Today we celebrate World Emoji Day. “Plane” from emojination series 2016 With a series of photos where emoji appear unnaturally, mimetic blends into our reality that symbolizes photography, I would like to point out their diffusion in culture and society, how emotion has become a part of our daily lives, we do not notice them and We use every day. This is also an attempt to answer the question of what will continue with the future of emoji, a surreal vision of the world, these kitsch graphics are supposed to be a mirror of the world, its imitation, but soon there may be a time when the roles will be reversed and the world will be imitated and resembled To emoji This can happen, for example, by converting emoji into a new language, like a picture script, or to deplete our language because for what purpose we should write a few words when we replace it with one graphic. On the other hand, it is also an attempt to show a world full of idealized elements that symbolize emotion. We strive for a utopian world where every element is to be perfect, spotless, just like emoji, which were created after the elements of our world.

contemporary, Kushtrim Thaqi
two points one, one line two lines, the canvas is filled with it. a hundred a thousand 4. and the shapes become what they're supposed to be.
one line is one: blue, red, violet, pink... it matters not. one point is one: pink, violet, red, blue... it matters not.
even artists are done with this. even artists are done with it.

The Brain Scoop: Is Taxidermy ART?
We talk a lot about the scientific merit for taxidermy and habitat dioramas - and I’m a bit bias (I mean.... we didn’t crowd source a brand new diorama for some striped hyenas for nothin’). But given the extreme skill and talent required to create good taxidermy - how does it fit in the broader conversation about contemporary art? Is it art? -- and who decides?
We went to the World Taxidermy Championships in Peoria, Illinois to ask the taxidermists themselves!
This is our second video from the WTC; the first is here: I Waited 4+ Years For This: The World Taxidermy Championships!
Do you think taxidermy is a valid form of art?

Martin Luther is regarded as the premier reformer of the sixteenth century. While he did encourage many English reformers, he heavily disapproved of their monarch. He called Henry a "pig, dolt and a liar". Although he conveniently excused him whenever he was listening to his reformist councilors. For his part, the holy Roman Emperor was appalled by how he treated his "favorite" aunt, Katherine of Aragon, and his cousin, Princess Mary Tudor (later Mary I of England), but went out of his way to excuse his behavior and forget his transgressions (even though his female relatives did not) when he needed his help against France. For this reason, it is important to not be overly critical of any contemporary source, while also not take it at its every word. Henry VIII did things that put the country in jeopardy, and were rightfully condemned by his contemopraries. Yet, he was also a cunning foe who knew how to use canon and civic law to impose the rule of law, and strengthened his supremacy. Unfortunately, besides casting two wives aside and executing two, Henry is also defined by his corpulent figure and violent mood swings in the last decade of his reign. No one was safe. The young man who was joyfully cheered at his coronation, had become feared. It is also during this time, that Henry VIII appears more larger-than-life than ever before on portraits, more like a man thinking of himself as a god rathern a king.
