune can mask cruelty, and how celebrity worship blinds the world to injustice.
This is a story of two Katy Perrys. One built a name. The other bought the right to destroy it. One tells the truth. The other hides behind glitter and camera flashes.
And in the end, the mask always slips.
Princess Katy Perry, you are a pathetic fake handbag. We finally see through you. We see through the fake facade.
And if you want us to believe that you are about love and whatever jiberish you made up after that huge astronomical tour you and the rest of Charlies angels did! Make up for the fuck up you caused to another fellow woman you deceptively decided to destroy.
End of story.

January 16th, 2025 will go down in history as a pretty eventful day in space flight, I think. Beginning with the successful first orbital launch of New Glenn before failing to land the booster, the afternoon showcased SpaceX's second Super Heavy booster catch and the RUD of their first Block 2 upper stage. A day rich with incident.

Well it's definitely been a week hasn't it?
BLUE ORIGIN 'Space' Flight
We had the outrageous show of wealth with the 11 women being launched to the edge of space in what looked like a flying vibrating wand. Apparently this was supposed to 'inspire' women. What women were they going to inspire? Those that could pay through the nose to go on a ride like this?
I have no issue with people spending their wealth in this way if they want, but don't sit here and pretend like it's inspiring to women around the world. Especially at a time when DEI initiatives are being removes and threatening women from STEM positions who have worked their own lives to become experts in their field.
It's tone deaf to act like you've achieved something by going in a rocket piloted from the ground for a little 11 minute joyride (I'm looking at you Gayle King. Also, no I haven't been to space, because I can't afford it!)
JD Vance and the Pope
Do I need to say more? The Pope met JD Vance and then one day later died. It seemed that even he couldn't cope with the idea of continuing with that lot in charge over in America.
Pete Hegseth - The most incompetent man in America?
Rumours have begun that the White House is currently looking for a new Defense Secretary. It's really saying something when you are so incompetent that even Donald Trump is looking to get rid of you.
Oh well, I'm sure he can go back to his life as a journalist and serve the Presidency there. Equally as damaging, but hopefully no longer able to access state secrets.
