I have a line that I can NOT shake out of my head once I spoke it aloud. I'm writing a more fleshed out scene, but this is what I'm hyperfixated on:

A: *falling to his knees* But I want to keep Dreaming! Even if it's a nightmare, I want to Dream!

B: *pats A's head awkwardly and almost immediately wipes their hand on their robes in mild disgust* I know. But the Dream has come to an end. And there will be no awakening. Not for you. Goodbye, [Redacted until I write the whole scene].

Note: Character A is already dead; Character B is simply informing A that their relevance has ceased and as such, so will their very essence. Think of it as an involuntary passing through The Door in the final season of The Good Place.

Another Note: Ideally, both parts would be played by the same VA. In this way, the character can be truly put to rest, without the character's creator having to subject their friend and themselves to an awkward situation of "I want to make the BBEG pay; can you act out a scene where karma finally comes to collect?" I think this could avoid all that. After all, how more cruel could it be to subject [character] to complete irrelevance, especially since he thought he had things figured out? He didn't fear death, because he was so sure he would still exist in some form or fashion. How beautifully cruel for him to be (partially) right, and for it not to matter at all?

I thought about not writing this post but what ever stopped me from being petty about gendered ASMR audios, anyway... On today's episode of "Cardlin clearly came up with the M4F script first and then had to somehow adapt it for 4A and 4M":

The spies audio is really nice actually - it's about two spies who have to pretend to be a married couple at some gala/auction to secretly apprehend and interrogate some guy there - I do quite like the idea and the execution, but. In the 4F version the listener has a gun and a knife on her stoking garter under her evening dress - the classical trope - and then, when she seduces the target the speaker character has to interfere because the guy's groping her thigh and if his hand moves any lower he'll find the gun.

That's all great, until we learn that in the 4M the gun is still strapped to the garter, just to one for socks. So, as you know sock garters go around your ankles, which raises two questions: 1) how wide are his trousers to allow to hide a gun on his ankle; 2) how inconvenient is it to have to hike up your trousers up to your knees to get your gun or knife. And then with the target and the groping - where was he even touching the listener? You have to keep in mind - they're standing up in that scene - how low did he have to bend to reach his sock garters? Was he actually a blatant foot fetishist and reaching for the shoes? I have to answers to any of those questions.

Oh and in the 4A version the gun is in their 'secret pocket' which just... what are they wearing to that gala which allows them to have a secret pocket on their thigh big enough to hide a gun?

Again, I'm not judging - I'm glad he's trying his best to be inclusive but these are just a little too funny and a little too obvious to me.
