my nail tech (35f we have been friends for like a decade on top of nail stuff) has started the last wish after MANY moons of like. the fourth wing and acotar and stuff. she asked for fantasy recs that had more worldbuilding and i was like sister do i have the thing for you as long as you're down to commit. and she was!! and i did not realize how insane hearing someone irl in the same room as me talking about duny and calanthe and strigas would make me feel. genuinely have not felt like that since i was doing hard drugs
#text#mine#I AM SO HAPPY#also she was like. REALLY struggling with the way the last wish is set up and i gave her the cheat codes to just start blood of elves.#she'll go back to the short stories because she really enjoyed the witcher and the lesser evil and a question of price#but i told her to just ummmm. move on to the sword of destiny and something more#she also looooves peter kenny's narration and i'm afraid it will ruin her for other narrators as it has me lmao

@xvnzhao . unprompted . rover & yao .
&& they told you he was dangerous — standing face to face with the tacet discord . . . her senses now quelled from overdrive , yet blade clutched tightly in hand as she and the other remained on the now barren grounds . she doesn't know WHO he is , she doesn't know why his FORM doesn't shake her core , she doesn't know what he is , nor where he came from . she's heard rumors and whispers . . . of fear and of disgust . but something about the figure before her tells her to WAIT and hear his tale . blade disintegrating , hands held out with her palms open , rover has learned from lingyang that not all is what it seems . jingle beast . . . memories . . . misunderstandings . . . forgotten tales . she's learned from lingyang that not all is what it seems . from beast ot imperfect human . from scar , she's learned that there are . . . things in solaris-iii and jinzhou that she has yet to unveil , hindered only by her missing memories . . . ❝ i mean you no harm , ❞ rover says , remaining where she stood , hands in surrender . . . open palm and lacking weapon . ❝ thank you . . . for helping me . . . ❞ she says , tone gentle and soft .
the flautist stares a little bit longer, or so he thinks before he realizes he's long since discard the form of his tacet discord; or rather, that his injury has made it impossible to keep that form after combat. he blinks, stares before he tilts his head to the side, blinks again. by now, usually he would have seen humans scatter - running in terror or looking at him in disgust before turning heel and fleeing the scene. he can't blame them. nobody wants to be near one of the monsters that threaten the daily existence of humanity. he would have taken no personal offense if this one had done the same.
instead, curiously enough, this one raises her hands as if she means no harm. even if she did, he would've simply fled himself without any intent of retaliation. he flusters for a moment, putting up his own hand as well before he lets them sink, expression morphing into one of neutral curiousity, perhaps even worry if one looked closely enough. he is a monster, or at least he gets called on. one with horns and sharp teeth and burning eyes that signify bad omens. and yet ... she treats him like yet another human. with kindness, as if he was an equal.
his voice is raspy from lack of use, distorted like a damaged record playing on two different tracks, yet even with the sound of it, his tone is soft, tired ... sincere.
❛ can't ... let people ... get hurt. ❜ he begins, voice straining from using it after an extended period of time where he hasn't. his expression shifts into a careful smile, stance relaxing as he winces at the wounds that have since begun healing on their own - yet like his form shifting remain painful in themself - as if he is not worried at all.
and truthfully he isn't, like a dog that had strayed without its master for a long time he trusts the first person that does not treat him with violence or anger. head still tilted as he looks at the woman curiously.
❛ you're ... strong ... i'm sure ... you ... could've done it ... without my ... help. ❜
he finishes before taking a short moment to almost gasp for air, as if speaking a single sentence slowly and with interruptions had taken all his effort. and it did, perhaps.

❝DOCTOR I CAN’T TELL IF I’M NOT ME.❞

୨⎯ ┊BATFAM X NEGLECTED!HEALER!READER ꒱
✰ ৎ──────SYPNOPSIS: all you ever wanted was a purpose. something that would give meaning to your existence, your power. healing others was the only thing that ever made you feel alive, needed… until you ended up in that awful place.
✰ ৎ────── masterlist. | next.

There is only one thing you ever truly wished for in this life: a purpose.
Something that would justify your existence, that would give meaning to every breath, every wound, every sleepless night.
And you found it. Not in an empty promise or in the affection of others. You found it in your own power.
A selfish desire, yes, but undeniably yours. A purpose born not out of love, but out of need.
From that strange power growing inside you, the one that forced you to look at others’ suffering with cold, almost cynical eyes. As if every wound were a problem only you could solve. As if every scream of pain were a prayer meant solely for you.
You clung to that.
To the idea that your worth existed only in your abilities.
The ability to stop someone from dying in front of you. To rip death from their body with your own hands. To stitch broken flesh with threads that hurt, yes, but worked. That was the only thing that ever made you feel alive. The only thing that ever made you feel alive, needed.
For a while, it was enough.
For a long while, you were selfish.
It didn’t matter if they used you. It didn’t matter if it hurt. If every healing left another scar on you. If every salvation cost you a little more of the little you had left.
As long as you could keep doing it—healing, fixing, protecting— the price didn’t matter.
Because at the end of the day, you could lie down on that mattress of emptiness and tell yourself: “Today, I made it worth it.”
Your existence and your power meant something.
Of course, you didn’t have a mother to share secrets with, nor guardians who offered you love. Only faces that came and went, and the bitter understanding that you were just another burden in a broken system.
Until, by some twisted stroke of fate, you had the “pleasure” of meeting your biological father.
Bruce Wayne.
Billionaire. Philanthropist. Playboy.
Batman.
Even so, none of that really mattered to you. What truly hit you was learning that you had to leave everything behind and go to Gotham.
That cursed city, that concrete jungle drowned in darkness and crime. Where dreams go to die and bodies, if they’re lucky, go to sleep.
Gotham wasn’t a home. It was a prison for someone like you.
A place where meta-humans like you were enemies, threats, problems to be contained.
Your power, your only purpose, was stripped away with nothing more than a change of zip code.
And that was the cruelest part of all.
Not being able to use it.
Not being able to save.
Not being able to be useful.
Your existence, reduced to ashes, like the bodies of those you didn’t reach in time.
It must be poetic, right? The healer who cannot heal. The savior without faith.
They hate you. You've felt it. That visceral resentment from those who survived because of you, but still blame you for what you couldn’t stop. Screams, stares, choked pleas— all of them pierced your soul deeper than any weapon ever could.
For someone who once swore to save lives, it’s only natural that those you vowed and wanted to save now express their utter disgust and despair toward the false, horrific salvation you once offered them.
And now? Now you live among strangers.
An immense mansion full of absences. With brothers who seemingly don’t recognize you, and a father who doesn’t see you.
Your arrival in Gotham wasn’t exactly ideal, at least, that’s how you think you remember it.
It’s hard for you to remember that moment. You don’t hold on to unnecessary memories… none of it will make you feel alive again.
Apparently, your new father figure has several children. Some of them are already adults. With lives of their own far from the mansion, you don’t know much about them, they were almost always too busy to say anything to you.
You can’t understand them, can’t they come up with better excuses? You don’t want these people’s attention.
These people can’t help you with your abilities. They can’t make you believe you’re still allowed to use them freely.
No, these people are just strangers who stumbled into your life overnight and want nothing to do with the problem. Not even your new father had the decency or responsibility to try forming a bond with you.
Bruce Wayne was an absent father. Not in the way someone leaves and disappears completely, but in the kind of absence that feels stronger the closer the person is. A hollow physical presence, like a ghost made of flesh and bone. One who could look you in the eyes and still not see you.
He struggled to communicate, to make time for you, to even remember that there was now one more occupied room in that massive mansion of his.
He doesn’t know how to deal with you, and you don’t know how to deal with him either. At first, you wondered if the problem was you. If you had done something wrong. If the way you talked, walked—even breathed, was so bothersome that he’d rather bury himself in work than give you an hour of his time.
But soon, you realized something even crueler: You don’t need a father. You’re not looking for one. You’re not waiting for one.
What you need is a patient. Someone you can heal. Someone who needs you.
Because that’s what you’ve always done. Heal. And Bruce… Bruce simply refuses to be healed.
But he doesn’t understand.
When you approach him, when you seek him out, when you try to speak to him, all he does is throw up a wall made of cold words, as practical and impersonal as that damn business suit of his.
“I’m busy.”
“Not now.”
“We’ll talk later.”
“It’s for work.”
Always the same. Always excuses with the bitter taste of indifference.
Is this what having a father is supposed to feel like? Because if it is, then it doesn’t feel any different from your days in foster care.
At least there, you knew you were alone. Here, they make you believe you’re not… but you are, more than ever.
You’ve learned to observe the details, as always. It’s one of the few things you’re good at, aside from using your power.
You notice the tired look in his eyes, the dark circles underneath, the way his fingers tense around his pen like he’s trying to crush it. The stack of papers on his desk never gets smaller, it’s like it multiplies just to keep you at a distance.
And the subtle changes… that lower tone in his voice when he sees you, like he can’t even be bothered to raise it for you. The way his eyebrows furrow, not out of anger, just… annoyance. Irritation.
That’s what hurt the most.
So you stopped trying. Because if you kept going, you were only going to be reprimanded by the one you were supposed to please. You convinced yourself that you don’t need his approval. That you don’t need his love. That you’re better off without him.
But then, why is it that every time you walk past his office, you pause for a second, hoping that door opens, just once, without you knocking first?
Why do you still need him to see you?
Richard Grayson is the eldest. The first adopted son of Bruce Wayne. Everyone sees him as a beacon of hope, the moral compass of this family made of shadows and scars. And it makes sense. He has that bright smile, that genuine warmth the others can barely fake. He gives out hugs without being asked, listens patiently, laughs easily, and has that absurd gift of making anyone feel seen, at least, if you’re one of his.
Because with you, it was always different.
From the beginning, Richard seemed kind. Seemed. But between that warmth and you, there was always a distance, like someone had drawn a curtain between the two of you. You heard his apologies more than you heard his actual voice.
“Sorry, I have to head out right now.”
“Sorry, I was already on my way to Blüdhaven.”
“Next time, I promise.”
He was always rushing. Always busy. Always somewhere else. And you… you’re not someone who believes in empty promises.
At first, you thought it was just bad luck. That maybe if you insisted a little, if you found an excuse, if you caught him in the kitchen, he might stay for five minutes. Just five. But those minutes never came. And you started to notice a pattern. How his demeanor shifted the moment you walked into the room. How his smile became more diplomatic. More rehearsed. How his footsteps sped up when he thought you weren’t watching.
You didn’t want to admit it at first, but something inside you began to whisper an uncomfortable truth; He was avoiding you.
And then you understood. If Richard Grayson, the kindest, the most human, the most "big brother" of them all, couldn’t be around you, then what was the point of trying with the others? What could you possibly expect from Jason, who barely speaks to you? From Tim, who seems more invested in his computer than in actual people? From Damian, who can barely tolerate his own shadow?
So you did the same.
You avoided them. One by one.
You decided it wasn’t worth it. That if you weren’t going to be a real part of this family, you weren’t going to pretend.
It’s easier that way. It doesn’t hurt as much if you’re the one walking away first.
But sometimes, when you see them laughing together from the staircase, or hear Richard speaking so fondly of the others, a part of you wonders if it was ever really your choice to walk away, or if they’d been leaving you behind from the very beginning.
Your suspicions didn’t take long to confirm. All it took was talking to a few of your supposed brothers to realize the pattern repeated itself.
Jason, Tim, Damian…
Each one was a story unto themselves. Each one was a maze of traumas, masks, and poorly calibrated emotional responses. But if you had to describe them in one word, it would be: inaccessible.
The second of your brothers was Jason, and from what little you could gather, because no one seemed eager to talk about it much, Jason had died. And then he came back. It wasn’t a metaphor. It wasn’t an exaggeration. He had been buried, and now he was not. That simple statement was enough to provoke a morbid curiosity, almost scientific. What had changed in his body? Did he suffer from partial necrosis? Brain damage? Did his muscles regenerate? What residual effects did resurrection have on human physiology? Everything in you screamed to investigate. To dissect. To understand.
It was a dangerous thought. You knew that. You repeated it to yourself like a mantra: too tempting for your own good.
But what confused you the most wasn’t his condition, it was his behavior toward you. Jason had this aura of latent violence, like dynamite that could explode with the wrong spark. But that wasn’t what kept you away. Not entirely. It was his inexplicable rejection.
You didn’t understand it. You didn’t provoke him. You didn’t talk to him, you didn’t interfere, you didn’t cross the line. And yet, his gaze was always sharp. As if your mere presence triggered something in him. Irritation. Annoyance. Maybe even disdain.
You wondered if it was your fault. If the way you were, the way you spoke, the way you were, simply bothered him. But you couldn’t find an answer. And though you wanted to, you knew that getting closer would be too risky.
Because you’ve seen the broken walls. The misaligned doors. The tables split in two like they were made of paper. You’ve felt the tension in the air when Jason enters a room and isn’t in the mood. And you know, without needing confirmation, that his punches aren’t soft. That his rage doesn’t distinguish between the guilty and the witnesses.
So, you avoid him.
Not out of fear exactly, but out of caution. Self-preservation. You don’t want to be the next crack in the walls of this house.
Tim was a different kind of strange. More than Jason, though in a completely different way. His oddity didn’t stem from aggression or visible trauma. It was more subtle. More internal.
Almost clinical.
You observed him, like you observe everything. With that gaze of yours that searches for patterns, inconsistencies, vulnerabilities. And in him, you found many.
Surprisingly, Tim was brilliant. Not just "smart for his age," but one of those cases where the brain moves faster than the body. Too fast. So much so, that sometimes it seemed like his body gave up halfway through.
The dark circles under his eyes were a constant. His responses were slow, as if they had to pass through a filter of a thousand thoughts before being verbalized. He walked like his mind was too heavy for his spine to carry. A shadow carrying ideas. You were surprised he hadn’t fainted yet from the combination of insomnia, chronic stress, and mild malnutrition.
No one asked you.
No one thanked you.
But still, you started leaving him food. Food that could sustain him without causing a stomach collapse. Nothing too obvious, of course. A yogurt here. Cut fruits there.
Something easy to eat between keystrokes. You allied yourself with Alfred in that small act of silent intervention. The old butler seemed to notice, but he never mentioned it. And you never confirmed it.
Tim would probably assume it was all Alfred’s doing. In fact, you counted on it.
Not because you wanted to keep it a secret. But because you knew that if he suspected you were behind something so... "thoughtful," it would only make him uncomfortable. He doesn’t know how to respond to care, to the intention behind such detail. Tim doesn’t know how to handle it if that sincere gesture comes from you.
Just like you would if any of them ever tried it with you.
Alfred... Alfred is a different matter.
Of all the people in the house, he’s the only one who acts like your existence isn’t a miscalculation. But he doesn’t fool himself. He doesn’t offer you love, or tenderness. He offers you structure. Routine. Measured phrases and cups of tea.
It’s not affection between you.
It’s a sort of tacit alliance.
Two functional people in the middle of a broken ecosystem.
You know he tries. But you also know it’s not enough for you.
You’ve seen children like you. In hospitals. In refugee camps. In temporary homes. Children who cling to an adult figure as if their life depended on it, and are then destroyed when that figure leaves. Or worse, when they stay but stop looking.
You don’t want that for yourself.
You convince yourself this is better. A working relationship. A dynamic where each one fulfills their role and no one crosses the line into the personal. Because if you get attached, if you let yourself believe this could mean something...
You know how that ends. They can’t give you what you’re looking for.
They can’t give you purpose.
They can’t return what was taken from you when you understood that your value only exists if you can heal, if you can serve, if you can be useful.
You still don’t know who you are when you’re none of that.
Back to the subject of your "family," the last on the list of who your siblings were, was Damian.
The youngest of the group. The second biological son of Bruce Wayne.
You said it out loud once, casually: "Ah, so he is the real one."
No one found it funny.
Unlike the others, Damian didn’t need time to show you that you weren’t welcome. He didn’t bother to fake courtesy or neutrality. From the beginning, he made it clear that your existence was expendable.
Maybe it was your silence. Maybe it was your lack of reaction to his provocations. Maybe he just didn’t like you. But he pointed his katana at you the first month you arrived.
The blade against your neck wasn’t a metaphor. It was real, cold, intimidating contact. You felt a thread of power activate instinctively in your body, a reflex of defense, of desperation. If you had let it go, well, you wouldn’t be here, mentally recalling this account.
You didn’t. Not for him. For you.
Because it wasn’t worth it. Because using your power on someone in your “family” would mean admitting they were important enough to hurt you.
They weren’t. Not yet.
You can’t risk being discovered. No one can know that you actually have this power. None of them can know.
Bruce appeared just in time to prevent the confrontation from escalating. Did he protect you? Not exactly. He simply said something like, “Damian has a complicated history,” as if that justified a death threat in the family kitchen.
Is it common in Gotham to justify a child’s homicidal impulses if they've had a difficult childhood?
That was your question. You didn’t ask it out loud. No one would have liked the answer.
It was also that day you found out that Damian was Bruce’s biological son. And you couldn’t help but think about the irony of it all.
The same Bruce Wayne who, in the public eye, was a scandalous figure, a charming, charismatic playboy billionaire with endless parties, had exactly one biological child. One. Not five. Not a legion of illegitimate children scattered across the world. Just one.
That kid turned out to be a ticking time bomb with a traditional sword.
Everything fit so perfectly wrong that it almost seemed planned.
With the girls, it's complicated. Maybe even more so because, deep down, a part of you thought they could be different.
Stephanie. She was like a female version of Richard, a constant smile, a vibrant energy that everyone seemed to adore, except you.
She greeted you with empty enthusiasm, one that never went beyond the surface. It was easy to see that behind her good mood, there was a locked door she wasn’t going to open for you.
And you understood. Because you'd seen it before.
People who act as if everyone is welcome, except you.
Stephanie was just another confirmation that no matter how hard you tried to fit in, this home was already full. You weren’t in the original plan. You never were.
Barbara, on the other hand, was simpler. She was hardly ever at the mansion. You’d see her sporadically, a red ghost in the shadows of fleeting visits. And still, in that limited time, she always found a way to smile at others, share a joke, a quick conversation, a knowing glance… Never with you.
Not once.
It was as if your presence went by unnoticed, not even worth including out of courtesy.
Cassandra was the most honest, in a way. She didn’t pretend. She didn’t smile. She didn’t speak.
She ignored your attempts to help with almost admirable efficiency. You could attribute it to her trauma, her history, her way of seeing the world… but that excuse starts to wear thin when it’s the only one left to justify everything.
Maybe you’re just not interesting. Maybe you don’t even stand out enough to be actively rejected.
Or is it because you don’t even deserve her attention?
It was easier to believe that they all had a reason not to see you.
Easier than admitting that maybe, you weren’t that hard to ignore.
What was dangerous about this family wasn’t the weapons, nor the katanas, nor the fists that had broken ribs more than once.
It was the mask.
It took you time to understand it. First, it was a hunch. Then a suspicion. Finally, a certainty: they were all vigilantes. Heroes of Gotham. The same ones who make your hands tremble when you try to use your power. The ones who make your gift feel useless. As if it were a mistake rather than a blessing.
The irony is so perfect it could almost make you laugh.
You can’t feel useful, can’t do the one thing you know how to do perfectly, because you’re surrounded by those who fight so that people and beings like you are neither necessary nor welcome.
And yet, you prefer them this way.
Cold. Distant. Detached. Unknown. Because connections are dangerous. Because memories weigh. Because at some point, someone taught you that affection is the hook that precedes the pain.
Because you know it better than anyone. When you get attached to someone, it’s not just pain that you feel when you lose them. It’s as if a part of you dies too. Not because you lose them, but because without your power, without that “usefulness,” you feel like you never deserved to have them in the first place.
In Gotham, you can’t do anything.
You can't heal.
You can't save.
You can't be useful.
You can't be loved. Or at least, that’s what they taught you to believe.
Here, you have no parts left that you can afford to lose. Not while you're trapped in this city that doesn’t need what you can give. A family that doesn't know what to do with you. You don’t know what to do with yourself either.
They can’t give you a purpose.
They never could.
They didn’t even try.
You expected so little, that not even that surprised you.
Until you found him.
The only living person who not only recognized your power, but accepted it for what you wanted it to be:
A miracle.
He called himself Doctor Masashi. A kind voice, a serene figure. But behind that calmness was surgical precision. He knew exactly how to shape you. How to rebuild you, only to destroy you again with elegance.
He was the only one who never lied to you about what you were:
A weapon.
A tool.
A precious jewel that only shines when it bleeds for others.
A perfect puppet.
And you, grateful for the strings.
He gave you direction when all you had was guilt.
He gave you structure when all you had was emptiness.
He gave you… meaning. A cruel meaning. A conditioned meaning. But still, you took it.
It can't be that bad, right?
Clinging to that.
Clinging to him.
Clinging to something that tells you that you can still be "something."
Because if someone, even just one person, can look at you and say that you are good for something, then you're not broken.
Then you're not alone. Then everything that hurt was worth it.
Even if guilt drowns you every night.
Even if the nightmares never rest.
Even if the hands you tried to save still drag you from their graves, begging for a second death.
It doesn't matter. As long as someone believes that keeping you alive makes sense... then that’s enough.
Right?
Maybe you're a weapon.
Maybe you're selfish.
Maybe you did it all just out of fear of disappearing, for that unbearable need to feel alive.
The need to feel that you matter. To have a place to fit in.
But at least you're something. In this shattered world, that's already more than many have.
But how much more can you take before you truly break? How much longer before you completely crumble, like so many times you did on the inside? How much will the price of his greed cost… and your desperate desire to remain useful?
Because in the end, it wasn't Bruce.
Nor your brothers.
Nor your sisters.
None of them ever knew who you were.
None of them understood.
Only him. Only Masashi.
That’s what scares you the most. Because if even he can make you believe that’s all you’re worth. If even he manages to make you cling to that idea, then maybe, you were never more than that.
Maybe you were never more than your power, and in Gotham, where you can no longer use it...
Not even that belongs to you.

Ghost thinks he's cracked the code when he gifts Johnny an ultra complicated lego set for Christmas. Something to keep his hands and mind busy for a while.
He's watching, with terror and awe as Soap burns through a 1000+ pieces in an hour, with half a bottle of whiskey in him - drinking more while he's at it. He smiles the whole way through, though - and Ghost gets a tipsy peck on his cheek. Which might or might not have made the whole endeavour worth it.
"Thought that might keep you busy a while longer." he admits later, when he's deep into his own cups.
"Ach, dinnae sound so disappointed Ghostie, not'ing in there tha' can explode. Can work fast and sloppy."
Ghost just spent an hour staring at Johnny's hands and the concentration painted on his face. He knows there was nothing sloppy about that assembly. But he has to admit that compared to Soap's usual jobs, this is bound to be rather calming.
His eyes meet Price's over in another corner of the room. And the message, conveyed by a single raised eyebrow is clear. Ghost is not to add explosives to any gifts, even if it would make Soap very happy.
So naturally the next time - at Johnny's birthday - he slaps down a timer and a fully assembled lego set.
"Better get it done in time Johnny. And no cheating."
The way Soap's face lights up at the implication that there might be a bomb in his birthday gift should be concerning. But all it does is make Ghost wish there actually were some.
Johnny is a good sport about properly disassembling the marzipan compromise inside though. And just to prove he can immediately rebuilds the legos into the other figure they can form - taking a shot every time he has to look at the manual.
And when he carries his way too drunk partner to bed, Ghost vows to apply for Christmas leave. Which is something he hasn't done since...well for a long, long time.
Johnny, being the man that he is, never questions why they are going to spend Christmas in the countryside. A small cottage barely worth the name, as far away from other people as you can get on the Isles.
He just takes the chance to kiss Ghost every chance he gets, enjoying the fact that their isolation means he's getting an unprecedented amount of mask-free Simon.
"Got a surprise for you out in the shed, sweetheart." Ghost whispers when he catches Soap from behind while the man is about to open a bottle.
"Sounds like what a serial killer would say to lure ye into the open."
Ghost decides not to ponder that. With the reality of their jobs that answer... more than he's willing to argue right now.
"Should wait with that until you've had the surprise." he says instead, gently taking the bottle from Soap. Who for the first time frowns.
Ghost relents and they bring the scotch to the shed.
When Soap sees what he cooked up, he whistles low, no need to confirm that what he's seeing is the real deal.
It has taken all of Ghost's knowledge about explosives to craft the abomination. The two lego sets combined with a new third one, 6 sets of cables - all the same colour, and of course a live charge inside.
Johnny goes all still. Stalks closer like he's trying to get the drop on the inanimate object.
Watches it from all sides before turning to Ghost, "Do Ah need to follow protocol?"
His voice clearly tells him he hopes he does not have to. Ghost once again feels vindicated in his choice to move them out here, just pressing the bottle back into Soap's hand with a smile.
If this is what takes them both out then it's already worth it for the unhinged grin it gets him. Johnny's feral joy is infectious, and when he finally steps away raising his hands like he's expecting a crowd to cheer, Ghost honestly couldn't tell you how much time had passed.
He doesn't get a chance to ponder it either because the next second he's tackled by a full grown Scot with a half empty bottle of scotch in his hand and taken clean of his feet.
And if he hadn't already convinced this had been worth it, then the way Johnny makes sure to say thank you certainly is.
They do not make it back to the cottage for a good long while.
(This whole thing was inspired by my dear beloved @dismightyman who's singlehandedly holding it down in the Ghoap trenches with me)

Piece of you- L.MN
SURPRISE!! Today is a triple special day for me, so let's get started
First of all, it's my babygirl @sweetlifeofjoy 's bday!! Happy birthday, Nari! I hope you have a wonderful day, surrounded by those you love and I wish a lot of happiness 😊 And thanks for making my day a lot funnier whenever we talk... or flirt haha
Now, the second thing I wanna celebrate, it's Minho's debut on this blog yay! I tried to make something very Lee Know coded here, I guess it's giving off his vibes. I hope you all like it
And last but not least, I want to celebrate the 700 of us. I didn't even have time to thank you for 600 so consider that a combo. I am really really grateful for each one of you. Really. You make my little heart very happy 💜🤭
Word count: 1.0k

Alexa, play Ink by Coldplay

Minho had been gone less than a day when you found the first note.
It was tucked beneath your toothbrush, folded into a tiny triangle with a doodle on the front— a cat version of him, with exaggerated pouty lips and two big bright eyes that he asked Hyunjin to sketch. Underneath, in his unmistakable handwriting, it said:
“Miss me yet?”
You laughed, even if your chest ached a little. Opening it, you could listen to his voice in the ink.
“Brush your teeth, sleepyhead. I’m not there to kiss you good morning, but I still expect fresh breath when I call”.
You stood there for a long moment, grinning down at the paper, toothbrush forgotten.
The next one showed up that afternoon, in the hoodie you stole from his wardrobe. You slipped your hand into the front pocket and felt it— another folded piece of paper. This one had small hearts all over it and a simple message:
“Wear this one often. It smells like me. I gave it a final hug before I left. You're welcome”
You giggled, hugging the hoodie tighter.
Minho had always been the quiet type when it came to words, more teasing than tender, but it felt like he had left tiny pieces of himself all over the apartment just to keep you company.
Every day you found a new one. One was taped to the coffee jar:
“Drink water too. No, coffee doesn’t count. Neither does bubble tea. I'm watching you”
Another slid out from between your laptop screen and keyboard:
“Take breaks. Don’t sit there for six hours straight or I will find out”
And then there was the one beneath his favorite mug:
“Play our playlist. Skip the sad ones unless you’re missing me a lot. If you do listen to them, please don’t cry while holding my mug. It’s bad for the aesthetic”.
They were scattered everywhere— beneath your pillow, taped to the ice cream lid in the freezer, inside the pages of your current book. Each one perfectly timed, each one so Minho.
One, though, made you stop in your tracks and cackle like a hyena. It was taped to the front of the air fryer, written in red ink:
“I SWEAR TO GOD if you break my air fryer while I’m gone, I will haunt you. Not gently. I’m talking about flickering lights and mysterious cat hair in your cereal”
And then, like the cherry on top, a tiny postscript:
“(Miss you though. Please eat something that isn’t chips)”
You shook your head, grinning like an idiot. Only Lee Minho could threaten you with ghostly vengeance and still make your heart flutter.
Another note had been left on the windowsill where the cats loved to take a nap. This one was softer, written with a little paw print doodle in the back:
“Tell Soonie he’s in charge. Doongie gets extra head kisses. And Dori… can’t be trusted, so watch him”
“If they look at you dramatically and cry like they’re starving, remember: they are liars. Do not fall for it. But also… maybe give them a snack anyway”
“If they sit on your lap, don’t you dare move. I don’t care if your leg goes numb. That’s the price of love”
“PS: If you fall asleep with them like that… just know I’m gonna be insanely jealous. But also please take a picture so I can melt over it for five minutes and then pretend I’m not crying in the tour van”
You were crying laughing by the end of that one.
Each note was like a breadcrumb trail leading you right back to him, even while he was miles away.
But the note that made you sit down and press a hand to your chest, was under his pillow.
You only found it on the third day. You weren’t even looking, you were just making the bed out of habit, and there it was— thicker than the rest.
You sat on the bed and unfolded it slowly, heart stuttering.
“This one’s for the nights that feel heavy”
“You don’t have to be okay just because I’m not there to see it. I know you’re strong, but I also know you. So cry if you need to. Eat ice cream for dinner. Watch that movie we’ve seen a hundred times”
“Then call me in the morning. I’ll listen to every word. You don’t have to do this alone. You never have to”
By the time Minho called you that night, the notes were lined up across the wall, like a paper mosaic.
He appeared on your phone screen, hair damp from shower
“Wow”, he said when he saw the background, “I didn’t think you’d actually keep them”
You rolled your eyes, pulling the hoodie tighter around you. “Shut up, you wrote them! You thought I’d read them and toss them in the trash?”
“I mean, yeah”, he said, “That’s what you do with my texts”
“I react with a heart to them!”
Minho looked at you, inexpressible
“You reacted with a heart to ‘did you eat?’ like it was a love confession”
You bit back a grin, “Wasn’t it?”
He paused, pretending to think, then nodded. “Well, you are right. I’m very romantic”
You laugh softly before confessing, “Damn, I miss you”
“Yeah”, he said, rubbing the towel over his hair, “If I were you, I’d miss me too”.
You let out a loud, theatrical gasp and flopped dramatically back onto the bed like you’d just been betrayed.
“I can’t believe this! I’m dating a menace. An actual menace”
He blinked at the screen, “You’re so dramatic”
“You’re not even pretending to miss me!”
Minho shook his head in disbelief, “You’re wearing my hoodie, laying on my pillow, surrounded by my notes and you’re gonna sit there and act like I don’t miss you?”
You were still pouting
He rolled his eyes
“I miss you so much it's annoying” he said, “Happy now?”
“No! You said it was annoying!”
“Because I’m annoyed at myself, he grumbled, “For being this whipped”
You grinned.
“Say it again”
“No”
“Say it!”
Minho sighed like he felt physical pain
“I miss you”, he muttered, “More than the cats. But don't tell them that”
You melted instantly.
“See?” You are romantic indeed”
He huffed, but his smile lasted— warm, bright and entirely yours.
If you enjoyed it please consider liking and reblogging. Feedbacks, loves notes and requests are very much appreciated 😊

Crush (ing)
Summary: Where Ghost goes a little too rough on you in training then makes up for it.
5k+ ish words │ Ghost (Simon Riley) x Y/N
A/N: Angst with a smutty happy ending. Times are weird now, so I'm back to writing again. You know the drill, no proofread found here
-----
Part 1
It was merely a crush, you realized. It must be. Otherwise, you would have to not have sex again with Simon.
Because there was no way in hell a man like that would let himself be roped in into a relationship, and a relationship with you at that. You were sure he hated you, going by his nonchalant treatment when he wasn’t in your bed.
There, another example. You haven’t even been to his room, which going by his arrogant attitude must be annoyingly spotless.
You hated him, or at least you wished that saying it would make it better for your sanity. Because this was Simon.
The first time you slept together happened in France, and it was not gentle. Well, you didn’t really expect any special treatment as a lover, but it wasn’t exactly a tender moment, more of a “blowing some steam” sort of thing. A ‘high-school make out session’ sort of a thing, or so you repeated in your head whenever his name came up in conversation.
It’s not to say that it wasn’t enjoyable, but only a representation of the tone of your weird situationship. And you were fully sure that this was Johnny’s fault somehow.
“But he likes you, lass. That’s why he’s a pain.” He said, as if there was no doubt about it.
You scoffed at that. Unfortunately, he wasn’t the only one who thought so.
Your aching shoulder, after sparring got out hand, made you believe otherwise.
Now, Johnny said something about hanging out for drinks with some locals. The mission in Serbia took a pause on the wait for new intel, so as consequence your unit had a free week out of uniform. This meant more time with your team outside of work, and that meant that you and Ghost were at each other’s throats. Mostly you since his sunken eyes behind the sockets of his skullmask barely moved when you made jabs at him.
Then he stared and stared, a blank look threatening you into a near sycosis. Why couldn’t he just be normal and answer without underestimating you?
And one night there was a local event, promising alcohol and a good time. It was dark already, but the people there were lively, enjoying food and from far away, you could hear music and dancing. You couldn’t wait to try and merge with the crowd, maybe flirt a little with a cute local. And you thought you looked lovely, really good going by the way some of the soldiers ogled you. It must be due to you being one of the only females in the base, but it wasn’t harming your ego.
Johnny whistled when you met at the entrance, drawing attention to you in civilian clothes. You think they hadn’t seen you off your gear yet, and it must be shocking to see you in a normal long maxi skirt mapping the curves of your hips, a dark top and a fashionable coat, just as dark of course. You looked like a killer with your dark makeup and hair down for the first time in a while, sparkling earrings catching in moonlight.
“Little lady, are ya lost?” He whistled again, making you hurry your pace to shut him up. There was a diminutive pause with hesitation at seeing Ghost in the driver seat after Johnny moved away from the window.
He looked at you, eyes trailing leisurely from your toes to your eyes. You wiggled your white-painted toes in your wedges at the pinning stare. It was a pain smuggling nail polish in missions, but his ongoing stare made it worth it. They might not be up to code, but you didn’t really care. He blinked slowly as his fingers lightly rapped against the steering wheel in what you thought to be annoyance.
“Are ya coming?” The brute asked, still bitter by your word ping-pong match in Price’s office. You certainly had won because you believed yourself capable of acting as a secret spy inside a mob dead set on selling plutonium as a business. Yeah, they were a little out of their heads, but really talented at hiding, so here you were, stuck in Serbia. Ghost clearly thought you weren’t good enough of a liar to gather intelligence, or so he implied, but you knew it was because he didn’t believe you weren’t good enough overall.
Your past scuffles where Ghost was the opponent, pinning you down on the mat, were proof enough. This was the military, you weren’t allowed to make it personal, but when he bested you and made sure to show you your faults with overtraining you… His strict treatment with you hadn’t gone unnoticed by others and, well, let’s say that you weren’t feeling rational about it.
To your annoyance he got out of the car, and for a second you expected him to fight you again, maybe prevent you from getting into the backseat with brute force. Would he say that you weren’t allowed to drink or have fun? Would your mistakes make him order you back to the gym instead of a night of fun?
None of the scenarios circulating in your head happened. Instead, he leaned sideways and opened the door. You stood still as he waited at your gaping. Then, obviating your embarrassment, you closed your mouth and got in at the rise of an eyebrow behind his mask. None of you mentioned anything at his action, one that you found odd. Maybe he did it as a power move? Or maybe he did it only for the shock factor to keep you on your toes?
Sitting at the back, immersing yourself in your distrust, you kept making eye contact with Ghost through the rearview mirror. Not on purpose, but he did nothing to turn his eyes away, only to drive, and sometimes you swore he couldn’t keep his eyes off you.
But you kept fighting with facts versus what you wanted. Did you want him to seek you, look at you and only you? Your last argument kept circulating in your thoughts. Whenever he looked at you, pain followed.
So, he steered the rented car in silence, Johnny making conversation with himself. Ghost found parking nearby inside the city, near the pubs, and yet the car was left hidden in another block. Yeah right… it was the car that would draw attention, not the hulk-of-a-man wearing a balaclava in public.
And it was sort of inevitable the way your gaze would keep drawing back to the blonde near-white lashes free of dark paint or the sharpness of his jawline as he rumbled out another one of his jokes to Johnny. The lack of skull mask allowed you to obsess, no, notice the details. Yes, notice.
And he still had a balaclava. You felt like you were going insane in your ruminating and in your shame for sleeping with someone that didn’t find you worthy enough to show their face.
The guys flocked around you as you headed into the first club with music you could understand.
After a while, you realized you shouldn’t have dared to defy a Scotsman in a drinking game. Johnny was fully sober and you were giggly at your third drink. You were drawn to the dance floor and the bar behind it, or at least a moment for yourself. A fourth drink didn’t sound so bad, you mused as you planned how to get out of the booth. You were fidgeting in the middle, Johnny on one side, Ghost on the other. Gaz was supposedly on his way, something about needing more time to get dressed. As if. He probably knew this night would be boring and would never arrive.
“Excuse me, scoot” you said, nodding at Johnny to move so you could get out. He huffed and practically ignored you with a teasing grin as he kept ‘scoping the perimeter’ or whatever that meant. “Johnny, let me out. I have to pee.”
“So? If you leave, who’ll be my wingwoman?”
“Certainly not me. Ghost?”
“Not moving.”
You looked at the two, noticing that Johnny was leaning forward on the table, and Ghost wasn’t. Hoping that the shock factor would stave away the complaints, you swung your leg over Ghost’s hips, landing on your knee at his side. The skirt rode up to your knees as you stared him down, stumbling at your sloshed state. You expected to climb away quickly, but before you could escape into the booming music, solid hands tightened themselves over your hips. You swayed as you lost your momentum, hitting your lower back on the edge of the table, empty glasses clinking.
You hissed at the pain, the bruises on your back tender from yesterday’s training stung as your hands grasped his shoulders for stability. One of his palms quickly spread on your lower back, preventing more accidents. Your lips clamped at the pain. His head was almost at your height, despite you being over him, a few inches up on your knees, spread over his thighs.
Dark eyes stared at you through his mask, but you could clearly make out a risen eyebrow in amusement. That little shit always found a way to get a rise out of you.
“Easy, doll. You should’ve just asked,” he rumbled lowly, barely heard through the music.
“Woah,” Soap added to your embarrassment.
“None of you would move, now let me off,” you didn’t wait for his permission and swung your other leg away, paving your way to freedom away from those steady hands. There was no way you could feel his warmth through all your layers beneath the skirt, but the shape of his fingertips still ghosted over your hips. Fighting the urge to look back, you walked away with flaming cheeks, and hurriedly headed directly to the bar. Well, more like swayed to the bar as embarrassment sunk in slowly in your drunken state.
It was almost as if he was completely unbothered by your presence whilst the mere thought of that skull mask made your logic haywire, aggression being an immediate outlet. You certainly needed that drink, or anything as a distraction, but the bar was unreachable. The hoard of people flaying their limbs to the deep base reverberating through your form didn’t allow you a direct way, so you tried to push yourself through the sides of the crowd. Even being half-way there, you saw that getting that drink would be a pain, the barstools fully occupied, a line of people trying to get the overworked bartender’s attention.
You sighed, knowing that you would have to wait for that reprieve for more than an hour, going by how slow the line was moving. After someone bumped into your sore shoulder, an answer to your question came in the form of the red sign of Exit behind you. Maybe you wouldn’t get a drink, but fresh air might help stave away the recurring memory of the shape of Ghost’s palms on you. The fact that you kept thinking about it made you want to punch something… Fresh air it is. Without looking back, you went outside into a back alley, the cold air helping you sober up enough to not stumble through the horde of smokers blocking the entrance.
What was this bar selling that was so full? You cursed lowly, knowing that your much needed moment of peace would have to wait some more. The thought of calling for a Taxi back to base crossed your mind, your annoyance slowly rising. Unfortunately, you left your purse behind with the other two, your bra carrying the only cash you had in the currency, enough for that one drink you kept dreaming about.
With arms crossed around you, you set your pride aside and found a dark corner to sit in, the lights and the music far away. A little misplaced wooden crate allowed you to take the weight off your feet, far enough to hide you from the locals chatting away over cigarettes. You weren’t as vigilant as your usual self, knowing that with your combat training, you were the most dangerous person amongst them.
With that in mind and at the relief of momentary silence, you closed your eyes, fingertips massaging your temples. Maybe it had been a blessing in disguise that you couldn’t get that drink. You had been bunking with another soldier in the common barracks, the cafeteria was always busy, your itinerary was filled with missions, training, discussing intel, fighting with Ghost and being subjected to horrible jokes and prompts from your peers. This had been the only moment you’ve been alone, you realized.
Peace was broken as you opened your eyes, military boots standing inches away from you. You scolded yourself for recognizing them immediately, not an ounce of you distinguishing him as enemy. Was it normal to even find annoying how silent he was when walking? You should’ve seen him coming.
“Didn’t take you for a smoker,” Ghost said, already knowing that you weren’t. You knew that to your core. He was too observant and too vigilant for his own good, or for your sanity.
“I’m not. Where’s Johnny?” You looked up, craning your neck upwards. The mass of him blended with the darkness of the sky behind him. You could only make out his eyes out of the balaclava.
“Inside,” He looked down on you and you debated if your pride was enough to make you stand up. Even if it was impossible, you wanted to be enough to stand at his height, for him to recognize you at something as your equal. He better walk away before you start spewing truths that would only confess your drunken self.
“And what are you doing here?”
“Checking up on you.”
You held in the scoff, rolling your eyes with closed lids. You waved him away, going back to massaging your temples. “You can tell Johnny I’m fine. Just getting some fresh air.”
He looked sideways momentarily, eyeing the smokers nearby, then returned to pin you down with the heaviness of his gaze.
“You’re hiding,” he said with no question in his statement, head tilting sideways with curiosity.
“No-“
“Away from me,” he rumbled deeply, almost to himself. “It seems we are at an impasse.”
“I’m not doing this right now. Whatever you want to talk about, will be at base with a superior present,” you glared upwards as he eyed the hands now in tight fists on your lap. He knew you were clearly referring to Price, who abided to the bureaucratic process despite his favoritism for his favorite killer. That killer wasn’t you obviously.
You were considered too sentimental, as if that was another flaw.
After a beat, he opened his mouth solely to aggravate you, you were sure. “Said superior suggested we resolve our issues outside of work.”
The comment felt like a mockery. “And this is out of work, right? Get a few drinks in the girl, lower her defenses… and just talk.”
He hummed, a sound you felt in the hollow of your chest. It was almost as if you couldn’t help but react to his every word as an insult. The resentment you held for him always made you wonder that maybe, if you hadn’t felt like proving something to him, you would’ve stayed as a mediocre soldier. That his tough lessons and obvious disdain were meant due to something greater. You wanted to be grateful, to see the good outcome of the estranged liaison you have with one of your superiors, but it was draining enough to know that all effort would go to waste.
“I’ll let them know you were not reciprocating, up to resolve our issues,” he answered with finality, knowing that his flat tone would make you take the bait. He didn’t even blink at your scoff, your eyebrows furrowing at your irritation, him knowing too easily how to get a reaction out of you.
“Issues?” You stood up shakily, leaning your weight on the wall behind you. “Why don’t you tell me what our issues are, Lieutenant?”
In a moment of bravery, you stood on the crate. Even with the added height, the top of your head didn’t even reach his clavicle.
“You’re angry.” He crossed his arms uncharacteristically, biceps bulging at the tension. His eyes roved up and down, as if searching for a clue as to what had you so mad. And in something similar to a question, he added, “At me.”
Furious, but you didn’t correct him. You crossed your arms to imitate his pose, incredulous at the obvious statement. This time you used his tactic and stayed silent as an answer, opting for him to fill in the conversation.
“Tell me why,” he demanded gruffly.
“Don’t tell me what to do!” He couldn’t just interrupt your me-time and start demanding answers out of you, you convinced yourself. You knew you were being difficult, but at this moment, this was merely deflecting. There was no way you would confess your insecurities upon his demands, as if the outcome were to be an improvement.
It was his turn to tilt his eyes up to the sky, seeking answers as he sighed in exasperation. In a second after contemplating, he let his guard down so plainly, you stood shocked and deadly still at his stance. What was this? His shoulders relaxed, arms resting down by his side, eyes beseeching to answer. A clear posture open to you. “I can’t fix something if I don’t know what’s wrong, sweetheart.”
The endearment and the sincerity in his eyes caught you off guard. You blinked, eyes wide open, ignoring the surprise of the coiling heat stirring near your thighs.
Then he went on to call your call sign, spurring you to blurt out the first thing that came to mind.
“You’re mean to me,” You lowered your arms to your sides like him.
You felt like a child, whining, and impossibly allocating a responsibility that didn’t belong to him.
He lowered his chin in disbelief. “You’re… mad at me because I’m mean.”
His complete disregard made you do the exact thing you wanted to avoid. Spill.
“Just mean? No,” Your fury got the best of you, “You know exactly what I’m talking about!”
His eyes widened for the first time, your outburst uncharacteristic, even for your short temper.
“If this is about that night-“
“You don’t treat me like the others. Even before that night.” You interrupted him, emphasizing what he implied, but felt hysterical at his clear misunderstanding. “You punish me for things that are not my fault. After we spar, I hide bruises because my superior can’t get over himself, but because its my job, I have to pretend its normal, like its professional. And then I’m the weak one? When others don’t have to take your beatings because…because… I don’t know why!”
“Sparring can be violent,” he justified, but to you, he didn’t sound so sure of himself.
“Violent?” You said, nearly shouting. “Violent?!” Ignoring the stiffness of your shoulders and the cold of the Serbian night, you shook of your coat. It was the first time he’d seen more of your skin, your uniform tended to provide full coverage. Even that night was fast and rough, but not unclothed.
He said nothing, his eyes wide at the purple imprints of his fists beneath the thin straps. You knew he could see, even in the dimmed light, how the bruises trailed down your shoulders. He must’ve known they would paint your arms as well, but you hadn’t shed your coat completely. You dared to believe he looked at you in horror, but your feelings bled over the dark alleyway against your better judgment.
“You set impossible expectations in our missions, in drills, and then you act like I’m some sort of failure when I can’t… I’m good at what I do. I do what I’m supposed to do, which is follow orders, swallow my pride, be a good soldier. And then you looked for me to get in my bed, and then nothing from you. So, I did what was expected, I stayed quiet. Isn’t that what you wanted?”
He stared and stared, reclamations going over his head as his eyes trailed the rest of your body with furrowed eyebrows. Alarmed. It was the most expressive you’ve seen him. No balaclava could hide the tension that held him upright.
“And then you ask Price to keep me off the next mission, after I keep proving that I’m capable. What else do you want from me?”
For the first time in a long time, he had no sass, no jokes, no answer for what he’d done.
“Y/N… I-“ He choked.
“I’m asking Price to change units. This will be my las mission with 141,” This time, he looked like he wanted to say something, but you were done with his excuses. “I’m done with your disrespect and your justified violence.”
You threw the word back at his face, Ghost tense and quiet.
“Y/N?” Someone asked from the exit. As your head snapped towards the voice, you hastily put your coat on, covering your shoulders immediately.
Johnny clutched your purse, eyes roving over your face and red rimmed eyes. The hesitance to look at your body let you know he had seen enough. Blue eyes kept jumping from Ghost to you, back and forth connecting the dots. “Is everything alright?”
“Yeah, just tired. Heading back to base,” You stepped down the crate, Ghost taking a sudden step back, as if you’d burned him. He officially wanted nothing to do with you.
“I will take you,” Johnny offered, gently and uncharacteristic, raising an arm to put over your shoulders in comfort, but let it fall as if he thought it over. In a second, he turned with an expectant palm towards Ghost. “Keys.”
He didn’t ask, he demanded. And Ghost, the good soldier he was, followed orders.
“The Lieutenant will take a cab.”
The Lieutenant didn’t argue.
--
The ride was tense, Johnny flickering glances at your silent state. As you stared blankly at the windshield, he hid his anger under his worry.
“Do you… should you talk to someone?” Johnny asked tentatively, indicating that maybe someone of a higher ranking should get involved.
“No,” you answered, finality in your tone.
You opened the door hastily when you arrived, avoiding any opportunity for him to ask more questions.
You had done enough talking for the night.
--
Thankfully, the common barracks were empty. But as you sat on the lower bunk bed, you felt a note crumble beneath your weight.
You stared at nothing in the dark, exhausted, taking deep breaths for a few minutes before you had to read, dreading another mission or another memo at your impertinence.
After gaining courage, the light post by the window allowed you to read that the note was a relocation to another bed.
--
The private room was yours, just like the private bathroom and the queen-sized bed. It was a slight gratification after everything that transpired a few hours ago.
And it was in another hall from your unit, further away from Ghost’s own private bedroom.
You didn’t want to think about him anymore this night, you thought as the nearly boiling water cascaded down your back.
As you scrubbed yourself clean, you reminded yourself that you needed to thank Johnny, he must’ve had to pull some impossible strings to find you a private bedroom amongst the fully occupied base.
In secret, inside of your new bedroom, you finally allowed yourself to cry.

Logan doesn’t slap his tip against your cheek more than a quick initial love tap (if a tight awkward handshake from a man decades older than you was a sexual act) but he loves to force your head against his crotch and really massage it into your skin. His other hand holds his dick like he’s aiming to piss, a slight scowl twisting his lips because he’s trying to concentrate. His cigar hangs out of his mouth and his bulky hips swivel as he grinds his precum into your face, cheeks, around your eyes, lips, check check check.
He doesn’t even necessarily want you to suck him off that bad and he’s not even trying to cum. orgasming is a slower pursuit for him these days anyway. He just wants to dirty his puppy up a little, enrichment and whatever the fuck. Maybe you can make a game of trying to catch the salty droplets on your tongue, see if you can spot them when they’re about to gush out and trickle down.
An activity can both be a perverted parlor trick and a form of indulgent self care that trivial things like ice rollers or under eye patches couldn’t replace.
“There we go, atta puppy.” Logan chuckles and ruffles your hair when you manage to lick away a bead of precum before it can drip down out of your reach.
“Daddy, don’t tease. ‘m trying to focus, that’s rude.” You give him a good shake, smiling wildly.
You’re already drunk and loopy just huffing the pure musk emanating from his uncut cock. You hum as the salty tang of his juices taint your tastebuds, luxuriating in the aftertaste like you were chowing down on a dainty macarron. He doesn’t really believe in eating or drinking anything special to make his crotch and the things it produces taste better. You couldn’t be more happy about that, the whiskey sour twang riding on the flavor notes were much more preferable than some biblical concoction of milk and honey. If only it was more acidic, that way it could burn a hole through your tongue and your cervix. Marking you so thoroughly from the deepest parts of your soul, you’d always be empty and every pang of pain would call for the man that caused it to soothe your burns with his saliva.
Intimacy with Logan feels like you’re reconnecting in whatever version of the garden of Eden can exist on Earth. Why can’t it be here? With you on your knees so close to barking into the skin of your old man’s cock, a fancy cushion settled under you with little golden tassels hanging off the corners. You are always so willing to be the best you can be for him, but he’ll never allow your service to come at the price of individual pain. Your eyes flutter and you take one of your many breaks to plunge your nostrils into his thick bush.
Wooden and spicy, your favorite perfume that is undeniably raunchy yet sensuous and romantic. Natural. You never thought you could be so in love with how a man’s pubes smell, but you can’t say that you thought that any part of this would have become your life’s purpose in more ways than not. Logan chuckles and pats your cheek, enamored with how clearly you seem to be enjoying suffocating yourself in his groin. He sharply inhales through his nose when you move up to trail your tongue along his happy trail, lapping at the thinner hairs because you adore each one just as much as every part of him.
“Bet you wish you could live off my dick, don’t ya, bunny?”
Of course you nod and moan as you let yourself be pulled back to where you’re supposed to be, the mothership calls you home and you answer happily with your phantom tail wagging all the way.
You pant, digging your nose bridge into the crease where his hip bleeds into his inner thigh, “Mmfh- hah… tastes good, Daddy. I could die here…”
You wanted to cut your voice break of ‘Daddy’ short, but you haven’t arrived at that particular station in your subconscious to shed your skin entirely. You’re having trouble forming a coherent line of thought and finishing your sentences now, but you feel sheepish about how easily he can box you into going nonverbal, so you clamor to stay afloat.
You forget that Logan knows your game by now, every step and caveat and every miniscule and complicated rule. It’s cute how you’re still ashamed of letting your dear old dad see you in all of your bunny-puppy-deer-kitty pet glory, when he clocked that shit the minute your shaky eyes fixated on his truck’s glove box rather than make a second of eye contact with him. You’re fucked up, there’s something fractured deeper in you that you keep under a diary shaped lock and key, but all these jagged edges have bows teetering on their precipices.
You’ve let him put them there, with a fond eyeroll and heaps of head pats. Thank your lucky stars that there’s something fucked up with his psyche too, buried under all his other baggage, because that first ride home with you didn’t end in tears and your nipples caught in his canines. You got to be a bunny settling down in their deserved cozy den instead of a rabbit relying on their prey instincts to throw the predator chasing them off their twitching fuzzy cotton tail.
You don’t get to hide and shrink in yourself. Not when the curled up needy angel hidden under the layers of you makes his jaw ache so ferociously that it’s borderline bestial.
Baby, you’ve gotta know that if he could, he’d pick you up with his teeth by your scruff so your feet would never have to touch the ground and grow ripe with callouses.
He takes a puff from his cigar and shakes the excess ash over your shoulder, out of your view because he also knows that you’d try to swallow the unhealthy specks down too. It’s a constant thing on his mind, the never ending job of pulling your leash enough to wean you off of engulfing whatever weird shit into your mouth you can see out of the corner of your eye. And if it comes from him or was in contact with him? Hell, the stuff might as well be damn catnip to you.
He thinks he feels the same way about you, that’s what he gets for being stupid enough to have an inch of his heart unguarded. You found a way and wormed your way through his arteries, and now he’d rather go sober cold turkey than let you squirm away. Which is what you try to do by pulling back and settling soft hands on his hairy and beefy thighs.
He’s got you hook, line, and sinker when he clasps a burly hand around the base of his thick cock in the poor imitation of a knot. He even squeezes in short pulses, bringing to mind what it would look like swelling up and pumping you full of potent cum. Breeding you with all the love of a man who wants more of you in the world because that might make him believe in it again. He wags his length in his hand to you, wordlessly offering you your favorite snack because you’ve been so very good for your old man.
“Come on, hun, want your treat? I know my puppy wants this big dick in their cute fuckin’ mouth.” He grumbles, stubbing his cigar out on his arms without even flinching or gritting his teeth and tossing it on the floor.
The burn’s already healed by the time you’ve gotten yourself and obediently let your tongue hang out of your mouth. He grunts, pleased, and dabs his sticky tip on the center of your tongue. It gives you the taste you crave while simultaneously depriving you of having your mouth filled like you desperately need to be able to get through the day.
You whine, Logan’s lips split on a wry smile but he doesn’t laugh this time. Nah, he’s too busy feeding his throbbing cock into your mouth, cutting off your whining and reducing a thunderous sound to a muffled crack of lightning.
“Theeeeeeeeere we go, kiddo, relax.” He says a few inches in, because your gag reflex is already tickling the back of your throat.
You breathe through your nose and distract yourself by playing with the hairs on his legs, drawing little hearts and stars as you take more of his length. Tears well up in your pitiful eyes but you brave through it. They eventually bubble over as your lips are forced to stretch, but Logan’s rough thumb dutifully wipes them away just like how you’d attentively cleaned his tip.
His head falls back with a slight crack and his sweaty pecs heave, “Drank a whole lot for you today, ‘m all nice and backed up just waitin’ for a pretty lil’ thing to relieve myself with.”
Suddenly you’re a bunny hopping off on a mission, no god could pull you off of Logan’s musky cock as you swallow around him. You don’t really feel like bobbing your head and humming today, you’re tuckered out from how late he kept you up late last night. He’s not going to just fuck your mouth without being asked, as much as he cares about you, you’re impossibly cute when you’re forced to do the tiniest bit of work.
If your mouth wasn’t so stuffed full of dick you’d pout, and the raised eyebrow Logan gives you means he knows that. You’re a good pet though, so you work yourself off of his length, take a deep breath, and immediately slide back down to the hilt. His full balls press against your chin and you rub the heavy sacks with both hands.
“Oh, fuck.” Logan groans, his fingernails dig into your scalp like he’s the one that needs to stay grounded. “Your gonna make your old man jizz his pants too quick if you keep fuckin’ playin’ with my balls like that.”
You don’t mind that at all, but there's still something else you’re after. You didn’t think much of how many bottles of water and glasses of alcohol he had thrown back today, maybe it was some sort of mutant thing that you just didn’t understand. Super dehydration or whatever, but the fact that he had been preparing a little surprise for his piss thirsty puppy made you want to give him your bloody heart right out of your chest.
His moans and growled promises of rewards and declarations of the rawest form of love a person could feel fade into the background. You hollow your cheeks and go for gold, wet ‘schlop!’-ing sounds bounce off the walls as you fuck your throat with his girthy cock. Not the longest in the world, another one of your blessings (you’ve heard mutterings about mission showers and some guy that shoots lasers out of his eyes taking that prize), but the way it fills up the space in your mouth to the point it could burst gives your clit tachycardia.
“Yeah, fuck, are you ready to drink up, bitch? ‘m gonna use you like a toilet, gonna cum too- god fuckin’ damn-”
You give his balls a solid squeeze as the golden shower pours down your throat and past the seam of your lips to the floor. You don’t stop your ministrations, you actually speed up your pace and bring your wrists into it. Your hands bumping against his imitation knot-hand as you move them in circles, jacking him off while your plush lips glide up and down his cock.
You’re rubbing your pussy against the cushion, it has corduroy buttons that send a tingle down your spine when they catch your clit. The emerald green fabric drags and moves as you hump it while you put your all into making your dad-boyfriend-everything cum. You’re outright bouncing his heavy balls in your hands now, they’re so full you know that one load isn’t going to be nearly enough. So you tell yourself to lock in and hum, sending vibrations down his dick.
Determined puppies get extra treats, and you’ve never gone without them. So you push yourself to make eye contact, flicking your eyes up to stare at Logan as you ruin your own throat via his dick like it was nothing more than your toy. You think it’s the sheer and essentially licentious mannerisms and the glaringly obvious truth that there are men who are not immune to watching a pretty pet posturize themselves on an altar of their own making just to paw at their owner’s legs.
“My baby bunny, too damn sweet to me, yessssss-” His mouth wrenches up almost in pain as he clings to the back of your head and pounds your throat on his own for the next minute.
“Drink it all up, let me feel you swallow it down f’r me.”
You purposefully yank yourself off of his mid stream and duck down to bob his balls on your tongue, lathering them in that pungent scent. You rotate your wrist around his tip, coaxing him to empty everything he has in him and give it all to you. Your hand becomes just as scent marked as his balls and the divots in your collarbone where drops of his piss and cum are forming tiny pools.
He groans at the sight, “Doing so fuckin’ well, collectin’ Daddy’s juices and hoardin’ ‘em all for yourself.”
Your mouth envelops his twitch dick once more, most of what Logan keeps cooped up for you belongs in your growling tummy.
“You better not hiss at me when I have to wash your mouth out later, baby.”
Thus, your perfect record remains intact, you beam around his still hard dick as you float in a starless sea of white and yellow. A coat rack for cock fulfilling its duties.
His piss isn’t too orange-y, you’re glad you don’t have to nag him about cutting back on the booze this time.
Sadly there’s no blood sticking to your scalp from his nails, but you embrace the sting their indents leave behind. They’re almost as breathtaking as the plug buried in your ass, Dad always likes to keep your holes stretched out and ready.
—————————————————————————
“Girls flirt with the dangerous guy, Logan. They don’t bring him home. They marry the good guy.”
With you, he was that good guy. Whatever it meant to be one after all these years and invisible scars. It’s indescribable, how much meaning you can find in having to gain the strength to take care of someone else completely. Be their Atlas and shoulder the world so they can waltz around you, their wings spread wide. He’s glad, deep down, that your wings don’t extend past the small house he’s stuffed you in.
Logan Howlett deserves a nice thing or two every once in a while, and he already got a bottle of scotch from Scott. Fucker thinks he’s so clever. You’d do just fine being the second nice thing. A shame that the nicest thing you probably have is that slick stained cushion, he’s not anybody to write home about. But you seem to have stitched your sides together when he wasn’t looking, sewn your identity into his until you had emotionally fused into one being.
It happened way too fast and when he thought he wasn’t meant for loving a little pup like you, but he’s tired of being some old grump about it. You’d probably snap and try to beat him to a pulp with the bats he keeps in the closet (for you to use in emergencies since you don’t leave), and he’d have to hunt you down through the
Anything else other than you meant about as much to him as a pile of cigarette butts.
And some time later when the dam bursts for the first time and you’re trying not to fall off that cliff, sisyphus-esque struggling through recurring hoarse sobs because Logan is uncomfortably stroking your back gently as if you were a person and not a corpse, you’ll start to feel the molten hot gold seeping in and filling the cracks.
Maybe one day you can tell him about the v-shaped scars on your back, the ones that look like they were created when something was ripped away from you. They’re slanted craters, almost, hard material resembling bone jutting out from your back. Hooks lacking their ornaments.
Hell snatch up your old fashioned grocery list (written with an almost completely dried out ink pen from the bank on a flimsy college ruled sheet of paper) and make a quick run while you heal more than just your body, submerged in another acid trip of a dream.
You wanted to make a lemon cake before the summer ended, it’s always been your favorite.

now introducing the future of music and entertainment, endless options of sound (eos)
eos is an app that i script into most of my drs. i got inspired to create it after coming across a video on youtube of someone re-designing spotifys UI. i’ve used spotify, apple music, amazon music, youtube music, and many more music streaming services and none of them ever lived up to my expectations, so i thought why not create what i’ve always wanted? i took a long hard look at all of the features i wish the current apps had and put them all into one. i posted about it before on my previous account but didn’t go into the actual details much. it started as a music streaming app when it was launched but became much more than that. it’s one of my favorite parts of my drs because i’m an avid music listener and the features are to die for. eos is the only music streaming app in my drs. i also have a ceo dr where i’m the ceo of it because this app has basically become my child!!! anyways here’s what i have after working on it for months!
eos was launched on october 31, 2001 by robyn fenty (she’s older LMAO) and aliyah haughton. the app immediately gained popularity as the first and only music streaming service. it was created as a space where everyone could enjoy music. years later it implemented audiobooks, podcasts, music videos, interviews, merch, and concert tickets. it stands out with its flawless performance that never crashes or has bugs, its exceptional algorithm for fresh experiences each playtime, and its features like eosoulmates that connects users through shared music tastes.
lyrics and subtitles are always available in any language desired by the user and the platform includes organization like no other. exclusive presale codes are able for top listeners of specific artists because the app has its own ticketing system. eos is free for all users as the founders wanted to make a space to unify people during life’s challenge. to maintain this while making sure artists are fairly paid, revenue is generated through a share of concert ticket and merchandise sales, in-app donations directly supporting artists, non-intrusive sponsorships and partnerships, and grants from philanthropic organizations. this guarantees that eos stays true to making music accessible while supporting creators and users globally.
to expand on existing sounds of music and entertainment, the service implemented dolby atmos to its highest quality with no extra price to artists for using it.
eos also features eos karaoke: sing it your way. within this are lyrics that are displayed in perfect sync with customizable highlighting options, while users can adjust the original vocals (mute, reduce, or add harmonies) for a personalized performance. advanced pitch tracking gives real-time feedback, along with timing guides and a practice mode for perfecting songs. voice effects like reverb, autotune, and fun filters are available to take things to a higher level or have fun with friends and family. dual-screen mode connects to tvs for party setups and users can enjoy duets with friends or group singing for up to 10 people. karaoke playlists are curated based on mood, listening habits, or vocal range. sessions can be recorded and shared with friends or on social media. a scoring system with feedback helps users improve their singing while earning fun badges. eos karaoke also offers live virtual karaoke rooms, offline mode for downloaded tracks, and customizable themes for lyric screens and backgrounds. a special kid-friendly mode ensures the fun for all age groups.
eos allows music and entertainment to be accessible, fun, and, immersive to everyone.

Bruce has a new rule: NEVER let Arsenal and Red Hood together on a mission, if it happens, fucking get only Roy to abort the mission
I assume this is relating to one of the other asks I did. 100% agree
Red Hood and Arsenal on a mission? "Hell no!" -Batman
Not only would Hood lose his shit trying to protect Arsenal, but the two of them together are just total unstoppable chaos. They get the job done, but at what cost?
The cost is Batman's sanity, and he's slowly running out.
They have only purposely been on a mission together once before. It was an all hands on deck type situation, and Batman wishes that he had left them out anyway.
They had been tracking down Riddler for weeks now, having caught word that he was planning something huge. They were all surrounding the warehouse he was currently located in and monitoring it for any activity.
Red Hood gets bored and decides to just crash through the window and end it, and obviously Arsenal follows him. The bats are forced to follow them since their cover has been blown, and it's a nightmare fighting alongside those two.
They have like, coordinated moves and codewords and shit. They're rolling off each other's backs to get across to henchmen, ducking while the other one sends a kick over their head. How do they know it's coming? Did they even exchange any words? At some point Arsenal yells "deli chicken", running up to Hood and stepping on his hands, being thrown up into the air. How many code words do they have? What correlation does the move have to "deli chicken?" Hood at one point joins hands with Arsenal and starts swinging him around, knocking out people left and right. Nightwing is nearly caught in that mess, and decides to keep his distance.
Once Arsenal gets hurt, it's over. Hood is shooting down all these people and they're all dropping to the floor like flies. The rest of the bats barely got any punches in before it was all over. It was insanity and it will never happen again. Batman still has nightmares about it.
It does happen again. Red Hood decide he was bringing Arsenal along for a patrol without consulting Batman, so he only finds out about it when he comes across a huge explosion in a warehouse. He's running over to check out what it is, and just sees Red Hood and Arsenal recreating the Dirty Dancing final dance. There's no music playing. They're screaming the words. The warehouse is on fire and it's spreading. There's probably dead people inside. But Arsenal is spinning Hood around in the air and Hood is yelling "Nobody puts baby in a corner!" Batman does not know what to do in this situation.
So now, every time they see Arsenal even remotely close to Hood, they're pushing him away. Sending him home. One time Nightwing knocked him out and said it was an emergency. He paid the price later.
That duo scares them, and it's best for everyone involved if they just don't work at the same time.

Ghost
You’d only just noticed that Ghost stood at the front door of his apartment as if he were guarding it. Perhaps from your attempts at leaving.
You’d tried apologising to him for ‘stringing him along’ as long as you had, but you genuinely believed the two of you were just being friendly, bantering. Nothing more to it.
Obviously, Simon hadn’t seen it that way. You know that now as you watch his hand slip down the front of his sweatpants, palming his erection through them.
“Why don’cha come and show me how sorry you are with that pretty little mouth of yours.” He’s so monotone when he says it that you think he’s joking. His face tells you otherwise.
Of course, you’re speechless. But Simon cares little for your bewilderment. He looks down at you, his eyes narrowing. When you don’t come to him, he steps towards you.
“You know,” he says, coming closer. You step back. “Y’hear about pretty little things like you wandering into a man’s trap. Gettin’ ravaged.”
He’s before you, now, all but chest-to-chest. His eyes are black. Gone is the man you’ve been playfully flirting with these last few months; who you’d tried to push over the edge with your accidental grazes, your unintentional whines, the batting of your eyelashes.
None of that will save you now. His voice carries the weight of a dark star.
“How do you know this isn’t exactly where I want you.”
König
König was eerily silent upon your rejection.
You both stood in his kitchen where, after watching you cook, his heart swelling beyond reason and fathom, König had blurted out that he liked you. A lot.
Unfortunately, you couldn’t return those feelings, only viewing König as a good friend at most.
And now, he stands sentinel over a reaction you can’t possibly predict. Especially as his eyes, usually crinkled with a smile and laughter, seem lighter than usual, as if drained of all their warmth.
“I see,” is all König says. He sighs, runs a hand through his hair. He leans back against the kitchen counter, one hand gripping its rounded edge while the other remains free.
“I suppose I only have one option, then.”
König stands to his full height, approaching you, invading your personal space. He’s almost chest-to-chest with you, the bulk of his frame, the size of his biceps becoming glaringly obvious to you now as his shirt struggles to contain him, pulled taut over his musculature.
“I’ll just have to destroy you for any other man you try to whore around with.”
The way in which he says it suggests indifference; as if this is something he’s done or thought about a million times before. He presses you into the counter, hands coming to rest either side of you. He bears down on you, jaw clenched and teeth gritted behind straight lips.
“Then you’ll have no choice but to come limping back to me.”
Soap
“Oh aye, Bonnie? You’re gonna drop me, just like that?”
The look Johnny gives you is one of incredulous disbelief. Yet, in some way, you feel that he already knew you weren’t dedicated to the idea of a relationship with him. Even after all the time you’d spent together, the many nights you’d enjoyed sleeping over at his apartment, the many treats you’d baked for him; these were all things one could easily mistake for friendship.
You’d considered that perhaps tonight hadn’t been the best time to let him down, regardless of how gently you did it, considering it was your weekly movie night and it was his turn to host.
You wish you’d listened to your inner self. Especially now as Johnny watches you, his eyes silver and sharp like a wolf’s. Without warning, he pounces on you, taking your wrists and planting them into the sofa cushions.
He lies atop you, heavy. Unmoving. Struggling only makes him grunt, a spark flashing in his eye.
“Tell you what,” he proposes. “If y’can still remember yer name by the time I’m through with you,” he presses his hips against yours. You gasp at the feeling of something heavy and pointed catching you.
“We’ll see how willing y’are to try’n lead me astray.”
Valeria
“I see how it is,” she sighs, arms crossed over her front. She has you tied to a chair in her office, mouth gagged as you try to plead with her through your tears, your eyes. “You thought you could have your cake and eat it too. Thought you could have me while trying to fuck every other bitch that crosses your path.”
You’d dared to try and break things off with Valeria – ‘things’ referring to the one-sided pursual of your love by a certain cartel mommy. But alas, your efforts to repel her had only strengthened her resolve – her need – to have you.
“I’ve dealt with your type before,” she says, bringing her face down to your level. You swear her eyes are black, devoid of the slivers of humanity she still possesses – somewhere. The wrinkle in her nose forecasts disgust, an emotion you know first-hand does not bode well with Valeria.
“I thought you were different. Thought you’d know to shut up and take what’s handed to you – especially when you’ve worked yourself so hard to get it.” Valeria’s hand comes down between your legs, her fingers wrapping around the meat of your thigh. Gripping. Tight.
“Maybe the you I’m looking for is buried in there somewhere.” You can taste the venom in her voice as her scrutinising gaze roves over your bound form. She brings her mouth to your ear, intentional and without haste.
“And all I need to do is fuck it out of you.”
Price
You considered for a moment that John hadn’t actually heard you. What, with his lax demeanour and total lack of acknowledgement of your rejection.
Of course, you were glad he wasn't reacting poorly, but to see him not reacting at all worried you.
“I could have you hidden away somewhere–” Price starts, lighting his cigar and not even looking at you, “–where you’d be for my eyes only.”
The fact that he says it so casually almost has you believing that you’ve misheard him. You blink, wait for him to prove you wrong
Much to your shock, he does nothing to quell your growing anxiety.
“Bet you’d like that – having the attention of an older man. ‘Specially since you’ve worked so hard to get it.”
Now, he looks at you, with eyes hard and sharp as diamond, half-lidded, a glare that could cut glass.
“Sitting on my lap, wearing those tight little shorts around me. Bet you wanted this to happen, didn’t’ya.”
When you don’t respond, too shocked to even conjure a response that could cover even a fraction of what John had said, he spoke for you.
“Well, Love, got anything to say for yourself?”
He didn’t give you time to answer. He took his legs off his desk and stood, staring at you.
“Better say it now since y’won’t be able to say much by the time I’m done with you.”
Horangi
“I just can’t believe you thought this would end well for you.” Hong-Jin paces before you as you sit on the edge of your bed, a hostage in your own home. Clearly, your rejection of his proposal to become his partner hadn’t ended well, hence the lock on your front door now lay broken, your security system disarmed.
“Especially after all I’ve spent on you, after all I’ve done to you – for you.”
His eyes never left you, staring you down. You tried not to shake, tried not to make a run for the door that, while open and tantalising in its beckoning for your escape, a steel model of a man patrolled it, patrolled you. Had you prisoner.
He stops before you, stands just inches from where your knees are jittering. His hands come down to grip them, giving them a squeeze. If it’s meant to be comforting, his intentions are lost in translation.
“Maybe I wasn’t clear enough with you,” he says. Offers you an out. “Maybe I’ve given you too much freedom.”
At that, he sinks to his knees before you and, without warning, parts your legs. You yelp, trying to pull away, but he keeps you tethered to the spot. His hands shoot to the top of your thighs and you can feel his fingers hooking over the sides of your bed shorts.
You try to reason with him, try to tell him you’ll do whatever he wants, so long as he doesn’t hurt you.
“Shh, shh, it’s okay. Only want to show you–” he pulls the sides of your shorts down– “what you’re missing.”
Alejandro
The instigator of such a cold reception from Alejandro had been your refusal of a date with him. One which, unbeknownst to you, he’d been planning and psyching himself up for for the past week.
“I see.” Alejandro’s face was stern, thunder clouds rolling over him, making his features dark and pointed. The onset of a storm.
You didn’t know what to say, what to do, as Alejandro stood by your front door, dressed as if he was prepared to take you out right now.
You could see his jaw clench, his eye twitch.
“Is there someone else?” he asks.
You know that getting rejected solely because someone favours another over you is bad, but being rejected without competition is worse. You swallow, unsure of which option will infuriate Alejandro more. When you fail to answer, he sighs.
“You know, I always thought you were smarter than this, (Y/N).” His voice is low and intentional, like a plane flying too close to the ground. You look up, only to find him staring down at you, taking up all the space of your doorway with his hand perched on top of it like it’s nothing.
“But maybe I just have to teach you.”
You try to speak up for yourself, try to ask Alejandro what he’s playing at, but he shushes you. Steps into your home.
“I’ll have you crawling back to me by the night’s end, Cariño.” His words carry a weight that roots you in place. “I promise you that.”
Rodolfo
“Oh, I know,” he says with all the certainty in the world. You’re in his apartment, coming to break the news to him that you can’t accept his boyfriend proposal; the one he’d sent you in a five-page-long love letter.
You blink, befuddled. “You…you know?” Your brow raises. “You’re taking this a lot better than I thought you would.”
Rudy gives a hum, a smiling one. He puts his hands in his pockets, leans against the wall behind him.
“That’s because I know you don’t mean it.” He gives you little time to contemplate his statement before he’s descending upon you like a solar eclipse. “I just needed an excuse to get you somewhere we wouldn’t be…” He searches for the right word. “Disturbed.”
Strange, considering how he was disturbing you right now. He went on.
“I mean, how else was I going to get you here? If I’d just text you, you could shoot me down without coming anywhere near me. But now,” he’s close enough that his hands rest on your arms when he reaches for you, pulling him closer to him. You stumble on uncertain legs.
His grip is soft but you feel trapped, even if Rudy is one of the few people you’d feel comfortable being trapped with.
“Now,” he says, voice low. He pulls you into his chest, hard with years of training.
“I can show you how well I can please you.”
Graves
Graves is far more used to being the player, not the played. So when he discovered that you were, in fact, engaging in what could be construed as promiscuous behaviour with him without the intention of falling for his charms, he went silent. His stare hardened.
He’d never admit it, but he’d actually grown to like you in the time you’d been together. A lot.
“So that’s it?” he says. His voice, usually rounded with his southern charm and honeyed words, strikes you like an arrow, ice and sharp. “We have a good thing goin’ and you’re just gonna throw it all away?”
You’d tried to explain to him that no, that wasn’t what you meant when you’d suggested some time apart. You just wanted to explore other options, is all.
He gives a whiplash, humourless laugh.
“Can tell you’re lyin’ from a mile away. I know you want me, need me.”
When you roll your eyes, ready to back out of the conversation altogether, he’s on you, closing the gap between you and gripping you by your shoulders. He presses you against the wall.
“Fight it all you want, but we both know you’re just gonna come crawlin’ back, so why don’t I make this easy for ya.” His breath is hot against your cheeks, a bull on the prowl. His fingers dig into your shoulders and he gives you an impish smile. One that seems to substitute something much more insidious.
“I’ll have you begging me to fuck you by the end of the night,” he promises. “One way or another, whether you like it or not, m’gonna make you all mine.”
Gaz
Gaz has played the nice guy for far too long. This, he realises as he watches someone try to chat you up from across the bar, only to make the fatal mistake he himself had made: leaving you unattended.
Gaz wasted no time. He slithered through the crowded bar to you, taking your wrist in his hand on his way. He dragged you to a small room, dark and out of the way. He locked the door behind him.
“What was all that about, then.”
He faces away from you, but even through the dim light of the one, flickering light bulb above you, you could see his shoulders heaving, his hands clenched into fists as he awaits your response.
A friend, just some guy – it doesn’t matter. Gaz turns and bears down on you, backing you against the wall. Your hands fly up to his chest to try and quell him, to put some distance between the two of you. His heart pounds and so does yours, albeit for different reasons.
“You’re mine,” he says. He pens you in, his form broad and sculpted by horrors unknown. A hand comes to take your chin between its fingers, jerking your gaze to meet his. “Have I not worked hard enough to be able to have you yet.”
His voice cracks, though he shows no signs of crying. No, Instead he presses his front to yours. Something catches your thigh and you gasp.
“Maybe you just need reminding,” he tells you, “of how much I’ve done for you.” He rolls his hips against you, his hands coming to bolt themselves on the wall behind you, caging you.
“How much I can do.”

When all those shadows almost killed your light - T*!Bucky Barnes/Reader
- timeline : getting dragged into the Void - words : 1310 - lyric title from 'Safe and Sound' by Taylor Swift (so stucky coded) - tags : unrequired love but not really (they're too scared to confess); angst with a happy ending; Bucky is a sweetheart that deserved more screen time - Trigger Warnings : Hydra (murder, adbuction, violence, implied sa); The Winter Soldier (attempt murder) --- @icybarness

You
You weren't sure what happened after the Void consumed you. All you could recall was Bucky's terrified face as you got forcefully dragged to the darkness, John fucking Walker on his side to get him to stop reaching for you. It was too late. Now the air was cold, goosebumps running on your skin as panic made your heart beat faster in your ears.
You felt anxiety within your bones, every thought leading to Bucky was followed by a sharp inhale and broken step. You rapidly recognized the signs: lightheaded and overwhelmed at the same time, breathing burning your lungs and shaky hands. This messed up situation was giving you a panic attack.
So you ran. Ran as fast as you could. As far as your wobbly legs could get you. Your only motivation being Bucky. Seeing him, touching him. When was the last time you two hugged? When was the last time you two joked about random couples on the street only to be wishing to yourself that you two could have what they had?
At some point, you reached buildings. You brought your hands to your upper arms, trying to gain some solace in the dead end street that was forming around you. If you recognized the number on one of the door, you didn't actually believe its implication until you passed through the wooden door and blueberry reached your nostrils.
Blueberry and blood.
A sea of crimson red tainting the floor, coloring the walls and your seven years old self, standing at the cheap door between the living room and the bedroom. You came across the unforgiving, going against your father's order not to peak an eye, and you were to pay the price. You tried to stand between your young self and the Hydra soldiers, muttering 'no' under your breath but it was no replay.
You were going through the hardest part of your life and feared what was coming next. The soldier's hand reached your own the same way brutality met innocence and your heart dropped, seeking escape.
As the scenery went dark, you screamed Bucky's name, thinking he found a way to save you but you were faced with something else instead; Moscow's Institute for Wilderness Young-lings. If you couldn't get inside, you peered through the windows and felt your skin tearing apart as you watched yourself receive a Lesson. Eat or be eaten. Be the best recrue or get beaten to the top. Tears already fell down your face, frozen on the memories you were not only forced to watch but to relive.
After one last and scarring burn in Hell, you were in the sky; but not looking from Heaven. In fact, it was worse. Hydra and its Red Room initiative needed guinea-pigs, the useless and defenseless orphan you were was going to be part of their experiment.
It was supposed to kill you. A slow, disastrous torture while your genetic code was being modified. It almost made you regret Mrs. Nebroska's sharp whip, at least you weren't hearing the others screaming hysterically to death from the room afar. Much to everyone's surprise, you weren't the one. If it modified your genetic code whith you surviving, you didn't earn abnormal skills afterwards. It was only fair they tortured you before leaving you to the dead.
Dance. All day. Everyday.
You never learned to dance, they made you acquire this skill with brain memory from another guinea-pig, that's all you were. Animals, violent, dangerous, useless. Useless. Ballet-ting with your hands behind your back, a meal taken away each time you were falling. You had the talent but your body wasn't designed for it, your bones were burning but you knew you could never stop by yourself. That was asking for it. Rebelling. And nobody wanted to be tamed. Nobody wanted hands teaching them their bodies weren't theirs, that they had no right to speak, no right to think, to scream.
Bucky
Witnessing you getting away from his grip, his security, the only arms you were allowing yourself to cry to, was too much. He didn't care about what the others were shouting at him, he didn't care that he told Alexei not to go after Yelena for the same reason he was going after you, he didn't care about all of it. Just because it was you.
And you deserved his shoulder to sob on every time you knocked on his door at 2am to cry. He wasn't saying anything, just letting you hold onto him, casually rubbing your back when sobs were struggling to get out. Because you made him feel fucking human and he felt like he didn't deserve you when he thought of all the times you perceived him as he was before the second world war. Before hydra. Before his brain got so fucked up he forgot he had humanity and a soul.
He never dared put a hand on you, knowing everything he touched was doomed to misery. He'd say he'd be happy for you if you were to find some kind finance guy to marry then shallow whole the gut-wrenching feeling in his bile.
As he was, too, in his own Void, he ignored his own demons no matter how hard they were affecting him at the moment. He was only focused the sound of your voice as you screamed his name. When he finally got to you, even him had to let out a strangled breath, one that you didn't have because he was trying to drown you. Or rather the Winter Soldier was.
He always tried not to think of this mission. He was sent after an infiltrated spy, by Pierce's words. You had supposedly betrayed the system with crucial information and needed to be deleted. He found out later on that you did have information but not the one he thought. And that you never left the system but kicked out as everyone thought you were dead.
It didn't matter to him. All thought went to you as he rushed to your side, cupping your terrified face in his hands as he made you look away from the scene, making it face your back so you were solely focused on him. “Hey, doll.” He slowly murmured, his hands going to your ear, making your forget about the sound of water leaving the bathtub as you fought for it. “I need you to only focus on me and only me, alright?”
Your hands went to his, as if debating if that was really him. He pressed his forehead against yours, waiting for the scene to be over, for you to fake -once again - your death. He was tempted to kiss you right now but he felt it wouldn't be appropriated, you would even reject him, he was the dumbest guy in the universe to think you could actually have feelings for him.
"It's not real." He continued. “You lived it but that's long gone. You went through it and you're here, you survived everything. I'm so proud of you, sweetheart, and you can be too.”
Your sobs were growing quieter and he opened his eyes to have you looking at him like he's the fucking Garden of Babylon with those soft eyes he would trade all he has only keep them for himself. “You- You came here for me? Despite everything?”
"I'd give up forever to touch you," he said, quoting your favourite song. But you both had no time reacting to what just slipped out of his mouth as the room changed for a portal connecting them to the rest of the group. He reluctantly let go of you, dragging you toward it with a firm yet gentle touch on your wrist, not noticing the smile appearing on your lips as your played his words over and over again in your head.

Simon Riley and how he talks about you.. but in the self aware universe
After he had finally gotten out if the damned game and managed to convince you that he was not some weird intruder or your imagination, he did everything he could to show that he was interested in you
He was amused by how you reacted to the most simplest of his touches- especially whenever he kissed your hand or your cheek, mumbling a small 'Thank you, luv' after you did something for him
He didn't have any friends. Soap, Price, Gaz, and all the other friends he had were nothing more than just code in a game and slowly he came to terms with that
At least he's in the real world with you now
He did try to make some and get a job as you had a job, but he couldn't exactly get one as he had no records of him even existing. Whenever you went to work, he would do the grocery shopping. You made sure to get him cash since you couldn't exactly give him his own credit card
You would come home and see your cabinets and fridge were filled to the brim with snacks and foods both of you liked
Over the few months, he eventually made a friend at the grocery store which lead to a group of them at the grocery store. God, sometimes they wished he would shut up about you. Although it was endearing, they never thought such a gruff man could speak so adoring about someone like that
Whenever something you liked ran out of stock he would ask if he could get more in the back and it got to the point where he had the same rights as an employee
They offered him a job, but of course, he didn't take it. Nothing beats his want to go back into the 141..
besides you
