"Sorry, not been around doors for a while." The monks preferred to just keep everything open. "You're a lawyer, right? I think I might need some help."
"Didn't anyone teach you to knock first?"

When: Present Day {Post-Kill Krew Canon} Where: New York - Streets With: Matt @devilxfhxllskxtchen
Shockingly, Foggy’s phone had survived all the crap he’d been through and when he was unceremoniously dropped off in New York again a couple of dozen increasingly worried messages from several people came through... How was he gonna explain this? At least he had photo evidence. Looking up he realised he was attracting several odd looks and then realised why... His clothes were torn and dirty and he had a super-long sweatband around his forehead with ribbons trailing to his waist and was covered in cuts and bruises... That and he was holding a big-ass sword. Okay time to lay low.
He ducked into the closest ally and did the first thing he could think of: text Matt his location and told him to hurry and meet him as soon as possible. Not more than five minutes later a panting Matt flipped from a fire escape into the ally and nearly gave him a heart attack. “Jesus Matty!” he cried, dropping the sword he’d just picked up in surprise.
“Okay, I have some explaining to do but first things first, this wasn’t my fault and I could really use a hug right now.” Needless to say his ‘trip’ had been a little terrifying and he could use a hug right now.

When: Present Day Where: Star City - Back Alley With: Matt @devilxfhxllskxtchen
There were several very public figures within Star City whom Chou was certain could cause large difficulties to his drug trade, but given the chaotic nature of the space he was relying on other more obvious issues to attract their attention while he quietly built further influence across the streets with the aid of his new partner.
Said partner had helpfully passed on pertinent information regarding an old enemy of himself and The Hand. While Chou had never been a hard member of the group their centuries long alliance had curious about one who may have played a part in despatching several Fingers in New York. All he knew though, was that this figure need not ‘see’ him in order to fight. The wording had left him curious but was enough to encourage Chou to forge his efforts elsewhere should a mysterious figure need dealing with.
He was currently residing in an abandoned warehouse at the docks, several of his staff running through the city, delivering, running and selling his product. One such individual was several blocks away and currently pinned against an alley wall by an intimidating figure, babbling nervously. ‘H-Hey man- If the price is t-too high I can negotiate yea? Seriously I got you, no need to get crazy-’

Tony & Matt @ofdcvils
Star City was going to take some getting used to, Tony figured. It was a much different place than New York, and he didn’t know if that was a good or bad thing.
Still, he knew why he was here—to begin making apologies to those who he had wronged by siding with the hero ban. Tony was no longer an active hero; no longer an Avenger, but he knew he would side with the men and women he fought with in the past if they needed him.
After all, the penthouse he’d rented was lined with several suits, all standing at attention and waiting to be called into service.
Tony shouldn’t have been surprised when he came across Matt Murdock while he was exiting a cafe, a well manicured brow perked in the man’s direction. All the heroes from New York had seemingly relocated.
“Matt Murdock, one fine Hell’s Kitchen lawyer.” He said, jogging up to him. “What brings you out here?”

It was a matter of time before Matt had to take Josh up on his open offer of medical assistance. He’d hoped it wouldn’t be this soon, though. He liked to think he was a good fighter, but he tended to overestimate his ability not to get injured. This was one of those times. He won, but when he’d got up to drag himself back onto campus, he’d noticed that it hurt to breathe. Matt wasn’t about to roll up at a hospital and have them ask a bunch of questions. If someone had to know - he was still reasonably sure he could talk his way out of this - it would be best if it was another student with powers. They’d understand why he wanted to keep it secret. Somehow, he’d managed to get into the student accommodation area with nobody noticing him. Pulled his blindfold off, now that he was on reasonably safe territory. Except, now he heard movement. Movement that was close by enough to see him. Being dressed in black and leaning against the wall for support was going to need a lot of explaining. “Who’s there?” He breathed out, wincing at the movement. Ok. Hurts to talk as well. Perfect. He’s probably broken something.
Josh had been out later than usual, the library had a new shipment of books in meant for next year but he’d managed to cajole a few medical texts out of the receptionist. They were actually quite friendly now, they'd seen so much of each other after all. He hefted his full bag over his shoulder and entered the housing building, debating between reading a new book or watching a little TV in the common area, it was probably empty about this time, when he felt his stomach drop a little and by now he knew what that meant. Someone was hurt. Someone very close by for him to be able to tell. He jogged up the stairs and came to a stop when he saw... Matt? Leaning against a door. It didn’t look like him though, he was dressed in all black, holding something in his hand and his glasses were gone too, the hell had happened? And... “Broken rib?” he said quietly, more to himself than the other. He looked up at Matt and ran close, “Mr. Murdock, are you alright?” Stupid question, he knew the answer, “It’s me, Josh. How on earth did this happen to you? C’mon, my room’s just here, let me get you inside.” he put an arm around the guys waist and rested his arm over his shoulder before moving them down the corridor towards his room.

@trxplehelix gets a starter
“Let me get this straight,” the bartender started with a stern voice, studying the boy with his blue eyes. “You want me to serve you a drink? Is that even legal? What’s it gonna be next? Want me to rob a bank or something? Do you have any idea how much trouble that could bring me?”
There was a silence, thick and heavy falling upon them as Ray kept staring, judging, trying to disuade the other with nothing else than his look... For just a few seconds, that is. The harsh attitude was dropped immediately as he leaned over the counter.
“Nah, I’m just kidding. What are you feeling like today? Jack? Tequila? Mojitos? My Jäger bombs are legendary.”

“-And therefore a mutations manifestation can be in itself a traumatic even that is worth gifting with extenuating circumstances for some cases of property destruction or injury. Thank you.”
Linda finished her presentation to a polite applause and stepped down from the podium; law conferences weren’t usually her area of expertise but given how often she’d helped solve crimes back in LA she’d been asked to speak here. Given the tense relations between humans and mutants she figured it could be a good platform to put some positive ideas forward.
She was running over the idea in her head when she bumped into someone, saw glasses and a cane and immediately felt like an ass.
“Oh, I’m so sorry Sir, I didn’t bump you hard I hope? You haven’t dropped anything? I really need to pay more attention when I’m walking.”

“Matthew Michael Murdock.” Yes Foggy was middle-naming his best friend and he had on his serious face. “I love you and appreciate all the help but medical professionals have declared me fit to be outta this hospital so I swear to whatever deity that’s listening if you don’t stop hovering like I’m going to collapse any second I may have to punch you in your perfect abs.” he deadpanned, turning to give Matt a raised eyebrow.
“The wound barely twinges now.” And by ‘barely twinges’ he meant felt like a hot fire poker was hitting him when he turned wrong but he was managing. He was out of bed and walking fine and so grateful to be back in pants, those hospital gowns were not pleasant. “So let’s just get me home and I’ll rest up then it’s back to work tomorrow. You need me in that joint and I’ve already been away too long.”

The Devil & The Butterfly || Matt & Chou
When: Present Day (Evening) Where: Star City - Docks (Chou’s Warehouse) With: Matt @daringdcvils
As far as Chou was concerned, things were progressing well, his drug was infiltrating more and more of the city and, as was to be expected, beginning to lure in some wealthier faces who were all the more easily exploited. He was making more and more and every penny would ensure the world was a better place; it was quite an elegant scenario really, the vagrants and hypocrites in exchange for the safety of their planet.
He was concealed in his office at the top of the warehouse drafting a speech for a Green Conference next week when he began to hear a disturbance on the work floor below, some screams, the sound of something breaking, and as he rose to his feet one of his enforcers slammed open the door.
‘Sir!’ He yelled in Japanese, ‘There is a man! He’s attacking the others, the workers have fled.’
Chou calmly looked at the man, “Misaki, take the others and gather up the workers, see to it they’re protected while I deal with this issue.”
‘Yes Sir.’ He bowed and scuttled out of the room.
Chou made no outward movement but several illusory butterflies began to manifest around him at the same time the sound of a few hand bells rang out. By the time he walked out of his office he’d taken the appearence of a much older man with hair to his shoulder blades and a beard to his chest. Looking over the bannister he saw the figure in question had one of his enforcers against a wall with a fist raised to strike but had already paused, and was looking at him.
“The disrespect you have shown my workers and my guards is most uncouth.” he said, not moving his mouth since the English words were just another illusion, spoken at a much deeper tenor than his usual voice. “But then I have discovered that manners are so often lacking in the people of this country.”

“Option 2: ghosts aren’t real and it’s almost impossible to get a moment alone around here.”
“Don’t sass me.” Josh scolded, “I’ll leave you alone once I’m certain you’re not injured. I don’t know if you’ve been out... doing stuff, since last time.”

@ofdcvils Liked for a starter! :D
It had been a few days since the party from hell and Foggy looked.... like hell. His eyes were both black and puffy enough that seeing out of them was a little more difficult; his nose was taped up and breathing through it wasn’t exactly fun either. In essence he looked like shit but worked needed to be done. Worst of all was the unsettling image, just as flash, of himself looking up during the party to see Matt bearing down on him with a raised fist.
But that’s all it was, maybe Matt was saving him? He wouldn’t hurt him... but that gas had made people do things, he’d been told after, things they’d never normally do and now... his gut wouldn’t stop twisting. He walked into their office and stilled just for a moment when he saw Matt was already there.
“Hey Buddy,” his voice a little more nasal than usual thanks to his nose, “Getting an early start huh, makes me think I shouldn’t have bothered coming in.” Humour, sarcasm, he could work in those,
