The official headCanon for Corey x Tyler 🕸️🛹
(you don’t have to take this seriously, this is just for fun)
• So, I personally think that after the event of the movie a few months or so and Chrissy realize that they were really going to last long as a couple, so they break up and moves back to Indiana and it’s leaves Corey heartbroken.
•But you know his friends are going to help him though it, especially Tyler. He would round up the guys to make sure Corey wouldn’t alone for a second thought the whole break up, I’m talking hunging around the city, staking on their ramp, getting food.
•After a while it would work, but Corey still missed Chrissy and would mope about it sometimes even thinking about going to Indiana to find Chrissy and get back together. But his friends told that a bad idea and would a long drive to Indiana or a bus ride, so Corey didn’t go through with it.
•One night in the trailer, Tyler checked up on him and they talk for a bit which led to him asking why does Corey like Chrissy so much? He later told him why and maybe it was the memories of her or lack of sleep, but one thing led to another and Corey kissed him. Both felt overwhelmed with emotions, friends don’t kiss each other? It was just the heat of the moment thing? Right?
• Days went by and the thought of them kissing never went away and pretended nothing happened that night and chalked it up to kissing out of pity. Which made Tyler feel weird was that all he was? Just someone to kiss out of pity because Corey got dumped? It made him wish that Chrissy would never have left Corey and went back home.
• And it didn’t help that Corey was avoiding him, not talking, avoiding his touch whenever he touched his shoulder or just not looking at him. It made Corey heart sink in his chest when he saw Tyler he has always been there for Corey to have fun, to laugh, even going as far to help him through his heartbreak!
• They couldn’t take it anymore and decided to finally talk to each other on their new ramp and shared a kiss, a real tender kiss. Later they started to experiment with dating each other when the others were busy so they could finally tell them that they were dating.
• After telling them that they were dating they at first thought it was joke, but they started to support them even going to call Tyler Corey’s little cheerleader must to Tyler’s embarrassment.

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real Cut Loose at Webster Hall on Saturday Night
Tumblr media
Lukas Nelson – Webster Hall – November 18, 2023
It’s been a few years since Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real last visited Webster Hall and what feels like a lifetime of world tumult, happenings and music that’s passed since then. That the songs from the band’s crisp 2023 release, Sticks & Stones, sound like people eager to break out and boogie is probably not an accident, but then Nelson and his snappy country-rock squad have always walked the line between wistful-moving and barroom-blastoff — better than most. They’re love-me-tender when they want to be, with a joyful, almost goofy earnestness. They can deliver sad songs that hit the feels. And they can rock your face off.
Tumblr media
There’s a lot of Nelson’s dad, Willie, and a lot of occasional employer Neil Young, and a little of other obvious touchstones like Tom Petty in what they do, but these days POTR sound most like one of the best live bands of the past decade, never leaving behind their party-hardy roots, keeping the rock part of folk-rock firmly in mind, writing better and better songs that adequately pace a lip smackingly fun show. On Saturday they once again got after it, nailing the newer tunes and finding new excitement in the old ones. Opener “Entirely Different Stars” began mysterious, got to a crowd-stoking boogie and ended with a psychedelic guitar breakdown. “Sticks and Stones” had double-barreled piano and plenty of saloon in it to push the song forward. Nelson was rocking so hard during the fist-pumping “Four Letter Word” that his signature hat flew off. The early POTR favorite “All the Pretty Horses” underscored just how far the band’s come in their command of their own dynamics, starting quietly solo, patiently building to a full-band sound that filled up the room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those were just part of the action. The tunes that at this point might be called the POTR classics — including stinging-sweet “Forget About Georgia,” groovy “Find Yourself,” country-gospel “Set Me Down on a Cloud” — all delivered, as they always do. But the band went deeper still, especially Nelson himself, who delivered a good chunk of the set solo, near-solo and acoustic, either guitar or piano, and left the room spellbound with the sentimental “Smile,” the proud “Just Outside of Austin” and the achingly beautiful parent-to-child-benediction “Giving You Away,” shimmering with steel from multi-instrumentalist Logan Metz. There were surprises, too: The brilliant NYC-based soulful R&B singer Emily King joined Nelson to duet on what was described as a new song, loaded with New York-centric lyrics.  As ever Nelson and the POTR band — Metz, Corey McCormick, Anthony LoGerfo, Tato Melgar, aces, all — brought things to a blowout finale, barreling through the hilarious “Wrong House,” a nifty segue from their own galloping “Ladder of Love” into Willie’s “Bloody Mary Morning” and then “Find Yourself” to close the set. It was as full and varied a show as POTR have ever played here. We wrote of this same band at this same venue in 2019 that they’d “earned their swagger.” In 2023, they totally own it. —Chad Berndtson | @Cberndtson

Country & Southern Pop Songstress Brei Carter Announces Debut Holiday EP, Twinkling Tales Of Christmas, Due Out Nov. 10
Tumblr media
Crossover country and southern pop recording artist, and U.S. Army veteran Brei Carter just can’t wait to usher in the holiday season with her new seven song debut Christmas EP, Twinkling Tales of Christmas, due out November 24 by Brown Lee Entertainment. Known for having a festive and vivacious personality year round, Carter’s new EP is a multi-faceted genre hopping collection of originals which draws upon her established country, southern pop, soul and R&B musical influences. Twinkling Tales of Christmas presents a sonic journey through the festive season, taking its listener through a range of emotions and paying homage to the warmth, joy, and shared experiences that define that special time of year. The new EP is anchored by the festive, “Santa Wontcha” which she released as a single in Christmas of 2022, and is set to relaunch the song’s music video this November. Carter co-wrote “Santa Woncha” with Nashville hit songwriter Corey Lee Barker. Barker also has writing credits on the other tracks along with songwriting standouts Lucas Hoge and Ava Paige. “There’s just something magical about the Christmas season,” Carter said with a smile. “With the sparkling and fascinating Christmas lights, the love dancing in the air, and moments of sharing, caring, or giving, I just live for it all. These precious gestures create unforgettable joy-filled memories that warm our hearts throughout the year, and I hope my first collection of Christmas originals does the same for my listener. ” EP name: Twinkling Tales Of Christmas Release date: Nov. 10, 2023 Audio produced by: Jason Wyatt Pre-save/Stream/Buy: orcd.co/breicartertwinklingtalesofchristmas Official video: “Santa Woncha” Track Listing & Songwriters - “50 Shades of Christmas” (Liz Moriondo, Corey Lee Barker) - “Bow On You” (Andi Renfree, Ava Paige, Corey Lee Barker) - “Christmas Is You” (Liz Moriondo, Lucas Hoge, Corey Lee Barker) - “Laid Back Christmas” (Randy Barnette, Gabriella Metz, Corey Lee Barker) - “Old Fashioned Christmas” (Aly Cutter, David Norris, Corey Lee Barker) - “Santa Woncha” (Brei Carter, Corey Lee Barker, Jason Wyatt)  - “Welcome To Wonderland” (Brei Carter, Corey Lee Barker) About Brei Carter: Emerging crossover country and southern pop recording artist Brei Carter is proof that sometimes faith, patience and time pays off. Growing up in Monroe, Louisiana with a solid, southern upbringing, Brei’s family raised her on several authentic southern staples: the Bible, Lone Star Missionary Baptist Church’s choir, Charley Pride, Loretta Lynn, Aretha Franklin, and no shortage of familial love and devotion. However, before she became the dynamic and vivacious country singer she is today, Brei was busy earning a Bachelors in Business from University of Louisiana in Monroe, a Masters in International Relations from Webster University, and a Doctorate in Theology from New Foundation Theological Seminary. She is also a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, where she served as an enlisted soldier and as an officer. Having moved to Nashville soon thereafter, Brei has quickly established herself in the songwriters community as a smooth and sometimes edgy songstress who melds country, soul and southern pop into one fused style. Her first single at country radio “Gave Him A Girl” was immediately recognized as “cute and catchy” by country music journalist and historian Robert K. Oermann from Music Row Magazine. She’s also been featured by TBN-TV’s Huckabee, RFD-TV, WSMV-TV, WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour, Billboard, Guitar Girl Magazine, Nashville.com, St. Louis Magazine, and others. Brei made her CMA Fest debut in 2022, and released her debut album Brand New Country, which included her fan-favorite cover of Charley Pride’s “Kiss an Angel Good Mornin,” and her life’s musical story “Stronger Than That.” In 2023 Brei is currently working on her next new album, and has released her latest original, “Straight Up Country Crazy,” which perfectly showcases her dynamic and jovial personality. Carter has quickly proved to be a welcomed addition to the emerging new styles of country music blossoming in today’s diverse musical landscape. Read the full article

Gushing over the goonies- semi review?
Tumblr media
Originally I was going to make this my usual full on review, which have been lacking lately and that’s on me. However it’s not the first time I’ve seen the movie, the first time had to be over 10 years ago when I was extremely young, so Instead here’s me just gushing about how freaking amazing it is.
Genuinely funny-
This movie is just the funniest thing I’ve seen in awhile. Honestly comedy in older movies is completely unrivaled, I like my lack of feral kids and the oldest ™️ (turns out brand was 16 shsksksksk). without a doubt I think the best scene in the whole movie is
Chunk describing the Fratelli’s to the Fratelli’s and the light kicks on, he starts singing in Hebrew under his breath, the one starts Italian opera singing and this kid loses his fucking mind. It shouldn’t have made me laugh half as hard as it did but holy shit
It had good physical comedy, great lines and jokes. Like the repeating gag of Mikey mixing up words and brand correcting him and the same thing happening with their mother. Smart humor, dumb humor , semi slap stick. It has everything and I adore it, here’s a few lines I wrote down because they’re great
“It’s my moms most favorite piece!” “You wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t-.” “Shut up mouth!”
Mouth using his Spanish skills for evil
“Shit ,ma”
“I cannot believe you actually have something this cool in your house”
“Here hold this” to chunk
“Well, it took them a couple of weeks... but they caught up to em.”
“No sir she’s down at the market buying pampers for all us kids”
“And never get their balls out!”
“Oh god am I depressed!”*shoots whip cream directly in mouth*
“You’ve got to learn to exercise like a normal person”
“It’s gone stiff!” *ALL SCREAM*
Just the “yea, that’s what I said” gag
Martian sheen
“This is the MENS room”
The sets the atomsphere! -
Oh my god just, the sets in this movie is amazing. The neighborhood alone I get such a feel for everyone, like how buildings reflect personality and kinda how people are sort of thing? How the houses are all together creating a close knit group. Just the beautiful scenery of outside and then the just the underground. The tunnels , the waterfall , the pirate ship cave is just so stunning? They didn’t need to go half as hard as they did
Relationships-
It has just the dynamics, the dynamics are golden. I like how the relationships are very real and life like and not the overly friendly weirdly chummy thing you see in a lot of movies? Like they’ll all In unison call you a dumbass but it’s clear your loved etc. Also the major major props that Brand and Mikey act like actually freaking siblings. Which I also gave that props to Sam and Micheal Emerson in the lost boys. As honestly a lot of movies have siblings way to friendly and chill, where’s my get in a huge fight only to later be hanging out with each other, no apologies or hugging it out just instantaneously back to normal.
Also what was the weird thing going on with Mouth and stef? There’s definitely more there but I feel like there’s a few scenes or something we’re missing?
Charecters -
COREY WEBSTER FROM THRASHIN’ ?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love brand even more no. He’s always been my favorite but now he’s my extra favorite. Sjsksksksksk
Also I would like to publicly apologize to data for calling him Shorty the whole movie. It’s the same actor ok
