Transformers Animated vampire bumblebee au comic, inspired by the Halloween episode and a screen shot of bumblebee with his little fangs as a Halloween costume. I saw it and thought... What if that was permanent? What if the Autobots thought he was dead and left him? So well expect this to be done today and more in coming also stories. I'm more a writer than a artist so you'll see plenty of stories. The first short one is going to go on AO3 as soon as the comic is done.

wasp has separation anxiety and jealousy problem so he babytraps his human to ensure no one else has an eye on them, especially that filthy bumblebot (i may be ironic or unironic about this, but who knows)

I love this so much specifically because he's willing his human to get pregnant - trying his hardest to knock them up while they think he's just really into creampies

Once the war starts Wheelie probably makes an alliance with Blackaracnia for help in the war. Promising her that her city will finally be recognized once the war is over, no longer just a place that’s just acknowledged on a technically. Especially since she lost a lot of good will from the deceptions after the incident with the now Dinobots.

Plus he can sway Waspinator easily at least. “Sure dumb Bumblebot (whoever that is) turned you in but everyone knows now that Shockwave was the real spy. He just used how dumb that bumblebot was to an advantage. You can help get some revenge so long as I get the killing blow.”

A first step into the Age Of The Primes: Fugitive Waspinator

Coming to us nearly FIFTEEN YEARS later, after his original toy got canned to due the entire toyline ending, Animated Wasp finally arrives in physical form! With a slight name change, that is. Is something technically accurate if it just hasn’t happened yet…?

A redeco of Legacy United Animated Universe Bumblebee (I do not blame them for dropping the universe designations), Fugitive Waspinator comes at us in two tones of bright and dark green, and a similarly solemn purple. Despite the dark deco, this is a delightfully eye catching color scheme, really sticking out compared to his mold mate Bumblebee. Which, speaking of, Wasp looks… SO much better, gosh. I still stand by my point that the mold is a bit “chubby” and stout, but it still looks great, and especially fabulous in these colors. The two tones of green do a lot to keep things interesting, and the purple is, well, purple. It doesn’t get better than purple. More objectively, it drowns out the inner armatures and other “toy” bits that the clear plastic would otherwise show off. Any technical or color theory aspects aside, I just like how he looks, but especially compared to Bumblebee. Not to mention that head sculpt!

Joints and articulation are obviously the same as Bee but he maybe feels a little tighter in a few spots? The waist is a bit harder to unclip for transformation, for example. Or maybe it’s just that Bee is a year old now and the passage of time comes for us all.

Vehicle mode looks similarly splendid. He loses like, a single point thanks to the bright green of his shoulder assembly since it doesn’t come off as part of the livery like it does on Bee, but that’s such a nothing note. He’s even got a few more paint apps to make up for it. The siren is painted now, and the boosters and stingers get some additional highlights. The boosters have their fins done in silver, and the glowy bits of the stingers are painted a metallic purple instead of being the bare clear purple plastic underneath. They all look much better for it, adding an extra touch of flare that really brings it all to life.

I’m not a huge fan of the blaster assembly as a weapon, but the stingers do look nice as a boost/contrail effect in vehicle mode. They’re not included as part of the package, but shoutout to these 3D printed stinger adapters. They let him use them in literally any pose that isn’t a two handed blast and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’d like to mention the box really quickly, as while it does look nice and I like the new packaging style they’re going with for 2025, I must lament the complete lack of any form of bio on the back. There’s just- there’s nothing. Part of The Thing they’re doing for Age of the Primes is that each character is either a Prime (duh) or a descendant of a Prime, but that second bit isn’t reflected anywhere on the packaging. It’s mostly just something the designers have said. You’d think there would at least be a line of “ONE OF THE THIRTEEN PRIMES” or, for Wasp here, something like “DESCENDANT OF MICRONUS PRIME”, but… no. I’m not asking for full character bios or even more than a sentence, just something they could easily put on each box and have readily translated in all the different languages they print. Each part of the WFC trilogy had a packaging gimmick, and while they weren’t interesting they did have them. This wouldn’t even be a gimmick just basic flare ffs- Sell me on The Thing you’re doing right now. Please.

As a whole, Age of the Primes Fugitive Waspinator is a fantastic time, and a great example of a repaint outdoing the original. If you were interested in Legacy United Bumblebot- bee! Bumblebee, but didn’t want *another* version of the yellow menace, Wasp is a great excuse to get your hands on the mold.

Dart’s injury remained covered almost all of the time—so the cybertronians didn’t know how bad it was. Everyone (outside Magnus and Sentinel) were quickly clued in when a disturbance came to the repair crew base.

“Bumblebot!” An enraged should with underlying buzzing sounded from outside until someone busted through the front door. The green and black striped Insecticon (weird, they exist here?) gunned for the yellow minibot.

Two familiar smaller flying mechs followed in after him, but had to dodge Ratchet’s efforts to capture the intruders in his electro-magnets. Everything devolved into chaos as Wasp, apparently was his name, chased after poor Bumblebee. Bulkhead accidentally blocked the hallway to the others quarters by rushing out. Optimus was still konked out. Prowl and Jazz were scrambling out of a refresher lesson.

Elita-One darted around the stuck broadframe.

Reasonably, someone could see why Dart wasn’t exactly enthused to online again to all of this. That same someone could also see how their slightly sleep-addled processor thought the best solution was to throw the galaxy fabric at Wasp to stop him. Further more, it was a totally necessary risk to rev their engine’s max. The flying wonder-twins falling out of the air on instinct due to the aggravated “elder” noises was an absolutely acceptable outcome to this.

…Okay, the transformed teen didn’t have an excuse for making the younger cybertronians purge their tanks the sight of the gaping hole.

“Uh, guys? I’m still stuck. What happened?”

Coaxing answers out of Wasp more akin to metaphorically pulling dentae out of his mouth. The technorganic held a centuries if multiple millennium long grudge against Bumblebee for getting him incarcerated. Elite-One’s presence as a former technorganic was the only thing keeping him even remotely cooperative.

She “cured herself” so reasonably she could cure him too. Dart gave a nudge over comms to keep up the assumption for the time being.

Jetfire and Jetstorm were much more receptive to chatting even if they both lacked the memory of their situation. “We was not like this before, yes?” The bluer twin questioned as Ratchet to apply a patch to stop Jetfire abilities from suddenly ignoring due to his stress.

The Omnitrix user gave the go ahead for the device to do an overt scan over a passive one—Wasp would like the viability surely. “Evidently, you weren’t. You both have had Seeker CNA grafted onto your frames.” Dart got a long range scan off on Jetfire to be completely sure. “Two different ones apparently. Orange over there has Blitzwing’s, while your ‘donor’ doesn’t come up as a Decepticon. Maybe a neutral?”

Both ignored Wasp’s growl at the Autobot enemy faction being brought up. He had some serious issues, but they were pretty founded.

“Both of you gained larger plating bulk on top of the somewhat half hazard reconditions your frames adopted so you can fly.” If their own injury didn’t mean energy was being diverted till they were healthy, they’d have had the Omnitrix jump in to correct the ‘genetic damage’.

“Why is considered half a hazard, big flyer?” Jetfire questioned—accent coming out rather thickly at the equal confusion between the two.

The currently Seeker let one of their wings twitch to show off the normally hidden flexibility of it. “Seekers have wings.” Then, they laid cross legged to bring a pede-thruster to attention. “Thrusters.” And finally a tap at their currently covered back. “And a back thruster for a reason. Controlled flight.” Dart let that sink in before continuing to explain things. “You two only have thrusters indented in your pedes.”

Both studied their frame for a moment.

“You two are very lucky your original coding took so well to the myriad of sensors and systems built flyers have standard. Probably why someone decided to do this to you to be honest. Or else, you might’ve simply crashed every single time you attempted to fly.” The grafting was too deliberate, the CNA collected too specific, and then there was Wasp’s state.

Although.

“A logical—“

Ah, there was Wasp’s hiss although more vicious sounding at the very word. Dart let a somber smile grace their faceplate at his reaction to that. “Who did this to you?”

“Long—kkazzzzzzt.”

Shockwave was right bastard here, huh?
