Brazier Flame and a Rain of Iron Rust
youtube
In the gray of the early morning, it quietly disappeared, my daily life, torn apart, receding into the stillness. Faintly, it vanished into inevitability, ah. Instead of weeping for it, I bask in it. The trigger for this loss of normalcy fired off. The sky was red.
My hearing is frenzied, and the sound of martial law reverberating through a town at capacity comes through loud and clear. We've long since blown past the limit, ah. It marked the end of our service that had worn on into a frivolous sense of pride! We shattered, scattered, and at last, we glimmered.
The lead wind unknown to all mustn't cease. It is the urge that kept on circulating through you, driving you mad.
I realize now. That design that reached out its hand through the silver screen won't stop ringing.
This false proof called "love" repeats until it seems fit to dissolve the vacuum.
The record breaks, then spins once again, as if sharpened to a keen point. I was always crying out for this tragedy that I desired, that I chose.
Yes, never before nor since has everything amounted to words that come forth only to scatter, like reams of overlapping threads.
As if we're possessed, our conflict persists throughout the night.
The voltage is intensifying, a large-scale abnormality for those who took advantage of lost trust. I've got the most perfectly inadequate phrase in mind for them. **** *** In the end, instinct was simple to fathom. The path at then end of the route I'd capitalized on lay empty. That I knew.
Beneath the rain of iron rust, unseen, you are reborn, a brazier on the verge of being extinguished at your back. Who could even attempt to stop you?
I realize now. Once I step outside, this show of tents won't stop ringing. The vacuum shone and colored, the ideal, a love that could never be.
I chase after the parade only for it to continue. Putting my life on the line only serves to make me the fool. A boy was crying out for the comedy that he had wished for despite it all.
I know now. That it won't stop ringing. I had already thrown away the answers I once clung to. The truth is, I was laughing at this tragedy that I desired, that I chose.
This kaleido years, it twists, and once I obtain it, I'll lay it all bare. I've always wanted to convey the miracle that occurred when I met you.
Yes, never before nor since has everything been as such easily-discarded flame as now. Hoist it! Push through the dark!
If this sound will flow only to fall flat, then it is merely akin to a spring dream.
Possessed, we sung throughout another night.

Maegor the Cruel descends upon Oldtown in fury, only to find his heir transformed in a way he deems a betrayal, sparking a storm of wrath that threatens to consume blood, legacy, and city alike.
Tumblr media
The sky tore open as Balerion descended upon Oldtown like the fury of the gods themselves made flesh and flame. The bells of the Starry Sept tolled in warning, their clangor swallowed by the monstrous beat of wings, each shadowed stroke casting half the city in darkness. Below, the citizens scattered like ants, clergy screaming prayers as Maegor dismounted in a rain of soot and scorched stone, his armor gleaming with the sheen of dragonfire.
He did not wait to be received. He stormed the halls of the Hightower like a vengeance long delayed, eyes like molten coin, mouth drawn in a grim line. Servants fled. Septons turned pale and offered benedictions. The King would not be stopped. The King could not be reasoned with.
He found them at last.
In the solar draped in pale silks and sunlight, surrounded by the decadence of Westerosi refinement, there stood the child he had sired — the son he had named heir, forged in ambition and cruelty, raised in his absence by the supposedly faithful hands of Oldtown. But what met Maegor’s eye was not the hardened whelp he remembered. No trace remained of the sullen, dark-eyed boy he had cast into the Reach to be shaped like a sword. In his place stood a vision Maegor could neither comprehend nor tolerate.
Gowned in flowing fabric, adorned with soft ornamentation, the young heir stood poised — not ashamed, not cowed, but defiantly serene. Feminine. Transformed. No chainmail. No sword-belt. No trace of what Maegor had ordained.
His fury was instantaneous.
“You mock me,” he spat, voice jagged like a rusted blade. He took a step forward, gauntleted fist clenched at his side. “You mock the blood of dragons with this… farce. This costume. This… treason of flesh.”
The tapestries trembled with the force of his voice, even the fire in the brazier seemed to recoil.
“This is what the Hightowers have made of you? What the Seven in their septs have done? A silken wraith simpering in a gown? My heir — my son — a painted doll paraded for fools to laugh at behind closed doors?” His voice broke from disdain into something more violent. “My blood, dressed like a whore for the amusement of cravens?”
He stalked closer now, his armor groaning with every wrathful step.
“Have you no pride? No honor? No comprehension of what it means to be born of the dragonlords? I carved my path to the Iron Throne through bone and fire. I split heads from shoulders for daring to question my will. And you—” He looked the figure up and down with something like disgust, “—you stand here in lace and perfume as if the world will kneel to this.”
Maegor’s voice dropped, more dangerous now, quieter — but no less savage. “Do you think Westeros will accept a creature like this as their ruler? Do you think they will not laugh? Not rebel? They already call me monster. What, then, will they call you?”
His lip curled.
“You shame me. You shame your mother’s blood. You shame the memory of Valyria with every simper, every step you take in those embroidered slippers. I named you heir, not harlot. I did not make you this.”
He turned, only slightly — enough to let the threat hang in the air like smoke.
“Perhaps the Hightowers have spoiled you beyond repair. Perhaps you are no longer fit to bear the name I gave you.”
And then, through clenched teeth, low and final:
“But understand this — you will not rule after me. And I will burn Oldtown to its stones before I let a pretender sit my throne.”
