Understanding Capacitors: Their Key Types, Applications, and Impact on Electric Performance
In the realm of modern electronics, the optimal performance of systems and devices regularly hinges on the proper integration and interplay of various board-level components that perform unique roles. Among the many electrical elements that serve as building blocks of design, items known as capacitors stand out as some of the most critical forms of passive components despite their relatively simple function. This blog will provide a comprehensive overview of capacitors for your knowledge, examining their fundamental design, common types, notable applications, and key considerations for ongoing use.
What Are Capacitors and How Do They Affect Electric Performance?
At their core, capacitors are two-terminal electronic components used to temporarily store electrical energy in an electric field. Structurally, they consist of two conductive plates that are separated by a dielectric material, which determines the component’s ability to store a charge. When connected to a power source, a capacitor will accumulate electrons on one plate while depleting those on the other, leading to a voltage difference across the two. The stored charge can then be used as a transient source when power is removed, or be harnessed for other various purposes.
The impact of capacitors on electric performance is quite multifaceted, as they are widely relied on for functions like energy storage, voltage regulation, signal smoothing, noise filtering, and coupling or decoupling AC/DC signals. Generally speaking, the exact capabilities and design of capacitors will vary based on the application they are to serve, with a range of options being available.
Key Capacitor Types and Their Applications
Capacitors are available in many variations, with some of the most widely used types including:
● Ceramic Capacitors: These are among the most common capacitors for many systems and devices, recognized for their compact size, cost-effectiveness, and stability over a wide temperature range. They are particularly ideal for high-frequency applications across consumer, telecommunication, and automotive settings, where they are used for decoupling and filtering.
● Electrolytic Capacitors: Known for their high capacitance values, electrolytic variations are polarized capacitors used in power supply circuits for bulk energy storage and smoothing purposes. They are also essential in devices requiring large, steady power outputs, with examples including audio amplifiers and industrial power converters.
● Tantalum Capacitors: These capacitors offer stable performance and reliability, particularly benefiting compact circuits. Their high volumetric efficiency also makes them suitable for applications like mobile phones and embedded systems, where space is more often constrained.
● Film Capacitors: Valued for their long-term stability and low inductance, film capacitors are prevalent in motor drives, inverters, and audio equipment, where performance consistency is of the highest concern.
● Supercapacitors (Ultracapacitors): Designed for exceptionally high energy storage, these capacitors bridge the gap between conventional capacitors and rechargeable batteries. This has allowed them to find popularity within renewable energy systems, hybrid vehicles, and memory backup systems.
Selecting the appropriate capacitor type for one’s specific operations is crucial, as mismatched parts or options that do not meet performance requirements can cause reduced efficiency, damage, or even device failure.
Important Maintenance and Replacement Considerations
While capacitors are designed for reliability, they are still subject to wear and aging like other electronics, especially when facing prolonged use within high-stress environments that involve heat, voltage fluctuations, or continuous charging/discharging cycles. Understanding the operational lifespan and degradation signs of capacitors is thus critical for upholding system integrity.
Common Signs of Capacitors Issues
Common signs of capacitor failure or damage will generally include bulging, leakage, reduced capacitance, or system instability. While some of these issues may be noticeable right away, it is important to conduct regular inspections to ensure that there are no underlying conditions that may be less noticeable. Preventative maintenance will always save one time and money, with manufacturer recommendations being the most advisable to follow to best extend the service life of parts.
Replacement Tips
Despite best efforts, there will come a time in which capacitors will simply need to be replaced. When searching for suitable replacements, it is vital to match key specifications like voltage rating, capacitance value, polarity, and temperature tolerance to the original item. Substituting a part with improper ratings may compromise safety and system functionality, among other issues. Additionally, sourcing replacements from reputable distributors is important to avoid counterfeit components that may not meet performance or safety standards.
The Importance of Partnering with a Trusted Source for Capacitor Procurement

You were lounging on your couch, your small form a tiny fitting. You absentmindedly swiped your hand across the coffee table, knocking over a potted plant in the process. The ceramic pot shattered on the floor, dirt spilling everywhere as the plant lay broken and lifeless.
The plant was one of Wanda's favorites. You knew how much she cared for each of her plants, treating them like precious children—well your best friend loved her plants more than you. So you immediately sprang into action, frantically gathering the broken pieces of the plant and trying to scoop up the spilled dirt. You panicked, knocking over a nearby vase in the process, causing it to shatter on the floor as well.
The room was now a mess, with shattered ceramic, spilled dirt, and broken plant parts scattered everywhere. Your panicked attempts to clean up the mess only made it worse, causing you to knock over a lamp and send books tumbling to the floor.
"Dammit, dammit, dammit!"
You let out a heavy sigh as you looked around at the remaining mess. You knew you couldn't afford to leave anything undone, not with Wanda's keen eye for detail. So you started to clean the broken lamps, put the books back in place, but you have no idea how to replace her favorite plant! Her children!
"She'll know, won't she?" you shakingly muttered to yourself, running a dirty hand through your disheveled hair. You looked around at the mess, knowing you still have a night ahead of you before Wanda comes back.
You whined softly to yourself as you vacuumed the rug, your imagination running wild with scenarios of Wanda's anger. "She's probably going to kill me...or worse, sacrifice me to have her plants back!" you dramatically collapsed onto the couch, clutching a throw pillow to your chest. You stopped your tantrum. Suddenly, an idea struck you with the earlier words that came out of your mouth. You bolted upright on the couch, your eyes wide with realization.
"Sacrifice...summon…" you whispered to yourself. An evil grin spread across your face as you formulated a plan.
You rushed to the bookshelf, pulling out a dusty, ancient tome from the section Wanda had labeled Cursed Spells & Failed Experiments, you had a vague recollection of them attempting a summoning spell from this book before, with comical results.
You flipped through the brittle pages, your eyes scanning for the summoning incantation. You paused, remembering your previous attempt—Wanda had mispronounced a keyword, causing a burst of colorful smoke and a very confused parrot to appear instead of an entity you two intended to summon before you two bursted out laughing.
The spell was there, marked with a crude drawing of a demon and a large X through it. You snorted, remembering how Wanda had insisted that the X meant "extra powerful" rather than "do not attempt." You cleared your throat, trying to ignore the strange feeling brewing in your stomach, you're not gonna summon a demon right now, instead an entity that can revitalized Wanda's plant, some creature of sort.
You laid out the required component; a candle, a small dagger, and what the book vaguely referred to as the essence of the earth.
Taking a deep breath, you began to recite the incantation, your voice low and gravelly. The ancient words felt foreign on your tongue, but you pressed on, determined to see this through.
"Spiritus sylvarum…" (Spirit of the Woods)
The very fabric of Wanda's home began to tremble and shake. Pictures rattled on the walls, and the furniture groaned as if the house itself was protesting the unnatural summoning.
"Exumbrae ad me…" (Shadows to me)
You didn't stop, eager to complete the ritual. Your voice grew stronger, more confident, as you spat out the final words.
"Revigorare plantae et herbae, in nomine terrae monstrum, oh no wait, matris—wait what?" (Revitalize plants and herbs, in the name of a mother monster, earth)
The darkness in the room grew denser and more intense.
A wrong slip of word left your lips, a shockwave of dark energy exploded outward. The refrigerator rattled violently, and the fluorescent lights flickered ominously. You expected to see an ethereal nature spirit materialize before you. Instead, a tall, imposing figure emerged from the shadows, her eyes glinting with malice and amusement.
The figure solidified, revealing the demon in all her terrifying glory. Her skin was pale as bone, her features sharp and angular. Her auburn hair braided and she was clad in black armor that seemed to absorb the light. Her gaze fell upon you, her expression one of utter disdain.
Her gaze returned to you, her eyes roaming hungrily over your form. Her crimson gaze was like a physical caress, tracing the curve of your neck, the swell of your breasts, the length of your legs. Her lips peeled back from his teeth in a predatory grin.
She is hungry.
Her gaze never left yours as she crossed her arms over her chest, affecting an air of nonchalance despite the hunger burning within her.
"Why am I being summoned upon, princess?"
You backed away involuntarily, your breath hitching in your throat. Her presence was overwhelming, her power pressing against you like a physical weight. You stammered, struggling to find your voice.
"I-I... I summoned you because... because…"
Your words tumbled out in a rushed, panicked mess.
"Ididntsummonademon!"
Tears streamed down your cheeks as you begged, your voice thick with desperation. You weren't sure if you were more afraid of her terrifying presence or Wanda's wrath if she found out you'd tampered with her precious plants.
"Why am I being summoned upon?" she repeated again, much firmer and scary this time.
"Pleasefixmyfriendsplant!"
She watched you with a cruel smirk, clearly enjoying your distress. She took another step forward, closing the distance between you.
"Aww, is the little mortal upset about a silly plant?" she taunted, her voice dripping with mock sympathy.
Her laughter echoed through the room, cold and mirthless. "You expect me, a mighty demon, to fix a mere plant?" she threw her head back, laughing harder at the absurdity of it all.
"Stupid, stupid humans," she muttered, shaking her head. "Risking their lives for something so trivial." She reached out, her long, pale fingers caressing your cheek, tracing the path of your tears.
"How adorable."
Her laughter subsided, her gaze once again turning hungry as she took in your terrified state. Your fear was intoxicating, feeding her hunger and satisfying her more than any pleas for help ever could.
"Oh, princess, you don't know how much your fear pleases me," she purred. She leaned in closer, her breath hot against your ear. "You know what else would please me?" She whispered, her voice a dark, seductive purr. "If you'd make a bargain with me. Anything, in exchange for fixing that pitiful plant."
Her eyes glinted with eager anticipation as you nodded dumbly, your fear clouding your judgment. "Excellent," she hissed, her voice barely containing her glee. "A contract, at last! I've been so hungry for one."
"Hm, I do what you ask of me," she recited, her voice a dark rumble. "And in return, you give me something you own. Something precious to you." She paused, a wicked smile spreading across her face. She licked her lips, barely concealing her excitement as you nodded eagerly, surrendering yourself to the contract without a second thought. Your desperate obedience only fueled her hunger.
"Now let me see the thing that's worth risking your soul for."
You turned around, pointing a shaking finger at the pathetic plant sitting on the table. Its once-vibrant leaves were now shriveled and brown, the pot cracked, and the soil dry and lifeless.
"Magical, but finicky little things, aren't they?" she observed, circling the withered plant like a predator. "Out of the soil for too long, and they'll perish in an instant."
In a blink of an eye, the plant burst back to life, its vibrant green leaves unfurling as if they'd never wilted. She sneered, satisfied with her handiwork. She snapped her fingers, and Wanda's living room indeed, her entire house—was restored to pristine condition.
"There," you stared in disbelief, your mouth agape. That freaking quick?! "And I've done more than you asked of me," she purred, stepping closer. "I expect the same eagerness from you, princess." Her fingers brushed your chin, tilting your face up.
Your hand flew immediately to your neck, fumbling with the delicate chain until you pulled out an old, intricately carved locket. Tears welled in your eyes as you clutched it to your chest. "This...this is from my grandmother. She gave it to me before she passed away because it will protect me."
Her green orb eyes narrowed as she listened, a flicker of interest sparking in their depths. She stepped closer, looming over you. "Your grandmother's necklace, you say? How...sentimental." Her voice was a low purr, tinged with dark amusement.
The demon's gaze softened almost imperceptibly. She saw the pain and longing in your eyes, the struggle between your attachment to the heirloom and your desperate desire to have your friend's plants restored.
"And how was this trinket supposed to protect you?" her voice was gentler, curious. You took a deep, shuddering breath, your eyes shimmering with unshed tears.
"My noo—my grandmother was a wise woman," you said, your voice thick with emotion. "She told me that as long as I wore it, I'd always have her love with me. That it would shield me from darkness." You looked up at her, tears spilling down your cheeks.
She listened intently, studying your face as you spoke. A flicker of something almost like sympathy crossed her features before being quickly masked. She turned the delicate necklace over in her hands, examining it closely.
"Your noona...she's found peace, princess. A paradise beyond the reach of this world's sorrows."
You stared at her, shocked. Your jaw hung open, and your eyes widened. You had grown accustomed to her cold indifference and mockery. But this...this was something else entirely. A demon, an ice-cold demon, was comforting you? The king of hell might need some reevaluation with his armies.
She uncurled her fist, revealing the unscathed necklace. To your surprise, she stepped closer, her chilling presence enveloping you. Gently, she lifted the necklace, her fingers brushing against your skin as she secured it around your neck once more. She lingered for just a moment, her hot breath ghosting over your skin as she fastened the clasp with a soft click.
"There," she said, her voice back to its usual detached tone. "Now, keep that... memento of your grandmother's love. I want something else in return." Her gaze sharpened, refocusing on you. "Something...that you possess," she finished, her eyes gleaming with an unreadable emotion. "A promise, perhaps. Or maybe a secret." She stepped closer, her voice lowering to a conspiratorial whisper.
"I-I'm...I'm still pure," you stammered, your cheeks flaming red as you confessed. It was the truth and a secret that not even your best friend knows. And why in hell did you even say that?
Her eyebrows shot up, surprise flashing across her face before her expression returned to its usual unreadable mask. "Interesting," she murmured, leaning even closer. "So, all this time, you've been untouched." She reached out, her cold fingers gently tilting your chin up, forcing you to meet her gaze once more. "And why is that, little one? Why have you kept yourself...pure?" her voice was barely a whisper, her breath chill against your lips. "Is it because you're waiting for someone special?" she finished, her eyes searching yours with an intensity that made your heart race. "Or perhaps," her other hand came up to rest on your waist, her touch searing even through your clothes. "You simply haven't found anyone worthy of claiming your innocence yet?"
Her words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken implications. You felt like she was peeling back layers of your soul, exposing your deepest fears and desires. Her hand on your waist tightened ever so slightly, and you found yourself leaning into her touch without even realizing it.
"Tell me, little one, have you ever toyed with your own innocence? Caressed your own flesh? Discover the secrets of your own body?" her words were like velvet-covered steel, coercive and alluring, drawing out the truth you'd never spoken aloud before.
You turned your face away from her but her green orbs seemed to glow brighter. She leaned in closer, her gaze boring into yours, and suddenly, you felt a strange, invasive pressure against your mind. She was looking into your thoughts, seeing the truth laid bare.
She saw...everything.
She saw the night you'd snuck into your room, fingers trembling as you'd reached under your shirt to touch your small, untouched breasts. He saw your frustrated attempts to relieve the ache between your legs, your fingers fumbling and ineffective as you'd struggled to find any sort of release. Her lips curled into a wicked smirk as she withdrew from your mind, leaving you feeling violated and exposed. She brought her hand up to your face, her thumb brushing over your lower lip. "Oh, you poor, frustrated little thing," she purred, her voice dripping with mock sympathy. "All that fire, all that need, and nowhere for it to go. You'd touch yourself, so curious, so eager to learn... but your inexperienced fingers could never quite bring you the relief you craved, could they?"
Your reaction was immediate and visceral. Your breath hitched in your throat, and your heart skipped a beat as she spoke about your deepest secret.
"I will take your secret…and so is your purity."
Her eyes flashed with a predatory gleam as she sensed your hesitation and the war raging within you—the desire to submit to her dark temptations battling against your ingrained purity. She pressed her advantage, her hand sliding up your side to cup your breast through your shirt.
Shame and disgust at allowing a demon such intimate access warred with the undeniable pleasure of her touch. You felt pathetic, weak, as if you were betraying everything you stood for.
You shivered at the touch, your breath growing shallow as the cool air hit your bare chest. She leaned down and whispered, "No one will ever care for you like I will, my precious little human." Her eyes gleamed with dark triumph as she finished unbuttoning your shirt. She pushed it off your shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. "That's right, my sweet. You're mine now, bound to me by contract until the day you die." She traced patterns on your chest, her fingers dipping down to your belly, then lower, to the tie of your pants. "What a delectable prize you are."
With a sudden, brutal move, she pushed your legs apart and shoved you back onto the couch, pinning your shoulders to the cushions. Before you could even catch your breath, she was kneeling between your spread bare thighs, her face mere inches from your dripping pussy.
"Look at you," she hissed, "So open, so ready. You may have sold your soul, but your body was made for me."
She lowered her head, her cold tongue flicking out to lap at your heated flesh. You gasped, your hips bucking forward, only to be held down by her strong hands.
Your fingers dug into the flesh of your thighs as you gripped them tightly, torn between the urge to push her away and the insidious pull to spread wider and invite more of her touch. You had, after all, sold your soul to her, hadn't you?
You bit your lip to stifle a moan as her cool, silken demon tongue delved into your wet folds. She licked up your juices, then pushed the tip of her tongue deep inside you, fucking you with it as she sucked hard on your clit. Your moans grew louder, more desperate, as she ate you out with a fervor that left you breathless. The sensation of her cold, demonic tongue inside you was unlike anything you'd ever experienced, and you found yourself pushing back against it, desperate for more.
"Oh God!"
"Even God won't help you right now princess…"
Your back arched, your body tension as an overwhelming wave of sensation crashed over you. You screamed, your voice hoarse with passion, as you convulsed against her mouth. She drank you down, her hands tightening on your hips to hold you in place as she continued to lap at your over-sensitive flesh.
She crawled up your body, she kissed and licked her way up your body, she left a trail of dark marks - hickeys and bite marks that would serve as her claim on you. She suckled at the sensitive skin of your inner thighs, your lower belly, the undersides of your breasts. As she marked you, the dark bruises and hickeys seemed to glow with a faint, eerie light. The marks pulsed softly, as if infused with demonic energy. She claimed you as hers, marking you in a way that would be visible to all, a testament to her ownership.
"Mine."
She slipped off you, her eyes never leaving yours. "I want you ready for me, always," she said, her voice low and commanding. "When I come around, hungry...I expect you to be prepared. Understand?" she leaned down, her voice a silken growl against your ear.
"What's your name?" you asked, still weak from the pleasure.
"You'll never know." She said, her voice dripping with mocking sweetness.
In a blink of an eye she vanished, leaving behind an icy chill and an empty room. One moment she was there, her presence overwhelming, the next—nothing. No trace she'd ever been there, except for the glowing marks of ownership on your body.
You quickly gathered your scattered clothes, dressing hurriedly as you dashed out of the room. The cool air against your skin did little to soothe the heat that still coursed through your veins. You could feel the dampness between your thighs, a constant reminder of what had just happened.
Kneeling before the ancient book you had used for the ritual, you frantically flipped through the yellowed pages, your hands shaking. You scanned the text, your heart pounding in your chest.
"I have to break the contract…" you muttered, tears forming in your eyes as it darted back and forth, desperately searching for an answer.
Your breath hitched in your throat as you read the words, the implications washing over you.
"The contract can only be severed by a single path, when the summoner grasps the true name of the demon being they've bound, and utters it forthwith."
"You'll never know."

[ID: A decorative orange ceramic plate with a pyramid of green herbs and sesame seeds, topped with deep red sumac and more sesame seeds. End ID]
زعتر فلسطيني / Za'tar falastinia (Palestinian spice blend)
Za'tar (زَعْتَر; also transliterated "za'atar," "zaatar" and "zatar") is the name of a family of culinary herbs; it is also the name of a group of spice blends made by mixing these herbs with varying amounts of olive oil, sumac, salt, roasted sesame seeds, and other spices. Palestinian versions of za'tar often include caraway, aniseed, and roasted wheat alongside generous portions of sumac and sesame seeds. The resulting blend is bold, zesty, and aromatic, with a hint of floral sourness from the sumac, and notes of licorice and anise.
Za'tar is considered by Palestinians to have particular national, political, and personal importance, and exists as a symbol of both Israeli oppression and Palestinian home-making and resistance. Its major components, olive oil and wild thyme, are targeted by the settler state in large part due to their importance to ecology, identity, and trade in Palestine—settlers burn and raze Palestinian farmers' olive trees by the thousands each year. A 1977 Israeli law forbade the harvesting of wild herbs within its claimed borders, with violators of the law risking fines and confiscation, injury, and even death from shootings or land mines; in 2006, za'tar was further restricted, such that even its possession in the West Bank was met with confiscation and fines.
Despite the blanket ban on harvesting wild herbs (none of which are endangered), Arabs are the only ones to be charged and fined for the crime. Samir Naamnih calls the ban an attempt to "starve us out," given that foraging is a major source of food for many Palestinians, and that picking and selling herbs is often the sole form of income for impoverished families. Meanwhile, Israeli farmers have domesticated and farmed za'tar on expropriated Palestinian land, selling it (both the herb and the spice mixture) back to Palestinians, and later marketing it abroad as an "Israeli" blend; they thus profit from the ban on wild harvesting of the herb. This farming model, as well as the double standard regarding harvesting, refer back to an idea that Arabs are a primitive people unfit to own the land, because they did not cultivate or develop it as the settlers did (i.e., did not attempt to recreate a European landscape or European models of agriculture); colonizing and settling the land are cast as justified, and even righteous.
The importance of the ban on foraging goes beyond the economic. Raya Ziada, founder of an acroecology nonprofit based in Ramallah, noted in 2019 that "taking away access to [wild herbs] doesn't just debilitate our economy and compromise what we eat. It's symbolic." Za'tar serves variously as a symbol of Palestinians' connection to the land and to nature; of Israeli colonial dispossession and theft; of the Palestinian home ("It’s a sign of a Palestinian home that has za’tar in it"); and of resistance to the colonial regime, as many Palestinians have continued to forage herbs such as za'tar and akkoub in the decades since the 1977 ban. Resistance to oppression will continue as long as there is oppression.
Palestine Action has called for bail fund donations to aid in their storming, occupying, shutting down, and dismantling of factories and offices owned by Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems. Also contact your representatives in the USA, UK, and Canada.
Ingredients:
Za'tar (Origanum syriacum), 250g once dried (about 4 cups packed)
250g (1 2/3 cup) sesame seeds
170g (3/4 cup) Levantine sumac berries, or ground sumac (Rhus coriaria)
100g (1/2 cup) wheat berries (optional)
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp aniseed (optional)
1/2 Tbsp caraway seeds (optional)
Levantine wild thyme (also known as Bible hyssop, Syrian oregano, and Lebanese oregano) may be purchased dried online. You may also be able to find some dried at a halal grocery store, where it will be labelled "زعتر" (za'tar) and "thym," "thyme," or "oregano." Check to make sure that what you're buying is just the herb and not the prepared mixture, which is also called "زعتر." Also ensure that what you're buying is not a product of Israel.
If you don't have access to Levantine thyme, Greek or Turkish oregano are good substitutes.
Wheat berries are the wheat kernel that is ground to produce flour. They may be available sold as "wheat berries" at a speciality health foods store. They may be omitted, or replaced with pre-ground whole wheat flour.
Instructions:
1. Harvest wild thyme and remove the stems from the leaves. Wash the leaves in a large bowl of water and pat dry; leave in a single layer in the sun for four days or so, until brittle. Skip this step if using pre-dried herbs.
2. Crumble leaves by rubbing them between the palms of your hands until they are very fine. Pass through a sieve or flour sifter into a large bowl, re-crumbling any leaves that are too coarse to get through.
Crumbling between the hands is an older method. You may also use a blender or food processor to grind the leaves.
3. Mix the sifted thyme with a drizzle of olive oil and work it between your hands until incorporated.
4. Briefly toast sumac berries, caraway seeds, and aniseed in a dry skillet over medium heat, then grind them to a fine powder in a mortar and pestle or a spice mill.
5. Toast sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly, until deeply golden brown.
6. (Optional) In a dry skillet on medium-low, toast wheat berries, stirring constantly, until they are deeply golden brown. Grind to a fine powder in a spice mill. If using ground flour, toast on low, stirring constantly, until browned.

Some people in the Levant bring their wheat to a local mill to be ground after toasting, as it produces a finer and more consistent texture.
7. Mix all ingredients together and work between your hands to incorporate.
Store za'tar in an airtight jar at room temperature. Mix with olive oil and use as a dipping sauce with bread.

trying to match the jjk men's eating pace
that one tiktok trend where you try to match the pace your partner eats bite for bite
featuring gojo satoru, geto suguru, nanami kento, fushiguro toji
g. satoru
Satoru was actually shocked when you told him you were going to get as many burgers as he was, joking that he was going to have to finish your leftovers (not that he minded). everything was going smooth as he calmly unwrapped the first burger, taking a bite that didn't seem to under or over fill his mouth, giving you a false sense of security as you chewed your food like normal. panic began to set in by his third bite, practiced hands picking up a pinch of fries to add to the bite he was working on.
you weren't sure if his bites were getting bigger or if he was starting to chew faster, but before you knew it your cheeks were full and he was already crumpling the wrapper to start his second burger, taking a casual sip from his soft drink.
it was laughable, honestly, the way you were still holding half your burger, cheeks almost painfully full, sauce extending your smile, unable to match his sip of burger-filled mouth as you tried your best to hold in your laughter. satoru none the wiser. effectively making you choke on a crumb that had you keeled over, shoulders jumping with your silent chuckles.
"woah, baby. baby, slow down." His voice full of concern, unwrapping his third burger before patting your back in attempt to clear your throat.
g. suguru
suguru always savored his food no matter what it was or how many times he's eaten it. it was great, you were glad he found solace in food considering the toll his curse technique had on his body and his relationship with food. you'd never ask him to change it, but now that you've decided to partake in this silly internet challenge the rumble of your stomach has given you some regrets.
all you wanted to do was dig in, salivating at your steaming bowl of ramen. suguru sitting in front of you, a soft smile on his face as he carefully crafted a smaller ramen bowl in his soup spoon. chopsticks steady and meticulous as he let two noodles coil onto the spoon, dipping the edge of the ceramic into the soup until the noodles just barely peeked through. you sat there, noodles pinched by your chopsticks though still submerged in the broth as he slowly arranged green onions, garlic, pork, fermented bamboo shoots and strips of dried seaweed onto the utensil.
"ah, here we go." he finally said, setting his chopsticks down making you bring your noodles out of the broth and up to your mouth until he reached for a small spoon full of chili oil.
"not that hungry yet, love?" he quirked his brows at you when he noticed your creaky movements as you waited for him, finally bringing his mini bowl of ramen into his mouth, letting the flavors melt on his tongue before starting his slow chew. you followed suit, taking a bite and a sip of the broth.
"so hungry, suguru," you comedically sniffled to yourself, averting your gaze when he began repeating the process all over again.
n. kento
kento was quick skewer the contents onto his fork or scoop his rice onto his spoon, but slow to chew. he'd been excited for this meal after all, waltzing into the kitchen with a pep in his step after leaving work on time, still in his tie as he rolled up his sleeves to begin cooking. the table ending up with a beautiful spread of new dishes that caught his attention in the magazine he picked up last weekend.
unsurprising, the conversation would be about his thoughts on how all the components melded together, how one highlighted another, what it reminded him of. always a memory of a place you two went to together, then a small smile gracing his lips as he tells you that the two of you should go there again in the future. he'd ask you your thoughts, lips forming a small o as he listened to your suggestion of adding a little bit of that the next time he wanted to cook the dish.
the only thing surprising about trying to match his pace was actually how much bread he consumed, which you hadn't realized before until you felt like bursting at the seams when he picked up his forth roll-- a new recipe with his homemade garlic oil painted on top. you'd given up a while ago, choosing to enjoy the food he cooked, his love for bread unmatched. your head in your hand as you watched him chew, anyone on the outside would've assumed that he was eating out of necessity, but under your gaze you were blinded by the sparkle in his eyes as the flavors danced on his tongue. the momentary pause of his jaw as he conjured up a tweak in the recipe to bring it to the next level.
f. toji
you honestly weren't even going to try matching his pace. he devoured. the short skewers of yakitori disappearing into his mouth in an instant, the only thing able to pull you from your amazement was the soft 'ahhhh' he let out as he widened his mouth to accept the food. he barely took the time to finish chewing before bringing another skewer to his mouth. meals with toji usually ended with him running a lithe tongue over his lips, patting his stomach before eyeing whatever was left on your plate.
"gonna finish that?" he asked, hand already reaching whether you were done with your food or not.
he hummed to himself as you walked side by side just having left the restaurant.
"a branch from a sendai restaurant just popped up, want to try their gyutan with me?"
ah, toji's bottomless stomach and his love for meat.
A/N : aahhh i'm sorry toji's section is short, not much to write when the food is gone before you can even look at it LOL i just had suguru's so clearly in my mind and i had to stop myself from writing kento actually cooking. lowkey don't think i'm equipped for these mutli character posts lol

A group of dolls have gathered together. Huddled closely, they show each other their damaged parts.
One has repaired its once shattered arms with kintsugi, the classic golden resin wonderfully compliments its onyx-toned shell.
The next, pierced through the leg, has deepened the cracks in their olive ceramic in, creating dark black radial lines. It then decorated its leg with painted lines between the cracks, resembling a spider's web. There's even a small spider painted hanging from one of the edges, sporting a red hourglass and a mischievous smile
The third doll's shell has crazed after long decades of proud service to its witch. Patches of slightly askew quadrilateral white squares spread across its back and shoulders. Some of the lines have been darkened, and many of the squares have been painted in bright reds, blues, and other vivid hues. It giggles as it shares the name itbcame up with for the work: "Drunk Piet Mondrian."
The last doll of the group to share has to move in close before unbuttoning her dress to show the cracks on her chest. White resin fills select gaps in bronze-tone ceramic, and the intersections and ends are emphasized with white and silver stars. She lovingly calls them "constellations over this one's core."
Each doll can look in the mirror each day and smile. Parts once damaged have been made into something beautiful and unique. It is something that none of them would give up for new components. And yet sharing this with other dolls is what brings them all the most joy. The knowledge that they are not alone, and that their damage makes them all beautiful.
An art gallery of broken dolls walk down the street together to share a meal.

The ceramic produced in Prof. Igor Lubomirsky's lab at the Weizmann Institute of Science seemed too good to be true. It belongs to a class of materials that are the backbone of many essential technologies but that unfortunately also create an environmental problem because they usually contain lead, which is highly toxic. The surprising thing about the Weizmann ceramic was that it could perform just as well as other materials in this category while being entirely nontoxic. The research is published in the journal Nature Communications.
