This photo is from the second time we went to the trail down the road by the refinery ( big old tanks and lots of pipes around ). So, trail is a dog trail which not a fan but its what there is. The first time most shots where with the X-T4, there were a few little streams of water and i got some good shots with the gorilla pod, but all high shutter speed, didn't occurred to me to rest the camera and leave it there for a couple of seconds. So when i was reviewing the photos and noticed how much cooler it would've been with the long exposure, decided to go back. Second time was in the middle of the push for iphone photography, so got all the apps ready to go, reheld and a bunch of other long exposure wonders. Weather was good and it was a good hike with the family over all. But was completely dry. No water was moving anywhere that day. Got me thinking bout the conditions that must happen for water to run thru those little streams.

The photo was 2 minutes into the hike, pretty quick. As i said, was trying to prove a point with the iphone photography, still am, and made some effort to treat the phone as id treat the XT4, focusing on the settings and paying attention to the photo making process. It was by no means the only photo, got lots. Was just one of the better ones, has the leading lines to the guy, the DynamicRange with the clouds is pretty good i'd say... The leafs in the foreground also add to the photo. In my opinion anyway.

Naples - Quartieri Spagnoli (35mm Kodak Tri-X 400 in Finol) by tjshot Naples, Spanish Quarters. Italy. Testing Kodak Tri-X 400 film in Moersch Finol developer. Love the way Tri-X 400 flares! Shot with an Olympus 35 SP 35mm film camera. Exposed EI 240, F 4. Developed in Moersch Finol 1+75, 5.30 minutes at 28°C, first minute constant agitation then 2 inversions every 20 seconds. Fixed in Moersch ATS alcaline fixer to preserve the stain, 6.30 minutes, first minute constant agitation then 10 seconds inversions at beginning of each minute Washed in flowing tap water for 8 minutes. Scanned to true optical 2900dpi with a custom macro setup, then resized. No sharpening or noise reduction applied. Original file available. High developer temperature takes a toll on grain size here, but decent performance nevertheless. Everybody who knows me should know that I love #architecture. There's no way I can pass up a pretty #SecondEmpire #house, especially with a cute white picket fence, and a lovely front yard. Every town on #CapeCod has beautiful houses from a bygone age. Would you believe that this image is really twenty-one shots at different exposures and slightly turned vantage points to create the lush detail and color while displaying the broad #dynamicrange of light similar to what the eye can see? This isn't an image you can make when you just grab a fast lens and shoot off a snapshot. Photographing Cape Cod is about the whole place and showing travelers the stuff they ride right by in their way to someplace else. This way, the may get a little more time with that area they didn't get to explore as well. There are some pretty amazing photographers here. Their work keeps me on my toes. It's too bad Instagram won't let photographers be photographers without Creating stories and reels and whatever short form video will come next. DxOMark has just released their review of the Samsung Galaxy S20+’s camera system. Unlike the S20 Ultra – which uses pixel binning in the 108MP main sensor, the Galaxy S20+ uses a 12MP sensor with large 1.6µm pixels. This camera array has three other cameras, each dedicated to ultra wide (12MP), telephoto(24MP), and a depth sensor (0.3MP) for bokeh shots. The S20+ received an overall score of 118, made up of its photography score of 127 and its video score of 100. Its strength in still photos is attributed to its excellent exposure, wide dynamic range, vivid colors, and its brilliant ultra-wide camera. DxOMark saw great accurate exposure even in more challenging conditions and accurate white balance. It’s zoom capabilities aren’t as impressive. It’s 64MP zoom camera is used to crop an image from the scene, which can be good in bright lighting, but details are softer in medium and longer-range zoom shots. Portraits are strong, with convincing bokeh, though not good enough to earn the top score. Dynamic range for video is great outdoors, though not the best – but with high saturation. Details are high in 4K video, though it can be aggressive with sharpness. Autofocus adapts quickly and tracks objects well.
