Michael takes the role as like the bodyguard and the guy who's Job is to do violence. Unlike his siblings Michael genuinely hates their father. He makes a lot of empty threats against William which both of them know Michael will never go through with. He has a similar hate for robot Charlie and her friends. Especially John. He hates John for being a plain boring man who despite that gets to keep his nice soft smooth skin and live a pretty happy life with his girlfriend Well Mike spent to the last like 10 ish years in a basement Being tortured. (I haven't decided if Michael is like possessing Fun time foxy or version of him Or Michael is zombie either or I can't decide :( )

Elizabeth remains pretty much the same except obviously I'm getting rid of the "":stuff"" tied in with fourth closet circus baby. She died in Williams's shitty copy of the fourth Charlie Bot (Built off of William attempting to follow Henry's blueprints) When she was like 6 but she grew up in the suit and is now 18. Her job is pretending to be Charlie and keeping an eye on charlie's friends to make sure they don't find real Charlie/trying to find where real Charlie is before anyone else can. Her only real knowledge of the world outside of the torture basement has been Soap operas that would run on the TV down there every once in a while. That's why she wears the red dress and lots of makeup even though it's so uncharacteristic of Charlie. How Elizabeth thinks real people act. (Note I'm taking out all of the weird stuff like her kissing John and people thirsting after her)

Evan Takes Elizabeth's place as The surgeon medical one. I think he possesses a version of fun time Freddy, And he does like all of the medical stuff on their dad Unlike Elizabeth who knows that William hates her but still tries to be a good daughter anyway and Michael who just hates William and gets hate back. Evans still thinks their dad loves them. And is desperate even more than Elizabeth to prove his worth as like a surgeon and a medical guy. He also feels left out because Evans just a tiny little guy so he can't help his siblings with any murder stuff :(

"Having moved to Lakewood earlier that year, things were starting to look up for Jeff Carpenter and his family - having gained a new lease on comfort with Michael Rains and his daughter Jane having become part of the family. However, what started with a brief scuffle between himself, his twin Lou, and two high school delinquents (Troy Evans and Keith Rosenberg), would eventually come to a boiling point and a later confrontation with Troy's older cousin - Randy Caldwell. A confrontation in which, in a fit of rage, Jeff would be set alight."

  William was born to James and Helen Afton in Essex, England. James died in WW2 in 1944 when William was 6. Helen remarried in 1946 to a man by the name of George. George resented and was highly abusive to William, their relationship was strained at best. Once William turned 18 he moved to America to pursue a college education. He never regained contact with his mother and step-father. William went to college for a degree in engineering in 1956. There he met Henry and they quickly became friends. One year later he met Elanor and they married in 1959. They had three children together.

  Henry was born to Edward and Dorothy Emily in Hurricane Utah. He had a normal childhood growing up and went to college in 1957 where he met William. He ended up marrying his highschool sweetheart Ruth in 1961. They had their only child Charlie in 1971. They then divorced in 1981.

  Michael is the oldest son of William and Elanor, he was born and raised in Hurricane, Utah. After his mother dying when he was 9 his father started to abuse him, it subsequently got worse as his brother and sister passed. He met his girlfriend Jenny when he was 18 and they quickly had a child, Evan Jr. He worked as a security guard for multiple Fazbear Ent. Inc. locations.

  Elizabeth and Evan are the two younger children of William and Elanor. They were born only a year apart and were favorited by William, their mother died when they were too young to remember her and became highly attached to William. Both died very young. Elizabeth possessed Circus baby and Evan possessed Golden Freddy.

 Charlie Emily was the only child of Henry and Ruth. She grew up very close to her “cousins” Michael, Elizabeth, and Evan. She had a good relationship with her “uncle” William. She was murdered by William at 12 years old and possessed the puppet.

 Elanor Schmidt was the wife of William and mother of Michael Elizabeth and Evan. She was a proficient ballet dancer and ended up being a stay at home mother to her three children, she had a loving relationship with her husband but it ended up tense at the end of it, she was murdered by her husband in 1978.

 Ruth Davis was the wife of Henry and mother of Charlie. She met Henry in highschool and they had a decent relationship until they drifted apart and ended up divorcing. She gave up parental rights to Henry. 

  Jenny Smith is the girlfriend of Michael Afton and the mother of Evan Jr. She met Michael when she was a teenager and supported him through his teenage years, which lead them to fall in love with each other. She got back together with Michael after his accident and they raised Evan together. 

  Evan Jr. Smith is the son of Michael and Jenny. He had a normal childhood and early adulthood. He ended up being possessed by his grandfather William and lost his sense of self in 2030 and essentially died. 

  Vannessa Williams is a security guard at the Pizzaplex. She resurrected William and helped him possess his grandson. They are in a strenuous relationship. 

Main timeline of events       

Henry and William start Fredbear’s Family Diner in 1964

William suffers a springlock accident, permanently scarring him.

Michael Afton is born in 1969

Charlie Emily is born in 1971

Fredbear’s Family Diner opens more locations.

Elizabeth Afton is born in 1976

Evan Afton is born in 1977

In 1978, Elanor Afton is killed by her husband William with a sledgehammer. He takes her body and disposes of it in the Utah desert. Due to marital conflicts being known, he is interrogated but the case is quickly dropped.

Evan Afton’s 6th birthday takes place in Fredbear’s in 1983. His older brother and his friends put his head into the Fredbear animatronic and Evan’s head is quickly crushed. He is rushed to the hospital and put into a medically induced coma. The events of FNAF 4 take place in his head over a week when he is pronounced brain dead and dies. He possesses the Fredbear animatronic.

Over the next year, William’s mental health rapidly deteriorates and he becomes obsessed with the idea of possession. He theorizes that his son is in the fredbear animatronic and starts to design animatronics to test his theory by giving them the capability to capture and kill children inconspicuously. 

A sister location known as Circus Baby’s Funland is opened with William’s new animatronics. Elizabeth becomes infatuated with one of the robots, Baby, based off of her. William commands her to stay away but she defies his orders and is killed by Baby.

William’s sanity decreases once again.

Henry, noticing the problems in his business partner's life and mental state, and proximity to horrific accidents, forces him to leave the company for his own good. He also secretly fears for his own daughter's safety. Henry designs an animatronic puppet to act as a watchguard for her.

One night Charlie is locked outside of Fredbear’s Family Diner and William murders her in the alley next to the building. The puppet follows Charlie outside and she possesses her. William is dropped as a potential assailant due to lack of evidence.

After this death, the restaurant chain is renamed to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in 1984

New animatronics are designed (toys) and new locations are opened up subsequently.

Michael and Jenny have Evan Jr.

William disguises himself as a security guard, uses his springbonnie suit, and murders five children in 1987. 

Due to the murders, the restaurant is about to be shut down, but one more party takes place, during this time, a security guard by the name of Jeremy Fitzgerald gets bitten in the head by Mangle, this is the bite of ‘87

The location is shut down and William is apprehended due to previous speculation, he is let go due to the police being unable to find the bodies.

In 1993 a new location is opened up with refurbished animatronics, Michael is hired as a nightguard but ends up being fired.

One night, William enters the building in an attempt to dismantle the animatronics. He is confronted by the ghosts of the murder victims. In an attempt to scare them off, William dons the springbonnie suit, but the suit malfunctions.

William dies in 1993 in the backroom of a Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. He possesses springbonnie. 

Learning of William’s disappearance, Henry closes off every backroom in every location under the guise of “budget cuts’

In 1995, Michael travels to the underground bunker holding Baby and the other Circus Baby’s Funland animatronics to rectify his mistakes and find out more about his father. Baby and the rest manipulate Michael into helping them escape, and they end up leading him into the scooping room, scooping out his organs and killing him. Baby and the others congeal into one animatronic and enter Michael’s body. They use his body as an attempt to  conform to civilian life but it starts to rot and it expels them.. Michael’s soul possesses his own body, essentially becoming undead.

After being expelled, infighting causes Baby to be removed from Ennard due to her being Afton's daughter and refusing to kill Michael. She rebuilds herself and Ennard becomes Molten Freddy.

Michael, being undead, finds Jenny, who accepts him, and they begin to raise Evan together.

30 years pass.

The children’s murders essentially become urban legend at this point.

In another attempt to dispel the urban legend, Fazbear Ent. Inc. opens a horror attraction known as Fazbear Frights in California. Michael starts to work there to continue his hunt for his father. 

Springtrap is transported to the location as a prop, as workers found his body. 

Michael and Springtrap fight and Michael sets the building on fire. Springtrap survives as well as Michael, and Michael captures him and drives him to Utah so Henry can deal with him. 

Springtrap escapes Michael’s capture.

In a desperate attempt to end everything once and for all, Henry opens up a fake pizzeria in 2024 to lure all the still roaming souls.

In a miracle, it works, and Springtrap, Baby, Molten Freddy, Golden Freddy, and the Puppet (in Lefty) all arrive.

Michael works at the building to help Henry during this.

Henry locks down the building and sets it ablaze, killing everyone and himself in the building. Michael survives.

William is sent to Hell, to be tormented by Cassidy for eternity, she traps all of the other souls alongside her to torment William as well. Henry eventually convinces her to release the souls and pass on herself to leave William to burn in hell. 

Six years pass.

Fazbear Ent. Inc. opens up the Pizzaplex, with all new animatronics and redesigns.

Vanessa works at the Pizzaplex as a security guard.

Evan Jr. Works at the Pizzaplex as an animatronic engineer.

Due to her obsession with the murders and William, she attempts to bring him back to life, and it works. 

He ends up possessing her, and appears in her head as Glitchtrap.

Vanessa finds Williams old body (springtrap) under the pizzaplex and slowly starts to rebuild it so william can possess it. 

William possesses his body again.

After the battle with Gregory and Glamrock Freddy, his body gets destroyed and he possesses his grandson, Evan Jr. Him and Vanessa escape.

William and Vanessa work together over a year to start murdering children again, as William wants remnant due to it extending life and he does not want to return to Hell.

Michael goes to the pizzaplex and attempts to stop Vanessa and William.

He ends up getting murdered by William.

Michael possesses Glamrock Freddy.

The future of this is up to debate :)

What's Sparktober?

Sparktober started on Livejournal as an unofficial lighthearted call for Sheppard/Weir fluff fics in 2007, quickly expanded to all genres of Sheppard/Weir fanfics and other fanworks, and was formalized in 2010 in this vintage lj community. It's now an annual celebration of this ship and a wonderful community of fans that are still making friends and creating fic and other fanworks after all these years.

Explaining FNAF: Hurricane Pt. 1: Before the Storm

Having special interests in FNAF and human nature (especially its oddities) can apparently have adverse effects on a subject. The subject being me.

(Warning, there's a lot)

I have autism, the kind where I get super invested in a niche and can never let it go for just about years on end. My niche is William Afton and his family which has been combined with my trivial knowledge of mental health, mental conditions, neurodivergence, history, storytelling, psychology, etc. to create this conglomerate clusterfuck that is the Hurricane AU.

The alternate universe at its core focuses on the father-son dynamic between Michael and his father William. There are six parts to the Afton Family arc:

and Reunion

I'll infodump about Before the Storm because that's the first one I mentally created and what I have the most art of.

The lore aspect of FNAF isn't apparent at the moment, that will come later on after the characters are properly introduced with all of their flaws, quirks, positives, negatives, and before the catalyst of the whole plot kicks off, starting from 1980 and ending in 1983. This introduction/rising action section has been dubbed what it is called because Hurricane, Utah and I'm a smartass.

Everything in the Hurricane AU happens very slowly at first and when it kicks off, it shoots like a fucking rocket. It's the small details that have the biggest impact for this first section in order for the rest of the story to make sense, especially why things happen the way they do.

Let me introduce you to the family,

Michael Afton:

Oh, yeah, he's a teenager. Cocky, argumentative, confrontational, and the main character of the entire AU. Before the Storm follows him through his upper teenage years: 15 - 18 (fifteen to eighteen). This guy can fit so much resentment in him. He's also inherently kind, artistic, and stubborn in both a good way and a bad one. His mom left with his baby sister when he was thirteen (13) years old and noticeably hasn't been the same since then. Highly embarrassed of what's left of his family (especially his effeminate, odd, and immature father) plus lack of at-home attention has led to a lot of stunts. He's by no means a hateful person, but he doesn't have the ability to express his unhappiness in a proactive way.

Evan Afton:

A rambunctious elementary school kid. As Michael's kid brother, it's his duty to annoy the shit out of him, and as William's middle child, make him fear for his son's life at times. He isn't careful, so accidents happen a lot with him, see the road rash scars on face, arm, and leg. Through his section he's 7 - 10 (seven to ten) years old, and deals a lot with school, peer, and at-home stress, but he's a generally happy child. He isn't without his quirks, Evan is loud, mean, destructive, and likes to deal with his problems very physically (he's a fighter). Evan deals with night terrors every so often, has some twitches and tics, and by god does he have a temper.

Elizabeth Afton:

Lizzie is far more used to privilege and a quiet home, coming from an estate in London, living with her mother for the six (6) years of her life, but the first summer over to Utah in 1980 led to the interesting discovery that she could be loud, messy, and by her mother's terms, 'un-ladylike'. She provides an outside perspective into a household that has music constantly playing, an argument or fight always happening, and a mess somewhere. She's highly energetic, imaginative, and friendly. Michael had no problem sharing his loud and argumentative nature with her, making her a handful when she comes around.

And William Afton:

Co-owner of Fredbear's Family Diner and Fazbear Entertainment immigrated from London, William has a lot of loves: his children, Henry and his mind, creating whatever he can figure out, and rabbits to name a few. He feels everything with a fierce intensity, and he'll express the intensity. That's typically where problems arise. Especially between him and Michael. Their arguments are usually about not understanding the other. William is a troubled individual, but he does his best to make good choices, but he slips in his decision-making very often. He's chaotic, spiteful, intelligent, energetic, and kinda funny to watch per Michael and Henry's fair opinion. He's fairly young, 32 (thirty-two) years old circa 1980, and at times, acts like a child himself.

Before the Storm has a soap opera feel because the main plot hasn't started, but there's still a lot of backstories to explore and character dynamics to introduce before they're whiplashed by tragedy. The section is treated as a control for what is going to change in on-coming parts. I also just wanted something that felt good with all of the rest being angst.

A tragedy as big as losing a child can take over lives, (especially in a sudden accident) and the family in Before the Storm are the lives that it took. So, this part is an inside view into what exactly was lost.

Aka a post containing all the information I've shared about this au put in one place for my sanity

au where all the aftons live and william doesnt get springlocked and the murders continue and the afton kids each have shit theyre dealign with because of it

Liz helps William with the murders, Michael is trying to stop him, Evan is trying to keep it on the down low so his friends don't find out.

Sammy, Charlie, Tony, Ellis, Gregory, and Cassie are all working to uncover the murders which started several years ago with five young children. One of which, Cassidy, was Evan's close friends. Her death affected him horribly and that was a very rough patch in his life that was lifted by Gregory and only Gregory.

Gregory, who lived with his older sister Vanessa following the death of their parents, was adopted by Henry when she disappeared mysteriously. Cassie also lives with them, but it's temporary while her dad is away for work.

Tony is specifically looking for the person who attacked him when he was 12.

Michael discovered his father a while ago (when he was 15) and has been working with Jeremy and some other friends to uncover enough evidence to get his dad caught.

When Evan first finds out, he does not know Michael knows, but Michael knows Evan knows.

Beckory and Jeremike are canon

here are the ages of all the characters when the story takes place:

Elizabeth is 15 about to turn 16 (id say in a month or so?)

Evan is 17

Michael is 20

Gregory Sammy and Charlie are all 17 (gregory is slightly younger tho)

Ellis Tony and Cassie are 18

15) Favourite ship.

Oh gee I wonder. It’s obvious Michael and Charlie. I love the two together. If I were to go for a lesbian ship for Charlie it’s Jessica easily.

18) Favourite relationship they have in canon

I guess this one has to be Jessica simply due to the fact that they have a friendship that was in the books and so it’s not fanon. I like how Jess is basically Charlie’s right hand woman with her helping out with Freddy’s or just with her dating live. It’s a lot better in twisted ones as Jessica has lived with Charlie so she’s a lot more used to the mess that Charlie was after silver eyes so yeah.

21) If you are a fic writer what’s your favourite thing to do while writing the character and your least favourite thing?

Favourite thing is easily the fact that’s she’s this character that can have so many relationships with different characters and it makes sense. She can be this big sister figure to Evan and Elizabeth. She can be Henry’s greatest thing, she can be the thing that stops Michael from going over the edge until she dies. But my favourite thing is her relationship with William as those two are perfect rivals.

I know a lot of people say Michael and William but it’s so much better with William and Charlie especially when Charlie’s dead cause William can just go full mask off and taunt her while with Michael he can’t do that as if Michael just records the conversation then William could get thrown in jail.

Least favourite thing… I guess I don’t want to make her too Mary Suish or just make her this minor character that’s just tied to Afton and that’s it. I don’t like doing that as I think she’s super interesting.
