I JUST THOUGHT OF A THEORY THAT I HAVENT SEEN YET!!

So the other night l was thinking, why did airy not get out as many of the objects from the first world, as much as the others. At first, I just kinda assumed it was because of them being main characters, yada yada, but you could’ve done that with any characters, so why specifically the ones from that world?

What if the reason why airy didn’t eliminate as many contestants from the first world was because he thought they would all go to the police. He wasn’t too worried when he got Charlie out, but when Taylor got out, she told the police about the place. At the end of Owen’s investigation, it’s revealed airy was watching the investigation. So now knowing his contestants are being looked for by the police, he doesn’t want this whole world he made up to become something everyone knows. So he tried to keep all the contestants from that universe, even trying to make them win, all so they don’t follow Taylor, and tell the police. Either way, when Bryce was voted out, he never told the police, and kept everything to himself, and for Liam, he tried to figure things out. And neither of them went to the police anyways

and another thing that I was thinking that is not really related to this, is why all the contestants from that world are from the us. In the previous season, it seems like they’re not, because of the French toothpaste dude. But I think airy decided to stick to the us because last time the contestants didn’t understand toothpaste dude because he’s from France. So airy didn’t want that to happen again.

And while im not on reddit i had some opinions about this which lead me down… a rabbit hole. Id love to hear all your comments and thoughts about this!

Alice in Wonderland is a perfect allusion to what happened to the squad at the end of vol. 8. And Yang is Alice, making the other people who also fell into Wonderland characters as well. I have chills writing this you guys!!! Ive taken some screenshots for proof and it is UNDENIABLE.

That is an allusion to Blake! Alice and the cat literally part ways. And Alice starts the decent aloof and confused. Alice then falls. But gently falls down and shes able to inspect the world that is this tunnel/ hole, picking up books, even sitting in a rocking chair momentarily.

Then i saw this gif. While shes falling past all these artifacts we she her breifly pass this…

If you haven’t heard theres a tale called the girl who fell through the earth like OP mentions. I know the diagram Alice passes isnt very clear but to me it looks as though its a diagram explaining her fall, as a fall through the earth. Further aliding to the fairy tale from Rwby.

As you can see at the end Alice falls on her head. And for me I can predict vol 9 to start like this:

Yang will be falling unconsciously. She will regain consciousness during her fall and start to notice she is falling but doesnt know where. She may see things while falling down to e island but have enough time to regain atleast some if not all of her aura back. Even though she’ll be totally aware for her landing she might be distracted and will clumsily land on her head. After falling on her head shell see something in the brush that catches her attention which she follows deep into the forest trying to catch. Only driving her away from the shore and closer to the TREE.

Because of these predictions too, i don’t think they will fall very far apart from one another in respect to time, they will all get there the same day. Unfortunately they will all fall very far away from each other except for Blake and Ruby and maybe Jaune and Weiss.

Okay I hope youre still here because. I wanted to check my theory out a little more. If alice was falling through the earth its safe to say our crew is as well. So i sought out to find if falling from “around atlas” where exactly would straight through go? Now i know that this was inside a pocket dimension so theres no way to say, however. I found these globes of Remnant rendered by another reddit user u/shazarakk.

The first thing to note is that THE WATER IS THE LAND AND THE LAND IS THE WATER!

I noticed in the map its seems like i couldn’t see Menagerie very well because on the map its Remnants south ish pole?! Making atlas is north pole! At least to me anyway.

Therefore if they fell straight through the earth like depicted by the pole animation in Alice in Wonder, its very possible that they went to the Shallow sea as also speculated in OPs HC. The shallow sea could be menagerie but it could be a pocket dimension near menagerie. And if this is all true there could be the god of animals that we are still yet to meet and maybe our heroines have some knowledge to seek from him and maybe he lives in THE TREE.

So to conclude, because Yang is so heavily alluded to alice in wonderland i think each member who fell will aquire a “new character “ so to say. I havent thought well into who is who but here are some roles to fill

On the other hand, the grishaverse fic was a contest fic. I love that book a lot as well but it never came close to my damned love for that game

Hmmm, hard one here. Most of the angst in my fic is very much in the middle with the end being happier as I sadly do have a soul. But, my vote goes to a friends betrayal. The fic was basically about Olberics thoughtprocess after the fall of hornburg and what lead him to his situation in beginning of the game. As you can guess, it is very angsty.

If we are to buy into what the game is telling us and proving over and over again. I am starting to highly suspect that Richy is the kidnapper especially from this newest episode. So let’s break it down to what we learned,

Dan tells us that he believes someone tampered with his breaks the night of his accident, and claims that it has to have been related to the kidnapper. If this is true, there is only one person in the whole group who has the mechanical understanding to mess up a car's brakes and that’s Richy. Also it’s said that Dan is good at predicting events, for example he correctly guessed that Jake had “talked” to Lilly to take the video down instead of hacking the YouTube system.

Further on we receive Hannah phone log, and the first person she calls is Rogers Garage aka Richy to get her car back. Richy is happy to tell the player all the details of the interaction, even the exact amount of change Hannah gave him for his work. The player also has the option to tell Jake that the way Richy was talking to them sounded very rehearsed like he knew exactly what to say.

Hannah’s car might be missing right now, and the person who knows the most about her car is Richy.

And you know one of the best ways to tell if a person is lying? It is when their story is so detailed in every aspect, to the most mundane parts. Furthermore, Jessy was off work that day so Richys story can’t even be supported.

He even mentions that he might be the “last” person to have seen her, now that sounds a bit like foreshadowing don’t you think?

Third, the day Jessy gets assaulted by the kidnapper, only two people knew she was going to be out that night and that’s Phil and Richy. And Richy had the longest to prepare for this interaction with Jessy then Phil did who just learned that Jessy was out on a “walk” with the player.

We still haven’t seen Richys face, the only one out of the group besides Jake who the game developers don’t want us to find the identity of yet, the closest we have come is hearing his voice on a premium recording and a hand during the dare house video. Otherwise we know nothing about his appearance.

Also the Kidnapper did not hurt Jessy to an extreme scale or take her away, possibly because he has a “connection” with her. Why hurt the girl who you apparently have a “crush” on?

And for the suspicious things he has done in the past, he didn’t vote at all for us to stay or go. He was “marked” by the man without a face and pushed the blame onto Phil, claiming it was proof that it wasn’t him. He stayed in the Duskwood Legends chat even though he expressed his disbelief, saying he wanted to “make sure you guys don’t get out of hand with this.” That sounds like watching and monitoring, to me.

He also seems to know a lot about Jake and the players' connection to each other, before anyone else did. And on the day of Hannah’s kidnapping when Jake warned them Hannah was in danger, Thomas immediately drove to her apartment to find Richy already standing outside, that can lead to the possibility that he was there cleaning up evidence.

And if it turns out that all I said is true, realize that Richy is “working” on Dan's car right now. If he messed with those brakes and came back to the chat saying nothing was wrong with them…

Well then Richy is going to have to put in some major effort to make me not suspect him.

Okay so first- I LOVE your manhunt gif set it’s so cool! I felt like I was watching some kind of spy movie with the way you broke down everything and the aesthetic!

But the potential 5th hunter part really got me thinking, it’s actually super interesting to me because I think they would all be good choices and bring something unique to the table!

Callahan’s a wild card, the audience has no idea what his playing style is like, plus I think his silence would lead to some great surprise attacks! Punz has the pvp and speedrunning skills, a team up with him and Sapnap could give Dream a real run for his money. Sam would probably play the long game, similar to Antfrost he’d collect materials early on then come in clutch at the end. But he’s also got incredible redstone skills, which could lead to Dream dying to a hunter-set trap, something we’ve not seen before! What Quackity lacks in the pvp department, he would make up for by really elevating the comedy/banter content. Skeppy is another wildcard, I could see him going more down the pvp route, or potentially setting up some game changing traps, he’s got that jack of all trades thing going on! -@trainforanother1000years

you're totally right about callahan being a wild card. he would def get away with more bc of being silent (bc dream always like. psychoanalyzes the hunters based on what they say, like when he knew george was on one heart because of the way he screamed LOL).

punz is really really good at minecraft and, like you said, he's a Speedrunner. i do think he is more pvp focused which im personally not that into bc i think the coolest parts of manhunts are the banter and the traps ?? i think if punz got added as hunter dream would definitely lose a lot more right off the bat so rip to his wallet LOL .

i think sam 5th hunter would be awesome! i was originally team quackity but everyone's little comments on the survey converted me LOL. yeah the closest thing we have had to "traps" from the hunters is like. the instant damage potion death (let's be real antfrost knew what he was doing luring him into the desert temple). i'd say that traps and baiting dream into doing things are probably the most reliable ways to kill him, so awesamdude making redstone traps would be. pun unintended. awesome!!!!

i really don't think adding someone else who is good at pvp is the best move for 5th hunter partially for the reasons i said earlier in the punz section of this post . i feel like everyone has a kind of role that they fill in the dynamic and we already have the aggressive pvper with sapnap. i think adding someone like quackity at least for a one-off manhunt on the channel would be a good idea bc i feel like manhunts as they are now have strayed really far from what they were at the beginning. like i was originally going to make that a Much bigger project and do all of the manhunts but . i watched the first one and it's barely even a fair comparison. it was a lot more lighthearted despite having its intense moments and seemed more like something done with friends than a Production. that's not to say there's something wrong with a Production of course! i love watching manhunts now, it's just different! and i think adding quackity would bring some of those vibes back for a one-off episode which would be fun :)

i feel like skeppy would provide some mix between what sam and quackity would add! i havent seen a lot of his stuff so i dont know how good he is at pvp? but as long as he's not like . op like sapnap or punz i think he would still be a good addition. i think he would lean in the direction of supplies/support/traps? but i don't know him that well so idk. i think he would be worthwhile to add if only because i think having both him and bad there would be funny :)

QUESTION: how did you get into reading?

So, when I was in middle school (many moons ago) we had this thing called AR Testing. Basically, you read a book and take a test on it—the questions were things that happened in the book, it was really simple. If you got a good grade, you got points. The more points you earned, the more eligible you were for the reading party at the end of each semester. Me, being the nerd I am, got top of my class because I went through 8th grade level books like it was nothing. The librarian at my school brought me books from the high school to read since everything was easy for me, and alas, my addiction began. And now that I have adult money, it’s a true addiction. Also, telling my father “I’m bored” and his response being, “go read a book or something” so thanks dad.

This one is tough because I’ve read THOUSANDS of books, but if I had to choose one, it would probably be Confess by Colleen Hoover. I fell in love with her work in high school when I first read Ugly Love, but Confess is the type of book that pulls at your heart strings, y’all. It has everything people love: humor, sexual tension, drama, love. GO BUY THE DAMN BOOK. Or honestly any book by Colleen Hoover—she’s a fucking amazing author.

I’ve always given this advice to people who want to get into reading: find what you like and start with that. If you like romance, I’ve got a list for you to choose from. Mystery? Another list. Sci-fi? I GOT YOU. Fantasy? Yes! Sports fiction? It might take me a second but I’ll find you a book. Nonfiction? I’m zero help in that category, honestly. The point of the matter is that you’re never going to enjoy a book if you aren’t interested in the underlying topics.

Hello, I've been trying to educate myself about Catalonia (currently watching Two Catalonias in Netflix, glad to have found your blog!). There's a lot of questions that Im desperate to have an answer for. Sorry bc I havent gone all of the timetable yet. I saw that October 2017 was when it became independent. But what is it independent for? Is it politics? Why is it still part of Spain now? Is there a different government body? I hope u dont take this the wrong way. Thanks in advance. <3

It’s all pretty complicated but I’ll try to sum up the timeline and hope it makes sense.

A lot has happened since 2017 and it was... intense. This is going to be a very long post, so I’ll put it under the cut.

October 1st 2017: the referendum, considered illegal by Spain, police brutality against the voters, etc. That’s been talked about extensively so I’ll skip it. Anyway, the result of the referendum is 90.18% of votes for YES to independence (2,044,038 votes), 7.83% of votes for NO (177,547 votes), and 1.98% votes in BLANK (44,913 votes). The participation rate that could be counted was 43.03% of the population of Catalonia who legally can vote in normal elections. Actually, more people had voted but their votes were kidnapped by the Spanish military police when they stormed voting centers, so those votes were not counted. Other people wanted to vote but couldn’t because they the police attacked and closed their voting center, or because they’re not eligible to vote in elections because they live here but don’t have documents.

So we consider that a victory for YES.

October 3rd 2017: general strike. Ready to take control of the territory, a general strike is called and it is massively followed. The economy is shut down, highways and trains are blocked, etc. Here’s a post from that day. And another one.

October 10th 2017: president of Catalonia Carles Puigdemont declares independence and suspends it 8 seconds later. This was my post at the time:

(Spoiler alert: obviously Spain refused to negotiate. Not only that but they went further in the repression. You’ll see.)

October 16th 2017: activists Jordi Cuixart and Jordi Sànchez (the elected presidents of the two most important pro-independence organizations, Òmnium Cultural and ANC respectively) are arrested and put in pre-trial jail. Many demonstrations around Catalonia the next days and weeks and months.

October 27th 2017: following Puigdemont’s words, since the Spanish government has explicitly refused to negotiate, the suspension on the declaration of independence is lifted. The Parliament of Catalonia declares independence (DUI = Declaració Unilateral d’Independència = unilateral declaration of independence). Thousands and thousands of people came to the streets to celebrate, and then in filled Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona (the square where the Seat of the Government of Catalonia is) and all the nearby streets and avenues. It was so packed that it was impossible to move, and there was music and singing all the time. We did this to protect the building, because we knew our government was inside signing papers and doing what was necessary to start to implement the Catalan Republic, and to make it absolutely impossible for the Spanish police and/or army to get to the Seat of the Catalan Government and arrest them.

Spain considered the Catalan government criminals and searched for them to jail them, but the following day they were outside of the country and nowhere to be found. The plan was to move to a more democratic European country and create a government on exile there which could effectively coordinate the culmination of the independence process and make independence effective. The reason they couldn’t stay in Catalonia was that they would all get jailed and would not be able to work from jail, so Catalonia would not have a government who could negotiate with the EU, Spain, or whoever was necessary, and who could continue the normal functions of a government to ensure the people of the country can still work and live, while coordinating the participative processes to create our own Constitution, tax collection, etc. But only half of the government made it outside... I’ll expand on this later.

Now let’s see what Spain was up to. The Spanish government applied the article 155 of the Spanish Constitution to Catalonia. This articles deletes the regional government and that comunidad autónoma (region) is ruled directly by the central Spanish government. In practice, what this means is that the whole Catalan government (elected democratically in legal elections recognized by Spain) stops existing, and it is replaced by politicians from the ruling Spanish party, which at the time was PP, a right-wing Catalanophobic party that had only reached 8.5% of votes in the previous Spanish elections in Catalonia. It was like a dictatorship. They controlled the public TV (read this) and banned the use of certain words, they fired people who had affinities with the independentist government, a lot of people went to trial (including even teachers) at the slightest suspicions...

And everything had to stop. Even things you wouldn’t expect to be affected. Everything was affected and the Spanish government’s presence. For example, my mother is a teacher of Catalan language in a public school for adults, and she had to ask permission to the Spanish government directly every time she wanted to use a printer (they were threatened that otherwise they could be sued for wasting public money). Sometimes they even refused her to print class exercises for the students. My department in university also had to stop all the research projects for the following year since they depend on the funds given by the Catalan government. etc.

Obviously, there were protests. During those days, we were busy with demonstrations and strikes, and then learnt that president Puigdemont and others were on exile in Belgium. There were some problems with Spain sending international orders of arrest against them but the crimes they’re accused of don’t exist outside of Spain so they were arrested and temporarily jailed in Germany but not deported. I won’t get in detail because it happened more than once and it would be long.

But half of the Government of Catalonia did NOT cross the border. The whole government, which was a coalition of the PDeCat and ERC parties, met in secret in Llívia (an enclave surrounded by French territory), and then the ERC politicians decided not to follow the plan. There are different reasons behind this change in strategy:

The need for political prisoners to prove that we are not exaggerating. The EU was not taking seriously how repressive Spain could be. They saw the police brutality on the referendum’s voters and shrugged as if nothing happened because nobody had died (though one man almost did). So some of the consellers (equivalent of ministers in the Catalan government) said that they would remain in Catalonia, and they were sure they would be jailed and this would show other countries that there was a reason for the Catalan Government to be on exile, it wasn’t just that they had left because they’re dramatic and don’t want to follow the law.

Jail as a loudspeaker. These same consellers said that being in jail would give them attention from international media that otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten, so they would use their time in jail to explain to the world what was going on and why their countries should show support to Catalonia. Political prisoner Jordi Cuixart later said that this has been the case for him, and he has met with important activists from around the world who came to visit him in jail, so it makes sense.

Aaaand whatever the hell vicepresident Junqueras was talking about. I still don’t understand. He should’ve gone to Belgium in my opinion. He’s just rotting in jail for no reason now.

So we have half of the Catalan Government in Spanish jails and the other half in Belgium. They still remain like that nowadays.

The two parties of the coalition that formed the previous Catalan Government (the one that Spain had dismantled) continued to fight among them. They later explained that Spain threatened that they would send the army to Catalonia and there would be a bloodbath. In phone calls, the delegates of the Spanish government made it clear that they were going to kill people and frame it as it was the fault of the Government of Catalonia. The Government of Catalonia did not want people dead, so they stopped calling on citizens to take control of the territory, the administration, etc. At the time, we did not know why they were suddenly silent, all they said was they were waiting for Spain to negotiate (and everybody was angry because we knew Spain would never negotiate, as Spanish politicians have been saying the whole time).

Then, the Spanish government forced Catalonia to have elections, since it considered that the democratically-elected Government of Catalonia was not in power anymore because Spain had fired them. There was a lot of discussion on what independentist parties should do. These were the different positions:

Catalonia has declared independence and we need to focus all our energy on making it real. All independentist parties have to be working on taking full control of the taxes, administration, and services. We cannot be a candidate to the elections of the Spanish region of Catalonia, because that doesn’t exist anymore and we are in the Republic of Catalonia now. The result of participating in these elections would be legitimizing Spanish rule. But if we don’t participate, only the unionists will vote and the whole Government of the Spanish region of Catalonia (the one that has the real power by now and is recognized by other countries) will be 100% composed of unionist politicians who will make our lives hell (like they did during 155). And the world might take this as “unionists won the elections, so that’s the only legitimate representatives of Catalonia to negotiate with”.

Independentist parties should participate and make the Government of the Spanish region of Catalonia be the Government of the Republic of Catalonia. It’s good that it’s an official legal election accepted by everyone, and there will be representation of all the inhabitants (whether they are unionist or independentist). Problem: this leads us back to where we started, with a Parliament that has a majority of seats for independentist parties but is still the Parliament of a region of Spain.

Independentist parties should participate in the elections of the Spanish region of Catalonia in order to boycott it. Basically, all independentists would be called to vote for their preferred independentist party (PDeCat, ERC or CUP), and once the Parliament of the Spanish region of Catalonia is formed, they never show up. More than half of the Parliament would be empty, so it would be blocked from being efficient. Meanwhile they would be at the real Parliament of the Republic of Catalonia.

After a lot of talk, they choose the 3rd. In theory.

Elections happen, with pretty much the same results from the previous elections so PDeCat and ERC form a coalition government with support from CUP. But the politicians who are in jail or exile are outlawed by Spain and could not participate in elections, so they do a “symbolic” president, Quim Torra, who is like a spokesman for the real president Puigdemont in exile.

So with the leaders of the two bigger independentist parties and civil organizations in jail or on exile, media still banned from using certain words, people getting arrested for taking part in the general strikes, and a general feeling of uncertainess, things started to go very badly.

Suddenly ERC (social-democrat independentist party) decided that we had already failed, and that this showed that the DUI (unilateral declaration of independence) was always going to fail because so many important elements of an independent state work automatically (for example, taxes of Catalan people are automatically sent to Spain, they don’t pass through the Catalan gov, and it’s all informatic so it’s not like we can just stop the caravan that is transporting the money because there is no such a thing) or other mechanisms needed for a country really become independent unilaterally (aka without Spain agreeing) are just impossible for us to create without the support of other independent countries or organizations like the EU or UN. From then on, ERC has defended that we need to find a way to negotiate with Spain and do a referendum that Spain recognizes as legally binding, but Spain has shown they don’t want to let us vote, so we need to be strong enough to force them to have to agree with us. “Strong enough” meaning to have the huge majority of Catalonia be in favour of independence, have the Parliament and other representative bodies be almost absolutely pro-independence, have the councils of all major unions be in favour of constant mobilization for independence, etc. So the most repeated sentence by ERC is, to this day, “enxamplar la base” (make the base/grassroots wider), and that’s what they dedicate most of their efforts towards, trying to convince undecided people or Spanish leftists or left-leaning people who they think can be convinced.

CUP (anti-capitalist independence party) said that the important thing to become independent is the support of the masses and constant mobilization. We already had a majority of the population in favour of independence and they showed to be ready for constant mobilization. General strikes had been successful, so what we needed was to do an indefinite strike (so, instead of just striking a couple of days, declare a strike that would not end until our demands -independence and freedom of political prisoners- are met). This is difficult because most people cannot afford to stop showing up to work for such a long time as would be needed, and the solidarity funds (the collections of funds used to aid workers who need it during strikes and to help pay for lawyers or whatever the repressed protestors need) could never be enough for a whole country. Nevertheless, lots of people are ready to make sacrifices.

And the other party, president Puigdemont’s PDeCat (the liberal independentist party). They said that we had to work harder on having all the state structures (“estructures d’estat”, those words are used a lot). State structures would be all the things necessary for a country to function independently. It includes the tax collection system, ambassies, administration system, justice system, police force (I know this is debated but at least we all can agree that we do NOT need Spanish cops imposing Spanish laws), postal service, etc. PDeCat’s efforts are centered on this, especially on economical aspects. They are still now working in this direction, with the idea that Spain will never agree to negotiate and so our only way of becoming independent is behaving like we’re independent: when we have our own tax collection, state services, citizenship, ambassies, etc. we will be independent whether or not Spain recognizes it, because we will be behaving independently and will not depend on Spain.

After that a lot of important things happened to, but basically the coalition government (PDeCat and ERC) fought all the time. As I just explained, their strategies are opposed, and ERC accuses PDeCat of being too radical and “scaring away” the Spanish left who could maybe one day let us have a referendum agreeded on with Spain, while PDeCat and CUP accuse ERC of having turned independence in a long-term goal instead of a short-term goal like it was until 2017.

So basically, we failed and did not achieve independence. We declared it but were not able to keep it going. Most people feel like the political class ruined it, because the people were ready to do what was needed (as proved in the strikes like October 3rd 2017, the occupation of the Barcelona airport on 4th October 2019, the so-called Battle of Orquinaona, etc). There’s been great protests until the covid-19 lockdown, it’s not like we ever really stopped. But most politicians seem too focused in fighting each other for the best strategy, especially ERC who is not participating in the meetings with the other parties any more. It’s all very confusing for the people, and it seems that we don’t know everything that happened in late 2017.

That’s pretty much it. I hope it was more or less understandable, and if you’re still confused, don’t worry, we are confused too. I didn’t. I rarely go on Twitter and The Daily Kos blog is not a news source I read often. I was able to find his tweet, and I agree that’s a concern. I hope it was meant as a joke in poor taste about how blatantly and frequently Trump lied to the public and not an intention. I know news outlets of record did fact check Biden consistently throughout the debates, and historically have fact-checked politicians regardless of political party. While I would not, perhaps, extrapolate to the entire millions of people who identify as liberal from a single tweet from a single person, I again agree this is concerning and would prefer people not even joke about it. Twitter is not a good place for reasoned and nuanced political discussion, but even within the limitations it would have been much wiser for him to tweet something along the lines of “so nice to fact check a politician’s speech and not have to call out ten different lies in a single paragraph”.

As for the Lyft and Uber members on the board, that’s also a concern. The California Democratic party opposed proposition 22, which gives Uber and Lyft a concerning amount of power over employees. News articles from mainstream/politically neutral sources such as Reuters have meanwhile pointed out that Biden’s tech transition team includes a large number of tech companies and not as many critics thereof . As mentioned I don’t spend much time if any on Twitter; I’m sure there are disagreements, and I hope you are able to look at a large number of people to see the multiple views present within. I don’t know your exact leftist positions, but I think we can agree that leftism includes a wide number of views - socialism, communism, left-anarchists, all which branch out even further into subdivisions like Marxism or anarcho-primitivism - and that the views of some do not necessarily represent the positions of all.

You seem extremely angry. I can understand that. I remember how I felt in the 2016 election, seeing Trump supporters celebrate what felt like an unlivable loss to me - one that I’m still angry about, and will remain angry about probably for the rest of my life.

I think a lot of people felt angry in a similar way, and I think many of them voted for Biden for that reason. It sounds as though you still feel this unlivable anger - but it sounds like you feel it before Biden has even taken office - less than five days after he was declared president-elect. I suspect you didn’t have any hope that this election would improve things, even slightly, and that sounds like a very depressing place to be.

What I will say, though, is I didn’t message Trump supporters, or search for them on Twitter. I did not, for the most part, spend all my time online jumping on every statement as proof that things would never get better. I looked for ways to mobilize and bring about the change I wanted. And I recognize the way I want to change things - both the results and the method - are probably not the same as yours. I likely want to drastically reform systems you would prefer be torn down entirely. I tend to work through existing avenues of political engagement and peaceful protest, and you may prefer violent revolution. But I think we (both you and I, and more broadly liberals and leftists) both want considerable change, and in many cases in the same direction: that no one goes hungry, or is killed, harmed, or otherwise made unsafe because of their race, gender, sexuality, ability, age, or religion. That there is more to life than working until we die. That the environment is not ruined by humanity’s actions.

I wonder how you hope to accomplish these things.

Right now, liberals - and some leftists (I usually try to distinguish between leftists who do things in the real world and what I call ‘online/very online’ leftists, as a lot of leftist activists participate in elections and protests) have not given up on fighting for what they want. Phone bank slots have filled up for the Georgia runoffs, people are pouring money into causes they support, whether it’s funds for native populations seriously affected by COVID, or abortion access networks, and BLM protests have continued as they have for months. I hope you are not mistaking the first breath many have taken in four years for apathy, and that you allow the people you see as allies the same time to rest amongst the action.

It sounds as though you have given up on anything changing within a week of the mere promise of future change, and that you are looking for ways to feel that pain more online.

Maybe you’re not. Maybe you are taking the time in between the real-world actions you take towards revolution to both extensively check Twitter and Tumblr and send this. Maybe you’ve tried to change hearts and minds all day and have decided I am the one person who you will give up on. I doubt it, but it’s possible, and if that’s the case, this is a long answer and you’ve probably stopped reading. But if you are refreshing Twitter and despairing in an endless loop and are angry at everyone I hope you can get help, and that things get better for you, and you find an outlet for that anger in a way that helps the people you care about.

Feel free to check in at Biden’s inauguration in January; I will check the Daily Kos on that day to see if they maintained the same journalistic standards, since I think we both agree a press that applies critical analysis of the government, regardless of who is in charge, is vital. Take care.

He can look Damien in the eye and say he hates him and not even that will turn him away? if he can’t even pretend that he doesn’t want this... what else is left? yellow crewmate starts following the red imposter - at first red wonders if theyre onto him but then yellow defends him in a group discussion. “red was with me,” yellow tells the crew, “and he didnt kill me. hes not the imposter.” and the crew believes them because this is the most innocent crewmate theyve ever met, and if red didnt kill em, well. that has to mean something, right? (eventually red admits to being imposter but instead of ejecting him the crewmates make him a part of their team)

It was about halfway through the mission when yellow started to follow him around.

"Dont you have tasks to do?" Red asked, annoyed because he just killed someone, and would have to wait longer before he could get rid of the bright crewmate.

"I already finished my tasks, and I figured its be safer to stick in groups... what with half the crew gone. I havent seen you do tasks... you're done too?"

Red quickly nodded, blessing the fact that yellow was apparently a bit of a dunce. Perhaps he should take the 'dum' post it on blacks head and put it on his oblivious companion.

Yellow settled in, apparently content with sitting in the cafeteria with red.

Perhaps he could slip away.

As soon as he stood, yellow jumped to her feet.

"Where are you going?"

"I was just... gonna go check to see how everyone else was doing with their tasks, you don't need to come."

"I want to! Being alone makes me nervous, what with all the deaths that have happened"

Sighing, red resigned himself to having to listen to the chatty girl until he could kill her in... according to his watch, five minutes.

"You know... I still cant believe cyan is gone...he was so sweet."

Yellows small plant drooped sadly, and red resisted the urge to comfort her.

"Well... I'm sure we'll find the imposter in no time." Red said cheerily.

Glancing into electrical, he could see white trying to connect some broken wires. Quickly looking at yellow, and seeing her completely focused on staring out the windows, Red slipped away.

White was so focused on his task be didnt even see the sword coming until he was gone.

"Eugh..." Wiping the blood off his visor and blessing the fact that his spacesuit was red, he went back to join yellow, promising himself that she was next.

"Oh hey! I didnt notice you leave..."

Red smiled. "I was just checking to see if anyone was in electrical, doesn't seek like there is."

"Okay! Maybe we should-"

Whatever yellow was going to suggest was interrupted by blacks panicked voice over the speaker.

"Everyone to the cafeteria! We found Lime by the reactor."

Gasping, Yellow started to rush back to the cafeteria, Red quick on her heels, determined to keep up appearances.

"How long was Lime there?" Asked Red with fake worry.

"We cant really tell... its recent, we know that much." Black said angrily.

Green stared sadly at the sheet covering her brother's body.

Softly, Black put her hand on Greens shoulder. "Green... we've got to focus on finding out who did this, we can mourn everyone properly later."

Nodding, Green looked around at everyone else.

"Where's White and Pink?"

Everyone looked around.

Black sighed. "Let's go find their bodies before we discuss this."

"No need."

Everyone looked over to see Pink carrying White's mangled body to the table.

Yellow choked up, turning her head away.

"White can't have been dead more than ten minutes" Pink informed them, face blank.

Red saw an opportunity.

"Really? It's been about ten minutes since the rest of us got here.. what were you doing?"

Pink stood angrily.

"I was on the opposite side of the ship! And I saw White on the way here. I wasn't just gonna leave him!"

Black, ever the calm leader, stood as well.

"Red! Pink! Calm down... shouting at each other will get us nowhere... Red why do you think Pink is the imposter?"

Red shrugged. "I just think it's a little sus that he shows up ten minutes late to a meeting, carrying a body that died ten minutes ago."

"Oh really? What were you doing ten minutes ago?" Pink retorted.

Yellow stood quickly. "I was with Red for the last half hour... it wasn't him."

There was silence. Everyone staring at Pink. Then...

Green stared at Pink, betrayed." I though you loved Lime..."

Paling, Pink struggled to find an answer. "I did- I do love Lime! It's Red... It's gotta be!"

Black shook her head slowly. "Yellow... what do you think?"

Yellow looked back and forth between Pink and Red, before quietly whispering "I skip voting."

Nodding, Black turned to Pink. "Pink... you have three votes against you. I'm sorry."

"It's not me. Its not!" Pink backed away slowly.

Red held back a smirk of satisfaction, pleased that it was going so well for him. He couldn't he happier as he watched Green and Black escorting Pink towards the air lock.

He was happy... Until he saw Yellows devastated face. He remembered that Pink and Yellow were best friends, though he couldn't figure out why that bugged him so much.

Ignoring his brain telling him to shut up, and that his mission was almost complete, Red stood.

"Wait!"

Everyone looked at Red, and he felt himself speaking before he could stop the words.

"I'm the imposter, not Pink... I snuck away while Yellow was looking out the window."

Black and Greem quickly let go of Pink's arms.

"You're the one that killed everyone?" Blacks voice had a dangerous edge.

Nodding weakly, Red stepped back. "W-well... technically Blue killed a few of them as well but... you tossed her out a few days ago."

"Let's throw Red out then!" Pink started towards Red, looking angry.

"Not yet." Black held up her hand. "I still want to know why you admitted it now... You and Blue killed four of our teammates without hesitation, and you were about to off a fifth... Why now?"

Floundering, Red glanced at Yellow. "I dont know exactly... I just... didn't like how upset Yellow was over Pink."

Yellow looked at him strangely, not seeming to know what to think.

Green looked at Red vengfully. "Now that we've heard the explanation, can we get rid of this murderer?"

Pink nodded in agreement, and Red raised his arms in surrender, preparing himself to the horrible fate that his friend Blue had suffered only a few days before.

The intercom beeped again, alerting them that they were approaching Polus.

Black sighed. "We need to prepare for landing. Once we arrive on Polus I'm sure we can find some way to deal with Red... but for now we'll just put him in the brig. Everyone else needs to finish their tasks."

Pink nodded, then grabbed Red by the arms roughly. "Just because you didnt let me get ejected doesn't mean you're suddenly a good person... doesn't mean you didnt murder half this crew."

Red didn't say anything, just let himself be marched off to the brig.

I couldn't particularly see them just... letting him live, especially after killing people, so I decided to leave it to a bit of an open ending. If you want him to live he can live, if you want him to die he can die

I also like the idea of Red being soft on one (1) yellow cutie

So anyway yeah,,, might make these into actual ocs, who knows?
