I hate when I say things like "oh I want an ipod classic but with bluetooth so I can use wireless headphones" and some peanut comes in and replies with "so a smartphone with spotify?" No. I want a 160GB+ rectangular monstrosity where I can download every version of every song I want to it and it does nothing except play music and I don't need a data connection and don't have to pay a subscription to not have ads and don't have popups suggesting terrible AI playlists all over the menus.
Gimme the clicky wheel and song titles like "My Chemical Romance- The Black Parade- Blood (Bonus Track)- secret track- album rip- high quality"

Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.
Wherever you are, Lyra my little summer star, I love you always! Thank you for being the best thing in my life.

Understanding CAPAC Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) Systems
Corrosion is a major challenge for marine structures, pipelines, and industrial equipment exposed to harsh environments. CAPAC Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) Systems offer an advanced and efficient solution to prevent corrosion, ensuring long-term durability and safety of metallic structures.
What is CAPAC Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP)?
CAPAC ICCP systems are specialized corrosion protection solutions that use an external power source to apply a controlled electric current to a metal surface, reducing its tendency to corrode. Unlike sacrificial anode systems, which rely on the natural electrochemical reaction of a more active metal, ICCP systems provide continuous and adjustable protection, making them highly effective for large and complex structures.
How CAPAC ICCP Systems Work
Power Supply – A rectifier unit converts AC power to DC and delivers a controlled electrical current to the anodes.
Anodes – Specially designed anodes are placed in strategic locations to distribute the current efficiently.
Structure Protection – The electric current neutralizes corrosion by making the protected metal the cathode of the electrochemical reaction.
Monitoring & Control – Advanced monitoring systems ensure optimal performance by adjusting the current based on environmental and operational conditions.
Key Benefits of CAPAC ICCP Systems
Long-Term Corrosion Protection – Provides continuous and efficient protection, extending the lifespan of marine structures, pipelines, and storage tanks.
Adjustable & Efficient – Current output can be controlled based on environmental changes, ensuring optimal protection.
Cost-Effective – Reduces maintenance costs and prevents expensive repairs caused by corrosion-related failures.
Environmentally Friendly – Unlike sacrificial anodes, ICCP systems minimize metal waste, making them a sustainable choice.
Applications of CAPAC ICCP Systems
CAPAC ICCP systems are widely used in:
Ships & Offshore Structures – Protecting hulls, rigs, and underwater pipelines from seawater corrosion.
Bridges & Infrastructure – Preventing corrosion of steel reinforcements in concrete structures.
Storage Tanks & Pipelines – Ensuring the longevity of buried and submerged metallic pipelines and tanks.
Why Choose CAPAC ICCP Systems?
With increasing demands for corrosion prevention in critical industries, CAPAC ICCP systems provide a reliable and technologically advanced solution. Their ability to deliver consistent, adaptable, and long-term protection makes them an ideal choice for industries looking to safeguard their assets against corrosion damage.
For businesses looking for the best CAPAC ICCP solutions, choosing an experienced service provider is crucial. Linkmarine specializes in marine automation and corrosion protection systems, ensuring superior performance and long-lasting protection for industrial and marine assets. Trust Linkmarine for expert guidance and high-quality ICCP systems tailored to your needs.

one of the biggest things I can advocate for (in academia, but also just in life) is to build credibility with yourself. It’s easy to fall into the habit of thinking of yourself as someone who does things last minute or who struggles to start tasks. people will tell you that you just need to build different habits, but I know for me at least the idea of ‘habit’ is sort of abstract and dehumanizing. Credibility is more like ‘I’ve done this before, so I know I can do it, and more importantly I trust myself to do it’. you set an assignment goal for the day and you meet it, and then you feel stronger setting one the next day. You establish a relationship with yourself that’s built on confidence and trust. That in turn starts to erode the barrier of insecurity and perfectionism and makes it easier to start and finish tasks. reframing the narrative as a process of building credibility makes it easier to celebrate each step and recognize how strong your relationship with yourself can become

I'm going to say something that will make sense to the Fandom Olds and will probably be slightly controversial to the younger crowds, but I'm going to say it anyways
TPTB becoming increasingly aware of fandom and fanfiction over the past two-ish decades and thus, the spawning of the expectation of your ship going canon has ruined fandom a little bit
I mean, fandom does a great job of ruining itself a lot of the time, but this idea that a ship isn't "real" or "valid" if it isn't canon
or the idea that one ship is superior to the other because one is canon and the other isn't?
it's absolutely bananas
I grew up in an era of fandom where characters didn't even have to be from the same media source to ship them. I mean, do you know how many BtVS/HP crossover fics I read back in the early 2000s???
That shit was never gonna be canon, but we had fun with it, anyways
Like. Yeah, a lot of fanon speculation is bullshit, but it always has been and always will be. You have hundreds and/or thousands of people riffing off each other, the observations and the meta will always be deeper than what TPTB intended, and that's okay! That's what makes it fun!
I just think more people would be a lot happier in their fandom experiences if they realized that fandom is supposed to be an escape instead of a crusade

accused 17th-century English or English colonial witches in a certain subset of modern pseudo-feminist fiction: I'm a girlboss who can read, unlike other women! I live apart from the community and use herbs to basically invent modern medicine! my views align perfectly with many modern progressive talking points! also I wear my hair down because I'm a ~free spirit~
actual accused 17th-century English or English colonial witches: I'm homeless and mentally ill and my community just kind of wants me gone. or I'm Jewish or Romani. or maybe I have property that someone else wants. I could have strong opinions but that's usually not enough to attract witchcraft charges on its own unless the community is REALLY in a mess. I might even be an unpopular MAN who someone has an interpersonal squabble with, although statistically I am more likely to be a woman (unlike in Scandinavia, where the reverse is true)
