But could you pretty please write a little fluff story of Susie trying to help Sammy manage his hair or try to style it (I really like the Sammy having 4c hair headcanon)

I just think it'd be absolutely adorable for the couple

Maybe even their daughter (I forgot her name but you wrote something about Sammy and Susie having a daughter together) and Charlie can mess with Sammy's hair alongside Susie

I don't get thousands of requests, but I do get a fair few.

The first thing Susie did when she and Sammy started dating was figure out how to help take care of his hair. She'd heard him complaining more than once about how hard it could be to take care of and how many people didn't understand the proper way to take care of his hair. It was clearly something important to him, and so Susie wanted to make sure it was something she could help with.

She got out a notebook and asked Sammy all the questions she could think of about how she could help him take care of his hair. Initially, she had been a little worried about how many questions she'd been asking, concerned that she came off as nosy, or one of the people who viewed Sammy's hair as some form of oddity to be gawked at.

"It's fine," Sammy had told her. "You're not being nosy." He paused before adding, "I... appreciate it. That you... want to help."

"Of course!" Susie said brightly. "It's important to you! So it's important to me!"

She didn't miss the way Sammy had smiled at that.

Several things needed to be kept in mind when it came to Sammy's hair, which Susie tried to remember.

First was that his hair tended to dry out far quicker than other hair types. Because of this, Sammy would regularly apply coconut oil and shea butter to keep his hair moisturized. He'd initially been a bit wary about letting Susie help apply the oil, but there were some days when he just didn't have the energy to go through the ritual, and he allowed her to assist. Although it did take some time before Susie was able to work it in properly, she did pick up the proper technique eventually.

Second was that his hair needed daily detangling. Every morning, he would wet his hair and use a comb to go through it to get out any tangles. He'd explained during their original conversation that he allotted a certain amount of time every morning to do this because if he didn't, there would be breakage. Like with the oil, although initially wary of letting Susie help, once he'd shown her the correct way to do it, she often began to help him comb his hair in the mornings. There was something very relaxing about the ritual for both of them. Sammy would close his eyes and lean back against Susie as she slowly worked the comb through his hair, using her fingers to gently undo any particularly stubborn tangles.

"It's... nice," he admitted at one point when they were on their way into the studio.

"What is?" Susie asked.

"Having you run your fingers through my hair," Sammy said, his cheeks darkening slightly. "It's... calming."

Susie couldn't help but smile, pride welling up in her chest at what was essentially a glowing endorsement from Sammy.

Third was the deep conditioning, which Susie had learned about the first winter after getting together with Sammy. Wintertime itself involved additional precautions to avoid his hair drying out. He always wore a hat in the winter, deep-conditioned his hair once a week, used steam treatments, and oiled his scalp. Susie tried to help as best she could, reminding him to wear his hat when it was cold out and picking up coconut oil when it seemed like he was running low.

It was these little things that led to Sammy allowing Susie to play with his hair. She'd proven she could be respectful, so she was allowed to touch it in a way no one else could. Generally, Sammy kept his hair fairly short, saying it was much easier to take care of that way. Not to mention, it kept people from trying to touch his hair too much. But with Susie, he allowed it to grow out, just a little bit. Not enough to put it in any specific style, but enough to play with a bit more.

When they adopted Charlie, Charlie was let in on the hair care secret, something they took to rather quickly. Although Charlie's hair wasn't nearly as curly as Sammy's, it still required some special care to keep it detangled and healthy. Charlie required a bit more help with their hair due to their mobility issues, so Susie and Sammy took turns helping them.

Needless to say, when Aria was eventually born with the same sort of hair Sammy had, the family was incredibly prepared.

Remember the idea of Sammy turning back into a child without his memories past that age?

Remember the idea of Sammy going through a rebellious phase where he was basically a criminal when he was young?

Mash the both together and you got peak entertainment

Joey tells him to stay by his side while he tries to find a way to turn him back and he's just like "fuck you old man!" And sprints down a hall

How'd you think the studio would react to that?

How would Susie and Charlie react to it??

I feel like the studio is utterly baffled because this Sammy is so different from the Sammy they're familiar with. Some of the younger members probably think teenage Sammy is the coolest person they've ever met and might hope that he stays like this for a while.

I think most of the management is not happy, though, because teenage Sammy is a real troublemaker.

Meanwhile, Jack is just dissociating because, "Oh god, he's like this again".

I feel like Charlie is kind of excited because teenage Sammy is really cool and edgy, and Susie is incredibly concerned because she does not want these two getting into trouble.
