Christian Musical Journey part 1: Classics (Y2K and earlier)
Carrying on from the prologue earlier this year, I think it’s about time to get started on this series. Considering that it entails reviewing a load of music while I’m busier than ever with the new home and everything, I figured instead of dumping everything in one post (as I tend to do nowadays) I would approach it in a similar vein to my “Cavalry vs. Asterisk” series from almost a decade ago:…

November 28, 1976 - The Palm Beach Post Capraro's Spring Collection: Short-Shorts Used Throughout
NEW YORK (UPI) - Freshman designer Albert Capraro's days as the favorite of the women in the White House might have been short-lived, but they long enough to make his label a hallmark of Seventh Avenue. Since First Lady Betty Ford first invited hime to the White House two years ago, his romantic designs -- flowing evening gowns, slim skirts and jackets -- have been seen on television and in newspapers almost as often as Mrs. Ford and daughter Susan. Capraro's Spring '77 collection, shown yesterday at a Fashion Press Week presentation, is on its own and there's little doubt that it will be going a long way. Short-shorts under wrap skirts are used throughout his new spring collection including his formal evening wear. For a rainy day there's a poplin rain suit featuring blouse and jacket with big wrap skirt over a vest top, short-short jump suit, Sheer chiffon, full length print skirts with wrap blouses over pleated short-shorts were shown for evening. Street length, off-white burlap silk dresses and feather light, linen with cashmere walking suits and blue stripe seersucker dresses for daytime wear all were cut full and tied or belted to give the waist a very small look.

BEST 5 INDIAN TEXTILE
There are various types of textiles, each with its unique characteristics, uses, and manufacturing processes. Textiles can be classified into two primary categories: natural fibers and synthetic fibers. Here are some common types within each category:
Natural Fibers:
Cotton: Cotton is one of the most widely used natural fibers. It is soft, breathable, and comfortable to wear, making it a popular choice for clothing, bed linens, and towels.
Wool: Wool is derived from the fleece of sheep and other animals like goats (cashmere and mohair) and rabbits (angora). It is known for its warmth and insulating properties, making it suitable for sweaters, scarves, and winter clothing.
Silk: Silk is a luxurious natural fiber produced by silkworms. It has a smooth, shiny texture and is often used for high-end clothing items like silk dresses and ties.
Linen: Linen is made from the fibers of the flax plant. It is known for its breathability and natural cooling properties, making it suitable for summer clothing, bed linens, and tablecloths.
Hemp: Hemp fibers are derived from the hemp plant. They are strong, durable, and eco-friendly, often used in items like bags, ropes, and eco-friendly clothing.
Jute: Jute is a natural fiber commonly used to make burlap sacks and other coarse textiles. It is also used for making rugs and carpets.
Synthetic Fibers:
Polyester: Polyester is a versatile synthetic fiber known for its durability, wrinkle resistance, and quick-drying properties. It is used in various clothing items, including sportswear, and also in home textiles.
Nylon: Nylon is a strong and lightweight synthetic fiber. It is used in hosiery, activewear, swimwear, and various types of accessories like bags and backpacks.
Acrylic: Acrylic fibers mimic the softness and warmth of wool. They are often used in sweaters, blankets, and other cold-weather clothing items.
Spandex: Spandex is a highly elastic synthetic fiber known for its stretchability. It is commonly blended with other fibers to add elasticity to clothing items like leggings and swimsuits.
Rayon: Rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber made from wood pulp. It is known for its softness and breathability, making it suitable for various clothing items, including dresses and blouses.
Polypropylene: Polypropylene fibers are moisture-wicking and are often used in activewear, thermal underwear, and base layers.

hedgehogs & kisses
Brian May x Reader
synopsis: Brian takes you to see some of his favourite animals— hedgehogs!
warnings: this is so sugary sweet that your teeth might fall out :’)
word count: 1.6k
a/n: i could not for the life of me find a gif of brian from 1974, but i love his expressions in this one, so there :)
see the moodboard here!
⭒
Spring, 1974
“Love, it’s time to get up.”
Fingers curled around your upper arm, and despite their lightness, you buried further down into your pillow, retreating.
“But ‘m so comfortable,” you mumbled, refusing to open your eyes.
Faintly, you registered the sound of Brian’s warm chuckle, and the bed sinking beneath him as he sat down.
“Do you remember what I said we’d do today?” he asked, his touch ghosting your neck as he brushed little hairs from your face.
“Something about getting up horribly early,” you said, squeezing your eyes shut to prove your point.
You could hear the smile in his voice.
“Yes, but I’m sure you’ll agree it’s worth it.”
His fingers caressed your cheek lazily, and you sighed, turning over so that you faced him, and shuffling closer, to wrap your arms around his middle.
You felt cashmere and denim beneath your hands, and knew that he was already dressed, but you nuzzled into his side and pulled him closer.
You nearly succeeded in toppling him back into bed, but he laughed,
“No, I’m not falling for that again. Get up, love.”
You groaned and pulled your pillow over your eyes.
Brian pried the pillow gently from your fingers and set it aside. He leaned down to you, his breaths tickling your skin, and began to kiss down your temple and along your jaw. When he pressed a soft kiss to your mouth, you reciprocated, bringing your arms around his neck.
But he pulled away, after nudging your nose with his.
“C’mon, beautiful.”
When you still didn’t move, he sighed.
Then he slid his hands beneath you and swept you into his arms, hoisting you up.
You gave a cry of surprise, finally opening your eyes to attempt to bat him away.
“Put me down, you fool!”
He smiled down at you, his eyes twinkling. “Absolutely not.”
“What, you gonna carry me the whole way to the woods?”
“Ah, so you do remember.”
You grumbled, “I’d have said I was looking forward to it, if it wasn’t for the fact that it’s currently four o’clock in the morning on a Saturday.”
“We can sleep in tomorrow,” said Brian, and set you down gently. “Now get dressed and we can go. It’s quite cold out, though, so I’d recommend layers.”
You folded your arms. “Thought you said you weren’t gonna put me down.”
“Well, if you don’t get dressed, I really will pick you up again and carry you the whole way to the woods.”
“Not if you can’t catch me!” you said, and hurried down the hall.
Brian called after you, “How old are you, again?”
“Younger than you!” you hollered back.
“Yeah, by a few months.”
You paused at the bathroom door, because he hadn’t followed you. “But you’re not old enough to not chase after me,” you said.
There was a silence. Then,
“Certainly not. You want to find out who can run faster?”
“What?”
Footfalls bounded down the hall and you shrieked with laughter as his arms wound around you again, and he lifted you off the ground to whirl you around.
⭒
A good half-hour later, you were dressed in five layers, because the early spring was still cold. Woolen socks warmed your feet in your faux-fur-padded boots, and a scarf stolen from Brian’s extensive collection adorned your neck. Your collar was pulled up to your chin, and you wore trousers lined with fleece.
You shivered all the same. It was still chilly outside, though the snow had finally begun to melt, and sprigs of bright green grass and bulbs in various colours had started to poke through the surface of the forest floor.
Brian’s cheeks and nose were pink, and his curls fluttered about his face as the wind blew through the trees.
It was a bit of a walk to where you were going, but you didn’t mind, because you were always happy to spend more time with Brian.
Except that it was really very cold.
You shivered again.
Brian glanced over at you, smiled, and took your hand.
“Nearly there, love.”
And as the two of you passed a particularly tall pine tree, Brian suddenly pulled you down behind a log, and shushed your askance of what he was doing.
“Look, there.” He raised his hand and, pressing close to you, pointed directly ahead, to a bush beneath which there seemed to be a hole in the ground. Upon closer scrutiny, you realised that the hole was not only a hole, but a den, inhabited by a black-nosed creature with soft hazel eyes— much like Brian’s— and a fine-tufted tail of orange dipped in snowy white.
“A fox,” you murmured, and Brian smiled.
“Foxes,” he corrected, and when you blinked at him, he nodded in the direction of the den again, and there you saw, not one, not two, but three foxes.
Two of the animals were more brown in the colour of their coats, and looked quite a bit smaller. The third fox seemed to be coercing the first two out of the den.
“Kits,” said Brian, in the soft voice he reserved for stargazing and animals, and for you, when his romanticism got the better of him. “They’re getting ready to leave the den for the first time.”
The smaller foxes still had half-closed eyes, and looked sleepy in the twilight, still rather infant-like.
“So early?”
“They’re a little late, actually. Most kits leave the den within three or four weeks after birth. But those ones must be at least six or seven weeks, with their colouring. They’re getting that red tinge to their coats, see.”
He was right; little patches of red had begun to seep into the brown, like blooming flowers, or a fire spreading.
After watching the foxes for a little while longer, Brian took your hand again.
“Come on,” he whispered. “Some owls might still be up and about.”
“Really?” you asked, as he pulled you up to stand.
He nodded. “Still a little dark out, so probably.”
Swinging your clasped hands between you, he winked, and led you up a small hill.
Letting go of your hand, he lifted both of his to his lips, and through some complicated contortion of his long fingers, made a sound that could easily have been mistaken for the hoot of an actual owl.
Then, without warning, a shadow swept over you, and instinctively, you ducked, turning just in time to see the outline of what looked to be a large barn owl.
Brian laughed, “It went straight for me! Must have mistaken my hair for a nice, cosy spot of moss for a nest, eh?”
You grinned back at him. “It was as attracted to your hair as I was.”
Brian rolled his eyes, a smile still on his lips. The two of you had a running joke that his hair was the only thing he had going for him, though, of course, that was completely false. You told him often how much you loved every part of him, body and soul, with kisses, with words, with a short gaze or a lingering touched. You loved him very dearly, you did.
The warmth in your heart seemed to have made you suddenly sleepy, because you yawned, and Brian canted his head at the sight of you.
“Oh dear,” he said, drawing close to smooth a gentle hand over your hair. “One more thing, and then we’ll get you back to bed, my love.”
You nodded, and Brian wrapped his arm around you as the two of you began to walk again.
It was nearly six in the morning, and light was dawning in the pale sky, fluffy clouds painted in pastels as the sun rose beneath them.
“Here we are,” murmured Brian, after a short walk that had taken you back down the hill and slightly north of the fox den you’d seen earlier. “Unfortunately, I’ve seen no sign of badgers, so that’ll have to wait until another time. But…”
He stooped, and pulled from his jacket pocket a small, burlap pouch. He scattered the contents on the ground beside what looked to be a burrow, then replaced the empty pouch in his pocket, and backed away from the spot, beckoning for you to follow him.
This time, your hiding place was behind a bush, and the two of you crouched quietly, the remnants of snow squeaking beneath your shoes as you settled into a comfortable position.
You waited silently for a few minutes, you yawning repeatedly but trying your best to stay awake, whilst Brian watched with rapt attention the spot he’d left the dried insects.
Then, there came a snuffling sort of sound, and a hedgehog with wide dark eyes and little feet scurried forward, examining the food which Brian had left for it.
Upon seeing the little fellow, you let out a gasp, and Brian glanced over at you, his expression pleased, his eyes alight with a peculiar sort of happiness that seemed almost to define his features more— sharpen the brightness of his irises, broaden the curve of his smile, bring more colour into his cheeks, emphasise the little freckle at the lower half of his lip.
You reached out to take his hand, and his fingers intertwined easily with yours, as you watched the first hedgehog be joined by a second, which appeared to be its mate. You were reminded of yours and Brian’s own little family.
When the hedgehogs had departed once more, some indeterminate minutes later, you were truly beginning to fall asleep.
“Oh, love,” Brian murmured, and pulled you into his arms, placing a brief kiss upon your brow. “Let’s go home.”
You nodded and let him lead you back to the house.
But really, while he was around, you’d been home all along.

Thoughts on Herbert West doing his Herbert best? (and by best I mean wearing lingerie maybe >:3c)
Alrighty, so now my FBI agent definitely thinks I’m a degenerate askhdkahsk (Though I’m like 100% sure they knew that already if they had even ¼ of a braincell left lmao).
While this isn’t particularly NSFW, I’m going to put it under a cut both for the length and just in case prose about a man in slinky undergarments is something you’d rather not have to scroll past on this lovely Thursday morning. I’m not sure if this was what you were looking for but under the cut you’ll find some headcanons about Herbert and his clothes, a little scenario about how he came to discover his interest in certain kinds of clothes, what types he likes to wear, and a little bit about why. Enjoy~!
Herbert West and His Adventures with Lingerie
· First and foremost, Herbert is a texture man. This is true in almost all aspects of his life, but especially with both food and clothing. His preferences are rather idiosyncratic and at times appear to contradict themselves. For example: he has no qualms about cracking open a chest cavity and thrusting his hands directly into the fleshy interior of the human body, whether it is currently still living or not. However, he cannot even attempt to eat a banana without gagging at the slimy, squishy consistency. Jell-o also has a similar effect.
· When it comes to his clothes, he cannot abide by itchy or coarse fabrics. Materials like canvas, cheviot, and tweed make his skin crawl. Even carrying a burlap sack or brushing against some dusty old tweed-wearing professor sends a visible shudder of revulsion through him.
· Crushed velvet also repulses him, though this has less to do with the roughness or itch factor than it does with the look of the material. He doesn’t want to touch it just in case it feels as bad as it looks.
· Perhaps the worst of the offending fabrics, however, is wool. Wool distresses him, because unlike tweed or canvas, he cannot tell just by looking at it whether or not it will be soft and lovely or unbearably itchy. When confronted with the prospect of having to wear a woolen sweater, Herbert is not unlike a cornered animal. He eyes the offending garment with trepidation and perhaps a touch of fear, until he can work up the courage to touch it and either decide it’s safe, or to recoil from it as though physically injured and categorically refuse to touch it again.
· For his own comfort, he is very careful about choosing the materials from which his clothes are made. His suit jackets are usually made of cashmere or linen, while his shirts are simple cotton, linen, or broadcloth (though this fabric’s tendency to wrinkle irritates him to no end).
· None of his clothes have sizing tags either. He has become quite proficient with a seam ripper and each of his garments must receive this surgery before he can wear them. His work is too important for wardrobe related distractions to occupy any more of his brain than is absolutely necessary.
· The piece of clothing he struggles with the least is probably his ties. This is both because the most common material for ties is silk, which he finds pleasing, and also because it will not rest directly against his skin.
· It was actually because of his ties that he became aware of his affinity for silk during the early days of his tutelage with Dr. Gruber.
---
· It was late, so late that one could be forgiven for calling it early. Yet Herbert was still awake. He sat, hunched over his desk, puzzling over Dr. Gruber’s notes. Though the world around him slept, his racing thoughts had carried him far away from the land of dreams. He doubted he would ever sleep again. Not when there was such fascinating work to be done, and certainly not when he was the only person alive who could do it.
· When he came to the end of the final page of notes, he slammed the book closed, frustrated that there wasn’t more. There must be more. There must be more.
· It was then that he became aware of something that was clutched tightly in his hand – it was his own tie. The black fabric was wrinkled and distorted from the tightness of his grip, and when he relaxed his fingers, they ached from the strain of being curled too tightly for so long.
· He hadn’t even realized he was holding it. How odd. However, it was quickly pushed from his mind, as more important thoughts began to clamour for his attention. Could it really be possible to re-animate a corpse through the use of chemical compounds? The idea seemed nearly laughable; the stuff of B-movie science fiction. And yet…it intrigued him. Dr. Gruber had clearly made quite the start…and with his own mind on the project as well…why, it might just be possible!
· The pad of Herbert’s thumb rubbed against his fingertips as he thought it through, the rough drag of skin against skin a nearly unnoticeable sensation until it was replaced with the glorious slide of skin on silk.
· The change of texture jolted him in his seat. His hand had taken hold of his tie again. He rolled the fabric between his fingers, relishing in the smooth texture for a moment, before sighing and standing up.
· If he was displaying signs of dyskinesias, he needed to at least try to sleep, as much as it pained him to do so (what a waste of time sleep is!). He would be no help to Dr. Gruber if he wasn’t adequately rested.
· In the following months, he made an accidental habit of rubbing his fingers against the bottom of his tie. Whether he was mulling over the latest breakthrough in Gruber’s lab, or was simply bored nearly to death in a class that had very little to teach him. It was...stimulating.
· Things came to a head on a chilly May morning, when Gruber met Herbert at the door of his lab. “Mr. West, come quickly. We have a subject, and there is much work to be done.”
· Over Gruber’s shoulder, Herbert could see a single black body bag laying on the autopsy table in the centre of the room. His pupils dilated and he slammed the door closed, shrugging out of his jacket as quickly as he could and rushing to the sink to clean his hands.
· Snapping on a pair of gloves, he slid into place beside Dr. Gruber, who was fiddling with a tape recorder.
· When the doctor was sure it was recording, he began to unzip the bag. “Date is 05.02.83. Subject #001. Name: Eva Meier. Age: Twenty-Six. Cause of Death: Sudden Cardiac Death Syndrome. Found dead in her bed two hours ago. Current time…” he glanced briefly at the wall clock, “06:15.”
· The woman inside the bag was small, pale, and likely very beautiful, though Herbert was far more taken, much to his own surprise, with what she wore: a thin white slip made from a luxurious silk. Even under the harsh glow of fluorescent bulbs it was beautiful. He wanted to reach out and run his hands across it, but made a concerted effort to stay still. It would hardly be an appropriate action to take given the circumstances, and besides, it wouldn’t be the same with the gloves on.
· The trial was an utter failure as the subject did not display any signs of re-animation whatsoever. And so, he had thrown himself back into the work, crunching numbers and dithering about what changes could be made to the reagent. Yet, in the days afterward, Herbert could not help but let his mind wander back to the woman’s slip. The way the silk caught the light, the way it clung to the dead woman’s hips. How must that feel? To be completely wrapped in the sensation of rubbing his fingers against a tie…he couldn’t help but shiver at the thought.
· Being an impatient sort, Herbert could only stand this newfound preoccupation for so long before something had to be done. And that was how he found himself skulking sheepishly around the women’s section at the local department store in Zürich.
· It felt…wrong for him to be there, as though he were committing a crime, though rationally, he knew he wasn’t. He pushed up his glasses, glancing nervously around, hyperaware that at any moment he could be outed as a filthy degenerate and ejected from the store. And maybe he should be. What kind of man wanted to dress up in women’s clothing anyway? This was wrong.
· He was about to turn and leave the store, content to bury himself in work until this abnormality was purged from his system entirely, when he heard a woman’s voice pipe up from behind him.
· “Excuse me? Sir? Can I help you with anything?”
· A sales associate. Fuck.
· “I-I was…well, you see, I was just…uh-” He was floundering. He never floundered. He had an answer for everything. Always. So, why now?
· “Looking for something for your girlfriend? Or wife?”
· He stopped and stared at the woman for a moment. She was smiling pleasantly, without a trace of judgement at all. She had no idea why he was really there. A small smile quirked up the corners of his mouth. He could work with this. “Why, yes, actually.”
· “I thought so. I see a lot of men looking lost in this section.”
· “I’m sure you do. Would you mind helping me?”
· “Not at all. What sort of items are you looking for?”
· He paused for a moment, mulling it over. “A new nightgown, I think…something silk.”
· He left the store that day with three silk nightgowns; one white, one mauve, and one a shimmering, emerald green.
---
· His experimentation with clothing did not end with three silk nightgowns. Oh no. His collection grew over time to include all manner of fabulous unmentionables.
· While at first, he thought that tight pieces might suit him well as they could be worn under his clothes, he found this was not at all the case. He found the idea of a full bodysuit altogether unattractive, corsets too restrictive of his movement when properly laced, and collars altogether too visible (not to mention how they chaffed at his pride). No, as discretion was of the utmost importance, this simply would not do.
· Stemming from this, materials such as leather, latex, and PVC were a no-go as well – the squeaking they made when moving was simply too loud. A dead giveaway. Gloves made of these materials may interest him but that’s another tale for another time.
· Basically, Herbert gets the most enjoyment from garments he can wear discreetly beneath his clothes. He works in a highly competitive, highly (toxically) masculine field, and while what he wears under his clothing and in his free time is entirely his own business, he does not need the judgment of others impacting his professional standing thank you very much. And were the secret of his...proclivities to get out, it certainly would.
· As such, bralettes, bras, and on occasion, panties made of silk, satin, or chiffon are his go to items.
· His narrow hips and shoulders make finding workable pieces easy, even if they weren’t made with a body like his in mind.
· Unfortunately, his distaste for lace (itchy, itchy, itchy) can limit his choices when searching for something a little more titillating.
· While he has to worry less about keeping the panties a secret, he is always rather self-conscious about his bras/bralettes – making sure to keep his suit jacket buttoned, especially on the days were he’s feeling bolder and wears a darker bra with a lighter shirt.
· He has a few Babydolls (the type of négligée, West has very little time for actual dolls) for wearing around his room at night when he’s sure he’ll be undisturbed for a few hours. He’d never admit it, but the diaphanous fabric is absolutely entrancing to him. He could spend hours lifting it with his hands and watching it float down almost weightlessly against his bedsheets.
· He also has a thing for garters both with and without stockings. Though he owns several pairs of ‘men’s’ garters, these are more for functional use than personal enjoyment. Besides, it’s the pressure of ‘women’s’ garters resting against his thighs that he enjoys so much.
· As for stockings, he struggles a little, as sexy stockings without lace are a little more difficult to come by, unless you’re looking for full on pantyhose which he certainly was not after the discovery that nylon was a very bad texture™. He does have a few very plain pairs, as well as one pair of fishnet stockings which drive him to distraction.
· Also, not to talk about feet because that is not a kink he has, but he may or may not have a pair of stiletto heels to go with the garters and stockings…not only does he like the way they make his legs look, but it makes him feel tall for once (RIP short king).
· When they aren’t in use, he keeps all of these items neatly folded in a locked box which he keeps tucked in the back of his closet. Though he locks his room to keep the reagent and his notes safe, he keeps the key to this box on him at all times, just in case.
---
· Herbert’s interest in lingerie is complicated. He may see a woman in lingerie and feel attraction, but the attraction is directed more towards the clothing than the woman wearing it.
· He wonders how it must feel against her skin, and likewise what it would feel like against his.
· It’s also not always about sexual gratification either – he genuinely likes the way the clothes feel, and the way they make him feel. There’s a part of him that gets off on knowing a secret no one else in the room does, and on getting away with something society tells him he shouldn’t be doing. It feels good. Powerful. What kind of man likes to wear women’s clothing? Herbert Fucking West does.
· However, there is no denying the sexual gratification it can bring him when he needs it. The feeling of satin sliding against his cock as he ruts desperately against his bed sheets is absolutely divine.

I have a lot of post-TROS opinions (some kind, most are not) which I’ll be releasing by bits after I give them some more thought and figure out how to articulate them lucidly — I drank half of my thermos full of hard booze and sobbed through several scenes, and those were not happy tears, so that alone should tell you what sort of movie this is. But the kindest thing I can say about TROS is that it is a jarring, incredible contrast compared to The Last Jedi. It feels like I’ve traded in a soft cashmere sweater that fits me like a glove for a misshapen burlap sack.

1. Are you staying home from work/school? Yes. I feel awful about it because our patients still need us and we're having to refer them elsewhere if we can't handle things over telemedicine with contactless med pickups, but we only have 8 staff members and all of us are either high-risk or live with someone who is, so Doc decided to keep us at home :(
3. Do you have pets to keep you company? I do! 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a birb. Also lots of wild friends that visit my little yard ^.^
4. Who do you miss the most? I miss my mom, cousin Kerrigan, sister, nephews, and coworkers
5. When was the last time you left your home? Day before yesterday when I took the dogs for a walk in an empty park
6. What was the last thing you bought? Feliway, Cosequin DS, and the Sawbones book
7. Is quarantine driving you insane or are you finally relaxed? Overall I'm doing well (I often joke that I'm practically a hermitess anyway), but I've been dealing with a lot of guilt about being at home rather than still serving my patients and clients like other veterinary workers, worry for my friends and family who can't stay home and for those who are high-risk, and also grief at losing several church friends in Italy. But also I've experienced joy at the friends who were sick and have tested negative, or who were quarantined but never fell ill!
8. Are you a homebody? Yes, but I also love travel, and this is my favorite time of year to go hiking, camping, and take day trips -_-'
9. What movies have you watched recently? Treasure Planet, The Princess and the Frog, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Solo, Moana
10. An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled? The Holy Week liturgies, aaand I was supposed to go on pilgrimage to Brescia, Italy this summer 😢
11. What’s the worst thing that you’ve had to cancel? See above
12. What’s the best thing you’ve had to cancel? The big family parties. I love my family, but preferably one-on-on or in twos or threes at the most and definitely without much alcohol.
13. Do you have any new hobbies? Nope, just old ones I'm doing more of
14. What are you out of? I am blessed not to be lacking anything at the moment
15. What music are you listening to? The usual -- a rather eclectic mix of musicians like Skillet, Rich Mullins, Burlap to Cashmere, Starset, Fernando Ortega, Ike Ndolo, Matt Maher, Wailin' Jennies, Marty Haugan, David Haas, Jars of Clay...
16. What are you reading? Haven't been able to focus much on reading, but the stack of books I'm currently working through is "Infinite Space, Infinite God" edited by Karina and Robert Fabian; "Against the Tide: Angela Merici" by Srs Luciana Mariani OSU and Marie-Bénédicte Rio OSU; "Showings" by Julian of Norwich; "A Biblical Walk Through the Mass" by Edward Sri, "Compassion Fatigue in the Animal-Care Community" by Charles R. Figley, phD and Robert G. Roop, phD; and "Swatow: Ursulines in China" by Sr. Irene Mahoney OSU
17. What are you doing for self-care? Trying to maintain something of my typical daily routine is a big thing, eating at least some healthy foods (seriously am I the only one who, every time I get groceries, is tempted to eat nothing but the junk food until it all runs out?), taking my meds, daily prayer and journaling, and keeping myself busy: still doing some client education and triage via messaging and Facebook, cleaning, gardening, messaging/zoom with friends, praying along with Mass over livestream, taking the dogs for walks, listening to educational podcasts, drawing, writing, watching Netflix, etc. But also listening to my body and resting or napping when I need to.
18. Are you exercising? No more or less than usual lol
19. How’s your toilet paper supply? Fine lol
20. Have you made any changes to your hair during quarantine? Nope, I adopted my current hairstyle because I needed something low-maintenance for mission work, and it's proven fortuitous since all hair salons and barber shops are closed in the state until at least June 😛
Tagging whoever wants to play because I'm also late to the game and can't remember whose done this or not lol
