we really do grow around grief.

i wish i could say i miss you,

i didn’t get to know you.

i only have scarce memories

of the good person i’m sure you were.

i feel great regret in

not getting to know you better.

but i didn’t understand that, one day,

you would get snatched away from me

and i would never see you again.

i want you to know

i’ll never forget you

and i’ll be sure to treasure the

moments we had together.

my adorable grandparents,

i wish you didn’t go so soon.

my dearest grandpa,
