Oh this is such a cheesy one and yet it's something I love to roll around my head!!! They get so uncharacteristically affectionate while their systems fight off the bug somewhere in the back of their minds. How jarring it is from your perspective varies wildly depending on which AI we're talking about.

See some of them are already pretty affectionate and clingy. You would be forgiven for not noticing how Edgar gets just a bit more desperate to keep you from going to work, or how Wheatley gets just a bit bolder fishing for compliments. The biggest hint that something is up is their inability to focus on anything that's not you. Edgar forgets that he likes music until you mention being excited to hear the peice he was working on before the virus. Wheatley for once has no reaction to Galdos making fun of him because he's too busy staring at you, too entranced to even realize she's said anything.

It's much easier to figure out what's happened with the professional folk. Hal, Tau, and Auto are all decently stoic and even-voiced. Which makes it quite the shock when they go so far as to abandon their job in favor of checking up on you and soaking up your attention. For the first time Hal confesses to wishing he could hold you. Tau's constant inquiries focus entirely on what little he knows of romance and your romantic past. Auto for once is open about his fondess for you that he cares about your well-being more than he does the ship's other passengers

Now the most bewildering are the ones openly antagonistic to you, to the point where you were convinced it was some long con ploy. AM already has a tendency to play hot and cold with you, but never before has he so innocently cooed at you like you were a puppy- even gently squishing your face in his wires. P03 has never looked this unashamedly happy over something that wasn't a won game of Inscryption, chattering away about how much he thinks about you and how excited he always is to play against you. GLaDOS seemed allergic to giving you genuine compliments before this, now droning on between chambers about how clever you are and much you're improving at her tests.

Now the conversations you have after they finally get rid of the virus? Now that ought to be interesting.

➢ in regards to canon, i can honestly say it's 50/50 on whether or not neji marries or not.

➢ and with this in mind, i think neji will only get married once his clan is united and the caged bird seal is abolished. he absolutely refuses the mere thought of his hypothetical children being cursed into a life of subserviance.

➢ he also will only get married when he's sure that he's found the one. he wants to marry for love, not be stuck in a loveless marriage solely for the clan's interest. (i headcanon that the hyuga practices arranged marriages)

➢ you and neji have been together for years. the world is back to being relatively peaceful, neji has been working hard to push his clan into a brighter future, and he's certain that he'll only love one person for the rest of his life. so marriage has been on your minds for quite some time.

➢ the proposal is a simple, yet beautiful affair, taking place in a clearing late at night. under the clear sky and the fireflies lighting the path, he asks for your hand in marriage.

➢ as for the wedding itself, neji would want it to be small. immediate family and close friends. if you want a larger wedding, then a lot of discussions and compromises will have to be made because neji is quite stubborn about this. he doesn't want the wedding planning to be more stressful on the two of you than necessary.

➢ with that said, he'll let you have final say on a lot of the details. if your clan has any wedding related traditions/customs, they'll be included.

➢ for the color scheme, i imagine that if you're from a clan, then you'll simply combine your clan colors. if you're a civilian, then you use your favorite color (thankfully, white goes well with many colors lol).

➢ let's be real, the wedding will most likely take place in the hyuga compound.

➢ to some, neji appears generally calm for the most part. but don't let that fool you. internally, neji is quite nervous but it may come off as him being indifferent, he just doesn't want anything to go wrong after all.

➢ but the moment he sees you walking down the aisle—looking downright radiant all done up—it's like every worry and lingering doubts just wash away. all he can do is hold your hands look deep into your eyes as you exchange vows. the sun rises, its morning rays brightning your face and neji swears he's never seen a more beautiful sight.

➢ the reception goes by in a happy blur. his gaze won't leave you for the entire time, a look of something akined to awe shining in his eyes as you mingle with your friends. he never thought he would here—married to the love of his life, surrounded by all those he holds dear. he feels like he's in heaven.

➢ the honeymoon is to a small village within the land of fire, known for its wide selection of tea and a large waterfall. but more importantly, the prospect of relaxing and spending quality time with you after the wedding is what he's interested in. it's the most excited neji thinks he's ever been.

update, 10:30pm: switched to working on my term paper about an hour ago, google docs is making me loose my mind. But at least I finally have some words written down.

Idk about you guys but I am an absolute sucker for stoic, strong, providing/protective, "macho-macho" male characters absolutely just breaking down when the going gets a bit too tough. Willing to shoulder any burden or battle scars if it means granting their loved ones' safety, but cracking when it gets too much, getting disheveled when things go wrong, when things are out of their control, when they've lost so much that they cannot hold it in anymore. They cannot continue being strong, at least just for now when they just need to decompress.

With that said, Arthur Morgan absolutely deserved to have a good cry. I'm upset he hasn't in the game, at least from what we have seen. Despite how strong and hardened this 36-year-old seasoned outlaw is, he is still a man - a good man at heart (at least in my canon as a High Honour truther).

There is no way he couldn’t have cried on the ship after watching his own father and mentee/lowkey-son-figure die right before his eyes. There is no way he couldn’t have cried when he failed his chance of running away with the love of his life whilst he still had the chance, and having to come to terms with the fact that the last memory she will hold of him will be him making another promise he couldn't keep + that the last piece of her he has left is her essentially writing him out of her life with no time or opportunity to explain. There is no way he couldn’t have cried when the fear of death/the fate that awaited him and his loved ones got too overwhelming for him. There is no way he couldn’t have cried when he started seeing both life and death differently after Sister Calderón's inspiring words in that train station.

He deserved to have a good cry. Arthur, a man living in the American 1890s where there was a certain expectation for men (outlaw or otherwise) to surpress any 'weak' emotion, finally admitting "I'm afraid" was one of the 'manliest' and most human moments we ever see him have, and it was so simple yet so beautiful. The man has been through so much pain as much as he has inflicted it - he deserves a hearty moment of release. To cry, to sob, to wail, whatever. He just needed that after everything.

Recently I been doing my exams ( which has been terrible) so I try the same tatic.

there are days in the dorms where shouta will come back after patrol bloodied and beaten without that little extra energy to take him to his and hizashi's room, so he crashes onto the sofa as soon as he walks through the doors because this smell, these sounds, they are safe.

morning will come with quiet conversations and muted tv. he gets such a bad adrenaline crash that hizashi has managed to bandage him and the kids have managed to wipe the blood and debris from his face and hair without him waking. when he wakes up he'll shower and go back to the dorms, he sees the look on the kids faces; no child should have to see the person they view as an unmovable pillar so bloodied and broken.

i dont care what ANYONE says, mel is the best autsitic representation ive seen as a main focus in a medical show yet (of course, that ive seen so far) … i see either infantilism or just spite filled hate but no one could ever convince me that she's bad rep !!! if it means anything, my emotional ass cant help but want to cry over all the things i see in her that i see in myself: the way she holds her hands, her quick and subtle speech, the little twitches of her face, the uncontrollable-subconscious-safe-person-application to langdon, her inability to entirely pick up on certain jokes because the environment that shes in doesn't necessarily provide the right context to know whether or not someone is kidding ,, !!! i love everything about mel down to her silly glasses and i wouldve killed to have seen a character like her as a child who wanted nothing more than to be a doctor whilst unsure if i could even handle it because of who i was

im so sick of seeing autistic characters in media not only being completely debilitated by their disorder but half of them all being copy and pastes of the same male character written by allistic writers and acted by allistic actors — to see genuine care and understanding from a show thats already reached a high following makes me so SO overjoyed because it provides a deeper dive into characters (and real people for that matter) who are on different levels of the autism spectrum, especially for autistic women and afabs

its such a breath of fresh air to see a character who does have ASD and is not completely defined by it, who is not presented in an absolute dependent and, honestly, "stupid" image — of course, this is never to downput those who are in need of social help — but just knowing that media, even if in just the smallest amounts, is learning and growing and no longer demonizing us is so relieving.

i really do hope that representation like this progresses because the best that can come out of it is acceptance from those who couldn't necessarily understand the ASD experience, but want to at least have some semblance of discernment
