Shadow and Void _ Part 14

[Yandere!Sung Jinwoo x Enemy Monarch!Reader]

In another world, light and darkness existed in an age where everything else had yet to exist. The [ABSOLUTE BEING] split the light and created the emissaries of god, and split darkness to create the 9 sovereigns. The Sovereigns, who were born to destroy the world, and the Smissaries, who were born to maintain the world, continuously killed each other’s soldiers.

Fatigued by the constant and unending war, the brightest fragment of the Brilliant Light asked the [ABSOLUTE BEING]. “Oh, our Absolute Ruler. Why does thee not aid thy most faithful subjects fighting in thy honour? Why does thee ignore the screams of the countless soldiers dying for thy honour? Please lend us the strength to extinguish our opponents. We shall cut their heads and offer them as a tribute to thy glory.”

But the [ABSOLUTE BEING] did not reply back to the Fragment. The two wings, one of a golden shine and the other of a galaxy river, extended and wrapped itself around the form of the [ABSOLUTE BEING]. And at the moment, the Fragments of Brilliant Light realized. To the [ABSOLUTE BEING], the fight battle between themselves and the Sovereigns is nothing more than a form of entertainment, and that the Ruler does not wish for the war to end.

<WORSHIP THE GOD.> Everyone worshipped the [ABSOLUTE BEING].

<PRAISE THE GOD.> Everyone let out outcries of war for the [ABSOLUTE BEING].

<PROVE YOUR PIETY.> Everyone pledged their allegiance with their blood and lives, to the [ABSOLUTE BEING].

They have been abiding by the law until now.

<THOSE WHO DISOBEY THE LAW WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RETURN ALIVE.> But there were overwhelmingly more of those who fell victim to death than those who overcame it. Even if they abided by the law, only death awaits them.

“As long as the [ABSOLUTE BEING] exists, the war will never end. And to end this meaningless war, they unsheathed their blades. It was the start of the rebellion.” Ashborn explained while Jinwoo watched the memories play like a movie in a threater. He pointed to a figure that he no longer resembled, “That is me of the distant past. I was the sole emissary of god who stood up against the rebellion of the other emissaries. But my pitiful number of soldiers powerlessly fell before the united armies of the emissaries, and I thought it was the end. But when I reopened my eyes within the darkness…”

The same pair of mismatched coloured wings appeared before the fallen past Ashborn. It hugged the bloodied emissary tightly. When the wings reopened, a dark shadow crawled along him while purple sparks flew. “I realized that the [ABSOLUTE BEING] had hidden a certain power inside me.”

“Arise.” At his command, the fallen rose into a new form that was familiar to Jinwoo’s eyes. Even Ashborn’s rugged form was reborn into what he appeared now. The Shadow Monarch’s appear was divine with the pair of wings flapping behind him. “And I led my new army to the battlefront. However… When I returned, everything was already over.”

The same wings dropped to the ground and twitched uncontrollably before disappearing to nothingness.

The remaining Fragments of Brilliant Light had killed the [ABSOLUTE BEING] and called themselves the new gods, thus assuming the position of the ‘Rulers’, and used various tools containing the power of the Absolute Being to hunt down the Sovereigns. As a result, The King of Giants, Legia, was captured by the Rulers. And the power balance between the two sides collapsed.

“Before I reached the Sovereigns, I met Space.”

“Space? The Monarch of Void?”

“Yes and no. Essentially, they are different, yet one in the same, like you and I.” Ashborn glanced down at Jinwoo for a brief second before the memory changed once more. “The two coloured wings represented Time and Space, a power the [ABSOLUTE BEING] held. Time being the one thing that can’t be controlled was objectified and space being the one thing that can’t be held was personified. The [ABSOLUTE BEING]’s death made both regain their full powers. That was the secret.”

Your misty form appeared in the memory, encircling the past Ashborn’s form, “You’re familiar. Have we met?”

Ashborn’s memory self only acted stoically toward you. “Bring me to the rest of your kind.”

“Time and Space awakened my hidden power after my death, but the Monarch of Void has no recollection of ever being half the power of balance for [ABSOLUTE BEING], even with those capabilities. The core of the Monarch of Void was as a Sovereign.” Ashborn continued to narrate. “However, there was that dormant interest towards me due to that power. The Monarch of Void had no idea.”

The Sovereigns realized the severity of the situation, and Ashborn used that moment to reach out to the Sovereign under the Monarch of Void’s directions. The Sovereigns had no choice but to combine forces with Ashborn in order to combat a common enemy, the ‘Rulers’. From then on, Ashborn continued the long-lasting battle, as neither a Fragment of Brilliant Light nor an Emissary of god, but as the ‘Shadow Monarch’.

Time and space were on his side, literally and figuratively. The corpses and the souls that remained on the battlefield and when Ashborn combined forces with the army of destruction, led by the King of Berserk Dragons, then buffed and supported by the Monarch of Void, the Monarchs, as well as the Ruler,s came to fear Ashborn. Two of the Monarchs who feared Ashborn aimed for his back after combining forces with the Monarch of Void’s oath as a backing. And due to that, Ashborn’s shadow army was nearly annihilated.

In the memories that Ashborn showed, he was indeed ambushed by two Monarchs. But Ashborn pointed to the far side, the attention of the main battle wasn’t the focus. Jinwoo trained his gaze to the corner where the shadow army was destroyed, there was a thin layer of mist covering the bodies and then they were gone. The best part was that none of them were even aware of it happening.

“Is that…”

Ashborn nodded, “The Monarch of Void’s oath is absolute. In a way, it was similar to the [ABSOLUTE BEING]’s rules. However, there were always loopholes that could be exploited. In this case, I strongly believe that the oath was only concerned with my being, and the army wasn’t included. The fact that I wasn’t dead meant the oath didn’t include that detail.”

After the betrayal had happened, you went into hiding and ceased all activities to aid the Monarchs, while Ashborn went into hiding for the sake of revenge. With Ashborn and you gone, the Monarchs, who lost the majority of their power, had been defeated by the Rulers. When Ashborn reappeared, the Monarchs has already took their chances to escape to the crack between the dimensions, the King of Dragons did not permit any kind of fighting, as he claimed it was time for them to recover their strength and for you to get pass Ashborn’s betrayal.

Before your back, Ashborn joined the search for a new world for the sake of rebuilding a new army. Though you were faster when you had found Earth and settled in by searching for a vessel to inhabit. The Monarchs followed your trail to Earth. To humans, the appearance of the Monarchs seemed very unprecedented and their annihilation was inevitable.

You watched the cities burnt up in flames with nothing but pity of an entertainment gone. You made no move to ward off the Monarchs, you made no move to aid the Monarchs. You protected yourself. Just before you went to another world, an instinct told you to stay and you watched as the world returned to normal before everything was buried in destruction.

“Naturally, the Rulers grew angry at the fact that the army of the Chaos World they failed to eradicate managed to bring destruction upon another world. In order to correct this, they used their tool containing the power of the [ABSOLUTE BEING], which they had prohibited themselves from using. The tools of god, the [Cup of Reincarnation]. It was an incredible tool that could turn back time by 10 years.”

“Is this Time?”

“Yes. But like the Monarch of Void, the power was weakened. So the Rulers used everything they had in order to save this world, but the current Earth was way too weak to fight against the Monarchs. And Earth, where no magical energy resided, could not endure the mass-scale battles. Whether the Monarchs or the Rulers won the battle, the impact brought upon this planet would remain the same. Thus, the Rulers made a drastic decision. If they can’t save everyone, they wanted to make sure that at least some would survive, so those people could continue on in this world.”

Hunters appeared left and right. You knew the Rulers had a hand to play in this and you knew the other Monarchs would be seeking you out for your powers. As soon as the King of Destruction was back, you’d be used as a tool. So you searched for a vessel with hast, and hoped for Ashborn to return. As long as you never allowed your movements to be known to the Monarchs, you were relatively safe.

Jinwoo confirmed, “So this world has already gone through countless annihilations.”

“Indeed. Although the higher beings are not able to go against the flow of time, they are able to perceive the change in the flow of time created by the [Cup of Reincarnation]. While Rulers tried to fix their mistakes several times, the Sovereigns also began modifying their plan continuously. Until the tool of god couldn’t be used anymore.”

A thought made Jinwoo’s blood run cold, “Hold up… If there’s a limit to the [Cup of Reincarnation], then the Monarch of Void…”

“Yes, there is no such thing as infinite power. Just like how the [ABSOLUTE BEING], who was capable of creating worlds, was eliminated by his own creations, there is a limit to every power. However, it is debatable regarding the Monarch of Void’s being. Perhaps it is because no oath had been broken from the beginning till now, or some other reason, but the Monarch of Void has remained the same as before with no signs of weakness.” Ashborn looked at Jinwoo, “From my knowledge, if two or more oaths contradict each other… The consequence of that was never explored.”

Jinwoo let out a sigh of relief. As long as you were fine. Knowing your self-preservation trait, he knew you wouldn’t be making an oath anytime soon. “But how were the creations able to kill their creator?”

“It’s no different to humans dying from machines they had created. We were created to fight, and our powers were more than enough to bring down our own creator. Then the Sovereigns utilized the Rulers’ and the Monarch of Void’s methods to create a plan of their own. Similar to how Rulers lent power to humans so they can kill magical beasts, thus strengthening the world, Sovereigns would also borrow, or rather, snatch a human’s body to descend into the world, and bring their armies far earlier than the expectations of the Rulers. They planned to use the magical energy that was spread around the planet by the Rulers to turn the entirety of Earth into one large trap.”

“So that they could devour the Rulers’ armies coming to aid humanity in one go.”

“It would have been that way. But as long as the Monarch of Void doesn’t bless their actions, in human terms, the Monarchs would have a harder time making that into fruition. So they have to wait for the wrath of the Monarch of Void to pass before the tides flip to the Rulers’ favour.” Ashborn pointed out, “Even so, for a Sovereign, who possesses incredible power, to cross over into this world, they need a host body who is able to handle their power.”

Jinwoo nodded as he recalled your explanation to him when he asked for a weakness, “I was told that detail. A vessel to take over with the characteristics of the respective Monarch’s power element.”

Ashborn hummed, “Yes. Because Monarch of Void, Monarch of Destruction, and I possess powers too great, we could not easily find humans who are suitable to be our hosts. That was our first concern.”

Naturally, in the end, Jinwoo was chosen as Ashborn’s vessel.

“You betrayed the Architect. The Monarch of Void was looking forward to your return as well. Why?”

There was a moment of silence before Ashborn spoke again, “The Rulers’ apology. The betrayal of the Monarchs. And Space’s favour. I pondered on which side I should stand on. Ironic how I urged Monarch of Void to pick a side but I, too, was at wits’ end deciding on one. Still, I made a decision. And I wanted it to be that way. The time I spent with you was so blissful. Perhaps I did not want to lose you. I become you. You became me. No matter who becomes the owner of this body, it will not be strange. For we are already one.”

Jinwoo’s eyes widened when Ashborn’s form morphed into his, like he was looking into a mirror. His shock returned back to his stoic look, “But it will be for the Monarch of Void.”

Ashborn poked a finger at his chest, “You have been harbouring twisted and possessive emotions towards my younger sibling.”

Jinwoo flinched, having some form of guess to what or who Ashborn was referring to. Though, was he wrong this entire time? Their relationship wasn’t anything romantic? But you were so hellbent on Ashborn and so obsessed it appeared to him like???

A chuckle made Jinwoo’s confusion and swirling thoughts come to a pause, “Fear not, in human terms, and I have chosen and accepted you. This is equal to my blessing to you and your future relationship.” He stepped back as the scenery changed to a flowery field, “But, I will offer you a choice. You could stay in this domain of death, and enjoy the eternal dreams you’ve created for yourself. You could choose to rest.” Then the scenery changed to one where the skies are covered with monstrous soldiers and their Monarchs in the lead. “If that is not your choice, you will be sent to reality once more. You will have to fight your adversaries.”

Jinwoo could have sworn he heard his name when blood was gushing out of his body like a river. Not once, but twice. The fact that he was still within this domain meant he was being protected. By you, no doubt, so he should be returning by your side and comfort you. “My answer is the same. This is not a place where I should be, nor want to be.”

Ashborn’s form returned to normal. “Say ‘thank you’ and ‘farewell’ for me, to my dear sibling.”

Note: A bit of boring stuff, but this basically explains you and your relationship with Ashborn. Now that everyone has cleared the path... Jinwoo can work on a formal and official love~~ Right? Right??? See the next part and last arc to know guys~~

That aside... I think the next to update should be that Inhuman series... Hmm~~

RvB tarot cards

I have once again cooked up a hypothetical tarot deck for a show I enjoy. I didn't make any art because I refuse to attempt Halo armor, but here's my pitch for which RvB character I'd assign to each of the major arcana.

0-The Fool: Franklin Delano Donut. The fool symbolizes new beginnings, and someone who is so excited to be on an adventure that they stop paying attention to the dangers around them. Donut is of course known for his vibrant enthusiasm, but he may not be the most mindful person. Despite all the dangers and near death experiences he's faces though, this plucky private just keeps on being fabulous.

1-The Magician: Frank "Doc" Dufrense. The magician is a powerful character because he stands outside the limits of the four suits, much like Doc's place beyond the constructed binary of Red vs Blue. He doesn't belong wholly to any group (and his mind doesn't even belong wholly to himself), but that won't stop him from showing up every day to make people more comfortable while they die. He is an outsider who comes to help others; it's just a question of whether he can live up to his own good intentions.

2-The High Priestess: Agent North Dakota. As an almost parental figure, the high priestess is often sought for advice and encourages cooler heads to prevail. North's place amongst the Freelancers was often defined by his role as a peacekeeper, serving as an advocate for calm and reasoned thinking in the face of bizarre circumstances. It's because of this logic and empathy that he was able to recognize Freelancer's corruption and ultimately defect from the project.

3- The Empress: Agent New York. The empress is a leader not through force but through nurturing. This suits York, who was consistently one of the highest ranked and best beloved Freelancers, in large part due to his amiable personality and willingness to listen to others. He often acted as a more passive or supportive member of the group, but his defection from the program proved that he was still an independent thinker and a leader in his own right.

4- The Emperor: Agent Carolina. In contrast to their counterpart, the emperor is the leader who maintains control through strict discipline. Carolina was the head of her squad in Project Freelancer due to her raw strength and combat ability, but she often allowed this reliance on rules and structure to go too far. She not only allowed the ranking system to control her life, but she expected her place as #1 to allow her to control the lives of others. After her time with the Reds and Blues she allowed herself to loosen up a bit, but she still maintained her domineering personality and commitment to victory.

5- The Hierophant: Col. Sarge. The hierophant is another leadership card, this one coming from a person who is entrenched in a place of authority and perhaps a bit too reliant on rules and history. Sarge is certainly a creative leader in many ways, but he also depends upon the army as the arbitrator of right and wrong; focusing heavily on receiving orders and passing them on to his subordinates. Sarge isn't completely unchangeable though, and we see in season eight onwards the sort of wild maneuvers he'll cook up on his own time.

6- The Lovers: Lopez and Sheila. This card is fairly self explanatory, I think. Two people in love! It just so happens that in this case, the happiest and most functional relationship is between a robot soldier and the enemy tank.

7- The Chariot: Agent South Dakota. The chariot is all about go-go-go. It's a card of action and movement, much like South's fiery and passionate personality. Though her impulsivity often got her benched, the limitations placed on her by the Director only added to her frustration and prevented her from getting any of that energy out in a healthy way. After Project Freelancer her main mission was always to keep moving and keep finding something new, no matter what destruction she had to leave behind.

8- Strength: Michael J. Caboose. While Caboose is of course strong in a physical sense, that's not exactly the meaning of the strength tarot card. Strength is the lion, but it's also the young woman who fearlessly scratches the lion's ears. Caboose can lift a tank, but his real power comes from the strength of his friendships and his willingness to trust anyone who comes his way. This endless optimism and determination to keep seeing the bright side of everything (even a killer robot) is what led the Reds and Blues out of many tough scrapes.

9- The Hermit: Dick Simmons. The hermit is a guy by himself, plain and simple. While Simmons craves the company of others, he often finds it easier to keep himself isolated than to deal with the complexities of humanity. If the Reds don't respect him he'll simply join the Blues and take over an empty base. He's smart, yes, but he sees his own powers as ultimate and doesn't want to be on the team if he isn't seen as essential.

10- The Wheel of Fortune: Agent Florida. As a symbol of fate and destiny, the wheel of fortune is suited to a character like Florida who may appear chaotic but ultimately pulls the strings of Blood Gulch. His personality can be a bit unpredictable at times, but Flowers is still completely in control. It's just a question of whether you've figured out his plan yet.

11- Justice: Agent Connecticut. While all the members of Project Freelancer were supposedly fighting for peace, CT is the only one who took it upon herself to keep their agency in check. The others followed of course, but she was the first whistleblower to really challenge Freelancer and uncover the twisted secrets of their organization, and she was more than willing to sacrifice her life if it meant getting that information to the right people. Though it didn't come to pass until after his death, CT was still the one who brought Project Freelancer to justice.

12- The Hanged Man: Lavernius Tucker. While the hanged man isn't exactly a cheery sounding card, what it's really about is looking at difficult situations from a creative perspective. Tucker was constantly tied up in the schemes of others (The Director, the Sangheli, Felix), but he always maintained his distinctive attitude and determination. While he would have preferred to stay the same guy he was in Blood Gulch, he proved again and again that he was more than able to adapt and evolve; thriving in lethal conflicts and becoming a hero unlike any other.

13- Death: The Meta. The Meta, like death, is not cruel or sadistic. It is simply coming for you, and you will not escape. Looking deeper though, the death card in tarot symbolizes the end to old systems and the transition to something new. The Meta was once Agent Maine, until is underwent a transformation more horrible than simply dying. It went through a metamorphosis, and in the process brought about the end of Project Freelancer and the beginning of a new era.

14- Temperance: Locus. This card is one that symbolizes balance more than anything else. As a man desperate to become a machine, Locus tried to maintain perfect control over himself. He wanted to appear solid and unshakeable, up until the bedrock of his partnership with Felix was shattered. After he turned on his partner, Locus struggled to maintain a different kind of balance; between the man he was and the man he wants to be.

15- The Devil: Felix. Well this one is pretty simple. The devil as a card is about evil, yes; but it's also about control and creativity. Felix found joy in his ability to wrap the people of the New Republic around his finger, and he thrived in command of an army of space pirates. More than that though, he had fun with it. He always came up with innovative ways to destroy his enemies or intimidate his allies, and he was completely free of guilt the entire time.

16- The Tower: The Director. While death and the devil sound scary on the surface, the tower is really the most powerfully negative card in the deck. Much like Dr. Church, the tower brings misery and despair to everyone associated with it. More specifically, the screaming people falling from a lightning struck tower symbolizes divine retribution for humans who saw themselves as gods. The Director spent his later years trying to build a program that could win a war and bring back his lost love, and his favorite tool was manipulation. He always wanted nothing more than to establish his own power and prove that he could maintain complete control over the world and people around him, but it was only a matter of time before his ship crashed into Sidewinder and his bitter children found his hiding place.

17- The Star: Dexter Grif. The star is another symbol of balance, though this one is more about fairness and hope. Grif is someone who may act discontented but clearly cares deeply about the people around him, and his unshakeable demeanor holds the Reds together (as much as Sarge would hate to admit it). While he doesn't literally nourish the land and water like the star, he stays calm amidst a team of fiery tempers and is able to keep the warthog running if they ever need a getaway vehicle.

18- The Moon: Agent Washington. The moon is all about changes and illusions, perfect for someone like Wash who spent so much time blending into different personas. While Wash, like the moon, can appear dark and mysterious; he's ultimately a force for positive change amongst the Reds and Blues, who in turn inspire him to change into the best version of himself.

19- The Sun: Kaikaina Grif. Simple joy, that's what the sun is all about. In a canyon full of shitty people and a show full of angst, Kai is one of the only characters who's just here to have a good time. As crazy as things get for her brother and his friends, she'll always be waiting back at Blue Base with enough music and glowsticks to keep the party going.

20- Judgement: Agent Texas. Much like the angel on this card descends to judge mankind, Tex was dragged from the afterlife to separate the worthy from the corrupt. While she was created as a sort of toy in the Director's grief, she quickly established her own sense of identity and justice. She saw the truth of Project Freelancer and made it her mission to destroy it, doing her best to free the Alpha. In Blood Gulch and beyond she acted as a sort of avenging angel for the Blues, swooping in to save their asses and punish whoever she deemed to be worthy of punishment. In the end they all learned something from Tex and her fierce determination. Church became his own protector, and he could finally let Allison rest.

21- The World: The AI fragments. The world is a card of ultimate completion. Much like the many fragments who came from a more powerful AI, many symbols surround the vast and vibrant landscape of this card. Delta, Theta, Gamma, Omega, Beta, Sigma, Eta, Iota, Epsilon, and Alpha are all characters in their own right; but they're also pieces of a whole. They were never able to reunite fully in Red vs Blue, but they live on in the memories of Epsilon and all of us who return to the show year after year.

"STATO PENALE DI POLIZIA

Ieri sera la camera dei deputati ha approvato a larghissima maggioranza il Ddl 1660, col quale senza troppi giri di parole, si istituisce in Italia lo stato di polizia.

🔴 Il blocco stradale e quindi gli scioperi diventano reato penale con condanne fino a 2 anni di carcere;

🔴 le proteste in carcere o nei Cpr possono essere punite col carcere fino a 20 anni;

🔴 idem per chi protesta contro le grandi opere;

🔴 Anche la "propaganda" delle lotte è punibile fino a 6 anni, essendo considerata "terrorismo della parola";

🔴carcere fino a 7 anni per chi occupa una casa sfitta o solidarizza con le occupazioni;

🔴 Fino a 15 anni per resistenza attiva

🔴 Fino a 4 anni per resistenza passiva (nuovo reato, ribattezzato "anti-Ghandi")

🔴 Facoltà per forze dell'ordine di detenere una seconda arma personale al di fuori di quella di ordinanza e al di fuori del servizio.

🔴 Carcere immediato anche per le madri incinte o con figli di età inferiore a un anno

🔴 Dulcis in fundo, si vieta agli immigrati senza permesso di soggiorno finanche l'uso del cellulare, vincolando l'acquisto della SIM al possesso del permesso.

Tutto ciò col silenzio complice delle "opposizioni parlamentari", le quali al di là di un voto contrario puramente di bandiera non hanno mosso un dito per contrastare realmente le nuove leggi "fascistissime", peggiorative rispetto allo stesso codice Rocco.

Anzi: su circa 160 parlamentari, al momento del voto a Montecitorio l'"opposizione" ne aveva in aula soltanto 91!!!

Non solo: prima della votazione finale del Ddl, PD e 5 stelle hanno presentato alcuni ordini del giorno (recepiti dal governo) che impegnavano quest' ultimo ad incrementare la spesa per assumere nuovi agenti di polizia e di guardie penitenziarie: l'ennesima riprova di come, al di la di qualche sfumatura, nella sostanza siano tutti uniti nella direzione di un inasprimento dei dispositivi repressivi, funzionale alla guerra e all'economia di guerra, cioè di fatto all'introduzione di una vera e propria legge marziale!

Ora la parola passa al senato, il quale sicuramente approverà in tempi brevi questa ignobile ed infame legge.

Dicono che tutti i giorni dobbiamo mangiare una mela per il ferro e una banana per il potassio. Anche un'arancia per la vitamina C e una tazza di Tè verde senza zucchero, per prevenire il diabete.

Tutti i giorni dobbiamo bere due litri d'acqua anche se poi espellerli richiede il doppio del tempo che hai messo per berli.

Tutti i giorni bisogna bere un Actimel o mangiare uno yogurt per avere i "L. Cassei Defensis", che nessuno sa bene che cosa cavolo siano, però sembra che se non ti ingoi per lo meno un milione e mezzo di questi bacilli tutti i giorni, inizi a vedere sfocato.

Ogni giorno un'aspirina, per prevenire l'ictus, e un bicchiere di vino rosso, per prevenire contro l'infarto. E un altro di bianco, per il sistema nervoso. E uno di birra, che già non mi ricordo a che cosa serva. Se li bevi tutti insieme, ti può provocare un'emorragia cerebrale, ma non ti preoccupare perché non te ne renderai neppure conto...

Tutti i giorni bisogna mangiare fibra. Molta, moltissima fibra, finché riesci a evacuare un maglione.

Si devono fare tra i 4 e 6 pasti quotidiani, leggeri, senza dimenticare di masticare 100 volte ogni boccone. Facendo i calcoli, solo per mangiare se ne vanno 5 ore. Ah, e dopo ogni pranzo bisogna lavarsi i denti, ossia che dopo l'Actimel e la fibra lavati i denti, dopo la mela i denti, dopo la banana i denti... e così via finché ti rimangono tre denti in bocca, senza dimenticarti di usare il filo interdentale, massaggiare le gengive, il risciacquo col colluttorio... Meglio ampliare il bagno e metterci il lettore di CD, perché tra l'acqua, le fibre e i denti, ci passerai varie ore.

Bisogna dormire otto ore e lavorare altre otto, più le 5 necessarie per mangiare, 21. Te ne rimangono 3, sempre che non ci sia traffico. Secondo le statistiche, vediamo la televisione per tre ore al giorno. Ma no! Non si può, perché tutti i giorni bisogna camminare almeno mezz'ora.

Bisogna mantenere le amicizie perché sono come le piante: bisogna innaffiarle tutti i giorni per mantenerle in vita.

Inoltre, bisogna tenersi informati, e leggere per lo meno due giornali e un paio di articoli di rivista, per una lettura critica.

Ah!, si deve fare sesso tutti i giorni, però senza cadere nella routine: bisogna essere innovatori, creativi, e rinnovare la seduzione.

Tutto questo ha bisogno di tempo. E senza parlare del sesso tantrico.

Bisogna anche avere il tempo di scopare per terra, spolverare, lavare i piatti, i panni, stirare e non parliamo se hai dei figli o un cane.

Insomma, per farla breve, i conti danno 29 ore al giorno. Non c’è niente da fare: devi fare varie cose insieme. Si chiama multitasking, non c’è altra soluzione! Per esempio, ti fai la doccia con acqua fredda e con la bocca aperta, così almeno ti bevi i due litri canonici. Mentre esci dal bagno con lo spazzolino in bocca e fai l’amore (tantrico) con il compagno/a che nel frattempo guarda la TV e ti racconta, mentre tu lavi il pavimento. Ti rimane una mano libera? Chiama i genitori o qualche amico. Dopo aver chiamato i genitori, avrai senz’altro bisogno di un goccio di vino per tirarti su. Il Bio Puritas con la mela te lo può dare il partner, mentre si mangia la banana con l’Actimel, e domani fate il cambio.

Mi è venuta la confusione mentale.

Adesso ti lascio, perché tra lo yogurt, la mela, la birra, il primo litro d’acqua e il terzo pasto con fibra della giornata, già non so più cosa sto facendo. So che devo andare urgentemente in bagno. E ne approfitto per lavarmi i denti. Però, se ti rimangono due minuti liberi, invia una copia ai tuoi amici, che devono essere annaffiati come una pianta.

Se ti avessi già mandato questo messaggio, perdonami. È l’Alzheimer che, nonostante tutte le cure, non sono ancora riuscita a debellare.

Through the Years

You were 3 and Branch was 5 when Grandma died. It was just you two. You watched as your older brother lost his colors. You were so scared. Branch saw this and promised he would never let anything happen to you. You were all he had left. Grandma's death effected you a lot, just not to the extent that it effected Branch. You were afraid of everything, never wanting to leave Branch's side. He preferred this anyways.

You Age 7 and Branch age 9

You ran into the bunker crying. Branch ran into the main room. "Y/N what's wrong?!" He exclaimed seeing you covered in scratches, dirt and slightly bleeding. "I w-as col-lecting berries and some sp-id-ers attac-ked me." You hiccuped. Branch got a napkin and wiped your tears away. "I told you to wait for me before you went to go get the berries." He whispered grabbing a warm bowl of water with a rag and a first aid kit. He rung out the rag and started wiping the wet rag over your face to get rid of the dirt. "I wanted to surprise you and show I'm getting big and help you." You pouted, sniffling. "You do so much. Maybe if I helped more maybe your colors would come back..." You looked down. Branch's heart swelled. He kissed your forehead. You looked at him shocked. "You're growing up too quickly. Stop it." He said smiling as he cleaned your scrapes. You giggled.

You age 10 Branch age 12

Branch laughed. You had made a dance number to your favourite song. You wore a silly outfit and danced horribly. Branch knew he had to help your dancing ability. You stroked your ending pose.

Branch fell on the floor laughing his hardest. "Did you like it?!" You exclaimed jumping up and down. Branch wiped his tears getting up. "It was amazing. But let me help you improve the dancing. Your voice is amazing but your moves..." He teased. The rest of the day Branch showed you to do the moves better. This was the first time in 5 years you had seen him dance again. "Just like that see." He said turning to you. However, he froze seeing tears in your eyes. "What's wrong! I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.!" He exclaimed hugging you. "No, no. You used to dance and sing all the time before Grandma... I just missed this." You mumbled hugging him.

You age 14 Branch age 16

It was Branch's 16th birthday. You had gotten up at 4. Branch gets up at 6 am everyday so you wanted his birthday breakfast ready before he got up. You had been practicing this breakfast for the past month after he's gone the bed to make sure it's perfect. It was about 5:55 when you had finished. You made for the both of you eggs Benedict, blueberry scones, fresh apple juice and bagels with an assortment of jams. "Morning Y/N, why are yo-" He stopped mid sentence when he saw the dining room table. His eyes watered and looked at you. "Happy Birthday Branch!"

You age 18 and Branch age 20

You layed on your bed, covers over your head. You sniffled. You had just got back from what was supposed to be your 1 year anniversary date with your partner. "Hey." Branch said softly holding two cups of hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream. He placed them on your bedside table. You curled into a tighter ball. Branch sighed sitting on your bed. You slowly pulled the blanket off your face. Your cheeks were puffy, tear marks ran down your face and your eyes were bloodshot. "What happened?" He asked pulling your head onto his lap. "They broke up with me. They love someone else." You whispered burying your head into his stomach. This irked Branch. This low life scum hurting his baby sibling. "When I see this punk again I swear." He grumbled rubbing your back. This made you giggle slightly. "I made your favorite, hot chocolate." He whispered brushing your hair. You rolled over and sat up. You smiled taking it. You knew you'd always be able to count on your big brother.
