wait they have their ribbons and bells?! Oh I must know the backstory!!
And Dad may I wear yours please, I'll be gentle and treasure them?
Sun: *Nods and pulls you into his lap, untying one of his ribbons and moves it towards your own wrists.*
Eclipse: Well, you see our little baby, I was the one who made these ribbons before we got rid of the big bad scary man who was ruling the kingdom before us. It was like a pinky promise between the three of us.
Moon: *Fidgeting with his own ribbons* These helped us get through a very difficult time...
Sun: *Ties the ribbon into a neat bow on your wrists* Done! Ta-da~! It looks so cute on you, sunbite!

Heart behind the lie # 59 : burning city
The team follow the compass and reach a city in the desert!
“So what are we gonna do to get out?” Asked Mei, she looked up at the sealed off slit and narrowed her eyes. One of her hands sneaked on her sword's hilt, ready to unsealth it. The storm's rumble quieted some time ago but the slith was still sealed off by a thick layer of sand. Their only source of light was the wavering flame of a makeshift campfire, the flame's shadows were dancing in the darkness.
Wukong chuckled at her eagerness to cut their way out of here, but he didn't really want to be buried by the rocks her slash would dislocate. Luckily, before he could even intervene, Macaque drew his bow, pulled the string as far as possible, and released an arrow up. The arrow cut the very air and tore the layer of sand covering their heads, creating a new slit. The operation was smooth. So much in fact that very little rocks fell on their heads. Wukong whistled, impressed
“I didn't know you knew your way around a bow.” Chuckled the great sage. He glanced at his moon with a teasing look. He knew Macaque was good with weapons in general, but still his mastery even with weapons he wasn't familiar with never failed to impress him. Macaque tucked the bow on his back, he rolled his eyes at Wukong's teasing but the uplift curl of his lips betrayed his true feelings.
“The target wasn't moving.” Shrugged Macaque, severely downplaying what he just did. Wukong was about to tease him further but he was interrupted by a cough from the dragon girl. The great sage turned towards the teenager and sweatdropped at her smirk.
“All this gayness is sweet but we still need to get out.” Snorted Mei.
Wukong scratched his neck in embarrassment. He whistled and Nimbus immediately heeded his call. They settled on the cloud and safely made it out of the ruins. The sun glared at them the second they made it out, not even willing to grace them with a shred of kindness. Red Son took the lead, compass in hand, and they delved further in the sandmade furnace.
After hours of walking, the golden-furred monkey was beginning to lose hope. Everything around them was nothing but sand, sand and more sand. The sun was slowly wanning, disappearing behind the endless dunes. Soon, the night would fall, freezing all in its wake. His breath was already starting to crystallize in white puffs. Luckily, Sock was by his shoulder to keep him somewhat warm.
“There is a city.” Stated Red Son, Wukong perked up. He approached the Bull's son and peeked from his shoulder and, indeed, a city laid a few lis ahead of them.
It seemed almost too good to be true. For a moment Wukong wondered if they were hallucinating. The city was imposing. It protruded from the sand with pride, rising against the dunes. It was filled with all sorts of lights and clamor, shining like a spark in the dead of winter. On top of the tallest building was hung a scarlet flag proudly disclosing a burning sun. Wukong looked down at the compass clutched in the fiery boy's hands. The needles were undoubtedly pointing at the city.
“Let's just hope that it's not a demons’ den.” Sighed Tang.
“With our luck Tangy, it's probably worse than that.” Snorted Mei, Wukong couldn't even argue with her, they certainly had what could be called rotten luck.
“Legoo!” Cheerfully laughed MK, he easily took the lead and approached the city. Wukong frowned, the smell of ashes was even more pungent, as if the city was basking in it. The great sage shared a look with his warrior, Macaque nodded. They needed to stay cautious.
The city was boiling with excitement. Torches were shining in every corner, encompassing the serpentine streets in a scarlet glow, ribbons of different colors were hung on the balconies, swaying by the night breeze. Stalls of colorful spices were lining up the streets, their smells so strong it eclipsed, if only for a moment, the disturbing scent of ashes. The inhabitants were cladded in clothes, so much that it was impossible to see a shred of their skins. They went and left as they pleased, their scarfs fluttering in their wake. The compass was wavering since they entered, as if hesitating.
“Well, I told you guys the compass would lose precision since we don't know the Jeweler name nor their appearances.” Sighed Red Son, he tucked the compass in, seeing as it was rendered almost useless.
“Time to employ the good old ways.” Hummed Wukong. He looked around in search of something, his eyes brightened at the sight of a tarven. If one wanted information, heavily frequented places like taverns were the best. Wukong opened the door and walked over to the countertop, his teal veil obscured much of his face so he wasn't very nervous. Plus Sock was there for emotional support. Not that he was usually nervous… Alright, maybe crowded spaces freaked him out a little, especially when he had to speak up BUT only a little. The others followed suit behind him.
The barman seemed quite tempered, not very warmongering-like, perfect! “So, huh, have you heard of a Jeweler coming here?” The barman stopped wiping his glass and glanced at Wukong. It was subtle, but for a second the great sage swore he saw a shadow pass on the man's good natured face, but it disappeared so soon he doubted himself.
“I don't think so.”Hummed the barman. Wukong faltered a little, well, he didn't really know how to go after this. Should he just order something? Was it rude to ask for information and leave without buying anything?
“We're going to have two beers.” Chimed Macaque as he put one hand on Wukong's shoulder. The golden-furred monkey calmed down, ah, his savior.
“And one fruit juice!” Hummed Mei.
“Two.” Added MK, he then looked at Red Son and corrected himself “Three.”
“Plus one tea, a green one.” Smiled Sandy.
“Make that three teas.” Sighed Pigsy.
After that, they all settled around a table. They went around to ask about the Jeweler but none of the customers had an answer. For some reason Wukong couldn't shake off the feeling that they hid something, but it's not like he could grab a stranger and shake them till he got a proper answer.
“It's going to take forever.” Groaned Mei as she slurped her juice. Wukong sighed. He took a sip of his beer and lamented. They didn't have that much time. If push came to shove he was willing to employ more radical ways. He groaned in delight. He dreamed of a fresh drink when he was walking under the sun's glare.
“They're suspicious.” Mumbled Macaque, a frown on his face. He was leaning on the table, swaying his glass of beer. Wukong thought he looked good under the city's red lights, the moonlight slipped through the window and kissed his face just right. But it wasn't really the time for dallying was it? Wukong brought his glass to his lips and took a sip. He could flirt later. When the mood was right.
A group of guards entered the tarven, they were cladded in fireproof leather, the city's insignia drawn on their chest. They had silver vambraces on their forearms, carved with battling phoenixes. Scimitars were hanging from their waist, curved like a beast's smile. They seemed quite lively, chattering among themselves without a care in the world. They settled near the team's table, sprawled around like a bunch of napping lions. Wukong lended an ear to their conversation. Often than not, when soldiers were patrolling so freely, it was most likely because the city was faced with some sort of troubles.
“I can't take it anymore, I hope Lady Wan hurries up.” Sighed one of the guards, they lowered the scarf covering their face just enough to take a sip of their glass.
“We could just take the brat, then she'll have no choice but to comply.” Huffed another guard, several nodded at their input, seemingly agreeing.
“The chief promised to not touch the kid.” Chimed one smaller guard, his voice quieter than the other.
“What good are promises when we are out of time? Besides, the kid is one of them.” The last word was spewed as if it was not even worthy to be on their tongue. Wukong didn't know who exactly the guards were referring to, but whoever they were, they offended them greatly.
“Damn puppeteers don't deserve mercy.” All the guards laughed at the curse and raised their mugs. The rest of the conversation lulled with the alcohol and Wukong stopped his eavesdropping. He didn't learn much but still he committed the names to memory, perhaps they would serve later.
The tavern also served as an inn, so they paid for three rooms (with Pigsy's money) and spent the night upstairs. The room was simple yet welcoming. Both beds were dressed in red, separated by a narrow space barely allowing a bed table to squeeze in. An oil lantern was put on the bed table. It wasn't something Wukong was expecting to see but he didn't mind those old fashioned vibes. It was… homely, in its own way. Macaque was sharing the room with him, courtesy of the drawing lots the team did earlier (he heavily suspected it was rigged by the kids, especially since the dragon-girl winked at him before he could even draw his straw).
Wukong put Sock down, she stretched and pawed at his bed, once she was comfortable she settled on the sheets like she owned them. Not that Wukong minded her. In fact, he was too busy looking at his roommate to mind his cat's manners. Macaque was removing his weapons, he aligned them neatly on the wall facing the beds, making sure they wouldn't fall during the night. Then he slowly removed his scarf, letting it fall on his shoulders. Wukong watched how the red cloth fell with rapt attention. It was almost hypnotizing to see parts of black fur being so slowly revealed. Macaque was wearing a long sleeved purple shirt with a V collar, Wukong's gaze immediately zeroed in on the V. He couldn't really help himself. The fur there looked so soft, so tempting. The great sage's fingers twitched. His breath hitched, caught in his throat.
“Are you actually checking me out?” Snorted Macaque. He turned around and cocked one eyebrow up. Wukong choked on his own spit, he was glad he didn't remove his teal veil yet, at least it hid his flushing face.
“What? Me? No.” Nervously laughed the golden-furred monkey. Macaque looked like he didn't believe him but he didn't push the subject further and went to his own bed. The great sage felt utterly stupid. Why was he acting like an inexperienced maiden blushing from one glance of skin? Yes, he didn't have any experience, but he shouldn't be so affected by the slightest glimpse of the other's body, should he?
It was almost scary to feel this unfamiliar heat stirring in his stomach. He didn't know how to handle it. How to act on it. He knew he was attracted to Macaque. It didn't take a genius to figure it out. But he repressed his feelings for so long, now that they emerged, he felt… lost. At first, shy brushes of lips were enough to appease his shriveled heart, but now… Now desires sprouted and he longed for more. And it scared him because he wasn’t familiar with what those desires included. He wasn't familiar with intimacy. In fact, he had been guided far from any thoughts regarding bodies during his pilgrimage. The desire of the flesh wasn't allowed in buddhism. Lust was as unfamiliar for him as a far away star. He knew it existed. He could see it. He could feel it. But he didn't fully understand it.
A small part of his heart even felt guilty to even feel something other than love. To feel lust.
Wukong sighed, he removed his veil and looked up at the room's ceiling. He shouldn't torture himself with those kind of thoughts. The great sage turned towards his moon. Macaque eyes were already closed, curled around his precious scarf. Wukong smiled at the cute sight, he turned off the lamp and gathered Sock in his arms. The lil lady let herself be manhandled. She was quite used to it after all. The golden-furred monkey nosed his cat's russet fur and closed his eyes.
Hoping tomorrow will be better.
It wasn't better.
He was woken up by a violent hubbub. Wukong groaned. He dived deeper in Sock's fur, hoping to escape the thundering noise, in vain. The great sage rubbed the slumberish tears gathering at the corner of his eyes and glanced at the room's window. Macaque was already leaning over the windowsill, all geared up. The noise probably woke him up earlier.
“What's going on?” Asked Wukong, his voice was cavernous, lethargic. He slowly dragged himself out of the bed and peeked from Macaque’s shoulder.
“Don't know. The guards are arguing with a kid.” Hummed Macaque. Wukong narrowed his eyes, everything was still a bit blurry but he managed to recognize the city guards' uniforms. A kid, more specifically a fluffy snow-white lamb, was arguing with them. Wukong was about to awe at the kiddo's appearances, truly because it was adorable-
“Fuck you, you pompous assholes. I don't have time for your bullshit, let me see her!” Shouted the lamb, their voice dripping with venom. Wukong raised an eyebrow… Well, the kid got fire at least?
“Stay here. I'll see what's going on.” Sighed Macaque he leaped out of the window and approached the commotion. Wukong would have been impressed if he wasn't still in the clutch of drowsiness. The great sage intently observed his moon. Macaque engaged with the guards, but before he could truly do anything one of them lifted his hand, ready to strike the kid they were arguing with. The sight was like a bucket of cold water. It instantly woke him up. Luckily, his moon intervened and pushed the guards away with a swing of his spear. A ripple of shadow magic oozed from the blade.
The guards’ eyes widened, they glared at the spear, their expressions darkening with fury. Wukong was only able to hear fragments of what they said, (they weren't loud enough to be clearly heard) something about “puppeteers” and a “cursed clan”. But before the great sage could leap off the balcony and intervene the kid tugged at Macaque's sleeve and dragged him into a shadow portal. Disappearing with him in a flurry of darkness.
Wukong sweatdropped.
Fuck.

The Beginning of an Enchanting Evening
My introductory post to @/lyranova's Halloween Ball event at @blackclover-emc!
My post/ocs are open for interaction!
Summary: A select group of House Faust's members make their way to the Halloween masquerade. Pairing(s): Josele x Nacht, Josele x Morgen Josele's dress | Nacht's suit | Morgen's suit Dawn's dress | Dusk's suit | Albert's suit | Varg's suit | Valerian's suit | Vivian's dress Word count: 647
..........
“Are you sure you all will be fine at home?”
Josele stood at the threshold of House Faust’s front entrance. She wore a floor-length ball gown with a cobalt blue bodice and a skirt that started the same hue and faded to a baby blue. A large bow at the waist and fabric flowers decorated the gown, and glitter made Josele shine like a star.
Despite being ready to attend that evening’s event, Josele hesitated to leave her home and her children who wouldn’t be in attendance.
Standing in the doorframe was Josele’s eldest daughter, Sterling. The redhead giggled and held her mother’s shoulders.
“Don’t worry about us, Mother,” Sterling answered. “Us kids drew lots so it’s not like we can be bitter about not going.”
“You’re sure?” Josele pressed, her brows furrowed.
“Very sure.” Sterling leaned back and shouted into the house. “Now don’t keep Father, Uncle, and the others waiting, Mother!” She turned Josele around and pushed her towards the cluster of family waiting for the lady of the house.
“Right then! Okay!” Josele yelped as awkwardly stumbled forward from her daughter’s push. She glanced over her shoulder and smiled. “Take care of each other while we’re away.”
“Like we’d do anything else,” answered Sterling with a lazy wave of her hand.
With that, Sterling closed the door to House Faust and Josele went to where the rest of her family was waiting in the shade of trees. Nacht and Morgen greeted her with their usual loving smiles, plus a kiss on the hand from Nacht and a peck on the cheek from Morgen. Dawn excitedly bounced on the balls of her feet. Dusk fidgeted with the coat of his suit but there was still a small, eager grin on his face. Albert and Varg were whispering to each other, something about who will woo their beloved better. Valerian popped his knuckles, as if he was preparing for a fight and not a party. And Vivian stared at her mother, quiet and unreadable in her expression.
“Sorry for the hold up, everyone.”
“It’s perfectly alright, dear,” Morgen assured her. “Besides, we’re guaranteed to make it on time. Right?” He looked to Nacht, Dusk, and Varg.
Nacht sighed, “You’re lucky I like you, otherwise I’d be mad at you for treating me like Finral.”
“Sorry, sorry.” Morgen patted Nacht on the shoulder. “Thank you, the three of you, for helping us travel to the ball.”
“Now what are we waiting for?” Dawn exclaimed, throwing her arms into the air. She threw an arm around Dusk’s shoulders. “Let’s get going!”
With Nacht and Dusk’s Shadow Magic and Varg’s Eclipse Magic, the members of House Faust sank into the shadows before rising from them in front of Clover’s grand. Valerian and Varg quickly dashed away to be the first to enter. Dawn yelled “C’mon!” while she grabbed Dusk and Albert’s wrists to drag them along. And Vivian turned to her parents and uncle.
“It appears that us youths shall be taking the lead.”
“Not that you need us to guide you in,” Josele answered. She took a moment to adjust the ribbon in Vivian’s hair before letting her go. “We’ll see you all inside.”
“Have fun, Vivi,” Nacht said.
Vivian nodded then walked towards the palace entrance.
The three seniors of House Faust took a moment to themselves to make any final touch ups to their outfits. Nacht straightened the cuffs of his dress shirt and adjusted his cravat. Morgen shook down the cloak he wore with his suit. And Josele smoothed out the large ribbon that draped down the side of her gown. Both men offered their arm to the woman they loved, to which Josele decided to take Nacht’s arm. However, she did take a second to give Morgen a kiss and whisper, “You get my first dance though, okay?”
And thus began an enchanted evening.

so a while ago i had planned to rewrite my fic everything i loved and feared for stylistic purposes, but ended up deciding to leave it as is and never went through with that beyond the first scene. Since i dont plan on doing anything else with this, here is the scene i did rewrite!! Hope you guys like it :]
CWs: graphic violence, graphic injury, suicide, temporary major character death
Love, Scar finds, is the exact shade of blood in the water.
A thin line of it beads from his shoulder down to his wrist, clouding as it sluices past the surface tension of the pond he stands in. Inky ribbons trail from each drop; they ripple outward to form a slinking barrier between him and the honed edge of Grian's sword, coiling thin and wispy around their ankles. Love is what saturates the smears of that diamond blade, the tattered edges of Grian's sweater, the final life pulsing bright and sacred in Scar's chest; love is the heady fog billowing through his veins as he kneels, one bare knee sinking into the silt, and bows his head to the oncoming storm.
But Grian's scarlet eyes, scorching and incensed, eclipse it all.
They pulse with the brazen fire of a solar prominence; the color has molded to his irises, slotting into place with such clean precision that it hemorrhages over Scar's memories, staining the echo-impression of Grian's gaze. Gorgeous is too pale a word to raise against the righteous, trembling fury he vibrates with now. The urge to reach past that diamond line, reel Grian in by the collar, and kiss him until nothing remains of them except one tangled corpse is a siren's song that howls inside Scar's chest.
Here, lying in the fractures of his calculated betrayal, the die is cast, and Scar comes out smiling.
"You can kill me," he says. The syllables tangle in his throat, too disjointed with the rolling, frothing tension boiling inside him. "Grian. You can kill me.”
Above him, an avenging angel falters. Grian's sword, still streaked with the proof of Scar's adoration, lowers by a single fraction. "What? No—"
“For everything you did to me,” Scar continues past him, lungs shivering with the cost of this victory, “to keep me alive this long— you may slay me, and take the enchanter.”
Gold flakes splay across the surface of the pond, scintillating outward as Scar bends at the waist; water brushes his forehead in cool benediction, in cruel, unrelenting curse. This baptism is Scar's holy scourge: Grian will win. It is both the most and least Scar can do for him.
When Grian speaks, his voice is small. “No— no, I can’t. I literally can’t. Scar—”
"Do it," Scar urges into the water. Between scattered refractions his own face peers back at him, a wavering mirror to manic triumph— all the love in the world has led to this crescendoing melody in his gut: the braying war horns, the bark of crashing cymbals, the bellow of ancient pipes. Strung at the seams within this orchestra, he teeters with bated breath on the edge of one final encore.
Instead, all that reigns around them is miserable silence.
A sharp inhale, cracking through the clearing with firework-precision. "I'm not—" Grian starts, and chokes on it, the words stumbling to an abrupt halt in his throat. Scar's neck snaps up; Grian's sword-grip has loosened, fingers lax around the hilt as his free hand flinches to one temple. It hovers there, pale and trembling, his eyes trained on the middle-distance.
A beat. Clarity is a stark, cold glow unspooling in Grian's pupils. “The spectators want a fight,” he says. His voice rings hollow.
Scar gentles his in turn, snaking it around Grian's shoulders with careful, insistent pressure. “It’s okay, G," he breathes. "You can kill me. You can be the winner.”
Grian's expression is a severed nerve, flayed open to the rising sun. Around them, liquid honey dribbles between boughs, landing dizzy and sincere at their feet. They brush the tips of Grian's hair, set fire to the thin, damp strands curling around his ears. Checkmate is the process of capturing your opponent's king with no hope of escape; shadowed in Grian's glowing silhouette, Scar bows, and offers his defeat with both hands self-shackled.
Check, and mate.
Slow— so slow he can track each individual movement— Grian shakes his head. A muscle jumps in his jaw. “Scar, they want blood." New waves bloom out from his shaking stance; adrenaline has retracted its claws, leaving nothing but the thin garrote between passion, violence, and mourning.
Scar is shaking as well. Even in this, they are together.
Grian's lips twist in an abrupt, fragile smile. "Scar," he says, sword once again rising in its clean, prismatic arc. Scar tracks the way light sparkles off it, throwing pale blue echoes against the trunks of nearby trees. "No matter what happens, we can claim this as a double victory. Right?”
The words are a cool balm against fevered skin. Scar sinks into them, eyes drifting shut; even now, through the mounting, cacophonic thrum in his veins, past the shivering gooseflesh of soaked skin, to look Grian in the eyes when he kills him would be blasphemy. "Yeah," he breathes, bracing for the blow, the diamond cut against his carotid. "We're good."
Air whistles with the surge of a starving blade—
— and the sharp, heavy schlck of pierced flesh not his own reverberates through the clearing instead. Grian's choked-off cry ends in an ugly, gurgling yelp; Scar's eyes fly open just in time for Grian's knees to meet the water, scattering a thousand, dazzling droplets in every direction.
Between Grian's hands is the glittering diamond of his own sword, buried inches at an upward angle into the soft meat above his belly. Rivulets of blood bubble from cuts in his palms where they clench halfway up that razor edge; even as dark stains spread to saturate his sweater, Grian's lips peel back in a feral snarl, and he shoves the wobbling blade in deeper.
"You—" Grian's gasps are ragged, hands slipping along the edges as the sword sinks another wet, squelching inch— "win, Scar. You win."
And with the same, ponderous sway of a toppling tower, Grian collapses into the bloody water.
Hazy exultation cleaves itself from Scar's mind in one savage swoop, submerging his entire body in ice. If he screams, the sound fails to breach his ears– one moment he's kneeling, dumb and shell-shocked, and the next he's scrabbling forward on hands and knees through the shallows between them, catching Grian by the arm before his head can plunge below water.
Scar hauls him sideways into his arms. A strangled noise punches out of Grian in response— the high, staticked whine of a wounded animal, shivering through Scar's chest. The blade buried in his gut jars with the motion, carving another, ragged line into the pallid flesh beneath. Fresh copper blooms in a cloud around them, swelling in Scar's nose.
“Grian— Grian, no." Scar's hand stretches of its own volition, hovering over the keen edges of Grian's sword. Halts just shy of ripping it back out— that will only kill him faster. "Wait, wait, wait— no. No, no, no, no, no. Grian.”
This isn't right— the bright, earnest rays of the sun have missed their mark, slipping past Scar's death to gild Grian in stunning, flagrant gold. “What are you doing?” he chokes, heart a helpless stutter in the back of his throat.
Grian was meant to win. Not this.
Never this.
“They never said what kind of blood,” Grian rasps, lips wobbling. Each breath is a bubbling wheeze as he struggles for air. “I can’t— I couldn’t, Scar. I couldn’t kill you.” When he coughs, his stomach convulses; Grian's voice cuts off into a breathless scream before falling back into muted pants. Eyes squeezed shut, Grian grits out: "Sorry."
Scar's fingers catch in the soaked strands of Grian's hair, petting it down with clumsy, panicked motions. “No you’re not,” he whispers. Beneath his chest an abscessed, answering wound unravels, howling in tune to Grian's shallow gasps. “You did that on purpose. Grian, you were supposed to win.”
Every card had been folded for this. Each die weighed in the well of his palm, every trick tugged out from beneath his sleeve; a barren world with no one in it isn't a world Scar can survive, and he'd pieced that together between sheets and shared pulses, windswept sky and sunburnt sand. Maybe it had been selfish… but Scar is selfish— with the last, grasping selfishness of a man devoted, his loyalty a warm, gushing sacrifice caught between grit teeth.
“You weren’t supposed to die,” Scar wails, shifting until his spine bows, forehead brushing Grian's. Stocky fingers spasm under his own; Grian's short breaths puff against the chapped skin of his lips, fanning over his cheeks. “Grian— how could you?”
Beneath him, Grian's lips twist in a wry grin. This close, Scar can make out the faded remnants of freckles marching across his face; counting them had always been a fantasy. Now he'll never have the chance. “Guess I’m just not cut out to be a winner,” Grian murmurs, winces, and drags one bloodied hand up to rest against Scar's jaw.
He doesn't bother saying I love you. Instead, he guides Scar to close the gap between them, fingers fumbling at the nape of Scar's neck. Grian's lips are bitten raw, trembling as he capture Scar's own, and for a moment they are two jagged breaths; the slide of salt on Scar's tongue; copper-stained fingers falling limp–
Scar bolts upright, choking on his own anguished scream.

Phew! Now that's done with! There's actually a few things I scrapped from the original Audino ask. Originally I was going to have Iolanthe offer N that "Elze" (Aka Beelzebub) can tie the bow for her if she couldn't herself, but I wasn't sure how well that'd translate into the ask...
Also originally there were supposed to be five Audino, not three. Why I changed it? Idk actually, just happened. But the two white Audinos are actually based off real albino bunnies, since Audinos are based off bunnies. You'll see a lot of Audinos with typical bunny patterns in the future along with some of the behaviour that bunnies have
Also, the Moon Pool! The moon pool is something I've mentioned once or twice in regards to Lady. It's a pool created by Clefairy and Clefable during an eclipse of the moon, the power of the eclipse is transferred into the pool of water, giving it incredible healing properties. It's what Lady uses to heal her patients quick enough, though in regards to how this'd help her... A wound like her's would require her to actually lay in the pool, which is out of the question. Though consuming a vial of the water would increase the healing process by an insane amount
I love writing Lady, she's fun

aww that wouldve been sweet :( i actually briefly considered having z help n (not like zorks are all that dexterous, but i figured she couldve helped steady ns hands or hold down parts of the ribbon for him) but i wound up kicking her out of the room for the babie. sorry queen

For when Bethy's starts trusting Sun n Moon tho situations would look smth like this
Sun was reading a book, sitting in his chair in the emperor's shared bedroom.
Bethany walked inside, clearly tired and walked over to him.
Sun looked surprised that the child was approaching him (Oh? You're approaching me? BWAHAHA IM SRY ITS JUST WHAT I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT OF ) and quickly set down his book.
"Hi little one, is there something you needed?" He tried to ask oh so gently, hoping to not frighten her. Sun was just so happy she was actually initiating anything to do with him without Eclipse's hand.
The six year old wordlessly climbed atop his lap and laid down, making herself comfortable. She yawned and closed her eyes before relaxing.
Sun felt his heart leap at the adorable sight and it took every last ounce of self control to not immediately coo for fear of disturbing Bethany and frightening her out of this peaceful state.
The sunny emperor grabbed a pillow and a soft throw blanket, careful to keep his movements slow so he wouldn't wake the child. He carefully maneuvered the pillow under her head and tenderly tucked the periwinkle blanket around Bethany.
Bethany snuggled Martha and curled up further on Sun's lap with her head right near Sun's stomach. Sun felt himself nearly melt and he internally leaped joyfully at the near prospect of earning the skittish baby's trust.
Maybe she'd even consider him Daddy soon! Oh and he could finally say that he has two precious daughters! He could nearly imagine it now! Playing in the garden, making flower crowns together, dressing his most precious girls in cute dresses, daddy daughters trips to the market (when they were sure that his sunshine wouldn't attempt to escape after all! Or perhaps he'd just get the leash!) maybe he could find her a stuffie Bethany would like just as much as the one Eclipse got her! He was a bit salty that she clung to Eclipse for so long but it's okay, she was only scared and confused. And so soon after her OLD FATHER'S had abused her after all! So no hard feelings! And she's only six, it wasn't her fault-
Oh! Oh! And they could build pillow forts, and play pretend! And make arts and crafts together!
And OH Sun just couldn't WAIT!
He had to practically bite back a squeak of excitement so as to not wake the sleeping child in his lap and scare her off.
NEVER. AGAIN.
-- MOON VERSION! >:D --
Moon was sitting in the library when he heard a small creak by the door, making him heave out a tired sigh.
"Starlight, for the last. time. No, you may not have an outing outside the palace until we're sure that-" The annoyance lacing the lunar emperor's tone immediately dissipated when he glanced up and realized he wasn't addressing the correct one of his daughters.
A few weeks ago Sun and himself had departed to the market to get some gifts to hopefully make Bethany warm up to them, with Eclipse's recommendations of course.
They'd found quite the haul of things that the two thought Bethany might like but she refused touched any of them and still clung to the things Eclipse had boughten her.
This time however, seemed not the case. There the six year old stood, clad in a dress Moon had bought for her.
The dress was a midnight blue with a white frilly neck collar. It had puffed sleeves with white twinkling stars etched into the fabric and white translucent lace at the edges. The chest area was encircled by white sparkling lace and three buttons. The top one was the shape of an eclipse, the middle a sun and the third a crescent moon. A white shiny ribbon encircled the waist with a neatly tied bow at the back with lace trim, adorned with little stars edging the fabric. The skirt part of the dress held different constellations with white twinkling stars jotted about like intricately placed polka dots on a giraffe with pink cotton candy like clouds scattered about (I ALMOST FORGOR TO ADD THE CLOUDS BUT I REMEMBERED!! I DON'T GIT DEMENTIA YETT YEAHHH!!! >:DD). And finally, lace with glittering stars edged the hem of the skirt completing the dress.
Moon noticed that Bethany was wearing the matching shoes he'd thought could be worn with the outfit. The shoes were cushiony Mary Jane's (comfortable ones since his starlight complained about how uncomfortable they were. HE'S LISTENING AND REATAINING Y'ALL!!! LISTENING AND RETAINING ‼️‼️ WE LOVE A FATHER THAT LISTENS AND REATAINS!!!) matching the color of the dress and a white star buckle.
The child had her fluffy baby pink hair up in a ponytail held by a white bow that matched the one on her dress. Bethany's much like an enclosed cloud (AHEM. HER FAZCO NAMESAKE "CLOUDII" TY FOR COMING TO MY TEDTALK) which was an amusing thought.
Two hair pins with each porting a white glittery star (I would put eclipse's on the pins so he could be like "heheh..my daughter..>:]" BUT IT'D CLASH W THE OUTFIT IM SRYYY 😭😭) on the sides of Bethany's head held back the two fringes of her hair that curled near her cherry blossom and bubble gum pink silicone cheeks.
Moon noted that Eclipse must've gotten to Bethany's hair before he attended to his duties this morning.
Moon immediately softened his body language and gaze so as to not frighten the child further than he must've already with his tone.
"I'm so sorry honey, I thought you were your sister. What can I do for you?" He tried to speak as softly as possible, setting the book he'd been reading on a nearby table. The cool toned emperor clasped his hands in his lap so they'd be perfectly visible so Bethany would (hopefully this time) see he meant no harm.
Moon thought it must've been alright to refer to his precious starlight as Bethany's sister since he'd heard both for himself and by his husbands that their second daughter to be had been referring to his star as such.
The smaller animatronic clasped her hands in front of her, mirroring Moon's own gesture that he hoped was intentional copying (if she was that was SO ADORABLE!). Her powder blue optics flicking from his face to her shiny midnight blue shoes.
"U-Uhm..I-I was just wondering..W-Would it b-be okay..I-If I may ask.." *The pink toned animatronic started to stutter and stumble over her words nervously, a habit he'd noticed she'd picked up from her now elder sister. Which would've been cute if it wasn't concerning that Bethany was stuttering so much. But then again it was understandable considering he and sun were just the same people that abused her, just from a different universe. (He would have to make sure that star didn't teach her anymore habits like sassing them or lying.. or telling her that they were dangerous or trying to escape. He just wanted both of his daughters to behave.)
"Of course sweetie, you may ask anything of me. Anything at all okay?" Moon wanted to approach the six year old and get to her level but he was afraid she'd get frightened and bolt off so he instead opted to speak in even gentler tones
Bethany nodded and took a deep breath.
"c-could you..re-read to me..? Ma-Maybe The one about Ch-Charlie St-Stewarts and h-her pet unicorn..?" The small child gazed hopefully at the emperor in front of her.
Moon blinked in surprise that the little girl right in front of him who had been scared of him and Sun for weeks, refusing to leave his orange toned husband's side and flinching whenever he tried to touch her, mustering up enough bravery to maintain eye contact and request he read to her.
Moon nearly felt himself melt and faint from sheer and utter happiness. Surely such an attempt at bravery should be bestowed an award correct?
The lunar emperor smiled softly in Bethany's direction, "Of course sweetheart.. I'd be happy to read to you. Let me just fetch that book okay?"
After Bethany's nod he slowly stood, so as to not scare her off then turned to the bookshelf. He knew that book as he and Sun had made sure to stock up the library with unicorn books after Eclipse informed them that he'd learned that Bethany loved the magical creatures. (..Bethy and me r one in the same :3c)
He heard soft, cautious footsteps and assumed Bethany was choosing a place to sit which brought a smile to Moon's face. However he felt confusion when Moon hadn't heard the creak of Bethany seating herself but he didn't dwell on it.
Moon turned around to see the smaller pink toned animatronic stood waiting by the table next to Moon's chair with her hands clasped politely in front of her chest.
He smiled at the sight. Such an adorable polite little thing..Moon felt himself melting the longer the small child remained in her presence as Bethany warmed up to him.
"You may sit wherever you like, baby star, I don't mind," Moon spoke softly, smiling her way as he slowly sat down.
Bethany nodded and cautiously climbed atop his lap to sit, her small legs tucked underneath her dress with only a small portion of her midnight blue shoes peeking out.
"I-Is th-this o-okay..?" The just about three foot animatronic asked. Her nervousness was crystal clear apparent with how much her stuttering picked up as if she was terrified that Moon would reject her hit her and shove her off his lap and leave her tumbling to floor with zero care of the harm it'd befall her. Maybe even enjoy seeing it happen.
Those thoughts worried Moon..made him want to tear apart her Sun and Moon TEAR THEM LIMB. FROM. LIMB. MAKE IT AGONIZING AND PUNISH THEM FOR THEIR HORRIBLE TREATMENT OF-
The lunar emperor was snapped out of his thoughts when he noticed he was gripping the chapter book in his hands and Bethany was staring at him in anxious fear.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry! I-I-I didn't m-mean to di-disturb y-y-you! I-I-I-I'll j-j-just g-go-go!" Bethany quickly spluttered out and moved to scramble off Moon's lap.
Moon was quick to place his hand around Bethany's side and gently press her tiny form against his chest. He'd made such progress he couldn't let it go to waste! Not now that she's been so brave climbing atop his lap and asking for a story! It's the perfect bonding opportunity and he could finally snatch the chance to win Bethany over! He won't let this chance slip through his fingers!
"No no, shh..it's okay sweetie..I just.. recalled something rather unpleasant that's happened in the past and it irked me..it's no fault of yours, that I can promise.." Moon spoke, hoping to sooth her fears if just a little.
Bethany gazed worriedly at Moon's crescent features, "A-Are you s-sure..I-I didn't m-mean to b-bother y-you-"
"Shh.." Moon hushed her "You're never a bother to me or your father's baby star..I can wholeheartedly promise you that.."
The small child looked hesitant and doubtful but nodded despite herself. ('nodded despite herself' CORALINE BOOK REF MWHAHAHAHA >:DD)
Moon smiled softly and wrapped his whole arm around Bethany's side, opening up the book in front of them both so she could see as well.
"Wonderful, now let's get started on this book shall we?"
Moon smiled wider when Bethany nodded again and it growed ever wider as the small child nestled on his lap rested her head against his chest.
This was going just wonderfully..now if he could just come up with a plan to fully win Bethany over (and star) he'd have both his little daughter's to peacefully take care of. Just perfect..he could almost imagine it now..but for now Moon would just focus on reading to Bethany with this new chance of earning her trust and proving that he was nothing to be scared of..

October 2nd, Paper Pals
Ever since their discussion a few weeks back, Star had noticed an increase in time spent with Sundrop. Moondrop occasionally spoke to her a tad more than he did before, and Eclipse ignored her, but at least the taller animatronic was no longer glaring at her.
For example, today they were sitting at a table making paper pals. She watched the kids surrounding them first, uncomfortable and unsure as to where to begin. How did one… start? Some kids painted first while others cut out shapes and pasted them together. It didn’t help her determine the first step, so she turned to watch Sundrop. He was busy helping kids and carrying on conversations that she wasn’t too sure that the child was even really paying attention to.
The kid next to her, a little girl who shyly introduced herself as Ram, prodded her arm. “Look, look!” She implored.
Star looked. The paper pal in the twelve year old’s hands looked something similar to Roxanne Wolf, but in wildly different colors and painted patterns.
“Very creative.” Star nodded.
Ram beamed and then peered around Star’s arm to judge her progress. “Why haven’t you started?”
Star stared at the pieces of paper, perfectly unblemished and uncrinkled from lack of use. “I don’t know how.” She admitted.
She had been working on that, much to Sundrop’s delight. He had advised her to let people know when or why she didn’t understand or know something. She used to keep it locked up. Who would it benefit to know that she was broken?
Ram didn’t let her linger on that particular train of thought. She grabbed the paper plates and scissors and held them up to Star. “Start here! You gotta choose your favorite animatronic first– okay?”
Star gingerly accepted the scissors and the paper plate. She glanced at Sun, and found that he was helping a kid make a big bow with the scraps of his brutally abused plate. Perhaps a more creative touch was required here, then. She didn’t think she was very creative. Wasn’t built for it. She peered over at the other kids and what they had done with their own plates. So… this made… the body? And then, a second one for the head?
She nodded slowly, firmly. She could do that. She didn’t think she needed the scissors just yet, no insult to Ram. She arranged the body neatly, and then for a moment was at a loss for how to connect them. Colorful construction paper or far too much tape? Rachel was using rainbow sparkly yarn for the neck, fingers, and limbs. Rachel was quickly distracted by Jon, who needed help in learning how to braid yarn hair. None of them looked quite like the animatronics the kiddos were trying to replicate.
Star tried not to let it overwhelm her. She cut out several blocks of grey construction paper, and followed along as Sundrop folded his own to make a zig-zag shape visible from the side. Arms, legs, and neck were then glued, and as extra precaution Sundrop declared loudly, taped too.
“Accessories now!” Sundrop announced loudly. Only two or three kids were following his example at this point, most of them bored of the craft by now and running around covered in paint and other such craft materials. Star refrained from grumbling when she realized he was mostly doing it for her benefit.
Oh. Her deft fingers paused as she was applying the crescent paper to the plate-head. She was assuming again. Maybe she’d ask to clarify when he was finished helping the kids.
Sleepy blue eyes, a little too bright to her displeasure, were then added. She didn’t know how to make the big floppy hat he often wore, so she left it without. She did put silver circles for bells on the dark grey arms, though. It looked funny, so she added a strip of too bright blue for wrist-ribbon.
She giggled at the sight of the mini Moondrop. He looked bald. On further consideration, all of it looked a little too odd to be a proper Moondrop, but she supposed… she supposed she didn’t care. The children didn’t, certainly.
Sundrop bumped his shoulder against hers. Bright yellow and red cloth mushed against her own striped pants as he invaded her space to look at her craft.
“It’s Moony! Oh, he looks so cute like that!” He cooed.
She scoffed and stood to clear away the mess. Time to clean up, clean up– Darn, she could hear Sundrop’s voice whenever she thought about tidying, now. She used to block him out with ease. What changed?
She glanced at him as she loaded crafts into her arms to bring to the bathroom to wash. He was tidying up the space, but staying behind to keep an eye on the kids. She softened.
Not a whole lot changed, really. Just her understanding of what was happening.
