What if an au where Buck and Tommy just can't stop getting kids.

A month or two after they get together Tommy's buddy and his wife die. They had two kids, two girls 5 and 3 years old, who adored Tommy like an uncle. Since the buddy and his wife didn't have any family Tommy takes the kids in. He fights for them, because cs doesn't want to give two little children to a firefighter with no partner, family. And that's when Buck suggests to get married and move in so they can take girls and raise them together. It works.

A few months later Buck saves a boy who's 7 years old in a fire, all his family died and he's all alone. So obviously Buck and Tommy take him as the boy already loves Buck and doesn't want to leave his side.

A month later Tommy catches on a street a boy who tries to steal his money, he's 14 and his parents kicked him out after he told them he's gay. They take him too.

Now they have 4 children and not enough room for them in the house so they build their house, a big one. In this au i think Tommy has a lot of money because of his repairs of old cars. Also he didn't spend the army money and opened a deposit a long time ago. 118 fam helps them especially Michael so the house is done fast.

After the house is bult and everyone is moved they really can't stop getting more and more children. They want to help every child they see in trouble. They foster kids.

Every a-shift in 118 now starts with Chim's jokes about if he has a new nibling.

ANONNNN BIG FAMILY BUCKTOMMY IS MY WEAKNESS AND I LOVE EVERY LINE OF THIS

I honestly love this. It's basically their version of a shotgun wedding when the girls (Lily and Charlotte) show up, because it just feels right for them to take them in, to raise them. And they are good at it. They're so good at it because they care, and they want them to feel loved.

And then Buck saves young Nick from the fire, and he's all alone in the world, and when Hen checks on him he won't let go of Buck's hand, and he cries when Buck tries to leave him at the hospital.

Then the next one is Elliott, the homeless boy who's so defensive, so afraid of the world, and Tommy sees so much of himself in him. And when he thinks how much he'd want someone to show him warmth at 14, and he's bringing Elliott home too.

(it's so beautiful, to see him warming up to the younger kids. Charlotte, the 3 year old who's almost 4 at this point, takes a particular shine to him, and Eli's walls start to crumble)

And yeah, at this point Tommy's savings come into play, and they start planning for a new house. That's when the decision to foster comes, and sure, some of their fosters go for reunification, but not all.

Aghhh I love this, anon. I am pretty sure at some point, one of them would have to cut back or stop working entirely. My money would be on Tommy; the job means less to him than it does to Buck, and it's easier for him to go from firefighter pilot to private flight instructor.

Tl;dr: give me big family Buck and Tommy who just keep welcoming children and giving them all the love they didn't have growing up
