As they walked Taash kept a good foot, more if they could, between them and the graves at all times. They weren't like their Tama, they weren't scared of the dead like her. Taash was just healthily creeped out by corpses. Looking at the rocks, the memorials, was nothing. Yeah they didn't feel like they were meant to be here but the monuments to celebrate the dead didn't turn their stomach or give rise to goosebumps. The wandering spirits did, and the skeletons doing work. The looming presence of the Grand Necropolis and the knowledge that death was everywhere kept them antsy and uneasy. Not even the peacefulness of the garden helped. Taash couldn't relax and they could have sworn they kept hearing whispering some where. They really really needed to work on saying no to things and saying no to pretty people.

Taash had been largely silent when they entered the garden. Graves didn't need nor want words and, despite their ick, Taash knew to be respectful. Even if this ground hadn't been alive they'd still had walked with every care. It was ground dedicated to people who were once loved, once cared for, and was marked as such. Trampling on someones monument to their loved ones was more than disrespectful, it was horrible, and even if Taash didn't like that said person was probably still lurking somewhere they weren't going to be cruel.

Passing through the gate Taash was still on edge, half expecting to see a ghost or something. When a tight pathway gave to a much more normal looking garden instead of ease Taash couldn't help a sense of foreboding starting to drape over them. It felt like it was waiting in a sense. Their friend really wouldn't take them on this whole outing just to show them her future resting spot would they? Or where she may be intended to bury one of them should they die. Neat but also felt like a threat. Taash flinched at the wisps, hands clenching momentarily. Their snarl fell as Gwen spoke. This wasn't a grave waiting, it was a womb. She may not had been born here but it had birthed her into the world in a way. Being found in a bed of flowers suited her, or so Taash thought, especially compared to the more dank corners of the necropolis. They didn't even notice the lingering wisps, little bits of green light flickers and clustering, as they looked attentively at her. Loyalty was a thing. A spirit plucking her up like one of the flowers she held now, keeping you from becoming dirt to nourish them, was...something. It sat in Taash's head weird. If it'd been a watcher they'd been able to get it easier. Spirits did things in their nature. Compassion would save a kid, that's what it did or was inclined to do. But they still felt weird, jumbled, they didn't want to dwell on it.

"I'm not scared of you-it I mean." Their face scrunched. The magic wasn't scary, the dead weren't either. It was just...gross. Being so cozy with things that should be sleeping. Should be taking the big nap and left the fuck alone. Touching the dead bodies and decomposing them. Having them do things and wiggle about when they should just be sleeping. It was gross! Spirit work wasn't gross! You talked, let them be guests if they wanted, and then they were off. You walked with them you didn't touch their giblets and have them dust stuff once the giblets were gone.

Taash looked away from Gwen. Crossing their arms their gaze fixed on a flower on the ground. "Spirits are fine, you feel like you owe them so i get it. But just- the dead aren't fine. They should be in the ground, left to be, not waving around brooms and organizing books or what ever." Their voice wasn't full of hate but there was a trickle of sour in there. Disgust maybe, unease certainly. "The dead used to be people and all the used to be people freak me out! They should still be people not corpses doing things!"

That was only scratching the surface but they couldn't word it deeper. It wasn't that Taash couldn't see them as different, they could. They could see the skeletons, the wisps, the spirits. It was that that caused them such unease, such discomfort. They could see what had become of a people, a person, that was now gone. They could still see that a person should be there. The person should be walking around and talking and laughing and loving, but instead it was just their skeleton or their ghost. Seeing the necropolis, hearing the spirits, everything just felt wrong. It reminded them that people were gone. One day their friends would be gone, their Tama, their everything would be gone even them. Seeing all the death just pressed that little splinter deeper into them. They didn't want to see the corpses and skeleton, they wanted to see the person. They wanted the person to rest as a memory and be allowed to rest. Return to the earth and flow a new into something else. Do all their breaking down unseen, still be the person they were not the corpse they became. What unsettled Taash about all the undeath was the fact it was a reminder that something was gone, someone was gone. Yeah they did actually find decaying flesh and dead stuff generally gross and touching said stuff was too gross, but the main issue wasn't that.

Just like Emmrich Taash feared death, just differently, and they handled it just as poorly if not worse than him. Instead of sadness it filled them with unease and anger. A denial that was confronted by each skeleton walking around and the souls that whispered as they passed. A denial that only made them more angry and upset. A denial they wanted to avoid that they simply could not when surrounded by death like they were now.

TAGGING SYSTEM

I created this section in Google Docs for every single one of my muses. Below is a link to the symbols I used.

ARC VS VERSE : every single character gets both an arc and a verse that is undecided. Since you can search by both ARC and VERSE, I felt this would make the most sense. A verse is the overreaching section, so for example, SUPERNATURAL is a show, so it gets its own verse. Now for an ARC, I would be putting different sections in for, say, I want Hope to have a soulless arc, then that would be where that would go. Or say I want Hope to have an arc that she has her humanity off, it would fall under the arc section. It's not a big enough theme for me to make it a whole verse.

I can use the tag of no humanity in an arc repeatedly. Combined with, say, searching my Queen of Nola verse and the arc of no humanity, it should give you all of the information written about her no humanity time in said verse. Above picture shows you how I format my verse posts.

CHARACTER ID: This is an overreaching tag that covers pretty much anything written by me for that character, so answered asks, interactions, headcanons, drabbles, etc. all fall in line with this. You could also add it to your visage and musing tags, but I personally don't find that helpful.

This is an example of my tags underneath a reply of mine. More will be explained soon about what everything else means.

This is what I used to tag all the different types of calls I make. So someone can click on, say my meme call, and get to like a call for them to be sent memes.

Any reblogged content went here minus the ask memes, but you could very well put ask memes there as well.

This section is anything related to my set up. Now, I have two different blogs (more to come on why I do that later). This kind of shows you how I break things up.

The extra section is really anything that I couldn't figure out where it might go. So promos, scheduled posts, dash games, etc.

This one feels very self-explanatory. Anything that I personally want saved goes here

This section is anything created by me or something I agree with strongly. Graphics are different than my adventures in ps. The first for me is like character edits, while the second one is maybe asking for opinions or showing people what I am excited for.

I'm not a huge talker in the tags person. However, I do find a few things helpful to point out like when something might be triggering, if one should look at a link I put in my replies, making sure that people know to send the whole prompt not just the symbol (in case it takes me a moment to get it done and I need to know what the instructions for the meme was to prevent deleting a meme because all I see is a symbol or word and therefore have no idea which meme it is attached to. Sending the whole sentence is helpful and doesn't require a two-step process like asking for the meme and the link simultaneously. It is also beneficial to tell people to tell me what muse things are for as well, so that way I am not playing a guessing game.

The potentially triggering topic for me is an overall tag for triggers. I do also break it down into say " clowns tw " as well just for blacklisting purposes. However, the blanket tag covers so that say I forget someone is triggered by something and I forgot to tag it, there is a possibility that this might save it a little bit.

This section of tagging is where I get an overview of things. So, say you aren't looking for any muse's writing in particular that you want to see, but you want to see if we are a good fit to write together. Then you might want to see all my writing, which has answered asks, headcanons, drabbles, and interactions in it. Or maybe you only want to see thread interactions, so you'd go to all replies.

Since there might be a lot of tags (depending on if you are a multiuse or not), I recommend using a Google Docs or a draft post to hold all of your tags for easy keeping.

FORMATTING

The two dividers are from two different sources. The thin one was made by theresourcedhunted, and the thick one was made by dividing by underesources. However, I edited it to remove many of the fancy pieces as I wanted something a tad simpler.

To make my gifs centered without editing them, I use THIS blank space / image.

❝ ❞ is what I use for my dialogue around spoken words. ● A tutorial on making adding coloring to your replies faster without going into the HTML, but a single time. You could always use the few colors tumblr has built in for simplicity.

There are about 4 to 5 spaces between my dialogue and the rest of my text. I'm still trying to figure out what I like personally in that department.

To simplify things, if you use a Windows computer to hotkey and streamline some things, I use aText, a Microsoft Store application. All I have to do is enter a specific combo of letters and words to get a unique key or spacing that I set up myself.

【 ✉️ 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 】 : this is for any sent messages by my muse. Again, the fancy font is the same one I used in my pinned post. You could use fancy emojis and things. I colored the text of the name and bold it. The actual text is in a small-sized font along with regular normal Tumblr font.

【 📩 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐄 】 : this is what I tend to use for messages that my message receives. So, if I am writing a reply that my muse is talking to their friend, but my muse's mother texts them, and I want to show it, that is how I do it.

I personally like to link in headcanons in my replies and things for others to read if needed, share links to songs that might be heard in a reply, or pinterest links to images of maybe the muse's style that is relevant to a reply. I mentioned this in my rules so others know that there will never me links to malware or anything else and is always in good faith.

My formatting doesn't really change for headcanons. I use bolded fonts for the header of each headcanon. Then, bullet points might make it easier for others to find information and read.

every post that I make that isn't a starter tends to follow the same spacing that I mentioned being between my dialogue and using the same bolded font that I always use and was linked above.

Alright, here is a tip. If you have several tags and want to narrow down, say, a certain verse that has headcanons about it, as long as you know what the tag names are, you could enter both tags separated by a + in the middle to get all the posts between two tags (and possibly more, but I have not checked that out). So, if you are really organized tag-wise, then you can easily filter things out.

I did the equivalent of mentally rising from my bed like a vampire rising from their coffin yesterday as I was trying to sleep as a thought struck me; There's a high chance there's a verse of the PrincessLuz AU where Belos *doesn't* kick the bucket early or pre-story start, and for Reasons Luz and Hunter has to make a run for it from the castle (Belos is about to kill Hunter and Luz gets a good hit in before they book it. Or Hunter walks in on the Nightmare Dinner Scene and they make a run for it. Many options.) and Belos proceeds to spin a heartwrenching, complete bullshit lie how the Golden Guard has lost it and abducted his beloved daughter and who knows what he will do to her. Not directly stated but highly implied that Hunter is now Kill On Sight.

Meanwhile Amity, at undecided rate of knowing Luz+Hunter well but knowing Hunter would rather break his own bones than purposefully make even a scratch on Luz, is watching this all unfold like "uuuuhhh, Doubt™". And if she has the luck of running into them, well she can't kill Hunter! For reasons. And Luz seems to really not want to go back. Maybe one of the scouts she's with is about to hit Hunter and she just- moves without thinking. Knocks the fucker out and oh that sure is a choice she can't take back. Fuck guess she's a deserter now.

At the castle we have the separate but synchronised freaking out of Darius, Raine, and Lilith, who are Losing Their Minds over them being out there and actively being hunted down to be brought back to the saw trap that is the Emperor's Castle. Possible team-up after Darius and Raine see how hard Lilith is spiralling and she lets something slip?? But also laughing over the possibility of Lilith swallowing her pride and going to Eda for help. Maybe with some pressure from Darius and Raine. Eda opening the door to three Coven Heads, one being her estranged sister and one her ex, and she wonders if the appleblood she had yesterday was spiked with something.

MMM YES YES YES EXCELLENT CONCEPTS. poor amity rapid-cycling between "luz is clearly fucking Terrified of belos and i'll be damned if i drag Anybody back to their abusive parent" and "oh titan. i just chose HUNTER over LILITH".... poor girl. im love her.

a while back there was a timeline where luz hunter and vee ran away several years pre-fic-canon... i could see events unfolding here similarly. "okay, we'll be found on the isles, we either have to sneak through the castle portal or eda clawthorne's portal so we can hide out in the human world" <-three people who don't realize Just How Out-Of-Place a group of scruffy obviously unhoused teens will be in suburban connecticut.

So for the occasion of my new tablet I spent a good chunk of yesterday just drawing my special lad to get used to the new thing, BUT!!! Past Crystal Springs version!

I have been thinking SO MUCH about the semantics of Kills in CS, especially with the looming figure of Into the Shadows my mind has been GOING. I adore the lore that has already been put forth, but can't stop THINKING!

I think I need like, an actual entire CS timeline if I want to properly figure out overlapping ages/important event points because here's my thoughts:

So, it's possible he was a helping hand in locking up Erebus but the context for how is still a mystery. But it's practically canon that he SOMEHOW willed himself into existence and got himself a body. And I had a delightful thought that he first formed as a shitty, shitty teenager. He is gangly, he is lanky, his face is breaking out and his voice cracks like nothing else.

(I don't think he particularly grew out of some of this teen shittiness, in his maturity, I think he's just lazier, stronger! but also SO tired.)

I would image Sandy is somewhere around the twins' age at this time, not yet a teen, when him and his had (the current Sandman) go about putting Erebus DOWN (and as probably the ONLY time those two have worked together on a shared goal in their LIVES.)

Again, the exact how of his existence is still undecided, I don't think I'm well versed enough in crystal springs world building to make that call. Perhaps the current Sandman at the time gave him a light-life or something similar?? 🤔🤔 (in that specific case, modern day, he lies his ASS off and just says he willed himself into existence.) I don't know! He also could've just formed as a full adult! Anything could be possible!

YU-GI-OH! DM — ISABELLA “IZZ” ROOKE

Oh Izz. Izz baby. My girl :3c She's the main character of a DM alternate fic called Soul Release, named after a card that's very important to her. She survived a tragic pileup that killed her entire family. Unbeknownst to her, this event tied her to a freshly-born reincarnation of Anubis named Rin in this verse.

This version of DM also includes a faction of worshippers of Apophis because of the existence of The Prophet of Apophis, a strong leader and manipulator… as cult leaders tend to be.

Aigami/Diva also appears earlier in this story rather than being a post-canon aspect; we get a Kisara reincarnation named Sapha, a German TCG champion; and Battle City gets a top 16 on the blimp with these three OCs especially mixing things up via their being chosen by the Wickeds.

I say “chosen,” but both Yami Bakura/Zorc and Rin/Anubis work together to create them to oppose the Egyptian gods. Yami B and Rin have a… working relationship, very much rooted in “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” They both strive for the pharaoh’s downfall. Rin chooses Avatar for herself while Yami B takes Wicked Dreadroot. Then Prophet blows up the museum, catching Yami B in the blast, and steals it for himself. Rin gives Eraser to Izz because she sees Izz as a puppet Rin can coerce to do her bidding anytime, including opposing the pharaoh.

Izz moves to Yugi and co’s school. She’s fairly distant from everyone in her life because of the tragedy, but they are kind to her and she is kind in turn. She wins local tournaments and tops regionals because, in order to hide from grief, she fixates on Duel Monsters deckbuilding and ratios and meta etc. This is enough to earn her a Duelist Kingdom invite. Overall, she’s an anxious mess who needs a hug and isn’t sure how to properly interact with other people anymore. She feels like a cataclysm waiting to happen again and again.

Now the elephant in the room! You see her with the Pyramid of Light. Rin approaches Izz after her first regional win. Izz is weak at the knees for beautiful women (and men—everyone is a bi disaster, remember?). Rin explains she hosted the tournament and forgot about a particular prize. She compliments Izz’s dueling and gifts her the Pyramid of Light, saying she’d like to get to know her better. Izz is flabbergasted and accepts the Pyramid, asking only what it is. Rin only describes it as valuable jewelry and recommends Izz keep it on her person.

The iridescent swirls in the pyramid’s sky blue are mesmerizing to Izz, and staring at it provides an indescribable comfort… and focal point to keep her grounded/stop her out of body experiences such that she does indeed wear it constantly

This has an unintended side effect

See, Izz wears a necklace (in the artwork, matches Dark Magician Girl’s pendant) that just so happens to contain the ancient and slumbering spirit of Mana. Being so close to the dark energy of the Pyramid of Light stirs her, and she becomes Izz’s ghost like companion similar to the pharaoh and Yugi. Mana is always trying to be a positive influence on Izz where Rin is like the devil on her shoulder. Izz often makes mistakes and trusts the wrong people, hurting her friendships with the gang and repairing them again.

Her using Wicked Dreadroot however… that one will certainly be difficult to come back from.

And as for pairings, I’m undecided and going so many directions! I would probably have to write it all out.

( tl;dr - this is a canon rewrite/what-if scenario where anzu solves the puzzle instead of yuugi. chaos, of course, ensues. )

Say hello to Alan Parke, my new OG HSS MC! He exists in an alternate universe from Evie, kinda like in Spiderverse. Or in this case, MC-verse. I'm gonna be making quite a handful of OG HSS MCs. And yes there will be occasional crossovers.

He's supposed to have the swept black colored hairstyle but apparently that's not even an option until book 2. For now I'll headcanon his hair starts out in this style (but is still colored black). I'm gonna be making quite a few other edits to his sprite.

Alan is very positive, cheerful, romantic, flirtatious, and one hell of a diva. Very self-aggrandizing, and hates self-loathing behaviors.

He's very into cheerleading, is very experienced in it, and is excited to join the cheer squad at Berry High. He's picked up on how rare male cheerleaders are, but rarely faced pushback for his own interest.

I'm still undecided as to whether his endgame romance will be Maria or Emma, both seem like really good options. Popular cheerleader guy x serious student government girl, or popular cheerleader guy x shy awkward wallflower girl. Both are intriguing. I'm currently doing the Emma route for him as per the popular vote, but eventually he will get a Maria route too, and we'll see which of them has better chemistry with him.

He's cisgender, heteroromantic, and heteroflexible in his sexual attraction. He's very GNC and proud of it (big surprise there), and I'll probably be personally disowning almost all of the canon m!MC outfit options for him. Unfortunately there isn't much in the way of fem/GNC clothing for m!MCs in Choices. His MC Wardrobes is gonna be a fun one.

He also becomes close friends with Aiden, Michael, and Caleb- initiating a Cunt Era for all of them and rallying them into being an absolute cunt-serving squad together.

Welcome to a special Q&A session about my upcoming zine Supernova, dedicated entirely to Starscream! I've gathered some of your questions—and added a few that I think you might be curious about—to help everyone understand the vision and how you can contribute. These answers are subject to change as the project evolves, but I'll release a definitive FAQ in June, along with the call for submissions.

Questions and Answers:

Q: What inspired you to create a zine focused on Starscream? A: Starscream is the beating spark of my love for Transformers. He swooped into my life in '85 and took up residence, capturing both my heart and my imagination. Supernova is my way to extend that love to a wider community, inviting others to bring their own Starscream-fueled perspectives, experiences and creativity in what I hope will become a collective love-letter to this amazing character.

Q: Will you be accepting submissions based on [insert continuity]? A: Absolutely! I'm primarily a G1 fan myself, but the zine is open to all continuities, including alternate universe settings. Since I'm admittedly not versed in every TF continuity, I plan to bring in editorial support as needed to help fill any knowledge gaps. Ultimately though, the canon a work is based on is less important than how it's written. I'm looking for thoughtful, well-rounded characterizations that celebrate Starscream's strengths without ignoring his flaws.

Q: Are there specific themes or storylines you’re looking for? A: Yes! My long-term vision is for Supernova to run for several issues, each focusing on a different theme. One of my goals is to encourage works that are slightly off the beaten path, offering character explorations not often seen in fanfic (or, let's face it, especially not in canon). For the first issue, my proposed theme is friendship - and other non-romantic bonds. Don't get me wrong; I enjoy romance as much as the next person, but for this issue of Supernova I'd love to see works that explore Starscream in other relationship contexts. What's he like as a friend, or a frenemy? An ally? A parent, sparkling, sibling, or trinemate? As a commander, subordinate, mentor or mentee? The focus here is on how these relationships impact his life, and how he impacts the lives of others, for better and worse.

Q: Do I have to follow this theme? A: No, you do not. If you have an idea that falls outside the theme, go for it! Be forewarned, I might give preference to submissions that do follow the theme if there are a lot of submissions and I have to make tough choices. However, the plan for now is to put out other issues, with other themes, so if your piece doesn't make it into this issue, it might very well become a cornerstone for the next one.

Q: What kinds of works are you looking for? A: I'm looking for poetry, art, comics, short fiction (probably 6k or less), as well as non-fiction essays, character analysis, headcanons, and so on. I will have more specific submission guidelines available in June.

Q: What is the deadline for submissions? A: This is currently undecided. I'm thinking of setting the submission deadline in early November, though a firm deadline will be announced along with the submission guidelines.

Q: Will NSFW submissions be allowed? A: Yes. The theme might be friendship and non-romantic bonds, but that doesn't exclude a friends-with-benefits arrangement. If I do get NSFW submissions, I'll publish two editions of the zine: one that's SFW only, and an extended version that includes the NSFW content so readers can pick according to their preference.

Q: Will this zine be published physically? A: I hope so! I'm looking into options for print publication. Ideally, I'd like to find a print-on-demand service that allows fanfiction, so that anyone who wants a copy of the zine can have it printed and shipped to them wherever they are in the world. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if most print-on-demand services allow fanfic. If you know of one that does, please drop me a DM and I'll look into it.

Is Santa canon in the slasheru-verse? And if yes (or no), what are Hex’s thoughts about this? Or the holiday season generally?

Hex DEFINITELY still thinks Santa is real, regardless of whether he actually is or not (I am undecided about whether Santa literally exists in the Slasher U-niverse but I bet there's some horror movie out there with Slasher Santa that makes this canon. Krampus however?? totally real.)

I like to think Hex gets so psyched about Santa (and the holidays in general) that nobody, not even Juno, has the heart to tell him he's not real. he's too precious for this earth!!

I got to thinking about Elizabeth and Will (from potc) in an asoiaf verse and here's some vague ideas:

Their stories are very similar to their canon, just without the magic curse and undead fish people. (tho honestly that could probably happen in asoiaf lol). Elizabeth is from Lys, her father is a Magister. She lived the rich noble life before becoming a pirate for Reasons, eventually becoming a captain of her own ship. Will is originally from Myr, his father was a pirate, Will joined him when he was a child, he was found adrift at sea after a shipwreck and brought back to Lys. Was a blacksmiths apprentice, then later a pirate. He is said to have died in battle but was brought back (possibly by a red priest). How and why they become pirates in this verse I'm undecided about. (they just love that pirate life)

You know what. Since it’s the au’s one-year birthday(literally posting this at exactly 12am what am i saying), I might as well explain it now. So.

RESTART AU.

Restart au is an alternate universe of Mystery Skulls Animated - an au that branches off after the (very murky and unknown) events of the upcoming fifth video. In my imagined (but also slightly undecided and subject to change) canon, the gang manages to exorcise Reverb from Mystery’s body but not kill him entirely. After those events, Reverb stalks around the gang, trying to find weaknesses of theirs again, and he does this for some time.

Until eventually he runs out of luck during one of their investigations and turns himself into a human. (Like a fucking LOSER)

When that happens, Lewis is the first to notice, and because he’s a vengeful ghost, he subsequently tries to strangle Reverb to death — until Arthur comes in and he stops because Arthur does not want to witness someone else dying because what the fuck! What the actual fuck Lewis!!

Anyway the gang decides yeah if we let this guy run around all human and helpless and stuff he’ll cause some trouble so they force him to come back home with them. Probably at Vivi’s house because she’s the most well-versed in the supernatural I think. And idk shenanigans ensue! (Pain. It’s pain. A lot of it HAHAHA)

Anyway Reverb is like a wet rag in this au because it makes him more fun to put through The Horrors - such as a bunch of demonic lab whump!!
