ALL HAIL CASTILE SOAP
you can get SO MUCH Out of a single $15 bottle of castile soap. i have used like a fifth, a sixth of this last bottle and i made two different hand soap refills, body cleaning spray (for if ur too tired to shower), two different foaming body washes (one scented, one not) and dish cleaning spray
its especially nice because you can mix in stuff based on your needs. i put glycerin and jojoba (moisturizing + replenishing the skin barrier, respectively) and scented with peppermint and tea tree for antimicrobial purposes (i get skin fungal infections)
it SOUNDS Like work. but it takes like 30 seconds to mix up and it lasts forever and it's dirt fucking cheap. it also feels like my body reacts to it a little better, probably bc it doesn't have eight million types of microplastics or whatever

#anyways I dislike that Pills That Make You Green hack#the first one was fine but making an artistic identity out of it has just turned into Even Lower Budget South Park#she has nothing to say besides how trans people who disagree with her are Mentally Ill#in the form of various little strawman comics

Eggs are so good. Just an instant +1 to basically any meal. Drop some in canned soup or microwave popcorn or instant ramen or hell even fry one up and put it on a burger, just makes even the cheapest stuff go from food to a *meal*.

Universal Soldier is a great movie. A classic 90s schlocky action movie that’s an obvious robocop/terminator riff completely elevated by the fact that the openly gay director felt no shame about shooting the shit out of Jean Claude Van Damme’s perfect ass
#jay see vee dee#Roland Emerich may be a hack but it’s very meaningful to me that this gay man got to make a mid budget action movie about jacked men getting#sweaty and fighting each other

My unpopular Veilguard opinion is that I didn't think the combat was particularly good. You can imagine my surprise when I picked mage and discovered that I have THREE(!) slots for spells. Only about half the abilities affect your or the enemies' positions, whereas the rest are "hurt one guy" or "hurt many guys." They apply status effects, which is where the rock-paper-scissors detonations comes into play. But selecting party members who can take advantage of detonations is not a gameplay mechanic that adds to my moment-to-moment enjoyment of combats.
I like parrying, but once I assembled a parry build I would walk into combat, never die, and get all my mana back instantly in order to use one of my three (3) abilities. I hit that point around 30 hours, which says to me that this is fine combat for a 30 hour game, but not a 60 hour game.
#veilguard critical#dragon age#compare to any other big-budget hack n slash on the market. compare even to previous dragon age installments#if you DID like veilguard combat let me wholeheartedly recommend God of War 2018#similar but with lots more to do

isn't it fucked how the ability to prototype hardware projects is region-locked
#deerbleats#there are no hackerspaces in my country so I can't get affordable non-industrial 3D printing/CNCing to make my own tools#and bc of ridiculous shipping times/costs just getting the right resistors for a shitty project's LEDs would take weeks of planning/waiting#meanwhile mfs in the global north will next-day-shipping order solder masks made out of custom PCBs and call it a 'budget friendly hack'#like if I were to order literally anything from PCBWay I'd have to pay over 50USD just for shipping#and if I get the wrong parts or if I break something it's fucktons of money in shipping + even more time waiting for shit yet again

Not only is your credit score a mess, so is the back seat of your car. Why are there so many bricks in it?
"Jokes on you, not the first time a car I drove has been smashed to hell, besides, strictly speaking its not even my car."

The best advice I have for low budget fan people is this: switch up your platforms instead of subscribing to a lot. Pick a platform, watch everything you want on there, then pick a new show on a different platform, unsub on the old plat and watch everything on the new, rinse + repeat.
