Unfortunately, we do not get any more details on his profile. It’s the same as the profile he had before the update. Age and birthplace unknown, 185 cm tall, favorite food is wild game, and his hobby is vacationing.

SDFHEGYOGYFQEN;jkhaCWIDODB A LOT OF CROWLEY'S LINES ARE VERY CHILDISH OR GOOFY... Like he has one where he complains about Grim eating his snacks, tells on students who are sleeping in class, and gets distracted by shiny objects (which, I guess, is par for the course for a crow).

Crowley cannot attend Alchemy class and does not have Chats. His Buddies are Deuce, Vil, and Grim (with Grim being his Duo Magic partner). Deuce and Vil are interesting choices, I wonder why those two in particular... (Some friends and I were memeing earlier about how "all those characters have single parents so Crowley must be a single parent" and, "Vil is the Evil Queen and Meleanor is a princess of evil", etc.) Crowley can, however, attend the other lessons and it’s every bit as awkward as you think it is. (He has a pre-lesson line where he expresses surprise taht he has to do homework 🤡)

THE CROWLEY DOPPLEGANGER ALLEGATIONS ARE TRUE 💀 He can just straight up run into a clone of himself during lessons… THE DEVS KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, they even goofily have Crowley say, “Oh! Hello, me!” while the other Crowley is in class for the special lesson… THEY KNEW HOW DUMB THIS WOULD BE 😭 (The dialogue states the Crowley that barges into class is a magical projection…?)

Here are some of his chibi sprites, as well as his Groovy candy. Crowley is not only very yasashii, but also very cute!!

He does, in fact, have vignettes but they are unvoiced. The first part is him running an assembly with the dorm leaders present. Crowley discusses the health of an adolescent apple tree in the school's courtyard, and no one seems to be interested in his speech. Malleus barges in late and, in a fit of anger at having not been invited, starts unleashing lightning. Wow, just like how Meleanor shoots lightning at Lilia... Like husband, like wife/j Everyone retires to their dorms, leaving Crowley to deal with an upset Malleus. The second part features Crowley having lunch with the other staff members (Sam included!). Each staff member is eating something different (Vargas is of course having eggs), and Crowley is revealed to have a great appetite in spite of his age. Crewel and Trein wonder how many decades old Crowley is, since he was apparently still headmaster when Crewel was a student and when Trein started teaching at NRC. Finally, Crowley is walking down main street and spots Yuu, Grim, and some mob students skipping class… so he uses his Lash of Love to discipline them! He binds everyone together and proceeds to drag them back to class. (It was surprising, we haven’t seen the Lash of Love since like… what, the prologue? I almost forgot about it.) Crowley alludes to the fact that even though the students joke about him, he is actually a very powerful mage that shouldn't be taken lightly, you know?? The vignettes end with Crowley referring to his students as "apple trees" that he is nourishing and watching over as they grow, which rounds us nicely back to the apple tree he mentioned in his first vignette.

BUT ANYWay HEREmS thE GROOviY in JUICy DETAIL INkjoW YOU WERE ALL WAiTING FOR

It’s so pretty AaAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaAaaAHHHHH 🥺 His grotesquely detailed hand reaching out to the viewer, who appears to be awaking from within a coffin… and do I have to mention the parallel between Crowley here and the mysterious hand that is offered to us in the mirror at the very beginning of the game????? Which could imply that Crowley is beckoning/summoning us into another world... The dim room, light spilling onto the Mirror of Darkness… So atmospheric!! If Crowley knows how to do one thing well and consistently, it’s drama~ The Groovy totally reminds me a lot of the prologue when Crowley tells Yuu to go before the mirror to get sorted. Omg guys... He's posted like Masquerade Malleus/j

One detail I super appreciate in this illustration is that you can see the dorm leaders in the background! If you squint, you’ll realize that there are 5 of them posing exactly like how they are in the following promotional artwork:

The thing is, I always used to defend taylor from slut shaming bc ofc that’s gross and yes, especially when she was in her younger 20’s, it was very much like every other 20 year old in college or something - someone asks you out, you go on a few dates, you don’t see it going anywhere, you stop and try again, and then that would make it SEEM like she had a million more “boyfriends” than she actually did. Sure, that’s fair enough. but her behavior after Joe is what really opened my eyes — she CANNOT be single. She can’t handle it. She’s desperate unlike anything I’ve ever seen. experience in RP — honestly i've been rping since i was probably too young to rp on the internet 💀 i started on deviantart (which like. oops but also i was like 9) and then started rping on tumblr likeee ~2015 or so. i actually first started writing Kaki on tumblr in like 2016, and then kinda started writing on twitter in 2019 when the RPC on here started to wane from its peak. i came back very recently because i got tired of the limitations of writing on twitter

best experiences — as of recent, i've had a few really really fun crossover threads on twitter that will stay with me forever atp. one was a real slowburn romance plot with a spike spiegel, and another was of isekai plot with desmond miles from assassin's creed that ended up being really fun and sweet. i also have a really cute ship going with a friend's DB OC on twitter, too. oh kaki and her tendency to adopt men two heads taller than her ❤️

pet peeves/dealbreakers — trying to force OOC scenarios/behaviors onto kaki or otherwise just making it clear you don't respect her character outside of writing will really sour me in terms of trying for future interactions. i doubt this will happen here as it's mostly a problem i've had on twitter but JUST IN CASE!!! i'm mostly talking stuff like, oversexualizing her because she has muscles ("step on me, m*mmy" & such comments are a HUGE no-no), assuming she's overly aggressive/belligerent, or on the flip-side, babying her like she's a cutesy helpless waif. she is a 30+ year old woman with thoughts and feelings and i would like her autonomy to be respected.

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — HONESTLY i'm down with anything as long as it's interesting. on my own i tend to write adventure-drama type plots (the dbz fic i'm working on is just a space opera tbh) with a splash of horror of some flavor, usually with anti-capitalist/fascist/imperialist messaging. i think the one thing i should mention is that i do really enjoy when there's a conflict or overarching storyline happening in longer plotted threads; it just keeps me more engaged.

plot or memes — both are good and work tbh. memes can be good for breaking the ice or actually figuring out a dynamic in practice, but if we want to go for something more in-depth, i do prefer some plotting (even if it's just planning points A and B and then just improvising how our muses get there)

Tell me about the culture in your world in regards to death and the afterlife.

i.e. what are the most common beliefs about it, is there fear surrounding death or something else, are there any gods of death and how to people in your world feel about them, is there an afterlife that people believe in and how does it work, what rituals and practices are there in regards to the dead (burials, mummification, burying them with important objects, burning the body, etc), and anything else you would like to share

It took me forever to answer because I actually had to think about this one, but here I am 😅 I went into details for two species instead of the 5 (vampires, Faes, mermaids, werewolves & witches) I had in mind, because I need to think more about the others, but I hope you'll like it anyway ^^

So... The thing about La Fledgling is that it's a story about endings. Lou is immortal, Jo is not. Lou (and most of their friends) will live forever or something close to forever, Jo will die. She has limited time and so much to do, which means that, concrètement, she hasn't really thought about what comes after.

(Which means that I, the author, hadn't thought about it either, but let's blame it on the character, shall we? 💀)

So... Death...

For the vampires:

Vampires can die (insert *people die if they are killed* meme here), as vampires tend to do in other fantasy stories. So decapitation, silver, symbols of faith (and real faith, just waving a symbol won't work - you have to believe), fire, sunlight, stake through the heart... the classics will work, but if you really want to be original and take them by surprise, you could also poison them through the blood servants they feed from. I'm just throwing this out there, no reason.

Several vampire families were killed during the hunter/vampire wars, entire Coven burnt to the ground, knowledge evaporated, entire lignées brought to the brink of extinction. Needless to say, it terrified the vampires who then decided to retire from the public eye and live secular lives among themselves, where they don't have to interact with humans (much. Feeding is another story entirely).

They feared death during these few centuries when it came knocking at their doors, but during the novel, none of the vampires think about death as something that concerns them. Death is something humans and semi-mortal creatures go through, and something that happened to them a thousand years ago.

There is no afterlife for vampires, because they are not supposed to die.

For the Fae:

Fae live until they get tired of living, at which point they can choose between several options :

become a tree -> really popular, as long as it's not in the moral realm because on Earth you tree might be cut down and you will spend the rest of eternity as a very ugly couch or coffee table

spend a few years as an animal and live as a cryptid in either the fae realm or on Earth (I'm not saying le Dahu is a Fae but... yeah that's exactly what I'm saying) -> marginally less popular and often time not the definitive choice. Old Faes who don't know if they really want to "fade away" or not will spend a few decades or centuries as an owl, a cat or some kind of made up animal/creature, and when their time is up, they'll seen if they want to go for option 1 (*be the seed*), option 2 (go back to their ancient life and keep on living until they get bored again) or option 3 (below)

reincarnate -> the least popular choice by far (Iris Adam, who chose to get reincarnated 250 times is an outlier and shouldn't have been counted), because the fates like to mess with faes and there is no guarantee a Fae will be reincarnated as a Fae in her next life. She could be human. Or a cockroach. Or the southern wind. Or she could be a Fae but come back wrong. Really, there's nothing sure about this option.

Fae who chose to become trees all planted their roots in the same forest and they can be heard, from time to time, giving unsolicited advices to the younglings having fun beneath their branches.

For the witches:

They mostly have the same approach as the humans, except they live up to 500 years instead of 80, which mean they start worrying about it a lot later. They still are the weakest (physically speaking) of all the magical and semi-mortal species, which means they are much more prone to accident and very few actually reach past their second or third century.

For the mermaids:

They also live very long lives and have the advantage of being away from humans most of the time, so when wars or conflict start again on the surface, they can just... swim away and wait for the storm to pass. The older a mermaid gets, the bigger she is, and the more she has to eat. There are only three really old (we're talking several thousand years old) mermaids because they feed on weaker mermaids - or, more precisely, younger, weaker or otherwise hurt mermaids are send bound and pre-broken to the deep caves in which the dwell and the three leviathan feast of the flesh of the unwilling.

Death is either a sacrifice (eaten by a leviathan) or a victory (not eaten by the leviathans bc they 1) died in combat so they at least were not eaten alive or 2) ran away on land to escape their fate which brings its own problems)

For the werewolves:

Mix between the witches and the mermaids. They die of old age (live longer than humans, less prone to disease or accident than witches) or in a fight and then they get eaten by the rest of the pack so that their spirits and knowledge can stay with the pack. Yay.

For Jo (sole human in this crazy friend group):

She doesn't think about it. She'll die when she'll die. She used to be really religious, but her faith was shattered when her whole family was murdered and Lou became a bloodsucker, so she doesn't really believe in an afterlife (be it hell or heaven). But should she be proven wrong, she's ready to throw hands with whomever is here to welcome her.

Louis scrolled casually through Twitter, as he does most mornings before Harry inevitably gets up later than him, and a particular headline jarred him into a shock so sudden, he gasped like a fish on land. 

“Mm,” Harry grunted, not quite awake yet, but not still asleep either. 

“Harry,” Louis said, uncaring of his love’s exhaustion after last night and poking him in the side. 

“Mm,” Harry repeated, more insistently this time. 

“Queen Elizabeth is dead,” Louis said, eyes scouring all the information the article had to offer. She’d died of ‘natural causes,’ and that only made sense—she was an impressively old bag—but having been born in 1955 himself, three years after her reign had begun, to only hear of her death now in the year 2022, was quite a shift in the modern cultural consciousness. 

He couldn’t even imagine Britain’s reaction…but he could imagine Ireland and Scotland’s pretty damn well. 

“Louis, the Queen died in 1603,” Harry grumbled with a heavy sleep-coated voice, clearly not fully in this reality yet for him to assume something like that. “Four years after you; I remember it well.” 

“Not the first one, you dunce. The second one,” Louis huffed, kicking Harry’s thigh a bit before he groggily opened his eyes with a slight glare. 

Then he thought about what he’d just heard. “The current Queen?” 

“Yes.” 

Harry was silent for a moment, and Louis figured he was just taking it all in, but then he exposed his true hesitations, and Louis could have punched him. 

“What about her?” 

“She’s dead, you lummox.” 

“The Queen of England is dead?” Harry asked in shock as he craned his head off the pillow, his eyes widening as he finally grasped onto logic and his synapses fired in his thick skull. 

Louis nodded and thrust his phone screen over Harry’s face, his lover automatically hissing from the brightness but squinting his eyes and reading anyway, his pinky finger languidly running up the screen. “Wow,” he said after a bit, crashing back down and running a hand down his face. “You know, I was starting to think she was one of us,” he said, chuckling as he thought of it. “Auron and I never saw her during our hostile takeover of the earth, and she’s looked the same for the last two decades…” 

“She certainly outlived a large portion of humanity like we do,” Louis agreed, casually scrolling his homepage for more articles. “Do you think this spells out a transition for England? Maybe this is the push they needed to do away with their antiquated governing,” he said, knowing it was a fool’s hope. 

“No, now it’s worse,” Harry said, Louis glancing over at him curiously. “Now humanity has to confront the age-old curse of a ‘King of England’ in their midst.”

Louis shuddered. “Gods, I hate that term. You’re absolutely right.” 

All of a sudden, their trapdoor crashed open, and Auron came dashing down in nothing but his underwear, Machiel close behind him. “The Queen is dead, long live the Queen!” he announced, looking like he should probably have a glass of champagne in his hand to match his jolly mood. If only he could drink such things. 

“So I’ve heard,” Harry said, stretching his whole body before sitting up, hand shaking his hair around. 

“We were just discussing the horrors of the King of England and all it entails,” Louis said, tossing the couple two blood bags from their mini-fridge. 

“It’s gross,” Machiel agreed, quickly ripping his bag open and drinking its contents.

“You know,” Auron began, opening his bag but not yet drinking it, a mischievous grin on his face. “I could get in there and muck things about a bit. Jupiter knows I’ve got a penchant for—” 

“No,” Harry and Louis said in tandem, taking two bags for themselves. 

“You’re not taking over England,” Louis said, as though he were chastising a child. 

“Why not?” Auron asked petulantly, drinking his bag down and taking Machiel’s empty one from him to hold. “I reckon I would fare better than that sorry old git any day.” 

“You’re impossible,” Harry laughed, he and Louis simultaneously standing to their feet so they could properly begin their day. What it would entail was a mystery, but it would undoubtedly include a lot of phone-scrolling. 

“Anything to dismantle the monarchy,” Auron joked, the four of them beginning their journey up the stairs when they all heard a rather shrill and unmistakable French boy from his room, who’d evidently just heard the news as well. 

“Vive la France!”

I’ll try my best to sum them up!

Dash: He’s a big cheeseball and has a habit of hamming things up and being overly dramatic. And he knows it. Will he stop? No. His sense of style is flashy and over the top but he somehow makes it work for himself. Not only can he dance, but he can also sing too! His singing is just as good as his dancing and he even does a bit of theatre in his spare time! He loves musicals. A big flaw for him would be trying to push people out of their comfort zones. Not in a jerk way to be purposefully mean, but in an overbearing/motherly ‘i want my *insert relationship here* to be the star!’ type of way.

Swivel: When he’s not falling asleep standing up? He’s laughing at stupid memes from years ago. Seriously. He’s like that one relative that you haven’t seen in a long time and when you meet again they expect you to have the same interests/likes as years before. He’s notorious for fake-out high-fives and the ‘there’s something on your shirt’ jokes. He thinks he’s HILARIOUS. He rarely dances and it’s NEVER in front of people. His brother boasts his dancing skills though and it only makes people even more curious. Does being best friends with Cash, Stretch, Red, and Hoodie count as a flaw? A big flaw for him would be giving up way too easily. One small thing could go wrong and he’s already kicking off his shoes and crawling into bed to call it a day. 

Bull: He’s...an interesting guy that’s for sure. You know those guys that think that the fact they have a big truck is super cool and wear boots 24/7? That’s Bull. Bro PLEASE- He’s so annoying before you get to know him. He winks at people all the time and thinks he’s SOOOO sexy. (And to a lot of people he is) but it’s ruined once he opens his mouth 💀 The funny thing tho? Even though he acts like Mr. big tough man he’s the BIGGEST BABY when it comes to his animals. You’ll catch him baby-talking his cows/pigs all the time! His brother hates it 😂 His southern accent is way thicker than Straws’, and he’s got a very deep voice. A big flaw for him would be rushing into things without fully thinking something through. If he thinks up an idea he’s like, “Ok. Sounds good.” and does it without thinking of the consequences.

Crow: He’s the typical grumpy ‘get off my property’ guy. He’s such a recluse it isn’t even funny. All he wants is to keep his farm spick and span and watch his decades-old soap operas. Fun fact about Crow? He got the nickname because the crows will not leave him alone at all. He’s tried EVERYTHING to scare them off, but they still come back. It’s not that they're even interested in his crops, they’re just interested in him. He could be standing outside just minding his business and three crows will fly down and just perch themselves on his shoulders/head. He’s just given up at this point. He’s officially the crow man. A big flaw for him is he never takes time for himself. If you thought Plaid was a workaholic, he’s even worse. He barely leaves any time for resting besides sleep. The only time he ever goes into town is when he needs something from the market. He’s the guy all the little kids in town make up a bunch of stories about when in reality? He’s just a grumpy guy trying to take care of his farm.
