There's probably discrimination between fresh and saltwater merfolk, maybe between different depths of the sea too
I can imagine there's a rule of
If you blink and see a merfolk swimming towards you looking for a bite, that's a seafolk.
If you blink and you see a mer that wasn't there before, that's a freshwater folk.
If you blink and wake up in heaven, it was a swampfolk

A teeny theoretical sketch I drew on a plane of Juno being scolded(?) by one of his superiors. The phrase in mind was "knowing your place".
That place being several feet underground in a snug little box (I know it's not little hush).

honestly I encourage everyone to get comfortable opening up their electronics. game consoles. computers. phones. keyboards. headphones. whatever. like obviously don't start with the most difficult thing to open up and don't just mindlessly pop open something and lose all the screws and don't do it while its on. but get comfortable looking inside your stuff yourself
its not hard to open up most electronics that don't have an apple logo on them (and even a lot of those are easier than you'd think) and it DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
Companies will try to scare you from learning how to care for your own stuff because they get money that way. Warranty stickers are technically illegal in the US but just isn't enforced, and a company can't actually void your warranty if you repair something yourself, so long as you don't break something else in the process.
like I look at threads all the time where people express fear about just opening up a console and looking at the internals to see which version they have but don't be! its easy, its safe, its free! get comfortable with your electronics and learn how to clean and repair stuff yourself, it isn't scary, companies just want you to think it is!

It's a little rough, but people really liked my Mettaton AU design so I wanted to desperately draw him :')
It's not the best, but I wanted to draw something today.

When you think you’re going to be mostly directing but circumstances demand that you’re on camera battery triage because they are actively bleeding out and dying before you can even plug them into the camera.

my general hostility to renewables is that they're base load power generators like nuclear. but worse at it. they lack reliability like nuclear, which means that you need to have way more peak plants, grid batteries, or the like, to deal with situations where you have high power draw *and* renewable shutdown. i feel like this should be obvious. if you want to go 100% renewable, you need to be working on renewable energy storage and dispatchable generation. whether that's biodiesel turbines or w/e.

A pin is most known for the point on its head. It's horn is very sturdy with cushioning around the base internally. If you encounter a Pin turn sideways while maintaining eye contact. Back away. Try not to face them as they may lunge and spear you. Despite this tendency they are mostly woods dwelling herbivores. A pin has a large territory that it usually shares with only one other Pin. Pins mate for life( barring a point break) and joust regularly to display dominance and bond. A den of a pin is usually filled with items the Pin couple find interesting. A pin may attempt to raid a campsite if a sufficiently shiny or portable thing is left in the open. Take note that you cannot overpower the pin. another note is that if a Pin's horn breaks they become distressed and become too depressed to live. Prosthetic points have been successfully installed in the past leading to an otherwise healthy life. Provided they do not break their horn again.

I approve of all of this
